Playing a close game against Frenso State will also help your cause. Conf Projection: 6th Preview: We are a horrible team. This is going to be a challange to catch up to Frenso State and Boise State in this conference. Hopefully I will be able to turn this program around in 3-4 years. I feel this program has the resources to become a winner. I am still split on if I want to try and go the Bobby Bowden/Joe Paterno route and stay at SJSU or I might just jump ship when a good offer comes my way. Only time will tell. Outcome: After a horrible 0-4 start we finally got our act togehter and finshed 6-1 over the last seven games. We also managed to beat rival Frenso State. We really need to have a productive offseason so hopefully we can get the ball rolling on a conference championship within the next three years. We also picked up OC Julio Kennedy and DC William Jones each for $575k per year. Hopefully these guys will be able to come in and help develop the talent we get. We also recieved a bowl invite to the Las Vegas Bowl against TCU who we lost to. I think this could be our breakout season that will reallyy help bring in some talent. We also had split National Champions whith the Coaches awarding tournment winner Oklahoma the National Championship while the media crowned Iowa. We had a decent offseason bringing in so top notch transfers and a decent recruiting class that filled alot of holes we had. We are expected to finish in the upper half of the conference which I think should be possible. Prediction: 7-4 Outcome: Again we had an incredible season. This was not a great team at all, but we just kept winning. We did not have more talent than our opponents but we played as a team just would not lose. We also won the WAC this year, which is a couple years ahead of schedule. The Texas Tech Red Raiders won the National Championship by making a susprise run through the playoffs. Thanks guys for the input. Right now I am taking a break from the game for a couple weeks. My school (Electrical Engineering) semester is almost over and we have a ton of work the teachers are trying to cram in. So dont worry this dynasty is not dead. Also I would love to get my prestige up some more. In five seasons weve gone from 35 to 42. If we can get into the playoffs a couple times, low 50's should be possible. Right now we have the talent to compete with the midlevel major conference teams. This is fine for winning bowl games against those teams, but we need to be able to compete with the upper level schools so we might just win a playoff game if we ever finish high enough to get in.

Great job so far, Tc. I usually enjoy taking "mid-major" college programs and trying to see how far I can help them progress. This time, I decided to see what it would be like to coach a big-time program (Penn State), and I'm trying to take them to the very top of the college football heap. Do you plan on taking a job with a more prestigious program if it's offered to you?

Im not sure after season three i had offers from Auburn, Cal and Nebraska. At the time i was really tempted to g, but I wanted to see if I could build SJSU into a top tier program and maybe move into the PAC-10. Now with conference movement fixed it might be possible. Only down side is I will not be able to play the game for a while. This is my last week of school, then I have two weeks of finals before xmas. Then I have two more weeks traveling and family stuff. So it looks like early januarary before ill be able to get back to this one and I have been itching to do so. I look at this page every couple days and it just makes me want to play even more. The funny part is I have a nice Intel Core 2 Dou 6400, SLI Nvida 7900gs, 2 gig of ram for gaming and media center and id rather be playing a text based college football game than playing battlefield 2. LOL
