GWF: Fight To The Death Preview
GWF: Fight To The Death Preview –vs.- Lance Storm –vs.- CM Punk In a match that has just been announced Lance Storm has asked for a rematch against CM Punk, a match that Eric Bischoff has agreed to. Can Lance Storm redeem himself and score the win, or can CM Punk make in two wins in a row? –vs.- Jeff Hardy –vs.- Sean O’Haire Cage Match Last month at GWF: Breakdown Sean O’Haire had given his word that there would be no interference in their match, only for Mark Jindrak to interfere and help Sean O’Haire get the win. After beating both Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak in a handicap match two weeks ago, Eric Bischoff made this match a cage match to make sure that these two would have a fair fight with no interference. However with two men who obviously hate each other, will the cage be strong enough to hold these two? –vs.- Ken Shamrock –vs.- Chris Kanyon At GWF: No Remorse Ken Shamrock was attacked from behind, but we didn’t know who had attacked him. At GWF: Breakdown we found out, the man was Chris Kanyon who said that Ken Shamrock was not better than him, and didn’t deserve a spot in the GWF World Championship Tournament. At GWF: Fight To The Death we will find out who is the better man. –vs.- Paul London & Spanky© –vs.- Ken Doane & Johnny Jeter GWF Tag Team Championships Last month many people had said that it was luck that Paul London and Spanky walked out of their match with the GWF Tag Team Championships. Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter have asked for a rematch, and Paul London and Spanky have accepted their challenge. Will Paul London and Spanky prove that it wasn’t luck that made them hold onto the GWF Tag Team Championships or will Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter prove that they are not jokes. –vs.- Juventud Guerrera© -vs.- Frankie Kazarian GWF Cruiserweight Championship After winning the battle of the future last month at GWF: Breakdown, Frankie Kazarian thought that he would get a GWF Cruiserweight Championship shot, Eric Bischoff didn’t think so though. After failing to change Bischoff’s mind, Frankie Kazarian interfered in all of Juventud Guerrera’s matches, forcing Eric Bischoff to act. He signed this match, but on one condition. This is Frankie Kazarian’s only shot at the GWF Cruiserweight Championship, if he doesn’t win this match, he won’t get another shot. –vs.- Bill Goldberg –vs.- Chris Jericho© GWF World Championship Looser Leaves Town Match Three week’s ago, on Chris Jericho appreciation night, Chris Jericho attacked Bill Goldberg after his match with Chris Kanyon. The next week Chris Jericho declared that GWF was his, and it wasn’t big enough for the both of them. The two men would fight backstage all through GWF: Breakthrough two weeks ago. This led to GWF president Eric Bischoff agreeing with Chris Jericho’s statement, GWF was not big enough for the both of them, so he made this match. Whoever wins this match will be GWF World Champion, whoever looses will be gone from GWF forever. It brings new meaning to the phrase all or nothing. Can Chris Jericho prove that Bill Goldberg is all hype and gain the bragging right of sending Bill Goldberg out of GWF, or will Bill Goldberg prove that Chris Jericho really is next. GWF: Fight To The Death is this Sunday only on PPV.
Credit: GWF.com --------------------- OK predicition contest time. The point system is just the same as before. There’s one point available for correctly guessing the winner of a non title match, if you correctly guess the winner of a title match then you’re awarded two points instead of one. There’s another three points available for correctly answering questions 1 and 2, but a massive five points if you correctly guess the answer to question 3. So if that makes sense there’s twenty points available, the person who has the most points gets to name GWF’s next PPV. OK so here are the three questions. 1 – Which match will be first? 2 – Will there be an extra match added 3 – What will the finish to the main event be? Either pinfall, submission, interference or disqualification? ---------------------
I'm absolutely loving the Kanyon push. Although, it took a bit of a bump with the Goldberg loss, but still entertaining nonetheless. And how about that debut for Marc Mero? WTF? And more to the point, why in the world was he even signed? His best assets are running around with Brock Lesnar these days! Kip James as NWA champ? That's almost the equivalent of having David Arquette as champ. Kudos to you for the Callis/Styles exchanges. It brings back very good memories. I don't know about anyone else, but definitely keep pushing Sean O'Haire. I think WWE releasing him IRL was one of their (out of an abundance of them) bigger mistakes. He could've been huge there and looks like he's going to be huge for you.
The Callis/Styles exchanges are really fun actually, and you’re right that it does bring back good some good memories. About the Marc Mero hiring, it is going somewhere, as for his assets, keep watching this space;) You’re right about the Kip James thing as well, it would never happen in real life but in this game it always seems to happen, just wait to see who he drops it to. If you thought it couldn’t get any worse well, you were wrong. So very, very wrong:eek: . Anyway cheer’s for the reply, it’s really appreciated.
I liked the Spanky/London segment, 'twas kind of funny.
Looking back at some of their RoH work, Paul London and Spanky are actually pretty charismatic. Although that segment was horrible to write, anyway cheers for your continued support during this:D .

Storm vs CM Punk - As much as I like Storm, I see big things starting to come Punk's way, starting with this win J. Hardy vs O'Haire - Keep the push going for O'Haire, I could care less about Jeff. Shamrock vs Kanyon - Kanyon's been fun, but I expect Shamrock to get his "official" vengeance for being blindsided at No Remorse. London/Spanky vs Doane/Jeter - Maybe it's me, but I don't see why everyone likes London/Spanky. Give this one to the former cheerleaders Juventud vs Kazarian - The future starts now, just not with the belt. Goldberg vs Jericho - I think Goldberg's short term contract has come to an end. 1. Cruiserweight title match gets the show started off hot 2. Yes an extra match will be added 3. Pinfall

Predictions Here's mine: Lance Storm over CM punk Hardy over O'Haire Shamrock over Kanyon by submission -Ankle lock London and Kendrick over those other doofs Guerrerra over kazarian Jericho over Goldberg-By submission. (Goldberg asked for too much money so he's only on the roster for a few appearances-He's the one leaving) 1. Lance v. Cm 2. Yeah why not round out the card, maybe Mero in a match? lol he's too old to wrestle...... 3. Jericho by submission-keeping with the idea that goldberg = Lots of $$$$ spent so he's oly on short term.....

He gets into the ring, and poses for the crowd. Juventud Guerrera's music kick in, and the crowd cheers for the GWF Cruiserweight Champion as he makes his way down to the ring. Juventud Guerrera slides into the ring, and Frankie Kazarian immediately attacks, looking to gain the early advantage in this match. Taken by surprise Juventud Guerrera was on the loosing foot in the beginning of this match, and was being dominated by Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian in turn thought that the match was his and started to get a little too overconfident. He starts to shout at the crowd that 'the future is here', this turned out to be a costly mistake as it allowed Juventud Guerrera to get some much needed rest and when Frankie Kazarian's attention was where it was supposed to be it turned out to be too late. Juventud Guerrera sprung into action, quite literally in fact, much to the shock of Frankie Kazarian. It was now Kazarian's turn to be on the loosing foot in this match, but he wasn't about to give up. After dodging a standing dropkick from Juventud Guerrera, Frankie Kazarian poked him in the eye. He then rolled up Juventud Guerrera, the ref went down for the count, but didn't see Frankie Kazarian put his feet on the bottom rope for leverage, so he counted the three which means that we have a new GWF Cruiserweight Champion. Frankie Kazarian quickly got out of the ring, and after grabbing the GWF Cruiserweight Championship belt ran back up the ramp before the decision could be reversed. We go backstage as Juventud Guerrera protests his loss to Brian Hebner. Winner, by pinfall, and NEW GWF Cruiserweight Champion at 14.03 - Frankie Kazarian Rating: B- We go to Josh Matthews, who is standing with the GWF World Champion Chris Jericho Josh Matthews: "I'm here with the GWF World Champion Chris Jericho, and Chris I've got to ask. How do you feel, considering that this may be your last night here in GWF if you loose your upcoming match with Bill Goldberg." Chris Jericho: "I'm not going to loose tonight Josh, I'm the superior wrestler and the superior athlete. What has Bill Goldberg got huh? Nothing, he's all hype. If he didn't have the look, if he didn't have that streak Bill Goldberg would be flipping burgers some place. Everyone is saying that I should be scared of Bill Goldberg, scared for my job but why? I've got nothing to fear Josh…" Josh Matthews: "Then why did you leave the ring during your tag team when Chris Kanyon was trying to tag you in?" Chris Jericho: "Excuse me?" Josh Matthews: "Last night at GWF: Breakthrough it was you and Chris Kanyon against Bill Goldberg and Ken Shamrock. When Bill Goldberg was in the ring Chris Kanyon tried to tag you in but you jumped off of the apron and went back up the ramp, you seemed to be afraid then…" Chris Jericho: "Do you remember what I did to you a few weeks ago?" Josh Matthews: "Yes…" Chris Jericho: "Do you want that to happen again?" Josh Matthews: "No…" Chris Jericho: "Then shut the hell up. I'm the GWF World Champion, the king of the world, the living legend, never to be duplicated, Charlie Haas ankle breaker and one sexy beast Chris Jericho. I'm afraid of no one let alone some freak of nature like Bill Goldberg. The reason I left the ring Josh during that tag match was a calculated decision. While Bill Goldberg had to wrestle a match, I decided to conserve my energy and all of my strength for tonight. This has left Bill Goldberg a little weaker, and we all know that I like to go for the weak spot. So tonight when I shatter the myth that Bill Goldberg is a wrestler, he will be forced to leave this company and will go back to making c***py straight to video movies, while I will be left standing your GWF World Champion" Chris Jericho then leaves the interviewing area as we go back to the ring. Rating: B+ -vs.- Marc Mero -vs.- James Gibson Ref: Charles Robinson When we get back to the ring James Gibson is already standing in the ring as Marc Mero makes his way down to the ring to no response. As Marc Mero walks around the ring, his attention is attracted by a male fan in the front row that is holding up a sign that says 'MARC MERO RULES'. Marc Mero seems quite perplexed by this, but the fan is just standing in awe, and then starts to jump up and down in front of him. Marc Mero gets in the ring and this match gets underway. The match itself is the shortest match of the night, and a good job too. Marc Mero lasted a little longer than his other matches in GWF, but the real story here was the fan in the front row. Every time Marc Mero landed a move he would jump up and down, shouting 'you rule, you rule.' Every time James Gibson connected with a move though he would simultaneously shout abuse at Gibson while shouting support to Mark Mero. Saying that Mero could wipe the floor with Gibson. This proved to be not the case however as James Gibson made the pin in seven minutes. Winner, by pinfall, at 7.26 - James Gibson Rating: C This left the fan in the front row very deflated, and when Marc Mero slid out of the ring to go back up the ramp the fan snapped. The fan jumped over the guardrail and dived at Marc Mero, he started to lay rights and lefts into the temple. Taken by surprise Marc Mero was taken down quite easily, and as security poured from out the back the fan was still laying in to Marc Mero. The security team manages to drag the fan off of Marc and start to take him to the nearest exit. The fan himself just starts to shout at Marc Mero, 'What happened to you, you suck now.' Rating: F Backstage we find the new GWF Cruiserweight Champion Frankie Kazarian in the GWF's president's office. Eric Bischoff: "What? Do you want me to congratulate you?" Frankie Kazarian: "No, I just came here to tell you that the future is here, and it looks good." Frankie Kazarian leaves the office as man part of the security team comes in. Man: "That fan has been ejected from the arena." Eric Bischoff: "Good, he's now banned from every GWF event, if he wants to attack our wrestlers here he's going to pay the price for it." Rating: C- We head back to the announcer's table. Joey Styles: "What happened to that fan to make him snap like that?" Don Callis: "I don't know, but he's obviously a little bit coo-coo if you know what I mean." Joey Styles: "Anyway coming up next is the first ever cage match here in GWF as Jeff Hardy takes on Sean O'Haire." Don Callis: "Now this isn't like some other companies Joey where you can just strut out of the door to win. No the only way to win this match is to climb up and over the cage until your feet hit the floor. No pin falls, no submission, no disqualification. Anything goes." Joey Styles: "The question is though Don, can Sean O'Haire win without his 'backup'?" Rating: C A video is played to show all of the event leading up to this match. It goes all the way back to the GWF World Championship Tournament first round match between Jeff Hardy and Sean O'Haire, when Mark Jindrak interfered. It ends with the finish of the handicap match two weeks ago on GWF: Breakthrough and the sound of Eric Bischoff's voice saying that this match would be a cage match. Rating: C- -vs.