Dave Mac Posted June 14 Author Share Posted June 14 Thursday Week 2 September 1995 Venue – War Memorial Auditorium (South East) Attendance – 1,944 TV Rating – 0.21 The show opened with DDP back stage with the Diamond Doll, and he wasn’t looking particularly happy. DDP – Macho Man you better watch you step pal because you keep messing with my Diamond Doll here and we’re gunna have big problems. You better leave her alone because tonight my focus is beating Road Warrior Hawk. 65 In a short 5:24 match Lord Steven Regal defeated Chris Kanyon. 61 In the ring Lord Steven Regal was handed a mic and addressed the crowd to a chorus of boos. REGAL – Oh would you bloody idiots just shut up for a second. All I keep hearing about is The Renegade defending his Television Title against this legends of wrestling. Well at what point lad do you step in the ring with some real competition? I’ve got my eyes set on that belt of yours and going to finally bring some class to it when I take it off your hands. 29 In a tag match the champions Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater beat the James Boys in 7:46. 53 WCW Television Title Match Against legend The Iron Sheik The Renegade made his 9th defence of the title winning in 5:58 with an in ring performance of 40. 41 Brian Pillman was backstage and grabbed a cameraman to tell him. PILLMAN – Everyone keeps telling me that Double A Arn Anderson should be getting the next shot at Sting’s US title. And you know what everyone is here just ignoring me. Well trust me you can’t ignore me any more. So going to add them together and go over them much quicker to keep it all a bit more interesting. Dave Mac Posted June 24 Author Share Posted June 24 (edited) Monday Week 3 September 1995 Venue – Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum Attendance – 8,011 TV Rating – 2.83 “I AM A REAL AMERICAN” blares over the sound system and the crowd erupts as Hulk Hogan comes storming down to the ring, with the WCW World Heavyweight title around his waist. BISCHOFF – WCW, where the big boys play and there are none bigger than the Hulkster! Hulk began posing for the crowd who are going wild for his antics, before he is handed a microphone. HOGAN – Well let me tell you something Kevin Sullivan brother anyone who says they want to destroy Hulkamania is booking themselves a date with these 24 inch pythons. So Fall Brawl, War Games you send 4 of your best guys and I’ll find myself some partners to take down the Dungeon of Gloom. But on one condition. WHEN I win then I get you alone in that nasty cage for 5 minutes and will show you what Hulkamania is all about! The crowd start going wild and cheering for Hogan. HEENAN – You know what I don’t think Hulk understands what sort of evil he’s messing with here. And who in their right mind wants to get involved with the Dungeon of Doom with him. Turning to the entrance ramp Hulk carries on talking. HOGAN – With that said I know last week you said you were here for this title around my waist. But right I’ve got big problems with Kevin Sullivan and Lex Luger brother how would you like to be the 1st member of the team to take down Sullivan and his goons? Waiting for his reply Lex Luger steps out in a shirt and jeans with a microphone in hand. LUGER – Well Hulk I want that belt and that’s never gunna change. But I’m a man who wants to win it the right way. No excuses. So while you’ve got Kevin Sullivan on your mind it wouldn’t feel right to take advantage of that. So like you’ve I’ve got one condition to accepting your offer. I’ll join team Hogan for War Games but I want a shot at the WCW Heavyweight championship on the Nitro after Fall Brawl! TENAY – Well ladies gentleman what a start to Nitro. It looks like Hulk Hogan has accepted Kevin Sullivan’s face. But from the smile and nod it looks like he’s accepted Lex Lugers terms to join him on his team as well! What a start to WCW Monday Nitro! BISCHOFF – WHERE THE BIG BOYS PLAY! 92 Kamala is accompanied to the ring by Kevin Sullivan and the Dungeon fo Doom but looks completely out of his depth. Fan fan favourite and Team Stars and Stripes member Jim Duggan is in full control of the match. After 4:45 with a flying tackle Duggan wins the match and has the crowd join in with a few HOOO’s and USA chants! 37 Kamala looks completely sheepish as Kevin Sullivan steps into the ring. SULLIVAN – Mr Kamala I’m afraid within the Dungeon of Doom we have certain standards I expect us to meet and you are just falling that little bit short. With that said I think its time for some aggressive expansion. With a wave of his hand from under the ring two mean appear and slide into the ring. TENAY – That’s….thats Sabu and…. HEENAN – That other man is Raven. Believe me Tenay you do not want to mess with him. Sullivan points to the ring and immediately Sabu and Raven enter the ring and beat down Kamala to the displeasure of the crowd. Leaving him laid out in the ring as the two newest members of the Dungeon of Doom leave with Kevin Sullivan. 62 Backstage we see the Diamond Doll as Macho Man Randy Savage stumbles into her and begins shaking her shoulders and yelling at her. SAVAGE – OOOH YEAH I CAN STILL HERE HER VOICE AND I KNOW ITS YOU WHOSE THE ONE WHO NEEDS HELP RIGHT NOW. THAT’S WHAT I’M HERE FOR TO HELP YOU AND TAKE OU FROM THAT DARK PLACE…… At which point DDP comes in and sees what is going on and pushes him away. DDP – Take your damn hands off my Diamond Doll you’ve lost you mind Randy. You keep doing this every week and my Doll don’t need saving she’s got me and I’ll tell you what as you won’t when I tell you to back off we’ll just have to settle this in the ring at Fall Brawl! 65 The in ring action continue with the American Males taking on Eddy Guerrero and Dean Malenko. The match is a back and forth affair. But eventually Team Stars and Stripes own American Males pick up a victory in 12:10. 