[B]BACKSTORY PART 1---YOUR PROMOTION[/B] "You want me to do what?" My face turned red. "A promotion, this is hardly a promotion!?" I continued to make an ass out of myself in front of my boss. "I've been helping you run these great programs, show after show, and then you come in here and get my hopes up by telling me [I]'I'm giving you a promotion'[/I] and then you tell me to pack my stuff, what kind of a sick person are you?!" I finally took a breath to hear what he had to say. "I'm Dan Stone, and I perfer not to be interrupted." My boss told me with a smirk on his face. "Now as I was saying, you've been one of our top writters here, but since we've been getting more and more writters, we need you to back your bags." He smiled deeper and opened his mouth before I interrupted him again. "See, there you go, you're telling me that you taking youth over proof. I have proof, my proof is on Wednesday Night, when all those people tune in to see some of [I]my[/I] storylines! Why are you trying to fix something that isn't broken!? I'm not asking for more than 100 USD a show, and now you're sending me out? What is wrong with you..., don't tell me Mr. Cornell bought us out." I didn't want to hear that, but a part of me wanted it so my realtionship with Dan would stay friendly. "No, no." He said. I was about ready to start cursing him out before he continued. "I AM giving you a new promotion...a new wrestling promotion." My face started to turn it's normal color and a tiny smile struck my lips. "Wait up, let me guess, you're going to send me all the people you don't want, and send me down somewhere in Mexico until they improve, well, I'm not into that, I want people to see my stories, not just a crowd of 200 people. I want to show off talent, not people with the in ring skills of you..." I started my anrgy rant again. "I think you should keep your mouth shut for a while, or you will have no job at all. I've opened up a promotion in San Diego in with the Stone Family riches. We've set it up with 300,000 USD and we want you to try to make an impact in the states as we continue to hit Canada. Now, you must promise, no matter how big you guys get, you will not take any of our workers, you got it?" I nodded my head yes. "Alright, now go ahead, and get down there here are your tickets, once you get to the airport, follow these directions... (he hands me a piece of paper.) and that should take you to Jeremy's hotel, I sent him down for a couple days to help you get started, but after that, you're on your own." Don escorted me out of his office. The sound of computer keys filled the room, as the 'Championship Wrestling' script was getting near a finish. I took a box, and started dumping all my stuff in it. I was off to the airport... OOC: I've always wanted to start a Cornellverse dynasty, so here it is. My WWR Dynasty will still be first priority, but you can expect daily updates on this too.... [CENTER][B][SIZE="5"]BACKSTORY PART 2---WELCOME TO SAN DIEGO[/SIZE][/B][/CENTER] 6 hours later all my things were packed, and I took the bus to the airport and bought my ticket, and before long I was on my way to San Diego, where I was set to meet with Jeremy Stone. The long ride had me looking through an old script I had help create for NOBTPW. I smiled as I remembered the pops of the crowd, and the exciting finishes I was a part of making. "Maybe this is a good thing." I said aloud to myself as my steak dinner was handed to me. "Oh, trust me sir, it's the best you're going to taste." She smiled at me as I just smiled back not wanting to correct her by telling her I was talking to myself. The steak was long gone by the time I decided to go to bed, but I couldn't get myself asleep as thoughts of what I was to do with my own promotion kept filling my head. It was only 2 hours later when the captian's voice awoke everyone. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have landed in our destination." I smiled knowing that I was one step closer to being the big guy on campus. It wasn't until 7 hours later where I finally got to the spot Dan told me. While there I noticed Jeremy looking down at his watch. "What took you so long?" He said. "Airport security is crazy, you're just lucky I had my passport already, otherwise I would've taken a lot longer." I smiled, trying to set a better mood for the situation. He looked at me unhumored. "Well alright, This is where I've been staying, and Dan told me I am to treat you like royalty, so I rented out the biggest room in this hotel for you. I know you must be tired, and maybe a bit jet lagged, so go ahead and get some sleep, just meet me at The Snake Pit tomorrow morning at around 8, okay?" I nodded as he gave me my key card. That night was great, and I knew it was going to stay that way in the future as I was now away from my old shanty back in Canada, and from this point on, I wouldn't need two jobs to support myself, I was the man calling all the shots, I would be able to do anything, as long as I don't interfere with NOTBPW, or the Stone Family. I was a made man. I woke up to the alarm clock blarring at me and flashing 7:00. I hit the alarm off and got into the shower. 