Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Indianapolis, Indiana (6,500 capacity)
Announce team: Excalibur, Matt Menard and Tony Schiavone.

Rampage starts in the backstage interview area where we see Renee Paquette with Private Party. Isiah Kassidy say they are in the main event tonight against Best Friends and they will beat there ass… and Marq Quen says afterwards they will be celebrating with shots in downtown Indy. 42

Iron Savages v Top Flight & Action Andretti

Jameson performed worse than everybody else (25, next worst Andretti 42)
Dante Martin benefitted from a hot new move.

Backstage and Dark Order challenge the trio of Jake Hager, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard to a trios match next week. 44

CRAZY COLOR CLASH
Skye Blue (with Julia Hart) v Red Velvet
Special guest referee: Orange Cassidy
Guest commentator: Malakai Black

Red Velvet wore red… Orange Cassidy wore an orange and black striped referee shirts with his usual slacks, Malakai Black wore black at the announce desk and Skye Blue wore… black. Spoilsport. Cassidy introduced a new way of referee counting, sloth count, which was so nonchalant and slow that normal counting cadence is about three times quicker. The ladies did manage to get to a result despite Cassidy’s slow but consistant counting, though the wrestling was bad. Blue in black won in 8:03 by pinfall with a Code Blue. 35
Blue out performed Velvet 40-26
Blue benefitted from public support.

Best Friends are with Danhausen and Renee Paquette backstage. Renee asks them about the main event… Chuck Taylor says they are going to be party poopers… Trent Beretta says there will be no shots in Indianapolis tonight… while Danhausen says he will put a curse on Private Party. 54

OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Toa Liona (with Prince Nana) v Sammy Guevara (with Konnan)

Another sub par match, and it was clear the injury that Guevara is carrying was affecting him in the match. He still managed to win though in 9:42 by pinfall with a Go To Hell. 42
The injury Guevara is carrying took a big toll.

We are backstage and Julia Hart challenges Billie Starkz to a match on Rampage next week. 54

COLLISION
Saturday, week 3, April 2024
Kellogg Arena, Battle Creek, Michigan (6,500 capacity)
Announcers: Kevin Kelly, Nigel McGuiness and Tony Schiavone

We start the last show before The Big Gamble in the parking lot, where the Adam Copeland has his back to the camera and he has Spike slung over his shoulder. He's clearly waiting for Christian Cage... one car pulls in but Copeland remains where he is... a second car enters the lot and Copeland strides forwards... the passenger door opens, Christian Cage pops his head out and immediately goes back in and the car speeds off... It's obvious Cage wants nothing to do with Copeland while he has Spike. 74

TessaBlanchard3.jpg.cb97a0d2d6e9d3188088c0e7131fcc74.jpgTrinity3.jpg.d057e53c80cf0dddf1f080e2a9c89180.jpg v AnnaJay5.jpg.054fec74fa968f625515978e24dec5e7.jpgDiamante.jpg.ed0542f46290946951fc78c923d5f039.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
TV Network (Tessa Blanchard & Trinity) v Team WooItsNathan (Anna Jay & Diamanté)

Not a bad opening contest that went in the way of the form book as TV Network picked up the win courtesy of Blanchard pinned Diamanté in 7:08 with a Piledriver. 51
Trinity out performed everyone else (59, next best Blanchard 49)
Trinity benefitted from public support.

