My TCW game and my TCW dilemna.

The new year has just begun in my game, 2008 is about to get underway and TCW is the top promotion in the USA with SWF having fallen to cult for a second time. My TCW promotion has child companies in Mexico, USA, Canada and England (MPWF, MAW, 4C and ROF) and I am at war with 21CW, CGC, SWF, DAVE, NYCW, OLLIE and SOTBPW. That being said, here is a very brief idea of what went down, started off Jan 07, main storyline was Tommy Cornell - the champ, carrying over his feud with RDJ into Jan...culminated at February's War to Settle The Score PPV, TC won the feud, retained the title. Mandatory challenger was BLZ Bubb who had enormous momentum and was really over. TC dropped the strap to BLZ Bubb propelling Bubb to mega star status...eventually Bubb's popularity would rival Sam Strong. Anyway, so...bearing in mind this was the anchor storyline of TCW.... Jan 07 - TC/RDJ feuding for belt, Malice in Wonderland TC wins a three way dance to reain title (beats RDJ and Rick Law in PPV ME) February - TC/RDJ feud climaxes as The War to Settle the Score, TC retains the belt in a stunning PPV ME. BLZ Bubb secures the number 1 contenders spot with a win over Liberty. March - TC can not meet BLZ Bubbs challenge and stop BLZ Bubbs momentum. BLZ Bubb takes the belt at the Just Another Day? PPV but as per precontractual agreements, TC is entitled to a rematch at the next PPV. April - TC can't come up with any answers and the monster BLZ Bubb takes out TC in the rematch at the Where Angels Fear to Tread PPV. BLZ Bubb is arguably the hottest commodity in wrestling (at this point his popularity is rivalled by few, Christian Faith, Runaway Train, Bruce the Giant and Sam Strong among the only wrestlers as or more popular) May - The biggest PPV of them all, Total Mayhem comes around and the hype machine was in massive effect for the title showdown between BLZ Bubb and Liberty. It was a red white and blue affair as Liberty came in on a high horse but left the Total Mayhem PPV on a stretcher. Liberty was MIA for quite awhile after this unsuccessful title challenge and BLZ Bubb's popularity reached new heights being rivalled by only Runaway Train and Sam Strong. Also of note, Black Hat Bailey, SWF veteran, makes his TCW in ring debut at Total Mayhem, beating Rick Law in a TCW International Title tournament final. (Ghenghis Rahn beat Rocky Golden for the belt in a surprising upset on Total Wrestling but retired right after, vacating the belt and making it go up for grabs in a tourney at the PPV) Ricky Dale Johnson prevails over Wolf Hawkins for the number 1 contendership. June - The feud between RDJ and BLZ gets pretty intense with RDJ taking out BLZ Bubbs disciples. It really looks like RDJ is gonna take it to BLZ Bubb but BLZ Bubb, whose momentum was at a steady A - A*, beats RDJ in an exciting PPV ME at TCW Excessive Force. Unlike Liberty, RDJ gets a rematch due to the presigned contract. July - The Supreme Regime invasions begin when Brett Briggz shows up at Total Wrestling and beats down Harry Allen and Steve Flash. The invasion would pick up some massive heat in July as Briggz, Shady K, Knuckles and Pecs invade TCW and attack top guys like RDJ, TC and Wolf Hawkins. Also of note, the fearsome, most controversial man in the industry, Ultimate (Jim) Force debuts after two months worth of hype videos. He destroys Charlie Thatcher in under 5 minutes in his TCW debut. The PPV stage is set for one of the big TCW shows, Summer Showdown. The Supreme Regime invaders go down in flames to Tommy Cornell, Wolf Hawkins and Troy Tornado but the fire spreads instantly when after the match, Nemesis and The Guru emerge and collectively kick the crap out of everybody. After this scene unfolds, RDJ come up short to BLZ Bubb in the ME. BLZ Bubb is now the top active wrestler (but not quite as popular as Sam Strong) August - Hotter Than Hell is the feature attraction here. By this time, the Supreme Regime has gained some significant momentum but they are still barred from wrestling on TCW shows. Rick Law has since stripped Black Hat Bailey of the International title. Painful Procedure continues a remarkable run as TCW Tag Champs and BLZ Bubb gets Hotter than Hell off after making many successful title defenses. The Supreme Regime, lead by Nemesis and The Guru promise to unveil the answer to their problems at Hotter Than Hell and they do when Nemesis makes his return to the ring, tagging alongside Kurt Laramee and in the PPV ME they defeat Ricky Dale Johnson, Wolf Hawkins and Tommy Cornell when out of