WWE 2K24 sponsors WWE on TNT Sports - A Real World Diary

Recommended Posts

7th time lucky maybe starting a Dynasty on here?

For context, the Game will start April 2024, week 2 with Wrestlemania having already taken place.

My Mania 40 Card and Results for reference, a couple of tweaks but mostly the same as IRL.

Quote

Wrestlemania Saturday.

  • Rhea Ripley retained her World Title over Becky Lynch
  • A Town Down Under won a Fatal 4 Way tag match over Judgment Day, The New Day and The Awesome Truth to win the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
  • Andrade and Rey Mysterio defeated Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio
  • Jey Uso defeated Jimmy Uso
  • Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Naomi defeated Damage Control
  • Gunther retained his Intercontinental Title over Sami Zayn
  • The Rock and Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins

Quote

Wrestlemania Sunday

  • Drew McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Title from Seth Rollins
  • The Final Testament defeated Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits in a Street Fight
  • LA Knight defeated AJ Styles
  • Randy Orton won the US Title in a Triple Threat match with Kevin Owens and Logan Paul
  • IYO Sky defeated Bayley to retain her WWE Women's Title
  • Cody Rhodes finished the story and defeated Roman Reigns to win the Universal WWE Title

What to Expect?

  • A more text heavy and briefer overview of the Dynasty as it plays out. There will be extended highlights or extended promo segments depending on the story. I want to let the stories speak for themselves and if, as I continue on, I can make it look more visually appealing, I will do.

  • There will be a draft that takes place before the first weeks worth of TV's with full updated Rosters post-draft being the next post, along with the PPV schedule. The following post after will be the first weeks worth of TV shows, each post will have both of that weeks TV's.

  • I will only be booking RAW and Smackdown to keep it simple, with RAW being cut back to 2 hours, so there is synergy between the two shows.

I have booked up until Jan 2025 in game, so there is plenty to come.

Welcome along!

WWE Monday Night Raw. April. Week 2

  • We open the show with New Universal WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, he takes a victory lap, thanks the fans on RAW and announces he will now be Smackdown exclusive. He tells Roman Reigns he can have a rematch anytime he wants and he tells anyone on Smackdown to take a swing. He won't forget everything the fans here on RAW did for him and he wants to make everyone proud.

  • The Judgment Day pick up a big 6 man tag win when the team of Finn Balor, Damien Priest and JD McDonagh defeat Alpha Academy (Gable, Otis and Tozawa) after Priest impressively muscled Otis up for the Razors Edge. Judgment Day will be moving to Smackdown but, not all of them...

  • Adam Pearce hypes an 8 team tournament for the vacant RAW Tag Team Titles, starting next week...

  • Womens World Champ Rhea Ripley is out with a bandaged arm after suffering the Dis-Arm-Her for a lengthy period of time at Wrestlemania, she defeated Becky but it wasnt easy doing so, she isnt done wrestling for the weekend yet and she issues an open challenge right now, for the World Title!! Her challenger.......Queen Aminata. It is a competitive match for the newcomer, Rhea makes slightly hard work of it but pulls out the win with a Riptide. Rhea Ripley moves forwards. As she celebrates though, Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring. She tells Rhea that this is nowhere near over. Rhea Ripley doesnt get to bring up Becky's daughter and get away with it unscathed. Becky promises to take 2 things from Rhea, her arm and her Title!

  • Another new draftee to RAW now....Randy Orton! Our new US Champ comes out to celebrate with his new title. Predictably though, he is interrupted, not from the front, but by an attack from behind from AJ Styles!! Styles beats down Orton before grabbing the US Belt and sizing Randy up. It is at this point that another new signing for RAW, LA Knight runs in for the save. He runs off AJ and seems to come to a common enemy type deal with Orton, but it looks like these three new signings are continuing their beef, no matter the brand!

  • DIY pick up a big win over Imperium next in a competitive match that goes back and forth but DIY get the momentum for the Tag Team Title Tournament.