- Jeff Hardy -vs.- Sean O'HaireCage Match Ref: Brian Hebner Before the two men in this match make their entrances the cage lowers down to the ring. The cage itself is around the same size of the WWE's, but instead of being made of some mesh, it's actually made of steel bars crossed diagonally. As soon as the cage is safely attached to the ring Sean O'Haire makes his entrance without Mark Jindrak in tow. He seems a little apprehensive about entering the cage, but he finally does. While in the ring waiting for Jeff, Sean O'Haire paces in the ring, and occasionally shakes to cage to see how strong it is. Jeff Hardy then makes his way down to the ring, to some cheers from the crowd. Jeff Hardy too seems to be a little afraid of the cage, but he gets in the ring and quickly dives for Sean O'Haire. Brian Hebner stays on the outside, he's only there to see whose feet touch the floor first. Hebner locks the door of the cage and signals for the bell to be rung and this match is officially underway. Jeff Hardy immediately uses the cage as a weapon; he repeatedly throws Sean O'Haire into the steel structure busting him open in the opening moments of this match. Sean O'Haire battles back though, and it's now Jeff Hardy's turn to taste steel as he too is thrown repeatedly into the cage, causing Jeff Hardy too to wear a crimson mask. Both men are busted open early within this match, and neither man was able to get a significant advantage in it. Jeff Hardy had just connected with the twist of fate and had started to climb the cage but Sean O'Haire quickly came to his senses and got back to his feet and dragged Jeff Hardy off of the cage. He then nailed Jeff Hardy with the prophecy and had started to climb the cage. He got a little bit further up than Jeff had done, but Jeff then got back to his feet, and in the position that Sean O'Haire was in, powerbombed Sean O'Haire from the side of the cage to the mat below. Climbing up to the top turnbuckle he flew off with a perfect swanton bomb and looked to have this match won. However the prophecy and the blood loss that Jeff Hardy had sustained, he was unable to capitalize on this. Sean O'Haire too was just lying there motionless, when Mark Jindrak came running through the crowd. Mark Jindrak, unseen by Brian Hebner, threw the timekeeper out of the way and grabbed his chair. He then threw it over the top of the cage and into the ring. Brian Hebner now though had seen what Mark Jindrak had done and ejected him from the ringside area. Mark Jindrak went quite calmly, as the two men in the ring slowly got back to their feet. Jeff Hardy seemed to be unaware of what had happened, but Sean O'Haire had seen the steel chair. He grabbed the chair and as Jeff Hardy turned around to face him, Sean O'Haire plastered him with a chair shot across his head. Jeff Hardy slumped back down to the mat, as Sean O'Haire slowly started to climb up the cage. He managed to position himself into a sitting position at the top of the cage, but blood was now pouring out of the gash on his forehead. He seemed to be catching his breath, but Jeff Hardy started to stir in the ring, and looking up he saw Sean O'Haire at the top of the cage. Jeff Hardy crawled over to the cage structure and then started to climb up to join Sean O'Haire, who was still sitting there. O'Haire didn't seem to be aware of Jeff Hardy until he was nearly at the top, and he sprung into life. Using his head start he started to climb down the other side of the cage, but now Jeff Hardy was at the top of the cage. Jeff grabbed a handful of Sean O'Haire's hair and dragged him back up to the top of the cage. The two men started to trade punches in the sitting position at the top of the cage, but neither man seemed to be getting the advantage. Jeff Hardy then delivered a punch that seemed to faze Sean O'Haire, and with the help of a cable above him, pulled himself up to a standing position. Still hanging onto the cable he then started to kick Sean O'Haire in the head repeatedly. O'Haire started to reel, and again with the help of the cable above him Jeff Hardy delivered a sort of dropkick to the face of Sean O'Haire. This proved to be all too much and Sean O'Haire dropped from the top of the cage to the mat below, earning a 'holy s**t' chant from the crowd. Jeff Hardy though started to climb down the cage but Jeff seemed to loose all energy at half way down and just dropped to the floor below. Brian Hebner signalled for the bell to be rung, and started to unlock the door to check on the status of Sean O'Haire. We once again go to the backstage area. Winner, by cage escape, at 17.23- Jeff Hardy Rating: C+ We’re again with Josh Matthews, who is now with CM Punk, but before Josh can speak CM Punk cuts in. CM Punk: “You see Josh, it’s just like I said last night on GWF: Breakthrough, these people take pleasure in other people’s blood, in other people’s pain. Instead of booing Jeff Hardy for his sick actions just now instead they cheer him and chant ‘holy s**t.’ These people encourage actions taken by people like Jeff Hardy, instead of deploring them like they should. Sean O’Haire’s life could have been lost here because of Jeff Hardy and his actions, his risk taking. Actually now that I think about it, why wouldn’t these idiots cheer Jeff Hardy? I mean he’s just like them; he’s abused his body. He the epitome of everything that I am not, that I hate. He’s a risk taker, undisciplined and pumps his body with chemicals. But that’s beside the point because I’m sure Josh you were just about to ask me about my match here tonight against Lance Storm. I’ve beaten Lance Storm once, and I’ll beat him again tonight. Do you want to know why? Because I’m straight edge, that means that I’m better than Lance Storm.” We go back to the ring for our next match. Unlike their match at GWF: Breakdown Paul London and Spanky stay in control for most of this match, and don’t allow Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter to single any one of them out. Because of this Paul London and Spanky are able to out wrestle their opponents, this ultimately led to Spanky hitting the sliced bread #2 on Ken Doane, and while Paul London kick Johnny Jeter off of the apron, Charles Robinson counted the three, meaning Paul London and Spanky retain their championships. Winners, by pinfall, at 12.10 and still GWF Tag Team Champions – Paul London & Spanky Rating: B We join Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcers table. The crowd boo him as he gets in the ring, but he just acts like their cheering him and starts to thank them for their support. The crowd do then cheer as Ken Shamrock comes down the ramp, as focus and determined as ever. He gets in the ring, and he doesn’t even wait for the bell to be rung. Ken Shamrock immediately targets the ankle of Chris Kanyon and tried to get the ankle lock obviously wanting to break Chris Kanyon’s ankle sooner rather than later. Chris Kanyon manages to avoid this and slides to the outside of the ring, to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Chris Kanyon stays on the outside, tapping his head to say that he’s more intelligent than Ken Shamrock. Brian Hebner has no choice but to start a ten count, and it’s not until the count of nine that Chris Kanyon gets back in the ring. Ken Shamrock goes straight for the ankle lock yet again, but Chris Kanyon blocks this and gets out of the ring once again. The crowd are now booing like h*ll, but now Chris Kanyon just shrugs it all off and starts to shout ‘the h*ll with this’ and starts to walk up the ramp, obviously not wanting any part of his opponent. Ken Shamrock on the other hand has had enough and slides out of the ring, breaking the ten count as he does, and runs up the ramp after Chris Kanyon, who doesn’t know this until it’s too late. Ken Shamrock forces Chris Kanyon back to the ring and smashes him head first into the ring post. Shamrock then rolls Chris Kanyon into the ring, and quickly gets in after him. Chris Kanyon, now down, tries to beg off and starts to back into the corner. He says that they can work it out, but Ken Shamrock is not having any of it. Shamrock unleashes a brutal barrage of right and lefts on Chris Kanyon and from this point on Ken Shamrock is in complete control. Ken Shamrock is unmerciful in his attack on Chris Kanyon; he even has to be restrained by Brian Hebner on a number of occasions. Each time Ken Shamrock just pushes him out of the way and goes straight back to attacking Kanyon. With enough damage done, Ken Shamrock looks to make good on his vow and applies the ankle lock on Chris Kanyon, much to the crowd’s delight. With the amount Chris Kanyon had been through, he had no hope of trying to escape the move. He tried in vain to reach the ropes, but Ken Shamrock just dragged him back to the middle of the ring. With no hope, Chris Kanyon raises his hand to tap, but just as his hand comes down Brian Hebner is pulled from out of the ring. Hebner is then smashed in the head with a steel chair by Rick Knoxx? Knoxx quickly gets in the ring, chair in hand, and smashes the steel chair over the head of Ken Shamrock, who had still got Chris Kanyon locked in the ankle lock, Ken Shamrock then slumps down to the mat. Rick Knoxx then helps Chris Kanyon up to his feet and the two men hug in the middle of the ring, to boos from the crowd. Hobbling from the effects of the ankle lock Chris Kanyon slowly makes his way over to Ken Shamrock. Shamrock is dazed from the chair shot, and as he gets back to his feet he is met by a flatliner on the steel chair delivered by Chris Kanyon. Kanyon quickly covers his opponent and his personal referee makes the lightening fast three count. The two men quickly get out of the ring, and helped by Rick Knoxx, Chris Kanyon walks back up the ramp shout ‘Who Betta?’ Winner, by pinfall, at 12.47 – Chris Kanyon Rating: B+ We find ourselves backstage once again, we join Josh Matthews who is now with Bill Goldberg. Josh Matthews: “We heard earlier tonight from your opponent Chris Jericho about your looser leaves town match later. I was just wondering what are your thoughts and what Chris Jericho said and to ask you how you prepare for a match like this one?” Bill Goldberg: “I heard what Chris Jericho had to say earlier tonight, he said he wasn’t scared of Bill Goldberg. I say different, because when I looked into his eyes last night at GWF: Breakthrough I saw fear, which is only a good thing. You should fear me Chris Jericho, because tonight I’m taking the GWF World Championship off of you, and I’m taking your job. Chris Jericho…YOU’RE NEXT!” Bill Goldberg then just snorts at the camera as we go back to the ring. CM Punk the makes his way down to the crowd to some boos from the crowd after his comments earlier tonight. CM Punk doesn’t seem to care about this though and just gets in the ring to start this match. This match was just like the one that they had last night on GWF: Breakdown, which in itself is quite surprising. Many had though that Lance Storm would be quick to act in this match, being the in-ring veteran in this match. This wasn’t the case however as CM Punk quickly gained the advantage, and locked in the straight edge on Lance Storm forcing him to tap out at 11 minutes. Winner, by submission, at 11.57 – CM Punk Rating: C+ We join, yet again, Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcer’s table. Joey Styles: “It’s now time for our main event of the evening, Bill Goldberg gone one on one with Chris Jericho for the GWF World Championship in a looser leaves town match. It’s this match that is bringing new meaning to the phrase all or nothing…” Don Callis: “How long have you been waiting to say that line Joey, all night? Listen anyone with a little amount of sense will know that Chris Jericho will win. Bill Goldberg doesn’t stand a chance…” Joey Styles: “You know, I seem to remember the fact that he kicked your favorite wrestler a** last night on GWF: Breakthrough.” Don Callis: “Yes…well…that was just a fluke.” Joey Styles: “Was it a fluke last month when he beat him at GWF: Breakdown as well?” Don Callis: “I don’t know who you think you’re impressing with this but it’s certainly not me.” Rating: B A video is played to show all the events leading up to this match. Starting with the attack on Bill Goldberg three weeks ago by Chris Jericho on GWF: Breakthrough, to the week that they attacked each other all night. The video ends with the picture of Bill Goldberg standing triumphant in the ring, with Chris Jericho looking worried at the top of the ramp. Rating: A –vs.- Bill Goldberg –vs.