1999 Scenario In Production

Recommended Posts

There has been a lack of a good scenario that was set in the time of the Monday Night Wars, so I've taken it upon myself to start one. The scenario starts in January of 1999, which is a time of when WWF had just returned to it's thrown as the leader of the ratings. The mod will feature all promotions that made any significant impact on wrestling at that time. If anyone wants to help me with it, I'd be glad to give you a position to work on.
I would love to be the picture man for this.
I'd be honored to have you as the picture man, but the pictures aren't going to be on Kyky backgrounds. If you want to help me create a template for the pics then you can.
Just to clarify, WCW wasn't incontrol of the ratings in 99, infact if memory serves me correctly, WCW last beat the WWF in the ratings in July of 98, which was Hogan v. Goldberg. Other than that good luck on the mod!
You are kind of right, but the last time they did beat RAW in the ratings was some time in October of 1999. Given that was because RAW never aired, but hey. So yes, WWF was in control of the ratings.

You need ECWA in there. The ones who do the Super 8. 1999 their workers were hot. Billy Kidman had been signed to WCW. Devon Storm/Crowbar was also signed. Steve Corino was rising thru ECW. Simon Diamond was rising thru the ranks there as well. Julio Dinero was toiling on the lowercard. Give credit. They spawned alot of important people in that time frame.

From looking at their roster at the time, they were pretty strong for a promotion of their size.

Hey, we can book the Mankind/Rock feud - sweet! And since I always rescue WCW in historical scenarios, I'll be going for a big Chris Jericho push. Plus with Raven, the Filthy Animals, Mikey Whipreck and the other Cruisers still around... *Drool* How did WCW go under again? * The one thing I'd request is that you create as many workers as possible. Your long fed list is encouraging, but a lot of scenarios seem to have a small number of unsigned talent. Of course, it takes time to do these things, as I've found myself recently

I was just fed up with not having a mod from one of the biggest time periods in wrestling history. Also, I think it is important to have as many promotions as possible, because that leaves more variety for the user. I was looking at some other data people released for the mid to upper 90s time and they only had like 4 promotions.

what about UPW (Ultimate Pro Wrestling) they have been around since 1998 and produced 20 WWE wrestlers. Could also use Women Of Wrestling they started in 2000 but could help the lack of womens feds.

I'll add them to the promotions list, too.
Get Tommy Tomlin to make one.
Hehe, nice to be remembered. I'll be re-making my 98 mod for TEW07, if that counts for anything. Good luck with the mod Nimo, but I don't know about including Japan straight away. Start on the American side of things, release it, and then if there's demand, chuck in the Japanese feds and workers. Otherwise you're looking at another 500 or so workers, and that's going to burn you out.