7:18 and I was out. I went to one of my bags and pulled out my blue pinstripped suit. "AWWWWWW WRINKLES!" I screamed . Afraid that I woke somebody up, I quitely went over to the ironing board so no one would have to hear anymore of my madness. It wasn't until 7:50 when I got every last wrinkle out and made sure I looked 100% presentable for Jeremy Stone. The Snake Pit was 25 minutes away and again I was late. When I finally arrived I found everyone in wrestling costumes. "Hey, if you don't want this job, there are thousands of others who will take it!." I heard Jeremy screaming. "No, no, I won't be late anymore, I promise." I said as I finally spotted him in the ring with about 10 other people. "Shawn, you're finally here! Nice to see you!" He said happily. "What, I thought you were just threating to fire me." I started to blush. "No, no, I was talking to this guy named Leo Davis, he just can't do a thing I tell him!" He told me as I breathed a sigh of relief. "Wait, what are all these people doing here, I thought you were out here to show me the ropes of management, not to train workers." I asked him. "I am, and all these people are out here because of you, they are trying out for your promotion." Jeremy pointed out. "Oh great! Let's see what they've got!" I smiled and rubbed my hands together. "Oh, no they are still warming up, right now I need to show you your new office." Jeremy grabbed my shoulder. "This way." I was escorted outside the arena where we walked across the street and turned right and continued for about 2 blocks until we got to an empty building that looked as bland as tofu. "Here you are." We walked in and opened a room where there was nothing but a chair, a calander, and a desk with two stacks of paper on it. "Now, I just need you to sign this." He picked up one of the stacks. "This is your contract. I looked over it and put my pen down to the paper before I noticed something in the fine print. "What's this?" "What?" he said. I pointed to the fine print. " Oh, that's just promising that you will give 30% of your company's profits to the Stone family. "What?!" My life seemed to have just gone from rags, to riches, and now the middle class. "Yeah, you can't expect for us to just let one of our best writters use our money to open a promotion... We need to make some money out of this too." That's when logic hit me, and I signed the paper. "Good, thanks, now this other stack of paper should tell you everything about your legal department, and everything else you need to know to be a wrestling promotion owner. But, for now let's get back to those auditioners, shall we?" We walked back to The Snake Pit and he took me back to a table right outside the ring. He pulled my chair out and I sat down. He sat next to me as 2 men entered the ring in generic looking black tights. "Which ones are these?" I asked. He handed me two sheets of paper with pictures of the workers in the ring attached. They went by the names Willie York and Leroy. "I don't know, they both look pretty good." I said after about 2 minutes into their mock match. "Are you kidding. Willie can't even make a punch look real. How about this, I'll look at the others while you go read that management paper, and buy some items for your office." "No, no, I'd like to know my talent." I told him. About 3 hours of watching no namers fight 5 minute matches, me and Jeremy agreed that the following 12 people would have further evaluation for a spot on the roster: 1. Kentucky Bill 2. Backstory Part 3 [CENTER][B]BACKSTORY PART 3 (First Half)---THE LOGO[/B][/CENTER] [SIZE="1"]I only did half of this part, as I am still working on my other diary's results, the second half will be up tomorrow.[/SIZE] I stretched my arms high in the air and yawned as I looked at my new office. "I've got a lot of work to do!" I told myself. I knew that the first matter of business was to actaully get a roster running so I looked down at my desk at the set of papers for the workers that we chose to evaluate further. Hmmm... I checked their arrest records. "Spotless, why don't I just pick them all up?" I picked up my cell phone and dialed Jeremey Stone... "Hey Shawn, what is it?" His voice came through in my earpiece. "Yes, I wanted to know if I should just offer all those workers contracts and do their blood tests and everything after they are signed." I asked. "Hey, you're in charge, just make sure you don't have a bloodfest match when one of the workers has HIV." he told me. "Alright, thanks." I said as I started emailing all the workers to set up an offical meeting... I had another great sleep that night, and this time I didn't get up until 11:00. With Jeremy on the plane ride back to Canada, I was finally by myself. I read through half of the managment guide that was on my desk before I went to bed, and before I went back into the office, I checked my phone. '1 Text Message Recieved!' I opened it and it was Jeremy. He told me to stop by at Clark's Graphic Designs and pick up an order in my name. I walked down to the place and I asked for the order. "Oh yes...Mr. Hallman....ummm. Oh, here you are. Yes, and here you go." The employee handed me a rolled up poster. I opened it up and it read 'CWL'. Awww, there we go. I grinned as I looked at the logo I was going to use. "Hey Jeremy, I've been looking for more workers, but I guess I just don't know how to find them." I told him. "Yeah, I kinda thought that would happen, that is why I am calling you. In a couple hours there should be some more people starting to come in your office. I found them here in Canada, and while they don't have what it takes to be in our promotion, I thought you might want to have a look at them." I grinned and began to reply. "Okay, I better get my office ready. Thanks and bye Jeremey!" I hung up and went to buy a couple asscesories for my office. I was going to meet with all the people I've wanted to sign in a matter of hours... I got back to where I had a decent office set up and a waiting room outside. People went in one by one. All deals went well and knowing that I had put together I checked my office mail to find a tape of NOTBPW. I smiled and popped it in my VCR. Overall I'd rate it a B. While watching it I noticed a huge sold out crowd and smiled as if I were looking into the future...