- Chris Jericho©GWF World Championship Looser Leaves Town Match Ref: Brian Hebner Once the video finishes the sound of drums is heard in the arena, causing the crowd to get in their feet. The stage fills with smoke, and then the drums stop; the crowd are now chanting ‘Goldberg, Goldberg, Goldberg.’ The smoke begins to clear and Bill Goldberg is revealed that send the crowd into a frenzy. The makes his way down to the ring as the crowd continue to chant his name, he gets in the ring and snorts and spits a bit before posing for the crowd. The just stands in the ring and stares at the ramp, waiting for the GWF World Champion. Goldberg music finishes playing and the arena gets plunged into blackness as the countdown starts to play on the big screen. The countdown gets to zero, but Chris Jericho’s music doesn’t play. The arena’s lights are then turned back on to reveal Chris Jericho standing right behind Bill Goldberg in the ring. Bill Goldberg doesn’t see this however, but Chris Jericho has the GWF World Championship belt in his hand. He smashes the title belt over the back of the head of Bill Goldberg, who goes down. Brian Hebner, now recovered from the chair shot from Rick Knoxx earlier, grabs the championship belt from Chris Jericho and signals for this match to officially begin. Chris Jericho, sensing victory after the ambush, goes immediately for the pin. Chris Jericho only manages a two count though as Bill Goldberg kicks out. Chris Jericho couldn’t believe that Bill Goldberg kicked out, and straight away went for the pin again, but again Bill Goldberg kicked out at the count of two. Chris Jericho goes for the pin a third time, but doesn’t even get a one count and Bill Goldberg powers out and gets back up to his feet. Chris Jericho gets back to his feet as well, and is clearly upset that his plan never worked. Bill Goldberg is pi**ed though, obviously not liking a championship belt smashed again the back of his skull. Bill Goldberg immediately goes on the offensive, and using his strength, manages to deliver several varieties of powerslams on the GWF World Champion. Chris Jericho on the other hand is unable to gain any sort of momentum in the early part of this match. In fact Bill Goldberg looks to get this match ended quite early and sets Chris Jericho up for the jackhammer, but Chris Jericho manages to battle out of the move as he’s being held up. Jericho slides down Bill Goldberg’s back and low blows him effectively stopping Bill Goldberg’s momentum in this match. Chris Jericho, surprisingly, doesn’t go for the cover or any offensive move at all. As Brian Hebner checks on Bill Goldberg, Chris Jericho goes over to the turnbuckle and starts to remove the middle turnbuckle pad. Unseen by either the ref or Goldberg Chris Jericho successfully removed the pad; Jericho then acts like he’s catching his breath in the corner as Goldberg gets back to his feet. Chris Jericho seemed to have angered Bill Goldberg even more than when he smashed the GWF World Championship belt into the back of his skull, if that’s even possible. Bill Goldberg tries to get back the momentum, but Chris Jericho’s playing possum seemed to have worker as the champion was able to sucker Goldberg in and it was now Chris Jericho’s turn to have the advantage in this match. Chris Jericho, sensing some weakness in Bill Goldberg after the championship shot to the back of the head and the low blow, seems to have a second wind as he tries to beat Bill Goldberg. What ever he does though he seems to be incapable of putting Bill Goldberg away for the three count. When Bill Goldberg first came at him when he was playing possum in the corner Chris Jericho managed to nail a running en-zi-guri to Bill Goldberg’s head, quite an impressive feat, but that only managed to get a two count. Even the lionsault only got a two count, much to Chris Jericho’s frustration. It was now obvious that Chris Jericho didn’t know if he really was able to put Bill Goldberg away as he’d connected with all of his finishing moves but was unable to pick up the win. So instead of a three count, he went for a submission victory. As Bill Goldberg lay on the mat after a third lionsault Chris Jericho locked in the walls of Jericho on Bill Goldberg, not an easy thing to do. Then a sight that had never really been seen before happened, Bill Goldberg was screaming in pain. Chris Jericho though looked pleased with this, and just started to laugh. Surprisingly Bill Goldberg managed to withstand the pain for quite a long time, and started to slowly crawl to the ropes. Bill Goldberg, cheered on by the sound of the crowd got nearer and nearer to the ropes, and when he was in finger tip range Goldberg lunged and the rope with all of his remaining strength, but he just missed and the sound of his hand hitting the mat caused Chris Jericho to release the hold thinking he had won. Chris Jericho couldn’t believe it though; he went over to the corner and stood on the top posing for the crowd. He looked really close to crying, that was until Brian Hebner informed him that Bill Goldberg hadn’t tapped. Now Chris Jericho really couldn’t believe it as he grabbed Brian Hebner by the shirt and asking him what. While all this was happening Bill Goldberg had gotten back to his feet and had started to stalk Chris Jericho. Jericho, visibly irate this time, let go of Hebner and just saw Bill Goldberg charging at him, looking to hit the spear, out of the corner of his eye. Chris Jericho though side stepped him though and Bill Goldberg collided with the exposed turnbuckle that Chris Jericho had taken the pad off earlier. Bill Goldberg turned round dazed and was sent straight down to the mat by a bulldog by Chris Jericho, who was eager to capitalize. He then ran to the ropes and hit the fourth lionsault of the match on Bill Goldberg. He immediately went for the pin and Brian Hebner made the count. 1...2...3. Chris Jericho has done it; he’s defeated Bill Goldberg. Brian Hebner gives him the GWF World Championship belt back and he just hugs it to his chest as the crowd boo him. Chris Jericho doesn’t see him until he gets to the top of the ramp. He then grabs a mic and says obviously breathlessly. Chris Jericho: “Oh no Goldberg, you’re not leaving like that. No you said I should be afraid of you, but look I’m the winner not you. I’m so happy to show that world that you are all hype that I feel like singing. So Bill Goldberg, this song is just for you, and you ungrateful idiots here can sing along. Na-na-nah-na, na-na-nah-na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye Na-na-nah-na, na-na-nah-na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye Come on you know the words.” The crowd boo him as he launches into the song again. Im glad i got extra points for guessing mero's match, it certainly helped with my three off picks. Honestly i guess picking the more talented wreslter doesn't always win. Storm is more talented the CM, same with Juvy and kazarian, and Shamrock certainly deserved satisfaction. Oh well i guess that will develop into a good fued. LOL. Edit: oh and i guess Goldberg Tapping out may be too much, though it would make Jericho a super heel......

The Wrestling Wire, 07/21/07 Welcome to this week’s edition of ‘The Wrestling Wire.’ What did we think of GWF: Fight To The Death? What has caused the WWE to attempt to sue GWF? and which major veteran is considering retirement? All this and much more, including week 4 of the Kip James NWA World Heavyweight Championship watch. ------------------------ GWF: FIGHT TO THE DEATH This past Sunday GWF presented their latest, and possible last, PPV GWF: Fight To The Death. Our sources say that GWF presidents Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff are happy with the show, and are just waiting for the call to say that their future on PPV is secure. GWF have even announced their next PPV name GWF: Resurrection in preparation for it. The show itself was better than their previous attempts, and we here at the ‘wire’ only have two points that we really weren’t happy with. The first thing was the Jeff Hardy, Sean O’Haire match but at least it should be the last time these two face off. The second thing is the whole Marc Mero thing. Now it’s obvious that what happened at the event was planned with the fan jumping over the guardrail but why is Marc Mero in GWF? The finish to the main event was ok, not the best but we weren’t expecting the end to be clean, but it was understandable. However there is currently some heat on Chris Jericho as him singing the song at the end was not planned and Bill Goldberg was not happy with it. He has demanded that Chris Jericho be punished for it, Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff don’t seem to care too much apparently so don’t intend to punish Chris Jericho, after all it was quite funny. Chris Jericho was said to be very angry when Bill Goldberg was signed, as he thought he would be pushed to one side, so singing the song was a way for him to rub some salts into the wound. Anyway the early estimates are that the show pulled in around 238,860 buys, but no word as yet it the PPV carrier is happy with this number. ------------------------ BILL GOLDBERG CONTRACT EXPIRES Now we knew that Bill Goldberg’s time in GWF was going to be short, but not this short. Since Charlie Haas was injured the plans for Bill Goldberg were quickened. He was supposed to be involved more in the Ken Shamrock, Chris Kanyon storyline for a bit longer but those plans had been nixed in favour for his storyline with Chris Jericho, which was going to happen eventually. Anyway Bill Goldberg is now gone from GWF, but no word yet if he will return at some point in the future, or if he’s heading to any of the other companies. ------------------------ GWF AND WWE COME TO BLOWS Sources say that GWF had tried to sign Brock Lesner to a contract, but when the WWE heard of this they stepped in. It appears that Brock Lesner’s no complete clause is still in effect in North America till sometime in 2009. GWF were forced to back out of the negotiations or face a hefty lawsuit from the WWE. ------------------------ THE UNDERTAKER CONSIDERING RETIREMENT? Mark Calloway (aka The Undertaker) is currently considering thinking about hanging up his boots. The Undertaker has been wrestling since 1988, so he has been a long time in the business. Our sources say that nagging injuries, as well as age, are the main reason for the reasons for this, but Vince McMahon is supposedly doing all he can to persuade him to stay. More news on this as we get it. ------------------------ KIP JAMES NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP WATCH: WEEK 4 OK week four and Kip James is nowhere to be seen on TNA’s Xplosion. In fact he hasn’t been seen in TNA since his win over Simon Diamond at Victory Road. Apparently his filming an ad in the UK for hot chocolate is much more important, than you know actually defending one of the most respected championships in this business. ------------------------ RATINGS RECAP Here are all of the figures from this week’s shows. Tonight on GWF: Breakthrough Chris Jericho has announced that it will be Chris Jericho appreciation night 2 in honour of ridding Bill Goldberg from GWF. He has also reported that he has a special surprise for one of the GWF wrestlers, but refuses to say what the surprise is, or who it is for. One thing we do know though, whatever the surprise is, knowing Chris Jericho it cannot be a good thing. Also last Sunday at GWF: Fight To The Death Ken Shamrock was unable to fulfil his vow of breaking Chris Kanyon’s ankle, after Chris Kanyon’s personal referee Rick Knoxx returned and helped Chris Kanyon to win the match. Tonight Eric Bischoff has made the rematch between Ken Shamrock and Chris Kanyon, but with Rick Knoxx back does Ken Shamrock have any hope of defeating the man who attacked him at GWF: No Remorse. Tonight’s GWF: Breakthrough will also see another rematch from GWF: Fight To The Death, as Paul London and Spanky will defend the GWF Tag Team Championships against Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter. He is also the man to have the honour of being both the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion and the first ever GWF World Champion. Not only this but he currently hold the record for being the man to hold the WWE Intercontinental Champion the most, seven times to be exact. He has always been considered too small to be a really big name in this business, but has the talent and charisma to be one anyway. His feuds with The Rock, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle and Triple H were brilliant and have brought us some great moments within the business. His debut with the WWE is a prime example of this and is proof of how good this man really is. His new lease of life with GWF looks to have brought back his passion for the business and, we hope, looks to be staying with the business for a while. GWF: Breakthrough, MONSTER DEFEATED, 07/21/07 GWF: Breakthrough 07/21/07 Scotiabank Place, Ottawa, Ontario To open up the show we see highlights from GWF: Fight To The Death. It mainly focuses on the Bill Goldberg –vs.