Nobby_McDonald
PRE SHOW Buddy Matthews beat AR Fox in 9:25 by pinfall with a Murphys Law. 57 COLLISION Saturday, week 2, March 2024 Viking Pavilion, Portland, Oregon (3,400 capacity) Announcers: Kevin Kelly, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone Steve Austin walks down to the ring to start Collision as 3,400 fans in Portland go wild. He climbs into the ring and is handed a microphone... Why am I in AEW? Austin says... I'm here because I can be... I'm here because I want to be... I'm here so I can raise some hell... but as I said on Dynamite age and injuries have got the better of me now so physically I have to have some help doing it now... and at The Big Gamble I will get that help... and the man who will help me is going to raise some hell for 'Hangman' Adam Page... who is it? Austin says... You'll have to wait he says, answering his own question... he pops open a cold one and raises it to the fans, saying "let's raise some hell". 79 v AEW LEAGUE Black Lotus (Kris Statlander) v The Spooky Club (Julia Hart (TBS champion)) Statlander had most of the match, but Hart has been TBS champion for a while now and one reason is she is cunning and resourceful. She used a hair pull to get Statlander in position for the Hartless and took the match in 8:41 by submission. 54 Statlander out performned Hart 58-39 Statlander benefitted from public support. In the basement of the building, the World Tag Team champions Darby Allin and Sting are standing across from Alex Abrahantes and the Lucha Brothers. The two sides show each other respect and Alex says Penta and Fénix are the top ranked tag team, so he's asking for a World Tag Team Championship match at The Big Gamble... Sting says he has a lot of respect for the Lucha Brothers, that they are one of the most exciting tag teams in the world today... and he grants them the title match for April's pay per view. 61 v AEW LEAGUE Timeless Ensemble (Saraya (with Harley Cameron) & 'Timeless' Toni Storm (Women's World champion, with Luther)) v TV Network (Taya Valkyrie & Tessa Blanchard) A decent match and one where the Women's World champion shined the brightest, ironic as she likes being in black and white. She helped Timeless Ensemble to win in 10:33 though it was Saraya who scored the pinfall on Valkyrie with a Ribcracker. 53 Storm out performed everyone else (59, next best Blanchard 49) Saraya suffered from being in poor form. Timeless Ensemble v TV Network is the first match pairing to complete their set of 5 matches in the AEW League. Renee Paquette is backstage with The Patriarchy. She asks TNT champion Christian Cage about Adam Copeland's challenge for The Big Gamble... Cage says he is done with Copeland... but if he gets the chance to be rid of him for good, he'll take it so he accepts his challenge for an I Quit match. 67 v AEW LEAGUE The Peak of Perfection (Wardlow) v Team WooItsNathan (Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford)) A short match, thankfully because it was dull. Wardlow dominated, but did so even though he performed poorly. He won in 4:41 by pinfall with a Powerbomb Symphony. 34 Wardlow was really off his game. Lexy Nair is in the backstage interview area with Team Swerve. She asks for their thoughts... Nick Nemeth says they should be doing a lot better, and he's dying to get more action for his team... Swerve Strickland says 6th place isn't good enough for a team with their talent... Mercedes Moné says their league position isn't going to bring the money in... while Samoa Joe says tonight he has something more important as he will defend his World Championship against Jon Moxley in the main event. 70 v AEW LEAGUE The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society ('The Professor' Serena Deeb) v The Golden Lion Club (Ruby Soho) The 6th and 4th ranked women in AEW meet in league action. It was a good match, the best of the night so far and it went the way of The Golden Lion Club when Soho won in 12:13 by pinfall with a Destination Unknown. 60 Deeb out performed Soho 61-51 Alex Marvez has been granted access to The EVPs' luxurious, private locker room. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson say that Revolution was a travesty of justice... Matthew continues, saying that Darby Allin transgressed all health and safety when he leapt off a ladder on top of Nicholas Jackson and through the glass... Nicholas goes on by saying the match should have been stopped there and then, a no contest called and a rematch should have taken place, remarking there is no place for such sick acts in professional wrestling. 58 v OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND Johnny TV v 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson TV got some of his parkour based offence in, but in a good contest Danielson simply out wrestled his opponent on the way to a win, it arriving in 11:01 by pinfall with a Busaiko Knee. 74 Danielson far out performed TV 80-60 Backstage and we see Jake The Snake Roberts with Jack Perry. Jake Roberts his handling a python while Jack Perry is looking a little nervous handling an anaconda. Roberts tells Perry he has to remain calm, have a clear mind and be ready to strike at any time... it's what snakes do. 43 v The Gunns (with Jay White) v Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes) Lucha Brothers have been in great form of late, especially Fénix, and this continued with a convicing win over fellow former World Tag Team champions. If Lucha Brothers continue in this vein then Darby Allin and Sting are going to face their most difficult challenge yet at The Big Gamble. Penta beat Colten in 11:13 by pinfall with an Assisted Fear Factor. 