Blackpool Combat Club's Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta are walking backstage, discussing the World Trios Championship match they have tomorrow night at The Big Gamble. The cameras pick up the champions The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass hidden, waiting... They wait for their moment as the BCC pass and ambush them with steel pipes, leaving their challengers lying on the ground... Max Caster says they are taking this seriously and they will see them tomorrow night. 51

MattHardy.jpg.5f4d6c9573e9332305b275257fcc1158.jpgJeffHardy7.jpg.1e4aac695218d98aeb6fa5a06551148b.jpg v Dutch.jpg.44bd708122000267b4da8770486e27be.jpgVincent(5).jpg.08cf608f0e217ced275a7953771aa52f.jpg
The Hardys v The Righteous (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts & Jack Perry)
Not the best tag team match and The Righteous probably just about had the better of it. The Hardys have so much more experience and they used that to come out on top in 8:45 when Matt pinned Vincent after a Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb. 52

Backstage again and Sami Zayn leaves his locker room and walks down the corridor. Chris Jericho attacks him from behind, telling Zayn "welcome to AEW" and that he will have another ass kicking tomorrow night. 66
Zayn benefitted from public support.

CashWheeler2.jpg.c671054b1fd485abf5c2d1a530255a2a.jpg v Sting1.jpg.c30a85eafe83c0f7ca3daec6d77e74fe.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Cash Wheeler v 'The Icon' Sting (World Tag Team champion)
A decent match between a tag team specialist and an icon on a now rare singles outing. The legend prevailed here in 9:43 by submission with the Scorpion Deathlock. 55

It's AEW League report time with Lexy Nair and this time she is with The Spooky Club, minus Sting who is still in the ring haven't just beaten Cash Wheeler. Malakai Black and Julia Hart do most of the talking, saying they are used to the House always winning, so doing so bad in The Spooky Club hurts. 50

MattJackson3.jpg.009d4bda7de19f1b140c121d5fd9e0ec.jpgNickJackson4.jpg.b22be6af4d9240c5cacc57996c734606.jpg v KeithLee.jpg.869b0748421f5e1fbb501606ae721b8c.jpgDustinRhodes_alt.jpg.efc212a935b826b9d4f41bb8cb7a510f.jpg
The EVPs (with Adam Page) v Naturally Limitless
The EVPs were excellent here, outclassing their opponents and dominating the match. The win was pretty much a foregone conclusion in 11:25 when Matthew pinned Rhodes after an EVP Trigger. 73
Rhodes performed worse than everybody else (44, next worst Lee 56)
Lee and Rhodes don't click as a team.

Jim Ross has the four women from The Big Gamble - Women's World champion Toni Storm and her challengers Deonna Purrazzo, Athena and Jamie Hayter.  JR asks each of them for their thoughts... Athena says it is worth risking the ROH Women's World Championship to win the AEW one... Purrazzo says she's risking her hair because there is no way she is losing, and she will walk out of The Big Gamble as champion... Hayter says she wants her title back so will use her number one ranking to get it... and the screen goes black and white as Storm says she had no choice darling but no matter, the script says she will remain champion as she is Timeless. 60
Hayter benefitted from public support.

AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve (Nick Nemeth, Samoa Joe (World champion) & Santana) v Timeless Ensemble (Sami Zayn, 'Best Bout Machine' Kenny Omega & 'Freshly Squeezed' Orange Cassidy)

A good match and while Samoa Joe was a decent match for the Timeless Ensemble unfortunately for Team Swerve his partners could not live up to their quality. As a result, the win was comfortable for Timeless Ensemble and came in 11:12 when Omega pinned Nemeth with a One Winged Angel. 72
Cassidy benefitted from a hot new move.
Zayn benefitted from public support and is improving at his gimmick.

Renee Paquette is backstage with Jay White and Will Ospreay. She asks them for their thoughts ahead of their Owen Hart Foundation tournament match tomorrow night. White says Ospreay will be outgunned by the leader of the Bang Bang Gang... Ospreay responds by saying he has beaten the best that AEW has to offer and tomorrow night will be no different. 62

AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes) v Black Lotus ('Rated R Superstar' Adam Copeland, Miro & 'Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis))

A really good trios match with everybody getting decent offence in. Fénix was yet again outstanding. He and his brother led his team to victory, which was earned in 13:36 when Castagnoli pinned Miro with a Neutralizer. 75 - match of the night
Fénix performed better than everybody else (88, next best Penta 77)