- Chris Jericho looser leaves GWF match, but Frankie Kazarian’s GWF Cruiserweight Championship win, as well as a recap of the cage match between Jeff Hardy and Sean O’Haire. Rating: D This would be the place where the opening video for GWF: Breakthrough would be, followed by the pyro but Ken Shamrock and Chris Kanyon are already fighting in the middle of the ring. This doesn’t even resemble a wrestling match as the two men are using anything and everything to inflict pain on the other. The fight then spills out of the ring and the two men start to brawl around the ringside area, Chris Kanyon whips Ken Shamrock into the guard-rail, but he reverses it with such velocity that Kanyon goes over the guardrail and into the crowd. Ken Shamrock soon follows him and now the two men are brawling in the middle of the audience. In the ring Rick Knoxx has counted the two men out, but they don’t seem to care as they continue to pummel each other as security, road agents, and referees try to restrain the two men. They don’t seem to have much luck as Ken Shamrock and Chris Kanyon’s fight ends up back in the ring. The ring is now just a mass of security as they try to keep the two men apart. So now everyone’s attention is finally where it belongs, on your GWF World Champion, the king of the world, the living legend, never to be duplicated, Charlie Haas ankle breaker, Bill Goldberg destroyer and one sexy beast Chris Jericho. So tonight is Chris Jericho appreciation night two, so let the appreciation begin.” Chris Jericho goes to leave but Josh Matthews follows him to ask a question. Josh Matthews: “Chris, tonight you said that you’ve got a very special surprise for one of the GWF wrestler’s tonight, can you expand on this?” Chris Jericho: “You’ll find out soon enough, but here’s a little hint for you. It’s something I have never given before, and it’s probable something that I will never give again, and the person I give the surprise to better understand how important this surprise really is.” Rating: A –vs.- Paul London & Spanky© -vs.- Ken Doane & Johnny Jeter GWF Tag Team Championships Ref: Charles Robinson We return to the ring for our first ‘real’ match of the night as, in a rematch from GWF: Fight To The Death, Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter challenge Paul London & Spanky for the GWF Tag Team Championships. By now though Paul London and Spanky have scouted most of Ken Doane and Johnny Jeter’s tactics and easily avoid them, much to their frustrations. Paul London picks up the win for his team after connecting with the London’s Calling on Johnny Jeter for the three count. Winners, by pinfall, and still GWF Tag Team Champions at 10.57 – Paul London & Spanky Rating: C+ We go backstage to Eric Bischoff’s office to find him in the middle of an argument with Frankie Kazarian. Frankie Kazarian: “Listen Eric, it’s none negotiable. I’m refusing to grant Juventud Guerrera a rematch. It’s quite simple.” Eric Bischoff: “Just who do you think you are…” Frankie Kazarian: “I’m the future, and the new GWF Cruiserweight Champion. That’s who I am and unless you want me to leave this company with the GWF Cruiserweight Championship in my possession then you will listen to me…” Eric Bischoff: “No, you will listen to me. I’m the one in charge around here not you. I decide what matches take place, I own this company, which means that I own you. So, and listen very carefully to this, if I say Juventud Guerrera gets a rematch for the GWF Cruiserweight Championship then he gets a rematch and there’s nothing you can do about it.” Frankie Kazarian: “Didn’t you hear me, if you try that I walk…” Eric Bischoff then slaps the hell out of Frankie Kazarian. Eric Bischoff: “If you ever try that then I will strip you of the GWF Cruiserweight Championship then I’ll fire you’re a**. Then, just for the fun of it, I’ll hire you back, just to fire you’re a** again. Am I making myself perfectly clear? It’s time people round here realised that I am the boss, and they better start paying attention to me. Now get out of my office, I’ve got a company to run.” Frankie Kazarian looks pis*ed that Eric Bischoff just treated him like that, but reluctantly does leaves Eric Bischoff’s office, just as a member of the security team enters. Man: “Boss, we’ve got a problem.” Rating: D We go back to the ring as Jeff Hardy makes his way down to the ring, to cheers from the crowd, he heavily bandaged up after the cage match at GWF: Fight To The Death. Jeff Hardy: “Last Sunday I beat Sean O’Haire inside a cage. Even after his pal Mark Jindrak tried to help him win, I still beat him so Sean I know you’re not here tonight but I’m sire you’ll see this eventually. You’ll be happy to know that the issue between us, well it’s over. So now I think I deserve a GWF World Championship shot. I was eliminated from the GWF World Championship tournament thanks to Mark Jindrak poking his nose where it doesn’t belong so the way I figure it is that I deserve a shot at the GWF World Championship. So I am hereby challenging Chris Jericho to a championship match…” The crowd cheer at this, but they soon turn to boos as instead of the GWF World Champion coming out on the stage, CM Punk’s music hit instead. CM Punk: “Whoa? Jeff you actually think that you deserve a shot at the GWF World Championship?” Jeff Hardy: “Well, yeah. What it got to do with you anyway?” CM Punk: “It’s got everything to do with me, because you are everything that I hate about this business. This business should be about wrestling and what happened at GWF: Fight To The Death between you and Sean O’Haire was not a wrestling match. It was an embarrassment Jeff. Wrestling shouldn’t be about bleeding everywhere, it shouldn’t be about you kicking someone off of the top of a cage and sending them crashing down to the mat. Wrestling is about the spirit of competition, not about nearly killing your opponent. I’m sick of seeing people who don’t deserve to be at the top of the card when they shouldn’t be. People who’ve abused their bodies, people just like you Jeff. So you want to challenge Chris Jericho for the GWF World Championship, over my dead body.” CM Punk’s music kicks back in as he stares a hole into Jeff Hardy, who is just standing there looking really confused. Rating: C- We head backstage again, we find Eric Bischoff standing in what appears to be the security office. We see him watching a screen and he’s standing with the member of the security team that interrupted him in his office earlier. We can’t see much of the screen that they are looking at, only a bit where a man seems to be emerging from a hiding place somewhere in the arena. The security person pauses the tap as the image of the man. Eric Bischoff: “Wait, isn’t that that fan who attacked Marc Mero last Sunday after his match?” Security Man: “Yes, we don’t know how he got passed our security but I’ve got men all over the arena trying to find him.” Eric Bischoff: “Are you telling me you haven’t found him yet.” Security Man: “I’m afraid so.” Eric Bischoff: “Right, Marc Mero got a match next, and theres a probability that this psycho, whoever he is, will try and attack him again. He obviously doesn’t know that the fan that attacked him at GWF: Fight To The Death has somehow got inside the arena. He looks a little confused as he gets in the ring as security run down the ramp and surround the ring, it isn’t until Brian Hebner explains what’s going on that Marc Mero understands but he doesn’t seem to be too concerned. The match itself is the shortest match of the night as Jimmy Yang picks up the win after hitting a superkick on Marc Mero Winner, by pinfall, at 6.43 – Jimmy Yang Rating: C- After the match Marc Mero slides out of the ring as the security team surrounds him as he walks up the ramp. But then one of the security team members just behind Marc Mero attacks him. Taken by surprise Marc Mero is taken down easily and the member of the security team is laying into him with rights and lefts. The other security team members look a little confused at first, and it isn’t until that the man who’s attacking Marc Mero hat falls off that they realise what’s going on, it’s the fan that attacked him at GWF: Fight To The Death. The security drags him off of Marc Mero, but he’s fighting them all the way. He starts to scream as he’s dragged up the ramp that he’ll get Marc Mero sometime. Rating: F We quickly cut backstage where Eric Bischoff is running down a corridor as the security team appear, still dragging the fan with him. Eric Bischoff gets in the fans face. Eric Bischoff: “Who in the h*ll do you think you are huh? If you ever turn up to a GWF event again I’ll get you arrested.” He then turns to the head of the security team. Eric Bischoff: “Get this pile of c**p out of my building. Oh, and if he turns up again and attacks one of my wrestlers I’m holding you personally responsible understand?” Rating: E We go back to the announcer’s table. How can you sit there and spout that rubbish?” Rating: C We leave Joey Styles and Don Callis arguing about whether or not Marc Mero is the father of that fan as the participants of the next match make their entrances. Marcus Bagwell then made his entrance, to some heat from the crowd, but not much. The match itself was a back and forth affair, as the two men both had the advantage at different points during the match. Diamond Dallas Page ended up getting the win as he connected with the diamond cutter on Marcus Bagwell for the three count in twelve minutes. Winner, by pinfall, at 12.34 – Diamond Dallas Page Rating: B- However before Diamond Dallas Page could celebrate his win the GWF World Champion Chris Jericho made his way down to the ring. Page looked confused to why he was there, but let Chris Jericho get in the ring and grab a mic. Chris Jericho: “DDP, tonight I said that I have a surprise for someone, and it’s you the surprise is for.” DDP looks worried at this and gets ready for a fight. Chris Jericho: “No wait, I’m not here to attack you. If I was going to attack you I would have done it already. No what I’m here for may seem a bit different because I’m here for something I’ve never given anyone else before. I have never, or will, ever do this again so you much appreciate how important this really is Diamond and it’s because I respect you. I respect everything about you, how you speak your mind, how you don’t take any cr*p, I respect everything that you have achieved in this business. That’s the reason I’m doing this because I respect you man.” DDP: “Can we just cut all of this bullsh*t and can you get to the point.” Chris Jericho: “You see its testament to how much I respect you that I haven’t smashed a steel chair over your head for saying that. No since you want me to get to the point then fine. I’m giving you a second chance. Now I know that doesn’t seem like much to you, but for me it’s huge. I’m actually giving you a second chance…” DDP:What for?” Chris Jericho: “To apologise. To apologise to me for accusing me of attacking Ken Shamrock.” DDP goes to say something to interrupt, but Chris Jericho cuts him off. Chris Jericho: “No, I’m giving you one week to decide properly. One week for today I’m going to meet you in this ring and I expect an apology from you. If I don’t get it Diamond then I will have no choice. I will have to go for your weak spot, you know that I’m capable of it, but I don’t want to do it. Don’t make me go for your weak spot Diamond, apologise or I will have to. One week Diamond, don’t make me regret doing this.” Chris Jericho leaves the ring. DDP just watches him go, but doesn’t say anything until he gets to the top of the ramp. DDP: “I don’t need a week Chris, you already know what my answer is.” Chris Jericho: “One week Diamond, that‘s the deal. If you don’t do as I wish then I don’t have a choice. I’ll hurt you Diamond, in the worst way possible.” Chris Jericho then continues to walk backstage leaving DDP in the ring. Rating: B+ The show fades to black with Diamond Dallas Page standing in the middle of the ring looking confused at the last statement by Chris Jericho.

Monthly Report August 2007 Our deal with the PPV company to have a small number of shows to see what sort of numbers we can pull has no finished, and we are just waiting for the final estimates to come in. I’ve got to say, we are really pleased with the way that GWF: Fight To The Death went down so if we don’t get the deal we will be highly surprised. Things are looking up as we have had no major incidents really this month, apart from the whole Chris Jericho singing Bill Goldberg out of GWF, but hey that was funny. Eric is off somewhere; trying to put the finishing touches to a contract to someone we really want to come in to the company for a short time. The negotiations are going really slow though, and if a deal doesn’t get done within the next couple of hours then the deal won’t go ahead. Apparently it’s nothing to do with the amount of money we’re offering, it’s just that this person has some bad history with the person they’re being asked to work with. Anyway the accounts department has just dropped off the figures from this month’s income and outcome.
Expenditures Worker Costs – 274,105 Show Costs – 89,000.00 Production Costs – 179,000.00 Marketing Costs – 25,000.00 Merchandise Costs – 67,524 Misc. Costs – 62,478 -------------------------------------- Total Expenditure – 697,107.00
The expenditure rose 13,812.00 this month.
