GWF: Breakthrough, What is Charlie Haas's Answer?, 05/19/07 GWF: BREAKTHROUGH 05/19/07 Tennessee Fairgrounds, Nashville Tennessee We’re now out of Utah, and into the former home of TNA. 1,000 people have sold out the Tennessee Fairgrounds here tonight. After the pryos go oof we go to the announcers table. Joey Styles: “Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to GWF: Breakthrough. My name is Joey Styles and this is my broadcast partner Don Callis.” Don Callis: “Tell me Joey, how come it’s always you that speaks first huh?” Joey Styles: “Why are you jealous Don? I’ll tell you what next week you can be the first one to speak ok?” Don Callis: “I’ll hold you to that you know. Anyway tonight in the main event is the next match in the GWF World Championship Tournament when Chris Jericho will go one on one with Perry Saturn!” Joey Styles: “And that’s not all, last week we saw Mark Jindrak help Sean O’Haire to cheat his way to victory…” Don Callis: “Cheat? What is it with you Joey? Last week you accuse Chris Kanyon of cheating and now you’re saying Sean O’Haire is one too.” Joey Styles: “That’s because it’s the truth Don, Mark Jindrak smashed a steel chair over Jeff Hardy’s head…” Don Callis: “You call that cheating? That’s more like a helping hand…” Joey Styles: “A helping hand, what are you on about? Anyway Mark Jindrak gave a ‘helping hand’ to Sean O’Haire by smashing a steel chair over the head of Jeff Hardy giving Sean O’Haire the easy victory. After the match O’Haire gave Charlie Haas a choice, either he doesn’t turn up at No Remorse, or he will face the same fate as Jeff Hardy. Tonight we will find out in Charlie Haas will fight or if he will run away…” Don Callis: “If he’s smart he will run away, but now lets go to our fist match.” Rating: C –vs- Peter Gruner –vs- Jimmy Yang Ref: Brian Hebner This was a match that was set up to do one thing, to warm the crowd up, and boy did these two deliver. These two put on a great match that was sadly cut short. Peter Gruner looked to have the match won when he had connected with the shooting star press when Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak came running down to the ring. They got in the ring and started to attack Peter Gruner and Jimmy Yang, and then they threw them over the top rope, forcing Brian Hebner to end the match. Match ended at 13.15 due to outside interference. Rating: B- Sean O’Haire then grabbed the mic. Sean O’Haire: “Now I’m a patient man, but my patience is wearing out. Last week I gave Charlie Haas a choice, his career or his life, and now I want my answer. I think I’ve waited long enough don’t you Mark?” Mark Jindrak just nods his head, but doesn’t say anything. Sean O’Haire: “So Charlie Haas I’m asking, no I’m demanding that you come out here and tell me your decision.” He didn’t have to wait long as Charlie Haas comes out and stands at the top of the ramp way. Charlie Haas: “You want to know my answer Sean? You want to know if I’ll turn up at No Remorse or run away like a dog with it’s tail between it’s legs? My answer is this Sean, there’s no damn way you can stop me from turning up at No Remorse. I’m turning up, and when I do I’m going to beat you’re a*s. It’s my dream Sean O’Haire to be world champion, and I’m not going to give up on my dream just because I’ve run into a problem.” Sean O’Haire: “You’ve just made the stupidest decision in your life son. I give you a way out, I give you a chance to walk away, but you choose to do thing the hard way? You have chosen the path of pain, but I planned for this because I knew you wouldn’t make the right decision so tonight you’re going to get a little preview at what’s going to happen at No Remorse. Mark go get him…” Charlie Haas: “Mark wait there, I’ll come to you. You’re right tonight there is going to be a preview of No Remorse, because I’m not going to wait for No Remorse, I’m going to beat you’re a*s now!” Charlie Haas starts to make his way down the ramp, and goes to get in the ring, but Eric Bischoff comes running down to the ring. Eric Bischoff: “Wait right there! I don’t know who you guys think you are, but if anyone is making matches it’s me not you. Charlie Haas and Sean O’Haire you’re going to have to wait till No Remorse to get you’re hands on each other, but Charlie I can see you’re itching for a fight. So tonight Charlie your going to face Mark Jindrak in a match. Oh and that match is right now!” Rating: B- –vs- W/ Charlie Haas –vs- Mark Jindrak Ref: Charles Robinson With Sean O’Haire in Mark Jindrak’s corner this match was only ever going to have one outcome. At any point in the match when Charlie Haas began to have an advantage Sean O’Haire would jump up on the apron, forcing Charles Robinson to deal with him and get him from the apron. As this was going on Mark Jindrak would poke Charlie Haas is the eye, or even at one point Mark Jindrak nailed a low blow on Charlie Haas. At one point in the match though Charlie Haas looked to have to match won, he had whipped Mark Jindrak to the ropes, just as Sean O’Haire had jumped up on the apron. Mark Jindrak collided with Sean O’Haire and sent him flying. Charlie Haas then nailed Mark Jindrak with the exploder suplex and went for the pin, but when Charles Robinson’s hand came down to count the three he was pulled out of the ring by Sean O’Haire, causing Charles Robinson to disqualify Mark Jindrak. Winner by DQ at 15.43 – Charlie Haas Rating: B- Both Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak start to attack Charlie Haas, putting him down to the mat and keeping him there by laying into him with boots, but their attack was stopped when Peter Gruner returned from the back. He was obviously angry about the unprovoked attack that Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak delivered to him before. This allowed Charlie Haas to get back to his feet and join Peter Gruner in fighting off Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak. They sent Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak to the outside, where they started to regroup and grabbed two steel chairs. They were just about to re-enter the ring when Eric Bischoff came back out on the ramp. Eric Bischoff: “That’s enough. You four want to fight each other fine! Next week, on GWF: Breatkthrough, in that very ring it’s going to be Charlie Haas and Peter Gruner teaming up to takes on Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak.” Rating: C- After that announcement we cut backstage where Josh Matthews is standing by with Paul London and Spanky. Josh Matthews: “I’m standing by with Paul London & Spanky, now you two are going to be part of the four team warfare match at No Remorse, and I’ve got to say you’re going in there as favorites. You’ve faced two of the three other teams in there and already beat them, that’s got to give you some confidence.” Spanky: “Sure it has given us a ton of confidence Josh, but the point is anything can happen.” Paul London: “Just because we’ve beaten The Backseat Men and The Heart Breakers doesn’t mean we’re going to win at No Remorse.” Josh Matthews: “Yeah sure, but come on you’ve already beaten them, you’re going to walk it.” Spanky: “Thanks for the vote of confidence Josh, but really we’re not going to say we’re going to win it with ease, but we’ve got to go, my match is up next!” Spanky and Paul London leave, leaving Josh Matthews all alone. Josh Matthews: “Well I guess it’s back to you at ringside.” Rating: B We go back to Joey Styles and Don Callis at ringside. Joey Styles: “Well that was a very subdued Paul London and Spanky…” Don Callis: “Chicken more like it.” Joey Styles: “Just because they didn’t say they were going to win at No Remorse means that they’re chicken?” Don Callis: “Yeah it does, its in their eyes Joey, they’re scared of the competition at No Remorse.” Joey Styles: “I give up, but talking about No Remorse it’s going down in two weeks and it’s only available on PPV. And it’s going to be huge.” Graphics then show on the big screen to show the matches that will happen at No Remorse. The announcers briefly talk about each one. It also includes a newly added match. GWF No Remorse Preview Perry Saturn or Chris Jericho –vs- Ken Shamrock or Marcus Bagwell – GWF World Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match Charlie Haas –vs- Sean O’Haire – GWF World Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match Juventud Guerrera –vs- James Gibson –vs- ??? – GWF Cruiserweight Championship London & Spanky –vs- Natural Selection –vs- The Backseat Men –vs- The Heart Breakers – GWF Tag Team Championships Peter Gruner –vs- Mark Jindrak Rating: C- -vs- Spanky –vs- Trent Acid Ref: Charles Robinson It is quite obvious that Trent Acid is in the dog house by just looking at this match. Spanky completely dominated most of this match, and Trent Acid never really stood a chance. Spanky won this match by hitting the sliced bread #2 for the three count. Winner at 14.23 – Spanky Rating: B- We go backstage to where Ken Shamrock is getting a cup of coffee, but is interrupted when Marcus Bagwell strikes. He blindsides Ken Shamrock from behind and smashes a steel chair over Ken Shamrock’s head. Marcus Bagwell then throws Ken Shamrock into the load of steel poles, that seem to be in every arena around the country. Marcus Bagwell then just walked away laughing his head off. Marcus Bagwell: “ See you next week old man.” Rating: C We’re now in Eric Bischoff’s office when Frankie Kazarian burst into the office. Frankie Kazarian: “OK, Eric things are getting ridiculous, first off you tell me I’m not in the main event of the first GWF: Breakthrough, then last week you tell me I’m not the third man in the GWF Cruiserweight Championship match at No Remorse. These things I can perhaps come to terms with, but I turn up here tonight, and yet again I don’t have a match. What sort of place is this I’m the…” Eric Bischoff: “The future, yeah I know. Listen Frankie, I’m sorry, I really am, but I’ve got to go.” Eric Bischoff leaves and leaves Frankie Kazarian left in the office alone. Frankie Kazarian then grabs a glass off of the table and throws it across the room, smashing it to pieces. Rating: C Back with Josh Matthews, who’s now with Chris Jericho. Josh Matthews: “Tonight Chris Jericho, you’re facing Perry Saturn in the main event in the next match in the GWF World Championship Tournament. Two weeks ago you made Perry Saturn tap out, are you hoping to do the same tonight?” Chris Jericho: “Hoping Josh, no I’m not hoping I know I’m going to make Perry Saturn tap out here tonight. Hell you saw what I did to him last week Josh, you saw it first hand. You saw how quick he went down after I barely touched him with a steel chair…” Josh Matthews: “You smashed a steel chair over his head don’t you?” Chris Jericho: “Barely and smashed mean the same thing now don’t they Josh? But that’s beside the point because tonight the living legend, the never to be duplicated or repeated, the king of the world Chris Jericho will take his first step on the road to reach his destiny. To become the first ever GWF World Champion. Tonight I’m going to beat that peon Perry Saturn in that ring by making him tap out to the walls of Jericho like the little b***h that he is. Tonight Perry Saturn will receive a fatal dose of vitamin C, and that is the truth according to your future GWF World Champion Chris Jericho! ” Rating: B+ We now go to a pre-taped segment with Chris Kanyon, who’s still in the high school gym. With him are George Pearson and Scott Taylor; another man also joins them. Chris Kanyon: “Hello my adoring public, last week I got an unprecedented amount of fan mail about how well I did in my match last week. However I felt that there was something missing last week, but I think I’ve put my finger on what the problem is. You see I’m Chris Kanyon, and I’m the best in this business today, so therefore beating two people is nothing to brag about. So this week I’m joined by George and Steve again, but their now joined by my third biggest fan, and his name is Phillip Stallard. However something different is going to happen this week, because even three people aren’t enough to beat me, and to give George, Steve and Phillip a sporting chance, I’m going to beat them with one hand behind my back. So ref, could you please tie my hand behind my back for me.” The ref obliges and ties Chris Kanyon’s right hand behind his back. The ref then lets George, Steve and Phillip make sure that the hand is tied securely. Chris Kanyon: “Ok, now I’m going to take it easy on you so there’s no need to worry. Ref if you would be so kind to ring the bell.” The ref rings the bell, but George, Phillip and Steve don’t know what to do and just stand there. George is the first one to make a move, but when he does the ref sprays a fire extinguisher into the faces of George, Steve and Phillip who go down to the mat clutching their eyes screaming that they have been blinded. Chris Kanyon then kicks Phillip Stallard over, and makes a cover the ref makes the three count giving Chris Kanyon a ‘victory.’ Last week’s celebration ceremony was nothing compared to tonight’s as balloons and confetti reigned down over Chris Kanyon as he jumped up and down. Chris Kanyon: “You see folks, you doubted that I could do it, but I did. I beat three people with a hand tied behind my back. That’s enough for me this week kids, but remember ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?” Rating: F We cut back to ringside, and more specifically to Joey Styles and Don Callis. Don Callis: “Genius, absolute genius. That match just beat three people Joey, three people with his hand tied behind his back. It just doesn’t get any better than that does it? Oh that’s right you think he cheated last week don’t you?” Joey Styles: “He cheated tonight as well Don! Anyway lets not get into that again because it’s now time for our main event. Perry Saturn –vs- Chris Jericho in the next match in the GWF World Championship Tournament…” Don Callis: “News flash, Chris Jericho’s going to win.” Joey Styles: “You don’t know that…” Don Callis: “Perry Saturn has already tapped out to the walls of Jericho, tonight he’ll do it again. It’s academic, even you have to admit it…” Joey Styles: “But…” Don Callis: “Shh, the match is starting.” Rating: C –vs- Perry Saturn –vs- Chris Jericho GWF World Championship Tournament Round 1 Match Perry Saturn came down to the ring first, selling the injury from the attack on the last show by wearing a bandage on his head, there were a couple of cheers from the crowd, but not many. Chris Jericho, on the other hand, received a lot of heel heat, as well as some cheering from parts of the crowd. Anyway, the start of the match saw Chris Jericho go to lock in the walls of Jericho from the get go, but Perry Saturn managed to power out of the move. However at every opportunity Chris Jericho went to lock in the move, but in every instance he was blocked by Perry Saturn. However persistence paid off for Chris Jericho, he had just hit the lionsault on Perry Saturn but instead of going for the pin locked in the walls of Jericho on Perry Saturn. There was nowhere he could go as he was in the middle of the ring. Every time he did get close to the ropes Chris Jericho would drag him back to the middle. Perry Saturn had no choice; he tapped out to Chris Jericho. This means that Chris Jericho advances to the next round, facing either Ken Shamrock or Marcus Bagwell at No Remorse. Winner at 16.54 – Chris Jericho Rating: B+ GWF: Breakthrough fades to black with Chris Jericho celebrating his win.