Backstage and the women of LAX - Thunder Rosa, Mercedes Martinez and Diamanté are seen in the midst of a three on one assault on Mercedes Moné. The CEO is lying on the concrete in agony as Hikaru Shida and Riho rush to the scene with kendo sticks but it is too late... the damage has been done and LAX are in retreat. 54

AEW LEAGUE
The Peak of Perfection (MJF & 'Switchblade' Jay White) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society ('The Mad King' Eddie Kingston & Jon Moxley)

A good, even match featuring two top all rounders against two top brawlers. And the brawlers prevailed with Kingston getting something of an upset win in 16:09 by pinfall over White with a Huracan. 72
Kingston and Moxley have great chemistry.

TBS CHAMPIONSHIP
Ruby Soho (champion) v Kris Statlander, with Willow Nightingale)

Ladies first on tonight's pay per view and it's a decent match between Statlander who is trying to regain the TBS Championship and Soho who recently beat Julia Hart to win it. Statlander caused Soho a lot of trouble with her power game and was to winning the title, but Soho hung tough and managed to retain in 12:19 by pinfall with a Destination Unknown. 62
Soho 56, Statlander 62
Statlander benefitted from public support.

Backstage and Renee Paquette is with Athena. Renee asks her if she is ready for tonight... Athena says she is... she's risking her own Ring of Honor Women's World Championship to win the All Elite Wrestling title and she's more ready than she has ever been... and tonight she will be leaving as a duel champion. 58

INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Roderick Strong (champion, with Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Wardlow) v 'Anaconda' Jack Perry (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts)
Snakes are banned from the arena

For the first time in a few weeks Strong and the rest of the Undisputed Kingdom (except Wardlow who isn't afraid) can rest easy as there are no snakes around. It allowed him to focus on the match itself and while he couldn't rest easy in the ring given his opponent was Jack Perry, he was the better man on the night and kept hold of the International Championship. His successful defence came in 12:34 by pinfall with a Half Nelson Backbreaker. 61
Strong 62, Perry 54

Deonna Purrazzo is backstage with Lexy Nair. Lexy questions Deonna's wisdom in risking her hair tonight in The Big Gamble... Purrazzo says it shows how committed, how desperate she is to win the Women's World Championship... but then it's not so big of a gamble when she knows she will be the new champion at the end of the night. 51

WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass (champions) v Blackpool Combat Club

A decent match and one where The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass didn't do their usual antics of scissoring and playing up to the crowd. It was clear they were taking this title defence and their opponents very seriously. Even though they did this, they were still out fought by the challengers and ended up losing their titles in 11:59 when Yuta submitted Ass with a Yuta Lock. Blackpool Combat Club win the World Trios Championship. 65
Ass 38, Caster 57, Bowens 62, Yuta 58, Moxley 71, Castagnoli 60
Bowens and Caster benefitted from public support.

We now see Jamie Hayter with Alex Marvez. Alex asks Hayter her thoughts ahead of The Big Gamble. Hayter says she's risking her number one ranking to enter tonight's match and while the odds are less in a four way than they are in a singles match, she doesn't see anybody in the match who is able to beat her... Marvez tells Hayter she doesn't have to be beaten to not win the title... Hayter says she does have to be beaten to lose and that won't happen. 50
Hayter benefitted from public support.

Don Callis Family (with Don Callis & Jeff Cobb) v Latin American Xchange (with Konnan, El Hijo del Vikingo, Sammy Guevara & Dralistico)
Given all the backstage attacks, it was no surprise that this was a really physical and hard hitting match. And with all the associates at ringside, there was plenty of distractions and interference as well. In the end, LAX maintained their impressive and unbeaten start since reforming in 13:18 when Santana submitted Hobbs. 65
Hobbs 51, Fletcher 44, Takeshita 67, Rush 66, Ortiz 59, Santana 61
Rush was really off his game.