70 In a smart suit and tie we see Paul Orndorff walk into the 4 Horsemen’s dressing room. ORNDORFF – Gentlemen I have some Wonderful news. I’ve pulled a few strings and spoken to the higher ups and Arn Anderson YOU will be challenging Sting for his US title at Fall Brawl. Double A pumps his fist and excitement and shakes Mr Wonderful’s hand. ORNDORFF – And Ric don’t think I’ve forgotten you. A big smile comes across Flairs face. ORNDORFF – We had to put in some calls, but YOU will face none other than New Japan’s finest Jushin Thunder Liger at Fall Brawl! Ric’s face immediately drops as Paul shakes his hand and walks off. Flair beings to try and talk to Arn about what just happened, but Anderson is clearly too happy with his news to even listen to the Nature Boy! 77 The main event for Nitro sees the unlikely pairing of Hulk Hogan and Lex Luger taking on The Blue Bloods, Earl Robert Eaton and Lord Steven Regal. Although the Brits put up a good battle, it only takes Hogan and Luger 10:38 to pick up the victory and send a message to the Dungeon of Doom. 79 The show ends with Hogan and Lex shaking each others hands and posing for the crowd. BISCHOFF – Looks like that settles it we have a match for Fall Brawl and Hulk has 50% of a team to face Kevin Sullivan. HEENAN – And what you need to remember is he has 50% of his team missing as well. Nitro will be a standalone video and going to start adding the Main Event booking and results to the live streams I do. Dave Mac Posted July 2 Author Share Posted July 2 (edited) Monday Week 4 September 1995 Venue - Nashville Municipal Auditorium Attendance - 8,710 TV Rating - 2.85 The show opened with a recorded segment from earlier where Mr Wonderful Paul Orndorff met Jim Duggan, Scotty Riggs and Marcus Bagwell, Team Stars and Stripes, -back stage. Orndorff - "Gentleman I have some Wonderful news for you. At Fall Brawl the American males will be getting a title shot against the Stud Stable team of Bunkhouse Buck and Dirty Dick Slater!" Bischoff - "Well there you have it guys another match locked and loaded for Fall Brawl, shaping up to be one of the best pay per views in WCW where the big boys play!" 58 Television Title Match The Renegade w/ Kimona VS V.K Wallstreet In a match that lasted 7:12 The Renegade carried on his impressive run of victories with a pinfall win. 53 Following the match Gene Okerlund joined the Television Champion in the ring with a microphone. Okerlund - "Renegade another emphatic victory and THIS week at Fall Brawl you'll be defending that title against none other than Chris Benoit!" With a trademark shaking and nodding of his head The Renegade took the pic from Mean Gene. Renegade - "It is true the stars have aligned and the one they call Chris Benoit has come challenging me for this title belt. But I take on all comers gladly and defend this title with honour and intensity that only the Renegade can!" Heenan - "The mans an absolute fruit cake." 44 Road Warrior Hawk & Johnny B Badd VS The Blue Bloods The make shift team were no match for the British pairing of Eaton and Regal. Losing in 11:20 when Lord Steven Regal pinned Road Warrior Hawk. 63 In the back Hulk Hogan was preparing for his match, taping his wrists when in walked Ric Flair smiling over the top. Immediately Hogan got to his feet and squared up to the uninvited Nature Boy. Flair - "Hulk, Hulk, Hulk buddy settle down. I come in peace. I just wanted to say that me and Double A are still recruiting for the 4 Horsemen and don't forget absolutely ANYONE could be the next member." As he finished talking in walked Lex Luger who much to his surprise was greeted warmly by Ric Flair who shook his hand and gave him a hug. While embracing Luger he gave Hogan a wink. Flair - "Anyone......" With that Flair left smiling. Leaving Hogan looking confused and Lex equally as confused. Luger - "Look Hulk I know together we're a forced to reckoned with. But even my math knows 4 against 2 when its the Dungeon of Doom would be a nightmare. Fall Brawl is just round the corner have you got anyone else lined up to be our partners?" Still looking a bit uneasy at Luger, Hulk shook his head and walking away called over his shoulder. Hogan - "Don't worry I'm still working on it brother." 88 Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger & Sting VS Dean Malenko, Eddy Guerrero & Big Bubba Rogers Bischoff - "Where the big boys play and none are bigger than these 3 Hogan, Luger and Sting all in the same ring! Keep that dial fixed as you wont see wrestling action like this ANYWHERE else on a Monday night!" And Eric was correct as the 3 mega stars of WCW came out victorious when Sting made Big Bubba Rogers submit with the Scorpion Death Lock in 11:45 In Ring Hulk Hogan - 86 Lex Luger - 81 Sting - 79 71 At the end of the match immediately Ric Flair and Arn Anderson stormed the ring, but spotting the attack none other than Eddy Guerrero pushed Sting out of the way and launched Ric Flair up over the top rope to the outside. Heenan - "What on earth is Guerrero doing?!?!" Sting followed them out the ring chasing both Flair and Anderson up the ramp. Seeing the numbers were against him Hogan and Luger followed. However just as they reached the entrance from out of now where the Giant hit both Luger and Hogan with a big boot them clubbing forearm to the back. The Dungeon of Doom Kevin Sullivan, Sabu, Meng, The Giant and John Tenta all began to beat down the duo forcing them back to the ring. Once inside the job was finished when The Giant hit bot Luger and Hogan with a big boot leaving them laid out in the middle of the ring and the Dungeon of Doom arms aloft stood over them to a chorus of boos from the fans. Bischoff - "I don't believe this. The numbers game just doesn't add up for Lex and Hulk.
