Carter
Good luck and all with FiSpi. Should be an okay game which will appeal to some die hard TEW gamers. I'm still looking forward to TEW 2005 tho!!!
Adam Ryland
Wow, the first few posters have really been a cynical bunch  I hope when you get to see and play the game you'll think it's a little better than "okay", and i'm hoping it will appeal to a little more than just diehard TEW fans! Carter
Yer Im sure it will. I'm personally haveing trouble imagining what the game will be like only having played you're other games. Ive nevereven touched things like TNM7. Expanding you're coding and game library with this kind of thing can only be good in the long run for you'self in the business and the games you make. But one thing, if it is going to be in the TEW world...shouldn't it be launched under the TEW name and create a Franchise of games under one banner??? Adam Ryland
Hmm, well i don't really think of it as the "TEW game world", i think of it as the "Cornellverse, a fantasy game world created by Adam Ryland". It's something i can use in all my games. The reason TEW and FiSpi are not using the same name is that i think it would be misleading. They are in different genres, and i wouldn't want people thinking that there is any compatibility between the two. Think of it more as two entirely separate games that happen to be set in the same universe. Kinda like the Super Mario games and Mario Kart - same characters, same world, totally different games. MakaveliX
idk if it sounds all that good seeing as its text based.
Adam Ryland
Well, i'd wait for the trial \ screen shots, they should change your mind. IMO this is the best game i've ever created.
Carter
Okay I get you. So you kind of just use that Cornellverse as a template roster for all you're games. meh, makes sense i suppose. One other question. Will we be able to see the rest of the results from the show that our player takes part in? For example, if my player is signed to NOTBPW and takes part in the opening match, will we be able to see what else went on in that card afterwards? I think it would help in the whole career aspect of the game.

During the loading process between days, you can choose to view the results from other promotions as they happen (or skip them if you're not interested). Not only that, but every single match ever wrestled is stored, so at the click of a button you can get a full career history of every single character in the game. The game has a similar depth as TEW, this isn't a game where the rest of the game world freezes if you're not directly involved - people will move promotions, win titles, form teams, etc, etc. If you wanted to, you could just sit back and watch the game world evolve! Carter
Ok yer thats good. It'll be interesting to see and play the trial game, and with you saying ''features wont be available'' am i expecting that they'll be a few more intereting features to play around with in this game? also, Any news on possible Beta Testers and such? Monkboon
What's up Adam. Slow down dude. I just DL'ed the trial for TEW last night and look forward to the full version and I find this game this morning. As you know, or may not, I'm finally attending ITT-Tech here in San Diego for Game Art and Design and hopefully, one day will be in a position such as yours and M****ie's. I look forward to this game as well as I know it will be great, Monk....
Adam Ryland
I don't know what features will be turned off in the trial yet - probably the Exhibition Match feature, as that on it's own is actually worthy of being a proper game. Obviously in a trial the point is for people to make a decision on whether to purchase the game or not, not to get a game out of it! Testers are being personally selected by me. So far there's 8 alpha testers who have had the game since July, and they'll be the main team. The other 5 or 6 people will be hand picked off the board out of the people who i think are mature enough to be relied upon to take the testing seriously, and aren't just going to want to try and get a free copy of the game. To make things easy, my primary rule is that if someone actually asks me, then there automatically not getting picked, as that means i won't get flooded with e-mails :)
Carter
Hah makes sense. Actually, from my first thoughts on the game being possibly weak, I'm sure it'll probably be a strong game and I look forward to checking it out. Im sure any negative feedback on first looking at the game will be replaced with much exitment when people actually start discovering what might be possible with a game like this. I look forward to more news.
Adam Ryland
Thanks. To be honest, i expected some cynicism, as there always is with a new game until there's something that people can see or play. When everyone sees how good the game looks (and it does look great!), how much depth there is, and plain how much fun it is to work your way to a world title shot only to have an arch rival cost you the match, i'm sure this game will be very popular. Jay-D
The game stores all the information about each wrestlers, how big would the file size be of a save game? I'm thinking with all the info, it might be quite big.
Adam Ryland
Not especially, although obviously if you play for ages it does get bigger and bigger. The data files take up just over 1 meg at the moment, to take the same amount of info that TEW uses 2.2 meg for.
slayer0601
I think this game has amazing potential, and should turn out to be extremely interesting. I was a little cynical when I first saw the post about the new game on TEW forums, but now I realise that their is a lot of depth and basis to the game and should be extremely intriguing to play. Its sound like a lot of fun in the game and a hell of a lot of work has gone into the game. Should be good to play.
Monkboon
testers reply.... Just as I was reading the post about not asking, I went to edit my post and not ask, is when you closed the post. Sorry....No harm done, Monk....

Heh It's a good game, give it a chance before having doubts about it. Adam knows what he's doing :)

Anyways, I am glad to see you here Torri! :) (Just incase your wondering, I just happen to remember talking to you in the days before TEW came out in the AIM chat that you and I think Sintoxic came up with)
Torri
I wouldn't call myself a staff for the time being, as after tonight i'll be pretty much inactive for a couple of months. And yeah, I haven't the slightest idea on who you are LOL. Telling me we chatted before TEW came out is sort of like lining Jose Maximo, Joel Maximo, and The Amazing Red.. and saying "I like the one who is a spot monkey" - it just doesn't narrow it down :P Torri
Andrew J
This is surely one of the most original wrestling games I've heard of... You have a reputation to live up to, what with so many great games you've made. But, looking at your track record.... you'll do fine :) And if not, there's always the dole... Heh.
