Does having a manager actually do anything? What are the benefits?

they can be immensely helpful in getting workers over with bad entertainment or mic skills, just pick a manager with those skills and you can go far.

Well I like to have my managers make sandwiches for the crew when not on screen. Its a huge moral booster and complete poppy****!

Use them to get tainted finishes to matches to boost up the rating or heat. Works for me.

A good manager can be used to boost angles your worker is in and also can be used to improve match ratings as well.