Income PPV Revenue – 2,457,986.00 Ticket Sales – 451,247.00 Sponsors – 124,148.00 Merchandise Income – 65,873.00 --------------------------------------- Total Income – 3,099,284.00
Thus meaning that our income has risen by over half a million dollars, meaning we have got an income of around two and a half million dollars for the past month. He*l if I knew that we could make this much money by owning my own promotion I’d have piss*d Vince McMahon and made him put drugs in my desk a lot sooner. I was knocked out of my celebration by the sound of my phone ringing. I was expecting this to be Vince McMahon; after all he has rung me at the end of every month to say how much we are going to fail. How wrong I was though. “Hello. Mr Prince, it’s John Rayner from the dish network…” I can’t really remember the rest of the conversation, but I can remember exactly what my response was. F**k me

The Wrestling Wire 07/28/07 Welcome one and all to this week’s update of ‘The Wrestling Wire’, the best place on the net for all of those news, rumours and gossip from the world of professional wrestling. What is the future of GWF on PPV? What has made Vince McMahon to get piss*d off? And why on earth was RoH allowed to have another PPV? ------------------------ GWF SECURE LONG TERM PPV DEAL Yes the word that GWF has been waiting for has arrived. Their PPV provider is happy with the numbers that GWF: Fight To The Death pulled that their future on PPV is secure for the time being, as long that is if they manage to continue to pull in the same numbers. If they fall below that number that the two sides have agreed upon, then the deal is off. Anyway GWF: Fight To The Death got an estimated buy rate of 245,124 buy rate, along with a approval rating of B+, the best that GWF has pulled for one of their big shows. For a company that hasn’t been going for more that three months this is a huge feat, almost unbelievable in fact, but GWF is making serious headway in this business. Something that Vince McMahon is not happy about. ------------------------ WWE PLAY DIRTY Vince McMahon is unhappy with the news that GWF has signed a secure and long term PPV deal is putting it lightly. In real terms the man is piss*d. So much so that he has phoned every PPV provider that he deals with and has told them point blank that if they agree a deal with GWF in the future then their contract with the WWE is off. Sources say that he is really surprised and irate with the rate that GWF has risen in such a short space of time. His obsession with Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff is now so much that he seems to be devoting as much time as possible in finding ways of trying to sink GWF before the company can gain any more momentum. It seems that a war is coming in the USA wrestling scene, and some real competition for the WWE in the form of GWF, it also looks like that both sides are getting ready for that war in all ways possible. ------------------------ ROH FREEFALL REPORT Ok, we’re not going to spend much time on this subject, because quite frankly this show was bad. Many were surprised to discover that the company even had another PPV, including us at ‘The Wrestling Wire’. However the show was on this past Sunday, but nothing much happened to be honest. The main event of Bryan Danielson against Christopher Daniels was the only highlight of a lack lustre showing from this company. After such a great period at the end of 2006 Ring of Honor looked to be about to hit it big, but now they seemed to have lost all of their momentum. ------------------------ KIP JAMES NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP WATCH: WEEK 5 Week 5 of the Kip James NWA World Heavyweight Championship watch brings us exactly the same as the past four weeks of his reign, absolutely nothing. This can only mean good things for this still fledgling company. ------------------------ GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW Speaking of GWF: Breakthrough, here is the preview for tonight’s show.
GWF: Breakthrough Preview for 07/28/07 DDP’S SECOND CHANCE Last week Chris Jericho gave Diamond Dallas Page a second chance to apologise to him for wrongly accusing him of attacking Ken Shamrock at GWF: No Remorse. DDP stated that he doesn’t need a week to give his answer, but Chris Jericho is holding to it. Tonight on GWF: Breakthrough the GWF World Champion is going to head down to the ring and get DDP’s answer. Chris Jericho also said last week that if DDP doesn’t apologise then he will hurt the legend ‘in the worst way possible’. With this cryptic warning will DDP back down and apologise tonight? Or will he stand firm and face the consequences? Last week Jeff Hardy challenged Chris Jericho to a GWF World Championship match, but instead of the GWF World Champion coming out to confront Jeff, CM Punk did. CM Punk said that Jeff Hardy doesn’t deserve a title shot, and that he will get one over ‘his dead body.’ Tonight, in the main event the straight edge wrestler CM Punk will face Jeff Hardy in a one on one match up. CM Punk is on quite a roll here in GWF, but can Jeff Hardy prove that he deserves a shot at the GWF World Championship? But that’s not all as this week’s GWF: Breakthrough will see not one but two championship matches as Frankie Kazarian defends his newly won GWF Cruiserweight Championship against the man who he faced at GWF: Breakdown, Jack Evans. The GWF Tag Team Champions Paul London and Spanky will also put their gold on the line as they face The Heart Breakers in tag team action. First debuting in the ring way back in July 1988, joining WCW in 1989. He actually became one of the first men that WCW declared unmarketable and let go only to go to the WWE and having one of the most successfully gimmicks in the history of this business. With notable feuds against men such as Hulk Hogan, Randy Orton, Mankind, Steve Austin, The Rock and Kane proves that this man’s impact on this business is deep. He has also been the only man to go fourteen years without a loss at Wrestlemania, his only loss at that event was at Wrestlemania 23 when he lost to Batista. The Undertaker’s contributions to this sport are unmatchable, and he is defiantly a future hall of famer. If he does decide to retire for good, then we here at The Wrestling Wire wish him the best in his retirement and offer him our thanks for all he has done for professional wrestling. The GWF Cruiserweight Champion was in control for the beginning of the match, using every heel tactic he knew of to try and score the early win, however when the former champion Juvetnud Guerrera came out and stood at the top of the ramp Frankie Kazarian was distracted enough to allow Jack Evans to get back up to his feet and plant Frankie Kazarian with northern lights suplex, but only gets a two count. With his mind back on the match Frankie Kazarian gets back in control of the match with a well times finger to the eye that allows him to set Jack Evan up for the wave of the future. With Juventud Guerrera looking on Kazarian hits the move and gets the three count, giving him his first successful title defence. Winner, by pinfall, at 9.45 and still GWF Cruiserweight Champion – Frankie Kazarian Rating: C We go backstage to find Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak in their locker-room. Sean O’Haire is heavily bruised and wearing a neck brace after his match with Jeff Hardy at GWF: Fight To The Death. Sean O’Haire: “My plan has hit setback after setback, but no longer will I stand idly by and allow that to happen. We need to get back on track, we need to start afresh, we need a new plan, and it just so happen that I have a plan, and it will be set in motion soon. Then once my plan has come into fruition, the GWF World Championship will be one step closer.” Rating: C- In another part of the backstage area Eric Bischoff is talking to the head of the security team that he threatened to fire last week. Eric Bischoff: “I hope we’re not going to have another incident like we had last week.” Security Man: “Don’t worry boss, security has been strengthened. The tag team champions make short work of the challengers, as Spanky connects with the sliced bread #2 on Antonio Thomas for the three count. Winners, by pinfall, at 7.21 and still GWF Tag Team Champions – Paul London and Spanky Rating: B We return to the backstage area to find Josh Matthews standing by with CM Punk, like at GWF: Fight To The Death CM Punk cuts Josh Matthew off before he even begins. CM Punk: “Last week I said that Jeff Hardy would get a shot at the GWF World Championship over my dead body, but many of you people have come up to me all week and told me that I had no right to say that Jeff Hardy didn’t deserve a title shot. People have told me that it doesn’t concern me, that it’s none of my business. I say differently. I’ve decided I’m not going to stand back and allow people who don’t deserve things in this company, in this business, to get what they want, people like Jeff Hardy. Too long people have taken the name of this business and trodden it through the mud and made it a joke, made it an embarrassment to what it once one. So now I taking a stand, a stand for the spirit of competition, a stand to put the honor and prestige back into this sport. From now on I’m taking a stand for the sport of professional wrestling. That means from now on, scum like Jeff Hardy, embarrassments like Jeff Hardy, will never drag the name of this business through mud ever again.” CM Punk then just walks off, as Josh Matthews just watches him go. Rating: C- We now find ourselves with Frankie Kazarian, who is celebrating his win here earlier tonight. He stops when he comes face to face with the former GWF Cruiserweight champion Juventud Guerrera. Frankie Kazarian: “What the he*l do you want… no wait I know, you want a rematch for the GWF Cruiserweight Championship don’t you? Well guess what Juventud, you’re over the hill, done, finished. You’re the past Juventud Guerrera, and what you’re looking at right now is the future of this business. So Juventud, you will never get a shot at the GWF Cruiserweight Championship so sorry. But if it’s any consolation Juventud, since I’m the future, the future’s never looked so good.” Frankie Kazarian just laughs in the face of Juventud Guerrera before walking away leaving a very piss*d looking Juventud Guerrera alone as we head back to the ring for our next match. Rating: D –vs.- Marc Mero –vs.- Johnny Jeter Ref: Brian Hebner We go back to the ring to find Johnny Jeter already in the ring as Marc Mero makes his entrance. This match was the shortest of the night, but unlike last week no security came running down to surround the ring like last week. In the end Johnny Jeter pinned Marc Mero for the three count after hitting him with a jumping spinning roundhouse kick, which he calls the Johnny, go round. Winner, by pinfall, at 5.12 – Johnny Jeter Rating: D After the match Johnny Jeter gets out of the ring and heads back up the ramp as Marc Mero gets back up to his feet. Mero too then gets out of the ring, but as he tries to walk away, he is tripped up by a hand reaching out from under the ring. Mero falls to the floor as the ring curtain moves and out comes the fan that’s been attacking Marc Mero for the past two weeks. With Mero still dazed from the unexpected fall the fan pounces and starts to pound Mero with right and left hands as the security comes pouring out of the back. The security team drag the fan off and drag him backstage as Mero is visibly angry that he has been ambushed yet again. Rating: F We quickly go backstage to see the security team dragging the fan down a corridor. Waiting for them as they turn a corner are two police officers and GWF President Eric Bischoff. The head of security tell his team to dump the fan on the floor, and as the police officers put him in handcuffs, the rest of the security team leaves, but the head of security stays behind looking very apprehensive. The police officers drag the fan back up his feet and go to take him away, but Eric Bischoff blocks their path and gets in the face of the fan. Eric Bischoff: “I warned you last week what would happen if you turned up here again didn’t I you little sh*t. You think your clever, sneaking into my arena, I’m going to make you pay for this punk.” With that Eric lets the police take the fan away and we see them taking the fan down the corridor. Eric then looks directly at the head of security, who is no just standing there and shuffling on his feet. Eric Bischoff: “Just how in the h*ll did he get in here tonight?” Security Man: “I don’t know boss…” Eric Bischoff: “Then what am I paying you for?” Security Man: “To ensure the safety of our wrestlers and to make sure that the crowd don’t get out of hand.” Eric Bischoff: “Exactly, and if you can’t do that, I’m going to have to start looking for a new head of security since you don’t seem to be able to do your job.” Security Man: “Yes boss.” Rating: D We’re now once again with Josh Matthews, who’s standing by with Chris Kanyon and his personal referee Rick Knoxx. Josh Matthews: “My guests at this point are Chris Kanyon and Rick Knoxx. No Chris last week Eric Bischoff announced that at GWF: Resurrection it’s going to be you and Ken Shamrock in the first ever street fight here in GWF. What are you thoughts on being in such a dangerous match?” Chris Kanyon: “First off I’ve already beaten Ken Shamrock, so I’ve proven that I’m betta Than Ken Shamrock so to face him again is pointless. But do you want to know why I will face him at GWF: Resurrection, because of my fans. My fans are growing by the day, Kanyonmania is now in full flow and soon it’s going to take over even Hulkamania as the most powerful force in profession wrestling. To not face Ken Shamrock in a street fight would make my fans