bplotkin
There are a few wrestlers in the game that are obvious analogues of real-world wrestlers--i.e. Sam Strong=Hulk Hogan, Bruce The Giant=Andre The Giant... I was wondering if there's an Stone Cold analogue in there--if it is I haven't come across him yet. Anyone?
takertitan
i am sure some people on the game have some real world counter part of some kind. might not be an exact copy, but prob. close.
Liamo
I always thought that Cornell was meant to be a bit like Austin, Jack Bruce like Jericho, Runaway Train like HHH. That's just me tho
Johnny_McSluggz
Andre the Giant never had a chokeslam, much less a chokeslam over the top.
Adam Ryland
Bruce wasn't based on Andre. They just have the same surname, "The Giant" :p Very few people in the game are based on a single real person BTW. There's a few who are made up of parts of two or three real people blended into one, but most of them are genuinely just made up.

Guest Weden
I think people are going by moves.
No, I meant general situation, personality etc. Awesome is hardly the most popular over here, but in Japan he's over under the name of "Gladiator" or something along those lines... Adam Ryland
Everest is a 348lb slug with no speed or technique - he's definitely not based on the plancha-diving frog-splashing Mike Awesome! In real-world terms, Everest is more like A-Train. He wasn't based on anyone anyway, I just wanted another super heavyweight for BHOTWG and liked the name :p

Johnny_McSluggz
Awesome goes by Gladiator, yes. But he's not very over. He's just a no-selling death match worker. Scott Norton is more over.
Guest Weden
But Norton is very over. Top foreigner in NJPW history in 2002!

Johnny_McSluggz
I point to NJPW. Think of how over the AJPW gaijins were. Hansen, Funks, Brody, Williams, Albright, Gordy, I could go on. The Lariat is the best gaijin of all time by far.