  • Sami Zayn has a microphone. He apologises to the fans last night for coming up short against Gunther. He feels like he let the fans down, although he gave it absolutely everything. Before he gets to say too much more though, World Champ (2 tonight) Drew McIntyre comes out to interrupt him. He tells Sami to stop complaining. Nothing good ever comes from complaining. He tells Sami that Drew said nothing, just kept training in the gym until his moment was here. He didnt shout, he didnt whinge to management, he didnt come out on live TV to cry in front of the fans....Sami should take a page from Drew's book, stay quiet and humble, and work hard! Sami Zayn takes on board the wise words from the champ, before popping Drew in the mouth!!! These two will go 1 on 1 in our main event tonight!!

  • A short video package on Seth Rollins, who will be live next week!

  • New RAW signee Bobby Lashley defeated Akam by count out after Kross pulled Akam away only to start brawling with Lashley himself. Adam Pearce and his security team quickly got involved as they pulled the men apart, Adam Pearce making a match for Backlash. Karrion Kross vs Bobby Lashley, in a Steel Cage Match!

  • Before the main event, CM Punk comes out for a little guest commentary.
Quote

Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn - Non Title Match

  • Sami Zayn starts out hot, clearly fired up from earlier but Drew manages to gain control after an early flurry from the Canadian, only to be distracted time and time and time again by CM Punk who honestly isnt doing a lot on colour, nothing that Drew can hear anyway. Sami starts to build ahead of steam after Drew again gets distracted and tries to end it with a Helluva kick but Drew rolls out, straight towards CM Punk before spitting in Punk's face!! Punk immediately jumps to his feet and launches over the announce table at Drew leaving the ref with no option but to call for the bell!!
  • Drew grabs his belt and smirks as he leaves up the ramp. Sami Zayn goes face to face with Punk as Punk explains himself, with the show going off the air as tension builds in the main event picture.

End of Show.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown. April. Week 2.

  • We open the show again, with Universal WWE Champion Cody Rhodes! He is the new King of Smackdown and goes into thanking the fans again when he is interrupted, by Judgment Day, consisting of Damien Priest, JD McDonagh and Finn Balor, just like RAW! They have unfinished business with Cody Rhodes but now that Rhea and Dom are on RAW, they have some new business. Before they continue, Cody Rhodes cuts them off. If Priest wants to cash in the briefcase, how about he does it right here, right now. Finn says nah mate, not so fast. Priest will cash in the MITB Briefcase when he is good and ready. Finn Balor will lay the foundations and provide the Blueprint on how to defeat Cody Rhodes when he does it in our main event tonight!

  • Paul Heyman is here, but he does NOT want to talk about it...

  • The Street Profits defeated AOP in a back and forth match. Both teams have lost their leader it seems, despite what happened Monday, but its The Street Profits who pick up the win hereafter Montez Ford defeats Akam with a frog splash! As The Street Profits celebrate, tag champs A Town Down Under come out and make an appearance, they act like arses before taking themselves, and their titles, backstage.

  • Bron Breakker destroys a jobber in 7 seconds.

  • GM Nick Aldis comes out. He has an announcement regarding a new Number One Contender tournament to find out who will challenge Cody Rhodes at Night Of Champions. Why not Backlash? We will find out soon...

  • Tiffany Stratton grabs a cameraman in the back, she forces him to point the camera at her as she is not happy with not having a match tonight but never fear, she knows the Smackdown fans needed their dose of Tiffy Time!

  • Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defeated The Kabuki Warriors in a non title match when Jade pinned Asuka after the Jaded. 2 matches for Jade Cargill, 2 victories.

  • We get another hype video, this one for Der Ring General Gunther, our Intercontinental Champion will be here next week.

  • Jey Uso defeated a local talent before taking the microphone and telling the crowd that "Main Event" Jey Uso has some big plans for 2024!

Quote

Cody Rhodes vs Finn Balor - Non Title Match

  • They go long on this one, starting slow and slowly ratcheting up the pace as the match went on. Finn proving every bit a match for Cody throughout, the constant interference from JD Mcdonagh also aiding him greatly. Damien Priest however, chose to take a more observant mode throughout the match, thoroughly scouting Cody Rhodes in the event he was to cash in. Cody Rhodes has beaten the odds a lot recently though and he does so again, avoiding a Cous de Gras, hitting a disaster kick and the Cross Rhodes for a hard fought win.

