dvdWarrior Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Help! I seem to have hit a stumbling block in the road of creativity here. Over the past few days, I've come up with what I think is solid new promotion for a CornellVerse game, and I just can't seem to come up with a name for the company for the life of me. The promotion is set in the Mid South region of the US, (Denver, to be precise). Its product is similar to Japan's GCG, (with Realism and Traditional set to Key Feature, with Pure set to Heavy). I've also added a little bit of Modern to the mix for an 'All Action' type division. The Match Ratio is set to 90%. Seems to match up to my booking style fairly well. I originally came up with the name Rocky Mountain Wrestling Association, (for some reason, I have a thing for promotions with four-letter abbreviations these days), but I'm still not completely sure, still on the lookout for other possibilities. Just looking for a name that suits the promotion well, and also fits in with the rest of the names of promotions in The CornellVerse. Any suggestions? Also, on a completely unrelated matter, I've also found myself in need of some good names for tag teams and stables for BHOTWG, that blasted creativity block again. Any suggestions for either of these would be tremendously appreciated. Muchos Gracias. :o
Payne Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 DOSW Denver Old School Wrestling. That'sthe best I can do. But it's 6:30 in the morning.
Wildcat Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 When runing a promotion out of Denver I also use Rocky Mountain Wrestling, for something new and not to be BLANTANTLY obvious or anything but what about Mile High Pro Wrestling :)?
shipshirt Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I like both Mile High Pro Wrestling and Rocky Mountain Wrestling Assoc. Is this going to just be a regional or small promotion? If so you could focus on Denver. Denver Pure Wrestling Federation Colorado Combat Wrestling Association Colorado Championship Wrestling Association.
jagilki Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Denver is mid south region? I have a fed set up about the same way.. I call it 100pERCENT wRESTLING (100% for short)
shipshirt Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007
Denver is mid south region?
That's what I was thinking too lol
dvdWarrior Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 Darn, a lot of good names on that list. I appreciate all of them, and I can't believe Mile High Pro Wrestling didn't cross my mind. It's a high-end regional promotion that might, (hopefully), be able to reach an agreement with GCG at some point, the story being that they might want an alliance with us to help rebuild their reputation, and we'd want an alliance with them to build our reputation in the first place. Both of the CCWA's are good possibilities, as RMWA still is. Many thanks for the replies, all. Edit: According to the locations file from TEW 2004, Colorado was a Mid South region. I've just been assuming that was still the case in the more recent TEWs, especially since the Colorado Springs Bar was set up in the Mid South region in '05 and '07. :)
jagilki Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Well, by TEW standards it could well be. I know earlier there was a map posted somewhere on these boards. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19245 yeah, map shows it. It's just hard to think of Denver as Mid South.
