  3. Quick Update Apologies to anyone who may have been looking for more updates from my AWA journal. Unfortunately, my computer with that save died, and while I was able to save my mods, exe, and pictures, the AWA save is lost and unrecoverable. Oh, well. This CCA journal is closer to my intent in terms of the stories I want to tell than the AWA journal, so please stick around if you fall into that category.

  5. Recent Developments Recent Events - Bullet Club have made recent attempts to, quoting Gedo, "clean up Bullet Club's reputation." They've created two separate corporations, Bullet Club of Kanto and Bullet Club North, enacting their goals in Japan and Canada respectively. Corporate representative KENTA claims that Bullet Club has renounced all illegal and unscrupulous activity, but rumor has it that Stardom's Oedo-Tai have been in close contact with members of Bullet Club, casting new suspicions that the Club may not be as dead as once thought. - CCA has signed a lifetime contract with honorary Canadian Brock Lesnar. This contract will see Lesnar wrestle a full-time schedule. After several public interactions, the contract seems to be in part architected to unite him with fellow former MMA fighter Tom Lawlor and Lawlor's Team Filthy wrestling gym. - Player Uno and Player Dos of the Super SMASH Bros have declared themself the greatest tag team in the world. They've been campaigning the front office to be considered the top of the tag team division. But this declaration has caught the ears of their peers, namely the Lucha Bros and the Bullet Club Firing Squad's Tama Tanga and Tanga Loa. The Super SMASH Bros hope to push the CCA tag scene further and farther than anyone before.

  8. The Canadian Catch Assosciation Association Canadienne de Catch The Premise Accomplished Canadian amateur wrestler Korey Jarvis has responded to the oft-hyped lack of promotions in Canada in a decisive fashion. The Commonwealth Games gold medalist and back-to-back-to-back Canadian national champion hopes to capitalize on Canada's wealth of hard-hitting generational talent by providing a space for them to truly practice the art and science of technical professional wrestling. Will the other players in Canada like C4 and ECCW join the CCA in this vision or will the sudden influx of competition drive them to compete against one another like never before? The Front Office Korey Jarvis is the CEO and Director of Wrestling Operations. BritWres great Douglas Williams uses his vast knowledge of the wrestling business in his positions as the VP of International Talent Relations and CCA Lead Producer. Madison Eagles, in addition to the natural backstage leadership position afforded by the respect and admiration of her peers, is the VP of Womens Wrestling. KENTA is the Catch Wrestling Ambassador as well as Official Corporate Proxy of Bullet Club of Kanto, GK and Bullet Club North, LLC. SHINE and SHIMMER founder Dave Prazak joins Ultramantis Black on commentary with backstage reporting by Renee Young and Josh Matthews. Supercards and Recurring Matches La Journée dans le Nord is the single largest CCA show of the year. Each year the winner of the Champions Tag League is crowned. Additionally, it's where every feud has its time to shine and every title is defended on the brightest stage of all. It typically takes place in mid November. The Fight for Ontario is the second single largest CCA show of the year. In addition to annually hosting the semifinals and finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Canadian Heritage Cup, it is also where the first qualifiers for the CCA Canadian Tag League take place. The Bret Hart Catch Wrestling Cup is an annual double-elimination tournament for young and inexperienced wrestlers with promising technical skills, taking place over a single night at an annual event named The CCA Catch Wrestling Cup. To qualify, prospective participants must either be under 25 years of age or have competed in less than 25 professional matches. The winner receives 100 thousand Canadian Dollars to donate to a charity or cause of their choice as well as the right to carry and defend the tournament trophy for 365 days. CCA has two recurring tag leagues: the CCA Canadian Tag League and the CCA Tag Champions League, competed annually between The Fight for Ontario and La Journée dans le Nord. The CCA Canadian Tag League is a round-robin league comprised of 6 qualifying teams, one of which is always the current Canadian Tag Champions. The winner of each pool receives an automatic BYE into the second round of the knockout stage, with the second and third place of each pool competing to see who earns the final two spots. The competitors are then randomly sorted into a single-knockout bracket, decided annually at CCA The 6. The winners and runners-up of the Tag League receive automatic entry into that year's CCA Tag Champions League. The CCA Tag Champions League is a double-elimination tag team tournament between the current Canadian Tag Champions, the winners and runners-up of the CCA Canadian Tag League, and the previous CCA Tag Champions League winners. The winners of the Champions Tag League receive a blank contract for a Canadian Tag Championship match at any event in the next 365 days, as well as automatic entry into next year's CCA Tag Champions League.

