1. Thanks, I'm going to take a chance and sign Bret

    Next question:

I see a lot more opportunity in cancelling my face/heel divide. It just gives me a lot more guess options and top matches.

Does anyone have any experience in scrapping it in a US company and the effect it will have on pop, etc.?

Anyone have something for me on this?

Also, is there a way, in the editor, to delay the physical decline of wrestlers?

  2.
So, Bret Hart was caught in a scandal and the WWF fired him.

However, he wouldn't even talk to me because I was at cult level.

Now I've risen to National, and he'll negotiate :-)

However, I get a warning saying he's toxic and he might cost me sponsors possibly income.

How much damage can he do to me, does anybody have experience with this situation?

  3. So I'm doing some shows in Japan with my US company. I'm using only my Japanese wrestlers that are more over in Japan than in the US and, as suggested, have adjusted their pushes to their overness in Japan and not the US.

It works pretty good for most, however some wrestlers are receiving pushes that are less than their US pushes would be (rookies just starting out) and they complain...

Is this going to keep working?

Also, I want to do a Japan brand with their own TV-show (A-show), has anyone pulled this off yet?

  4. So I found out that offering a parent company relationship will always be rejected, but a takeover attempt and then turning the other company into a development territory will work.

(maybe a little bug there Adam?)

Anyway, I want to take my US company to Japan for some shows. Now, are my lower midcard Japanese workers (that are super over in Japan) going to be considered just that or are they going to be judged on their pop (being upper midcarders/main eventers)

In other words, will my show bomb or succeed if I use them as main eventers?

  5. So, I'm building popularity in the US and Canada, I have an A-tv show and a B-tv show, both transmitted in US and Canada.

However I want to start building up pop in Europe (incl. UK), and I'm thinking of holding shows there that are not on tv, just to build up pop in the UK without it affecting my pop in the US and Canada.

Using 1 main eventer who's got good pop over there (Roddy Piper), he's in time decline however.

I want to do this until I get a tv contract from a local station there.

Is this a good way to go about it, or is this going cause my wrestlers to be extremely tired and cost me my shows and ppv performances?

  6. My best bet without seeing the match set up and road agent notes you've used for sure.... you probably used clashing road agent notes. Something like a "tainted win" and "DQ finish", which resulted in the game using the first one you set. A tainted win is stuff like foot on the ropes, low blows, distractions and stuff like that where a title can change hands..... a DQ finish falls under "cheap finishes" which are effectively non finishes like DQ, count out and sports entertainment style match thrown out deals.....

Since 99% of the time that's how this has happened when people are confused, I'd put my money on that. :)

That is probably exactly it! I didn't know that would clash (still learning the game, apparently)

I did set tainted win and a DQ finish as road agent notes. I believe the bubble-help (text that explains when hovering over the options) mentions a DQ-finish in the tainted win column not so much in the cheap win column...

  7. You won't be able to start up your B-show until January so that is quite a long time to sit on your unknowns with costly written deals. If you televise events using exclusively your unknowns, you will lose popularity. But you do have options.

    1. Run the events without televising them. They won't gain much pop, but you won't be penalized either.
    2. Set aside one or two segments in your A-show for your B-show storylines. You won't lose pop from a few bad segments each week. If you do this, you might consider extending your A-show by an extra hour for now to accomodate the added talent.
    3. Run your B-show events, but run some main event angles and matches in them as well. Basically, you will try to prop up your event's grades with your stars while your unknowns gain pop.

Thanks for the tips. In the end I televised and rewrote my main events to get the show grades up a bit.

I lost pop in my home region, but my A-tv show compensates that every week and then my ppv-event on top of that.

  8.
I moved up to Cult-level, managed to get a TV-deal in week 2 of September.

I created a B-show, but rules state that I can't get a tv-deal until my A-show has run for 3 full months, I'm now in week 4 of September.

I want a B-show because I've signed workers left and right to written contracts, mostly young talents that don't get to be on my A-show.

Now, a B-show has no influence on my company pop, with mostly unknowns that's quite handy. But I can't get a tv-deal done for it yet.

So, if I schedule weekly events and have them televised, this will influence my company pop right?

Meaning that with unknowns it's going to come in low grades and affect my pop.

Is this a valid option in your opinion, or is there a better option?

(I already wrote 4 weeks of tv for the B-show, btw)

  10. Hi Guys,

I'm playing as WCW in 1995, I'm running into issues with my mediagroup.

I want a broadcasting deal in the UK, but everytime I want to negotiate with Sky1 (channel), Turner Broadcasting is blocking this as Sky1 is going to conflict with TNT UK which broadcasts in the same range.

But TNT UK is not interested in negotiating with me.

How do I fix this? (in my current game)

Is there a way to circumvent the mediagroup's wishes and get a broadcasting deal done?

  11.
Guys,

I've got 2 saved games, one in 1995 mod and one in a real world/present day mod.

Now the present day mod has a lot nicer pictures and everything has been fixed up a lot better, so I've imported the broadcasters section of the RW-mod into the 1995 mod in my saved game through the import data.

However, what happens is that I'll have certain broadcaster doubled, like ABC (from the 1995 mod) and ABC (america) (from the RW-mod. And it's not possible to delete data from a saved game, at least I can't find a way to do it.

Can anybody tell me how to delete data from my saved game, so I can cleanup the database...