nowhere, Liberty comes to the ring and assaults Wolf Hawkins. After the match, Liberty coins himself as 'Anarchy.' He is the solution to the Regimes problems because he is the only Regime member to be sanctioned and signed to TCW so now he can fight for them. September - BLZ Bubb is king still but the focus is on Anarchy and Tommy Cornell who have been in a bitter feud. The main event of Destructive Energy has some pretty intense stipulations. If Anarchy wins, The Supreme Regime all become sanctioned TCW fighters. If TC wins, Anarchy is gone from TCW and the Supreme Regime banned for life. Despite efforts from RDJ and Wolf Hawkins, Anarchy and the Regime have too many men (Shady K, Knuckles, Rich Money, Kurt Laramee, The Guru, Jessie, Brett Briggz, Lead Belly) and TC goes down. It's a dark day for TCW. October - By now the TCW Cruiserweight title has been reinstated and Andre Jones, Supreme Regime member, has been holding onto it. The former Fumihiro Ota has returned as "Black Ninja" and has been on a tear as All Action Champ. Painful Procedure continue to dominate the tag scene and the former Lobster Warrrior (now known as Lobster Man) has been kicking tail as TCW Hardcore champ. Rick Law stuns many by aligning with the Supreme Regime. There was much speculation for months that he'd been a traitor, because Regime members continually interfered in his bouts. He vehemently denies any alliance to the Regime but shockingly turns on tag partner Troy Tornado in a critical tag match that headlined a showing of Total Wrestling. The ME of TCWs October PPV Threatening Behavior sees the Troy Tornado/Rick Law feud taken to another level in a bloody cage match for the International Title. Although Tornado won via DQ in the PPV ME and thereby didnt get the belt, he definitely won that battle. TC and Wolf Hawkins beat Rich Money and Kurt Laramee also. TCW buys out that Japanese hardcore fed, WEXV? November - Gargantuan has been on a tear in TCW. So has Marat Khoklov. BOOM (the former American Buffalo) went from unbeatable monster to a man who cant buy a win. Angry Gilmore has been appearing randomly at shows, not making his alliance known. BLZ Bubb is the most popular name in the business and TC continues to wage war with the regime. The regime secure themselves a tag title shot after Flex and Pecs win a four way tag match beating the Lone Stars (Texas Pete/Pistol Pete Hall) The Machines, Tag Team Specialists and The Nation of Filth. In the PPV Main Event of the weakest PPV we'd done until that point, Flex and Pecs take the tag straps off of Painful Procedure but it is significant bcause it signifies the return of PAINFUL PROCEDURE - THE BAND! Flex and Pecs win via interference from the Lords of War (Warlord Agony/Warlord Pain) as they beat down PP, Ronnie V. Pain (who left the company back in March) returns and tries his darndest but isn't enough to help his old pals. Floyd Goldworthy (who had been fired by American Buffalo because Buffalos performance dipped so bad) tried to help out but got his butt handed to him by The Guru. Troy Tornado then comes out to save the day and succeeds pretty well, the fans are going bonkers for this return of Painful Procedure but then Rich Money and Kurt Laramee come out and take out Troy... Then the lights go out, the old PP hit starts up and Jack Bruce comes out for the biggest pop of the night. the Regime powders out and Painful Procedure kicks up an old tune. December - The big year end finale at Psycho Circus. The Regime has secured it'self another big title shot and Nemesis goes toe to toe with BLZ Bubb. Chance Fortune, who went 16-0 as All Action Champ then had a dismal 18 match losing streak, shocks everybody at the getgo of the PPV and takes the cruiserbelt from Regime member Andre Jones. Champagne Lover and Black Ninja put on the match of the night and Champagne Lover took the All Action belt from the Ninja. Rick Law has his TCW International Title run shockingly ended by none other than undefeated super monster ULTIMATE (jim) FORCE!!!!! Flex and Pecs take out the Demons of Rage to retain the belts when the Lords of War run in setting of a Demons/Warlords feud. In an all star pre main event elimination match, Tommy Cornell, RDJ, Wolf Hawkins, Jack Bruce and Angrly Gilmore take out the Supreme Regime's squad consisting of Kurt Laramee, Rich Money, Anarchy and Shady K and Knuckles. in the main event, Nemesis shocks the world and wins the TCW World Title, ending BLZ Bubbs huge reign. Now we're in January and heres the problem. I have a good idea of where