The screen goes black and white and Timeless Toni Storm, accompanied by Luther and Mariah May, is with Renee Paquette. Renee asks Storm how she feels facing three challengers tonight... to which Storm asks Paquette if she has read the script for tonight's blockbuster... which says your winner and still Women's World champion... Timeless... Toni... Storm. 66

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TORNADO MATCH
Darby Allin & 'The Icon' Sting (champions) v Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes)

A really good match with a good smattering of weapons and some crazy action. Darby managed to duck a double chair shot while Sting got a few bat shots in. Fénix took it up a notch when he hit a splash from the top of a ladder through Darby and a table. Later Darby had recovered and climbed onto a balcony with Penta on a table below. Darby leapt off backwards for a Coffin Drop only for Penta to roll of the table and for Darby to crash through it.
Lucha Brothers then double teamed Sting and got the win in 11:39 when Penta pinned Sting with an Assisted Fear Factor. Lucha Brothers win the World Tag Team Championship. 75 - match of the night
Allin 79, Sting 53, Penta 80, Fénix 64

We see Lexy Nair backstage and this time she has Swerve Strickland with her. She asks Swerve if tonight, at last, will be his night... Swerve says she is damn right it is... he's come close too many times before and tonight is the night he wins the big one. 61

WillOspreay7.jpg.1e8253a7ea4aa5352145cdecad49c866.jpg v JayWhite12.jpg.655b00f3b4211ec15fed0cc0d1cceb27.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
'Aerial Assassin' Will Ospreay v 'Switchblade' Jay White

A good match though perhaps not quite as good as some expected. White put a sterling effort in but Ospreay proved too good and advanced in 16:54 by pinfall with a Storm Breaker. 68
Ospreay 72, White 65

Next we have Bryan Danielson backstage with Alex Marvez. Marvez asks Danielson if he will be adding to his stellar resume tonight... Danielson says it's his time to finally add the AEW World Championship to all the other titles he has won in the past... and if he loses and tonight proves to be his last night in a wrestling ring... he says he is proud of everything he has achieved. 55

WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BIG GAMBLE
'Timeless' Toni Storm (champion) v 'The Virtuosa' Deonna Purrazzo (her hair) v Athena (her ROH Women's World Championship) v Jamie Hayter (her number one ranking

A decent match and one that was really even. All four women put in a good performance, got in a share of the offence, scored near falls and any one of them could have walked out as champion. In the end it was Jamie Hayter who bagged the glory, regaining the title in 22:09 when she pinned Athena with a Falcon Arrow. Jamie Hayter wins the AEW Women's World Championship and Athena loses the Ring of Honor Women's World Championship. 64
Storm 61, Purrazzo 62, Athena 59, Hayter 64
Athena benefitted from being in amazing form.
Hayter benefitted from public support.

It's the turn for MJF to be interviewed ahead of The Big Gamble. Lexy Nair asks the former champion if he will win the title back from the man who defeated him... MJF says he wasn't the longest reigning World champion in AEW history for nothing... he's going to win the title back tonight so it's why he's risked his job to do it... and he's better than you... and you know it. 65

ChrisJericho21.jpg.34ca6bf26c326599fed395ee793b61c0.jpg v SamiZayn8.jpg.c8ee9b9f7a7d796766072f0617d565a3.jpg
'The Ocho' Chris Jericho v Sami Zayn
A hot crowd for this one and some decent action. Zayn was focused on this one, answering Jericho's open challenge, and he completely out wrestled the legend. Zayn ended up winning rather easily in 13:35 by pinfall with a Brainbustaaaaahhhhh!!!!! 64
Jericho 47, Zayn 74
Zayn benefitted from public support.

