Mad World - The Story Of Four Unlucky Promoters

Recommended Posts

[CENTER] One financial backer. Four million dollars. A neverending pool of talent. A wealth of knowledge. Four different men. Four different outlooks. Today marks the start of a new era in professional wrestling. Four diverse promotions, four different styles, but only one could, and would emerge as the greatest. Which promoters style would succeed, and which would fail miserably? [QUOTE] Posted By: thedouchebagisme [I]'I really don't see how a WOMANS federation could get over here in North America. This isn't Japan, people don't want to see women compete, its not a stereotype, or me being sexist, its just the truth.'[/I] Posted By:tHeGaMeRuLeS [I]Another hardcore promotion? Thats all we need is another garbage fed, to dumb down the wrestling population into thinking its another mindless way to entertain, and unlegitimize the athletes. At least the womens promotion will be focusing on in ring entertainment![/I] Posted By:CornellsMother [I]'It's really a good thing for the business. Broaden the horizons, and heighten the competition and you will get better shows overall. Guaranteed. I think that the divided talent will only better the product.'[/I] Posted By:SWF_Mark [I]Nevada Nuclear? Come on, really now. You could have drafted, Skull Debones... or Kid Toma, or even Panda Mask, and you chose NEVADA NUCLEAR?[/I] Posted By: WTFOwner [I]'WRESTLING: The Federation definitely has the best chance to survive and make it big. Plain and simple. They have established stars, and they have young talent to keep them going throughout the years, as well as the most original booker I have ever seen. Sean McFly, Jeremy Stone, Christian Faith, Marc DuBois... the list goes on with not one bad pick.[/I] Posted By: CLUELESS [I]K SERIOUSLY, LIKE WHAT THE HECK IZ GOIN ON HERE?!?! [FONT="Century Gothic"][CENTER] Reports today show that WRESTLING: The Federation is the first of the four promotions to surface and reveal themselves. WRESTLING: The Federation, of WTF for short, is a wrestling based product, through and through. From the puro style of Japan, to the 'Canadian Dungeon' style of the north, to the 'All Action' style of CZCW, WTF looks to take over the scene. With a heavily loaded talent laden roster, with youth and experience, there is not much holding WTF back from breaking away from the pack. Sean McFly Jeremy Stone Marc DuBois Wolf Hawkins Jack Bruce Angry Gilmore Sensational Dragon Elemental II Human Arsenal Steve DeColt Christian Faith Peter Michaels (Announcer) Alex DeColt Joey Minnesota Chief Two Eagles (Road Agent) Black Eagle PRIDE Koiso (Now [B]WRESTLING Koiso[/B]) Runaway Train Phenomenal E. The Great Hisato Axxis Jr. Aaron Andrews Sam Sparrow (Referee) Adrian Garcia They have taken top stars from NOTBPW like Sean McFly, and Jeremy Stone, as well as CGC former-lifers Alex and Steve DeColt. From SWF they have really robbed them, taking Jack Bruce, Angry Gilmore, upstart Marc DuBois and legend Christian Faith. One pick really sticking out like a sore thumb... is Runaway Train? Owner Alexander Fayt, has stated there will be three Championship belts to start with. [B]WTF World Heavyweight Championship[/B] The best from all around the world will truly be battling for this, as stars like Axxis Jr. from Mexico, WRESTLING Koiso, Sensation Dragon, and The Great Hisato from Japan, J. Stone, and The DeColts from Canada, and the rest from the USA. [B]WTF No Limits Championship[/B] No limits. Nuff said. Anything can go, and anything will. [B]WTF Tag Team Championship[/B] Tag team championship of midcard level. Will be left vacant until enough tag teams are formed. Both the No Limits Championship, and the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided in 12 and 10 Man Tournaments. [B][U]World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Entries[/U][/B] Sean McFly Jeremy Stone Christian Faith Runaway Train Alex DeColt Steve Decolt Marc DuBois WRESTLING Koiso Wolf Hawkins Human Arsenal Angry Gilmore Jack Bruce [B][U]No Limits Championship Entries[/U][/B] Axxis Jr. The Great Hisato Black Eagle (Now known as [B]CARNAGE[/B]) Phenomenal E. (Going by his real name [B]Ed Larkins[/B]) Wolf Hawkins Marc DuBois Sensational Dragon Joey Minnesota Elemental II Angry Gilmore [B]More to be announced later, stay tuned as word has it, the 'tightly kept lid' on the scoop of the three other promotions is about to be unscrewed... All we know at this point, is there is 'apparently' a womans promotion, a hardcore promotion, and, another wrestling oriented promotion. Stayed tuned, updates when we receive them. [FONT="Century Gothic"][CENTER] After the emergence of WRESTLING: The Fed yesterday night, reports on the internet are that another promotion is set to arise from the ashes, from the same financial backer. A man by the name of 'JL Gonzalez has been reporting on his blog alot as of late, and has made an inkling of some participation in the wrestling world. Not is not about Mr. Gonzalez, but he has talked about a secret 'financial backer' and with the rumours around the internet, one had to speculate what they could. Just early this morning a post was made on a very reputable message board that Mr. Gonzalez indeed would have a huge role in the wrestling world, and it would be that of an owner of a new promotion. The promotion has been rumoured to be a hardcore promotion, and is stacked with entertaining talent, and we have the 'rumoured roster'. [B][U]Roster[/U][/B] Tommy Cornell Eddie Peak Bryan Holmes Champagne Lover Randy Bumfhole Zimmy Bumfhole Burning EXILE Remo Richardson Troy Tornado Acid Johnny Bloodstone Guide Scout Liberty BLZ Bubb Texas Pete Sam Strong Ultimate Phoenix Akima Brave Jacob Jett Nevada Nuclear Chris Caufield Big Cat Brandon Shane Sneer There are several hardcore icons on this roster, as well as some high flyers and technicians. With such a diverse roster one has to think that they would be appealing to a very wide audience within the wrestling community. With tag team names being rumoured, such as The Amazing Bumfoles and The New Wave, and several former World Champions of huge promotions within the Cornellverse. Not much is known about what the plans are within the company, but they are going to be big. With so many big names, who will be pushed and in what ways? Only time will tell. [/CENTER][/FONT]

