Canadian Golden Combat – A New Threat Author’s note- This is, of course, based on the fictional "Cornellverse" data. Some time ago I used CGC as a promotion and started a diary about it. I used the starting premise of the stable war between the DeColts and The Elite. Now I’m starting over, and in an effort to avoid a repeat I’ve jumped ahead to a fictionalized future where The DeColts face a new threat to their rule of CGC. On to the briefest of backstories... Canadian Golden Combat State of the Promotion January 1, 2007 2006 was a banner year for CGC. Not only was the CGC World Title reclaimed from the clutches of The Elite, but the notorious feud between said stable and the DeColt family was finally brought to an end after a storied existence. On December 31, 2006, in a special “Loser Leaves CGC” Year End Special, Alex DeColt defeated Dan DaLay to retain the CGC World Title and to put DaLay out of a job. The event was also the de facto end of The Elite. So as 2007 opens up, The DeColt family breathes a sigh of relief. With DaLay gone CGC can finally move forward as a unified promotion under the steady guidance of patriarch George and become the most dominant force in Canadian wrestling. But even now there are rumblings of trouble in CGC. Dark thoughts and motivations that, unbeknownst to the DeColts, will soon rise and once again threaten all they hold dear. This threat, once revealed, will not only have the potential to do an exponential amount more damage to CGC than the Elite ever did, it will impact the entire wrestling industry.

Having used CGC a lot in my recent diary, I'm keen to see how you're going to handle them given that you've stepped away from the focal storyline feud that almost defines the promotion. The backstory might be short, but it's very suspenseful so I'll be looking forward to the next update.

07 January 2007 CGC Title Bout Wrestling A New Era… The first edition of Title Bout Wrestling for the new year started off with CGC’s first family, the DeColts, coming out in their entirety to the ring. Each looked jubilant and they spent a good five minutes just getting situated in the ring and posing with each other for photos and other greeting opportunities with the fans. For their part, the CGC audience showed it’s ever-strong love for Alex, Steve, Jack and Ricky. Finally Alex, the CGC World champ, grabbed a microphone and encouraged the fans to have a seat. As soon as the noise died down a little bit he launched into a celebration with the declaration of “We won!!!” This, of course, brought the fans to their feet for another lengthy ovation. After that Alex continued, describing the feud with the Elite that had lasted for years. At every turn The Elite had been there to foil the plans of George DeColt and his sons. They had frustrated ambitions and prevented CGC from moving forward and becoming the greatest wrestling promotion in Canada and the world! But now they were gone! At this point Steve took the microphone from Alex and after he received an ovation of his own he said that there was one person who everyone had to thank for the Elite’s demise, and that was his brother Alex! Alex had taken on Dan DaLay, leader of the Elite, on New Year’s Eve and defeated him in a loser leaves CGC match. And by getting rid of the head of the Elite, Alex had ensured the Elite would no more rise to challenge their father. CGC fans should get ready, because 2007 was a new year and would usher in the beginning of a new ear in CGC! Youth Energy vs. Soldiers of Fortune A battle between former CGC tag champs and the most promising young duo in CGC. This first match of 2007 was PPV quality as all CGC performers seemed eager to put on a good show in this “new era” of CGC. The heaviness that had always accompanied the pervading DeColt/Elite rivalry had vanished and it was carrying over from the locker room into the ring. After a 15 minute match SOF picked up the win when Chance pinned Shane Nelson after a Snake Eyes. Garcia looks for work Backstage hated Elite manager A.K. Garcia struts around in a new suit. If he is upset by the demise of the Elite he is not showing it. A wide smile is plastered on his face and he is evidently deaf to the booing of the CGC audience. He keeps walking a few moments before stopping. He smile grows even more broad as he exclaims “Just the man I was looking for!” The camera turns to find Ryan Powell sitting near a backstage refreshment table. He narrows his eyes but doesn’t speak as Garcia approaches. Garcia quickly states that with The Elite’s demise, it is time for him to move on. He always knew DaLay was a big loser and never should have hitched himself to that wagon for so long. Youth and talent were where the future of the wrestling industry were, not outdated ogres like DaLay. And no one, Garcia explained, had more raw talent than Ryan Powell. All that he