Wrestling Wire 05/26 This week’s edition is a very TNA laden update. --------------------------------- TNA IMPACT CANCELED!! Yes that’s right the news broke earlier this week that TNA Impact has in fact been cancelled. It had been threatened for a awhile, and even tough Spike TV gave TNA three months to turn their product around, they decided to dump the show now. This has come as a major shock to TNA management, and it is not sure what the future of the show will be. It may go back to be an internet exclusive show, or they may drop it all together. This leaves TNA with only one TV show, and that’s not on national TV exposure. It is too early to see just how big of an impact the loss of Impact will have on the promotion, only time will tell. --------------------------------- TNA AND GWF COME TO AN AGREEMENT!! Both TNA and GWF have come to an agreement earlier this week. It is widely known that TNA has downright refused to allow any of their talent roster to appear on any GWF shows, and now GWF have done exactly the same to TNA. TNA had approached a number of wrestlers on the GWF roster, most notably Chris Jericho, Charlie Haas and Sean O’Haire, but GWF has not allowed them to appear on their programming and it now seems that GWF are playing TNA at their own game. TNA management was obviously frustrated at being blocked in this point, but news has just reached us that the GWF presidents Eric Bischoff and Matt Prince have had a meeting with TNA management Dixie Carter and Jeff Jarrett to address the situation. The two promotions has reached a compromise, in a non-aggression pact that will make sure that the promotions will not come to blows. Many were actually surprised at this agreement, expecting the two companys to have a working agreement with each other, but it just seems that there is too much bad feelings between the two promotions. --------------------------------- KIP JAMES AND MIKE TENAY BACKSTAGE TROUBLE There is a saying that is never rains but it pours, and for TNA it looks to be true. It’s not enough that they have lost their major TV outlet, and with the dealings with GWF, it’s now emerged that two key players in TNA have had a major disagreement backstage and at one point all most came to blows. Kip James and Mike Tenay have had a falling out over some comments that Mike Tenay said on the last edition of Impact. During the James Gang v America’s Most Wanted Mike Tenay made a joke about how a couple of weeks ago Kip James turned up to one of their events drunk. The comment was made to address the fact that the crowd were making motions to Kip James that he was an alcoholic. Sources say that when Kip James saw the footage, and heard the comments made by Mike Tenay, he went ballistic and had to be dragged away from Mike Tenay because the confrontation looked to be getting violent. It’s not known what sort of punishment will be dished out to either man, but it is something that TNA didn’t need this week. --------------------------------- YET ANOTHER BAD WEEK FOR WWE RAW In our one, and only, WWE related news this week is again bad news. Last week saw WWE set a new record for the lowest ever attendance for WWE Raw, and many thought that it would never be seen again, but it has. Yet again a measly 300 people turned up to see WWE Raw in British Columbia. Once again this was attributed to bad weather, but actually this has been one of the best springs in recent memory for the region. Will next week be just as bad for the promotion? --------------------------------- RATINGS FROM THIS WEEK! Here are the numbers for this TV, and internet, shows. For the last time also the ratings from TNA Impact on Spike TV. WWE RAW Final Rating: B Attendance: 300 Viewers: 1,556,692 TNA Impact Final Rating: B Attendance: 7,120 Viewers: 320,974 TNA Xplosion Final Rating: B- Attendance: 7,120 Viewers: 379,812 GWF: Breakthrough Final Rating: B Attendance: 1,000 Downloads: 314,953 So the final TNA Impact is now in the books, but with Xplosion getting more viewers the show might be their new A show. Also GWF seemed to have bounced back from their little dip from last week, rising to their most downloads ever for the show, but it has only just be three. Many feel that with the way the promotion is handling itself, it won’t be long until they manage to secure a TV deal. --------------------------------- GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW 05/26/07 Here’s the updated GWF: Breakthrough preview for tonight.
GWF: Breakthrough Preview 05/26/07 THE FIRST ROUND ENDS The last spot in the next round of the GWF World Championship Tournament will be decided tonight, when Ken Shamrock will face Marcus Bagwell in the main event. Two weeks ago Ken Shamrock threw a cup of coffee into Marcus Bagwell’s face, and last week Marcus Bagwell got a level of revenge when he brutally attacked Ken Shamrock backstage. When these two face each other in the ring tonight, there is going to be no stopping them, both men have shown just what this match means to them, but just who wants it more? Last week Charlie Haas refused to bow down to Sean O’Haire’s demands and has vowed to turn up at No Remorse tomorrow, Sean O’Haire was not pleased at this and ordered Mark Jindrak to destroy Charlie Haas, but when Eric Bischoff came out and ordered the two to face each other in a match Sean O’Haire got involved as well. Peter Gruner, who Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak had attacked, came down to make the save Eric Bischoff made another match. That match goes down tonight when Charlie Haas and Peter Gruner team up to take on Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak in tag team action. Also tonight, it’ll be a fatal four-way match between Spanky, Trent Acid, Andy Douglas and Antonio Thomas go at it. All four of these men will have their tag team partners with them in their corners. With all of these men scheduled to meet tomorrow night at No Remorse for the GWF Tag Team Championships, whoever gets the win here tonight will go into No Remorse with confidence. Confirmed Matches Ken Shamrock –vs- Marcus Bagwell - GWF World Championship Tournament First Round Match Charlie Haas & Peter Gruner –vs- Sean O’Haire & Mark Jindrak Spanky –vs- Trent Acid –vs- Andy Douglas –vs- Antonio Thomas Bryan Danielson –vs- CM Punk GWF: Breakthrough is only available to download from GWF.com so book your seat by the computer and make sure you don’t miss it. Make the preview sections font bigger. Its hard to read. Other than that good show and I really like how you flesh out the backstorys of what is happening to other comapnys. Did WWE Raw actually draw only 300 fans?! Thats insane!
Sorry about the font, I’ll use another one from now on so hopefully that will help. I can’t believe that WWE Raw only pulled in a 300 hundred attendance as well, for two straight weeks as well. Thanks for the feedback brother, appreciated as always:D .

You said last week that I could introduce the show, and now you butt in straight away, you just couldn’t help yourself could you buddy.” Joey Styles: “You weren’t saying anything…” Don Callis: “You didn’t give me a chance, but enough about how Joey Styles and his inability to stick to what he said. My name is Don Callis and tonight we have a huge main event of Ken Shamrock –vs- Marcus Bagwell. This is the last match in the first round of the GWF World Championship Tournament, and the winner of this match will go onto No Remorse tomorrow to face Chris Jericho.” Joey Styles: “Also…” Don Callis: “I’m not finished, also tonight Charlie Haas and Peter Gruner will team up tonight to face Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak in a tag team match here tonight. Now Joey is there anything you’d like to say before we get started?” Joey Styles: “Yes…” Don Callis: “You’re too late, you talked too much already because our first match is starting.” Rating: C –vs- –vs- -vs- Spanky –vs- Andy Douglas –vs- Trent Acid –vs- Antonio Thomas Ref: Brian Hebner To kick off the in-ring action here tonight these four met in a fatal four-way match. Each one of these men will face each other in that tag team warfare match at No Remorse for the GWF Tag Team Championships. Each man was accompanied to the ring by his respective tag team partners. From the very start of this match Brian Hebner lost control, with all eight men fighting it out. It was total and utter chaos, but the ref did notice a cover being made, Brian Hebner didn’t know who was the legal man, and it looked like he didn’t really care. He counted the three and Spanky pinned Antonio Thomas for the three count, and some major momentum heading into tomorrow night’s match. Winner at 11.48 - Spanky Rating: C+ We go backstage to where Josh Matthews is standing by with Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak. Josh Matthews: “Tomorrow night you face Charlie Haas in the next round of the GWF World Championship Tournament, but tonight you’ll face him in a tag team match…” Sean O’Haire: “Is this going anywhere Josh, or are you going to tell me everything that I already know. You don’t need to remind me that tomorrow I face Charlie Haas in the semi-finals of the GWF World Championship Tournament, I’ve been thinking of nothing else for the last two weeks. I’ve examined every possible outcome to this match, and I’ve got the plan ready. There was always going to be one outcome…” Josh Matthews: “And what outcome is that?” Sean O’Haire: “My victory. Tonight I face Charlie Haas in tag team match, and the way I see it is that tonight it is anything goes. Tonight Charlie Haas will be destroyed so that at No Remorse I don’t even have to break a sweat when I beat him. I’ve planned it all, every aspect of my plan has been carefully planned out, and my plan will end with Charlie Haas’s demise, and me advancing to the finals of the GWF World Championship Tournament! Come on Mark, we’ve got work to do.” Rating: C In another part of the backstage area Juventud Guerrera is walking down the corridor when James Gibson runs out of nowhere and blindsides him. Gibson throws Juventud Guerrera into the wall, which leaves Juventud Guerrera in a heap on the floor. James Gibson then leaves the scene, looking very pleased with himself. Rating: C –vs- Bryan Danielson –vs- CM Punk Ref: Charles Robinson This was the shortest match of the night, and was also Bryan Danielson’s debut match with GWF. The match was a very back and forth affair, but Bryan Danielson scored an upset victory when he rolled up CM Punk to get a surprise three count. After the match CM Punk was not happy with his loss, and beat down Bryan Danielson in the ring. Winner at 10.14 - Bryan Danielson Rating: C We cut to a pre-taped segment, with Chris Kanyon back in the same grotty old high school gym. Chris Kanyon: “You people never cease to amaze me, I mean last week I received the most amount of fan mail I have ever received in my life. It really warms my heart to know that all you Chris Kanyon fans out there have taken time out of your busy schedule to write to your favourite wrestler. So because of this I have decided to award you, my most loyal fans, to another record breaking and awe inspiring match by me. Last week I defeated three people, yes three people at the same time, with one hand behind my back. This week, I’m going to do the impossible, I’m going to beat four people, four of my biggest fans, with my hand tied behind my back. But folks, it’s not over because I’ll also be blindfolded. Yet again my biggest fan George Pearson is here, along with my second biggest fan Scott Taylor, they’re with my third biggest fan Phillip Stallard and this dear fans is my fourth biggest fan Kyle Walker. Now ref if you could tie my hand behind my back and blindfold me.” The ref complies and ties Chris Kanyon’s right hand behind his back, and then blindfolds him. Chris Kanyon: “Now don’t worry fellas, I’ll take it easy on you. Ring the bell.” A bell rings from somewhere, and this ‘match’ is on. George, Scott and Taylor quickly get out of the ring before they get beaten again and as Kyle looks at them, wondering what’s going on but as he turns around the ref smashes a steel chair over the head of Kyle Walker. With Kyle now on the mat and George, Scott and Phillip nowhere to be seen the ref guides Chris Kanyon over to the lifeless body of Kyle Walker. Chris Kanyon quickly makes the cover and the ref counts the three, and Chris Kanyon’s celebration ceremony begins. Along with balloons and confetti falling from the ceiling, there are fireworks going off behind him. As Chris Kanyon falls to his knees as starts to cry the ref is jumping up and down in celebration too. Chris Kanyon: “I told you I could do it, I told you I could beat them. Four men, I beat four men, with my hand tied behind my back and while I was blindfolded. This is the best day of my life. That’s all we’ve got time for tonight though folks, but I’m going to be back very soon because I’m going to be on PPV this Sunday, at No Remorse when I turn up in GWF. So remember kids ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’” However before we come back to the arena Chris Kanyon is attacked from behind when George, Scott and Phillip come back in the ring and attack Chris Kanyon and the ref. The video cuts out to static so we don’t really get to see much of this attack. Rating: E Back in the arena we’re in Eric Bishcoff’s office, where he is talking to someone off of the camera. Eric Bischoff: “Ok fine, you want a rematch you’ve got one. Tomorrow night at No Remorse it’ll be you against Bryan Danielson, are you happy now?” The camera turns around to find CM Punk, still looking angry at his loss earlier tonight. CM Punk: “Ecstatic.” Rating: D We join Joey Styles and Don Callis back at the announcer’s table. Don Callis: “Wow, No Remorse just got even better. Now my favorite wrestler Chris Kanyon has said that he’ll turn up but now we get a rematch from that great match here earlier tonight when CM Punk will take on Bryan Danielson. No Remorse is cetainatly shaping up to be a huge event, and it’s going to happen tomorrow night.” Graphics then appear on the screen showing the announced matches that will happen and the announcers, well Don Callis, briefly talks about each one. GWF No Remorse Preview Perry Saturn or Chris Jericho –vs- Ken Shamrock or Marcus Bagwell – GWF World Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match Charlie Haas –vs- Sean O’Haire – GWF World Championship Tournament Semi-Final Match Juventud Guerrera –vs- James Gibson –vs- ??? – GWF Cruiserweight Championship London & Spanky –vs- Natural Selection –vs- The Backseat Men –vs- The Heart Breakers – GWF Tag Team Championships Peter Gruner –vs- Mark Jindrak Bryan Danielson –vs- CM Punk Don Callis: “It’s going to be massive, Joey, got anything to add?” Joey Styles: “Yes…” Don Callis: “Do you ever shut up? This match was just as chaotic as the match last week. With all four men laying into each other, but Sean O’Haire were able to take the advantage in this match. After Charlie Haas was indisposed on the outside, by being thrown into the steel steps repeatedly by Mark Jindrak as Sean O’Haire managed to keep Charles Robinson’s attention on him in the ring. With Charlie Haas down, both Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak decimated Peter Gruner inside the ring. Wearing him down for No Remorse tomorrow night. The end mercifully came when Mark Jindrak nailed the mark of excellence on Peter Gruner for the three count. Winner at 11.23 - Sean O’Haire & Mark Jindrak Rating: C+ Backstage we join Josh Matthews, who is standing outside CM Punk’s locker room. Josh Matthews: “Now I’m going to try and get an interview with CM Punk on why he asked for a rematch with Bryan Danielson.” Josh Matthews knocks on CM Punk’s door, after a while CM Punk opens the door but when he sees Josh Matthews standing there he just shoves him down to the ground and slams the door shut. Josh Matthews: “Well…um…I guess…er…that he didn’t want to be interviewed…er…yeah.” Rating: C+ We’re now back with Eric Bischoff in his office when Frankie Kazarian barges in. Frankie Kazarian: “No Eric, I don’t want to hear whatever you’ve got to say. You told me when I signed my contract that GWF is the future of wrestling. That’s the major reason I signed Eric, because if GWF is the future and I’m the future Frankie Kazarian, we should go well together. But what have I done so far in GWF. I’ve been insulted by some sorry a*s interviewer who was fired from up north, I’ve been blanked for you, and now yet again I’ve not got a match here tonight. Time and time again I’ve been humiliated in this place. GWF, the future, if this place really was the future I would have been in the GWF World Championship Tournament. If this place that you said it was, I would have been put in the triple threat match for the GWF Cruiserweight Championship…” Eric Bischoff: “How long is it going to be until your head completely disappears up your own a*s?” Frankie Kazaraian: “This is exactly what I’m talking about Eric, I’m the future Frankie Kazarian…” Eric Bischoff: “And that is exactly what I’m talking about. You’re the future huh? Well why don’t you prove it? If you’re half as good as you make out to be then you’ll go far, but there a hundred other people that would love to be in your position right now. So stop b******g and leave me alone.” Rating: C+ Back at ringside we join Joey Styles and Don Callis. Don Callis: “Now don’t get me wrong I love Eric Bischoff but sometimes I’ve got to question some of his decisions. This Frankie Kazarian is the future of this business and look how he’s being treated here…why are you laughing Joey, find something funny?” Joey Styles: “You love Eric Bischoff?” Don Callis: “Oh ha ha ha…” Joey Styles: “I think you two would make a lovely couple…” Don Callis: “Grow up Joey, you are really p*****g me off tonight you know that? You haven’t shut up all night and now you’re acting like a little kid. Now ignore him because now we’re going to our main event where the last spot in the next round of the GWF World Championship Tournament as Ken Shamrock will now go up against Marcus Bagwell in our main event…” Joey Styles: “The winner of this match…” Don Callis: “Look there you go again, the match is starting and you’re still talking away.” Rating: C –vs- Ken Shamrock –vs- Marcus Bagwell GWF World Championship Tournament Round 1 Match Ref: Brian Hebner Ok this match wasn’t really that pretty, but thankfully it was quite short. Although the two clicked quite well in this match Ken Shamrock’s age and Marcus Bagwell’s, well, ability was glaringly obvious in this match. The two tried their best to protect themselves and each other as much as possible and the crowd really helped in this match. Anyway, the finish came when Marcus Bagwell tapped out to Ken Shamrock when he applied the ankle lock. This means that Ken Shamrock will face Chris Jericho tomorrow night at No Remorse in the semi-final of the GWF World Championship Tournament. However the real story here is what happened after this match. Winner at 11.47 - Ken Shamrock Rating: B As Ken Shamrock celebrated his win Chris Jericho came out of nowhere to attack him. Taken by surprise and the fact that he had just been through a match Ken Shamrock was in no real shape to fight Chris Jericho’s attack. After smashing a steel chair over the head over the head of Ken Shamrock, Chris Jericho added insult to injury by locking in the walls of Jericho onto the unconscious Ken Shamrock. Rating: A GWF: Breakthrough faded to black with Chris Jericho laughing as he still held Ken Shamrock in the walls of Jericho.

