moststay
About to do something controversial, but I'm gonna start up a second RTG save,I feel like I jumped up way too quick and my booking ability isn't good enough to get reliably high 70s yet. So gonna start over with a new character and put my first one on hold. Here is my second company Pro Wrestling Inspire. Initials PWI and before anyone asks I didn't notice the acronym until after I made the company, but I think its funny so I'm keeping it. lr10540
I don't think you could've done too much better with that TCW roster. You were certainly in for a rebuild for a couple months.
Bent
I'm about two and a half years into my attempt at the challenge, and my guy just had a 51rated match at my season finale show. This was my characters first 50+ rated match. On the Mystery box roll i rolled 51 which gives “Showcase of the Immortals” You raise your game for the biggest shows and matches of the year, add “Mr Finale” or “Big Match Specialist” to your attributes and add +10 to your consistency skill. So obviously i chose "Mr Finale".

Will come back to it after a few weeks because Mighty Mo is a beast and they have Aldous Blackfriar who in just 4 shows with him has proven to be the MVP right now. Quick questions - but did you do those pics? If so are they availble anywhere to use? If not where did you get them from? I love their vibe Honestly I dont think you can go wrong and it really depends on how YOU want to play the game. Each one offers a very different experience in how you book them. Machismo and Chica because I'm a sucker for wrestling that's older than me. Babe Lightyear made me chuckle when I saw it though.

Pick one to start, then change gimmicks every few years. That's what I did to get some extra feeling of progression in my game. Two years as wrestling referee Judgement Dragon, then three years as evil sheep Ovis Lividus. Now I've lightened up as more of a party animal... Need to come up with a name. And a new mask.
RobinS
I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not, but I think that achievements for working for a company of a X size should reward players with mystery boxes (like in TEW2020). Rolling a die to see which mystery box you get is one of my favorite things with these rules. Another idea, though I'm not sure how to implement it since the 54 choices are already good and fun, is related to what Dawn asked in the general questions thread. It made me think that having a mystery box that allows you to distribute something like 10 or 20 health points to workers across your roster could be cool. Of course, these are just suggestions. You're totally free to think they’re completely terrible ideas.
Self
Finished 2026 this morning. When I posted a couple of days ago, I was getting bored of my game. Doubly when VWA let me know they didn't consider me a suitable candidate for their open booking position. The idea of years upon years stuck in Wales didn't sound too appealing. However, things turned around. After spending much of the year trying to manage WrestleWorld GB production costs, money has begun to roll in. I've dropped the smallest of small towns from my regular schedule (300 premium tickets makes a profit, anything below that is a waste) and started streaming Cardiff/Swansea shows every two weeks. Made $12k profit in December. I brought in Tommy Cornell Jr, with the idea of beating him like a typical 19 year old rookie. However, he brought Rhys Pendragon with him on his first show, and then I noticed Tommy Cornell Classic was available. Retired. Unemployed after the death of 21CW. Only $900 per show, at a time when I have that kind of spare cash floating around. They've come in as a main event group. Rhys quickly took the Dragon King belt, while the Cornells are feuding with my avatar, who is on a booze-fuelled quest to defeat Jr. The angles far surpass anything I've had so far, while the matches are... Solid. Their hefty price tag comes from being popular in other places, not Wales, so they aren't doing anything $100 Rhys Vali can't do. But I haven't booked a Cornell since TEW2008. There's novelty to this. I also spent cash on plane tickets, flying some Unemployed Australian girls over to work with Blair Kerrigan. Like every wrestling woman in Europe, they're rusty, but it's freshening up the shows. I may be losing some Welsh identity. Dragon FLIGHT has already stopped being a high flying promotion, with bog standard UK Technicians beating them in ratings. Neville Jones is annoyed at slipping down the card and happy to let me know it. Rhys Vali is kind of a menace backstage. Bat Cooper got fired for showing up drunk for his only main event all year. I get into frequent fights with Aurelian Bradley in booking meetings. Now I'm starting 2027, and I have to somehow hit Medium by December. I'm not even sure it's possible, given limits on monthly pop growth. I think I'm on 46 pop now, and need to be 59. This could be my last year in Dragon FLIGHT whether I want it or not. Running weekly might be the play to try to get my booking reputation up, although I don't know whether quantity, quality, or size are the most rewarded. I'm only on 19 reputation so far.

Hopefully he stays with you longer than the six months he stuck around with me. I am in June 2026 and making 10k a month with two shows a month on WrestleWorld. Growth is pretty nice, I might hit Medium by mid to late 2027. If I carry on growing at this rate I will reach 59 in South UK in March 2027 and 35 in the midlands by Nov 2027. Not terrible ideas but we need to be careful of the balance of the challenge, once we get a few people at the endgame we can reassess.
Goliathus
I am slow in progress and just finished my second year. Some tidbits: I said I plan to cut Fuyuko Higa if she continues to be a pest this year. I am not sure if 5SSW gave her an Attitude Adjustment or what, but she has been pleasant to work with this year. She gives 80 in-ring performance on occasion. She did ask for a pay raise from $50 (which is why I hired her at the beginning) to $110 and I just said yes as I am confident I should be able to pay back the debts. She's also woman trainer of my fed now. I was planning to stop my merch upgrade at 97.5% of level 3 so I can hit level 4 at any week when I think I am ready for it. I somehow forget about that as I click through the days so I hit level 4 early. The running cost and my merch sales are about equal. If I keep it at level 3, it would be a small positive, but no big deal. My fed is still down 10K at the end of year 2 but I am extremely confident in my chance to get into positive by end of year. I plan to run a special event every 3 months as like a seasonal special show and they will have normal ticket price. The regular shows I plan to keep it as free until I hit 17 popularity. Then I would consider normal or very cheap to see which one gives me the best chance to get me off the debt by year's end while still keeping a solid pop gain per month. Rolled 42 for the end-of-year roll so now my worker can work both dominant (previous year's roll) and comedy super well. Such versatility! Bad Collin
Wow VWA, tell me how you really feel 😭 I have 17 booking rep, so pretty low I guess. Somehow 21CW still live. They have been in debt for years and are $11m in the red right now but I haven't seen a warning about their finances.

I think unless the Isles gets lucky economy and wrestling business rolls then their contracts drag them down. Problem with the Isles too is when it starts the free agent pool isn't exactly full of no miss talents so they struggle to refresh that roster as well. The shows 21CW put on are great and they are still Big but they keep running ppvs in smaller arenas and in areas that they don't have much pop.

Bent
I'm around the same Pop as you guys (47 in my home area) and i did some testing with ticket prices. With Very Cheap i get roughly 1000 more in attendance vs Normal prices, 1885 on Very Cheap vs 2912 on Normal. This means that the decrease in ticket price is covered by the increase in attendance and i pretty much make the same from ticket sales either way. But i also make around 5k more in merchandise sale (merch at lvl 6, so $5 per fan in attendance). So Very Cheap seems to be better both for Pop growth and income. It is strange that there is no trade off here. You would think that normal ticket prices should be the best in most circumstances and very cheap gives you more growth but less overall income. If very cheap is the best price for income then that price should be normal.

When you are larger then does very cheap still have the same effect or is it a case where you are just throwing money away? I get the sense that when you are running small venues very cheap attracts a lot of bodies and those bodies do spend the money elsewhere but at a larger size does that have the same effect or is it just that you are filling an arena either way and getting less for it?