needed was someone to help him effectively channel that talent. A.K. Garcia was that man. Garcia started going through a list of his credentials, how he had managed people to multiple CGC titles and such, but Powell cut him off in the middle by rising from his seat. He looked Garcia in the eye and said “If you get me the opportunities, I’ll make the most of them.” Garcia smiled and the two shook hands. Ryan Powell (w/A.K. Garcia) vs. Ed Monton After the commercial break Powell took on his pre-scheduled opponent, Ed Monton, with his new agent, A.K. Garcia in tow. Garcia cheered Powell on from ringside, looking impressed with his new client. Monton, the wily veteran that he is, fought back and began to take an advantage as the younger Powell over-extended himself. Things started to look bad for Powell, until his new manager jumped up onto the ring apron and engaged in an argument with referee Coach Norman. Norman, distracted by Garcia, did not see Powell tapping out to a figure four leglock Monton had locked on. Angered, Monton released the hold and went at Garcia, who managed to nimbly drop off the apron out of his reach. Powell rolled up Monton as he was distracted and got the win! Ryan quickly exited the ring and made his way to the back with his congratulatory manager. Awwww… Backstage in her locker room, the first lady of CGC, Hotstuff Marie was sitting on a couch flipping through a magazine. The door opened to usher in her long time boyfriend, Jack DeColt. Marie stood up to greet him, but Jack insisted she sit back down. Jack was visibly sweating and said that he could go out and speak and perform in front of thousands of people and never blink an eyelash, but right now his heart was beating out of his chest! Marie asked what was wrong but he said everything was right. He said for a long time they had been together and she had stuck by him through thick and thin. Through the whole fiasco with The Elite she had never left his side and had supported his whole family in their struggle. Well now that the Elite were taken care of, this was a time to get on with life and take care of some things. Things that should have been taken care of a long time ago. Inevitably he got down on one knee, produced a ring and asked Marie to be his wife! She cried. He cried. Many of the fans cried. And she said yes! The two embraced as a visibly choked up Jerome Turner signalled a commercial break. We’re still here… As CGC returns from commercial break The Elite’s music plays. Everyone is confused as to what was happening, until Eddie Chandler and John Maverick came out to the ring, dressed for action. They were booed and taunted the whole way to the ring. When they reached the ring, Chandler grabbed a microphone and said that maybe DaLay was gone, but he and Maverick were still there. They may have been abandoned by Garcia, but they were still here to make sure sickening displays like the little engagement we just saw never happened in CGC. They said that the DeColts still had a major problem and if they wanted to deal with it they could settle it right now. They were silenced as the fans exploded as Steve DeColt’s music hit! Steve and Ricky DeColt vs. Eddie Chandler and John Maverick Steve and Ricky launched themselves into the ring and a four man brawl broke out. The DeColts looked fresh and worked in perfect tandem, while the vestiges of the Elite looked off balance and outclassed. They could not get it together, and when John Maverick botched a kneedrop from the second turnbuckle, Ricky quickly capitalized and hit the DeColt 45! While Steve and Chandler brawled around the outside the ref counted the pin and the DeColts finished the job in less than 5 minutes. The rest of the brothers and Marie hit the ring and were ecstatic, now clearly the most dominant force in CGC! Maverick walked shamefully to the back, while Chandler just sat at ringside shaking his head, in utter disbelief of what things had come to. The DeColts began inviting fans into the ring to celebrate with them as Title Bout Wrestling went off the air with Jerome Turner saying it would be a great new era in CGC with the DeColts triumphant! 08 January 2007 Some roster news from CGC today as legendary Canadian independent performer “Trademark” Thomas Morgan signed a two year deal. Morgan, long a talented free agent, has wandered about never finding the success he deserves for years. It is hoped CGC can be the platform for Morgan’s success. 09 January 2007 With The Elite out of the way CGC is now able to concentrate on new endeavours. Nowhere is this more evident than the recent attempt to branch out into women’s competition. Some CGC staff are hesitant to make the change so in lieu of signing anybody to written contracts an open call for tryouts has been issued to various free agent women wrestlers in Canada to see if any worthwhile talents emerge.