unhappy, so I’ll face Ken Shamrock and I’ll beat him for every Kanyonholic out there who can’t get enough of me. At GWF: Resurrection I’ll destroy Ken Shamrock, but for my biggest fan Don Callis I just want to let you know that do not worry for me because I will lower myself to the level of everyone else in order to properly prepare for this match…” Before Chris Kanyon can continue though Ken Shamrock runs in and attacks Chris Kanyon. The two men start to brawl around the backstage area, using anything and everything as weapons in the process. Referees, road agents and the security team run in to pull the two men apart as we go back to the arena. Rating: C- We go back to Joey Styles and Don Callis at the announcer’s table. Don Callis: “You know what Joey, Chris Kanyon really is the best. He is going into one of the most barbaric matches in this business just to please his massive fan base.” Joey Styles: “What, all the Kanyonmaniacs?” Don Callis: “Yes, all over the world the Kanyonmaniacs are now cheering on Chris Kanyon.” Joey Styles: “There all addicted to Kanyonhol aren’t they?” Don Callis: “Yes Joey, it’s very addictive stuff. Jeff Hardy then makes his way down the ramp to some cheers from the crowd. The two men lock up in the middle of the ring, and true to his word CM Punk goes out there and wrestle a proper wrestling match, without any flash. Jeff Hardy s clearly out of his element, as without any aerial moves he is very clearly out of his depths. The crowd don’t really know what to make of this, and seem to just sit there on their hands. CM Punk remained in full control of the encounter for the whole of the match. CM Punk looked to even have the match won, after hitting Jeff Hardy with a shinning wizard and then he locked in the straight edge. Instead of holding Jeff Hardy in the submission manoeuvre he lets him go before Jeff can tap. CM Punk then gets out of the ring and grabs a steel chair, getting back in the ring he kicks Charles Robinson in the gut when he tries to disarm him. Punk then stalks Jeff, waiting for him to get back up and when he does get back to his feet CM Punk smashes the chair over the head of Jeff Hardy. CM Punk then just drops the chair and gets back out the ring once again and walks back up the ramp to boos from the crowd. Charles Robinson, recovered from the kick to the gut, calls for the bell to disqualify CM Punk, but he’s not even in the ring as he’s now somewhere in the back. Jeff Hardy shakily gets back to his feet, blood pouring from his head, and he looks like he has no idea where he is. Winner, by dq, at 11.36 – Jeff Hardy Rating: C After Charles Robinson helps Jeff Hardy backstage the music of the GWF World Champion plays in the arena, as Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring, dressed in his expensive suit and sunglasses. The crowd come alive after the last match and boo the he*l out of Chris Jericho. He doesn’t seem to care though; he waits for the crowd to quieten down before speaking. Chris Jericho: “I would first off like to thank all of you for that heart-warming welcome. I know you idiots are afraid of anything that is vastly more talented and attractive than you so you all must be in awe of me. But anyway, that’s enough of you ungrateful peons because last week I gave one man a second chance. A chance to do what was right and to give me what I deserve. What I rightfully deserve is an apology. So Diamond Dallas Page you’ve had you week, I’m asking, no demanding, that you come out here and give me what I deserve.” Diamond Dallas Page immediately comes out and stands at the top of the ramp. DDP: “Chris Jericho, you want what you deserve?” Chris Jericho: “That’s right Page.” DDP: “Well then do you want you’re a*s kicking now, or at a later date because there’s no way that I’m apologising to your sorry a*s.” Chris Jericho: “Page, please. Do you want me to beg? I don’t want to go for your weak spot…” DDP: “Listen junior, I’m not apologising to you for anything. So you can give me another week, a month, a year but my answer will always be the same. You can kiss my a*s. But for your information Chris, I have no weak spot…” Chris Jericho: “I beg to differ.” Before DDP can comprehend that statement a woman walks out of the back and unseen by DDP, bends down and delivers a low blow to DDP, who obviously falls down clutching his, well you know. The woman steps over the body of DDP and walks down to the ring. Chris Jericho holds the ropes for he to get in, laughing as she does so. DDP gets back up to his knees and looks at the ring in horror as he stares at the woman. Chris Jericho: “Oh how rude of me Page, I’m sorry I didn’t let you know that I invited someone else to our little party. I would introduce you, but you’ve obviously already met her haven’t you? In case though, you know you may have suffered from amnesia or something, this here is you wife, oh sorry ex-wife, Kimberly Page.” Kimberly makes a small curtsy to the crowd as they boo, DDP still doesn’t look like he realises what’s going on. Chris Jericho: “Now I knew you wouldn’t take me up on my offer Page, so I went for you weak spot and I guess I’ve found it. But if you think this is it you’re sadly mistaken because I’ll get my apology if I have to beat it out of you because me and you Page we’re going to have ourselves a little match. At GWF: Resurrection it’s going to be Diamond Dallas Page facing your GWF World Champion, the king of the world, the living legend, never to be duplicated, Charlie Haas ankle breaker, Bill Goldberg destroyer and one sexy beast Chris Jericho. But that’s not all Page because the delicious Kimberly here, she’s going to be in my corner to watching me to beat my apology out of you.” Rating: A GWF: Breakthrough fades to black with Chris Jericho and Kimberly Page standing in the ring staring a hole through DDP on the ramp. The Wrestling Wire 08/04/07 Welcome to this week’s update of ‘The Wrestling Wire.’ What major changes have happened to the TNA booking team? With legend has decided on their future? And, shock, horror, Kip James actually defends the NWA World Heavyweight Championship? ------------------------ JEFF JARRETT REMOVED FROM BOOKING TEAM It has become widely known about what happened at TNA Victory Road concerning Jeff Jarrett, every X-Division wrester came down and kicked the living sh*t out of Jarrett. Jeff Jarrett had gone behind the back of the entire booking team, and company, in order to crown himself the X-Division champion, suffice to say the whole of TNA was irate at this. So irate in fact that we here at the ‘wire’ have found out that Jeff Jarrett has been removed from the booking team by Dixie Carter. So for the first time ever a Jarrett is no longer part of the booking process of TNA, and it is now turn for Jarrett to be irate. Sources say that he never expected this situation to get so bad, and he is seriously considering his future with the company. From what we know here at the ‘wire’ the TNA locker room don’t care what Jarrett feels, saying that he has completely buried the X-Division, and say that they are glad that they have removed Jarrett from a position of power within the company. No doubt this isn’t going to be the last we hear about this unique and volatile situation. ------------------------ THE UNDERTAKER DECIDES TO STAY Two weeks ago we here at ‘The Wrestling Wire’ discovered that The Undertaker was seriously considering retirement, but we can now reveal that he has been convinced to stay for a little while longer. Vince McMahon and The Undertaker have come to an agreement that will see him take an even lesser role with the company that he has now. Only appearing for the company special appearances, much like Hulk Hogan, it will allow for him to heal some nagging injuries but allow Vince McMahon to keep one of the last true draws for the WWE. ------------------------ KIMBERLY PAGE SIGNS WITH GWF On the last GWF: Breakthrough we found out that Kimberly Page would be in the corner for the Diamond Dallas Page –vs.- Chris Jericho GWF World Championship match at GWF: Resurrection. Apparently the deal between Kimberly Page and GWF is only a very short one, only lasting the length of the program between DDP and Chris Jericho. It is surprising that she has even returned to the wrestling world when she has been trying to crack the world of acting, she had even vowed to never step foot in a wrestling company again. This is another example of the word never not meaning anything in this business. ------------------------ AJ STYLES NEW TNA X DIVISION CHAMPION AJ Styles has become a seven time TNA X-Division champion by defeating Jeff Jarrett on the latest edition of Xplosion, but since that is only shown in the UK probably no one in the US who doesn’t check their website knows nothing of this. The match itself was basically the same that went down at TNA Victory Road, as every X-Division wrestler came down to the ring to kick the cr*p out of Jarrett, while the ref looked on. ------------------------ KIP JAMES NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP WATCH: WEEK 6 Yes shock horror, Kip James has finally appeared on Xplosion, by beating Brother Ray to retain the championship, so that makes it successful defence number 2. Are things actually looking up for this title reign, er nope. ------------------------ RATINGS Here are all of the ratings for this week’s TV and internet shows. Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff have got to be happy with this news. ------------------------ GWF: BREAKTHROUGH PREVIEW Here is the preview of tonight’s GWF: Breakthrough.
GWF: Breakthrough Preview for 08/04/07 WOMAN TROUBLES Last week DDP refused to apologise to Chris Jericho, forcing Jericho to go for DDP’s weak spot, and boy did he ever. Chris Jericho brought out DDP’s ex-wife Kimberly Page. Not only that though Chris Jericho revealed that he would defend the GWF World Championship at GWF: Resurrection and that Kimberly will be in his corner. Tonight on GWF: Breakthrough DDP will get his chance at revenge as he will team up with Jeff Hardy to face Chris Jericho and CM Punk in a tag team match. But that’s not all as GWF.com has learned that Josh Matthews has held a sit down interview with Kimberly, where she explains just why she’s helping Chris Jericho. This interview will be shown right before the main event, what reason can Kimberly Page possibly give for her to help Chris Jericho? CM Punk explained last week that he was taking a stand for professional wrestling, and that he was going to put prestige back into the sport. But during his match last week against Jeff Hardy he got himself disqualified by smashing a steel chair over the head of Jeff Hardy. Why did he do this when it goes against everything he had said earlier in the night? And will he explain his actions? Ever since GWF: Fight To The Death Marc Mero has been attacked by a mystery fan, who has managed to evade the efforts of the GWF security team to keep him out of the arenas. Last week he was arrested, but will that stop him from showing up tonight? And why is he obsessed so much with Marc Mero? Confirmed Matches Diamond Dallas Page and Jeff Hardy –vs.- Chris Jericho and CM Punk Paul London & Spanky© -vs.- Natural Selection for the GWF Tag Team Championships Marc Mero –vs.- Ken Doane. However he has spent most of his career at WCW, holding the WCW World Heavyweight Championship three times. He was the one man to actually volunteer to get out of his contract with Time Warner when the WWE bought WCW because he wanted to be part of what was supposed to be the biggest angle in the history of this business. What really happened though was The Undertaker destroyed him time and time again, and even The Undertaker’s wife, from this the career of DDP has never recovered. He floundered around in the midcard with the whole that’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing spiel, until finally being released. He has shown up in TNA for a handful of appearances, but now calls GWF his home. He is known as one of the good-guys in this business and has remained that way. Despite the whole Ready to Rumble fiasco the career of DDP can be considered a success, but ultimately the fact that he got into the business so late into his life, and the disastrous WWE run, he is not really a household name in this business. In fact his only real claim to fame at the beginning of his career was that he had a hot wife. But hey, if you’ve got to be known for one thing at least it’s that. I haven't been allowed..." Don Callis: "That's because no one likes you Joey." Joey Styles: "But...hey what's going on?" Rating: C- Joey Styles and Don Callis are prematurely cut off as the GWF President Eric Bischoff makes his way down to the ring. Eric Bischoff: "Now I know you are all here waiting for our first match to start, and I'm sorry that I'm holding it up. It's just that I'm here to address a very important situation. You see for the past three weeks, ever since GWF: Fight To The Death to be precise, some idiotic psycho has been attacking one of my wrestlers. Now he's done this is a veritity of ways, by hiding in the back, under the ring stuff like that but in doing so has evaded all of my security team. However I've got some good news for you now because this deranged individual has become too coc*y..." We then see a group of around twenty security team members pouncing on a fan in the audience. Through the entire struggle we can see that the person that they have grabbed is the fan that has been attacking Marc Mero for the past three weeks. The security team begins to drag the fan to the nearest exit, but Eric Bischoff stops them. Eric Bischoff: "No, bring that piece of cr*p into my ring." The security team drags the fan to the ring, with him kicking and screaming all the way. They