  • His night isnt over just yet though as, cutting short his celebrations, The Rock is here on Smackdown! He marches down to the ring and after the boos/cheers subside, he tells Cody (audibly), with no microphone, that this isnt over.

End of Show.

BACKLASH Card

  • Karrion Kross vs Bobby Lashley - Steel Cage Match

Notes

Let me know what you think of the layout/colours. Which one out of RAW and Smackdown looked better visually (please say Smackdown!)? and any other general notes/thoughts anyone may have based on the layout and content.

There should be another set of shows coming up fairly soon as I have up until Summerslam pre written out so stay tuned.

Thanks to everyone who read this, Cheers.

WWE Monday Night Raw. April. Week 3

  • Sami Zayn starts the show and cuts an impassioned promo, he didn't beat Drew McIntyre last week, but Drew didnt beat him either! The way Sami sees it, Drew McIntyre should put the title on the line, and see who comes out on top when the pressure is really on!

  • We get an announcement that in our main event tonight, Randy Orton will defend his US Title against AJ Styles!

  • Rhea Ripley defeated Tegan Nox with a Riptide. But no sooner does she win than Becky Lynch attacks Rhea from behind! She stomps on the injured arm of Rhea before clocking her with the title belt. Becky looks down at the fallen champ, before locking on the DisArmHer again! Becky wrenches back as Rhea cries out in pain! Refs have to pull Becky off as Rhea clutches her arm in pain!

Quote

  • Brackets for the RAW Tag Team Title Tournament

  • DIY vs Angel and Berto
  • AOP vs Pretty Deadly
  • The Creed Brothers vs Indus Sher
  • Imperium vs New Catch Republic

  • DIY defeat Angel and Berto to advance to the semi finals of the Vacant RAW Tag Team Title Tournament after Gargano made Angel tap out to the GargaNO escape.

  • Seth Rollins is here now. He wants a World Title rematch as soon as he is 100% again and as soon as his knee heals up. Drew McIntyre appears on the screen and denies it point black. There will be no rematches for Seth and tells Seth he needs to go to the back of the line. When Drew was a contender, he didnt rely on rematches and complaining. He had ONE shot and he took it! He got his head down, worked hard and fought his way to the top, singlehandedly. Seth calls Drew delusional and says that one way or another, Seth will get his rematch and he will regain his World Heavyweight Title.

  • Karrion Kross squashed a jobber with the Cross Hammer followed by the Kross Jacket. Post match, The Almighty Bobby Lashley comes out and the 2 men share a staredown ahead of their Steel Cage showdown at Backlash.

  • Dominik is in the trainers room with Rhea, he is super excited for tonight, which doesnt gel with Rhea's obvious pain. He knows he will advance in the No1 contender tournament, and he knows that Rhea will be right there with him.

  • AOP defeat Pretty Deadly to move on to the semi finals to face DIY after Akam pinned Elton Prince after AOP hit the Super Collider.

  • We get a bit of an unannounced surprise next as Paul Levesque comes to the ring to talk to the fans. He thanks them for helping make Wrestlemania 40 a huge success and that they couldnt have done it without them. He puts over both new World Champs, congratulating Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes and he has faith in both Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce are working hard on making their brand the number one brand in the WWE and both brands will have new Number One Contenders very soon.
  • Because of this, there are no obvious challengers for the World Titles at Backlash. Therefore, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will face eachother in a special Champions Challenge match. Drew McIntyre is the last person to beat Cody Rhodes and at Backlash, we will find out who the best wrestler in the world is.

  • LA Knight comes out to commentate on our main event.
Quote

Randy Orton vs AJ Styles - US Title Match

  • The match builds and builds to an eventual crescendo. Both men use the announce table to hurt their opponent and each time, LA Knight stays remarkably calm. That is, until AJ throws Orton into Knight, sending both men sprawling!! AJ grabs a dazed Orton and throws him back into the ring to set up for the Phenomenal Forearm! Of course though, LA Knight shouts at AJ, causing a split second delay, when Styles finally makes the leap, he leaps right into an RKO!! Randy Orton retains his US Title and the obvious next challenger, is LA Knight.