14 January 2007 CGC Title Bout Wrestling Eddie Chandler vs. Shooter Sean Deeley The show kicked off with Deeley already in the ring. Chandler then made his way to the ring looking exceptionally angry as the crowd taunted and ridiculed him. He grabbed one fan’s sign that had a derogatory message pertaining to the Elite and tore it up. Once the match was underway, Chandler dominated. Deeley, the young technical expert, tried to put up a fight, but he was really outmatched by Chandler. In the end Chandler got the victory with an MDK powerbomb. He left as soon as the three count fell, anxious to get out of sight, still stinging with embarrassment from the last few weeks happenings. Tag Team Specialists Youth Energy made their way to the ring before their match and took the opportunity to address the crowd. They said the whole mood of CGC had changed and it was an exciting time to be a young superstar because there was a general mood backstage that things were happening and moving forward. To that end they wanted to make their intentions known as the most talented young tag team in CGC that they wanted a shot at The Specialists and the tag gold. The crowd, especially the young ladies in attendance, were really behind their ambition. Youth Energy vs. The Gilbert Brothers Not to be outdone, the Gilbert Bros. put up a good case in the ring for their own rights to the CGC tag titles. From bell to bell this match generally involved all four men in the ring and it was soon clear that referee Farrah Hesketh had lost control of the match. After dumping Joe Gilbert outside the ring, Youth Energy took advantage and double-teamed Jesse. Rivera hit a swinging neck-bomb and got the win for YE. Powell and Garcia demand recognition After the commercial break the show returns to A.K. Garcia and his new client Ryan Powell backstage. Garcia says that last week Ryan Powell defeated one of the most storied wrestlers in CGC history cleanly in the centre of the ring. He said that Ryan Powell is the future of CGC and deserves the respect of everyone here in CGC. Powell lived up to his nickname “The Shooting Star” and he should be given the chance to shoot clear to the top of CGC. That is why A.K. Garcia was appealing directly to George DeColt in this supposed “new era” of CGC to really level the playing field and give his client a shot at the CGC World Title! Eve Grunge vs. Kristabel Plum This was the first in a series of women’s exhibition matches that will determine if CGC expands to include a women’s division. The two competitors were arguably the most talented in the pool of those who had signed up to compete. The two employed a variety of impressive holds. Plum hooked Grunge in an abdominal stretch and took the opportunity to insult what she felt was a particularly unattractive crowd. The audience roared with approval as Grunge hip-tossed her way out of the hold. In the end that wouldn’t be enough as Plum got the win after a huracanrana. She continued to insult the crowd all the way to the locker room. Ricky DeColt© vs. John Maverick – CGC Canadian Title Match Maverick demanded this match after having been pinned by Ricky last week. Maverick, a former CGC World champion, was embarrassed at having lost to the young upstart and looking forward to teaching him a lesson one-on-one in the ring. Ricky played the match smart and took the advice of his veteran brothers. Maverick, arguably the best technician in CGC, tried to ground the high-flying DeColt early and punish him with painful submissions. Ricky kept two steps ahead, always dancing out of Maverick’s reach and using hit and run tactics. Maverick grew frustrated and threw Ricky into the corner where he sandwiched the ref. Seizing the opportunity without an official, Maverick retrieved a chair from outside the ring. As he approached Ricky in the corner DeColt suddenly sprang to life. In one fluid motion he leapt to the top turnbuckle and delivered a missile dropkick, driving the chair back into Maverick’s face, knocking him out cold. By this time the referee had recovered enough to count and declare Ricky the winner for a second straight week! Lights out… After the match Ricky celebrated with his Canadian title, playing it like a guitar and other nonsense. This lasted until all of a sudden the lights went out. The crowd, thinking CGC was caught up with the power company started chanting “pay your bills, pay your bills!” No one really thought much of the outage and since it was at the end of the show Jerome Turner began thanking the fans for joining them. After another moment the lights went up. There in the ring Ricky DeColt lay face down next to the still unconscious form of John Maverick. His long blond hair was matted with blood from a messy looking scalp wound. The Canadian title was nowhere to be found and stuffed in his mouth looked to be a balled up piece of paper. For a few moments both Jerome Turner and the live crowd sat in stunned silence at what they beheld before the CGC announcer began screaming for medical help as Ricky DeColt had been brutalized! ------------------------ That does it for another edition of CGC Title Bout Wrestling. Thanks for the encouragement so far. Here are confirmed matches for next week's card: Ed Monton & Whippy the Clown vs. Soldiers of Fortune Can the face-painted toughs take down the unlikely duo of CGC's most no-nonsense tough guy and it's most zany character? Young Leo vs. Ryan Powell Which of these two young talents will prove to be the most promising CGC prospect? Nikki Power vs. Principessa The second in our series of women's tryout matches. Steve & Jack DeColt vs. The Specialists(c) - CGC Tag Team Title Match Can the champs defend their titles successfully against this star-powered team? Plus... An update on the status of Ricky DeColt. Who attacked him? Why? Where is the Canadian title? What was written on the paper found in his mouth? Wild speculation and finger-pointing encouraged!

