The Path to Fame Starts in Canada (C-Verse)

It was a cool winter day in Canada when the phone rang. “Hello?” “This is George DeColt, I'm looking for Zack Macomber, is he there?” “Haha, very funny, what can I do for you 'George'?” “This is serious business. I know you've been booking the independent shows recently, they've been good, considering the talent you've been using. I want you to come to CGC. I've got a proposition for you.” “I'm listening.” “The wrestling industry has hit a real slump lately, but the Stone's haven't been affected by it nearly as much as we have. I think it's time we push forward. I want to destroy the Stone's.” “I don't care for them much either. We may be able to do some business. I'll be in Vancouver next Monday.” “I'll see you then.” “Yeah...” The conversation ended with that. George DeColt, eh? Yeah, I think I may have just hit it big. Some of you may ask what I have against the Stone Family. It has to do with Professionalism, something that only Jeremy Stone seems to have. The rest of the family don't know how to respect. They think they're the top dogs in Canada and that no one else is worth their time. They snubbed a few of us when we were breaking in to the business. I took it personally after the others quit. They're all going down. (Edit: Gotta love the telephone gimmick, I mean, seriously, I think I've started all of them out something like this.)

Here's the deal with Canadian Golden Combat. They're an old school entertainment company that revolve their shows around the DeColt family. Steve, Alex, Jack, and Ricky, Steve being the best of the group in the ring, but all of them possessing charisma up the wazoo. Their competition come in the form of the Elite. Dan DaLay, John Maverick, and Eddie Chandler. John and Eddie are technical wrestlers, while Dan can brawl with any of the DeColt boys. This always has and likely always will be the way the CGC is run, until the day it dies. The only way to end the cycle is for one of them to get hurt. I don't see it happening. George has recently given up the authority figure role for the color commentary position. Taking his place is Roger Rogers, who zooms around the ringside area on his power wheelchair. When he took the job, he promised to call things straight, but the Elite got into his ear and have been running the show recently. The midcard is full of decent performers. The tag scene is interesting, as Youth Energy (Shane Nelson and Lee Rivera) have the tag straps and are being chased by the new Soldiers of Fortune, the Specialists, and the Gilbert Brothers. They should all be capable of putting out quality matches, it just depends how they're placed together. That, and I've been big on Destiny (The Insane Heat) for a few years now. Shooter Sean Deeley is the Canadian Champion and is causing a stir with his technical skills. The only people that can match his skills are far too busy in the main event scene, so he may be holding onto that belt for quite awhile. His main competition comes from Ed Monton, Whippy the Clown, and Zeus Maxmillian. The intangibles are the Canadian economy and wrestling industry. Both are weak and not getting any better. This will be my big test. Will I be able to turn a profit with these guys? I think I will. George sat down with me for our meeting and gave me some relatively easy goals. As long as I can get these guys going strong, there's no way I won't be able to help CGC grow. The long term goal is to destroy NOTBPW. I plan on it George.

Sunday, Week 2, January 2007. Well, it sure didn't take long for NOTBPW to poach some of our workers. We've lost some important people. A.K. Garcia, Destiny, Whippy the Clown, Jerome Turner, and one other important name. That's alright, the wheels have been set into motion and all those names will be replaced with better ones. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports Pengrowth Place The Prairies, Canada This week, Alex and Ricky DeColt made their way to the ring. They talked a little about how the Elite are going to pay for their cheating last week. Dan DaLay and Ryan Powell take offense and come out to the ring. Dan announces that Ryan is the newest member of the Elite and together, tonight, they will beat the DeColt brothers. Alex and Ricky tell them to bring it on. Rating: B- We go backstage to Zeus Maxmillian, who makes some taunting comments toward Nathan Black, as he hypes for their match. Rating: D Zeus is able to make good on his taunts, as he makes short work of Black in 6 minutes with the Thunder Bolt. Rating: C- Team Trademarked (Thomas Morgan and Kashmir Singh) make their CGC debut by calling out the Soldiers of Fortune. They say that their Luck is about to run out. Rating: E+ Fate came down to the ring himself, to the stun of the crowd. He stepped in the ring and announced his new partner, Luck (Primal Rage). The Even Newer Soldiers of Fortune take it to Team Trademarked and beat them soundly in 7 minutes when Luck makes Kashmir tap with a Silent Scream. Rating: E We cut to the back to catch the arrival of CGC's newest star, “Remarkable” Steve Flash. The fans are excited as he makes his way to the arena. Rating: D- Steve comes to the ring as Shooter Sean Deeley is waiting for a match. The two men stare down and then begin to brawl. The match settles down into a technical setting, which Steve gets the advantage in. He hits the Flash Bang and pins Deeley for the Canadian Title in 8 minutes. Rating: D+ We cut to the back in time to catch the tail end of a brawl between the Specialists and Youth Energy. They are broken up by security and have some words for each other. Rating: E+ Alex and Ricky DeColt come down to the ring to hype the fans up for their match against DaLay and Powell. They promise a victory tonight. Rating: B- Alex and Ricky start the match off strong, but are constantly put off by A.K. Garcia. DaLay and Powell are able to take advantage and get the victory in 13 minutes thanks to more interference by Garcia. Rating: C- The rest of the Elite run down to the ring and have a field day on Alex and Ricky. The DeColts are left down in a battered heap as the show goes off the air. Rating: B- Attendance: 1,882 Show Rating: C- TV Rating: 3.58 “You can do better than that, kid.” George wasn't too happy with how the show turned out. Probably because Jack and Steve had the night off. I won't be making that mistake again. The fans wanted to see the DeColts, I should probably give them what they want. “What do you have planned for Elimination?” I almost forgot about the upcoming Pay-Per-View, but I'm ready to give this one a shot. “We're gonna start off hot with Ricky DeColt vs. Ryan Powell. You know, keep the feud running. Then we'll see a tag title match between The Specialists vs. Youth Energy © . Move into a fast paced Six Way Scramble for the Canadian Title, as Steve Flash © defends against Joey Poison, Harry Wilson, Ed Monton, Zeus Maxmillian, and Me. We'll keep going strong with Steve and Jack DeColt vs. Eddie Chandler and John Maverick. And then finish off the night with Dan DaLay challenging Alex DeColt © for the World Title.” “Doesn't sound too bad. Make sure it isn't. You don't want this job to be over yet, eh?”
I am gonna say the same thing I have said in other diaries... use bold to highlight your segments. It makes it easier to read. I liked the first 2 shows though. Luck and the new team should be good though.
Don't worry, my first two shows didn't have a good format to them, but once I hit the PPV, the format comes in. Let me know what you think.
Good start, but some nasty losses there to NOTBPW. I've found out the hard way that the crowd generally whine if you don't throw all of the DeColts on TV as much as possible!
Yeah, this is something I've learned over the weeks I've done this so far. 1 hour of TV just isn't enough. Maybe an hour and a half would work better.
This will come as no suprise to anyone but I'm really Glad you gave Steve Flasha title on his debut match.
Flash has been my boy since the original TEW. He may be getting older, and he may need a manager to cut a decent promo... but no one can compete in the ring. I sure wish I had the 1.3 patch before starting this game, maybe I could have held on to Deeley, who I had a plan for. Haha.