to go with things but I have a massively saturated roster and I need some help with ideas on what to do with these guys. Also, based on what I tell you guys, who should I cut? I know I can't keep the roster this big especially with a huge amount of guys on developmental deals. I also wanna be mindful of letting guys go into the hands of the promotions TCW is warring with. Heres my roster: Aaron Andrews - young blue chipper, was teaming for awhile with Iceman CA as The Gamemasters managed by Playboy Jake Sawyer. They jobbed for awhile then I cut Iceman. He now just jobs and has Playboy with him. (Andrews, Iceman CA and Charlie Thatcher were in a stable managed by Sawyer but Iceman and Thatcher have been cut so its now just Aaron and Playboy) Anarchy - Former Liberty and one of the most over guys in the verse. He is a Supreme Regime member almost like co-leader or second in command. Andre Jones - Supreme Regime member, managed by The Guru. Had a good run as TCW Cruiserweight champ. Angry Gilmore - Has no alliance really. Has been more leniant towards TCW but has no real side. Based on his skills Ive gotta keep him in the big picture some how. Archie Judge - One of a handful of road agents. Art Reed - Underutilized by DAVE. Came in and had alot of high rated matches. Got a good push as All Action Champ, ended Chance Fortunes 16-0 streak and had a streak of his own as All Action Champ. His reign was ended by Black Ninja (Fumihiro Ota) Now he is kinda floating around, jobbing a bit too. Big Cat Brandon - Just signed hasnt even debuted yet. Seeing as TCW is warring with DAVE I thought I'd grab one of their guns. He has B overness everywhere...but I'm not sure what to do with him as I have a bunch of monster like guys. I am thinking of teaming him with fellow DAVE castoffs, maybe Art Reed or Joey Minnesota. Billy Jack Shearer- Dominated the tag ranks with Randall Hopkirk for much of 07. Lost the titles to Flex and Pecs but then reunited with Floyd Goldworthy, Ronnie V. Pain, Jack Bruce and Troy Tornado to put back together Painful Procedure. Black Hat Bailey - Came in full steam in a racy new racist gimmick. Managed by Brains McGhee he is apart of the Irish Rebel Alliance with Bull O'Doyle (Land Mass) and Fightin' Tommy McMurphy (Little Bill Lebowski) he came in with tons of momentum, winning the International strap at Total Mayhem in a tournament. He defended the belt for awhile then lost it unnoticeably to Rick Law. Has sorta floated around with the IRA guys but has now got new life in a team with recent siging Squeeky McClean. Black Ninja - Returned to TCW with his new name and has been kicking butt. Lost the All Action strap to Champagne Lover at Psycho Circus but has good popularity and puts on good matches...also one of the most decorated title holders in TCW. Blonde Bombshell - Worked SWF for the first half of 07 then jumped to TCW. Originally looked to be joining the Regime but rather is the valet for Nuke (Guide of the New Wave). She basically just escorts Nuke and shoots t-shirts after his victories. She's also got good overness. BLZ Bubb - Lost only one time in 07 and dominated. One of the most over workers in the game right now and lost his belt to Nemesis. Maybe he needs to decimate his disciples Jay and Raul Darkness and find new ones? Go on a lengthy rampage? Have another title shot against Nemesis? Take some time off?? BOOM - Former American Buffalo, was unstoppable half of 07 but at Total Mayhem he lost to Rick Law in he International Title semi-finals and since then has been struggling to win. Fired Floyd Goldworthy and Goldworthy went o to reform Painful Procedure. BOOM looks like a prime candidate to get cut but he has a C- overness which could be good to propell others into the midcard to upper midcard scene. Brains McGhee - Former SWF manager now managing the Irish Rebel Alliance stable of Fightin Tommy McMurphy, Bull O'Doyle, Black Hat Bailey and Squeeky McClean. Brett Briggz - The man to kick off the Supreme Regime movement. He is managed by Jessie but really hasn't done as much as you would think. He's come up short in a bunch of critical fights and is also pretty tardy. Maybe he needs to get cut? Bruce the Giant - Just signed. One of the legends of the C-Verse. Not sure where to go with him but he can't be lost in the shuffle. He hasnt debuted yet but I'm thinking to team him up with Marat Khoklov as Club G (Club Giant) and have them managed by Playboy Jake Sawyer. Maybe that or have him go after the title. Bull O'Doyle - Land Mass. Has D+ or C- overness and has been teaming with Fightin Tommy McMurphy as The Fightin' Irish a comical tag team of fire and flatulance. He jobs frequently. Champagne Lover - Cant find a way to have a bad match and now has the TCW All Action belt. Had a short feud with Ultimate Force losing all three of their matches but somehow found a way to have a C+ and 2 B-'s with that god awful lunatic. Chance Fortune - Looked good in 07 at first. 