So far, so good. Assuming you've pretty much just edited the original data and set it to be 2007, I'm going to get started finger pointing and accusing people right about now... Its was him! And by him, I mean Dark Angel! And Tim Westybrook.... and probably some other people who I should be able to think of but haven't yet gotten around to. And I don't know about you, but I reckon The Natural would be a great signing for CGC, especially as you need some top drawing heel power to replace DaLay. Derek B

21 January 2007 CGC Title Bout Wrestling An unlikely pair… CGC Title Bout Wrestling opens up with a shot of Whippy the Clown and Ed Monton making their way backstage towards the ring. Whippy takes time out to squirt some passing workers with a huge flower pinned to his ring attire. Everyone seems to be enjoying the antics except Ed Monton. He sighs and shakes his head in disgust. He asks Whippy just how they ended up teamed up together tonight. Whippy says he guesses its just cause George DeColt needed some curtain-jerking fodder to feed to Soldiers of Fortune. This did not impress Monton any more. He asked Whippy if he thinks wrestling is a joke. Whippy said he does. Monton told Whippy to knock off the pranks and pay attention tonight out there, he just might learn something. Ed Monton & Whippy the Clown vs. Soldiers of Fortune The match didn’t start off very well for Ed and Whippy. Monton softened up Chance in the ring for a while, but when he finally and reluctantly tagged in Whippy the former CGC tag champs really did a number on the Clown. Monton just stood on the ring apron shaking his head, anxious for the match to be over. He let the beating continue until the two were about to hit Fortune’s Fool on Whippy. Then, reluctantly, Monton dove into the ring and clotheslined Chance over the top rope. He followed him outside and laid a beating on him out there. While Fate stood wondering what to do for a moment inside the ring, Whippy recovered enough and hit a surprise Huri-Clown-Rana! He covered Fate and got the three count! Monton and Chance turned and looked on in disbelief. Whippy leapt over the top rope and onto Monton, ecstaticly celebrating their victory! Accusations and challenges… Backstage Eddie Chandler stands at a locker, unpacking his things for the night. There is suddenly a commotion at the door. He looks up and sees Alex DeColt trying to burst into the room, but being restrained by several security guards. DeColt was livid and screaming at Chandler, accusing him of undertaking the brutal attack that left Ricky DeColt a bloody mess last week and stealing the Canadian title. He said Chandler was despicable and that Ricky was just a kid. Chandler said that he didn’t do a thing, he was on the road well before the end of the show last week when the attack took place. And secondly, if Ricky was going to step into a CGC ring he deserved whatever he got! DeColt called Chandler a liar and said he wanted him in the ring, one on one. Chandler said the only way he would step into the ring with Alex was if he put the CGC World Title on the line. Alex said if that was what it took he had a deal! The two glared and shouted some more obscure threats as security finally managed to drag DeColt from the room. Nikki Power vs. Principessa This was the second match in the women’s division tryout. Power already had immense popularity with the Canadian fans and showed a great display of power when she gorilla pressed Principessa for the win. Who is the real Shooting Star? For the third time in as many weeks, A.K. Garcia appeared alongside Ryan Powell, declaring him to be the young superstar with the most potential in CGC. He said there was no one in the promotion under the age of 30 who even came close to being in Powell’s league and the big shots in CGC had better recognize that. Powell would continue to leave disgraced and defeated opponents in his wake all the way to the top. Garcia was (thankfully) cut off at this point as Young Leo came out onto the ramp and said everyone was sick and tired of hearing Garcia rant on and on about how great Powell was. Leo stated that contrary to their belief, Powell was not the brightest CGC star under 30, Young Leo was! Powell challenged Leo to come to the ring and prove it, but Leo was already on his way! Young Leo vs. “The Shooting Star” Ryan Powell Young Leo did a lot to back up his claim and took the fight to Powell in the early stages. Powell was expecting an easy fight, but Leo proved that there are plenty of other great CGC wrestlers besides “The Shooting Star”. Leo went for a Tumble Weed Leg Drop but Powell rolled out of the way. From there it went downhill for Leo as he eventually wound up on the receiving end of the Ambush Bulldog. Powell got the win and the continued bragging rights. The DeColts speak about Ricky… Backstage Steve and Jack DeColt and Hotstuff Marie gave an update on Ricky DeColt’s condition. Steve said there was thankfully no serious damage done in the attack, just some stitches and that Ricky should be back as early as next week. Jack said that the Canadian title was still missing and that when the DeColt’s got their hands on whoever was responsible they would make him pay. Right now they had no reason to suspect anybody but Eddie Chandler. He was the only one who had any motive to do it in the wake of The Elite’s disbanding. Marie said she couldn’t wait until Alex got him in the ring next week. Both Jack and Steve said they would love to have the opportunity themselves, but would have to make due with taking their frustrations out tonight on the tag team champs, The Specialists. Steve & Jack DeColt (w/Hotstuff Marie) vs. The Specialists© - CGC World Tag Team Title Match The tag champs faced their biggest challenge yet as they took on the DeColt brothers, both of whom are former CGC World champions. The brothers had an extra does of aggression in their fight tonight and worked efficiently as a team against a duo that has the reputation as being the best teamworkers in the business. After about 15 minutes it was clear that The Specialists were beginning to be knocked off their game. Again and again the DeColts would outwit them and land them in troubling situations. Jack locked the End of Days on Bobby Thomas and it looked like lights out. Actually…it was lights out…as in the lights went out in the arena again for the second straight week. Jerome Turner started freaking out that it was happening again. When the lights came up after a few moments, Steve Decolt was unconscious at ringside! Seeing the opportunity to get away with some uninhibited double-teaming, Nate Johnson broke into the ring and broke up the hold Jack still had on Thomas. Jack got up and began fighting off Johnson. When Bobby Thomas recovered, Jack switched his focus to him. For a few minutes he succeeded in fighting off both Specialists while his brother lay out cold at ringside. Eventually fatigue became a factor, and the Specialists, no slouches in the ring, caught up to Jack. They continued to double team him for a while, ignoring the ref’s repeated warnings until they executed the Specialist Touch and picked up the win to retain their titles. After the match Marie tried to revive both Jack and Steve while Jerome Turner lamented the continued attacks on the DeColt family and wondered if even Eddie Chandler was capable of this mayhem. --------------------------------------------------- CGC News Updates • CGC is proud to announce its first big event of 2007, ELIMINATION, which will take place Friday, February 9. No matches have as of yet been scheduled, but keeping watching for updates. • CGC is also pleased to announce the signing of Valentine. Whippy takes time out to squirt some passing workers with a huge flower pinned to his ring attire. Everyone seems to be enjoying the antics except Ed Monton. He sighs and shakes his head in disgust. 28 January 2007 CGC Title Bout Wrestling Valentine vs. Grimm Quibble The show opened up with Jerome Turner and Roger Rogers welcoming everybody to the show. They indicated that Grimm Quibble was already in the ring awaiting his opponent, Valentine, who was making his return to CGC. Valentine entered the arena, looking very happy to be back. It took him a good two minutes to get to the ring because of the vast number of advances he made towards young ladies unfortunate enough to have ringside seats. He rolled into the ring and continued playing to the ladies in the audience. Quibble had seen quite enough and dropkicked Valentine from behind to start the match. Once Valentine turned his attention to actually wrestling the two young talents put on quite a display of athletic ability. In the end, however, Valentine hit Quibble with a new move called the Cupid’s Arrow and picked up the win. Striking out with the ladies… After the match as Valentine made his way to the back he passed Kristabel Plum on her way to the ring. He made some kind of advance towards her but was knocked flat on his backside as a result. This, at least, delighted the crowd. Plum got into the ring and took a microphone. She said that since her debut in CGC she had been sickened by a couple of things. First off, the lack of competition from the other so-called “women’s wrestlers” who received tryouts. It was utterly ridiculous that tonight she had to face someone who went around dressed as a lion. What was this, some kid’s Halloween party? And the second thing that made her sick was the sheer unattractiveness of the CGC fans. This earned her a chorus of resounding boos as she picked on some particularly ugly fans seated at ringside. Plum said that George DeColt had better hurry up and offer her a big contract so she could work on correcting these problems by attracting better competitors and a prettier fan base. Kristabel Plum vs. “The Lion Queen” Roz Larren After the tirade before the match the crowd was firmly behind Larren in this match. They cheered as she took an early advantage of Plum, stunning her with a spinning heel kick initially and then following up with other high impact offence. After she missed a moonsault, however, Plum regained the initiative. She locked Larren in a Boston Crab and from her relaxed position continued to hurl insults at the crowd. After a few moments Larren was forced to tap out. Plum held the move on until the official, Farrah Hesketh physically broke the hold. Plum got up in her face, but backed down after a further verbal warning. She delivered a swift kick to the ribs of the still down Roz Larren before making her way to the back. Ricky update… After the break Jerome Turner informed us that earlier this week he had the chance to sit down with CGC Canadian champ Ricky DeColt for an interview in the fallout of the attack visited upon him two weeks ago. The taped interview aired from Ricky’s home. His hair was pulled back and one could clearly see the stitches from where he had been hit on the head. Ricky talked about how his recovery was coming along speedily and he would be back in action within the month. Turner questioned him about who he thought attacked him and DeColt said he could think of no one who would have any motive except for Eddie Chandler. The similar attack on his brother Steve last week had just reaffirmed