At least more people had turned up to watch the show tonight, seems like word is beginning to spread. [B][CENTER]Pre-show dark match [IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/MickTravers.jpg[/IMG] Mick Travers vs [IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/UeharaYasuhiko.jpg[/IMG] Uehara Yasuhiko[/B][/CENTER] A fairly awful match to start the night off with. As I watched the match backstage it was clear that these two obviously didn't click at all. [B]Winner = Uehara Yasuhiko Segment Rating = D[/B] [CENTER][B]*Show start*[/B][/CENTER] A graphic appears on the screen showing that Larry Morgan will be appearing on tonight's show, the crowd roars with excitement. [B]Segment Rating = A*[/B] Backstage: Senzo Tanaka and Tsunayoshi Katayama are seen arguing outside my office door, they eventually stop arguing and enter. "Mr Brewer, if anyone deserves to be the next in line for a title shot, it is I" said Tanaka. "No, no, no" interrupted Katayama, "You weren't even one of the final four in last week's battle royal! If anyone deserves the title shot it should be me". A figure appears behind the two of them and a loud [I]*ahem*[/I] is heard. The camera pans round and we see that it's Larry Morgan, in the distance you can hear the crowd cheering. "Guys, what are you two talking about? I was the last one to be eliminated in the battle royal so i'm obviously the number one contender isn't that right Terry?". They all turn and look at me as I start to sink down in my chair. "Look" I say, "All three of you can't be the number one contender for the title so what i'll do is make a triple threat match tonight, the winner will become the number one contender. That's fair right?". Tanaka and Katayama nod in agreement but Morgan looks less than pleased with my answer. [B]Segment Rating = C+[/B] [B][CENTER][IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/HayamiKunimatsu.jpg[/IMG] Hayami Kunimatsu vs [IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/SebJohnson.jpg[/IMG] Seb Johnson[/CENTER][/B] This was a great match for their first ever time together in a ring and their chemistry shone through. Had they met twenty years earlier this match could've been the stuff of legend. [B]Winner = Hayami Kunimatsu Segment Rating = C[/B] Backstage: We see Joshua Cooper walking down a corridor and about to go through a door when [B][I]*bang*[/I][/B], a door slams open into his face. George "The Blue Weenie" Barkley appears and says "That'll teach ya to beat me on my debut!". Leaving Johnson lying prone on the floor, he runs off down the corridor giggling like a schoolboy. The difference in styles seemed to compliment each other quite well with Katamari gaining the pinfall over Mencia. [B]Winners = Miyoshi Kamatari and Mark Sinclair Segment Rating = C-[/B] Yoshimatsu Juichi makes his way down to the ring with a microphone in hand. He says that he feels cheated because of the way Dangerous Dan Moon eliminated him in last week's battle royal so he wants a one on one match. Dan Moon appears from behind the curtains and accepts the challenge. [B]Segment Rating = C-[/B] [B][CENTER][IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/YoshimatsuJuichi.jpg[/IMG] Yoshimatsu Juichi vs [IMG]http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g115/TheUndertakersGraveyard/OAPW%20-%20Dynasty/DanMoon.jpg[/IMG] Dangerous Dan Moon[/CENTER][/B] These two have had great matches in Japan over the years so I expected great things from them. It was not to be though and they failed to click again for whatever reason. An average match at best with the pinfall going to Moon who illegally used the ropes for leverage. [B]Winner = Dangerous Dan Moon Segment Rating = C[/B] A video plays on the screen hyping up the triple threat main event between Morgan, Tanaka and Katayama. [B]Segment Rating = C[/B] Tanaka and Katayama in turn make their way to the ring, greeted by a mixed response from the audience. The crowd then falls silent and electricity fills the air in anticipation of the next competitor. Larry Morgan's music hits and he emerges from behind the curtain to a cheer so loud that it almost raised the roof. Armed with a handful of t-shirts he hands them out to his fans on his way to the ring. Sidney Moon asks what Anderson is doing at ringside to which Anderson just replies with a grunt, his eyes transfixed on the ring It was a great match that went back and forth between the three competitors. Near the end of the match Tanaka is thrown out to ringside by Katayama. As Katayama turns around, Morgan hits the Big Boot and goes for the pin. Seeing that Morgan is about to gain