16-0 then had his belt taken away by Art Reed and went 0-18. Won the Cruiser belt from Andre Jones at Psycho Circus and Chance's Fortunes may be turning around? Crippler Ray Kingman - Road Agent. Demon Anger - Returned in shocking fashion with Demon Spite - and reformed the legendery TCW tag team. Duane Fry - Original Supreme Regime member who works the booth with Jason Azaria and Mitch Naess after the Regime attacked Kyle Rhodes (and then Rhodes was fired.) Enforcer Roberts - Just debuted at the end of December interfering in a match between International Champ Ultimate Force and Brett Briggz. He interfered with Enygma, they jumped the Force man but gave him the win via DQ. A week later he fought in the ME of Total Wrestling, losing in a International Title match to Ultimate Force....seems to just be another name on the Supreme Regime roster. Enygma - One of the SWF's last name stars, feuded over the title in a three way feud in SWF with Skull DeBones and Christian Faith. So far he just interfered in a match and looks to be with the Regime but nothing is for sure. Fightin Tommy McMurphy - AKA little bill lebowski. Fiery little guy dressed up like a Leprechaun and looks funny next to Bull O'Doyle. Managed by Brains McGhee and jobs like a midget in a sumo match. Flex - Current co-holder of the TCW tag belts with Pecs and they re improving regularly with each segment. Floyd Goldworthy - Fired by American Buffalo and recently reformed Painful Procedure. Freddy Huggins - Need a job done then this is our guy. Im hesitant to let him go because he has alot of skill...ended 07 with a record of 11-41 and struggles to have a bad match. Gargantuan - Did not go thru development, have been using him and he is unbeaten after debuting in September... Hes been on a roll. Grunt - Still teaming with Stink. Reliable guy but not spectacular. Hell Monkey - Just signed and has been in Japan until now. Yet to debut. Jack Bruce - extremely over with As and B+'s just returnd to front Painful Procedure....need to find something for this guy. Jason Azaria - third string announcer to Mitch Naess and Duane Fry. Jay Darkness - Match reports say hes stale, maybe I should cut him or break him off from BLZ Bubb? Jessie - In the Supreme Regime but only manages Brett Briggz..maybe they should both go or maybe there is something I can do with her? Joel Bryant - Super reliable guy and still teams with Robert Oxford. They took the belts from the Machines early in 07 but lost them back. They win some and lose some but always look good doing either or. Joey Minnesota - Sick potential but not sure what to do with him. Signed him from DAVE he had a short run as TCW Hardcore champ...maybe throw him in a team with Art Reed or Big Cat Brandon? Knuckles - teaming with Shady K as the B tag team of Supreme Regime, Flex and Pecs backup. Kurt Laramee - Has good stuff...one of the premier Regime members. Lead Belly - The token jobber of the Supreme Regime. Lobster Man - In on the Supreme Regime and has had two TCW Hardcore title reigns. Has alot of skills. Marat Khoklov - Undefeated and seemingly unstoppable. Maybe he should be taken under Playboy Jake Sawyers wing and teamed up with fellow giant Bruce the Giant? Mitch Naess - In the booth after being stolen from DAVE. Nemesis - Returned to the ring and current TCW World champion. I think at The War to Settle the Score he'll go against Tommy Cornell for the world title? Nuke - Once known as Guide. managed by Blonde Bombshell. I push him like a young Sting (buzzcut days.) Pretty over, has alot of good stuff and held the Hardcore belt briefly. Former partner Scout is coming up for contract renegotiations, maybe grab Scout and reform the Wave? Pat Deacon - Road agent stolen from SWF. Pecs - Improves in segments more so than Flex and holds one half of the tag titles. Pistol Pete Hall - Teams with Texas Pete as The Lone Stars and they seem to be a good team. Playboy Jake Sawyer - has good managerial skills. Managed a triad stable briefly of Charlie Thatcher, Aaron Andrews and Iceman CA. Iceman and Thatcher left and now hes with Andrews. Im thinking he needs a change? Rafael Ruiz - Solid and