21sec Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I've asked before, and I figured it was time to ask again:D Any chance we can get a schedule editor?
wareagle Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I second that. This would be a huge help in correcting the scheduling issues (particularly in-conference)
jbarnes0995 Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I would think that this would be finally covered for us by now. Give another tool please to make editing of schedules a lot easier please.;)
Ball Bag Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Is scheduling really that bad in this game? I'm about to try the demo but it looks like this issue has been mentioned quite a few times.
wareagle Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Personally I think it is the worst part of the game. If we could get an editor, everything else would be very acceptable and I would continue to play. I guess that will never happen as it seems all focus is on the Pro game now. Personally I wish they would have stuck to the college game a couple of more versions to better some of the flaws. As it appears this is it and nothing more will ever come of it. I could understand if it was the perfect game, but it is not. All in all, it is worth the money, I am just disappointed that it seems to end with version 1 as it is.
Ball Bag Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 So just what is so screwed up with the scheduling? Is it ridiculous non conference games or something more serious like Alabama not playing Auburn or Michigan not playing Ohio State every season?

BBCF is incredible as a first gen simulation and I don't see NEAR the problems with scheduling that you are overdramatizing. Yes, home and homes arent always correct the second year, but it can be worked around. He's never said 'this is it' about BB, but the next thing to do is to make a pro version. Chill out and quit being a drama queen.
Holycow98 Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Can't the schedules be edited by editing the stats.dat file? I was planning on eliminating the independents in my solo league (sound familiar ;) ) which if I'm not mistaken you edit the conference and teams tables to reflect your changes. I was under the impression you could also adjust schedules as well. Am I wrong? Any tips on how to do it?
Cooleyvol Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 You can adjust the auto scheduled out of conference games. You can edit the teams in the way that you speak of too.

st.cronin Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007
So then is there something about scheduling that still can't be fixed manually?
You can't edit conference games. Sometimes, for whatever reason, rivalry games don't get scheduled. And sometimes teams get 5 home games and 3 road games in conference.
21sec Posted July 1, 2007 Author Posted July 1, 2007 I just want to edit the schedule to reflect the real life schedule.
Ball Bag Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Traditional rivalry games-those that should be locked in every year-not being scheduled is a game killer for me.
Arlie Rahn Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Can any of you guys get me some info on the schedule issues. Team name, a printout of their schedule and the year would be great. If you guys can get me a save, that would even be better. Thanks
st.cronin Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Arles, if you check out the most recent season of the fofc-bbcf, Cal-Stanford (a rivalry game) did not get scheduled.
ConStar Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Arlie, I'm playing with Ohio U. this season, and its rival is listed as Marshall, and that game did not get scheduled.
st.cronin Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Also, Arizona played 5 conference home games, and 3 road games: http://www.fofc-bbcf.com/league/reports/index.htm That seems to happen every year in the Pac 10 and the Big 10.