68 Fénix out performed everyone else (85, next best Penta 65) Penta was really off his game. Backstage and Bryan Danielson is with Renee Paquette. Danielson says he's pleased to beat Johnny TV tonight and go through to the Second Round of the Owen Hart Foundation Men's Tournament... but he's looking ahead to The Big Gamble... he wants in The Big Gamble match... and he's willing to gamble his entire career... if he loses he will retire on the spot. 70 v AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Samoa Joe (champion) v Jon Moxley Moxley has had Joe's number in recent league tag and trios matches, so he's earned a World Championship match as he looks to become a four time World champion. The match was very even, hard hitting and some high impact moves between two of AEW's bona fide tough men. In one on one action, it was Joe who just edged it, making defence number four in 21:51 by pinfall with a Muscle Buster. 75 - match of the night Show rating: 73 AEW increased popularity in 13 regions. Nobby_McDonald
TRANSFER & SIGNING WINDOW The transfer and signing window is now open as at least 5 teams have now had 16 matches. The window will remain open until at least 5 teams have had 24 matches. It will then be closed for the remainder of the season, other than to replace wrestlers who become unavailable. Managers are now free to release anybody in your squad for any reason. This wrestler then becomes a free agent and can be signed by anybody else. You can sign anybody not signed for a league team you want. If this is a non AEW wrestler, it is dependant on them being able and willing to sign a contract in game. You can sign anybody from another league team, provided the other manager agrees to let them go. If the other manager refuses to release the wrestler, you can't sign them. You cannot go above the maximum of 4 men and 3 women in your squad. So if you have a full squad, you must release somebody to be able to sign somebody. You can either post on this forum thread or private message me of wrestlers you are releasing and signing. If there is a scenario where more than one manager wants to sign the same wrestler, then whichever is earliest according to the time it shows me on this forum thread or in the private message gets the signing. There is no limit to the number of changes you can make while the window is open.

Not this season no as we are nearly half way through. There will definitely be space for one new team next season as now the league is up and running, I realise that 10 is the ideal number. More than that and it will be too many to fit in with running AEW in the game and also my time running the league. There will likely be two spaces as WooItsNathan has been inactive all season since the initial draft so I'll be very surprised if he makes a reappearance to run his team. Of course the eight active teams will remain in the league if they want to. If any of those choose to drop out after this season then that will be their choice and would free up another space.

Nobby_McDonald
PRE SHOW Dark Order beat The Gates of Agony in 8:57 when Reynolds submitted Liona with a Reynolds Wrap. 50 DYNAMITE Wednesday, week 3, March 2024 Daily's Place, Jacksonville, Florida (5,500 capacity) Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone We start with Adam Page in the ring, who again calls out Steve Austin... Austin walks down to the ring and Page demands to Austin that he reveal his choice of opponent for The Big Gamble... Austin just laughs as Page and calls for a cold one... a member of ring crew tosses four beer cans into the ring. Austin opens one and downs it, right in front of Page... He does it again and Page is getting infuriated... Austin offers Page a beer only to fake him out, which leaves Page cursing as Austin downs his third can... before Austin opens his last one he tells Page that while he was the baddest S. O. B. back in the day, he's also smart... which is why if Adam Page lays one finger on Steve Austin he's going to get suspended... Austin drinks his last beer as Page leaves up the ramp, muttering bullshit as he does. 76 Austin was fantastic in this segment, much like classic Austin from the WWE Attitude era albeit without the physicality. v Best Friends v Latin American Xchange (with Konnan) The opening contest was a very good affair and very evenly matched, with only 2 points seperating the two trios in their total individual ratings. This new version of LAX picked up the win on their AEW debut together in 10:53 when Rush pinned Beretta with a Rush Driver. 