James starts to take charge with a couple of punches followed by a push down to an armlock. Nomad grabs the ropes and gets the break. James follows up by putting in a chinlock. James eventually breaks the hold and goes up to the top rope and hits a missile dropkick. The crowd starts a Mickey chant as Mickey goes for a pin. 1......2.... Bailey runs in and breaks it up. The ref gives him a warning and sends him back to the corner. The crowd boos as Nomad finally gets back on offence with a hard uppercut that knocks James out. Nomad whips James into the ropes and leap frogs him and as he comes back Nomad jumps off the second rope and hits a crossbody. Nomad tags in Bailey. Zeus then felxes for the crowd and power whips Raphael into the corners a couple times before he started posing for the crowd. Raphael took this time to crawl over to tag in Jack Giedroyc. Giedroyc used his power moves against Zeus which kept the momentum pretty even. Zeus finally fell down after the two had a long grapple. Giedroyc hit a lionsault and went for a pin. 1....2.Zeus throws Jack off of him and tags in Threepwood. Threepwood took offence and quickly dominated. Jack tagged in Raphael again, and CH was all over him. Threepwood then went over and whispered something into Zeus's ear. The two constantly tagged each other back in taking turns beating Raphael down. Raphael tagged in Canadian Dragon who was beaten down by the tactic. Zeus and Threepwood continuosly tagged each other in quickly, not giving Dragon a chance for a single move. With the ref trying to keep up with all the action Flemmy goes in and helps the two beat him down. It's an all out 3-on-1 as the ref is more worried about stopping Jack and Raphael from making further chaos. Out of no where Arabian music plays and everyone looks over at the enterance for Shiek Mustafa, but instead Mustafa comes from behind with a chair shot straight to Threepwood's skull. he pulled the other two out of the ring and disapeared before the ref was back into the ring action. Dee toses and turns as the action in the ring continues. Nuclear takes charge by headbutting Dee. Nuclear hits a couple stomps before picking up Williams by his hair and throwing him out of the ring. Nuclear taunts the crowd and starts to pick up some heel heat. Nuclear walks out of the ring and batters Williams into the metal post and throws him back in. He picks him up and hits the Mushroom Cloud. He goes for the pin. 1.......2.......3! Nuclear eliminates Williams. Dee gets mad and slams the pillow to the ground, as he can not fall asleep, so he enters the ring again and takes a big boot from Nuclear. He just gets right up and pretty much no-sells the whole thing. The crowd get behind Dee as Dee slowly hits a DDT. Dee goes for a pin that looks more like he just passed out. 1....2. kick out. Nuclear takes a moment to recoup and goes to the top rope. He hits a Shooting Star Press on Frankie. Heat punches his way out of it and hits a couple stiff kicks on Sgt. West. PRP gets up and superkick Heat. PRP plays with the crowd for a bit before picking Heat up and hitting a powerbomb. PRP goes for the pin. 1.....West gets up...2..West breaks the pin and starts stomping on the two men until PRP gets up. West throws PRP into a corner with strength and PRP falls down holding his back. West goes over to give more damage, but Heat gets back up and kicks West in the back of his leg knocking him down. Heat goes down and applies a chokehold but lets go before the ref reaches 5. Heat unwraps one of the turnbuckle covers behind the ref's back and goes to pick up PRP. He throw PRP into the corner, but PRP hangs on to Heat's hand and ends up throwing him into the corner. PRP bashes Heat's head into the exposed turnbuckle 3 times before Sgt. West runs over and gives a power suplex onto PRP. West walks over to Heat and goes for a pin. 1......2.....kick out. West gets angry and curses at the fans. West walks over to Heat again and locks in the Recon Wrench! [B]DUKE HAZARD:[/B] This may be the end right here! The ref lifts Heat's hand up twice without a reaction. The ref drops his hand for the third time, but PRP walks over and kicks West off. PRP beats down on West with punches and kicks. PRP then goes over to Heat and starts beating him down. More Aftermath I got back home and watched some DVR'd episodes of NOTBPW, I don't think they're gaining any popularity with their show without me, but it's solid none the less. It was hard to sleep that night due to a strom, but by the time I got up and left for my office, it was hot, humid, so I just took the air conditioned bus. personally I like the longer write ups. Reason being, if I only get a short paragraph or worse a copy/paste job from the game itself, it makes it feel like that is the only thing that has happened it the match. My diary "new era of danger and violence extreme" (the one at the top) has the full match write ups and so far no one has said anything about the amount of time it takes between posts. (I even brought up the same question, early on in mine). usually it takes me around two to three days to write a show report but I don't mind.(I go days without playing the game). In the end it really all depends on what you want.