Friday, Week 3, January 2007. CGC Elimination Live on Pay-Per-View Kamloops Royal Athletic Park British Columbia, Canada The show begins backstage where John Maverick and Eddie Chandler stand. “Last week was the last week you'll see A.K. Garcia on CGC TV for quite some time. Y'see, he left us high and dry, but it's alright, tell him Eddie.” “We came up with another man to help lead us to the destruction of the DeColt Family. It is my pleasure to introduce you to the newest member of the Elite...” The camera looks left and right, sees nobody, and then looks down. A short, stocky man stands with a 1930s style cap on his head. “The name's McGhee, I'm the brains of this operation, and together with their brawn, we'll take down the DeColts, piece by piece.” The three men laugh, signaling a cut to the announce booth. Rating: D+ George DeColt and Marty Papin are on hand to give the proper introduction. “George, I'm super excited to be here for my first CGC Pay-Per-View. I think we have a great card in store for the sellout crowd here in Kamloops, and for the millions watching at home.” “We do indeed, all three titles are on the line tonight, as Youth Energy try to get the belts they own back from the Specialists; “Remarkable” Steve Flash will defend his Canadian Title against five competitors, and in the main event, we will see my son Alex defend the CGC World Title against Dan DaLay.” “Not only will we see those title matches, but we'll also see Ricky DeColt face off against Ryan Powell, and Steve and Jack take on John Maverick and Eddie Chandler. It's not going to be a night to be missed, so let's take it down to ringside, where our first competitors are already in the ring.” Rating: C- Ryan Powell and Ricky DeColt are already in the ring for their match, but before anything can start, the two youths stare each other down, each trying to get the other to make the first move. Rating: C Ricky DeColt vs. Ryan Powell The bell rings and Ricky is quick to take the lead. He hammers on Ryan and looks to his father for approval. George praises his youngest on commentary, but the unfocused Ricky loses his advantage to Ryan. Powell uses his skills to keep Ricky grounded. The fans get behind the DeColt boy and power him back into the match. Ricky is able to keep his momentum and finish Ryan off with the DeColt .45 in 13 minutes. Winner: Ricky DeColt Rating: C+ After the bell, Ricky walks over to Ryan and offers his hand. Ryan snubs it off and Ricky turns away, shaking his head. Rating: C- Ricky pays for his rookie mistake, as Ryan jumps him from behind and beats him down to the mat, spitting on him before leaving. George DeColt is not happy on commentary. Rating: C- We cut back to Youth Energy in the back. Shane Nelson starts. “Thomas, Johnson, you better shine those belts up real nice, because tonight, we're taking them back.” Lee Rivera continues. “Bring them to the ring. If you can beat us, you can keep them, but don't think it's going to be easy. We're coming for you both.” Rating: D- We cut over to Roger Rogers and his team of the Specialists. “You see Youth Energy, these two men are my chosen champions. They are going to carry these belts home tonight in a legitimate manner, as they destroy the both of you.” “Yeah.” - Bobby Thomas. “That's right.” - Nate Johnson. Rating: D The Specialists (Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson) vs. Youth Energy (Lee Rivera and Shane Nelson) © (CGC Tag Team Titles) The Specialists blindsided the champions right away to gain the advantage. They were able to cut Lee Rivera off from his corner for a majority of the match until the hot tag was made and Shane Nelson defeated Nate Johnson in 17 minutes. Winners and still CGC Tag Team Champions: Youth Energy Rating: D+ Lee and Shane are awarded their titles, as Bobby and Nate slink to the back. Rating: D- The announcers take control again. “We were surprised last week by the arrival of Steve Flash. He immediately made an impact by defeating Shooter Sean Deeley for the CGC Canadian Title.” “That's right, Steve is a ring veteran who knows what he's doing. I see his title reign lasting quite a bit longer than Shooter's did.” “Tonight, George, he's going to face five competitors, do you really think he'll be able to walk away the champion?” “Ed Monton and Zeus Maxmillian are his toughest competitors in there. I haven't seen enough of Joey Poison, Harry Wilson, and Zack Macomber to give them a good shot.” “Well, let's see if Steve can hold onto the belt. Let's go to the ring.” Rating: D- Steve Flash © vs. Harry Wilson vs. Ed Monton vs. Zeus Maxmillian vs. Joey Poison vs. Zack Macomber (CGC Canadian Title) This match quickly boiled down to a spotfest, where each man got in some offense and some recognition from the fans. Their entertaining styles really paid off, as the fans gave Steve Flash a standing ovation when he hit the Flash Bang on Zack Macomber for the win at 17 minutes. Winner and still CGC Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C Steve Flash stands tall with the belt raised high. The fans cheer his victory. Rating: D- We go to the back, where John Maverick and Eddie Chandler are standing by. “This is a war started many years ago. Battles have been fought. We've both amassed casualties, but tonight, we swing the tide in our favor. Tonight, we walk away the victors.” - Eddie Chandler “A long time ago, I was approached by the man in the main event tonight. He told me that he would wage war against the evil DeColt empire, and I listened. That man was right on the money. DeColt Brothers, I hope you're prepared for the pain we're about to bring...” Rating: B- Over to Jack and Steve. “How long have we been fighting with these guys, Jack?” “Too long.” “How many times have we wiped the floor with them?” “Too many.” “Will they ever give up?” “They are vermin, who try to stand in the way of righteousness. They won't give up until one of us die.” Jack's jovial nature breaks down into seriousness. “And tonight, we will not die. Steve, tonight, we will take another step forward in the war against the Elite. They will be defeated, that's a promise. Rating: B- Steve & Jack DeColt vs. Eddie Chandler and John Maverick Both teams fought very equally throughout the match, neither team wanting to take a risk. Finally, Steve broke down and charged forward, taking advantage. They kept the pace up until Eddie Chandler made the blind tag in and sucker punched Jack with brass knuckles to get the win at 24 minutes. Winners: Eddie Chandler and John Maverick Rating: C Dan DaLay sits in his locker room, taping his fists up. He's breathing heavily and looks at the camera with a grunt. “Alex DeColt, you have brought down the image of that title for far too long. Everyone knows I am the true World Champion. Tonight, after I lay the beating of your life on you, I will walk away the champion, and the destruction of your family will be inevitable.” Rating: B- We cut over to Alex, who is ready for the match, World Title strapped around his waist. “DaLay, you talk a big talk, but you're going to have to bring an army to take this belt away from me. The DeColt Family will never die. Trust me, YOU are in for the fight of your life.” Rating: A Alex DeColt © vs. Dan DaLay (CGC World Title) The match started slowly, with both man trying to feel the other out. Then, something terrible happened, they started blowing spot after spot. Alex couldn't take a vertical suplex. Dan kept missing punches terribly. It was a real disaster until Brains McGhee slid in a chair and distracted the referee to allow Dan DaLay to lay Alex out and win the match at 22 minutes. Winner and NEW CGC World Champion: Dan DaLay Rating: D+ DaLay holds the belt up high as the rest of the Elite run down to the ring to celebrate with him. The fans hate the finish of the Pay-Per-View and let the men in the ring know it. George DeColt is also audibly frustrated, but it's hard to tell why. Rating: B The Elite continue to celebrate until Steve DeColt appears on the stage. “DaLay, you could never defeat a DeColt without cheating, or interference, but I want my shot. Next month, I want you in the ring. Because I WILL take that title and put it back around a deserving waist.” Rating: B+ George and Marty voice over a highlights package of the show. “George, I know you can't like how that one ended.” “Absolutely not.” “Do you think Steve will get his shot next month?” “If Rogers knows what's good for him, he'll keep calling the war between these two factions right down the middle. Steve will earn the shot, and he'll shut DaLay's mouth for good.” “Well folks, make sure you tune into Title Bout Wrestling, every Sunday on Maple Leaf Sports. Thanks for joining us. Goodnight everybody.” Rating: D+ Attendance: 15,000 Show Rating: C- PPV Rating: 0.26 “I learned a lesson George.” “Oh yeah? What's that?” “Just because two guys are perfect to wrestle each other, doesn't mean the end result will turn out good.” “It's a tough lesson to learn, even worse when it's the main event on Pay-Per-View.” “I'm sorry about that, I thought it would have been perfect.” “You better make up for it Sunday.”