Adam Page has made his way out to the ring for the next match and we are behind the curtain with Steve Austin... he says it's time for an ass whoopin and Page is getting it... and that's the bottom line... because Steve Austin said so as Drew Galloway appears next to him. 68

AdamPage9.jpg.769a8e85f9d478d77adf8311bb0615be.jpg v DrewGalloway6.jpg.6d6d8e54afcce0d0f95780c287b7033b.jpg
'Hangman' Adam Page (with Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) v Drew Galloway (with Steve Austin)
A good match that had a decent mix of grappling and striking. Page proved to be well matched for the Scottish sensation despite him knowing which of Austin's three men he would be facing. Galloway came out on top though in 17:11, winning by pinfall with a Claymore Kick. 68
Page 67, Galloway 74
Galloway is getting better at his gimmick.

It's the last interview of the night and the World champion Samoa Joe is with Renee Paquette. Renee asks Joe if he can handle three men tonight... Joe gives Renee a look of disdain... saying he's the World champion... he's the toughest and baddest man in AEW... and he can handle however many men AEW want to throw at him in one match. Joe sure looks like he's ready to handle things. 66

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP
I QUIT MATCH
'The Patriarch' Christian Cage (champion, with Killswitch & Nick Wayne) v 'Rated R Superstar' Adam Copeland

Another hot crowd but not quite the match to match them. Weapons aplenty here including hockey sticks, chairs, fire extinguishers, tables, a beer bottle and thumb tacks. And as Adam Copeland got more and more control of the match, Killswitch and Nick Wayne decided it was the time to make their presence at ringside felt. They entered the ring and it became a three on one beatdown. After a little bit, they got Copeland in position for the famous Conchairto...
However, Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard rushed to the ring and started attacking Killswitch and Wayne. First of all, Menard threw Wayne out of the ring, which allowed he and Garcia to double team Killswitch. When a double clothesline took the big man off his feet, they took advantage of it by handcuffing him to the ropes. They then gestured to Copeland that Cage was all his, and when they left the ring, double power bombed Wayne through the announce table to make sure he was out of the match before sliding the box containing Spike to Copeland in the ring and leaving him to it...
Copeland took out Spike and backed Copeland up into the corner. Wielding Spike above Cage's head, Copeland instead surprised him with a hard kick to the nuts. Followed by another. And another. Once, twice, thrice and it sure wasn't nice. Cage still wouldn't quit, so Copeland then used Spike to hit Cage in the nuts. He fell in a heap in the corner but still would not quit. So then Copeland started pressing Spike into Cage's head, at which point Cage finally said "I Quit" in 14:43. Adam Copeland is the new TNT champion. 67
Cage 70, Copeland 72
Cage benefitted from being in amazing form.

Prior to the main event, a video package plays showcasing how we got to The Big Gamble match. 59

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
THE BIG GAMBLE
Samoa Joe (champion) v Swerve Strickland (no title shots at the champion, with Prince Nana) v MJF (his AEW contract) v 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson

A superb match... but the problem is the crowd have become burned out, which was a shame as this match deserved to be rated a lot better than it was. Joe was a bit disappointing and as the match progressed, the champion looked like he would be the least likely to win. By contrast, Danielson was excellent and began to look like the favourite. Lots of near falls and break ups of pins and submissions followed, everyone wanted to be champion after all. Ultimately Danielson at last won AEW's big one in 27:16 when he submitted Joe with a Cattle Mutilation. Bryan Danielson wins the AEW World Championship. 68

Great show Nobby.

Loved the match type where the winner gets something and the loser loses something. Did you come up with that or was that a thing in like TNA or something? Only thing I can think of similar was Feast or Fired match, but not sure I've ever seen that in a triple threat/fatal fourway done that way before.

Mox & Danielson in the Tag match please.

Thanks PH.

Yeah, it is kind of TNA based. It's like a hybrid of option C, gambling the X Division Championship to have a World Championship match and Feast or Fired. I've kind of mashed the two together.

I also have a twist for the Casino Battle Royal which will be at Double or Nothing in the next game month. That will be for men and women as well.