  • CM Punk comes out to close the show. He talks about the last couple of weeks of TV and puts over the WWE being in a phenomenal (ouch) position at the moment. Unfortunately, Punk cant wrestle at the moment but thanks to his good buddy Triple H, he has been granted a referee's license. At Backlash, in the main event, it will be Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre and there will be a special referee. The Best Referee in the World, CM Punk!

End of show.

Quote

WWE Friday Night Smackdown. April. Week 3.

  • We start the show with our WWE Women's Champ, IYO Sky, accompanied by Damage Control. She defeats Zoey Stark in a hard fought match but looks impressive whilst doing so. Post match, Damage Control celebrate, looking as strong as ever.

  • We get a short hype package on Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi. What comes next for the trio? Will they stay together, or split off?
Quote

Smackdown Number One Contender Tournament Brackets

Jey Uso vs Bronson Reed

Logan Paul vs Rey Mysterio

Kevin Owens vs Ricochet

Finn Balor vs Andrade

  • First to advance is Jey Uso after a hard fought win over Big Bronson Reed, Jey narrowly avoided a Tsunami before hitting 2 Superkicks and a wicked Tornado DDT to pin the big Australian.

  • A hype package airs for the impressive Bron Breakker.

  • Our Intercontinental Champion Gunther makes his first appearance on Smackdown, sans Imperium. He tells us all that he will make the Intercontinental Title the most prestigious title on Smackdown.

  • Andrade defeated Humberto in a fast paced match, calling out Santos Escobar post match.

  • Our Smackdown Tag Champs A Town Down Under make their way to the ring, all smiles. They grab the mics and tell the fans that they have some bad news for them all (winking at Wade Barrett who is nonplussed at the blatant gimmick infringement). Unfortunately, until the business of the tag team titles on RAW has been sorted out, there cant be a Smackdown tag team title match, this is widely available to anyone who wants to read the official WWE Rule book. Just look under rule number 213, section c.
  • One man who does know the rules is our GM Nick Aldis. He tells Waller and Theory that they completely fabricated the rule and Waller and Theory will have their first official title defence at Night of Champions, against...The New Day!
  • Aldis isn't done there though as he would like to reintroduce the returning Alexa Bliss who comes to the ring to a big ovation, slapping hands with the fans on her way.....aaaaaaaand she is immediately cut off by Tiffany Stratton!
  • Tiffy points to her watch. Does it say 2017? No. It says Tiffy Time!. NO ONE will steal her spotlight and no one will take away Tiffy Time from the fans. Alexa is somewhat dumbstruck here but tells Stratton she is welcome to come down to the ring and introduce herself face to face. Tiffy laughs, points to her watch and says Tiffy Time is OVER for tonight!!

  • Damien Priest defeated Pete Dunne in a hard hitting match with the South of Heaven chokeslam. A strong win for Priest who tells the camera and all of us that he will pick his spot carefully as Finn and JD celebrate alongside the big man.

  • The Street Profits cut a backstage promo, they have nothing but respect for The New Day and all they have accomplished, but they want next!

Quote

Logan Paul vs Rey Mysterio - QF Match in the No1 Contender Tournament

  • Logan shows throughout the match to be just as quick as Rey, whilst also being bigger and stronger. However, he has wrestled 11 matches, whilst Rey has been wrestling for 30 years! Everytime Logan gains control, Rey finds a way back into the match
  • One thing you cannot control though, no matter how long you have wrestled for, is what happens outside of the ring. One of Logan Paul's buddies throws a delicious bottle of Prime in the ring and distracts the ref. Its all Logan needs as he grabs the bottle and nails Rey in the temple, knocking Rey out cold. Proving he is an absolute weapon, rather than win the match here, Logan goes up top and needlessly hits the frog splash to pick up the win and advance to the next round.
  • As Logan celebrates we get a close up of the Prime bottle and see that there is no liquid inside, it is completely solid. Logan used a frozen bottle to smack Rey in the head.