that in his mind. Turner asked him if there had been any word on the whereabouts of the Canadian title. DeColt said there had not, but that he was still Canadian champ and that anyone else who had that belt was nothing more than a thief and had not earned it. Finally Turner asked DeColt about the paper that had been stuffed in his mouth after the attack. DeColt said that was perhaps the most disturbing piece of the whole puzzle. He said on the paper had been written “February 4 – Another message will be delivered…” The show then returned to the live action and Jerome Turner said that if that message were to be believed then in one week’s time whoever attacked Ricky and Steve DeColt should be poised to act again. Whippy tries to be friends… From that ominous note the show turned to a more light-hearted segment. Backstage Ed Monton was warming up for his upcoming match. Whippy the Clown suddenly burst into the room. He carried a bunch of treats from the concession stand and tried to offer them to his “new best buddy” Ed. Monton asked if he was joking, that they had a match coming up and shouldn’t be filling themselves with junk food. He asked Whippy if he had any kind of pre-match ritual or warm-up. Whippy replied just gorging himself on hot dogs, cotton candy and soda pop. Monton shook his head and said that last week their victory over Soldiers of Fortune had been a total fluke and that maybe after a disastrous showing this week the bookers at CGC would stop with this ridiculous idea of pairing them together. Whippy seemed oblivious to Monton’s insults as he happily chowed down on more candy. Ed Monton & Whippy the Clown vs. The Gilbert Brothers This week Ed allowed Whippy to start the match off. The Clown showed that he is more than just a big joke as he took to the air against Jesse Gilbert. Whippy brought Jesse down with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and tagged in Monton. The veteran punished both Gilberts further, smashing their heads together and knocking Joe off the apron. Whippy came in and he and Monton pulled off some impressive double-team moves on their opponent. Joe Gilbert retrieved his hockey stick from ringside and brought it into the ring. He approached Whippy from behind and was ready to smack the clown with it but Monton saw the attack coming and pushed Whippy out of the way. The stick ended up smoking Joe’s brother right in the head as he was rising from the mat. In the confusion Ed took Joe out with a spear and Whippy covered Jesse for the win. After the match Monton shook his head in disbelief at what he had done while Whippy capered around declaring that Ed had saved his life and that this proved they were best friends. Eddie Chandler vs. Alex DeColt© - CGC World Title Match Chandler made his way to the ring first and when it was Alex’s turn he bolted down the aisle, tossing aside the World title as he did. He slid into the ring and tackled Chandler and set the tone for the entire match. Chandler, who is used to using his technical expertise to dismantle an opponent, was forced to engage in a toe-to-toe melee for the entire match. The two fought outside the ring where Chandler quickly turned the tables by throwing DeColt into the ring post. He rolled the champ back to the inside and looked to wear him down by applying the Fabulous Stretch. DeColt resisted the move, but Chandler had it locked on solid in the centre of the ring. Steve DeColt ran down to ringside and began cheering his brother. Slowly but surely, DeColt forced his way to the ropes and grabbed on, forcing Eddie to break the hold. Steve DeColt applauded his brother, which Chandler took particular exception to. He spat at Steve, prompting DeColt to jump up onto the ring apron and get in Chandler’s face. The ref tried to separate them, but Chandler took a swing at Steve. Steve ducked and then connected with a right hand of his own. The referee quickly called for the bell and awarded Chandler the bout by DQ. Steve climbed into the ring and together he and Alex set out to give Chandler the beating of his life. They beat him down, Alex apparently not disappointed at all with the result of the match. They finally pitched Chandler out of the ring and left him lying on the floor. Another attack… As the DeColt brothers congratulated themselves on this inside of the ring the scene switched to backstage inside of a trashed locker room. There, sprawled on the floor amidst the wreckage lay Jack DeColt! Not too far from him his fiancé Hotstuff Marie lay unconscious as well. Jerome Turner screamed how could this be, Eddie Chandler was out in the ring this whole time! He couldn’t have been the attacker! The show ended with Alex and Steve still celebrating on the inside of the ring, oblivious to what had transpired backstage. Additional CGC news: • Immediately after this week’s edition of Title Bout Wrestling, Kristabel Plum held a meeting with George and Alex DeColt and revealed that she had a drug problem. This is a real shame since Plum is a talented athlete who had a bright future ahead of her in CGC. Even though she is only on a pay-per appearance contract, the DeColts assured Plum that her job would still be there when she got her life together. And on the next edition of Title Bout Wrestling... Ed & Whippy vs. Youth Energy vs. Soldiers of Fortune vs. The Gilbert Brothers A fatal fourway tag team match to determine the number one contenders for the CGC tag titles. Will Eddie Chandler seek vindication? What will be the nature of the "message" delievered by the DeColt's attacker? And who deserves a World title shot on the upcoming Elimination card?

