Tc's Dynasty

Recommended Posts

Ok guys with the release of 1.50 i have decided to post a dynasty up here for all to see. I have decided to take on the challange coaching Miami. No not the Hurricanes but the Redhawks of Ohio. I have walked into a subpar team without much star power. Hopefully after a couple years I will be able to contend for a conference championship. I am unsure of where I want to go with this dynasty, I might try to take Miami to a major program with conference movement or I might just use them as a stepping stone. Only time will tell.

We did have one incredible player on the team this year. Senior DT Jonathan Ralph (68/68) won the Outland Trophy and was named First Team All-MAC, MAC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-American. 2007 Season 2: Miami OH Redhawks 9-4 (6-2) Expectations: We look to be the big fish in a small pond this year. Winning the MAC and a nice game against Cincinnati is expected, but we have our fingers crossed for a decent bowl as well. Preview: We brought in two QB's in recruiting. Freshman Johnny Villanueva (51/63) will be starting this year. With Johnny winning the starting job I moved his backup, Freshman Major Brown, to HB. Brown (57/67) is cut from the same mold as New York Giants runningback Brandon Jacobs. Brown (6'4, 219 lbs) will be splitting time with Senior Jermey Barnes who ran for 489 yards last season. Also this year we scheduled one good team, Syracuse, and one bottom feeder, Florida International. We are expected to win the MAC this year; i'm not sure if that will happen, but we will give it our best shot. I believe our offense will be ok this year, but the defense will be suspect at best. Prediction: 8-3 Outcome: Week 3: We pulled off a huge upset by beating Syracuse on the road. We went in as 18 point underdogs and won 27-23. With four minutres left in the game we trailed 23-13. HB Jeremy Barnes caught a 2 YD Pass from Johnny Villanueva with 4:27 left to bring the score to 23-20. On the ensuing kickoff Syracuse fumbled the return and Miami WR Lynn Griggs returned it 24 YD for the go ahead score. We finished up our season 9-4 winning the MAC this year. In the Motor City Bowl we faced off against Cal (68 prestige) and took them to overtime, but came away with a close loss 35-29. Even with a below average team we managed to play to major programs this year, beating one (#20 Syraucse 8-4) and taking the other into overtime (#35 Cal 8-5). Freshman QB Johnny Villanueva had a great freshman season passing for 2825 yards, 22 tds and 12 ints and was named MAC Freshman of the year. Hopefully he will continue to progress and can lead this program to a couple more conference championships. The season ended on a very weird note. Going into the conference championship week #1 LSU (11-0) lost to #3 Florida (10-1) 17-6. With the victory the Gators jumped to #1 and LSU fell to #2, bumping Texas (11-1) out of the National Championship game. In the rematch at the Orange Bowl Florida showed the first victory was not a fluke beating the Tigers 33-15. The only job offer that came in this offseason was for MAC doormat Kent State. So I will be around Miami OH for atleast one more year. As expected OC Ray Bennett decided to opt out of his contract after the season. This year we landed OC Thomas Hankins and DC Nathaniel Matthews each for $575k per year. Winning the MAC and a nice game against Cincinnati is expected, but we have our fingers crossed for a decent bowl as well. Preview: Once again we have been picked to win the MAC. Also this is the first year some of our tranfer players will be eligible. I have three sophomore running backs that could split time this year, but I will redshirt big man Major Brown to better manage the roster in the next couple seasons. We will be changing over to a more balanced attack this year since we do not have any star wideouts. We will also be traveling to Missouri this year to play the Tigers. Prediction: 7-5 Outcome: Statistical this was the best season yet with the nations 12th best offense and 10th best defense. We just could not seem to turn those great numbers into wins this year. We must learn how to win games or we will never get any better. After the season was over I recieved a feeler from Ohio, but I am not looking to take a step backwards in my coaching career. 2009 Season 4: Miami OH Redhawks 12-1 (7-1) Expectations: We look to be the big fish in a small pond this year. Winning the MAC and a nice game against Cincinnati is expected, but we have our fingers crossed for a decent bowl as well. Preview: This season I went soft on the nonconference schedule. We need some wins, since I came to Miami we have had atleast two losses in conference each year and a tough game to end the schedule against Big East rival Cincinnati. We have only seen our prestige increase one point in three seasons, hopefully a couple easy nonconference wins can bring that up a little bit. For the third straight year we have been picked to win the MAC, but I am unsure if we will pull it off. Our team is looking alot better, but I feel we are still a couple seasons away from being able to run the table in the MAC. Prediction: 8-3 Outcome: Well the I guess we were a little better than I thought this season. We had alot of injuries and alot of mistakes, but we just keep winning. Our defense really stepped up this year and our offense did there job by putting points on the board. I also picked up my first bowl victory by defeating UNLV (9-3) 34-17 in the Motor City bowl. I recieved four job offers at the end of the season with only one coming from a major conference, that being Baylor. Right now I feel this squad is on the rise so I will be staying away from Texas this year. I would like to get an oppertunity to coach in a mjor conference, but I am looking to coach a middle of the road squad, not a bottom feeder.
Looking good so far, Tc. I like the way your yearly reports are set up; having some personal webspace makes that a lot easier. I'm looking into doing that myself, so I don't have to spend quite as much time typing and formatting my reports.
Yeah at first I was going to be typing all the information out, but I decided since Arlie did such a great job of making the reports I mind as use them. Plus it saves time so instead of typing I can be playing.