  • Not quite done here though as Cody Rhodes invites Drew McIntyre to the ring. He knows Drew beat him last time but he also knows it wasn't 1 on 1. Not only will Backlash be purely 1v1 but Drew isnt facing Cody Rhodes, World Title challenger, he is facing Cody Rhodes, Universal WWE Champion!
  • Drew is supremely confident here though. He destroyed Cody's little buddy Seth and now Seth will never get another title shot, something which obviously gets under Cody's skin. At Backlash, Drew will defeat Cody again and prove once and for all that if you are an honest and humble man, just like Drew McIntyre, you can never go wrong.

End of show.

Quote

Current Backlash Card

  • Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre
  • Randy Orton vs LA Knight - US Title Match
  • Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross - Steel Cage Match

Thanks for reading, I appreciate it, any thoughts be them good, bad or indifferent are more than welcome!

WWE Monday Night Raw. April. Week 4

  • We open the show with "The Man" Becky Lynch marching to the ring. She wants her rematch, she doesn't care what sort of rematch it is. It doesn't take long for our World Champ Rhea Ripley to respond. If Becky wanted a rematch, all she had to do was ask. Mami accepts Becky's challenge, does Becky accept her challenge, to a submission match?? Becky smiles. Of course she accepts. A bold challenge from Rhea!

  • The Creed Brothers defeat Indus Sher to advance to the semi finals of the RAW Tag Team Title Tournament, Julius muscling up Sanga onto his shoulders, leaving Brutus with a huge target to find, and he did, with the Brutus Ball! They advance to face either Imperium or New Catch Republic.

  • Bobby Lashley is training in a purpose built cage, getting ready for his upcoming match with Karrion Kross. He tells Karrion he is at home inside the cage, but will Kross be? Lashley has AJ Styles in a big match next week, he tells Kross to be ready.

  • Bayley picks up a solid win over Chelsea Green.

  • Shinsuke Nakamura advances in the Number 1 contender tournament after defeating LA Knight. It wasnt without controversy though as Knight's rival AJ Styles made an impact, distracting his foe for long enough for Shinsuke to hit the Kinshasa and pick up the victory. Nakamura advances. And AJ Styles obviously doesnt think he has had enough here, he stalks LA Knight, ready to attack again when Randy Orton ran down, to return the favour and drives AJ from the ring. Orton offers LA Knight a hand, but Knight has no interest in being little bro'd by Randy Orton.

  • Solo Sikoa defeated Ashante the Adonis in a dominant performance with the Spike. Jimmy Uso, almost relegated to seconds duty here, grabs the mic. He tells all of us that the Bloodline are stronger than ever, despite what happened, and they are going to take over Monday Night Raw, just like they did Smackdown.

  • Time for a CM Punk promo. He knows its a chaotic situation at the moment, what with number one contender tournaments all over the shop! But never fear, CM Punk is here to provide that voice of clarity that we all need in these confusing times. He talks about both Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, promising to call the match right down the middle.

  • Imperium defeat New Catch Republic in a barnstormer to advance to face The Creed Brothers in the semi finals, Kaiser hitting a step up enziguiri on Pete Dunne to win the match. Kaiser isnt done though and grabs a microphone. Being part of Imperium with Gunther over the last 5 years was one of the most rewarding periods of his life and career. They studied Gunther up close and personal and will do Der Ring General proud.

Quote

Sami Zayn vs Dominik Mysterio - Raw No1 Contender Tournament Quarter Final

  • Dom cheats. A lot. But Sami is a different animal post Mania. Becky comes out during the match, to jaw jack with Rhea Ripley. Sami hits the exploder, a nod to Becky(?), followed by a Helluva kick, and then ANOTHER Helluva kick just for shits and giggles and Sami wins the match to advance!

