Misphit12
Is there a way to see who is one the list, or do you just see your position? Also what is the point to being ranked high? I was 44 after my first year and still can't get a look by any regional fed.
scorpio1018
wow, my highest was somewhat in the 200's and had multiple PPA-deals with mid-class feds...
Johnny_McSluggz
I was 77 in my first year, 19 in my second, and 17 in my third. The fourth year is coming around the corner. I think this is based 100% on match quality though, nothing to do with overness or things like that, the stuff that helps you get signed.
ShootTheMoon
After winning the BHOTWG World Title and going undefeated for the year, I was ranked only #80. So, I focused all my effort on match quality for a year (and swapped the title back and forth with Kikkawa and Bruce the Giant A-Hole) and rose to #1. Sometimes, you just have to carry an opponent a little to push that match rating up. The top 500 is a pure "match quality" rating. From a winning/overness standpoint, I had a better year when I was ranked #80 than when I was ranked #1. From my experience, to get ranked #1, you need to average around a "B" for match quality. (ie, at least 1 B+ for every B-). Frankly, I would only worry about the Top 500 after you have become a successful main eventer. While you are working your way up, it is more important just to win some matches and build that precious "overness".

Perhaps early on but my most important match so far I took a loss in SWF in a B+ match that resulted in me getting bumped from Opener to Lower Midcard and rose my overness up to 20 in countries I had never worked in.