A number of backstage officials run in to stop the beating, but Steve is already a bloody mess. Rating: B- Jack DeColt vs. Luck Jack, completely unaware of the beating of his older brother, starts the night off against Luck. He keeps control of the entire match and wins with the End of Days in six minutes. Winner: Jack DeColt Rating: C- After coming back from commercial, the remaining DeColt boys are in the ring. Alex has the microphone in hand. “You want to pick us off one by one? You want to divide and conquer? I'm going to give your punishment to your boy Ryan coming up in just a few minutes.” Jack, a bit winded from his match, wipes his forehead and grabs the microphone. “Next week, we challenge the three of you to a match. And if you have the guts, you'll accept it.” Jack and Alex pat Ricky on the back and wish him luck before leaving the ring. Rating: B- We are sent to the back, where a brawl between Zeus Maxmillian and Joey Poison is underway. Next week, you'll get your chance, in the ring, one on one.” Rating: D+ Steve Flash © vs. Ryan Powell vs. Ricky DeColt (CGC Canadian TItle) Ryan and Ricky completely forget about Steve and focus on each other. Their wild brawling is met with various attacks by Mr. Flash. However, the two enemies continue to focus on each other, until Steve is able to make the pin on Ryan Powell after a sneak Flash Bang in 8 minutes. Winner and still CGC Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C+ After Steve leaves, Ricky and Ryan get right back to brawling, leading us to a commercial. Rating: D+ The Elite Guard (Eddie Chandler and John Maverick) vs. Youth Energy In this non-title match, the Elite Guard are able to take quick advantage with a sneak attack to start the match. We just handed the Tag Team Champions their asses on a silver platter. Let's get OUR belts.” Rating: B- Dan DaLay © vs. Ed Monton (CGC World Title) Ed Monton uses his fighting skills to keep DaLay on guard for the beginning of the match, but the addition of Brains McGhee at ringside proves too much, as Ed continuously watches his back, giving DaLay the advantage. DaLay Down finishes the match in 8 minutes. Winner and still CGC World Champion: Dan Dalay Rating: C John Maverick and Eddie Chandler join DaLay and McGhee in the ring. McGhee has the microphone. “Didn't I tell you? We are the unstoppable force of the CGC. Tonight was just another series of victories in our caps. We'll continue our devastation next week.” Eddie is handed the microphone. “Steve, I hope you can hear this in the hospital bed you're in. You're never going to get a shot at the World Title, not unless you can go through us to get there.” DaLay grabs the microphone. “This belt belongs to me. Don't ever forget it.” Rating: B- Alex, Jack, and Ricky storm the ring and a brawl breaks out between the two teams. The entire locker room pours out and tries to break the teams up, but they can't seem to hold them all back. The brawl continues for minutes. Sunday, Week 1, February 2007. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports Pengrowth Place The Praries, Canada The show begins with Eddie Chandler in the ring, angering the crowd. “You all know what's going to happen tonight. I'm going to step into that ring, and like every other time, I'm going to come out on top. None of your precious DeColts have been able to beat me. This is why John, Dan, and I decided to come together. We're tired of your arrogance.” “I'm tired of your ranting, you're putting us all to sleep, making the fans at home change the channel. We'll be in that ring tonight, and I'm going to finish this, once and for all.” Jack starts walking toward the ring, but security stops him before he makes it. Steve Flash, you're done for.” Rating: E+ Cameron Vessey vs. Steve Flash © (CGC Canadian Title) Cameron starts the match strong, showing Flash that he is definitely no pushover. However, Steve is able to regroup and come back to show the youngster that experience is a valuable asset, as the Flash Bang comes out of nowhere for the pin in 8 minutes. Winner and still Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C We cut to the back, where Ricky DeColt and Zack Macomber are standing by. “Ryan Powell, you made the mistake of your life when you joined the Elite. You solidified yourself as the enemy of the DeColts. But this man standing next to me, he made the right choice.” “I came to Ricky and asked him for some help. I've had trouble with both our opponents over the past couple weeks. Together, we can take 'em both.” Rating: D We then go over to Ryan and Zeus. “Zeus Maxmillion, welcome to your first test with the Elite. Tonight, when we beat those two clowns, I'll put in a good word for you.” “Thank you Powell. We will make Ricky DeColt and Zack Macomber pay for their incompetence.” Rating: D Ryan Powell and Zeus Maxmillion vs. Ricky DeColt and Zack Macomber Zeus starts the match out showing his superior physical conditioning, as he runs roughshod over Zack. It isn't until a tag to Ricky, that the good guys take advantage. Ricky solidifies the advantage and tags out again, but Zack loses the advantage as he's cut off. He's able to finally make the needed tag and Ricky finishes Zeus with the DeColt 45. Winners: Ricky DeColt and Zack Macomber Rating: D+ We go to the back, where Roger Rogers is with Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson. “Tonight, these two men are going to take the Tag Titles away. They are going to bring them back to me. I want those belts. Do you two understand?” “Yes.” - Bobby Thomas “They're all yours.” -Nate Johnson Rating: D- The Specialists vs. Youth Energy © (CGC Tag Titles) The Specialists are able to cut Lee Rivera off from Shane and work away on his leg. This continues until the hot tag is made. Shane comes in and cleans house with both teams, until Nate Johnson hits a blatant low blow and gets disqualified. Winners and still Tag Team Champions: Youth Energy Rating: C- Roger Rogers grabs a microphone. “You know what? This isn't over. At Luck of the Draw, we're going to see a rematch. This time, there will be no disqualifications, because it's going to be a ladder match.” Rating: D Eddie Chandler comes out to the ring. “Jack DeColt, you make me ill. Every week, you find some way to make my stomach turn. You're worthless. I'm gonna prove it to you tonight.” Jack, not happy, makes his way into the ring. “Chandler, why don't you just shut up and wrestle.” Jack drops the microphone and starts on the attack. Rating: B Eddie Chandler vs. Jack DeColt Jack starts the match with the advantage, thanks to the early attack. He makes the mistake, however, of playing to the crowd, and Eddie is able to cheat his way ahead. He holds the advantage for a majority of the match, until the fans get behind Jack and get him back up. He's able to rock Eddie, but as he calls for the finish, Dan DaLay and John Maverick run-in and attack Jack, causing the DQ. Winner: Jack DeColt Rating: B- The attack on Jack continues, until Steve appears on the big screen. “You know... you guys really make me sick. Always a three on one, or a four on two. Next week, I'll be back in action. Next week, I'm going to start from the bottom. John Maverick, get ready to lose. DaLay, at Luck of the Draw... I will be the CGC World Champion.” Rating: B+ We cut to George DeColt and Marty Papin, as they wrap up the show. “Another big night here on Title Bout Wrestling. George, next week your son Steve will be back in action, as he takes on John Maverick.” “Marty, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Steve is one of the most naturally gifted athletes I've ever seen. John Maverick has a lot to train for.” “Make sure to tune in next week, as we will see Steve DeColt vs. John Maverick. A number one contenders match for the Tag Titles, as the Soldiers of Fortune, Trademarked, Zack Macomber and Joey Poison, and Cameron Vessey and Zeus Maxmillion face off. Ryan Powell will get a Canadian Title shot against Steve Flash. And much, much more. Good night everybody.” Rating: D+ Attendance: 2,000 Rating: C+ TV Rating: 3.80 “Much better.” “Thank you sir. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I have some big shoes to fill, but I can do it.”