  • A wound up Drew McIntyre, pissed at what he sees as CM Punk trying to overshadow his world title reign, marches down to the ring and attacks Sami Zayn! He barely makes it into the ring when Seth Rollins runs in for the fight! Seth and Drew brawl as Sami watches on, his face unreadable. He does ask for a mic though.

  • He thanks the fans for their support (obligatory) at this point and he thanks Seth for saving his ass but his message is directed at CM Punk. Sami is grateful for Punk being back and he calls him a trailblazer. Without Punk, guys like Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would never have gotten a chance in the WWE and for that he is eternally grateful. But he is asking Punk, Sami has a chance to do something real here. He has a chance to become the World Champion. He doesn't know if he can do it but he does know he will have the best chance possible if things settle down so he is telling CM Punk, he needs to back off.

We go off the air with Drew and Seth still brawling as Punk and Sami look at eachother.

End of show.

Updated RAW Number One Contender Tournament Brackets

  • AJ Styles vs Bobby Lashley
  • Sami Zayn
  • Randy Orton vs Karrion Kross
  • Shinsuke Nakamura

Quote

WWE Friday Night Smackdown. April. Week 4.

  • Our tag champs, A Town Down Under start the show, much to the chagrin of the fans in attendance, they insult the fans and stay to do some colour on the next match...

  • The New Day defeat Indus Sher in a hard fought match, a top rope elbow from Xavier onto Veer enough to pick up the victory, doing us all a favour and shutting ATDU up!

Our distinguished Gentleman, GM Nick Aldis comes to the ring. He has some clarification on the WWE Women's title situation. He announces that next week, in a triple threat match for the Number One Contender it will be Bianca Belair vs Naomi vs Jade Cargill! The winner will go on to face IYO Sky for the World Title at Night of Champions. The two losers (harsh Nick) from that match will go onto face The Kabuki Warriors at Backlash for the Womens Tag Titles!!

  • Speaking of the Kabuki Warriors, they defeat Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson to showcase their dominance as a team. The two NXT stars did themselves no harm though with a charismatic performance.

  • Alexa Bliss has no idea what Tiffany's problem is, but she will have no problem shutting her up!

  • Bron Breakker squashed Boa in about 14 seconds, we shift straight to Bronson Reed, as we look over his shoulder we see him looking over highlights of his defeat to Jey Uso last week. Bronson Reed does not take defeat lightly.

  • Santos Escobar defeated Dragon Lee after copious interference from Angel and Berto with Santos telling us that he will bring the entire weight of Legado Del Phantasma down onto Andrade. He calls Andrade "Poison" to Lucha Libre, and LDF will provide the antidote.

  • Kevin Owens is the next to advance in the Smackdown No1 contenders tournament after a hard fought victory over Ricochet, Ricochet having KO on the ropes for a lot of the match, crashing a huge knee to the side of KO's temple to stagger KO before he dragged a stunner out of nowhere to advance! Just.

  • Jey Uso and Logan Paul cut promos on their match next week. The first semi final match in the Smackdown No1 Contender Tournament. To Jey Uso, this is everything. The chance to prove he is "Main Event", the chance to prove he can succeed on his own at the highest level, that he isnt just a member of The Bloodline.
  • Logan is slightly different though. He doesn't care about the World Title. He cares about money. He cares about fame. He does have a question for our world champ though, "Hey Cody, you bringing your hot wife to the show tonight?"

  • Der Ring General Gunther demands someone step up and challenge him for the most prestigious title in all of WWE.

Quote

Finn Balor vs Andrade - QF Tournament Match

  • Priest accompanies his compadre Finn Balor to the ring and he is a constant threat. Andrade seems to have the upper hand at various points in the match, only for some well timed interventions from Damien Priest, to swing the momentum back in Finn's favour.
  • Finally, the ref has enough and sends Priest to the back, Priest accepts this pretty graciously....we see why when JD sneaks in the ring whilst the ref is distracted by Priest and hits the Devil Inside on Andrade. Finn hits the Cous de Grac and Finn Balor, with a huge Judgement Day assist, advances to the Semi Finals of the Tournament!