Damn, I've been wanting to do a multiplayer Cverse diary which a) involved a draft or some big shake ups for the rosters and b) involved reliable people that wouldn't bail after 2 days or so. Looks like I missed the boat. Anyway, interesting concept, I'll be reading.

[FONT="Century Gothic"][CENTER] [B][I][U][SIZE="5"]UPDATE[/SIZE][/U][/I][/B] Word through the grapevine is, the next promotion to surface is somewhat of an unorthodox one, in that of a womens promotion. No official word has yet been made, but we have been told information will be slipped under our door later tonight! [/CENTER][/FONT]

[FONT="Century Gothic"][CENTER] It has been finalized. WCW has entered the wrestling world, and, as we reported earlier in a shocking turn of events, will be a 'womens wrestling' promotion, and NOT based around TnA. There are many skeptics out there, but reports have also confirmed that this is the first promotion to secure a television deal. WCW Livewire at 10pm every Wednesday for 2 hours on GNN Total Sports! This is huge news, as Remianen Valorian, the front man of the operation was quoted as saying 'It is a huge shame that womens wrestling is not on par with their male counterparts here in America. These women have something to prove, and they are very determined to do it. They have nothing to lose, where as all these other promotions, will soon find out [I]they do[/I].' The tentative roster for WCW (Womens Championship Wrestling) is as so... Sensational Ogiwara Wanda Fish Joanne Rodriguez Megumi Nakajima Thunder Hike Kit Hayamoto Kiko Sakakibara Huntress Makiko Devils Daughter Victoria Stone Saori Nakadan Crusher Ichihara Jason Azaria Emma Chase Tsugiharu Odaka Rip Chord Cherry Bomb Tamara McFly Saeko Hiroyuki Ikuko Temko Yuma Maruya Melody Cuthill Raven Nightfall Ginko Kuroda Their first television event, WCW Livewire already has had some major match announcements made for it. [B][I][U]WCW World Championship Main Event[/U][/I][/B] Sensational Ogiwara vs. Wanda Fish vs. Thunder Hike vs. Victoria Stone vs. Crusher Ichihara vs. Kit Hatoyama With some very established females within this Main Event, this should be some great action! ALSO SIGNED! [B][I][U]WCW World Tag Team Championship Match[/U][/I][/B] Core Duo (Megumi Nakajima & Joanne Rodriguez) The Bomb Squad (Saori Nakadan & Saeko Hiroyuki) The Rainbow Girls (Kiko Sakakibara & Otsune Tsumura) Border Patrol (Melody Cuthill & Tamara McFly) These four teams will be in an intense battle to prove who is the top team out there! Finally... [B][I][U]WCW Television Championship[/U][/I][/B] Cherry Bomb vs. Yuma Maruya This has been promised by the critics to be an awesome card, and predicted to fail by many skeptics within the first few months. Can the women prove to every sexist pig that they are on par - if not better than the men they so idolize? [/font][/center]