the victory, Greg Anderson jumps into the ring and drops an elbow to break up the pin and then starts to beat down Morgan. With that, the referee calls for the bell as Anderson stands with his arms raised over a motionless Larry Morgan. [B]Winner = N/A Segment Rating = B- Overall Show Rating = C+[/B] OAPW in association with Clarity Colours and O'Donnell's Bar. "Terry, i'm not happy with how things are going at the minute" he said with a rather stern tone in his voice. "What's the problem Mick?" I replied, a little puzzled. "What's the problem?!" he said in amazement. "Terry, I'm a former world tag-team champion, on the debut show you didn't even use me and then last week you used me in a pre-show match!" "That's true Mick, the reason behind that is because you're a former tag-team wrestler. You haven't been in the business for what, almost 30 years? It's unlikely that many people are going to remember someone who was part of a tag-team from 30 years ago, this way people can get to see you and you can build yourself up a following again". "That's all very well and good Terry but i'm not getting any younger. I think I deserve a better push". "I'm sorry Mick but I have to disagree. There are other people on the roster i've got to consider too ya know, and they've been wrestling more recently and therefore are fresher in people's memories than you are at the moment". I could see him becoming agitated by my reply. I stood up and looked him in the eye, "So if that's all you've got a problem with at the moment Mick then i'm sorry but I can't help you". We stood there looking at each other, seeing who would be the first to back down. As far as I was concerned, i'm the boss so my my decision goes, he could stand there all day long and it wouldn't sway my decision. After what seemed like hours, but was in fact only a few seconds, he grunted "Fine" and left my office looking less than amused.

I couldn't help but feel that Travers wasn't putting his heart into the match though. As a result, Sinclair got the win by making Travers tap out. [B]Winner = Mark Sinclair Segment Rating = C- [CENTER]*Show start*[/B][/CENTER] The shows theme music started and the pyro (a few fire crackers) went off to alert the crowd that the show was about to get underway. I came out from behind the curtain and announced, "Ladies and Gentlemen, we welcome you to OAPW WrestleFest! Due to the interference by Greg Anderson in the main event at last week's show i've decided that the number one contendership for the US Title will be decided by a series of matches between the three contestants. Whoever wins the most matches will have earned the right to a match against Greg Anderson at January Jamboree. Tonight we have the first of those matches, Larry Morgan will face off against Tsunayoshi Katayama and to avoid a repeat of last week, Greg Anderson will be banned from ringside. Now, will you all please put your hands together for the one, the only, LARRY MORGAN!". The crowd went nuts and out came Larry with a microphone in hand. He proceeded to hype up his match tonight against Tsunayoshi Katayama and promised all his fans that he'd accept nothing less than a win. The camera follows him down as he picks it up and pans back up as he starts to unwrap it. We now see an angry Joshua Cooper standing behind Barkley. It would appear that Cooper didn't take too kindly to Barkley bashing him with a door last week as he started to beat down Barkley with animalistic ferocity. After leaving an unconcious Barkley lay on the floor, Cooper picks up the Hershey bar, smirks and walks away. Anderson scrambles out of the ring as fast as he can and makes his way backstage looking irate. I don't think my style of writing is particularly better than anyone elses so if I did a real world or another C-Verse dynasty I think it would've just got lost in the mix. :rolleyes: Using my own characters could've backfired on me however. Some people don't read C-Verse dynasties because they can't associate with the characters so those people were already off the readership. Not even C-Verse players would know this bunch of oldies so it could've either turned them away or drew them in, I just hoped the new characters would make it interesting. An example would be Clarity's dynasty, people are getting on Jamie Anderson's back because they hate him. With my people no-one can do that really because they're all unknowns at the minute. OAPW is actually part of the Forumverse so when that's released maybe some other OAPW diaries will turn up? Plus people could give more feedback when/if they've used the characters themselves. Who knows eh.