Sunday, Week 2, February 2007. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports Varsity Arena Ontario, Canada Ryan Powell starts our show off this week in the ring. “Steve Flash, you came into CGC with an automatic title shot. I've been here for years and I've been constantly overlooked since I lost the belt nearly 4 years ago. I'm getting my shot tonight and I'm bringing the belt to the Elite.” Rating: D Ryan Powell vs. Steve Flash © (CGC Canadian Title) Ryan starts off strong knowing that he has nothing to lose. Steve is forced to play comeback and he is successfully able to, until Ryan pulls a pair of brass knuckles from his trunks. He gets ready to punch while the referee asks Flash to stop pulling the hair, per Powell's request. However, the distraction proves costly for Powell, as Ricky DeColt runs out, takes the knucks from Powell and slaps him around into a Flash Bang and a Steve Flash title defense. Winner and still CGC Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C Ryan Powell is steaming in the ring while Ricky DeColt walks off backward, grinning smugly. Rating: C We cut to Thomas Morgan and Kashmir Singh in the back. “Kash, we've been teaming together for a little while now, but without much success. Tonight, we have been given an opportunity to challenge for the Tag Titles, if we win this match. We need to prove ourselves. Ler's give 'em hell.” “Tommy, we work hard. We play hard. We'll win the Tag Titles.” Rating: E- Then over to Joey Poison and Zack Macomber. “Joey, last week I got the honor of tagging with Ricky DeColt, now I get the honor of teaming with you. Let's win our shot at glory.” “You got it, buddy.” Rating: E Finally, we go to Zeus Maxmillion and Cameron Vessey. “I've wrestled your father and your uncle. If you have even a fraction of their talent and intensity, those titles are as good as ours.” “If you're happy with just a fraction, then you're going to be ecstatic with my skills.” Rating: E Trademarked vs. Zeus Maxmillion and Cameron Vessey vs. Zack Macomber and Joey Poison vs. the Soldiers of Fortune (Number 1 Contendership to Tag Titles) Trademarked are the first eliminated, as Cameron Vessey pins Kashmir Singh. Next to go is Zeus Maxmillion and Cameron Vessey, after Zeus gets hit with a Zackinoku Driver. Fate is the last to score a decision, as he destroys Zack with a devastating shoulder tackle for the win. Winners: The Soldiers of Fortune Rating: D Fate and Luck stand in the middle of the ring, proud of their victory, leading to commercial. Rating: E- (Why did I do that?) We come back to the Elite in the back. Brains stands in the middle of the three. “Steve DeColt, you've bit off more than you can chew by challenging the Silent Assassin. He's going to rip you apart. And the last bit of life in you is going to be saved, spared for Luck of the Draw. Allowed to survive so Dan Dalay can shut you up. Once and for all. It's coming to an end, and we will walk out the victors.” Rating: C Now over to Steve DeColt. “Maverick, Chandler, DaLay. The three of you think you can run CGC with an iron fist, but we will always stand in your way. The DeColts will never submit and never surrender. I'm coming for the World Title.” Rating: B- John Maverick vs. Steve DeColt The two men start the match slowly, working into a long mat based match. Steve is able to one up Maverick at every point. Brains, seeing enough, waves to the back and Dan DaLay comes running out. He tries distracting Steve, but eats a fist for it. Riding the momentum, Steve lifts John up and hits DeColt Stampede for the win. Winner: Steve DeColt Rating: C- The Elite storm the ring to attack Steve, but Alex and Jack are out within seconds to even things up. Friday, Week 3, February 2007. CGC Luck of the Draw Live on Pay-Per-View Kamloops Royal Athletic Park British Columbia, Canada The show starts with an opening video that clips the past couple months of shows and stories of the undercard and midcard feuds. We then settle to George and Marty at the announce table. “Welcome everyone to CGC's Luck of the Draw!” “I'm Marty Papin, and alongside me is the one and only, George DeColt. We're in Kamloops tonight for the second CGC PPV of the year. Tonight is going to be headlined by Steve DeColt facing Dan DaLay for the CGC World Title.” “It's going to be one hell of a match and I am going to be on my son Steve to walk away the champion.” “DaLay won the World title last month at Elimination. He's going to be trying hard to keep that belt, but if I were Steve, I wouldn't go in there without watching my back. The Elite are all about keeping the belt around DaLay's waist.” “It's going to be a great show tonight Marty, so let's get started.” Rating: D+ We are shown a highlight video of the Elite. This particular package highlights the cheating nature of Maverick, Chandler, McGhee, and DaLay over the past couple months. There's even a cameo by A.K. Garcia. Rating: B- We then get a very similar video shown for the DeColts. However, instead of focusing on negative, the positives of their matches, saves, and promos are shown. Rating: B- Taped earlier tonight. We go backstage to see Tommy Morgan in the catering room, getting a plate of food. Trent Shaffer walks up from behind and shoves Tom, causing him to drop his plate. “What was that for?” “That was cause I don't like you. Got a problem?” Tommy gets up in his face. “Yeah, I do have a problem.” “What're you gonna do about it?” “Go grab yourself a partner, we're going to settle this in the ring.” Rating: D Trent Shaffer and Nathan Black vs. Trademarked The two teams fight back and forth throughout the match, trading the advantage. A double hot tag turns into a four way fight that Nathan Black comes out on top, hitting Tommy Morgan with a Black Dog Down. Winners: Trent Shaffer and Nathan Black Rating: C- We cut back to Zeus Maxmillion. “Tonight is the night I take the Canadian Title. Steve Flash, you've kept the belt for too long. It's my turn now.” Rating: D We cut over to Zack. “Steve, you're a damn fine competitor, but I want that title to prove that I belong here in CGC. I'm gonna come at you full force.” Rating: D- Joey Poison is next. “I've wrestled here in Canada for awhile, and I know a great wrestler when I see one. Steve, you're a great wrestler, but you've got some stiff competition tonight.” Rating: D- Cameron Vessey is standing in the back and reveals Roger Rogers with him. “It seems as if I've found a new client to help rocket to the top. Cameron Vessey isn't only a second generation talent, he's going to be named rookie of the year after his Canadian Title victory tonight.” Rating: D+ Jenny Playmate is standing by with Ed Monton. “It's only fair that Ed be placed in this match. He's one of the best wrestlers I know and he's going to prove it by outlasting five other men in that ring tonight.” Rating: D+ Steve Flash © vs. Zeus Maxmillion vs. Joey Poison vs. Zack Macomber vs. Ed Monton vs. Cameron Vessey (CGC Canadian Title) Steve is able to hold onto his title in this elimination match. Cameron Vessey fell first to Joey Poison, then Zeus Maxmillion lost to a Zackinoku Driver, then Zack Macomber was taken out by a Flash Bang, then Joey Poison fell to the Flash Bang, and finally Ed Monton fell to the Flash Bang. Winner and still Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C Steve is handed the title and invites his valet, Hotstuff Marie, into the ring to celebrate. Rating: C- Jenny Playmate is in the back with Youth Energy. “These two men have held onto this title through all the challenges they've faced. We have beaten the Specialists night in and night out. It's time another team got a shot at the belts. After these two men scale up the ladder and retrieve their titles, this feud is over.” Rating: C- We then go over to Roger Rogers and the Specialists. “It seems that everyone is forgetting that I'm the boss around here. I make the matches. The Specialists will walk away with the Tag Titles. That's a guarantee. Right boys?” “Yeah.” - Bobby Thomas “Damn straight.” - Nate Johnson Rating: D+ The Specialists vs. Youth Energy © (CGC Tag Team Titles) These four men come into the match with a new intensity. They exchange big time ladder spots and come close to grabbing the belts several times, but the match comes to an end with Shane Nelson sacrificing himself to take Bobby and Nate out of the picture so Lee can grab the belts for the win. Winners and still Tag Team Champions: Youth Energy Rating: C We cut back to Ryan Powell. “There isn't anyone in this country I hate more than Ricky DeColt... Now that I think about it, there isn't anyone in the world I hate more than Ricky DeColt. What really pisses me off is that the people are so blinded by his lies that they think he's a poster boy for clean living. You don't fool me, and tonight, I'm beating your ass.” Rating: C- Ricky is next. “Powell, there isn't anything that I have to say to you that I haven't already said. I've proven numerous times in the past that I am the better wrestler. I was brought up to take out garbage like you. I'm leaving this match tonight with my arm raised in victory.” Rating: C- Ryan Powell vs. Ricky DeColt Both competitors start the match out with a quick paced exchange