Even though she is only on a pay-per appearance contract, the DeColts assured Plum that her job would still be there when she got her life together. And on the next edition of Title Bout Wrestling... Ed & Whippy vs. Youth Energy vs. Soldiers of Fortune vs. The Gilbert Brothers A fatal fourway tag team match to determine the number one contenders for the CGC tag titles. Will Eddie Chandler seek vindication? What will be the nature of the "message" delievered by the DeColt's attacker? And who deserves a World title shot on the upcoming Elimination card?
The attacker is none other than ..............................................George DeColt, he is tired of his children acting like spoilrd little brats, they are DeColts not Eisens.
Not saying if you are right or wrong, but that motivation would be hilarious! :) Okay, on to the show... 04-February-2007 CGC Title Bout Wrestling Dark Match: John Maverick defeated Shooter Sean Deeley Entertainment Guaranteed Before the credits roll for the show we start off with a shot backstage of Ed Monton lying on a couch in the locker room catching a short nap before he steps into the ring tonight. From off-camera comes Whippy the Clown. He tip-toes up to Monton and makes a “shushing” gesture to the camera. He produces a makeup kit and deftly applies some to Monton. He paints up the sleeping Monton exactly like his own mask. As he finishes and snaps the makeup kit shut Monton wakes up, startled to see the grinning clown hovering over him. Monton tells Whippy to wipe that grin off his face, they have business to take care of tonight, and a chance to earn a shot at the CGC tag team titles. Whippy tries his best to look serious as he says tonight he’s all business. Monton says that’s good and walks off camera, still oblivious to the fact that he is done up like a clown. Whippy chuckles and winks at the camera as the starting credits to Title Bout Wrestling roll. Ed & Whippy vs. Soldiers of Fortune vs. Youth Energy vs. The Gilbert Bros. – Winner faces The Specialists for the CGC Tag Titles at Elimination The crowd went nuts for the newly dubbed “Ed & Whippy” team. The match was set for one fall and a quick pace was set right off the bat by Whippy and Shane Nelson. Nelson got the upperhand and tagged in Chance to do a number on the clown. Monton broke up a near fall and the crowd went wild as all 8 men piled into the ring and brawled. Bodies were tossed and clotheslined over the top rope and soon all that remained in the ring were the unlikely pair of Ed and Whippy. Whippy went for a high-five but Monton would have none of it. The match continued with all four teams putting on a good show and hitting their signature moves and spots. Somehow SOF and Youth Energy got paired off on the outside and while Whippy took care of Joe Gilbert, Monton hit Jesse with the Canadian Backbreaker to pick up the win and the right to face the tag champs at Elimination! Even Monton couldn’t help but smile as Whippy came in to celebrate the win with him. That all changed when he went to wipe the sweat from his brow and it came away multi-colored from the face paint. Realizing he had been made to look a fool, Monton chased Whippy back to the locker room. Twice the risk, twice the glory… To much fanfare the reigning CGC World Champion Alex DeColt came out to the ring. He got on the mic and said that in the last three weeks all three of his brothers had been attacked and he couldn’t help feeling like he was next on the list. And tonight supposedly the person behind the attacks was supposedly going to have a little message to deliver to the DeColt family. Well Alex said bring it on because he wasn’t afraid of some low life who relied on sneak attacks to get the job done. He challenged whoever it was to come on out right now and face him like a man. As he finished that sentence Ryan Powell’s music played and he and A.K. Garcia made their way out to the ring. Garcia said that he and Powell could care less about who was beating up the DeColts, they were more interested in money and fame. And what better way to accomplish that then becoming the CGC World Champion! Powell said since Alex was so big on making challenges, why not take on a new challenge and give The Shooting Star a shot at the CGC World Title! DeColt said Garcia had his shot at getting the world title back when he ran with the Elite and he couldn’t get the job done then, he wouldn’t get it done now. Speaking of the Elite…Eddie Chandler’s music hit and he made his way out to the ring looking none too pleased. Chandler said last week he was unjustly accused and robbed of his chance to