finally get him in the ring and hold him back with Eric Bischoff gets into the fans face. Eric Bischoff: "Now so tough now are you punk?" He then slaps the he*l out of the fan and gestures to the security team to get him out of the arena, however before they can Marc Mero's music kicks in and the man himself makes his way down to the ring. The fan now is going insane, trying to get to Marc Mero, but the security team holds him back. Marc Mero: "Listen Eric I've got to thank you for managing to find him this week before he can blindside me. But I think I deserve some answers from him. So kid I've got to ask, who in the name of all that is good and holy are you?" Eric Bischoff doesn’t seem to like this turn of events, but he stretches out his arm so then fan can be heard. Fan: "Who am I? I'm Nick Mitchell, founding member of the Marc Mero is god fan club and world's number one fan of the old Marc Mero." Marc Mero: "Whoa, I have a fan club? Ok, Nick was it? What have I ever done to you? I mean are you my kid? Have I slept with your Mom? Did I run over your dog? Because I have no idea what I've done to you." Nick Mitchell: "What have you done to me? You've done nothing to me." Marc Mero: "Then why are you attacking me. Why are you stalking me? Why are you using your hard earned money to follow me around in order to get arrested?" Nick Mitchell: "You want to know why then fine. Growing up me and my friends were huge wrestling fans. We would always pretend to be the best wrestlers around. My friends would always be Hulk Hogan, or Macho Man Randy Savage, or The Ultimate Warrior, or Ric Flair. Me? I would always be Marc Mero. I idolized you man, I worshiped you. Every wall of my room was pasted with images of you, and when people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always told them that I wanted to be Marc Mero. You were my hero man. I know everything about you, I've seen every match you've ever, you're the reason why I've trained to become a wrestler. And then I heard the news that you were getting back in the ring, do you have any idea how excited that made me? I immediately got tickets for every GWF event to make sure I got to see you. And then GWF: Fight To The Death I finally saw you in action and you lost. Marc Mero's not supposed to loose. Then I realized what you really were. A looser, my hero, my idol is a looser. You made me believe that you were great man; you tricked me into believing that you were the best. My whole life has been a waste because the person that I idolize doesn’t even exist. So I made a vow, take you out and make sure that no one falls into the trap that I did, believing that you're great." Marc Mero: "Huh. That's some strong words there son, but in all of that the one thing that I really picked up on is the fact that you're a wrestler..." Eric Bischoff: "I'm going to stop you right there because I know where this is going. Nick I could get you arrested right here right now because you're in violation of a restraining order, but here's what going to happen. Tonight you're going to have a match against an opponent of my choosing. Oh I forgot to mention, that that match will be a no disqualification match. If you win the match you will face Marc Mero at GWF: Resurrection, if you loose here tonight though you're going straight to jail. Until your match though you're going to be under guard by security to make sure you don't cause any more disruption to my company than you already have done." Rating: B- We go backstage for the first time to see Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak talking backstage. Sean O'Haire is no longer wearing the neck brace that he was wearing last week. Sean O'Haire: "So are we clear on what’s going to happen later on? Tonight my plan gets back on the tracks, and soon I will be standing tall as the GWF World Champion. Ken Shamrock absolutely dominated the match from the start, and had just locked the ankle lock in on John Hugger when Charles Robinson was pulled out of the ring. Ken Shamrock lets the submission move off in confusion as Rick Knoxx gets in the ring. Ken Shamrock grabs Rick Knoxx by the shirt and starts to shout at him, asking him why's he out here. Rick Knoxx just smiles though and signals for the bell to be rung. As Charles Robinson gets back in the ring Ken Shamrock lets go of Rick Knoxx's shirt. Rick Knoxx breaks down into laughter as he tells Charles Robinson that Ken Shamrock is disqualified for putting his hands on a referee. We go backstage as Rick Knoxx gets out of the ring and runs up the ramp with Ken Shamrock is pursuit. Winner, by DQ, at 7.48 - John Hugger Rating: C+ We now join Josh Matthews in the interview area backstage. Josh Matthews: "My guest at this time is the man who will face Chris Jericho for the GWF World Championship at GWF: Resurrection, Diamond Dallas Page. At least I thought it was, obviously she thinks differently. You see Josh, Chris Jericho bringing in my ex-wife to be in his corner has made this into something completely different. This is now more than a wrestling match, this is personal. Chris Jericho has declared war on me, and last week he may have won the battle, but I will win the war." Josh Matthews: "Thanks for that..." DDP: "Listen Josh. We soon find out what he's running from as Ken Shamrock runs past, the cameras follow them just as Ken Shamrock catches Rick Knoxx. Shamrock grabs Knoxx and pushes him to the floor, where the locks in the ankle lock on Chris Kanyon's personal referee. Rick Knoxx starts to scream in pain, but Chris Kanyon then comes running in from behind Ken Shamrock. Kanyon smashes a lead pipe over the back of the head of Shamrock, causing him to let go of the hold. The security team runs in to break up the rest of this conflict as we head back to the ring. O'Haire slowly starts to walk down the ramp as Paul London and Spanky stay in the ring, confused as to what Sean O'Haire wants. However as their focus is on Sean O'Haire coming down the ramp, Mark Jindrak slides into the ring behind them and attacks the tag team champions. Sean O'Haire is quick to join in the attack too, and the two men start to lay boots into Paul London and Spanky. The security team pours out from the back to separate the two men, proving that they are earning their paychecks tonight. Rating: C- We head backstage to see Eric Bischoff in his office as the GWF Cruiserweight Champion Frankie Kazarian walks in. Jack Evans was just going up to the top rope, looking to finish it when one of the security team jump up of the apron and smashes a steel chair over the back of Jack Evans. The security team member then removes his hat and reveals himself to be Marc Mero. He gets in the ring and drags the lifeless Nick Mitchell over Jack Evans, then he forces Charles Robinson to count the three count. CM Punk immediately cuts in before Josh Matthews can even ask a question. CM Punk: "Last week I told the world that I was going to take a stand for the sport of professional wrestling. I said last week that I would make wrestling a noble and honorable sport once again. I went out there last week and wrestled a clinic with Jeff Hardy. I used no fancy moves, no flying, nothing. I wrestled a wrestling match, but how did you people respond? By sitting on your hands. But in truth what more could I expect? When not presented with pyrotechnics, or people being thrown off the top of a cage, or people being thrown into tacks you people just don't care. The only way you idiot’s care is if there's blood, if there's violence, if there's barbarity. So I gave you what you wanted. I smashed a steel chair into the skull of another human being, and how did you people respond? He became consumed, and he said some pretty hurtful things about me. It got so bad that after one episode of Nitro that he confronted me backstage, and I thought I was going to die. I was scared for my life Josh. He was like a mad man; he was just about to punch me when some of the boys managed to drag him away. It took so many of them to do it, but the thing that hurt was that Diamond wasn't one of the men dragging Scott away. He wasn't even there, he was somewhere else. I left that arena last night vowing never to step foot in WCW or any other wrestling company ever again. And what did my so-called husband do to get revenge on the man that hurt me? DDP looks not quite himself either, looking concerned with the words his former wife had just said. Jeff Hardy then makes his way down to the ring. CM Punk's music then kicks in as he makes his way down to the ring to boo from the crowd. These boos only grow when the countdown starts, signaling the arrival of the GWF World Champion. Chris Jericho makes his way down to the ring to the jeers of the crowd; he just laughs them off though as his focus turns onto DDP. The two men lock eyes, and the effect is instantaneous with DDP. He tried to attack Chris Jericho before the match even begins, but Jeff Hardy held him back. Jeff Hardy starts off for his team, and CM Punk starts out for his. The two men lock up in the center of the ring and after a well-timed low blow that is unseen by the ref CM Punk is in complete control. CM Punk and Chris Jericho trade constant tags, keeping each other fresh while not allowing Jeff Hardy to tag in DDP. This all goes well until CM Punk whips Jeff Hardy into the corner, but in an act of pure desperation Jeff Hardy manages to jump onto the top rope and comes flying back off with a whisper in the wind onto CM Punk. This gives Jeff Hardy enough time to catch his breath as he starts to slowly crawl over to his corner, and CM Punk does the same. CM Punk reaches his corner first and tags in Chris Jericho, Jericho immediately runs to the other side of the ring to try and stop the tag but he is too late as Jeff manages to tag in DDP. DDP immediately goes to work on the GWF World Champion, and all his frustration at Jericho for bringing in his ex-wife seems to be coming to the surface. He lays into Chris Jericho with viscous rights and left hands. When CM Punk tries to interfere DDP disposes of him as well by throwing him over the top rope. DDP turns back to Chris Jericho and waits for him to get back to his feet, when he does DDP plants him with a diamond cutter. He covers Chris Jericho as Brain Hebner makes the count. 1...2...3. Diamond Dallas Page has pinned the GWF World Champion. Chris Jericho has been pinned for the first time in GWF. After the match DDP grabs the GWF World Championship belt and hold it above his head while one foot rests on the chest of Chris Jericho. Welcome once again to this week’s edition of The Wrestling Wire. In this week’s edition: which company makes an a*s out of itself? Which former world champion has just signed a multi-year contract? What company has a new world champion? And of course the Kip James NWA World Heavyweight Championship watch. ------------------------ JUST HOW STUPID IS TNA? On the last edition if GWF: Breakthrough Kimberly Page gave an interview giving the reasons why she is helping Chris Jericho in his match against Diamond Dallas Page in the upcoming GWF: Resurrection PPV. The main reason that she gave was because of an incident back in WCW of intimidation by Scot Steiner. Now reading this you are probably trying to figure out what all this has to do with TNA. Well you see TNA upon hearing of this interview proceeded to try and sue GWF for making serious and damaging allegations against one of their wrestler, Scott Steiner. Now this is where it gets really screwy, because it appears that someone forgot to inform someone else that Scott Steiner is not even with the company any more. In fact his contract ended sometime in April and is no longer with TNA. Suffice to say there will be no lawsuit between the two companies, but how idiotic are the people in TNA if they don’t realise what talent they have or don’t have? ------------------------ JARRETT AND TNA STILL NOT GETTING ALONG Over the last few weeks the events between Jeff Jarrett and TNA has been one of the major talking points within the wrestling world; the news that Jeff has been removed from the writing team has only added fuel to the fire that Jeff’s time in TNA is now numbered. Sources say that the two sides can now not come to an agreement, and both sides want their relationship to come to an end. Jarrett especially at this point, telling his remaining friends within TNA that he wants out, and will get out before he is let go. The question is where will he go. Vince McMahon won’t let him come to the WWE after what happened between them. The RoH fans will certainty not want him in RoH. GWF could care less what happens to Jeff, after it now turns out that he was the one who made the decision that no TNA talent could work for GWF, so Matt Prince and Eric Bischoff will never hire Jarrett. One thing is for sure; Jarrett’s future within this business is looking very bleak. ------------------------ BATISTA RE-SIGNS WITH WWE Our sources say that Batista has signed a new long-term deal with the WWE for the foreseeable future. Eggs. More importantly how do the chickens lay the eggs with the expiry date on it? How do the chickens know when the eggs will go bad? There’s something really funny going on there. What have eggs got to do with wrestling? Nothing, but it’s more interesting than the title reign of Kip James which is still uneventful. It has gotten so bad that here at the wire we find eggs more interesting than Kip James's title reign. ------------------------ RATINGS REPORT Here are all of the viewing numbers and download figures for this week’s major wrestling shows. Only they don’t know who they are facing. Only their opponents know. Chris Jericho will choose the man who will face Diamond Dallas Page and he will choose who will face Chris Jericho. The most important fact