of spots. Ricky takes advantage and holds onto it. Ryan can't seem to get back into the match, until he hits a low blow out of the ref's vision. He is then able to take over and scores a surprise roll up and a handful of tights. Winner: Ryan Powell Rating: C We cut back to the Elite Guard. “John, are you ready? We finally get to put those two lying pigs in their place. Finally, we get the glory. Are you ready?” “I'm damn ready.” Rating: C+ Then, over to Alex and Jack. “Jack, it's almost time.” “I know.” “We're going to go out there. We're going to meet those two in the ring and rip 'em to shreds.” “Yes we are.” “We're going to put them down for the count and walk away with a win for the DeColts.” “I agree.” “The feeling of revenge is going to be so damn sweet.” “And the feeling later tonight of Steve winning the World Title is going to put it all into perspective.” “The DeColts rule the CGC.” Rating: B- Elite Guard vs. Jack and Alex DeColt The DeColts start off the match with a lot of quick tags and strong offense on Eddie Chandler. This continues until John Maverick gets the tag and levels the playing field with his precise attacks. The Elite Guard then cut Jack off from his corner for several minutes. The fans are practically begging for Alex to get the tag and when he finally does, all hell breaks loose. He is able to sway the match back immediately, but after a bit on top, Brains McGhee makes his presence known and Eddie Chandler is able to win the match. Winners: The Elite Guard Rating: C+ We cut back to Steve DeColt. “Oh how I hate ye, let me count thy ways. Dan DaLay, you have been a thorn in my family's side for years. Tonight, I'm going to continue the eradication of the Elite. When the dust settles, history will see a new World Champion crowned tonight.” Rating: B Then over to Dan and Brains. “Dan, you have nothing to worry about. As long as you stick to the game plan, the Eliteare going to walk out of Luck of the Draw with a clean sweep. Steve DeColt is a sad, pathetic old man, just like his dear old dad.” “Let's get this over with.” Rating: B- Steve DeColt vs. Dan DaLay © (CGC World Title) Both men start the match with intense brawling. The referee has trouble getting control, as the men battle around ringside and in the crowd. Finally, Long gets control and the match is in the ring. Steve takes advantage and looks like he's giving Dan fits, but as it looks like he's going to put DaLay away, Maverick, Chandler, and Powell run out. But Steve isn't alone, as Jack, Alex, and Ricky come out right after them. All eight men get into the ring and the referee is forced to throw the match out. This match is a Double DQ Draw. Rating: C As the two factions are separated, DaLay grabs his title and celebrates his “victory.” Rating: B+ Attendance: 14,250 Rating: C PPV Buyrate: 0.20 “Good show.” “Thanks boss, I appreciate it.” “Don't use yourself so much.” “Yes sir, sorry sir.”

Time for a segment I like to call, getting to know the roster. Every weekish, I plan on going through the roster and highlighting three to five wrestlers and help everyone get further inside them. This week, we take a look at a Jack DeColt, Ryan Powell, and Joey Poison. Jack DeColt – The third of the DeColt boys. He's possibly the most over of the four, being the first man to hold the CGC World Title four times. He's also held the Tag Titles on five occasions, three with Steve, one with Alex, and once with his biggest enemy, Eddie Chandler. He's an entertainer by trade, which comes easy thanks to his natural charisma and star quality. He is one of the top workers in the promotion, but still has a lot of room to improve. Jack is one of the stars of the promotion and will be treated as such. He's an old fashioned, old school crowd favorite. The fans want to see him every week. Ryan Powell – Ryan was once a bland all-rounder, but has recently seen a jump in popularity across Canada. Well, at least until I came in. He has good entertainment skills, really good performance skills, and the look necessary to succeed. On paper he seems like a great fit for the Elite, but he's yet to show that breakout performance. If the DeColts/Elite feud ever comes to an end, look for Ryan Powell to be a huge star. He's a former Canadian Champion and Tag Champion (with Shane Nelson). He's a ****y young kid since winning the Canadian Title in 2002. Joey Poison – Joey is not a CGC grown star. He was picked up on a PPA agreement from 4C, where he is both head booker and Champion. Joey is a very good all around wrestler who knows how to work a crowd. It's very likely that he'll help bring people up to his level in the tag division. He's a laid back dude, who isn't necessarily looking to rocket to the top. -- Sunday, Week 3, February 2007. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports Quebec City Arena Quebec, Canada Our show begins with the surprising arrival of former SWF star, Danny B. Bling. “What's he doing here, George?” “I don't know, but I'm sure he'll tell us later on tonight!.” Rating: D We cut over to Roger Rogers and the Specialists in the back. “You two make me sick... you were bred for the ladder match, but you just couldn't get it done. Well, tonight I gave you something easy. You need to get your confidence back up. So go out there and destroy Bob Casey and Zack Macomber.” “Yes Boss.” - Bobby Thomas “You got it.” - Nate Johnson Rating: D Bob Casey and Zack Macomber vs. The Specialists. This is a simple squash match from beginning to end, with the Specialists coming out on top. Winners: The Specialists Rating: D+ We go back to Alex DeColt. “I'm paired up tonight against the “Bronze God” Zeus Maxmillion. He's a great competitor in his own right, but I can't help thinking about the Elite and the pain they've caused my family. It isn't over by a long shot boys. Watch yourselves.” Rating: D George and Marty have some news for us. “We've been told that Steve Flash is going to defend his title in a 3 way dance tonight against Jack DeColt and new arrival Danny B Bling.” “A chance for one of my boys to win some gold. I'm on board.” Rating: D+ Zeus Maxmillion vs. Alex DeColt Another straight forward squash, however Zeus actually gets some offense in before getting beaten by the DeColt Driver. Winner: Alex DeColt Rating: C Alex celebrates his victory for a quick moment, until Dan DaLay runs out from the back and puts the boots to him. DaLay Down follows and the World Champion walks off with a smile on his face. Rating: B We cut back to Jack. “Tonight is my shot at the Canadian Title. Believe me, I'm going to do everything in my power to walk out the champion. Flash, you've fought admirably, but tonight, the belt becomes mine.” Rating: D Over to Danny. “It's about time the “King of Swing,” “The Masta of Disasta,” “The Tri-Country Hustla” made his way up here to Canada. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Danny B. Bling, the man with all the answers. I'm here to show everyone out there that I am the greatest wrestler of all time. Steve, we've met elsewhere in the past, and every time the outcome came out the same. You looking up at the lights. History repeats itself, and tonight, I win that pretty little belt around your waist.” Rating: C- Hotstuff Marie and Steve Flash are standing by. “He follows me wherever I go. Danny B, I know you're envious of the Remarkable One, but leave it alone. I'm just going to embarrass you again out here, just like last September. And Jack, I know you're mad about me taking your lady, but she made her decision. Sorry pal.” Rating: D+ Steve Flash © vs. Jack DeColt vs. Danny B Bling (CGC Canadian Title) The three men start the match out fast and exciting. Steve can work either man's style and does so convincingly. Jack tries to put both men away, but the free man is able to make the save each time. Steve and Danny team up and clothesline Jack out of the ring and as they turn to face each other, Steve hits the Flash Bang for the win. Winner and still Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C- We cut to the back, where Alex DeColt and Dan DaLay are brawling. Staff and officials try to break them up, but get beat up for interfering. Rating: B- We cut over to Eddie Chandler. “Ricky DeColt, I'm about to put another feather in my cap. You made a big mistake asking for this match. I'm going to tie you up in knots and get revenge for Ryan Powell. Pain has never sounded so sweet. Haha!” Rating: C+ Over to Ricky DeColt. “Eddie Chandler. My brother says you were once an honorable man, but that those days are long behind you. I've been taught the DeColt way, and I'm going to teach it to you tonight.” Rating: B- Eddie Chandler vs. Ricky DeColt The two men fight a back and forth match, trading the advantage several times. As soon as Ricky looks like he's in a good spot, Eddie cheats his way back into contention. This continues, with Eddie working on the ribs. Finally a DeColt 45 is countered and Chandler locks on the Fabulous Stretch, forcing a tap out. Winner: Eddie Chandler Rating: B Attendance: 2,000 Rating: C+ TV Rating: 4.20 “Sorry Steve and I were late tonight kid, traffic problems.” “That's fine, it's not like I can punish you anyway.” “That's true, I am the boss, aren't I?” “Yeap.”