  • Speaking of the tournament, our world champ (sans wife) hits the ring to close out the show. Cody Rhodes puts over the match next week between Jey and Logan as as big of a match either man has had. He will absolutely be watching, right at the edge of his seat. He does have a retort for Logan Paul. He knows that Logan Paul wants nothing more than to use the Universal WWE Title as a stepping stone to more fame and more money but Cody truly believes Logan has natural skill and he should perhaps use that instead of resorting to shortcuts?
  • One more message, for Drew McIntyre. There is no doubt that Drew is a worthy champion. Worthy recognises Worthy. He wants each champion to push the other to drive the WWE forward. The only way to do that is the right way. Facing EVERY challenge. Cody will be on Raw with a very specific challenge for Drew McIntyre.

End of show.

WWE Monday Night Raw. May. Week 1.

  • AJ Styles starts the show with a victory over Bobby Lashley after a distraction from Scarlett, advancing to next round in the Number one contenders tournament. Styles is clearly pissed off as due to an injury suffered by Lashley, Styles is pulling double duty tonight!

  • Rhea and Dom are backstage, Dom telling Rhea that she shouldn't go out and wrestle tonight, she has an important match with Becky at Backlash and they need to keep their title. Rhea disagrees, she told Pearce she is going to wrestle tonight and she isn't going to let her fans down. Dom tells her she shouldn't give a shit about what the fans think, much to the chagrin of the....fans.

  • Rhea Ripley defeated Alba Fyre with the Riptide, but she did more damage to the arm whilst doing so. Becky Lynch comes out to congratulate her on being a workhorse champion. No one knows more than Becky what it means and what it takes to be a workhorse champ. Becky carried the RAW women's division on her shoulders for nearly 2 years. Her husband Seth Rollins was a workhorse world champion and he is still unable to return. Becky tells Rhea she needs to be careful the same doesn't happen to her...

  • DIY defeated AOP to qualify for the final of the RAW Tag Team Title tournament after Ciampa hit Akam with a superkick and a meet in the middle from both men gets the job done.

  • Jimmy Uso tells us Solo is the future of The Bloodline and Jimmy's ticket to the top, where he belongs.

  • Nia Jax squashed Tegan Nox, literally.

  • LA Knight has the chance to win singles Gold for the first time in the WWE. He tells Styles not to get involved, otherwise it may just be the last thing he ever does. Yeah!

  • The Creed Brothers defeat local talent. They will face Imperium next week in the semi finals and they say the key to victory is momentum. They set records in high school and college due to momentum. When they get going, nothing can stop them.

  • Scarlett tells us that Kross will end Randy Orton tonight and advance in the RAW No1 Contender Tournament, before Kross goes onto finally finish Bobby Lashley off in a Steel Cage at Backlash.

  • He didn't though, as Karrion Kross forgot the Golden Rule of Professional wrestling, never interfere in another wrestlers match if you have a match later on. Kross cost Lashley, now Lashley returns the favour, distracting Kross for long enough for Orton to hit the RKO! Randy Orton advances to the semi final of the RAW No1 Contender Tournament.
  • Randy Orton will go onto face Shinsuke Nakamura in the semi finals and Nakamura has a message for Orton. Quite simply, he is going to hunt, and kill, the Viper!

  • Cody Rhodes is here, as he promised, and as he promised he invites Drew McIntyre to the ring, and the world champ comes out. Cody tells Drew he has a challenge for him. He knows Drew McIntyre doesnt like Seth Rollins. Cody Rhodes didnt like Seth Rollins for a time. Drew disagrees but Cody tells him that in order for the champion to be the best champion, they need to beat the best challengers. If Cody Rhodes beats Drew McIntyre at Backlash, Seth Rollins gets a rematch for the world title!