here is though, they can choose absolutely anyone. They don’t even have to be part of GWF. Just who will they choose, and who will they have to face? Chris Jericho has got to be worried, as DDP hold the only pinfall victory over him. Last week we all saw the interview between Kimberly Page and Josh Matthews. Kimberly Page explained that the reason that she’s helping Chris Jericho is because DDP failed to protect her from Scott Steiner back in WCW. This week Diamond Dallas Page in addition to fighting Chris Jericho’s choice will get his chance to explain the accusations made against him by his former wife. Just how can he explain why he failed to protect Kimberly? Also last week we finally found out who the deranged fan is who has been attacking Marc Mero since GWF: Fight To The Death. That fan is Nick Mitchell and now thanks to Marc Mero he has a job here in GWF. Not only that but Nick Mitchell will be facing his former idol at GWF: Resurrection, but this week he will be once again facing Jack Evans in a rematch from last week. With Marc Mero banned from interfering can Nick Mitchell win this match? Along with The Undertaker he is one of the longest members of the WWE’s roster, as well as one of the oldest. With memorable feuds with Triple H, The Undertaker, Scott Hall, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle and of course Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels has been at the heart, and perhaps cause of, some of wrestling’s most infamous incidents. The Montreal screw job and the whole loosing the smile incident among others. In his career Shawn Michaels has pioneered some of the most famous matches in the world, again Hell in the Cell and the ladder match most notable. Many thought that his career was over in January 1998 when he took a bad bump during a casket match against The Undertaker, but he returned years later proving that he may go down, but he will not go out. Love him or hate him Shawn Michaels has been one of the most important forces in the WWE, and the wrestling world, of the last two decades, and is another future hall of famer for sure. The icon Shawn Michaels is one of the best ever. The Wrestling Wire Rating: A

Every word that Kimberly said in her interview was true. But let me explain why I didn’t stand up to Scott Steiner when he intimidated her. You see if I had gone barging in there to defend her honour, as I had every right to do, I would not be standing here in front of you now. I would be sitting in some jail cell somewhere because if I had confronted Scott Steiner about what he did to you Kimberly, I would have killed him. So I never confronted him because I didn’t love you Kimberly. Chris Jericho doesn’t look too happy about who he’s facing, but DDP has just proven that he could pick anyone he wanted. Dave Finlay immediately takes control of the match, as Chris Jericho never though DDP would pick someone with the style of Finlay. Eventually though the GWF World Champion finds his footing and begins to fight back against the raging Irishman. If anything though this only spurs Dave Finlay into fighting Chris Jericho even harder. Eventually Chris Jericho realised that he wasn’t going to win this match any time soon, and with his GWF World Championship defence against DDP only a day away Chris Jericho resorts to what he knows best, cheating. Distracting Brian Hebner Chris Jericho low-blows Dave Finlay before locking him in the walls of Jericho. With the cheap shot in, an in a lot of pain, Dave Finlay raises his hand and taps out to Chris Jericho. He quickly leaves the ring and celebrates his win walking up the ramp as we head backstage for the first time tonight. Just like last week Jack Evans is in firm control of the match from the start, with Nick Mitchell looking completely out of his depth. The finish came when Nick Mitchell got a rare bit of offence in, kicking Jack Evans squarely in the chin and then rolling him up, putting his feet on the ropes for added leverage. Charles Robinson doesn’t see this and counts the three count giving Nick Mitchell his second win here in GWF. I’m going to show you all what wrestling is really about. This Sunday Jeff Hardy is going to be out of his element, because he’s going to be in a wrestling match and not a side show attraction. I’m going to beat you Jeff, by either making you tap out or pinning your shoulders to the mat, it doesn’t matter which. Chris Jericho is now dressed in his suit, after his match with Dave Finlay earlier tonight. Before he can say anything his opponent for GWF: Resurrection makes his way down for his match. The two have a stare down in the middle of the ring, before Chris Jericho raises the mic to his mouth. Chris Jericho: “Congratulations Diamond, you thought you would get one over on me by having Dave Finlay as you choice. But like everything you do it failed. It’s time for your match. It’s time, it’s time Ohh it’s VADER TIME.” DDP’s face visibly falls as Chris Jericho continues to laugh. Instead of going to the back though he sits at the announcers table, which pleases Don Callis very much. Chris Jericho is still laughing as the monster from the Rocky Mountains Vader walks down the ramp. Vader continues to blow spot after spot, so much that DDP can’t even salvage this match. Chris Jericho is beside himself at the announcers table, he’s like a little kid at a birthday party he’s enjoying himself that much watching Vader decimate DDP. However halfway through this match Joey Styles points out Kimberly Page doesn’t look to be enjoying herself that much, in fact every time Vader lands a move on DDP she visibly grimaces. Chris Jericho’s laughter immediately stops as he watches Kimberly Page come almost to tears as DDP gets beaten from one side of the ring to another. Back in the ring Vader looks to try to hit a suplex, but DDP has other ideas. With his last bit of energy DDP manages to fight out of the move, and along the way plant Vader with a diamond cutter. Chris Jericho can’t believe it, and as DDP goes for a cover he springs over the announcers table and pulls Charles Robinson out of the ring. Charles Robinson immediately calls for the DQ, but Chris Jericho doesn’t care he shoves Robinson down to the ground as he gets in the ring. Vader gets back to his feet, and Chris Jericho motions him to go up to the rope, and he drags DDP over to them. To add insult to injury Chris Jericho runs to the ropes and come flying off of them with a lion-sault on the beaten and bloodied DDP. Chris Jericho just stands over the body of DDP, and spits on him, before leaving the ring. Vader does the same but as he gets to the top of the ring he turns back to the ring. GWF: Resurrection Preview
–vs.- Juvetud Guerrera –vs.- James Gibson #1 Contenders Match for the GWF Cruiserweight Championship After loosing the GWF Cruiserweight Championship last month to Frankie Kazarian, Juventud Guerrera has not been able to have his rematch for the championship. Frankie Kazarian has told GWF President Eric Bischoff that if he tries to give Juventud Guerrera his rematch then he will walk out of GWF with the GWF Cruiserweight Championship. Eric Bischoff, not taking kindly to this threat, doesn’t believe that Frankie Kazarian has the guts to walk out of GWF so has made this match. Juventud Guerrera –vs.- James Gibson, the winner will become the number one contender to the GWF Cruiserweight Championship, that is if we still have a champion if Juventud Guerrera wins this match. -vs.- Peter Gruner –vs.- Frankie Kazarian© GWF Cruiserweight Championship Speaking of the GWF Cruiserweight Championship this match has just been signed after what happened on the last GWF: Breakthrough. In their match this past Saturday Peter Gruner actually pinned the GWF Cruiserweight Champion Frankie Kazarian, after a distraction by Juventud Guerrera. As a result GWF President Eric Bischoff has made this match. Can lightening strike twice for Peter Gruner? –vs.- Marc Mero –vs.- Nick Mitchell Since GWF: Fight to the Death Marc Mero had been attacked by a fan, that fan turned out to be Nick Mitchell. Two weeks ago on GWF: Breakthrough Marc Mero finally got his answer to why Nick Mitchell was attacking him. Mitchell explained the he had grown up idolising Marc Mero, but when he saw him at GWF: Fight to the Death he realised that he had spent his entire life idolising a looser. Later that same night Eric Bischoff made a match between Jack Evans and Nick Mitchell, if Nick Mitchell won he would get a job here in GWF, and would face his idol at GWF: Resurrection. That match ended with Marc Mero helping Nick Mitchell get a job to make sure he could face his attacker. Marc Mero has said that he will prove that he is not a looser, while Nick Mitchell is looking for revenge for Mero making him believe that he was good. & –vs.- & Paul London & Spanky© -vs.- Sean O’Haire & Mark Jindrak GWF Tag Team Championships After failing to win the GWF World Championship Tournament, and failing to beat Jeff Hardy at GWF: Fight to the Death in a cage match, Sean O’Haire has said it is time to get his plan to become GWF World Champion back on track. Stage one of his plan went perfectly, he got this match signed after attacking Paul London and Spanky after their match two weeks ago on GWF: Breakthrough. Stage two of O’Haire’s plan involves become the GWF Tag Team Champions, which may not be so easy. Paul London and Spanky have been on a roll in the tag team ranks of GWF, but Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak will be their biggest competition to date. Can the tag team champions manage to successfully defend their championships, or will stage two go according to plan? –vs.- Jeff Hardy –vs.- CM Punk After kicking Sean O’Haire off of the cage last month at GWF: Fight to the Death Jeff Hardy challenged Chris Jericho to a GWF World Championship match. The man who answered that challenge was CM Punk. Punk went on to say that just because he kicked Sean O’Haire off of that cage doesn’t automatically grant him a shot at the GWF World Championship. The two men would face each other in a match the next week, and after CM Punk had said he was taking a stand for professional wrestling, CM Punk smashed a steel chair over the head of Jeff Hardy. CM Punk has promised to take a stand for professional wrestling, and has promised a wrestling match here tonight at GWF: Resurrection, with no aerobatics, no steel chairs, and no steel cages. CM Punk wants to make a point, that people like Jeff Hardy don’t belong in a wrestling ring, he says they belong in a circus. Will CM Punk’s stand truly start tonight, or will Jeff Hardy prove he deserves a shot at the GWF World Championship? –vs.- Ken Shamrock –vs.- Chris Kanyon Street Fight In their match at GWF: Fight to the Death Ken Shamrock was robbed of his revenge by Rick Knoxx. Chris Kanyon was just about to tap out to Ken Shamrock, when Rick Knoxx returned and helped his friend Chris Kanyon to win that match. Tonight at GWF: Resurrection Ken Shamrock gets his second chance this time in a street fight, the first one ever in GWF. However Chris Kanyon is more than confident, after an attack with a lead pipe two weeks ago Ken Shamrock hasn’t been seen in GWF. Chris Kanyon explained that it was this very pipe that he took Ken Shamrock out with at GWF: No Remorse, and it’s this pipe he’s bringing to GWF: Resurrection. This pipe has caused Ken Shamrock serious injury twice already will he risk it a third time, or will Ken Shamrock finally get his revenge on Chris Kanyon and fulfil his vow of breaking Chris Kanyon’s ankle? –vs.- W/ Diamond Dallas Page –vs.- Chris Jericho© W/ Kimberly Page GWF World Championship Where to start? When Ken Shamrock was attacked at GWF: No Remorse everyone thought it was Chris Jericho who had attacked him, they were all wrong. Everyone who had accused him of attacking Ken Shamrock had apologised, everyone that is apart from DDP. Chris Jericho delivered an ultimatum to DDP, either he apologises or he would go for his weak spot and in a generous offer gave DDP one week to decide. When that week was up DDP still refused to apologise, so Chris Jericho went for his weak spot, in the form of his ex-wife Kimberly Page. After beating DDP down Chris Jericho announced that the two of them would fight at GWF: Resurrection and Kimberly Page would be in his corner. The only thing that everyone wanted to know was why was Kimberly page helping Chris Jericho? The answer came the next week. Kimberly allured to some incident back in WCW with Scott Steiner and DDP didn’t protect her and she wanted revenge, or at least that is what she said. Last Saturday was a different story all together, as after being demolished by Vader and Chris Jericho Kimberly Page rushed to make sure her former husband was ok. Chris Jericho has got to be worried, as now Kimberly Page might be more a distraction for him rather than a distraction for DDP.
Credit: GWF.com --------------------- OK it that time again. It’s predicition contest time. So if that makes sense there’s twenty points available, but since I have already named the next month’s PPV there’s a new prize this time. Whoever gets the most points get to choose the stipulations for a match, of my choosing, at the next GWF PPV. So here are the questions. 1. What is the first match? 2. Will anyone debut with the company? 3. Who will Kimberly Page side with in the main event? ---------------------
I'm almost drooling at the prospect of a CM Punk/Chris Jericho team, that would rock in real life.
You’re right it would be a brilliant team in real life, but sadly it looks like it will never happen.
awesome diary

wow i just read through this whole thing pretty good ill be reading the rest
Cheers for the feedback dudes. It’s really good to know that someone other than myself is enjoying this :D.