  10. RESULTS: AWA All-Star Wrestling - October 29, 2020 Live from the Black Hart of St. Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota Live attendance: 400 (Sold out!) Pre-show: Rosemary def. Queen Aminata in 6:15 via rollup. Match 1: El Hijo De Canus Lupus def. Boomer Hatfield in 23:03 via pinfall after hitting a low blow as the referee was distracted attending to an injured Molly McCoy at ringside. Segment: Triple H cuts a promo backstage. In response to Renee Young asking how he's preparing for his match in the main event, he said that Cara Noir might fancy himself an arteur of the wrestling world, but tonight he'll show Cara the difference between a legend and a legend in his own mind. Match 2: The Voros Twins def. Private Party in 8:28 after Patrick Voros hit Single Vision (a GTS) on both members of Private Party, allowing Chris Voros to climb the ladder and retrieve the Tag Team Title match contract. Match 3: Ryu Lee def. Max the Impaler in 14:38 via pinfall after hitting a diving Rodilla Ryu (double knees to the face of a seated opponent.) Ryu Lee qualifies for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Segment: In the Helmsleys' shared office, Private Party talk to Triple H, trying to convince him to give them a rematch against the Voros twins. Trying to get rid of them so he can mentally prepare for his upcoming match, Triple H says that the match for the titles has already been made, but that doesn't mean it's set in stone. Match 4: "Speedball" Mike Bailey def. "The Virtuossa" Deonna Purazzo in 21:35 via pinfall after reversing a Fujiwara armbar into an arm triangle powerbomb followed by an Ultima Weapon (a standing shooting star double knee drop.) Mike Bailey qualifies for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Match 5: Caristico def. "Space Jesus" Billie Starkz in 5:42 via pinfall after reversing a Starkz Slam (a vertebreaker) off the top rope into a Frankensteiner. Caristico qualifies for the AWA World Heavyweight Championship tournament. Segment: In the area between the locker room and the entranceway, Caristico and Cara Noir bump into one another. The picture de-saturates to full monochrome. In pantomime, Caristico tries to intimidate Noir, but his efforts are in vain as Noir only shoots a quizzical look his way in response. Noir stares past the eyeholes of his mask into Caristico's, moving his head side to side like a curious dog. Frustrated with staring at the reflection in Noir's mask, Caristico walks away. From the perspective of inside Noir's mask, we watch Caristico walk down the hallway. Match 6: "The Black Swan of Essex" Cara Noir def. Triple H in 26:07 via technical knockout after Triple H was deemed unable to continue while locked in Noir's Black Hole Sleeper submission. Cara Noir qualifies for the AWA World Championship tournament. Segment: After the match, the lights in the arena fade to a solo spotlight on Noir. He meticulously takes his reflective mask from ringside, placing it on Triple H's face as he lies with his back on the canvas.

  14. The American Wrestling Association The Premise In a move that shocked the wrestling world, World Wrestling Entertainment's VP of Global Talent Paul "Triple H" Levesque and his wife, Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon Levesque, sold 100 percent of their WWE stock shares and stepped down from their respective positions in the WWE front office. The buzz about their next move was silenced when they used the sudden influx of cash and distance from WWE to negotiate a deal between themselves, WWE, and the Gagne family to buy all physical and intellectual assets related to the American Wrestling Association. Now the AWA prepares to fight for their place in a rapidly-evolving wrestling scene. Will they work with other smaller companies to rebuild the territory system to what it once was or will they try to absorb their competition to their northeast? Only time will tell. The Front Office Triple H and wife Stephanie Helmsley are the CEO and COO of the American Wrestling Association respectively. Recognizing a need for veteran leadership backstage, they brought in WWE Hall of Fame member Jacqueline Moore, naming her as AWA's Lead Producer. Long-time frienemy Kurt Angle was brought in as EVP of Talent Development. Billie Starkz is an AWA Junior Executive Trainee, working directly under Stephanie and Triple H. The broadcast team is filled with veteran talent: Mauro Ranallo and Ultramantis Black are on commentary with backstage reporting by Renee Young and Josh Matthews hosting various AWA.com-exclusive segments. Supercards and Recurring Matches SuperClash is the single largest AWA show of the year. It's where every feud has its time to shine and every title is defended on the brightest stage of all. It typically takes place in mid April. SuperSunday is the second single largest AWA show of the year. It's where many new feuds begin, and typically when the build toward SuperClash truly hits full swing. SuperSunday typically takes place in early November. The Verne Gagne Charity Memorial is an annual single-elimination tournament for young and inexperienced wrestlers on the AWA roster, taking place at an event of the same name. To qualify, prospective participants must either be under 26 years of age or have competed in less than 25 professional matches. The winner receives 100 thousand US Dollars to donate to a charity or cause of their choice as well as the right to carry and defend the tournament trophy for 365 days. Iron Man matches are treated with the importance and reverence that Luchas de Apuestas would in lucha companies. They're used to settle bitter rivalries and determine who's truly the best. These matches are regular features on major cards and as the end of major feuds. NEXT: AWA HALL OF RECORDS