Big news between shows. A rematch from Elimination has been signed for this week's Title Bout Wrestling, as Dan DaLay will defend his belt against Alex DeColt. In other news, Fate and Luck have decided to cash in on their Tag Title Shot and will face Youth Energy. Also in action, Eddie Chandler will face Ed Monton for a shot at the Canadian Title next week. Now, on to the spotlighted wrestlers of the week. We'll take a look at Eddie Chandler, Steve Flash, and Zeus Maxmillion. Eddie Chandler – Eddie is a fine technical wrestler with amazing charisma to back himself up. He's been the top rule breaker in CGC for quite awhile, but he's been surpassed in popularity recently by Dan DaLay. He hasn't let that turn him away though, as his fabulous persona will never allow him to be second best. Eddie's ready for his run. Steve Flash – The Remarkable One. Steve is the epitome of great wrestler. He may be getting up there in age, at 40 years old, but he's still got a lot in the tank. He proved to everyone in CGC he's not ready to retire yet, as he won the Canadian Title on his debut, and has already defended it 7 times. He's not a stranger to CGC either, he is a former Tag Title holder with Jon Jetson in the second half of 1993. He also holds the NYCW Tri-State Regional Title. Steve is your typical beloved old school wrestler, however if we recognized tweeners these days, he'd be one for sure. Zeus Maxmillion – The Bronzed God is another great all-rounder in the undercard of CGC. He has the skills and the look to go a great distance in the world of professional wrestling. Despite only winning one match out of seven this year, his popularity has increased a bit. If he's able to get into the Elite, it might be what he needs to break out into a winning streak. BREAKING NEWS: In a huge happening, NOTBPW loses their TV Slot on Canada On-Air. This could be very problematic for the largest company in Canada. -- Sunday, Week 4, February 2007. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports Pengrowth Place The Prairies, Canada The show begins this week backstage, where Alex DeColt and Dan DaLay are engaged in a fight for their lives. The two men throw each other into walls, tables, through windows, and can't seem to get enough violence. Rating: B We cut over to the office of Roger Rogers, who is with Zack Macomber and Joey Poison. “Roger, we need a match. Next week, we want Shaffer and Black.” - Zack “Yeah dude, we want to kick their asses.” - Joey “You really want it? - Roger “Yeah.” - Both “Fine, you've got it. You better not lose.” - Roger Rating: D- We go over to Eddie Chandler. “Apparently I'm slumming tonight. Ed Monton, while you were once a viable competitor... back in the early 90s... you're not at my level. I am “Fabulous” Eddie Chandler, I am the biggest star in CGC today. I'm stepping right over Ed Monton and am taking the Canadian Title next week.” Rating: C Eddie Chandler vs. Ed Monton Ed Monton starts throwing bombs right away. Eddie is caught off guard and takes a minute, but trips Ed Monton up and ties him into a knot. Ed Monton gets the crowd behind him and gets back up to his feet, which cause Brains McGhee to get on the apron. Ed charges and leaves himself open to a leg clip and a figure four for the win. Winner: Eddie Chandler Rating: C+ Cameron Vessey runs out after the match and stomps away at Ed Monton's leg. Rating: E We cut to the back, where the Soldiers of Fortune are joined by Danny B. Bling. “Fate and Luck are the reason I'm here in CGC. They told me they needed someone to take care of the office business, because they we're getting screwed night after night. I'm here to make sure that these men get their shot at the Tag Titles. Lee Rivera, Shane Nelson, these two men are going to finish you off tonight.” Rating: D- Then over to Youth Energy and Jenny Playmate. “It seems that my boys have quite the targets painted around their waists. I know everyone wants these belts, but they're going to have to go through the greatest tag team CGC has ever seen to get them.” Rating: C- Soldiers of Fortune vs. Youth Energy © (CGC Tag Team Titles) The Soldiers of Fortune, unsurprisingly, use their size and strength to take advantage in the match. The match is almost entirely one sided, until Shane and Lee are able to get together and double team the brutes. The Specialists run down to the ring and attack Youth Energy, causing the referee to call for a DQ. Winners and still Tag Team Champions: Youth Energy Rating: D The Specialists continue their attack in the ring, as the Soldiers of Fortune look on with disgust. Rating: D- After commercial, Steve DeColt comes to the ring and announces that he has a very special treat in store for the fans. He calls out Hotstuff Marie, Jenny Playmate, and Katie Cameron out to the ring. They all come out and stand in the ring. Steve announces that he is the MC for a bikini contest between these three ladies. The fans rightfully go nuts. Each girl gets a turn and all three get lots of cheers from the fans. However, when forced to pick a winner, the decision goes to Jenny Playmate. Rating: C+ Alex DeColt comes out to the ring next. “DaLay! Get out here now! This match starts now!” DaLay comes out with Brains McGhee. “You want a fight with this man? You want to fight the World Champion? You don't deserve to fight Dan DaLay!” DaLay puts his hand in front of Brains and points to himself. “You want to fight him? By all means.” DaLay walks to the ring and gets in. Rating: B Alex DeColt vs. Dan DaLay © (CGC World Title) Well, it's a lot better than their PPV match, but still not as good as it should have been. These two men don't click. Their brawl continued, this time in match form. They brawled through the crowd, around the ring, and then finally in the ring, where Brains made his presence known, and DaLay Down was inevitable. Winner and still World Champion: Dan DaLay Rating: C DaLay puts the boots to Alex after the fact, but the DeColt is able to get back up to his feet and fight back. The two men continue their brawl through the arena as the show closes. Rating: B- Attendance: 2,000 Rating: C TV Rating: 4.24

Thursday, Week 1, March 2007. Oh, didn't I mention? We secured a second TV show, Thursday nights at 11. We get another hour and a half a week to build up to the big shows. And just in time too. The DeColt WrestleFestival is coming up fast. It's all good though. We're in a growth time. CGC Wrestle Wars Live on Maple Leaf Sports Varsity Arena Ontario, Canada The show begins with a brand spankin' new intro video. We then go down to ringside where George DeColt is joined by Terry Smith. “Ladies in gentlemen, I want to start off by thanking you for tuning in this late for our first episode of CGC Wrestle Wars. Some of you may recognize me, but for those who don't, I'm Terry Smith. I am honored tonight to be joined by one of my all time heroes, George DeColt.” “Thanks son, I appreciate it. I just want to say that tonight is a huge kick start for this television show. Not only are we having a battle royal to determine the man who will face Steve Flash on Title Bout Wrestling, but we are going to see my four sons do battle with the Elite.” “It's going to be one hell of a night. Your ninety minute action pack starts now.” Rating: D+ We are shown a hype video for the fifteen men in the battle royal. We see highlights and get quick comments from Ed Monton, Bob Casey, William Hayes, Joey Poison, Harry Wilson, Zack Macomber, Bobby Thomas, Nate Johnson, Shane Nelson, Lee Rivera, Fate, Luck, Danny B Bling, Cameron Vessey, and Zeus Maxmillion. (E-, E+, E-) 15-Man Battle Royal for shot at the Canadian Title The match started quick, with Bob Casey being eliminated by Zeus Maxmillion immediately. The order of elimination went as follows: Bob Casey eliminated by Zeus Maxmillion at 0:05 Zack Macomber eliminated by Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson at 2:48 Fate eliminated by Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson at 3:11 William Hayes eliminated by Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson at 5:02 Bobby Thomas eliminated by Lee Rivera at 5:10 Nate Johnson eliminated by Shane Nelson at 5:11 Joey Poison eliminated by Zeus Maxmillion at 7:58 Cameron Vessy eliminated by Luck at 10:10 Luck eliminated by Zeus Maxmillion at 10:16 Ed Monton eliminated by Zeus Maxmillion and Danny B Bling at 14:24 Zeus Maxmillion eliminated by Shane Nelson and Lee Rivera at 17:30 Harry Wilson eliminated by Lee Rivera at 20:03 Lee Rivera eliminated by Shane Nelson at 