Gwf: No Remorse Preview
GWF: NO REMORSE PREVIEW Tonight GWF will make it’s PPV debut with GWF: No Remorse, here is all of the action that you can expect from this monumental event. –VS- BRYAN DANIELSON –VS- CM PUNK After Bryan Danielson beat him on yesterday’s edition of GWF: Breakthrough, CM Punk demanded a rematch, and Eric Bischoff granted that demand. Will CM Punk be able to beat Bryan Danielson or will he once again be staring at the ceiling? –VS- PETER GRUNER –VS- MARK JINDRAK Sean O’Haire had demanded Charlie Haas to answer his question he had asked him, but he had interrupted Peter Gruner’s match with Jimmy Yang to do it. Understandably Peter Gruner took exception to Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak interrupting his match and attacking him unprovoked. So much so that he helped Charlie Haas to fight Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak off. As a result this match was made by Eric Bischoff, but Mark Jindrak is going into this match with the advantage as he pinned Peter Gruner on last night’s GWF: Breakthrough in the tag team match, will he be able to defeat Peter Gruner in singles competition. –VS- –VS- –VS- PAUL LONDON & SPANKY –VS- NATURAL SELECTION –VS- THE BACKSEAT MEN –VS- THE HEARTBREAKERS FOUR TEAM WARFARE GWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS It’s going to be four-team warfare to crown the first ever GWF Tag Team Champions, but London & Spanky defiantly have the advantage in this one, as they are the only team to remain undefeated going into No Remorse. Paul London & Spanky have between them beaten The Backseat Men and The Heartbreakers, not only that but Spanky has also beaten Trent Acid in singles competition. Then on last night’s GWF: Breakthrough Spanky beat Andy Douglas, Antonio Thomas and Trent Acid in a fatal four-way match. However, just like Paul London and Spanky said on GWF: Breakthrough a few weeks ago, just because they are on a role doesn’t mean that they are going to win tonight. With the other three teams out to prove themselves this match is going to be all out war. –VS- –VS- JUVENTUD GUERRERA –VS- JAMES GIBSON –VS- ??? GWF CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP The big question in this match is, just who is the third man going to be? We know that is not going to be Frankie Kazarian, but that is about it. However one thing we do know is that Juventud Guerrera is going to be hurting after that attack by James Gibson on the last GWF: Breakthrough, when he laid Juventud Guerrera out, and left him laying on the floor. Juventud Guerrera is going to be out for revenge, but will he be able to get it? –VS- CHARLIE HAAS –VS- SEAN O’HAIRE GWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL Charlie Haas has advanced to this stage in the tournament by beating Daniel Puder, with a three count and all by himself. Sean O’Haire didn’t, he needed help from his backup Mark Jindrak to beat Jeff Hardy to get to this stage. After that match Sean O’Haire gave Charlie Haas a choice, turn up at No Remorse and face the same thing that Jeff Hardy went through, or don’t turn up and still have a career. Even though Jeff Hardy has still not been seen in GWF since that attack, Charlie Haas is still adamant about going through with this match. Sean O’Haire says that he has a plan, a plan that won’t go wrong and that the plan will end with him becoming the first ever GWF World Champion. Charlie Haas however doesn’t have a plan; all he has is a dream, a dream of becoming a world champion. Will Charlie Haas’s dream come true, or will Sean O’Haire’s plan go to plan? We don’t know, but with Sean O’Haire’s backup in Mark Jindrak anything can happen. –VS- KEN SHAMROCK –VS- CHRIS JERICHO GWF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL In the other semi-final match here tonight Ken Shamrock will face Chris Jericho. Last night on GWF: Breakthrough Chris Jericho left Ken Shamrock down and out in the middle of the ring with a brutal chair shot to the head. However this hanous attack was not over as Chris Jericho locked on the walls of Jericho on Ken Shamrock. This attack was meant to do one thing, to soften up Ken Shamrock for tonight, but that doesn’t look like it’s happened as Ken Shamrock looks p****d about the attack that left him out. Has the attacked provoked a sleeping monster, or has it done enough damage to count out Ken Shamrock? It’s going to be the walls of Jericho against the ankle lock, but which one will prove the most deadly? There’s only one way to find out! All of this plus: THE ‘WHO BETTA THAN KANYON’ CHALLENGE Yes you read that correctly, Chris Kanyon has said he will show up at No Remorse on last night’s GWF: Breakthrough, but he never said what he was going to do, but now we know. Chris Kanyon has said that he is unbeatable and that he can beat anyone in GWF, so he’s putting out an open challenge for anyone in GWF to answer his challenge at No Remorse and face him in a match. Who, if anybody, will answer this challenge after all Chris Kanyon has shown that he will do whatever it takes to win a match. GWF: No Remorse is only available on PPV this Sunday, don’t miss is.
Credit: GWF.com --------------------------------- Sorry about the lack of updates on this, but No Remorse will be up either tomorrow or Saturday. I’m going to try out a new format for the PPVs to make them seem a bigger deal so it may take a little longer for me to get through them.

Many people here in the audience don’t know who Jack Evans is, the few who do are cheering him, but there are now boos coming from the crowd as they were expecting someone more well known. This is defiantly not a good start to our debut on PPV. Anyway this match follows the same formula to all of the other triple threat matches with two in the ring and one on the outside, and even though the crowd didn’t really know who Jack Evans was, they do now as they are on their feet cheering him for some of the more high impact moves that he’s famous for. Jack Evans nearly has the match won at one point, managing to connect with the flying phoenix senton on Juventud Guerrera, but as Charles Robinson’s hand came down for the three James Gibson breaks up the three count and as Juventud Guerrera rolled to the outside it was now James Gibson and Jack Evans left in the ring. Even though James Gibson has the more ring experience than Jack Evans, Jack Evans is not backing down, nor is he loosing any footing to James Gibson. Everything James Gibson throws at Jack Evans, Jack Evans just seems to shrug it off and the crowd love him for it. James Gibson, obviously desperate to try and win this match, distracts the ref by pointing to someone in the front row and as Charles Robinson looks away James Gibson delivers a low blow on Jack Evans. He then nails the trailer hitch and goes for a cover, but as Charles Robinson’s hand is coming down for the three count Juventud Guerrera now breaks it up. This now leaves Juventud Guerrera and James Gibson in the ring, as Jack Evans rolls to the outside. These two go at it tooth and nail, each laying into each other as Juventud Guerrera’s anger at the attack on the last GWF: Breakthrough all comes to the surface, and James Gibson is now on the loosing foot as he is backed into a corner by Juventud Guerrera. With nowhere to run, James Gibson tries to beg off, but Juventud Guerrera is having none of it as he starts to lay right and left hands onto the skull of James Gibson. The match is now firmly in Juventud Guerrera’s hands as he is just completely dominating James Gibson. Jack Evans was still on the outside after being hit with the trailer hitch, and because of this Juventud Guerrera went for the kill. He connected with the Juvi driver on James Gibson, but instead of going straight for the cover he wanted to do more damage. Juventud Guerrera climbed up to the top rope and the crowd were now on their feet with anticipation of what Juventud Guerrera is about to do. After he looked around the crowd, Juventud Guerrera came flying off of the top rope and nailed a picture perfect 450 splash on the vulnerable James Gibson. Juventud Guerrera immediately goes for the pin and Charles Robinson starts the count, but Jack Evans is back on his feet. Jack quickly gets back in the ring and goes to break up the count, but he’s too late as he breaks the pin up a fraction of a second too late as the ref’s hand has already come down for the three count. That means that Juventud Guerrera has pinned James Gibson and is the first ever GWF Cruiserweight Champion, Jack Evans though can’t believe it but as Juventud Guerrera gets to his feet the two men shake hands in the middle of the ring in an ultimate show of respect for one another. The crowd cheer for this gesture, and for the match that we have just seen as Juventud Guerrera celebrates his win, this was the perfect way to open up the show. Winner at 13.07 and NEW GWF Cruiserweight Champion – Juventud Guerrera Rating: B- We go backstage for the first time tonight where Josh Matthews, who just like Joey Styles and Don Callis is wearing a tux, is standing by with Frankie Kazarian. Josh Matthews: “Frankie…” Frankie Kazarian: “Jack Evans? Jack Evans is the mystery third man? Jack Evans and not Frankie Kazarian was chosen to be the mystery entrant? Is this some sort of joke? Because if it is it is not funny. I am Frankie Kazarian Josh. I am the future Josh Matthews; the future of this business and Jack Evans is chosen to be the third man? This just goes to show how Eric Bischoff chooses to run his business, by awarding mediocrity and ignoring true greatness. Things better change around here or I’m right out of here. Frankie Kazarian will not be treated in this manner. Do you here me Josh Matthews, either Eric Bischoff treats me as I deserve, or I walk. I mean Jack Evans?” Rating: D We go back to the ring where Chris Kanyon is standing in the middle of the ring. Chris Kanyon: “Ahh, I said I was going to turn up and look true to my word here I am. Let us be honest here because if it weren’t for me none of you would even be here tonight. I’m the saviour of GWF, and I’ve heard so many things about this company. I’ve heard that this is the home of professional wrestling, but I’ve been looking around and I’m not impressed. No one back there is half as great as I am; no one could possible measure up to me on my worst day. So sure of this I’m issuing a challenge right now. Anyone who thinks that they can compete with me, I challenge you to come out now. It doesn’t matter who you are, man, woman, old, young, I don’t care because I’m Chris Kanyon, and I’ve got to ask ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ because from what I’ve seen nobody in the back is…” Chris Kanyon is cut off as some music starts to play, but its not one we’ve heard before here in GWF. After a while none other than Diamond Dallas Page comes out onto the stage, mic in hand. The crowd are now going ape s**t, DDP soaks this in before starting to speak, Chris Kanyon on the other hand is looking like he wants to be anywhere but here. DDP: “Chris Kanyon, you sure do run your mouth. But if you want a match here tonight, well what the h**l, I accept your challenge.” Rating: D –VS- DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE –VS- CHRIS KANYON THE ‘WHO BETTA THAN KANYON?’ CHALLENGE Ref: Brian Hebner As DDP makes his way down to the ring, Brian Hebner also runs down to the ring and rings the bell to get this match started. Chris Kanyon on the other hand looks like he wished not to make the challenge at all. DDP makes the first move, but just taking one step towards Chris Kanyon, but Chris Kanyon obviously wasn’t expecting DDP and he rolls out of the ring to try and stall from fighting. DDP just laughs, but Brian Hebner starts a ten count, and it gets to eight before Chris Kanyon will get back into the ring, after all he doesn’t want to end his undefeated streak now does he? DDP takes another step towards Chris Kanyon, who takes a step back, but does not go outside of the ring. DDP again takes another step but this time Chris Kanyon stands his ground. DDP keeps on closing the gap between Chris Kanyon, but eventually Chris Kanyon backs himself into a corner, and is trapped. DDP charges at Chris Kanyon, but Kanyon ducks, which sends DDP into the turnbuckle. Chris Kanyon actually seems pleased with this and starts to lay some knife-edge chops onto the chest of DDP. But all this does is infuriates DDP. DDP knocks Chris Kanyon down to the mat, and now DDP is firmly in control, and it stays that way for most of the rest of the match. After wearing down Chris Kanyon for a while DDP manages to nail him with a diamond cutter, but they are too near the ropes as when he goes for the pin Chris Kanyon grabs the bottom rope to stop the count. DDP however doesn’t see this and when he sees the ref has stopped counting he gets up and starts to celebrate as he thinks he’s won the match. Brian Hebner quickly tells him though that the match is still going on as Chris Kanyon grabbed the ropes. DDP does not look happy about this but he goes over to where Chris Kanyon is still laid out, or so he thinks. As DDP bends down to get Chris Kanyon off of the mat it turns out that Chris Kanyon is really playing possum as he rolls DDP up, and Brian Hebner starts to count. What Brian Hebner doesn’t see though is that Chris Kanyon has a handful of DDP’s tights. Brian Hebner counts the three and Chris Kanyon quickly rolls out of the ring and goes up the ramp celebrating his victory as DDP tries to tell Brian Hebner what happened. But as the match is now over there is nothing that Brian Hebner can do, this means that Chris Kanyon’s undefeated streak here in GWF is still intact. Winner at 11.54 – Chris Kanyon Rating: C+ Backstage we’re back with Josh Matthews, who is now with Sean O’Haire. Have you got a plan for tonight?” Sean O’Haire: “Yes Josh, I have a plan for tonight…” Josh Matthews: “Well? What is it?” Sean O’Haire: “There’s not enough time Josh to explain all the intricacies of my plan to you. You don’t have the brainpower to comprehend it; you can’t understand what goes through my head when I make a plan. All of the time and effort that goes into it, how I have to examine every possible thing that can happen, or could happen. But I will say this, I will win. And Charlie Haas, well lets just say that he will wish that he took me up on my generous offer a few weeks ago because after I finish with him it’s going to make what I did to Jeff Hardy like a walk in the park. Tonight everyone is going to witness history, you’re going to witness the last ever match of Charlie Haas. Tonight I destroy Charlie Haas to get one step closer to my destiny of becoming GWF World Champion.” Rating: B- –VS- PETER GRUNER –VS- MARK JINDRAK Ref: Charles Robinson This was, perhaps unsurprisingly, the shortest match of the night. Mark Jindrak came down to the ring first to this match and got little to no reaction; Peter Gruner came down to a little better response from the crowd, but not by much. These two actually put on a decent match, with both men playing to their strength. With Peter Gruner using his speed to avoid Mark Jindrak as much as he could, and Mark Jindrak using his strength to keep Peter Gruner grounded when he did manage to catch him. In the end though strength managed to beat speed when Mark Jindrak hit the mark of excellence on Peter Gruner for the three count. Winner at 9.07 – Mark Jindrak Rating: C+ We join Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcers table. Joey Styles: “This is shaping up to be a great night Don, what else can happen?” Don Callis: “I don’t know, but what else could happen? I mean DDP is now in GWF, we have a new GWF Cruiserweight Champion and now we’re going to see the first semi-final match in the GWF World Championship Tournament as Charlie Haas takes on Sean O’Haire.” Joey Styles: “This has turned into way more than a tournament match now though Don, this has turned personal. With an unprovoked attack by Mark Jindrak and threats from Sean O’Haire, Charlie Haas is lucky to even be here tonight. You’ve got to give it to the kid for showing up here tonight, lets take a look at the lead up to this match.” Rating: C- A video is played showing all of the build-up to this match, including how Charlie Haas and Sean O’Haire got here in the first place. The video contains highlights of the tag match from the last GWF: Breakthrough match as well. Sean O’Haire then comes down to the ring to a good amount of heel heat, but the major problem for Charlie Haas is that Mark Jindrak is nowhere to be seen. These mind games are still going on as this match starts as now Charlie Haas has to keep his concentration split in two, as he has to fight Sean O’Haire, but keep an eye out for mark Jindrak. As Charlie Haas’s attention is now split in two Sean O’Haire is able to take the advantage in this match. Sean O’Haire even tries to go for the finish early on in this match as he nails the prophecy on Charlie Haas, but when he goes for the three count Charlie Haas kicks out at the count of two, showing just how determined he is to win this match. It is obvious that Charlie Haas is in trouble, and it seems that way to Sean O’Haire as well as he goes up top, he comes flying off with a swanton bomb but all he connects with is the mat as Charlie Haas manages to roll out of the way just in time. This allows Charlie Haas some much needed time to try and recover from some of the damage that he has already sustained. It also seems that a switch has been changed as Charlie Haas now looks to be more concentrated on the task at hand as he gets to his feet. Back at a vertical base he starts to fight back against Sean O’Haire, who is visibly shocked at the resilience of Charlie Haas, obviously he hadn’t planned for this contingency. It was now Charlie Haas’s turn to have the advantage in this match, and he started to gain momentum in this match, even hitting the exploder suplex on Sean O’Haire, but when he went for the cover all he got was a two count. Never the less Charlie Haas kept up his attack on Sean O’Haire, not letting off Sean O’Haire for a second. In a brief bit of respite for Sean O’Haire comes when he manages to reverse a suplex, and send Charlie Haas to the mat. Sean O’Haire then does a weird signal sort of thing and then just slumps down in the corner. Charles Robinson is obviously puzzled by this, but he soon guesses what this is about as Mark Jindrak starts to come down the ramp. Charles Robinson gets out of the ring to send Mark Jindrak back to the back, but it seems that this is what Sean O’Haire had planned to happen, as he gets back to his feet he reaches into his trunks and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles and as Charlie Haas gets back to his feet Sean O’Haire nails him with a punch with the brass knuckles, sending Charlie Haas straight back down to the mat. Sean O’Haire just laugh, and after disposing of the evidence he gestures to Mark Jindrak that he can go back up the ramp, but Mark Jindrak doesn’t move and just starts to point behind Sean O’Haire. And when Sean O’Haire does turn around wham, he is sent right down to the match with a chair shot to the head, delivered by Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy then drags Charlie Haas over Sean O’Haire and then gets out of the ring and goes right after Mark Jindrak. Jeff Hardy and Mark Jindrak start to brawl up the ramp and Charles Robinson has no idea just what the h**l is going on. He turns back to the ring and sees the cover being made. He quickly slides back into the ring and starts the count, Sean O’Haire is in no state to kick out and Charlie Haas doesn’t really know what’s going on but Charles Robinson doesn’t know any of this. He finishes the count and Charlie Haas is going to Breakdown next month and will face either Ken Shamrock or Chris Jericho for the GWF World Champion. Charles Robinson tries to raise Charlie Haas’s hand, but can’t get around the fact that Charlie Haas seems to be lifeless. Winner at 16.30 – Charlie Haas Rating: B We leave Charles Robinson trying to get his head round this to go backstage to Josh Matthews who is waiting with Chris Jericho. Josh Matthews: “Chris…” Chris Jericho: “Did you see that Josh? Did you see how other people are forced to cheat, to get other people to help them to win their matches. Well Josh, I am Chris Jericho, the King of the world and your future GWF World Champion and I don’t need any help from anybody to win my matches. Tonight I will beat Ken Shamrock by myself, and just like Perry Saturn, Ken Shamrock will get an overdose of vitamin C! CM Punk slides into the ring, and he doesn’t even wait for the bell to ring as he dives for Bryan Danielson, who was surprised by this early barrage by CM Punk and has gained the early advantage. In fact CM Punk has the advantage for most of this match, and shows that he is not a force to be taken lightly. That is not to say that Bryan Danielson looked weak out there as there were a number of times where he looked particularly dangerous. He even managed to lock in the cattle mutilation on CM Punk, but they were too near to the ropes and CM Punk was able to reach them to break the hold. However, if anything, being locked in the cattle mutilation seemed to make CM Punk even angrier than he was before, battling with a rejuvenated spirit. After all of the damage that Bryan Danielson had gone through in this match, it was a miracle that he had lasted this long, but it was clear from the beginning of this match that there was only going to be one finish, and it came when Bryan Danielson tapped out to the straight edge hold, giving CM Punk the submission victory. Winner at 13.52 – CM Punk Rating: B- Backstage we find Sean O’Haire in his locker room with Mark Jindrak. Sean O’Haire: “How could I not see this coming? Why didn’t I plan for this? I mean it was so obvious now, how could I not see it? My plan, my perfect plan is ruined, Jeff Hardy’s going to pay for this Mark. He’s going to pay, he’s going to wish that he wasn’t born after I finished with him!” Sean O’Haire then gets up and flings the chair he was sitting on across the room and starts to destroy the locker room, after he can’t find anything to destroy anymore he gets into Mark Jindrak’s face, who has just been standing there while this is going on. Once a person is pinned or submits, their team is out of the match. The last team not to be pinned or submit are the winners and will become the first GWF Tag Team Champions. Just like the match on GWF: Breakthrough, all h**l broke out within minutes of the match starting and Brian Hebner lost all sense of order, and he didn’t seem to care. The first elimination actually came quite quickly as The Backseat Men hit the T-Gimmick on Andy Douglas, and after a pin Natural Selection were sent out of this match. This left London & Spanky, The Heartbreakers and The Backseat Men, and London & Spanky may have well have got a giant targets on their backs, as The Heartbreakers and The Backseat Men teamed up against them. Effectively it was four against two, but it didn’t take long for this newfound alliance to break down as The Backseat Men quickly turned on The Heartbreakers. The Heartbreakers had just nailed the double STO on Spanky, and one on Paul London as well, so The Backseat Men though they would have the match won. Trent Acid super kicked Antonio Thomas out of the ring and as Johnny Heartbreaker was trying to figure out what happened The Backseat Men laid him out with a T-Gimmick. Trent Acid made the cover on Johnny Heartbreaker, and got the three count. This now means that it’s down to just two teams with London & Spanky left with The Backseat Men. To say that The Backseat Men were confident at this point would be an understatement as London & Spanky were still laid out. Johnny Kashmere wasted no time in going for the cover on Paul London, but Paul London kicked out at the count of two. Trent Acid tried to pin Spanky, but he too kicked out at the count of two. Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid were visible shocked at this, but never the less the picked Spanky up of the mat and went to hit the T-Gimmick, but he reversed it and managed to send Trent Acid over the top rope in the process. That left Johnny Kashmere in the ring, and he was too stunned to be able to fight off the sliced bread #2, Paul London was now also up and he climbed up to the top rope and came flying off with the London’s Calling onto the prone Johnny Kashmere. Paul London immediately went for the cover, Trent Acid was still on the outside, but as he was getting up he saw what was happening in the ring. Trent Acid got up on the apron, but Spanky knocked him back off, this allowed Brian Hebner to count the three meaning that Paul London & Spanky are the new GWF Tag Team Champions. Winners at 16.11 and NEW GWF Tag Team Champions – Paul London & Spanky Natural Selection eliminated by The Backseat Men The Heartbreakers eliminated by The Backseat Men The Backseat Men eliminated by Paul London & Spanky Rating: C+ We leave Paul London and Spanky celebrating their win in the ring to find Josh Matthews standing in a corridor backstage. Josh Matthews: “Over the last couple of weeks I’ve tried to get an interview from CM Punk, but each time I try to get an interview, well lets just say that he refuses. Tonight though, since it’s a big occasion, I hope that he will be interviewed, and look he here comes now.” Sure enough CM Punk comes walking down the corridor, he just completely ignores Josh Matthews and walks right past him, but Josh Matthews starts to walk beside him. Josh Matthews: “CM Punk congratulations on your big win here tonight. You must be happy about beating Bryan Danielson” Josh Matthews doesn’t get a response though, as we turn a corner all we see is Josh Matthews stop in his tracks, CM Punk though carries on walking away though. All we hear is Josh Matthews say. Josh Matthews: “Oh my God.” Rating: C- We cut to another part of the backstage area to find Eric Bischoff talking on the phone. Eric Bischoff: “Does anyone know how to knock…” Josh Matthews: “Mr Bischoff, you’ve got to come quick, something’s happened.” We don’t get any other explanation than this as Josh Matthews goes running out of the room, and Eric Bischoff follows him, and so does the camera. After a bit of running we find ourselves in the same place as we left Josh Matthews in the first place. Eric Bischoff: “What the h**l?” We find out what all the panic is about, Ken Shamrock is shown unconscious on the floor, with blood gushing out of his forehead. The crowd are merciless in their reaction to Chris Jericho, and he is screaming that he was not the one who attacked Ken Shamrock. Chris Jericho gets into this ring and grabs a mic. Chris Jericho: “Let me make this clear to all of you peons in the crowd, I did not attack Ken Shamrock. It wasn’t me dammit.” The crowd don’t believe him though as the booing just increases. Chris Jericho: “It wasn’t me! I don’t know who attacked him but it wasn’t me. For all I know Ken Shamrock has done that to himself to get out of wrestling me.” The crowd are not buying any of this and the boos are now constant, in fact a large chant of ‘a*****e’ has started directed at Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho: “Fine, you people don’t believe me, I don’t care but the fact of this matter is that I’m supposed to have a semi-final match tonight and I’m here but my opponent isn’t so you monkey, start a ten count.” He’s now backing Brian Hebner into the corner. Chris Jericho: “Ring the bell monkey, and count that son of a b***h out, and raise my hand in victory.” Brian Hebner is visibly afraid as Chris Jericho is intimidating him, he signals for the bell to be rung and he starts a ten count. 1 … 2 … 3 … 4 … 5 … 6 … 7 … 8 … … But wait, Brian Hebner stops his count as Ken Shamrock’s music kicks in. Chris Jericho can’t believe it, but the crowd are going mad as Ken Shamrock stumbles down to the ramp. There is a makeshift bandage wrapped around his head as he gets into the ring. Ken Shamrock: “One thing Chris Jericho, I may have been knocked out, but I’m not out. This match is still on! ” The crowd really like this decision and start to cheer even louder, one for the fact that the match is going ahead and two, at the resilience of Ken Shamrock. Brian Hebner just shrugged and agreed for this match to ahead. Chris Jericho was not happy about this though, he had thought that he had a bye to the next round, but now he’s going to have to fight for it after all. The bandage on the head of Ken Shamrock was a major target for Chris Jericho, at every possible point Chris Jericho would take a cheap shot at it. It was actually a testament to Ken Shamrock that he was even in the ring at all after what had happened, but he showed just how much the GWF World Championship means to him. However the attack backstage has obviously taken it’s toll on Ken Shamrock, as even though he had most of the advantage in this match, every now and then he would start to shake his head, and grab the ropes to steady himself, obviously trying to shake off the effects of the attack. These little interludes were very valuable to Chris Jericho, as he managed to get his breath back, and get the advantage for himself. It was one of these little interludes that Chris Jericho took the most advantage, as he locked Ken Shamrock in the walls of Jericho, however Ken Shamrock was able to battle out of it, and he even manage to lock in the ankle lock onto Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho was now screaming in pain, in the middle of the ring. Jericho slowly crawled towards the ropes and grabbed the bottom one, but Ken Shamrock dragged Chris Jericho back into the centre of the ring. Chris Jericho was not be counted out just yet though as he slowly made his way towards the ropes again, and when he reached them he would not let go and Ken Shamrock was forced to release the hold. The longer the match went on though, it was working more in Chris Jericho’s favour. Ken Shamrock was visibly tiring and Chris Jericho took this time to strike. He started to run circles around Ken Shamrock, but everything that he hit was not enough to put Ken Shamrock away for the three count. Chris Jericho though felt he had the match won and started to get c**ky. He started to fake box with Ken Shamrock as Ken Shamrock was shaking the cobwebs from his head. Chris Jericho did this for too long though as Ken Shamrock recovered and delivered a belly-to-belly suplex, or maybe not as Chris Jericho was able to reverse the move, and locked in the walls of Jericho onto Ken Shamrock. They were in the middle of the ring, and just as Chris Jericho had done earlier Ken Shamrock starts to slowly crawl to the bottom rope. But just as he reaches for it Chris Jericho drags him back into the middle of the ring. All of the match and the attack have finally taken its toll on Ken Shamrock as he can’t fight it anymore. He doesn’t tap out though, and the ref raises Ken Shamrock’s arm, it falls. Brian Hebner raises Ken Shamrock’s arm for the second time, and again it fall back down to the mat. Brian Hebner raises Ken Shamrock’s hand for the third and final time, and for the third time Ken Shamrock’s arm falls down to the mat. Ken Shamrock chose to loose coconsciousness rather than submit to Chris Jericho. The ref rings the bell and the match is over, so it’s now decided. At GWF: Breakdown it’ll be Charlie Haas –vs- Chris Jericho in the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament. Winner at 17.18 – Chris Jericho Rating: B GWF: No Remorse ends with Chris Jericho celebrating his win while Ken Shamrock lays unconscious on the mat.

