Since hiring Kate Lilly back in January, she has impressed me more and more each time she has a match. This match was certainly no exception. Kate Lilly and Catherine Quine seem to have some good chemistry which resulted in an above-average match-up. The upside to Kate Lilly is HUGE. Being only 18 years old can only mean good things. The match started off with a series of deep armdrags followed up by a standoff between the two. From there on, the two went on to counter each other's moves. It was clear that each woman studied each others matches which resulted in a decent showing. Kristabel Plum picked up the win in 10:52 by pinfall with a Plum Tucker. [COLOR=Magenta][B]Rating[/B][/COLOR]: C- [CENTER]---------------[/CENTER] Cherry Bomb, Nene Ebina, and Dharma Gregg walk down to the ring together. All with very smug looks on their faces. Cherry Bomb grabs a microphone. [COLOR=Red][B]Cherry Bomb[/B][/COLOR]: 2007 has been one hell of a year for me. In singles competition i've been undefeated. I decimated Raven Nightfall. I completely demolished a certain wrestler who people claim is a future legend in Joanne Rodriguez. I've even got the Femme Fetale champion, Wanda Fish hiring big, useless lugs like Seiko Nanami in fear that i'll decimate her too. Cherry Bomb smiles slyly. [COLOR=Red][B]Cherry Bomb[/B][/COLOR]: Basically, i'm out here to tell you.. along with Dharma Gregg and the dominating Nene Ebina, we plan on taking over this promotion. We're putting everybody here on notice.. and tonight, i'm starting with Suzanne Brazzle! Better yet, i'll name this a match of the year candidate so far. Cherry Bomb and Suzanne Brazzle tore the house down! They started the match off with a nice chain wrestling sequence. Both Suzanne and Cherry put on a technical clinic for the most part of the match.. that is until Cherry Bomb grew frustrated with Suzanne and took several shortcuts including faking an injury and stopping the match several times claiming Suzanne groped her. Cherry totally heeled it up. The end of the match came when Dharma Gregg attempted to distract Suzanne causing Wanda Fish to come out and dispose of Dharma and Nene. Distracted by what was going on, Cherry focused her attention to Wanda.. which left just enough time for Suzanne to come from behind, and roll up Cherry Bomb for the upset victory at 11:06. Literally, this match was so boring, my foot fell asleep. Nene Ebina worked the arm for the majority of the match possibly setting up for the fujiwara armbar. Seiko made a short lived comeback until the fight broke out to the outside. They fought on the outside, going through the crowd and ended up getting counted out in the process in 12:22. This match was a classic throwback to an old-school wrestling match. Suzue Katayama used her strength to her advantage, often slowing down the faster, more agile Wanda Fish. Another good lineup! Another thing I noticed is that, Kate seems to have a 'thing' for workers with good to great Performance skills (which I totally understand). Given the folks who didn't measure up, that's one thing they all have in common (pretty bad in the Performance area). The roster seems pretty stacked in that respect so it'll be interesting to see the results you get, though I think Kate'll be pleased. :)

This was actually their best match to date respectively. They both complimented each other very well and that resulted in a very passable and average match. Emma handed Black Widow her first singles loss in 8:23 after the Payback. Kate Lilly used her aerial attacks one too many times when she went for a high cross body on the top rope.. however Catherine shook the ropes, crotching Kate in the process. Catherine then took advantage of the the situation and Spike DDT'd Kate Lilly while she was crotched on the top rope at the 11:33 mark. [COLOR=Red][B]Cherry Bomb[/B][/COLOR]: Tonight, is the beginning of the end for the AAA roster. Last week, Suzanne Brazzle CHEATED to win. She cheated, because that's the only way she could've beat me and she knows it. So she convinced Wanda Fish, who i'm sure didn't need much convincing since she's jealous of me, to interfere and cost me my match. Cherry Bomb looks down at her newly won AAA Top Contenders Title. [COLOR=Red][B]Cherry Bomb[/B][/COLOR]: But none of that matters. Wanda Fish, you'll get yours in due time. Don't think for a second that i'll forget what you've done to me. Right now, I intend on defending this title and becoming the GREATEST AAA Top Contenders champion in the HISTORY of AAA. And after i'm done retiring the title since NO ONE can beat me.. i'm coming after you Wanda. Until then, get ready and watch greatness. [CENTER][B][COLOR=Magenta][SIZE=3]Random Thoughts... Monday, Week 1, May 2007 [/SIZE][/COLOR][/B][/CENTER] [LIST] [*]As you may have noticed, I only ran two shows last month. My stubborness wasn't good enough for my accountant who talked me down to two shows rather than three. Still though, last month was a HUGE success! I took several risks including upping the amount of shows done in a month. I also moved to a bigger location which holds twice as many people as our former location, the Portland Center. The Washington State Gymnasium looks to be where we'll be holding our shows regularly. Despite my accountant thinking otherwise, we TRIPLED our profits from last month making an astonishing $11,000! So for that, I gave my accountant a big "Suck It!" You know.. that could be the next big wrestling slogan. I better trademark that before someone else uses it.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Both Michelle Brendon and Suzanne Brazzle have made it publically known that they plan on changing their styles of wrestling. Michelle Brendon wants to be more of a traditional "Regular Wrestler" while Suzanne Brazzle is going for the Super Junior style.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Speaking of which, Suzanne Brazzle, Kristabel Plum, and to a lesser extent, Kate Lilly have all really impressed me with their matches. Should they keep this up, I can definitely see big things happening for these three.