20:30 Shane Nelson eliminated by Danny B Bling at 20:44 Winner: Danny B Bling Rating: C- Danny is given a microphone. “Steve Flash, it's going to be painful on Sunday when I take the Canadian Title away from you. I came here to dethrone you once again.” Rating: D We then go over to George and Terry. “Who do you think was the MVP of that battle royal, George?” “I can easily say that Zeus Maxmillion is your battle royal MVP. By my count he eliminated four guys and set up the eliminations for several others. He's got a lot of talent. If he gets a shot to show it, he could be very big.” “I agree, but my second choice is Harry Wilson. He stayed in there to the final four and I thought he had a good shot at winning.” “I really don't know what Youth Energy was thinking.” “I think Shane got greedy. He wanted the singles shot, but being greedy like that is only going to hurt you, as we saw. After he eliminated Lee, he was taken advantage of by the crafty veteran.” Rating: D We cut back to Roger Rogers. “I'm just here to make it official. On Title Bout Wrestling, this Sunday, Steve Flash will defend his Canadian Title against Danny B Bling.” Rating: D+ The Varsity Club (Trent Shaffer and Nathan Black) are in the back. “We've been left off of shows for far too long. Me and Trent, we're ready for some time to shine.” “We're two of the best wrestlers here, as well as two of the best talkers they've got, but we're constantly being forgot about. Hell, Kash Singh and Tommy Morgan have been on more shows than we have... and they were brought in last month!” “We're breaking out of this hell and coming for the Tag Titles.” Rating: E Varsity Club vs. Trademarked The match starts with Trademarked showing some great team work. Quick, crisp tags keep the fresh man in as they work away at Nathan Black. But one mistake lets the Varsity Club come back with some even better teamwork. They're able to cut Kash Singh off from his corner and never allow the hot tag. The match finishes with the Black Dog Down on Kash for the win. Winners: Varsity Club Rating: D After the match, we go back to Terry. “I've just been given word that another match has been signed for Title Bout Wrestling, as the Varsity Club will face off against Awesome Inc. (Zack Macomber and Joey Poison).” Rating: E We cut to the back where all five members of the Elite (including Brains McGhee and Ryan Powell) are standing. “My four guys here are going to use every trick at their disposal to bring down the DeColt wall of terror. They are going to go out to that ring and destroy the whole lot of you.” “Ooooh baby! The Fabulous One is here. What Brains says is true. The Elite are the most fearsome force in wrestling today. When we go to that ring, we get the job done. Not only are we better wrestlers than the entire DeColt family, we're better looking, and better champions. Tell 'em Ryan.” “These men know talent when they see it. They know when they have a future champion on their hands. I may have been left out of the battle royal tonight, but I'm going to get my shot at the Canadian Title... after we destroy the DeColts.” Rating: C+ And then over to the DeColts. “Ricky, Steve, Jack, are you guys ready for what we have ahead of us?” “Al, I've never been more ready for anything in my life. I've been waiting for the day that the four of us could get together and destroy them. Tonight might just be that night. I can't wait.” “Jack, the revenge we're going to feel tonight is going to be just too sweet. I may not have been able to get the job done and take the title away from DaLay, but we're going to show them that when the DeColts are together, there isn't a force that can stop them.” “Bros, this is going to be one hell of a night. Rating: B- The Elite (Dan DaLay, John Maverick, Eddie Chandler, and Ryan Powell vs. The DeColts (Alex, Jack, Steve, and Ricky) The match starts out with the two youngest wrestlers. They wrestle hard and fast for a few minutes before tagging out to the number two guy of either team. Eddie and Steve mat wrestle for a little bit before tagging in John and Jack. These two battle quickly before tagging in the leaders. Alex and Dan continue where their last brawl left off. This quickly breaks down into all eight men fighting in the ring. The referee is able to get everyone out, except for John and Steve. They continue as the legal men, until Steve is able to get a quick pin to eliminate him. Ricky and Ryan can't hold back their anger and brawl on the outside, getting them both eliminated by countout. Dan and Eddie are able to eliminate Jack with some great double teaming. Steve is then able to catch Eddie off guard and pin him after a DeColt Stampede. Dan is left alone and mounts a comeback against the DeColts, but it isn't enough, as Alex is able to pin him after the DeColt Driver to get the win for his brothers. Winners: the DeColts Rating: C- Both teams filter out from the back and continue the fight all around the arena. The show goes off the air as the brawl continues. Rating: C+ Attendance: 2,000 Rating: C TV Rating: 1.76 “George, I don't know why, but the show didn't come off well. What did I do wrong?” “Sometimes, things just don't work. You had an off night. You'll correct it Sunday.”

This time on getting to know the roster, we're having a tag team special. We'll take a look at the two biggest tag teams in CGC, Youth Energy and the Specialists. Youth Energy – Made up of Lee Rivera and Shane Nelson. Lee is a great high flying cruiserweight, while Shane is a regular wrestler with an emphasis in flying. In a nutshell, Lee is who the fans come to see, while Shane makes sure they go home satisfied. They love to go out and wow the crowd, which led them to tag team gold in July 2006. They continue to put on good matches, unless they have to go up against the Soldiers of Fortune. The Specialists – Made up of Bobby Thomas and Nate Johnson. They are former four time Tag Team Champions. Both men can do whatever is asked of them, as they can wrestle any style. They don't like being tagged under a gimmick, they just go out and wrestle. Roger Rogers, since coming into power, has been pushing them hard toward the Tag Titles, but they haven't been able to win them back as of yet. -- Sunday, Week 1, March 2007. CGC Title Bout Wrestling Live on Maple Leaf Sports King Edward Multiplex British Columbia, Canada Danny starts our show off this week. “Steve, baby, I went through fourteen men to win this shot tonight. You don't think I'm going to capitalize? That belt is gonna be mine Steve-o.” Rating: D Danny B Bling vs. Steve Flash © (CGC Canadian Title) A great looking match on paper, these two start the match out very typically, getting the fans in by working them. However, they quickly go downhill, not clicking well together for the rest of the match. Steve is able to hit the Flash Bang and retain. Winner and still Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: D+ We go backstage to Alex DeColt. He is in the office of Roger Rogers. “Rogers, you know what I want.” “No Alex, I don't, what do you want?” “At Wrestle Wars, I want a match against Eddie Chandler.” “Fine, you have it.” “Thanks.” Rating: C We cut over to the back, where the Soldiers of Fortune are in the process of laying out Trademarked. Tommy and Kash try to fight back, but are overpowered. Rating: E- We move over to Awesome Inc. “Joey, I'm glad you decided to join me in beating the hell out of these two monkeys tonight.” “No problem man. I got nothing but love for people who want to beaut up some tools.” “Varsity Club, it's gonna be game over for you.” Rating: E+ Varsity Club vs. Awesome Inc. Both teams come out hard and fast. But they both burn out quick, allowing Zack to hit the Zackinoku Driver on Nathan Black for the win. Winners: Awesome Inc. Rating: D+ Dan DaLay comes down to the ring with Brains McGhee. “So who's it going to be? Who is going to take on my champion tonight? Alex DeColt? Nope, beat him. Jack DeColt? Nope, he's already in a match tonight. Steve DeColt? He's still licking his wounds from last time? Ricky? Don't make me laugh. Someone come out here so Dan can humiliate you.” Rating: B- Out from the back comes a new face. He's a heavyweight wrestler with a smirk. “I don't suppose you know who I am.” Dan and Brains shake their heads. “Damn... thought not. Let me introduce myself. I am “Bulldozer” Brandon Smith, and I am here in CGC to take that title belt. I am here to elevate everyone's game. I am here to make an impact. So I accept your challenge.” Rating: C+ Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Dan DaLay © (CGC World Title) Brandon shows off his size and strength quickly, knocking the champ off his feet several times in the opening minutes. Brains is forced to hop up on the apron quickly and distract the challenger. This allows Dan to come up and hit DaLay Down for the pin. Winner and still World Champion: Dan DaLay Rating: C+ After commercial, Youth Energy step into the ring. “I think it's time to change things up. The thrill of beating the Specialists is gone.” “I don't want to face the grumpy old men anymore, either.” “Trademarked are probably out for awhile, thanks to the attack.” “So that leaves us with the Varsity Club or Awesome Inc.” “Well, Awesome Inc. won their match tonight. I think they get the shot.” “It's been decided then. We will face Awesome Inc. at Wrestle Wars.” Rating: D We cut back to Jack DeColt. “John Maverick, it seems like we've danced a hundred times before and tonight's going to be no different. I'm gonna come at you full bore. I'm gonna tie you up, and it'll be the end of your days.” Rating: C+ John Maverick vs. Jack DeColt These two men are certainly no stranger to each other. Their in ring action shows this, as they match each other in skill and prowess. They go back and forth for several minutes, until Eddie Chandler runs down to try and save the day. However, it backfires, as he hits John with a wrench and Jack locks in the End of Days for the win. Winner: Jack DeColt Rating: B- Immediately following the match, Eddie jumps in and attacks Jack. John recovers and joins in on the beating until Alex DeColt bolts out from the back. He slides into the ring for the save, running John and Eddie off. He checks on his brother and begins yelling at the Elite. Rating: C+ Before the show comes to a close, it is announced that on Wrestle Wars, Jack DeColt will face Dan DaLay one on one for the World Title. Thursday, Week 2, March 2007. CGC Wrestle Wars Live on Maple Leaf Sports Stephenville Arena Maritimes, Canada The show begins with Alex DeColt in the ring. “Every week the Elite show that they can't get the job done one on one. They always have to resort to run ins and cheating. It infuriates me to see such blatant cheating go unpunished. That's why I demanded the match tonight against Eddie Chandler and that's why Jack was awarded a match against Dan DaLay.” Eddie Chandler makes his way out of the back. “Shut up, will ya?” Alex looks over to him, clearly unpleased. “You can try and make me shut up later tonight.” “Oh, I will, but we'll never get there if you keep talking and talking and talking...” “Chandler, you should be one to talk. You put me to sleep when you come out here. Talk about a sleeping aid.” Eddie doesn't seem happy with that statement. “You're a real funny guy... But let's see you cracking jokes when I get done beating you tonight.” “Bring it on.” Eddie walks toward the ring and gets on the apron. He looks like he's going to get in, but turns around and walks away at the last second. “I'll see you later tonight, chump.” Alex is fuming as we go to commercial. Rating: B- We come back to see the Varsity Club attacking Awesome Inc. in the back. They use pipes to knock their adversaries out. Rating: E- Zeus Maxmillion comes out to the ring. “It seems that I've been lost in the shuffle. But I'm not the only one. The Canadian Champion has gotten away without having to defend the title lately. A trend I intend to finish tonight. Steve Flash, I challenge you to a match. Right here, right now.” Steve comes out with the belt around his shoulder. “You want a Canadian Title match? I'm in. Let's go.” Rating: D Zeus Maxmillion vs. Steve Flash © (CGC Canadian Title) Steve and Zeus pair up well in the ring. They run a lot of chain to start the match, getting the fans into it. They switch it up with some flying back and forth. Then segue into some brawling to liven up the crowd. They keep the back and forth up until Steve is able to hit the Flash Bang and get the pin. Winner and still Canadian Champion: Steve Flash Rating: C+ We go backstage to see Bulldozer Brandon Smith walking. He bumps into Cameron Vessey. “I'm the big name around here, Smith. I ain't taking a backseat to some football wash up. Don't you know who I am? I'm Cameron Vessey, bred for this business.” Bulldozer stares a hole through him. “You know what you are? A loud mouth. I hate loud mouths...” “Do something about it.” “I will. Later tonight. You'll meet me in the ring. And I'll whoop your ass.” Bulldozer shoves Vessey back and walks past. Rating: E+ The Varsity Club come out to the ring. “You know, Nathan, it looks to me that Awesome Inc. won't be able to challenge for the Tag Titles tonight. A shame, really.” “It sure is. But as they say, the show must go on, and the champions must defend.” “I don't think anyone will mind that we are going to take their place.” The fans boo. “We didn't think so. C'mon “ex”-champs. We want our shot.” Youth Energy come out from the back. Rating: D- Varsity Club vs. Youth Energy © (CGC Tag Team Titles) Youth Energy aren't prepared right away. It shows that they had studied Joey and Zack. Trent is able to take advantage of the unpreparedness of the champs. It takes a bit, but Youth Energy show that they aren't one trick ponies and make their comeback. They take control of the last bit of the match and garner the victory by pin. Winners and still Tag Team Champions: Youth Energy Rating: C- George and Terry take a moment to gather their thoughts. “George, on Title Bout Wrestling, we saw one hell of a debut by Bulldozer Brandon Smith. He caught the champ off guard and looked like he could win the match.” “He sure did. I guess he made the impact that Cameron Vessey wanted to make upon his debut. Jealousy sure can be ugly.” “Don't I know it. I think these two pair up very nicely. This could be quite good.” Rating: D- Cameron Vessey vs. Bulldozer Brandon Smith The two men start the match off with intense brawling, which they keep on throughout the match. Smith shows off his impressive suplexes and hard strikes, while Cameron grounds Smith with efficient holds. Something has to give though, as Vessey hits a DDT and rolls Smith up, using the ropes for leverage. Winner: Cameron Vessey Rating: D We cut back to Eddie Chandler. “Alex DeColt, the talentless one. The one who belongs in the ring about as much as a man with no arms or legs. You really think you can beat me. I'm a wrestler. I belong in the ring. I don't live off my name, I live off my talent. Tonight, I'm going to make your name worth less.” Rating: B- Over to Alex. “You're never going to get rid of me or my brothers. We're here for life. Just give up before you get killed. I get by on my name, but I back it up everywhere I go.” Rating: B- Eddie Chandler vs. Alex DeColt Alex forces Eddie into a brawl, which he is destined to lose. Alex has Eddie reeling, but a quick low blow evens the match back up. Chandler goes on the offensive, taking DeColt to the mat and tying him up. Alex fights out with the fans' support, but John Maverick is there to interfere. Chandler uses the opportunity for a roll up with a handful of tights, but Alex keeps rolling through to get a tight assisted roll up of his own. Winner: Alex DeColt Rating: C John Maverick jumps in the ring, but Alex is ready for him. They face off until Chandler gets to his feet. The Elite Guard back Alex up until he bails and leaves the ring. Rating: C+ We come back from commercial to Jack. “Dan DaLay, tonight I'm getting my shot. You better be on your A-Game, because I plan on winning that belt. I plan on beating you. I plan on holding that title for the fifth time.” Rating: B- Brains and Dan are in the back. “Don't be so confident. We aren't going to lose this belt.” Rating: D+ (Ouch) Jack DeColt vs. Dan DaLay (CGC World Title) The match starts off alright for both men, but then we are treated to the DaLay curse. These two men also don't have any chemistry together. The match is a train wreck that Jack DeColt wins thanks to DaLay getting frustrated and using a chair. Winner by DQ: Jack DeColt Rating: C- Attendance: 871 Rating: C TV Rating: 1.77 “Why can't any of your sons have a good match with DaLay?” “Steve can. I don't think you've tried Ricky yet.” “George, if you weren't my boss, I'd be very upset with you right now.” -- We've entered into working relationships with USPW and DaVE. We're taking advantage of DaVE, bringing in Acid for Danny B Bling. Suckers. And bad news for us, NOTBPW has risen back up to National and they want Roger Rogers. Not good.