Just read all the way through, nice work :) Are you using an older version of TEW? I'm sure I remember the low attendance bug happening on the first version of TEW from the .400 studio. You've got a great show going though, it's good to read, the effort you've put into it is really rewarding. At first I thought Pat Patterson was going to be the 'turncoat' that had helped you out of prision due to his reluctancy to plant the drugs (strangely enough he was released by WWE later on). I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I was enjoying the Chris Kanyon promos mid show, shame they totally bombed on the ratings haha. You should make the ref his tag team partner and have him fued no name jobbers, though his potential fued with DDP is going to be a good direction as well. The main event looks more then sorted, you're doing a good job, sure I've said that already.

I agree, another great show! It is a shame that such good segments get such low ratings. I know is has to do with certain stats and what not, but even still. Charlie Haas vs. Chris Jericho should be great, ven though it seems nothing is settled between Jericho and Shamrock and between Haas and O'Haire. Great show!

Monthly Update June 2007 So, our first month is over and everything seems to be going great. Apart from the Trent Acid incident all the roster have behaved themselves, which is actually a massive surprise considering who we have on our roster. There were a few grumblings by some people about how they hadn’t been used much this month, but with only four hours worth of internet time a month and a PPV to build towards, not everyone can by showcased as much as they should be. Still the response to GWF: Breakthrough has been great so far, and the early indications are that GWF: No Remorse has been well received as well. There has been some negative response to it though, especially Jack Evans as the mystery man as well as DDP turning up. Many felt that the mystery entrant in the triangle match should have been someone bigger, while the employment of DDP is giving ammunition to Vince McMahon. It hadn’t been two minutes from when DDP showed up on PPV that he had left a message on our machine. “You see, this is the reason that you a*****es are never going to make it in this business. DDP for Christ sakes? I mean come on, the man was past it five years ago, but you have proved one thing. Even though you say you’re going to be the future of wrestling, you’re using stars that are already established. You’re not going to last three months before you close. No ones going to watch this c**p that you put on.” He was right I suppose, but then again, how did he know about DDP showing up two minutes after it happened if he was not watching our PPV. I was knocked out of my wonderings as Eric Bischoff entered my office. He had just gotten off of the phone with our finance department, to see what the damage is. “Do you want the good news or the bad news first Matt?” “Uh, I’ll um take the bad news first I guess.” “Ok, well then this is the expenditure that we had this month:”
Expenditures Worker Costs – 232,750.00 Show Costs – 59,000.00 Production Costs – 179,000.00 Marketing Costs – 25,000.00 Merchandise Costs – 27,893.00 Misc. ” “You know I hate to burst your bubble Eric, but I've just been on the phone with our PPV carrier." “What did he want?” “He said that friend or not Eric, if we get another buy-rate like this next month then the third one will be the last. ” “What’s he talking about, our estimates show that the buys were much more that we were expecting.” “Yes, but he said that they come way below what they were envisioning. It’s not looking good Eric…” “Hey, I’ve been through worse but listen. What we’ve got planned for the next couple of months are going to be massive. We’ll have them begging us to show our PPVs with them just you wait.” “You know what Eric, I wish I had your confidence, I really do.”

The Wrestling Wire 06/02/07 So, did we like GWF’s first PPV, and is there a new arrival on its way to TNA, read on to find out. --------------------------------- GWF: NO REMORSE RECAP Lat Sunday saw the first PPV from GWF and while some points of the event came off ok, the others we have to ask what are Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff thinking? We’ll go through the PPV match by match. The triple threat match for the GWF Cruiserweight Championship was a good choice to start the show, what wasn’t a good choice was having Jack Evans as the mystery man. Why wasn’t Frankie Kazarian put in this spot? I’ll guess we’ll never know but this was just the first of the weird choices the booking team have made. The next weird choice was shown in the next match, DDP. Now don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of DDP, but for a company that stated that they are going to create new stars why are they using established stars like DDP? If they are not careful they are going to turn into WCW lite, especially facing him off against another former WCW star. What is there to say about the Peter Gruner –vs- Mark Jindrak match? Well at least it was short I guess. Moving on we had one of the two major matches on this card, Charlie Haas –vs- Sean O’Haire. Now this match was going great until they decided to have interferences galore. I suppose this sets up a rematch for the two, but do we really want to see Jeff Hardy –vs- Sean O’Haire again. Swiftly moving on we came to Bryan Danielson –vs- CM Punk, now some people were surprised with the outcome here as they felt that a good mid-card feud has been wasted, but apparently RoH is looking to secure a TV deal, and when they do they will tie all of their major talent, including Bryan Danielson, to written contracts. The thinking in GWF is that if and when this does happen, they need to establish their talent as best as possible, so a win for CM Punk was necessary. Still, at least it was a good match. The match before the main event was the four-team warfare match, what is there to say apart from just who in the h**l has Natural Selection p****d off? Now it was time for the main event, and this is where things have gone even screwier, because Ken Shamrock was attacked backstage. Our sources say that this is going to be a huge angle for the company, with the whole who was it storyline. Chris Jericho is the obvious pick in this one, but he came out and said it wasn’t him. Anyway attack or not Ken Shamrock wrestled a seventeen-minute match, and the finish was great. Not only was the walls of Jericho put over to be made a legitimate threat again, but also they built Ken Shamrock up as the man who would rather pass out than tap out. For a first PPV, we’ve got to say that this was an OK event, but they are going to have to do a lot better. Our sources say that GWF’s PPV carrier is not happy, but we’ll wait and see what happens. Early estimates show that the show pulled in 209,887 viewers. --------------------------------- BILL GOLDBERG TO TNA? With the non-aggression pact with GWF now in full effect TNA are being forced to look elsewhere for talent, and witness say that Bill Goldberg is one man that TNA are looking at. With the loss of Impact, more on that later, TNA are trying to get back on a better foot and they feel that signing Bill Goldberg may be a big coup for them. It remains to be seen if TNA can afford his hefty price tag, after all even Eric Bischoff couldn’t get him to reduce his price, but apparently TNA are desperate to turn around their fortunes. We’ll keep you posted on this breaking news. --------------------------------- DDP SIGNS WITH GWF! As we mentioned before DDP has signed with GWF, while the exact details of the contract aren’t known, our sources say that DDP begged Eric Bischoff for a job. Apparently he still feels angry at how he was treated in WWE, and anyone that has problems with WWE looks to be welcomed with GWF. However with the rumoured contract negations with Bill Goldberg and with the hiring’s of some former WCW wrestlers, we have to ask is Eric Bischoff just hiring his friends or does he know what he’s doing. I guess we won’t find out until Kevin Nash turns up in GWF. --------------------------------- TNA IMPACT ON SHELF Many had though that TNA would revert back to showing Impact on their website, but it now looks like that is going to happen. TNA feels that it would hurt them more in the long run, and is not a progression. It now looks like Impact is going to be shelved until they can find another TV deal to show it. --------------------------------- ATTENDANCE FOR RAW BACK UP After the last two weeks of abysmal attendance of WWE RAW, Vince McMahon is said to be estactic that the attendance has soared again. This week’s Raw drew an attendance of over 6,000. We still don’t know the real reason why the last two Raws were attended by only 300 people, but Vince McMahon has got to be pleased. --------------------------------- THIS WEEKS TV, AND INTERNET, RATINGS WWE RAW Final Rating: B+ Attendance: 6,954 Viewers: 1,554,354 TNA XPLOSION Final Rating: C+ Attendance: 4,292 Viewers: 145,984 GWF: BREAKTHROUGH Final Rating: C+ Attendance: 1,000 Downloads 308,058 With the loss of Impact and Xplsoion their only TV show, it’s got to worry TNA that viewers of Xplosion has dropped by 200,000 people (the figures for last weeks show are 379,812) TNA have got to be worried. --------------------------------- GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW We’ll finish with the preview of tonight’s GWF: Breakthrough.
GWF: Breakthrough Preview 06/02/07 WHO ATTACKED KEN SHAMROCK?? Last night at GWF: No Remorse Ken Shamrock was attacked backstage, and left bloodied and unconscious. It was a miracle that Ken Shamrock even managed to get down to the ring the state he was in, let alone wrestle a match. After GWF: No Remorse went off the air Ken Shamrock was taken to a local medical facility, where he has been diagnosed with a severe concussion and has been kept in for observation. The question is now though, just who attacked him? Fingers are pointing at Chris Jericho, but he’s denying all knowledge. Will the attacker reveal himself, or will we have to wait? At GWF: No Remorse Sean O’Haire lost to Charlie Haas in the semi-final of the GWF World Championship Tournament, after interference from Jeff Hardy. Sean O’Haire has said that Jeff Hardy will pay for costing him the match, but he has also asked Eric Bischoff for a rematch, will Sean O’Haire get his rematch? Also at GWF: No Remorse Frankie Kazarian stated that unless he gets treated the way he deserves he will walk out of the company, and it looks like Eric Bischoff has not taken this threat likely as after four weeks Frankie Kazarian will get his first match here in GWF, as one member of a ten man battle royal to determine the number one contender to Juventud Guererra’s GWF Cruiserweight Championship. Is Frankie Kazarian really the future, or is he all talk? Plus Chris Kanyon will issue another ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ challenge. Chris Kanyon beat Diamond Dallas Page at GWF: No Remorse, who will the next to answer Chris Kanyon’s challenge? Confirmed Matches 10 Man Battle Royal for the #1 contendership of the GWF Cruiserweight Championship. The Chris Kanyon parts of the shows were actually my favorite part, I like the idea of brining in the ref that helped him though, I might use that actually. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, and for the good comments as well, always appreciated.
I agree, another great show! It is a shame that such good segments get such low ratings. I really should have some sort of prediction contest with a reward at the end. Not a cash prize or anything, but say a main event on a GWF: Breakthrough or name an event or something. I don’t know, I’ll give it a think anyway. Thanks again for the feedback.