become CGC World champ by the interference of Alex’s brother Steve. He said the only just thing to do would be to give him a rematch right here tonight! Alex was fed up with the two of them taking up the time when he wanted to be confronting his brothers’ attacker. He said it would take a lot more than the two of them had to offer to get the World title from him and he would prove it. To make the “Elimination” event worthy of its name he said he would take them both on February 9 in a triple threat elimination style match for the CGC World Title. He said for him it would mean twice the risk, but also twice the glory when he took them both out! The two challengers seemed to accept this, then, hoping to soften the champ up, they attacked him. The crowd exploded as Steve DeColt sprinted to the ring and we had ourselves an impromptu tag team match. Steve & Alex DeColt vs. Eddie Chandler & Ryan Powell (w/A.K. Garcia) Powell and Chandler were no match against the brothers who had been working together for years. As a result Powell and Chandler soon resorted to underhanded tactics, choking and double teaming the DeColts behind the ref’s back. The DeColts fought back through it, but in the end Chandler got some measure of retribution when he laid Steve out with a chair. Then Alex quickly snatched the chair and smacked both of his opponents with it, leaving himself as the only man left standing. The referee called for the bell and the match ended in a double DQ. The message arrives… When the show came back from commercial break the ring crew was just finishing cleaning out the ring from the mayhem after the last match. All of a sudden the lights went out and some unfamiliar music played. Jerome Turner and Roger Rogers talked about how they had seen this before. When the lights came back up a man stood in the centre of the ring, dressed all in black with a briefcase in his hand. Although the announcers acted like they didn’t know who it was, a lot of diehard Canadian wrestling fans recognized him right away as Thomas Morgan! Morgan introduced himself to the crowd and CGC. He said he wanted to make one thing perfectly clear from the outset, he was not the man responsible for the attacks on the DeColts these past few weeks. But he had met that man. And he did share his vision for the future of CGC. That man, who Morgan would only refer to as “The Threat”, had entrusted Morgan to come to CGC tonight and act as his voice to deliver a message to the DeColts. And that message was this: “Don’t get comfortable…things are only going to get worse.” Morgan said The Threat was good for his word and as a gesture of just how serious he was he had given Morgan a trophy to present to the DeColts and the CGC fans. Morgan opened up the briefcase and pulled out the CGC Canadian Title not seen since Ricky DeColt had been attacked weeks ago! Morgan said now everyone knew where the title was and Ricky was welcome to come and try and claim it anytime he wanted to if he dared. Sticking up for his brother… Before Morgan could go any further Jack DeColt’s music hit and he came out onto the platform. He was ready to take a run at Morgan, but his fiancé Marie restrained him, not knowing what surprises the newcomer had in store. Jack said the guy who attacked the DeColts was scum and anyone who hangs around him is scum, therefore simple math would dictate Thomas Morgan was scum. DeColt said that Ricky was not cleared to wrestle and Morgan knew that as well as he did. Morgan calmly made Jack an offer: at Elimination if Jack DeColt would face him on his brother Ricky’s behalf, he could gain possession of the Canadian title. The impulsive Jack told Morgan he was on as the show went off the air with Morgan smiling as if things were going exactly according to plan. Other CGC News and Notes: - On Feb. 3 TCW announced that they had signed Dan DaLay to a contract. Details were undisclosed. It will be interesting to see how the former CGC champ fairs south of the border. So next up CGC presents “Elimination” So far the card is shaping up like so: Ed & Whippy vs. The Specialists© - CGC World Tag Team Title Match Jack DeColt vs. Thomas Morgan – For Possession of the CGC Canadian Title Ryan Powell vs. Eddie Chandler vs. Alex DeColt© - CGC World Title/Elimination Match Glad to see people have been reading and enjoying this so far. Both Powell and Chandler were called to get a title shot which is ironic because I had the triple threat match in mind before I even asked the question. Great minds think alike, I guess! Anyway keep the feedback coming as well as thoughts on potential angles, signings, etc.