66 Beretta seemed off his game. Blackpool Combat Club are seen at the bottom of a flight of stairs at Daily's Place... Jon Moxley warns The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass to focus on wrestling and take things seriously... Wheeler Yuta says that scissoring is stupid... and Claudio Castagnoli says that if the Trios champions don't take their match seriously at The Big Gamble then they will lose the championship and get seriously hurt. 58 v AEW LEAGUE Black Lotus (Jamie Hayter & Kris Statlander) v TV Network (Tessa Blanchard & Taya Valkyrie) A decent enough match between four quality wrestlers. Black Lotus were the superior team in the match and converted this into three points in 10:57 when Hayter pinned Blanchard with a Curb Stomp. 58 Hayter and Statlander both benefitted from public support. Alex Marvez is with Taz and his son, the FTW champion Hook. Marvez asks Taz how he feels about his son... Taz says he is very proud of Hook, the man and the wrestler he has become... Taz also says he is proud of the FTW Championship, what it means and stands for and that Hook can be champion for a very long time. 49 v AEW LEAGUE Team Swerve (Samoa Joe (World champion) & Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)) v The Spooky Club ('Very Nice, Very Evil' Danhausen & 'The Icon' Sting (World Tag Team champion)) A match that was better than some perhaps expected, though Team Swerve had pretty much all of it. This led to a comfortable enough win in 7:50 when Strickland pinned Danhausen with a Swerve Stomp. 70 Danhausen benefitted from public support. Following AEW League action we go to an AEW League interview as backstage Lexy Nair is with Team WooItsNathan. Kip Sabian say they have Bandido now available for action but laments how badly they have been doing. Anna Jay says it has been embarrassing. The Butcher looks like he wants to chop somebody up. 40 v AEW LEAGUE The Golden Lion Club (Athena & Willow Nightingale) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society (Hikaru Shida & Riho) And back to league action and another solid match. One that can perhaps be considered a bit of an upset as The Golden Lion Club knocked off two former Women's World champions. Their win came in 11:51 when Athena pinned Riho with a Top Rope Stunner. 58 Athena benefitted from being in amazing form. Renee Paquette is backstage with Dark Order... where Evil Uno says they are going to make Dark Order a force again... and will start next week when they beat The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass to win the World Trios Championship. 49 v Big Bill & 'Absolute' Ricky Starks v Private Party A decent match that went with the favourites, despite Bill not looking good. The former World Tag Team champions' win came in 6:35 when Starks pinned Quen with a Spear. 61 Bill performed worse than everyone else (43, next best Quen 53) Starks benefitted from being flavour of the month. Undisputed Kingdom just start cutting a promo backstage but before Adam Cole can finish his first sentence, both he and Roderick Strong have a look of total fear and literally run off camera. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett aren't far behind them and it's soon revealed why as Jake Roberts holding a python and Jack Perry holding an anaconda appear in shot. Even Wardlow, who initially stayed put to face up to Perry and Roberts backs down at the sight of two snakes getting ever closer to his face. 56 v 'The Mad King' Eddie Kingston v 'The Redeemer' Miro A very physical match between two bonafide tough guys. As the match wore on, it was clearly taking it's toll on both competitors and it was perhaps Miro's better overall conditioning that carried him to victory in 14:19 by submission with a Game Over. 59 Kingston and Miro have pretty good chemistry. Backstage and Swerve Strickland is taking in refreshments after his part in Team Swerve's AEW League victory earlier on when Renee Paquetter approaches him. She asks Swerve for his thoughts following another successful AEW League outing tonight... He says that while Joe and he have been team mates in the AEW League... and very good ones... recently they have been battling over the AEW World Championship... and next month is something called The Big Gamble... so Swerve says he is willing to not have another World Championship match at whoever is the champion after The Big Gamble as his wager to enter the match... though it won't matter as Swerve says he will walk out of Swerve's House as the new World champion. 69 v AEW LEAGUE Timeless Ensemble (Darby Allin & 'The Patriarch' Christian Cage (TNT champion)) v The Peak of Perfection (MJF & 'Switchblade' Jay White) Some great action in the main event to round off a really good night of in ring action. The Peak of Perfection have been at the top end of the league for the whole season and they showed why as they worked well together, dug deep and pulled out another win. It came in 17:12 when White pinned TNT champion Cage with a Blade Runner. Might White get a TNT Championship match in the near future? 74 - match of the night Show rating: 72 AEW increased popularity in 24 regions. Attendance: 4,786 TV rating: 1.21 (912,833 viewers and 1,609,838 overall) The show was AEW's joint second best in 2024. Darby Allin & Christian Cage v MJF & Jay White was AEW's 10th best match in 2024. The show drew the third highest AEW attendance in 2024. The show drew the highest AEW TV rating in 2024.