JACK EVANS FROM THE HEAVENS HAHAHA. Good pick for the triple threat match for me but for others, I dunno about that. I was thinking someone with big popularity but Evans is a good pick & a Kazarian/Evans fued would be considerable.

Kazarian is pissed becasue Evans was picked in his place so he attacks Bishoffs golden pick. Just a thought. Also I love how you are able to critique yourself in the reviews section. Most of us would not have the ability to do that. Cant wait for the next show brother!

GWF: Breakthrough, Who Attacked Ken Shamrock?, 06/02/07 GWF: Breakthrough 06/02/07 Savvis Center, St Louis, Missouri Before we go to the arena, still photos showing what happened at GWF: No Remorse are shown. The crowd boo him as he comes down to the ring accompanied by Mark Jindrak. While Sean O’Haire grabs a mic, Mark Jindrak just stands in the corner. Sean O’Haire: “ I’m here to right a great injustice that has befallen me. I’m here to appeal to the better and fair nature of the GWF president Eric Bischoff to right this most unfair and unjust wrong. You all know what I’m going on about, last Sunday at GWF: No Remorse Jeff Hardy attacked me during my match with Charlie Haas. Now because of this attack, an unprovoked attack I might add, I was cost the match and thus, I lost my place in the GWF World Championship Tournament. Now I don’t want to take this show hostage, but I will do until this situation has been rectified. I am refusing to leave this ring until the match result is overturned and I am sent through to the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament. After all this is only fair, if it wasn’t for Jeff Hardy’s callous and malicious attack, I would have won that match and would therefore be in the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament. So Eric Bischoff, if you want your show to run properly I suggest that you come down to this ring and we can talk about this face to face.” However instead of Eric Bischoff making his way down to the ring, Charlie Haas does instead. Charlie Haas: “Did I hear you correctly, that you want the match to be overturned, and for you to go to the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament?” Sean O’Haire: “I wasn’t aware that I had a stutter Charlie Haas, or that you had a problem with your hearing, but yes Charlie Haas I am asking, no I am demanding, that the match is overturned and that I am sent through to the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament.” Charlie Haas: “Yeah, I though that is what you said. But the thing is Sean, I’m not just going to stand by and see that happen. You see Sean, if I remember correctly, you actually used a pair of brass knuckles on me…” Sean O’Haire: “That is beside the point Charlie, you used illegal outside interference to win that match. That is not just, that is cheating and you should be ashamed of yourself, using outside interference to win you matches…” Charlie Haas: “Just like you used Mark Jindrak to help you win your first round match with Jeff Hardy?” Sean O’Haire: “You’re going off the point again Charlie, what I did is not relevant to this matter, what is relevant is that Jeff Hardy interfered on your behalf. Whether it was on your orders or not, it doesn’t matter…” Sean O’Haire was now cut off from speaking as Jeff Hardy came out and joined Charlie Haas on the ramp. Jeff Hardy: “Sean, you want…” Sean O’Haire: “I knew it, you two are in collaboration. You two had it all planned didn’t you. You asked Jeff Hardy to interfere for you and cost me the match. You shock me Charlie you really do. Forcing to such lows in order to win matches. I will make you proud as GWF World Champion when I face Chris Jericho at GWF: Breakdown later this month. Refusing Charlie Haas to have his spot…” Eric Bischoff: “Shut-up! Sean O’Haire, I said that the match result from GWF: No Remorse will be overturned, but nothing about you advancing to the finals of the GWF World Championship Tournament. Sure Jeff Hardy interfered, but you used brass knuckles. So therefore you two will have a rematch tonight. The winner will go onto GWF: Breakdown in the final of the GWF World Championship. Oh and if Mark Jindrak or Jeff Hardy, or anyone else for that matter, interferes then they will be immediately fired from the company. Despite only winning the championship six days ago it seems that there are challenges for the title already. This is also the debut match in the company for Frankie Kazarian, and he was on fire from the start of this match. Eliminating Evan Karagias is the open seconds of this match. Elimination 1 – Evan Karagias by Frankie Kazarian In fact Frankie Kazarian was very dominante in the open stages in this match, as not long after eliminating Evan Karagias he eliminated Peter Gruner from the match as well. Elimination 2 Peter Gruner by Frankie Kazarian In the other side of the ring Natural Selection were working as a cohesive unit, quickly eliminating Antonio Thomas from the match. Elimination 3 Antonio Thomas by Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens However as they were throwing Antonio Thomas over the top rope, and then waving him goodbye, Frankie Kazarian snuck up behind them and threw them both over the top rope. Elimination 4 Andy Douglas by Frankie Kazarian Elimination 5 Chase Stevens by Frankie Kazarian Within the opening three minutes of this match half of the wrestlers have already been eliminated. This left Jack Evans, Bryan Danielson, James Gibson, Jimmy Yang and Frankie Kazarian left in the ring. James Gibson and Jack Evans were fighting in one corner, while Jimmy Yang and Bryan Danielson were fighting in another corner. Frankie Kazarian was just standing in one corner and was watching what was happening. However five soon went down to four as Jimmy Yang eliminated Bryan Danielson. Elimination 6 Bryan Danielson by Jimmy Yang There was obviously a lot of bad feelings from GWF; No Remorse between Jack Evans and James Gibson as they were hammering each other to bits. Jack Evans came out on top though, managing to eliminate James Gibson from the match. Elimination 7 James Gibson by Jack Evans Frankie Kazarian now tried to attack Jack Evans from behind, but Jack Evans was ready for him. As Frankie Kazarian ran towards him, Jack Evans used his own momentum against him and threw him over the top rope. Elimination 8 Frankie Kazarian by Jack Evans Frankie Kazarian couldn’t believe it though and threw a massive tantrum on the outside, and as Jimmy Yang and Jack Evans fought inside the ring, Frankie Kazarian was destroying the ringside area. Eventually, with nothing else to destroy, Frankie Kazarian re-entered the ring, and attacked Jack Evans. Jimmy Yang also joined in the attack and it was two on one. Jack Evans was completely mauled, and eventually Frankie Kazarian got Jimmy Yang to throw him over the top rope. This means that Jimmy Yang will go onto GWF: Breakdown to face Juventud Guerrera for the GWF Crusierweight Championship. Frankie Kazarian however was still p****d about being eliminated by Jack Evans, and was now on the outside of the ring slapping him in the face as we go backstage. Elimination 9 Jack Evans by Jimmy Yang Winner at 8.36 – Jimmy Yang Rating: C+ Josh Matthews is standing by with Chris Jericho. Josh Matthews: “Last night Chris Jericho you advanced to the finals of the GWF World Championship Tournament after beating Ken Shamrock, but you’ve got to admit that it was very courageous for Ken Shamrock to even show up after that attack…” Chris Jericho: “Whoa, stop right there Josh, are you suggesting that I attacked Ken Shamrock to send him out of that match…” Josh Matthews: “No I never…” Chris Jericho: “Because I’ll said what I said last night Josh, it wasn’t me. I was not involved with the attack on Ken Shamrock…” Josh Matthews “You’re a bit defensive…” Chris Jericho: “You’d be too Josh if it was you. All week long I’ve people coming up to me asking why I did it, why would I attack Ken Shamrock and I’m sick of it Josh. I did not attack Ken Shamrock, did you hear me. I DID NOT ATTACK KEN SHAMROCK. ” Chris Jericho then storms off down the corridor as we go back to the ring. Rating: A Back in the ring Chris Kanyon is waiting. Chris Kanyon: “Now I hope all of you watched GWF: No Remorse because if you did you would have witnessed history, my first ever match in GWF. I’m glad to say that I won that match; I beat Diamond Dallas Page in the middle of this very ring. Now on the success of last Sunday, I’ve been swamped with letters congratulating me, and because of this I’m issuing another open challenge for any one in the back to come and face me in the ring…” Chris Kanyon is cut off as Diamond Dallas Page makes his way down to the ring. Chris Kanyon: “I’ve beat you once, I don’t need to beat you again. So if anyone in the back that I’ve not faced before…” DDP: “You want to claim you beat me Chris? Fine go ahead, but everyone here knows that you grabbed my tights to beat me. So the way I see it I get a rematch tonight…” Chris Kanyon: “You may see it that way Page, but I don’t. I’ve beat your sorry a*s once, I don’t need to do it again.” DDP: “Are you scared Chris…” Chris Kanyon: “I’m not scared of anyone, especially an antique like you. I don’t need to face you again, because I’ve already have done. There is nothing to gain from beating you again. The record books have already shown that I’ve beaten than you. Now like I’ve said I’m issuing a challenge for anyone that I haven’t faced…” DDP: “You may be issuing a challenge Chris, but I’m not going anywhere until you face me. But you want something to gain from facing me again, fine. If you win this match you’ll never have to face me again.” Chris Kanyon: “Never again huh? So I’ll have bragging rights huh? Fine you got it, but DDP I’m afraid that this will be your last brush with greatness. In fact DDP looked to have the match won as he had just nailed the diamond cutter on Chris Kanyon and had gone for the cover. However when Charles Robinson’s hand was coming down for the ring, he was pulled out of the ring by the referee that helped Chris Kanyon in those videos we saw last week, he then smashed a steel chair over the head of Charles Robinson. Whoever this ref was he was wearing a ref’s shirt and got into the ring, steel chair in hand. DDP had gotten up to see what was going on, and as he started to question he was met with a steel chair shot to the head for his troubles. This ref then shook Chris Kanyon back to his senses and watched as he went over to DDP and covered him. This mystery ref then counted a lightening quick three count and then raised Chris Kanyon’s hand in victory. Chris Kanyon was laughing his head off, as he knew that DDP could not get a rematch, and had been outsmarted by Chris Kanyon. Winner at 7.16 – Chris Kanyon Rating: C+ Backstage we find Frankie Kazarian walking down the corridor, he stops in his tracks when he comes face to face with GWF president Eric Bishcoff. Eric Bischoff: “Well, that was the future was it?” Frankie Kazarian: “Don’t…” Eric Bischoff: “I really thought you had potential kid…” Frankie Kazarian: “Don’t…” Eric Bischoff: “You nearly had that match won…” Frankie Kazarian: “Eric…” Eric Bischoff: “And eliminated by Jack Evans, the man you questioned me about, the man you said didn’t deserve to be in the triple threat match last Sunday at GWF: No Remorse.” Frankie Kazarian: “Just shut-up Eric, it was a mistake. I’m the future Frankie Kazarian. That punk just got lucky is all…” Eric Bischoff: “The way I see it is Frankie, is if that kid gets even luckier, people may even think that he’s the future…” Frankie Kazarian: “Jack Evans will never be the future, not if I have anything to do with it. ” Rating: C+ We go to another part of the backstage area to find Josh Matthews with Sean O’Haire. Josh Matthews: “Sean…er Mr O’Haire, later on tonight you will get your rematch against Charlie Haas, you’ve got to be happy about it…” Sean O’Haire: “Happy? No I’m not happy Josh, because if there’s any justice then I would be in the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament. Eric Bischoff is rewarding cheating, he’s encouraging it, by letting Charlie Haas remain in this tournament. The fact is that Charlie Haas should be disqualified from the tournament for cheating, he used outside interference…” Josh Matthews: “But isn’t that how you beat Jeff Hardy to get to the semi-finals. You got Mark Jindrak to interfere on your behalf…” Sean O’Haire: “Why do people keep on dwelling on that small and insignficant fact huh? That incident is not the one that is under question here…” Josh Matthews: “But you’ve got to admit that you can’t say that Jeff Hardy’s interference is enough to disqualify Charlie Haas from this tournament, after all this was an unplanned interference unlike…” Sean O’Haire: “You’re just like the rest of them, you can’t get your small and feeble minds around this. You refuse to let go of some small piece of information that you deem to be significant, to make yourselves look intelligent. Trent Acid got little to no offence in during this match, and it looked like Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid were not getting on at all. Whatever was going on was affecting these two men’s efforts and as a result Paul London and Spanky were able to pick up the win, with very little effort involved. What was even more curious was that as soon as the bell rang Johnny Kashmere made his way to the back and left his tag team partner left on his own in the ring. Winners and still GWF Tag Team Champions at 10.48 – London & Spanky Rating: B Paul London and Spanky celebrated their win up the ramp, slapping the fans hands as they went. Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter, perhaps better known as Kenny and Johnny from the former stable in the WWE, The Spirit Squad. Paul London and Spanky were taken by surprise, and therefore could not fight back. The end of the assault came when Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter threw Paul London and Spanky off of the top of the ramp way and down to the concrete floor below. The two, damage done, then made their way backstage medics came out to check on the state of the tag team champions as we head backstage. At GWF: No Remorse Charlie Hass’s attention was split in two, with one half keeping focused on the match, the other half keeping a lookout for Mark Jindrak. But now, with Mark Jindrak banned from getting involved Charlie Haas’s attention was solely on this match, and it was obvious from the get go that Sean O’Haire was not prepared for this. Sean O’Haire’s attention on the other hand was somewhere else, he was obviously thinking about what Jeff Hardy meant by what he said just before this match. This distraction allowed Charlie Haas to nail the exploder suplex on Sean O’Haire, and get the three count, securing his place in the final of the GWF World Championship Tournament at GWF: Breakdown at the end of this month. The Wrestling Wire 06/09/07 Which promotion’s luck has just gone from terrible to even worse and who is in the bad books with GWF, read on to find out. --------------------------------- TNA IN CRISIS These last couple of months have not been exactly good for Total Non-Stop Action. First their main show Impact is dropped by Spike TV, there has been major backstage confrontations and now things have just got even more for the promotion. We wondered why the viewers of Xplosion, their only TV show had drastically lost its viewer ship, and now we know. It has now surfaces that the sunshine network, the distributor of TNA Xplosion, has bust. The company has been forced to declare bankruptcy and is now no longer running as a TV station. So now TNA has no shows on TV at all, well in the USA at least as TNA Xplosion is till been shown on the wrestling channel in the UK. So with no exposure on the North American market TNA are in serious trouble, they may even revert back to a weekly PPV formula as a necessity to survive. No one is sure if TNA can bounce back from this latest setback from this latest blow. --------------------------------- TNA CANCEL NEGOTIATIONS With the loss of Xplosion in the USA, TNA are being forced to cut back costs, that even includes the proposed deal with Bill Goldberg. Our sources say that Bill Goldberg was very close to signing a deal with TNA, in fact if the news that the sunshine network had come a day later than it did Bill Goldberg would have signed. As a result TNA can no longer afford his pay check. Will Bill Goldberg ever be seen in the world of professional wrestling again is still a mystery, after GWF and now TNA breaking off negotiations what other promotion is there for Bill Goldberg to go to. WWE have no interest in signing him, and he would not fit in with the RoH styles, it looks like Bill Goldberg will be forced to star in some straight to video movies for the foreseeable future, unless he is willing to reduce the amount of money he want. --------------------------------- NEW WWE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS Many were surprised to see the makeshift team of Chris Masters and Stevie Richards take the WWE World Tag Team Championships, especially after in one of Chris Master’s first match with the company he nearly broke Stevie Richards neck. But still these two are the new champions, but the WWE have lost all semblance of a tag team division so why even bother with these championships anyway? --------------------------------- GWF LOOSING PATIENCE WITH TRENT ACID A few weeks ago we broke the news that Trent Acid was over two hours late for the first tapings of GWF: Breakthrough. GWF management came down hard on Trent Acid, showing that they weren’t going to accept this sort of behaviour, but it hasn’t worked as he turned up late yet again. It was obvious that there were problems between Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid in their tag team match last Saturday and it looks like this is the reason. Trent Acid’s position with the company is now in serious jeopardy, and as a result so is Johnny Kashmere’s. Johnny Kashmere feels that Trent Acid may have cost him his shot at the big time, so they have had a serious falling out. More on this story as we get it. --------------------------------- RODERICK STRONG AND CHRIS KANYON ALTERCATION Last week at RoH’s show Chris Kanyon was booked on the show, and it will probably be his last. At the event was also Roderick Strong our sources say that the two have had issues dating back for months. There has been a war of worlds on the website between the two men, but this was the first time they actually came face to face. The two men had to be separated and sent to different areas of the backstage. As a result, for backstage harmony, Chris Kanyon will not appear in RoH ever again, and don’t look for Roderick Strong anywhere in GWF soon. --------------------------------- RATINGS Here are this week’s ratings, but remember the figures for TNA Xplosion is now only shown in the UK.
Actually critising your own work is quite easy I find, you’ve just got to be honest. As for the Frankie Kazarian/ Jack Evans deal I think that this would bring around some great matches, so hopefully you’ll like where I go with it. Anyway, sorry for the lack of updates on this, it’s just that there is some serious s**t happening where I work. As it turns out the reason we were stocktaking was because our store is closing so it was just an excuse to find out what we’ve got and transfer it to other stores. This is from a company that told us two months ago that our jobs were safe and that our shop wasn’t closing. So it’s off to the unemployment line for me, being without a job sucks, I need money dammit. Anyway long story short, getting a new job is my proity and so updates on this may be a bit longer than usual, but this isn’t going to die any time soon.