2010 Season 5: Miami OH Redhawks 12-1 (8-0) Expectations: The MAC title is ours for the taking. Turning into a decent bowl game will be a challenge, but you should win the conference at minimum. Preview: This should be our year. We are loaded with seniors, 30 to be excat. Hopefully we can turn this into another big season because we will need it when it comes time to rebuild next year. Outcome: This was our breakout season. We finshed 4th in both the Media and Coaches polls. We went unbeaten through the regular season but lost in the MAC championship game to Western Michigan. Even with this loss we were invited to the Sugar Bowl to face Big East Champion Pitt. We were just happy to make a BCS bowl game and a little after half time we found ourselves down 24-9 midway through the thrid quater. Then the Seniors stepped up and decided it was time to play. With 00:27 seconds left in the game we were up 32-24. The game should have been over here but Pitt was able to score on a 65 yard pass with 00:07 left and converted the 2pt to tie the game up and send it to overtime. In overtime the defense stepped up and held, then we scored to win the Sugar Bowl. Senior HB George Ball was the star of the Sugar Bowl running for 223 yards on 23 carries for two tds. Including the bowl game Ball ran for 2070 yards and 20 touchdowns on the year while winning the Doak Walker Award. He had an amazing year with 3450 all purpose yards!!! Also Junior ILB William Johnson won the Dick Butkus Award. He finished the year with 92 total tackles (71 solo), 13 sacks and 10 stuffs. He managed 3 interceptions for 35 yards. Well I believe this chapter in my coaching career is coming to an end. The University of Washington (65 prestige) came calling after the end of the season and I have decided to accept there offer. I will miss the fertile recruiting grounds of Ohio; hopefully the west coast will be as easy to find talent. The Huskies have a record of 32-27 over the past five seasons, with a conference record of 14-26. So I have my work cut out for me to try and win the Pac-10. I had to clean house when I showed up hiring a new OC and DC. The prevoius coaches just did not have the ability to develop players like I wanted some some new blood was brought in with me. I am looking to carry out my five year plan and turn the Huskies into Pac-10 Champions. The Huskies have been a mid-to-bottom team in the conference so it will take atleast a couple years to get some good talent in. 2011 Season 6: Washington Huskies 8-4 (5-3) Expectations: We feel you have the talent to compete in the Pac-10. While many other teams are tough this season, a 6th place finish should be doable. Preview: This is going to be a pretty tough year. Seven of our eight conference opponents are ranked in the preseason top 25. We had a good first recruiting class come in a true freshman qb Jame Hunter (60/69) will be the starter. I used this same idea at Miami OH, get a young leader then build the program around him. All things center off of good QB play. Hopefully he will be able to bring the Huskie fans a conference championship before he leaves. Also we went out a sign a home and home series with my old team Miami OH. Prediction: 6-5 Outcome: Well any love that the fans from Miami OH might still have had for me is gone. When the Redhawks (10-3) traveled to Seattle we put a beatdown on them to the tune of 79-13!!! This year was a little bit better than most expected. We finshed #4 in the Pac-10 and beat BYU (9-3) in the Las Vegas bowl 24-17. Starting the offseason we picked new STC Allen Reddick for $250k per year. He has proven over the past four season as ST coach for Arizona that he has the ability to motivate and develop young players.