glad to help, one thing I think that many don't think about if they do the shorter write ups, is that the matches are not playing out visually on a screen. because of this you have to really provide details to guide the "reader/fan" as to what is going on. for a real world example , take hogan vs. rock at WM 18, if you just mention that the rock defeated hogan with multiple rock bottoms, you completely miss the fact that even though he (rock) came into the match the face he was hated by the fans for most of the match (king brought that point up during the match). it was not until the very end they started to cheer him. something as simple as the fans reaction. that may change the way the reader views a certin wrestler. If your lucky you may get the fans wanting a rematch between the two, hopefully helping your ratings in game.

The all slide in at the same time and play with the crowd. The ref is forced to keep Zeus away for a pre-emptive strike. Kentucky Bill stays in the ring as Dragon and Williams go to stand on the apron. The ring bell sounds. Zeus starts off in control by locking in a quick headlock to start the match. Zeus keeps the hold locked in for a decent amount of time before Bill can actually reach the ropes. ROPEBREAK. 1....2.....3....4...Zeus breaks it just in time. Zeus stomps on Bill a couple times while he tries to get up. When Bill is up Zeus throws him into the corner where his team is. He puts Bill on the top rope and gets Flemmy and Nuclear to toss him to the ground as Zeus goes to the second rope on another corner and hits a missile dropkick as Bill is falling. Zeus starts to get the crowd booing loudly. He runs over to the downed Bill and applies a chicken wing. Bill almost taps out before Dragon and Williams storm the ring to help. The ref warns them and sends them back to their corner. While the ref brings the back Zeus low blows Bill and goes to tag in Flemmy. Flemmy starts to lock in some amatuer wrestling manuevers, but they are eventually reveresed as Bill tags in Canadian Dragon, who starts by jumping to the top rope and hitting a leg drop onto Flemmy. Dragon attempts a pin. 1.....2.kick out. Nuclear reaches his hand out just far enough to reach a tag from Flemmy. Nuclear starts off with a big boot to Dragon as Dragon goes flying down to the ground with a big collision. Nuclear hits a massive amount of strikes on the downed opponent before picking him up and powerslaming him straight into the ground. He goes for a pin. 1.....2........shoulder up about .2 seconds before the ref's hand reached 3. Nuclear drags Dragon outside and slams him into the barrier, the ref warns him and demands they get back into the ring. 1......2...3....4....5...6....7 After a couple more power moves Nuclear brings Dragon back inside the ring. He then tags in Zeus. Zeus goes for a superkick, but is ducked and countered with a roundhouse kick to the face. Zeus is out cold, but Dragon collapeses onto the mat. Java and Tribal Warrior taunt the crowd before Nomad slides back in and gets a low blow on both of them. Outside TJ Bailey and Mikey James brawl until James knocks Mikey down, climbs onto the barrier, and does a moonsault onto Bailey. When Mikey turns around, Jemma Griffiths kicks him down and spits in his face. AE slides in and uses the rings to bounce off and hit a crossbody on the just getting up Java and Tribal, and also hits Nomad. AE goes for a pin on Nomad. 1....2...Bailey runs in and breaks up the pin. The two cheer each other on. Bubba and Heat then push each other in the chest a couple of times trying to pump each other up, but the Heat finally ends up pushing West to the ground. He then laughs and changes expression to angry as he stomps on West a couple times before Westybrook comes back in and punches Heat. Heat turns around and grabs Westybrook's shoulders. Westybrook simply pushes him to the ground and applies a headlock. At this time West gets up and breaks the lock. West picks Westybrook up and throws him into a corner, then picks Heat up walks him over to the corner, and throws him head first into Westybrook. Bubba pins Westybrook. 1....kick out. Westybrook gets up and West tries to throw him into the corner again, but Westybrook reverse it and Bubba ends up going into the corner. Westybrook picks Bubba up again and throws him into the corner to where he is hanging upside down. Westybrook chokes Bubba with his foot and at this time Heat gets back to his feet and then helps Westybrook. The choke continues until Bubba eventually falls back to the mat. Heat then tries to punch Westybrook, but it is blocked. Westybrook hits a punch of his own.