These two went out there and wowed the crowd and despite this being the shortest match tonight, it was the best. The finish came when Jack Evans hit the flying phoenix senton on James Gibson for the three count, and a very impressive win. Winner at 7.57 – Jack Evans Rating: B- As soon as the match ends though Jack Evans is jumped from behind by Frankie Kazarian, the two fight it out in the middle of the ring, but Frankie Kazarian comes out on top, after hitting a viscous jumping kick onto Jack Evans. With his damage done Frankie Kazarian leaves Jack Evans down as we head backstage. Rating: F Backstage we join Josh Matthews who is joined by Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter Josh Matthews: “I’m joined by Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter, two men that attacked the GWF Tag Team Champions Paul London & Spanky for no reason…” Ken Doance: “No reason Josh? We had plenty of reasons to do what we did.” Johnny Jeter: “Do you know how humiliating it is to be known as a male cheerleader that got fired? How embarrassed we all were to know that this is all we were ever going to be remembered for. Me and Ken have taken it on ourselves to make sure that we will not be remembered for that.” Ken Doance: “We are going to be remembered Josh for making an impact, and we have just done that. Now we’re going one step further, we want to see how much guts Paul London & Spanky have.” Johnny Jeter: “We’re challenging Paul London & Spanky to a tag team match at GWF: Breakdown. CM Punk didn’t even wait for his hand to be raised in victory, instead he walked right back up the ramp and backstage. Winner at 8.42 – CM Punk Rating: C We go backstage where Frankie Kazarian is shown walking down a corridor, where he comes face to face with Eric Bischoff. Eric Bishcoff: “So you think you’re smart?” Frankie Kazarian: “Pretty smart yes.” Eric Bischoff: “And I bet you think that I’d just let you get away with this?” Frankie Kazarian: “What can you do to stop me?” Eric Bischoff: “You need to realise that you may think you’re the future, but I don’t. I think you’re just some ****y punk that needs bringing back down to earth with a bump.” Frankie Kazarian: “You need to realise that I am the future of this business and you need to start to treat me as such. You treat me like a nobody, and if it takes attacking someone like Jack Evans to get your attention then that’s what I will have to do…” Eric Bischoff: “Oh, you got my attention all right. So much so that I’ve just made a match, at GWF: Breakdown you will face Jack Evans in a match.” Frankie Kazarian: “That’s what I wanted, to prove to the world that Frankie Kazarian, not Jack Evans is the future and that I should have been put in the triple threat match at GWF: No Remorse. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going.” Frankie Kazarian then walked away as Eric Bischoff walked away in the other direction. This left Trent Acid basically in a handicapped match against Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens. The numbers proved too much for Trent Acid as he fell victim to the natural disaster that led to Natural Selection picking up their first win in this company. Winner at 10.12– Natural Selection Rating: C- In part of the backstage area we find Josh Matthews standing next to CM Punk’s locker room. Josh Matthews: “For a long time now I’ve been trying to interview CM Punk, but I haven’t had much luck. Tonight I’m hoping that he is in a better mood, and will grant me an interview.” Josh Matthews then knocks on CM Punk’s locker room, but no one answers, Josh Matthews knocks again but there is still no answer. Josh Matthews slowly pushes the door open and starts to enter the room, and there is CM Punk sitting on a chair in the corner. CM Punk looks up, and is none to pleased in seeing Josh Matthews. CM Punk gets up and grabs Josh Matthews and forces him out of the room, slamming the door after him. Josh Matthews: “Well I guess now’s not a good time either. Back to you at ringside.” Rating: C Back in the ring we find Chris Kanyon standing in the middle of the ring, along with the ref that had helped him win his match last week. Chris Kanyon: “I would like you to introduce you all to this man right here. This is my personal referee; the only man who will be officiating my matches, as I know he is the only man that I can trust to make sure that it is called right. This man is Rick Knoxx, and is the best referee in this business today, and he is under contract with me. But enough about that because I wish to state that yet again I am amazed at the response to my match last week, my fan base is quickly growing by the minute as more and more people are realising that I’m simply the best, I mean Diamond Dallas Page is a former world champion, but he can’t beat me, I’m unbeatable. I don’t know why I’m even issuing this challenge really because who ever does come out from the back will realise that they aren’t better than me, just like DDP realises that, but I will issue this challenge as I don’t want to disappoint all of my fans out there. So with that said I challenge anyone in the back to come out here and face me, in the ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ challenge.” Chris Kanyon waits for a few minutes but no one seems to be coming out to answer his challenge. Chris Kanyon: “Maybe I misjudged everyone in the back, they all know that I’m the best, they’re too embarrassed to answer my challenge. But if I can be serious for a minute…” At that some unfamiliar music kicks in and out on the stage comes Lance Storm. Lance Storm: “If I can be serious for a minute Chris Kanyon. You go about here saying about how you’re the best, about how you’re unbeatable, you haven’t faced me! So bring whatever you want too Chris, as you’ll see that Lance Storm is better than Chris Kanyon.” Rating: C –vs- Lance Storm –vs- Chris Kanyon ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ Challenge Ref: Rick Knoxx From the very start of this match it was clear that there was only ever going to be the winner, as within a relatively short amount of time Lance Storm had smashed Chris Kanyon with a super kick. Storm had gone for the pin, but when Rick Knoxx’s hand was coming down for the three Knoxx suddenly stopped and stared at his hand. Lance Storm asked him what was wrong, and it turned out that he had a splinter in his finger, that was stopping him from counting the three. As Knoxx went over to the corner and started to try and get the splinter out Chris Kanyon had regained his senses and had gotten back to his feet. Lance Storm though was still trying to figure out what was wrong with Rick Knoxx, but when he turned around he was blinded as Chris Kanyon through some powder into the face of Lance Storm. Kanyon quickly hit the flat liner on Lance Storm and went for the cover. Rick Knoxx, miraculously without a splinter, counted a lightening fast three count giving Chris Kanyon another victory here in GWF. Winner at 12.34 – Chris Kanyon Rating: C+ As Chris Kanyon makes his way backstage we go to the announcers table where Don Callis is celebrating Chris Kanyon’s win, while Joey Styles looks on in disbelief. Don Callis: “He truly is the best Joey, nobody can beat him, he’s just too good.” Joey Styles: “I’m not even going to bother, coming up next is the contract signing between Charlie Haas and Chris Jericho for their match at GWF: Breakdown in two weeks time.” Don Callis: “Shh Joey the boss is coming to oversee everything…” Eric Bishcoff makes his way down to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Eric Bischoff also has the GWF World Championship title belt on his shoulder, sits down in the middle of a table with two chair either side of him. Eric Bishcoff: “We are here for one reason now, to sign the contacts for the match at GWF: Breakdown to determine who wins this, the GWF: World Championship. First off let me introduce you to the man who beat Daniel Puder and Sean O’Haire to advance to the final, Charlie Haas! ” Charlie Haas comes down to the ring to a good pop from the crowd, he gets into the ring and shakes hands with Eric Bishcoff, before sitting to the right of him. Eric Bishchoff: “And here is the man that beat Perry Saturn and Ken Shamrock to advance to the final, Chris Jericho! ” Chris Jericho comes down to the ring to boos from the crowd, he also gets in the ring and shakes hands with Eric Bischoff before sitting on the left hand side of Eric Bischoff. Eric Bischoff: “Before the contact is signed you will each have the opportunity to say whatever you want to your opponent, Chris Jericho you can go first.” Chris Jericho: “Chalrie Haas, you may dream to one day becoming GWF World Champion, but as long as Chris Jericho is in GWF, then there is no way that you will ever hold the title. The GWF World Champion was made to be around my gorgous waist, this match Charlie Haas is just a formality, I will be GWF World Champion, and I will only loose it when I want to. I was born to be here, you just got lucky that you never faced me before...” Charlie Haas: “What about Ken Shamrock, I guess he was just unlucky then wasn’t he?” Chris Jericho: “What? You think I had something to do with it…” Charlie Haas: “No, not something, everything Chris Jericho. You were too scared to face him in a fair fight so you attacked him before you’re match at GWF: No Remorse. That’s why you’re sitting here, because you cheap shotted Ken Shamrock, if you didn’t it would be him sitting there right now…” Charlie Haas is cut off as Chris Jericho dives for him, knocking Eric Bischoff off of his chair in the process. Chris Jericho is like a man possessed and Charlie Haas was not prepared for this. Chris Jericho has Charlie Haas backed into a corner, and is just laying into him with right and lefts, cutting Charlie Haas down and bloodied. Chris Jericho is not done though as he picks up Charlie Haas and powerbombs him right through the table that was set up for the contract signing. Chris Jericho: “For the last time, I DID NOT ATTACK KEN SHAMROCK! ” Rating: B+ GWF: Breakthrough ends with Chris Jericho standing over a beaten and bloody Charlie Haas.

The Wrestling Wire 06/16/07 We have a brand new feature here on The Wrestling Wire, but first here’s all of this week’s news and rumours from the world of professional wrestling. --------------------------------- –vs- WWE AND GWF GO HEAD TO HEAD It is now known that GWF have been warned that their future on PPV is solely based on their next effort, GWF: Breakdown. So in order to try and wound them the WWE have announced that their next PPV, The Great American Bash, has been moved and will be shown on the same Sunday as GWF: Breakdown. This will mark the first time ever that these two promotion’s programming will clash, and GWF is not happy. Apparantly the date for The Great American Bash was changed the day after GWF: No Remorse. The WWE have cited that the reason for the change is because of injuries to some of their key players. Although no injuries have been announced or known of at this point in time. It can only be assumed that Vince McMahon wants to harpoon the GWF before they get a foothold in the business. --------------------------------- THE BACKSTREET MEN RELEASED FROM GWF Word has reached us from GWF headquarters that The Backstreet Men of Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid have been released from their contracts with GWF. This marks the first time that any worker has been released from the company. The reason that the releases have come is because of Trent Acid’s backstage behaviour. Trent Acid has been late on several occasions and he has been serverly argumentative with the road agents behind the scenes. This is why Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid have been having trouble in recent weeks, it was not part of any storyline, Johnny Kashmere is severly upset with Trent Acid, so much so that it looks unlikely that the two will team together ever again. Johnny Kashmere was released solely because of Trent Acid, as there was no storyline for him without his tag team partner. --------------------------------- RING OF HONOR SIGN PPV DEAL Ring of Honor announced earlier this week that they have struck a deal with Urban Extra to air PPVs, starting next month. This is a major step forward for this company, as now if they can get national TV exposure then this promotion will go from strength to strength. We just hope that they get enough buy rates to make it profitable for the company, as it might be a costly mistake if it is. --------------------------------- BIGFOOT IDEA DROPPED Yes to the joy of wrestling fans everywhere the big foot idea has been canned. We reported last month that Dalip Singh, better known as The Great Khali, would don a gorilla suit sort of thing and become the legendary big foot, but when testing this out in some house shows the fans couldn’t stop laughing, so the WWE have dropped the idea. We can’t help but breath a huge sigh of relief as we will not be subjected to another horrible match by Dalip Singh. --------------------------------- TNA HAVE TO KEEP PRODUCING XPLOSION We revealed in last week’s edition that Xplosion is now only shown in the UK, but TNA still have to produce the show or face a major lawsuit from the chanel that broadcast the show. TNA can not afford to do this, but really can’t afford to keep on taping the show. Word is though that they will have to at least to keep their profile up in one country. --------------------------------- THIS WEEKS RATINGS WWE RAW Final Rating: B Attendance: 5,000 Viewers: 1,566,283 TNA XPLOSION Final Rating: C+ Attendance: 3004 Viewers: 146,200 GWF: BREAKTHROUGH Final Rating: C+ Attendance: 1,000 Downloads: 285,376 While Raw’s and Xplosion’s viewers stay around the same point that they did last week, GWF: Breakthrough’s shows a significant drop on last weeks. The company knew that last week’s show was the weakest one that they have done to date, but their major test comes tonight to see if they can bounce back from this setback. --------------------------------- GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW Here is the preview for tonight’s GWF: Breakthrough
GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW 06/16/07 BUILDUP TO BREAKDOWN Last week during the contract signing for their match at GWF: Breakdown Chris Jericho attacked Charlie Haas, that ended with Charlie Haas being put through a table. This was because Charlie Haas had said that Chris Jericho had attacked Ken Shamrock at GWF: No Remorse, something that Chris Jericho continues to deny but does not prove that he wasn’t the one to attack Ken Shamrock. Tonight Charlie Haas may get a chance at a bit of revenge as he will be involved in a tag match. His partner will be the GWF Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera as they face Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang in the main event. Also last week we were introuduced to Rick Knoxx, Chris Kanyon’s personal referee. This week Chris Kanyon will yet again issue another ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ challenge, but will anyone take the risk of answering the challenge with Rick Knoxx as the referee? Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter issued a challenge to the GWF Tag Team Champions Paul London and Spanky on the last GWF: Breakthrough. Doane & Jeter have said the reason they attacked Paul London and Spanky was because they don’t want to be remembered as a joke. Will Paul London and Spanky answer this challenge tonight?
Credit: GWF.com --------------------------------- We said earlier that we are debuting a new feature here today on the wrestling wire, and here it is. Each week we will evaluate some of the more influential people in this business today. Up first is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H. Fans hated him for being in the title picture for over three years, most of that as champion. His lacklustre feuds with Rob Van Dam, Kane and Scott Steiner proved to be disastrous for him, however he has redeemed himself in recent years. While not being in the title picture for most of the last two years, he has still had entertaining feuds at the top of the card, especially his series of matches with the Big Show, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair. His face turn with DX in 2006 was a welcome change as well, but his feud with the McMahon’s went on for an eternity, but at least it gave us another Shawn Michaels –vs- Triple H match when Triple H finally turned on his partner. He has been out of the title picture for a while, so that when he got his eleventh world championship it was a welcome one. Whether or not it’ll turn out like the reign of 2003 are still yet to be seen, but at the moment he is one of the best wrestlers on the planet today. The Wrestling Wire Rating: A --------------------------------- Sorry that update took so long, I intended it to be up way before now but everything has just been hectic for me recently. I also just received word that I’ve got another job, starting on the 18th so the updates should be more regular for now as it seems that my future is looking ok, for now at least:) .

