Silver Spur
I am trying to edit the pstats.dat file as advised in #11 of the 1.47 beta patch instructions so that I can use the bowl/conference tie ins. Excuse me if this sounds dumb but when I try to open that file using Wordpad to change the bowlgame value to "0", I get the computer gobbledy gook that looks like hyrogliphics (sp?). I need some advice on how to get this done. I'm not much of a "computer" guy. BTW, Great, Great, Great game!!

tc66tc
Mircosoft Access 2003 OpenOffice this is a databse program that is apart of Mircosoft Office Suite. I am unsure if Open Access works with this (Open office is a free program what is susposed to be able to do everything Mircosoft Office Suite does.) Mircosoft Access will cost you, but open Access is free. I am just not sure if it works on editing these file. Hopefuly someone else can chime in, if not you can all ways try to download it and see for yourself.

heywood63
I have used open office to edit pstats.dat file....did it awhile back so I probably couldn't remember how to do it. Spur you might also be interested to know that I used it to edit Carolina. Made two different edits and accidently picked the one that turned us into a powerhouse.:D

Silver Spur
Interesting. Perhaps Coach Spurrier should try editing his current team before the Clemson game. That works for me;) .