[FONT="Century Gothic"][CENTER] The latest and possibly final tibit of news, confirming our suspicions before, is another promotion based upon wrestling, and somewhat of a puroresu style based on the roster we have seen. The roster has not technically been confirmed, but what has been confirmed, is the name. Real Quality Wrestling. Nuff said. [/CENTER][/FONT]

[CENTER][FONT="Century Gothic"] After somewhat of a lengthy wait, roster has been confirmed for Real Quality Wrestling, and our jaws have just dropped. With only one promotion booking a card right out of the gate, [B]Womens Championship Wrestling[/B], one has to wonder how confident these male oriented federations really are... [/FONT][/CENTER]

[CENTER][FONT="Century Gothic"] With all the hype surrounding the shake-up within the wrestling community, many predictions have been thrown about as to who would rise to the top, and who would utterly fail. Surprisingly, upon looking at the roster, and the state of the business, despite initial responses, the top contender to succeed has been Womens Championship Wrestling. Upon looking into the subject further, wrestling experts say a 'drastic change, and some old school wrestling' are what the industry needs, and with three male promotions, with somewhat varying yet similar styles, with rosters that stack up blandly against one another, Womens Championship Wrestling is being called that 'breath of fresh air'. With the other three promotions having almost identical rosters, WCW has something they don't. Fresh, competitive (and some attractive) female competitors who can put on an impressive story in the ring, as well as about themselves. Almost completely unknown in North America bar a few women, WCW will have the hardest struggle. But will they have the most success? This internet reporter is making a prediction here and now. Wrestler of the year, carrying WCW to the top on her shoulders... Sensational Ogiwara. [/FONT][/CENTER]

Thanks man, I'm having a great time doing this. Hopefully the format we have set up works, and when things get up and going things will run more smoothly. Glad we got a reader! And actually, me and a buddy were going to start an e-fed with that name. It just stuck with my right away. I said 'Hey, wanna create an e-fed?' He said 'WTF?' I said 'Thats it!' And the rest is history.

(OOC notes here) Ran a test through the game, and nothing major was noted that shook the game up too bad, despite all the major talent being redistributed. Throughout the test, WCW got two C- shows, WTF got a C, and a B-, EWA gained two solid C+ shows, while RQW was seemingly miles ahead with a B-, following that up with a B. This should be great! Only problems to note, were four of MY OWN workers were signed only to PPA to get snatched by SWF, but that was fixed. Figured I would have ensured my own roster first.

EWA Hard Knocks Championship Acid vs. [B]Burning EXILE:[/B] Eh, I hate Cruisers. I hate Acid even worse! [B]Johnny Bloodstone[/B] vs. Bryan Holmes: Marking for this I love'em both. I could see Bloodstone getting the nod here. [B]The Fabulous Bumfholes[/B] vs. The Hardcore Kings (Chris Caufield/Big Cat Brandon): I just don't like the Bumfholes. If weren't for Caullfield, I'd go with Big Cat's team.