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Cherry Bomb captured her first ever title reign by defeating Raven Nightfall in a very solid match. Though, not suprisingly, she issued an open challenge for ANYONE to challenge her for the title at our next show, Girls Aloud.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Wanda Fish once again showed us why she is the Femme Fetale champion by delivering two EXCELLENT matches last month. Wanda is definitely our MVP of the month of April. Although one has to wonder what kind of retribution, if any, Cherry Bomb will have in store for her given that Wanda caused Cherry Bomb to lose her first match in MONTHS.[/LIST][LIST] [*]We are a virtually unknown company outside of the North West. It seems as if nowhere else in the United States even knows we exist. That alone is what's preventing us from securing any television deals. It's a given that we'll lose money should we branch out to these different areas right now. One idea I have is maybe run a show in the Northwest which will bring some good ticket sales revenue and then run a show in one of our "unknowns" and do this the remainder of the year. Financially we've pretty much gained back all the money we lost and THEN SOME. So that's not really an issue.[/LIST][LIST] [*]I've decided to stop distrubuting our events by DVD and Home Video. Instead, i've opted to have our shows distributed via the internet. I feel right now, I could use all the exposure I can get. What better way to garner attention than to allow fans from all over the world to view our shows via the internet?[/LIST][LIST] [*]5SSW is still touring and it's irritating the holy hell out of me. I can never get Joanne Rodriguez available to work for my show. Soon enough though. Soon enough...[/LIST]

She just didn't stand out to me as much as I would've liked. I wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors and told her i'd keep an eye on her. I figure let her improve some on the indy's. I've also come to terms on a contract with Melody Cuthill. Emma Bitch worked with her in NOTBPW and suggested I check her out. I absolutely loved what I saw and immediately offered her a contract. Seiko dominated Suzue early in the match.. however, the longer the match went, the more the advantage went to Suzue who was clearly in better physical shape than Seiko. We held shows in California and Nevada and while the attendance left alot to be desired, I feel it was a success from a recognition standpoint. Financially, we lost nearly $20,000 last month. I can't say i'm happy about that, but right now, the only way we can expand is to actually go into those areas and test out the waters.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Day one of Girls Night Out turned out GREAT despite being plagued by SEVERAL of our top talent not being available. Joanne Rodriguez, Melody Cuthill, and Helen Wheels were just a few. Despite that, I still loved the show.[/LIST][LIST] [*]The feedback from our shows in those areas have been great thus far. Everyone seemed to like the show and it definitely created some buzz in that area.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Joanne Rodriguez made it publically known that she's changing her wrestling style to portray more of a "Super Junior." Is it me or is everyone trying to be a "Super Junior" now?[/LIST][LIST] [*]Nene Ebina seems to be strugging to find people she can mesh with well as a wrestler. None of her matches have been all that great.. the one match she did perform well in, she had Cherry Bomb and Wanda Fish in the match with her. I'm very high on her in-ring skills.. it's just her performance skills, more notably her selling that sours the deal for me. After about 5 months, she's shown no improvement really. I'm very torn right now.[/LIST][LIST] [*]After a couple of months, i've seemed to grab a good concept of who I need to use on a regular basis and who I can count on to produce good matches. Next month, to continue my "feeling out process" I plan on running four shows. Two in our home town.. and two back in the southwest. Overkill, sure. But right now, i'm desperate. I've got to start getting our product out there. The previous owner might've been content to being "regional" but i'm certainly not.[/LIST][LIST] [*]Also, expect to see more storylines. I'm not talkin' "Oh, you slept with my man.. it's on!" type storylines either. Simple, wrestling-fueled storylines. The past couple of months were more getting to know the wrestlers. Suzanne sits on the middle rope, opening them for Cherry Bomb to exit. Cherry Bomb then showed her true colors and NAILED Suzanne with a VICIOUS kick to the head knocking her out of the ring and onto the floor. Wanda Fish eventually picked up the victory in 12:07 after nailed Melody with the Dish Of The Day. After the match, Melody literally snaps.. and attacks Wanda Fish. (What's with all of the attacks?!) After a series of punches and stomps, Melody grabs a chair and BLASTS Wanda over the head. The ref throws up the "X" sign and several EMT's come out to assist Wanda to end one hell of a show! Cherry Bomb faked an injury, distracting the referee.. meanwhile, Dharma slid in the ring and sprayed an unsuspecting Suzanne Brazzle in the eye with what appeared to be hair spray. Cherry then miraculously healed and nailed the Cherry Popper for the first victory of the series in 12:02. The crowd never got fully into the match though, only to come alive when Wanda Fish made her way to the ring, distracting Melody just enough for Raven to score the upset victory in 11:26! I get to determine the match tonight. And, the match i've decided upon is.. a SUBMISSION match! Knowing she wasn't going to get anywhere, Cherry took every shortcut she could. Stopping the match accusing Suzanne of spitting.. even went as far as accusing Suzanne of groping her. At the 12:44 mark though, Cherry Bomb picked up the submission victory after a move that she calls the "Cherry Stem Knot" (See: Bryan Danielson's Cattle Mutilation) Cherry Bomb is now up 2 - 0 in the best of seven series.