dependable worker...but maybe I have too many guys like this? Randall Hopkirk - apart of the Painful Procedure rebirth and dominated the tag scene for much of 07. Raul Darkness - As dry as Jay. Ray Johnson - A ref who can bump. Ric Young - SWF's famed official jumped ship. Rich Money - key Regime member. Their financial backer. Gotta find something more solid for this guy he has alot of skills and value. Rick Law - made it to the finals of the International tournament at Total Mayhem, ending BOOM/American Buffalos unbeaten streak in the process but losing in the final to Black Hat Bailey. He beat Bailey for the belt eventually and then joined the Supreme Regime, turning his back onTCW. Had a bitter and bloody feud with Troy Tornado that neither man won/lost. He lost the title to Ultimate Force in shocking fashion at Psycho Circus. RDJ - Top TCW star, feuded with Bubb for the belt but came up short. What to do with him? Robert Oxford - As dependable as Joel Bryant. Rocky Golden - Has kinda struggled. Definitely wanna do something with him. Started off 07 as International champ, lost the belt to Ghenghis, didn't get out of the first round of the tourney, feuded with Nuke briefly. Lost the feud now wins some and loses some. Ronnie V. Pain - Jobbed himself out of a job in early 07 only to return late in the year to reform Painful procedure. Ryan Holland - Stolen DAVE ref. Sam Pratt - Former Calamari Kidd operating under no mask and his real name. Decent stuff, not in the Regime. briefly feuded with Lobster man but failed to take the hardcore belt from Lobby. What to do with him? Gimmick him up? Leave him plain? Let him go? Sam Sparrow - TCWs senior ref. Shady K - Supreme Regime henchman. Teams wth Knuckles. Second fiddle tag team to Flex and Pecs. Squeeky McClean - Stolen from SWF. Has had his sideburn sporting keister slapped in a tag team with Black Hat Bailey but his debut wasnt as enthusiastic as it probably shouldve been. Pretty over guy actually. Steve Flash - First guy to hold the TCW Cruiserweight belt since it was brought back. Doesnt win alot but highly respected and very skilled... Stink - Still with Grunt Texas Pete - In his singles career in 07 he seemed always on the verge of a break out big win only to fall short. Has since had a nice team going with Pistol Pete Hall. The Guru - Basically the head spokesman for the Supreme Regime. He manages all the members except for Brett Briggz and is an essential villain. Tommy Cornell - Kicked off the year as champ and feuded with RDJ. Surprisingly lost the belt to BLZ Bubb and couldnt get it back. One of only 3 men to hold the world crown in 07 and although he wants the gold back he has been on a face run since the Supreme Regime came in and has been more concerned with protecting his company than holding the gold. Troy Tornado - Had a heel run going at the start of 07, feuded with Rick Law and Wolf Hawkins (as a heel) but later turned face when TCW started getting raided. Had one of the top feuds in 07 for the International crown with Rick Law and although neither man won or lost the feud it kept Troy in the spotlight. With Painful Procedure back together how do I keep him from falling into Jack Bruces shadow? Ultimate Force - Returned to SWF as Jim Force early 07. After getting cut he joined TCW and had 2 months worth of hype before debuting and crushing Charlie Thatcher. After stringing together 2 months of undefeated fighting the Force came to Psycho Circus and gave the Force to Rick Law and now holds the International Belt. Warlord Agony - Came out of retirement and left USPW to join hetero life partner Warlord Pain as the Lords of War. Yet to have wrestle and also the two have yet to admit being in the Regime (they helped out Flex and Pecs against the Demons o Rage) their targets are probably the Demons to decide one and for all the team of teams. Warlord Pain - See above. Wolf Hawkins - Has a solid and strong spot in TCW. A top face and TCW loyalist. Has had some big time matches and won a few also lost a few. Didnt taste any gold in all of 07 but was a constant threat. 08 may be his year. Wrestling Machines 1 and 2 - The most talented team by far. Had two tag title reigns in 07. First was ended by the Specialists and the second by Painful Procedure. Definite keepers. Okay, so, that is a long and lengthy explanation...but i dint keep a dynasty and I was hoping to get out my stuff some way and at the same time get some advice, tips, pointers, direction etc.....Thanks for checking out this post and hopefully you can help me out.

