Recruiting question

Recommended Posts

There are many factors that go into evaluating/scouting a player, not just one. The #1100 ranked player may be more proficeint in other skills and/or physical attributes vs. the #1200 guy...resulting in a better overall ranking. Scouting in the game has varying amount of degrees of error...scouting services are not perfect and even your own scouts won't be 100% accurate either.

Like Dave said, there are many things that go into a player's rating and rank including speed, strength, intelligence, instinct, etc. Some players may fit your system, but be ranked low. You need to make sure players fit with your system (don't get a RB who can't catch for the west coast, or a QB with weak arm strength for vertical passing) and not always go after the highest ranked player; your scouts may be wrong anyway. Here is a good place to go for reference on what is important to each position. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13190