Sami Zayn vs AJ Styles - RAW No1 Contender Tournament - Semi Final

  • These two put on a clinic, despite Styles already having fought tonight. AJ Styles starts out hot, hitting Sami with a low blow before controlling the opening portion of the match. Drew McIntyre comes to watch but is followed straight out by Cody Rhodes, making sure Drew doesnt interfere. Sami fights back, hits the Helluva kick and advances to the final!
  • Drew seethes but doesn't try to attack. His seethe gets worse when CM Punk's music hits and Punk makes his way to the ring. He makes a beeline for Sami Zayn, clearly having a retort for Sami after Sami told Punk to stay out of his business last week. Punk tells Sami he "was absolutely right". Punk tells Sami he will back off, there will be no interference from CM Punk. Punk tells Sami to go and beat that Scottish idiot and take the World Heavyweight Title!

End of show

WWE Friday Night Smackdown. May. Week 1

  • The go home show for Backlash on the Smackdown side starts with the triple threat number one contenders match for the WWE Women's Title and its Jade Cargill who defeats Bianca Belair and Naomi to go on to face IYO Sky. Damage Control made their presence known during the match by attacking Naomi, and then Jade before Bianca fought them off. Jade took advantage, hit Naomi with the Jaded and picked up her biggest win so far!
  • Post match, Bianca and Jade looked at each other, before Bianca offered her hand to Jade. Jade accepted and Bianca told her to go and beat IYO and win the title, Naomi and her will win the Tag Team Titles tomorrow night!

  • A hype vid plays for the impressive Bron Breakker.

  • Ricochet defeated Jinder Mahal with a 450 splash. Post match, Jinder tells Sanga and Veer that Ricochet is their new target.

  • Rey Mysterio and Andrade are in the back, with Rey heavily taped up due to a few different injuries. Rey tells Andrade the time is right, to take out Santos Escobar.

  • Bronson Reed squashed a local talent.

  • Tiffany Stratton tells Alexa to watch the next match closely, she might learn something. Did she? Who knows? Either way, Tiffany Stratton defeated Kayden Carter, not just with any move, but with the Twisted Bliss, hitting it perfectly! Alexa didn't look impressed as Tiffany strutted around the ring in celebration post match.

  • A Town Down Under and New Day are arguing backstage. New Day call them fluke champs, and paper champs who aren't even a tag team. They are 2 shitty singles wrestlers who got punched into a tag team by Kevin Owens! Waller responds by saying that Theory will defeat both Kofi and Xavier in singles matches before they put the New Day out to pasture at Night of Champions. Then we'll see who the fluke is!

  • Time for our 2 semi final matches now, bumper episode of Smackdown tonight!

Logan Paul vs Jey Uso - Semi Final in the Number 1 Contender Tournament

  • In a somewhat shocking turn of events, Logan Paul picks up the victory here. Bronson Reed, still pissed from losing to Jey, made an appearance as Paul kept the ref busy and hit a big Samoan Drop on Jey to the outside of the ring! Logan Paul went to get Jey and roll him back in, but thought better of it and instead stayed inside the ring, picking up the victory by count out!
  • After Logan leaves, Jey grabs the mic. He tells Reed he is coming for him and his story isnt over yet, he wants a match at Backlash! He wants....Gunther! Jey is determined to be a Champion in the WWE. Gunther doesn't waste any time in coming out. He accepts the challenge but tells Jey that everyone knows how worthless Jey is without the Bloodline.

Kevin Owens vs Finn Balor - Semi Final in the Number 1 Contender Tournament

  • Good match here, that both men nearly win on a number of occasions. Priest runs interference constantly until he and JD try 1 too many times and they get booted from ringside! This leaves it mano y mano and nature takes its course, KO hits the stunner and Kevin Owens advances.
  • Logan Paul tries to get the jump on KO! KO ducks and hits a stunner on Logan Paul to send him flying out of the ring! Who will be the next number one contender?

  • Drew McIntyre closes the show, he tells Cody that he accepts his challenge. Drew has always been better than Cody, he is rougher, tougher, stronger and better than Cody Rhodes. When they were a tag team in 2010, he carried Cody Rhodes, He was better then. He is better now. If Cody Rhodes beats Drew McIntyre, which he wont, then the broken down Seth Rollins gets a title rematch but it will be on Cody's head when Seth is sent into retirement. He also has a message for Judgement Day. If they try and interfere, he will end them all.

End of Show.