for roster trimming, I would start with the irish group of Land Mass, bill lebowski and Black Hat Bailey. Bailey is only going to decrease in skill and Land Mass never had any , plus both are on the wrong side of 40. Ruiz I would let go as you already havce tons of guys with great wrestling skills and he is also older. Also would probably let the Warlords go unless they start off good in a tag feud for a "one last run" thing.

I agree with Dragonmack on everything he's said so far. I'll also add Billy Jack Shearer, Randall Hopkirk and Troy Tornado to the list. The first two just aren't talented enough to justify their paychecks and the last is a guy I've never been able to find a good use for in any of my games. If you get Painful Procedure out of the way there shouldn't be as much resistance in trying to find a good use for Jack Bruce. You've got enough tag teams that eliminating Stink and Grunt probably won't hurt you unless you really like having a jobber tag team around. BOOM, Shady K, Knuckles, and Lead Belly also seem like four guys you won't lose too much sleep over cutting. Rocky Golden will take enough of your time to build into a legitimate thread without having to worry about BOOM; the team of Shady K and Knuckles needs to get out of the shadow of Flex and Pecs or out of the promotion; and Lead Belly could make a good addition to the Hardcore division, but could also be dropped without hurting any other storylines. When you've about wrapped up your Supreme Regime angle, it'd probably be a good idea to run some "loser leaves the promotion" matches to get rid of the rest of the dead weight. The roster just seems a little heavy on aging stars and other promotions' talent, and kicking some of those guys to the curb could help with any creative block you have at the moment.

Only one I might disagree with Dragonmack about might be Black Hat Bailey. He may decrease in skill but seems like a natural to put as the veteran in an old guy/young guy team. And then have the young guy dissolve the team by turning when he gets popular and charismatic neough to stand on his own. As for Poser's idea, I don't know I'd get rid of Troy Tornado. That fued with Rick Law is just begging for a reprise and ultimately some resolution. The rest of Painful Procedure is a waste of time though. That stable is one of the things that put me off of TCW in prior versions. BOOM should probably go as you have him in mind for the chopping block already. Shady K and Knuckles are overkill and I like his idea of Lead Belly in the hardcore division. Maybe Lead Belly could ally himself with Troy Tornado somehow. His name has such a blues sound to it he could mix well with the rocker Tornado. As for Rocky Golden, maybe you could have BLZ Bubb try to take over his soul by force. Kinda like when the Undertaker made JBL and Ron Simmons into the Acolytes. I've never been a big fan of the Darkness Brothers and having BLZ Bubb "kill" them for ill service would put his evil nature further over. Also I'd get rid of the Lords of War and the the Demons once their posterity fight was settled. They are both well past their Sell By date and neither is as suitable a veteran job team as the Nation of Filth

thanks for the feedback guys. I greatly appreciate it. I think that those are some good ideas. January 07 I had Nemesis retain over Troy Tornado in the PPV ME and now going into a bigger show in Februaries War to Settle the Score I'll go Nemesis/Cornell. I can foresee a time probably late in 08 or early 09 when I can completely kill off this feud in an appropriately named TCW vs The World PPV and it'll feature a ton of "loser leaves TCW" matches and I'll clean out the garbage there.