Its great that your back brother and its also good to hear that you will be working again. I really like the Evaluating XXX wrestler thing. It just adds that little bit to your game. The show was a little weak, however the Kanyon segments are always a blast. Looking foward to next weeks show brother, and I hope that you are able to hold your own against the Big E on PPV.

It is either now or never, what do you say Jeff, does your hate run so deep to commit career suicide as you say?” Jeff Hardy: “So I agree to face Mark Jindrak tonight, or I never get to face him?” Sean O’Haire: “Basically, yes.” Jeff Hardy: “Fine, I’ll face Mark Jindrak tonight.” Sean O’Haire: “I knew you’d do as I wanted Jeff, everybody always does.” Rating: C –vs- Jeff Hardy –vs- Mark Jindrak Ref: Brian Hebner The end of this match came as a surprise to almost no one as with Sean O’Haire in Mark Jindrak’s corner there was only really going to be one way this was going to end. Throughout most of the match Sean O’Haire stayed on the outside of the ring, occasionally voicing his support for Mark Jindrak, but mostly he kept quiet. Inside the ring Jeff Hardy and Mark Jindrak had their own share of the advantage, with both having the momentum at different parts of the match. Jeff Hardy looked to have the match won, he had nailed the twist of fate on Mark Jindrak, but this is where his downfall was. Instead of immediately going for the pin Jeff Hardy climbed up to the top rope and went to deliver his patented swanton bomb, but this was where Sean O’Haire intervened. Seeing that his backup was going to be defeated Sean O’Haire leapt up onto the apron and threw Jeff Hardy off of the top rope, this left Brian Hebner no choice but to call for the disqualification. Winner by DQ at 10.37 – Jeff Hardy Rating: C+ After the match was ended Sean O’Haire chased Brian Hebner out of the ring, as Mark Jindrak got back up to his feet. Jeff was also back up at this point, but Sean O’Haire sent him straight back down to the mat with a superkick. Mark Jindrak, at the orders of Sean O’Haire got a steel chair and as Sean O’Haire held Jeff Hardy up in place Mark Jindrak delivered a viscous chair shot to the head of Jeff Hardy, busting him open . This assault never ended there though, after bringing Jeff Hardy to his feet once more Mark Jindrak connected with the mark of excellence on Jeff, then to add insult to injury Sean O’Haire then hit his own swanton bomb onto the prone Jeff Hardy. The damage now done Sean O’Haire, with Mark Jindrak in two left Jeff Hardy down and out in the middle of the ring. Rating: C- We go backstage where Josh Matthews is standing by with Chris Jericho. Josh Matthews: “I’m here with Chris Jericho, and I’ve only got one question. Why did you go overboard last week and attack Charlie Haas after he only said that you attacked Ken Shamrock?” Chris Jericho: “You want to know why I went overboard Josh? After he only said I attacked Ken Shamrock? How did you get a job Josh? Ever since GWF: No Remorse, all I have heard is why did you attack Ken Shamrock, why were you so scared to loose. I am sick and tired of being asked this stupid question, when I have said time and time again that I never attacked Ken Shamrock. I was no where near where Ken Shamrock was when he was attacked, I had no need to attack Ken Shamrock… what the h**l do you want?” Chris Jericho stops right in his tracks and speaks to someone off of camera. As the camera turns around we find Diamond Dallas Page listening to the interview. DDP: “Chris, Chris, Chris. I’ve got to say I’m very disappointed in you. I’ve been watching you for the whole of your career and from the very outset I was telling everyone that you were going to be huge. I was telling everyone that you were the future of this business, and you proved me right. You got to the promised land, you got to the top of the mountain, where only a few people ever get to. You had it all, and although I never agreed with some things that you did, I still respected you, I respected your talent, and I also respected that you were one of the few that would leave it all in the ring and never play games in the back …” Chris Jericho: “Are you going to go anywhere with this or are you just going to carry on and state the obvious to everyone?” DDP: “What I am saying Chris is that you had it, the respect of everyone, fans and people in the back. Now though, you’ve lost it all, and why? Because you took the cheap way out. By doing what you did you managed in one action to wipe out all of that respect, by attacking Ken Shamrock…” Just like last week Chris Jericho snapped and started to attack Diamond Dallas Page. The two brawled all around the backstage area and all of the road agents and referees that were in the back couldn’t separate the two. We go back to the ring as the two continue to brawl. Winner at 9.24 – CM Punk Rating: C+ We go backstage to find Frankie Kazarian walking down a corridor, he turns a corner and comes face to face with his opponent for GWF: Breakdown Jack Evans. Frankie Kazarian tires to side step him, but Jack Evans blocks his path. Frankie Kazarian just snorts at Jack Evans. Frankie Kazarian: “Is there something you want to say to me?” Jack Evans: “Last week you attacked me from behind, in two weeks you’ll have to fight me to my face. In two weeks we will find out who the future really is. ” Jack Evans then forces his way past Frankie Kazarian, but Kazarian just stands there. Frankie Kazarian: “I’m the future, I don’t need to wait two weeks to find out that.” Rating: F Back in the ring the GWF Tag Team Champions Paul London and Spanky are standing, all bandaged up from the attack two weeks ago at the hands of Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter. Paul London: “Two weeks ago me and Spanky here were attacked from behind by Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter and last week everyone heard them issue a challenge to us to face them in a match for our GWF Tag Team Championships. We have just come out here to formally accept that challenge. ” Spanky: “We are fighting champions, we will defend these championships anytime, anyplace. We will not loose them to two failed cheerleaders like Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter. ” Paul London: “See you two at GWF: Breakdown!” Rating: C We go back to Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcers table. Joey Styles: “That’s another huge match that has just been made for GWF: Breakdown, this is going to be huge Don.” Don Callis: “Huge Joey? This is going to be massive.” Joey Styles: “How come you’ve just perked up Don, you’ve been half dead all night.” Don Callis: “That’s the advantages to coffee Joey, I would suggest you try it but you too active as it is. Anyway, GWF: Breakdown is only two weeks away and I can’t wait.” Graphics then come up on the screen showing all of the schedualed matches to take place at GWF: Breakdown. The announcers briefly talk about each one as it comes up. Charlie Haas –vs- Chris Jericho – GWF World Championship Paul London & Spanky –vs- Ken Doane & Johnny Jeter – GWF Tag Team Championships Juventud Guerrera –vs- Jimmy Yang – GWF Cruiserweight Championship Jeff Hardy –vs- Sean O’Haire Jack Evans –vs- Frankie Kazarian Dona Callis: “Oh yes here we go!” Rating: C- Don Callis is now getting all excited as his favourite wrestler Chris Kanyon, along with his personal referee Rick Knoxx; make their way down to the ring. Chris Kanyon is basking in the reaction that he is receiving from all of his ‘fans’ here tonight, when in fact there are none. Chris Kanyon: “Last week, I was yet again proved right. I showed that Lance Storm is not better than me by beating him in the ring. The day after I beat Lance Storm my answer machine was full, letters came in the sack full and my website crashed due to the fact that the bandwidth was exceeded because of all the congratulations I received. In all of these messages one stood out and I would like to read the letter right now.” Rick Knoxx then hands Chris Kanyon a piece of paper, and Chris Kanyon reads it out in a girly voice. Chris Kanyon: “Dear Chris Kanyon, my name is Andy Hughes and I’m eight. I was watching GWF: Breakthrough last week to see you, you’re my favourite wrestler in the world, you’re the best. My Dad says you rubbish, but I told him how stupid he is, my Dad is always doing this. He even said that George Bush is an idiot. I was thinking, since you are the best and my Dad is stupid, could I come and live with you? You are the best wrestler, the better looking, brilliant, intelligent, clever…” At this point Chris Kanyon stops reading the letter and starts to cry, although it is so fake it’s unbelievable. Rick Knoxx grabs a tissue from his pocket and proceeds to wipe the tears out of Chris Kanyon’s eyes and telling him that it’s ok. After a while to gather himself Chris Kanyon, starts to speak again. Chris Kanyon: “I’m sorry, I can’t help it. I mean here is this eight-year-old kid who wants to leave his family to come and live with me because even he realises that I’m the best. There’s no way though I would ever think about having this kid coming to live with me because he would seriously cramp my style, but I’m touched that I’m doing some good. By showing kids that they’re parents are worthless is something that every kid has to realise some time or later, but for you Andy I’ll do something really special. Tonight I’m issuing another challenge to anyone in the back there to come out here and face me in the match, and Andy, I’m dedicating this victory to you.” Perry Saturn seems to be answering Chris Kanyon’s challenge as he comes down to the ring. Rick Knoxx signals for the bell to be rung as this match starts. Perry Saturn and Chris Kanyon fought a fairly even battle, with neither man really able to retain the advantage for long. Perry Saturn though did manage to nail the death valley driver on Chris Kanyon, Perry Saturn immediately went for the pin but when Rick Knoxx reached the count of two he stopped, and started to stare at the turnbuckle. Getting up Rick Knoxx went over to the turnbuckle and started to make sure that it was tied on correctly. Perry Saturn couldn’t believe it, and when he went over to question Rick Knoxx it gave Chris Kanyon a chance to recover. Perry Saturn’s back was turned against Chris Kanyon, so he was unable to see Chris Kanyon get back up to his feet and sneak up behind him. Chris Kanyon then spun Perry Saturn around, and connected with the faltliner. He went for the cover and Rick Knoxx delivered a lightening fast three count, giving Chris Kanyon another undeserved win. Winner at 11.54 - Chris Kanyon Rating: C+ We go backstage where Josh Matthews is standing with Charlie Haas, who has some bandages on his head after the attack by Chris Jericho last week. Josh Matthews: “Charlie Haas, last week you were put through a table by Chris Jericho because you said that he attacked Ken Shamrock at GWF: No Remorse. Now I’m sure that you saw what happened earlier when Diamond Dallas Page said the same thing, Chris Jericho attacked him too. Now tonight you have to face him and Jimmy Yang, but how do you feel facing someone who is in this sort of mood? How can you prepare for something like this?” Charlie Haas: “Josh, Chris Jericho had something to do with he attack on Ken Shamrock at GWF: No Remorse, everyone knows this, and if your honest you know it as well. So for Chris Jericho to say that the result of our match at GWF: Breakdown is a foregone conclusion is a complete and utter joke. How do I know that he won’t attack me before our match at GWF: Breakdown, he’s done it to Ken Shamrock, what is stopping him doing it to me? I have worked hard to get here Josh Matthews, it is my dream to be world champion and I will not let some jackass like Chris Jericho stop me. ” Rating: B- As Charlie Haas walks away CM Punk comes into shot… Josh Matthews: “Wait, CM Punk, can I just have a minute of your time…” Josh Matthews gets stopped in his tracks as CM Punk grabs him by the shirt collar and pins him against the wall. Josh Matthews is visibly scared, but then CM Punk just laughs at him and then lets Josh Matthews go and walks off. Rating: C We go back to Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcer’s Table. Joey Styles: “Just what is CM Punk’s problem?” Don Callis: “I think he’s around 5’9, weighs 142 pounds and has a really bad haircut, oh and answers to the name of Josh Matthews.” Joey Styles: “Very funny Don, Josh only wants to have an interview…” Don Callis; “That’s the whole point Joey, don’t you get it? CM Punk doesn’t want to be interviewed and the sooner Josh Matthews realises that the better.” Joey Styles: “Anyway, coming up next is the main event. Charlie Haas and the GWF Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera are teaming up to face their opponents at GWF: Breakdown Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang.” Don Callis: “Do you know Joey, I’ve just realised something.” Joey Styles: “I’m bursting with anticipation about what this is going to be Don.” Don Callis; “Do you realise that Chris Kanyon has not been in the main event yet…” Joey Styles: “Will you give it a rest about Chris Kanyon…” Joey Styles and Don Callis continue to argue about the greatness of Chris Kanyon as the four men make their way down to the ring to start this match. –vs- Charlie Haas & Juventud Guerrera –vs- Chris Jericho & Jimmy Yang Ref: Brian Hebner Charlie Haas came down to the ring first for this match, and got a good pop from the crowd too, Juventud Guerrera then made his entrance, or tried to at lease. Halfway down the ramp Juventud Guerrera was jumped from behind by Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang, the threw him into the ring, and as Charlie Haas tried to stop the assault and get in the ring, the ref signalled for the bell to start the match and then threw Charlie Haas out of the ring. This of course allowed Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang to continue their beat down on Juventud Guerrera. It wasn’t until Charlie Haas admitted defeat and got out of the ring that Brian Hebner was finally able to get order on the match. He got Chris Jericho out of the ring and this match was finally able to be fought properly. Juventud Guerrera was now helpless though, as the assault by Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang left him vulnerable. Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang were just toying with him, letting him get within inches of the tag from Charlie Haas and then dragging him back into the centre of the ring. Both Chris Jericho and Jimmy Yang were enjoying this, and were taking their time, but a mistimed missile dropkick from Jimmy Yang proved to be the turning point of this match. With Jimmy Yang down on the mat after missing his mark, the GWF Cruiserweight Champion slowly crawled over to his corner as did Jimmy Yang. As Juventud Guerrera was reaching out for Charlie Haas, Jimmy Yang was also reaching out for Chris Jericho, but Juventud Guerrera got there first and Charlie Haas was now legally in this match. Just as Charlie Haas was getting in the ring, Chris Jericho jumped off of the apron and started walking to the back, obviously not wanting any piece of Charlie Haas. Jimmy Yang was now left alone, and Charlie Haas made quick work of him, nailing a super kick for the three count and the win. The Wrestling Wire. 06/23/07 We’re here yet again with all of the news, rumours and gossip from the world of professional wrestling. In this week’s update we have an interesting tidbit about GWF, which wrestler has been released from what company and of course what shall be ever remembered as the death of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. ------------------- R.I.P. NWA World Heavyweight Championship Ric Flair, Sting, Harley Race, Christian Cage, Buddy Rogers, Lou Thesz, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat. What do all of these men have in common? Easy, and if you are a true wrestling fan then you will know also. All of these men, at some point or other, have had the honour of holding the NWA World Championship, one of the most prestigious belts in the history of wrestling, that was until TNA Slammiversary. As a new name has been added to this list of wrestling greats, and yes that does include Jeff Jarrett, the and as a result the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is reduced to yet another meaningless championship. TNA has shot itself in the foot with this and we here at the wrestling wire are currently contemplating boycotting this promotion as a result of this. Over reacting this is defiantly not, as for some reason or another the TNA booking team have decided to throw that entire legacy out of the window. One of the good things that TNA have managed to do is raise the profile of the NWA World heavyweight championship in the recent months, and it worked. This PPV offering from TNA was a really good one, up until the main event. We here at the wire were really surprised with the showing from TNA after all of the bad luck that they are having at the moment, we thought that this was the start of something new for the company but how wrong we all were. We now wish we never paid money to see this, and the end of the PPV will haunt us forever, as it will any wrestling fan. So I know it’s bad to talk about this PPV based on one match, but that is what we have done. We are saying that this last Sunday is one of the worst days ever for this business, as it closed with our new NWA World Heavyweight Champion Kip James. NWA World Heavyweight Championship June 27 1940 – June 10 2007. May you rest in peace. ------------------- GWF THINKING OF USING LARGER ARENAS? Our sources say that with the success of GWF: Breakthrough that GWF are currently thinking about hiring larger arenas for GWF: Breakthrough. So far the promotion has held all of their event, bar from GWF: No Remorse, in small arenas that hold a maximum of 1,000 people, and they have had to turn some people away from the arenas as there is no more room. Word has it that because of this GWF are thinking about holding the next months tapings in bigger venues to capatilise on this, but this may be just jumping the gun. While it is great for such a new promotion to be doing so well, it might be a little early for them to be thinking about larger arenas. Only time will tell of course, but it might be a little obnoxious for them to do this. ------------------- BROCK LESNER THE NEW IWGP HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION While the crowing of Kip James as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion is going to leave a scar on the face of wrestling forever, another champion was crowned over the weekend. Brock Lesner won the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship this past Sunday in Tokyo. After his disastrous run with the championship in late 2005, and being stripped of the championship, it is great that the two parties have seemed to have settled their differences. At least we hope so anyway, with his no complete clause in America still in effect till 2008 Japan is his only real option to continue wrestling. As long as Brock Lesner keeps his attitude in line then he could be huge in Japan. ------------------- DANIEL PUDER RELEASED FROM GWF After the release of The Backseat Men last week by GWF it would have seemed to most people that they take a tough stance on any rule breaking, that is at least apart from Daniel Puder. Puder was stopped in Missouri for driving erratically, and then the police then found some drugs in his car. Upon hearing this Daniel Puder was immediately fired from GWF, and will likely never be in the company again. ------------------- Ratings Here are the ratings for this weeks wrestling shows.
GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW 06/23/07 THE LAST SAY This GWF: Breakthrough will be the last time that GWF is without a GWF World Champion, as this Sunday the GWF World Championship Tournament draws to a close as Charlie Haas and Chris Jericho will fight it out for the GWF World Championship. Last week Chris Jericho ran from the ring to save facing Charlie Haas in the tag team match, leaving his tag partner Jimmy Yang in the process. This week Charlie Haas will face Marcus Bagwell in the main event, but he’ll have to look over his shoulder all night in case of an attack by Chris Jericho. Last week we witnessed a brutal two on one attack by Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak on Jeff Hardy. What shape is Jeff Hardy in, and will he make it to GWF: Breakdown? Only one thing is sure, Jeff Hardy will be out for revenge. Also last week Paul London & Spanky accepted the challenge that was laid down by Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter to face them in a match at GWF: Breakdown. This week Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter will be in action for the first time in GWF, when they face Natural Selection in a tag team bout. Continually top of the card in TNA, he fails to notice that one of the main reasons that TNA hasn’t expanded is because of him. Jeff Jarrett is an OK wrestler at best, and is not a draw. It seems to us that the reason that TNA was created was so Jeff Jarrett could have a job. Throughout his career he’s blackmailed the WWE by threatening to turn up in WCW with the Intercontinental Championship, burning his bridges as he did so. What else is there to say, oh we were going to give him a higher grade, but after the Kip James title win, which Jeff Jarrett is on the booking team that decided this, he gets a grade that fits. Chris Jericho: “Now I know a lot of people here dislike me, I can understand that. After all you’re only jealous of my greatness, but I didn’t take you for idiots. OK fine, I’ll admit it, I thought a lot of you were idiots, but some I thought maybe, possibly some of you might have some intellect. But sadly I was wrong, yes because every single person here are idiots, and why because you all think that I attacked Ken Shamrock at GWF: No Remorse. Now I’m getting p****d off, I’m sick and tired of saying this again and again and again and again and again. Now I want you all to listen closely, I want all the moms and dads to stop b******g, I want all the kids to stop snivelling and to stop wiping their filthy faces on their shirt sleeves and I want all the grandmas and granddads to dust off their hearing aides and listen because I’m saying this for the last time. I did not attack Ken Shamrock. I had nothing to prove, I could have beat Ken Shamrock blindfolded. But do you want to know the most pathetic part of this whole thing is though? I actually care. I actually care about this, I actually care that you all think that I’m not good enough, that you think I can’t win on my own, how idiotic is that? To care about what some inbreeding, live in trailer park trash, beer swilling, wife beating piece of s**t thinks about me. Have you people forgotten who I am? How great I am? I’m Chris Jericho baby, I’m the living legend, the king of the world, the never to be duplicated and future GWF World Champion. I don’t need to attack people from behind to win, because I’m going to win that match, and to prove to all of you ungrateful a**clowns that I will win the match at GWF: Breakdown against Charlie Haas and become your first ever GWF World Champion I will leave the arena right now. Yes right this very moment, I’ve got my stretch limo to take me out of this hole and away from this cesspit of a town, to prove to you and to Charlie Haas that I will not lay a hand on him till GWF: Breakdown. I want you to know Charlie Haas, and all want all of you peons in the crowd tonight to know as well, that at GWF: Breakdown Charlie Haas you’re going to loose, and you’re going to have no excuse for it. You going to be tapping out to the walls of Jericho as you get an overdose of vitamin C, but before you loose consciousness Charlie Haas you’re going to know that you’re just not good enough, that you don’t have what it takes to beat me, because you’re just that pathetic.” With that Chris Jericho throws the mic down and exits the ring, he walks back up the ramp, and as the camera follows him into the parking lot, where true to his word is a white stretch limo. Chris Jericho gets into the limo and it drives out of the parking lot and out of sight. For most of the match though Joey Styles and Don Callis talk about Chris Jericho leaving the arena. The finish to the match came when James Gibson managed to connect with the tiger bomb for the three count and the win. Winner at 9.07 – James Gibson Rating: B Backstage we find Josh Matthews. Josh Matthews: “I’m here with Sean…Oh sorry Mr O’Haire and his backup Mark Jindrak. Now last week you challenged Jeff Hardy to face Mark Jindrak in a match, which he did, but you interfered in that match and brutally attacked Jeff Hardy. Now you have given your word that Mark Jindrak would not interfere in your match against Jeff Hardy this Sunday at GWF: Breakdown, but how can we be expected to believe that now…” Sean O’Haire: “I’m not expecting you to understand, believe or comprehend anything Josh. Remember I have given my word that Mark Jindrak will not interfere in my match at GWF: Breakdown, but did you hear me say anything about me interfering in that match last week?” Josh Matthews: “No, but…” Sean O’Haire: “That’s right, and it’s because I never said anything about interfering in that match now did I Josh? So my word at GWF: Breakdown is not in question here, what is though is whether Jeff Hardy is fit enough to compete our match…” Sean O’Haire is interrupted as Mark Jindrak is sent to the ground by a chair shot, delivered by Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy then goes after Sean O’Haire, but he runs away and Jeff pursues. Josh Matthews: “Well I guess the interview's over so it’s back to you at ringside.” Rating: C –vs.- Natural Selection –vs.- Ken Doane & Johnny Jeter Ref: Brian Hebner We go back to the ring for the debut match of Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter here in GWF, and what an impressive outing this was. This was so unlike any match that we had seen from these two before in that place that we won’t mention. It was all business here for Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter, obviously trying to send a message the GWF Tag Team Champions Paul London and Spanky that they mean business at GWF: Breakdown as well. Natural Selection really stood no chance in this match, as it was obvious from the very beginning who was going to win this match. Johnny Jeter put this one away as he nailed Andy Douglas with an absolutely viscous snap DDT on Andy Douglas for the three count. Winners as 11.34 - Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter Rating: C+ Instead of Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter’s music hitting though some cheerleading music hits and the tag team champions, Paul London and Spanky, come out jumping around, pompoms in hand, Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter are irate at this though, but the tag team champions take no notice of this. Paul London & Spanky stand halfway up the ramp, with their hands on their hips while the crowd start to laugh. Paul London: “Now we’re here to get you all in the spirit.” Spanky: “That’s right Paul, and to get you into the spirit we’ve got an extra special cheer for you all here tonight. Isn’t that just great?” Paul London: “So great Spanky, you guys have really hit the jackpot with this, ready Spanky?” Spanky: “Ready Paul.” Paul London: “Ready OK. We’re here today to kick some butt.” Spanky: “So Doane and Jeter you’re outta luck.” Paul London: “Because male cheerleaders just plain suck.” Spanky: “And you’re not going to amount to…” Paul London: ”Whoa spanks you can’t say that.” Spanky: “Ohh that’s right Paulie, because that doesn’t get people into the right spirit…” Spanky is cut off as Ken Doane has now grabbed a mic. Ken Doane: “You think this is funny? You think that is some sort of joke to us? Let me tell you something, this Sunday at GWF: Breakdown, you’re not going to have much to laugh about because when we beat you and take your GWF Tag Team Championships you won’t have anything to laugh about. ” Rating: B We go backstage to rejoin Josh Matthews who’s now with Frankie Kazarian. Josh Matthews: “Now Frankie…” Frankie Kazarain: “Now I’m going to stop you right there Josh. I saw you interviewing Sean O’Haire before and how you treated him and I demand that I be treated with the same respect. So from now on you will address me as Mr Kazarian, the future of wrestling.” Josh Matthews: “Why?” Frankie Kazarian: “Why Josh? Because from day one in this company you have all disrespected me. I’m the future of this business, but I’ve treated like a piece of s**t. You and Eric Bischoff are both the same, you fail to notice me. So that’s why I attacked Jack Evans three weeks ago, and that’s why I’ll beat him this Sunday at GWF: Breakdown, because I’m the future…you know what? Forget it, you’re just not worth it. The only reason you’re here is because you got fired from your last job, because you’re not good enough. I’m outta here.” Frankie Kazarian shoves the mic into Josh Matthews’s chest and walks off. Rating: C Josh Matthews: “Well I guess it’s back to you at ringside…” CM Punk then comes into shot, but when he sees Josh Matthews he just turns around and walks back in the same direction but Josh Matthews is right behind him. Josh Matthews: “Wait CM Punk can I just get your thoughts on your match later tonight against Diamond Dallas Page?” In somewhat of a shock CM Punk stops in the corridor and walks back to where Josh Matthews is standing. Josh, for his part is looking quite excited that he’s finally getting an interview with CM Punk, but before he can ask a question CM Punk slaps Josh Matthews across the face so hard that he falls to the floor. CM Punk then walks away as we go to another part of the backstage area. Rating: C Don Callis: “Will you get over it Joey, I got to speak first there’s no need to get so upset over it.” Joey Styles: “I’m not upset Don, I couldn’t care less, will you stop going on about it.” Don Callis: “Stop trying to hide it Joey, but enough about him because tomorrow we’re holding our second ever PPV, GWF: Breakdown.” Graphics then flash up on the screen with all of the matches that will take place. GWF: Breakdown Charlie Haas –vs- Chris Jericho – GWF World Championship Juventud Guerrera –vs- Jimmy Yang – GWF Cruiserweight Championship Paul London & Spanky –vs- Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter – GWF Tag Team Championships Jeff Hardy –vs- Sean O’Haire Jack Evans –vs- Frankie Kazarian Joey Styles: “But back to tonight, our next match…” Rating: C Before our next match can begin though Eric Bischoff comes out on the stage. Eric Bischoff: “Now I don’t want to take up to much time as I know our next match is coming up, but I’ve just gotten off of the phone with Ken Shamrock and he’s been released from the hospital, and he said that he will be at GWF: Breakdown this Sunday. He’s also told me that he knows exactly who attacked him at GWF: No Remorse and that he will make them pay for attacking him.” Rating: B+ –vs.- Diamond Dallas Page –vs.- CM Punk Ref: Charles Robinson CM Punk came down to this match meaning business, obviously angry at the fact the Josh Matthews won’t leave him alone. As soon Diamond Dallas Page entered the ring he was blindsided by CM Punk, and started this match off on the wrong foot. CM Punk managed to retain the advantage in this match for quite a while. That was until a mistimed missile dropkick attempt that Diamond Dallas Page managed to dodge. With the both men on the mat it allowed Page to regain his breath, and was up on his feet before CM Punk. The ring veteran was now in control of the match, and even managed to hit the Diamond Cutter, but when he went for the cover CM Punk was too near the ropes, and got his foot on the bottom rope. Diamond Dallas Page never realized this though and thought he had won the match. When the ref told him otherwise, and when he went to get CM Punk back up, CM Punk successfully locked in the straight edge submission hold on DDP. DDP tried to fight of the move, but to no avail, he submitted and CM Punk got a massive victory over the former world champion. Winner at 12.53 – CM Punk Rating: B- As CM Punk walks back up the ramp, Eric Bischoff comes back on the stage with a mic in hand. Eric Bischoff: “CM Punk, I’ve just had a very angry person in my office who wants to face you in a match. Even though I’ve advised him against this match, he was adamant about facing you. So I’d like to introduce you to the man that you will face at GWF: Breakdown, Josh Matthews.” From behind him steps Josh Matthews. CM Punk just starts to laugh at him as we go back to Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcer’s table. Rating: B- Don Callis; “Is Josh Matthews mad Joey, or does he have a death wish? Oh will you stop sulking about me speaking first.” Joey Styles: “Whatever, but it’s now time for our main event…wait a minute Don. Is this why you’re in such a weird mood here tonight? It’s because Chris Kanyon’s not here tonight…” Don Callis: “You have no idea what’s going on do you Joey, you have no idea what’s going on in the company that you work for. God, they better fire you for this. The reason that Chris Kanyon isn’t here tonight is that he’s getting prepared for GWF: Breakdown.” Joey Styles: “But Chris Kanyon doesn’t even have a match scheduled for GWF: Breakdown…” Don Callis: “How incompetent are you Joey? Chris Kanyon is getting ready to issue another ‘Who Betta Than Kanyon?’ challenge, and is working on some new moves to make sure his fans don’t get bored. Isn’t that just inspiring Joey?” Joey Styles: “Yeah sure, but back to tonight it’s time for our main event…” Don Callis: “We’re going have to turn your headset off as our main event is starting.” Rating: C –vs.- Charlie Haas –vs- Marcus Bagwell Ref: Brian Hebner Now let’s figure this our shall we, we have one main who’s going to be in the GWF World Championship match at GWF: Breakthrough and the other man doesn’t even have a match, so guess whose going to win? Yup that’s right, Charlie Haas made quick work of Marcus Bagwell and as a result this was actually the shortest match of the night. Charlie Haas connected with a super kick to the jaw of Marcus Bagwell for the win. Winner at 8.22 – Charlie Haas Rating: B- Before Charlie Haas can celebrate the voice of Chris Jericho echoes through the arena, and then his face appears on the big screen. His limo is nowhere in sight and he seems to be standing in a field somewhere. Chris Jericho: “Do you want me to congratulate you Charlie? Am I supposed to be impressed with this? Am I supposed to be scarred of you now that you’ve won a match. You see Charlie Haas, nothing like that affects me, because I know that the real way to get to someone before a match is to get inside their head, and Charlie Haas I’m a master at that sort of thing. You see I didn’t get to where I am, a former world champion, by just winning matches, no I knew how to manipulate people. I find out what will hurt them the most, I find out their weak spot Charlie and I expose it. Your weak spot was real easy to find. It’s almost as if you wear your heart on your sleeve. ” At this point a look of recognition registers on the face of Charlie Haas, as he looks down at his wrist where he stares at one word written on his tape, Russ. Chris Jericho: “I knew that you we my biggest obstacle in this whole tournament, and not Ken Shamrock, that’s why I left him alone but you, no you need a little more consideration, and a little more scouting. Now for those of you who don’t know Charlie Haas has a brother, and I’m with him right now.” The camera pans out and we now get a better look at where he is, he’s in a graveyard and is standing next to a gravestone. Chris Jericho: “Say hello to your brother Russ…” Charlie Haas: “Chris, don’t. Whatever it is you’re going to do don’t it’s not worth it…” Chris Jericho: “Isn’t it Charlie? You’ve just heard me say that I will do anything, manipulate anything to get what I want and what I want most is the GWF World Championship. So you have a choice, are you going to let me have it, or not.” Charlie Haas: “Let’s leave it in the ring Chris…” Chris Jericho: “That’s the wrong answer Charlie, I’m going to ask you one more time. Are you going to let me have what I want?” Charlie Haas: “You know I can’t Chris…” Chris Jericho: “Well then, I have no other choice. This is why I’m going to win our match Charlie, because I will do anything and everything to get the job done and you won’t. Everyone will remember why I’m so great this Sunday at GWF: Breakdown, and here’s why.” Chris Jericho then grabs a sledgehammer from behind the gravestone, raises it above his head, looks right at the camera and screams. Chris Jericho: “I’m the king of the world Charlie Haas, the living legend, the never to be duplicated Chris Jericho.” With that he brings the sledgehammer down onto the gravestone of Russ Haas, smashing it into pieces. Back in the ring Charlie Haas falls down to his knees and holds his head in his hands. The crowd are also booing like made at the actions of Chris Jericho Chris Jericho: “And I’m your future GWF World Champion. See you at GWF: Breakdown Charlie.” Rating: B+ The final GWF: Breakthrough before GWF: Breakdown fades to black with the image of Russ Hass’s gravestone smashed to pieces.
