  1. The TNA finances are somewhat intentional. Back then, there were still stories about them not paying some talent and failing to help out with medical bills for talent hurt in the ring. At the same time as they were paying big money to Hogan, Bischoff, etc.

The contracts of the likes of Hogan, Bischoff, Hardy, etc were payed for by Spike rather than TNA, so the wage bill shouldn't be made an issue for them imo.

  2. Brock Lesnar still needs a Starting Absence. He's still under UFC contract and is scheduled for a fight with Alistair Overeem in December 2011. He'd also need some time to recover from the fight. (He returned to WWE the night after Mania, April 2012)

I'd also make Brock more popular, at least higher than Hogan.

FCW should only have popularity in South East and maybe drop that to 20-25. They held shows in front of a very small crowd in Florida with only local TV.

Add a narrative that changes FCW to NXT in June 2012.

Dean Ambrose, Bo Rotunda & Leo Kruger should have higher status in FCW. Bo is a two-time and current champion (and had a third reign eventually), Dean was shot right to the top of the card and Leo Kruger was receiving a push and became the champion after Bo.

Him being out of contract was a work. He wasn't really leaving, and he wasn't unhappy enough to leave at this point. Setting it up so it's difficult to keep Punk takes away the reason the majority want to play this mod ie. to rebook the Summer of Punk and the small revolution that took place following it in their image, not to struggle for a month to appease one talent who never really had any intention of leaving.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> As far as I know, he was burnt out and did intend on leaving to pursue MMA. Of course, we'll never know for sure. The storyline was no doubt based on his real life unhappiness in the company. Then this storyline was agreed to, either before or after he was persuaded to stay.</p><p> </p><p> In terms of making it fun as a game, it wouldn't need to be anything too challenging. It would require some testing, but something like a few solid wins over top talent would be enough. (He beat Rey Mysterio twice and Cena once right before the pipebomb.) Then if the AI decides to book him badly, he leaves, if they don't, he stays.</p><p> </p><p> Of course, if you're taking over WWE as the user, you're probably going to be booking him strong anyway, so the challenge would be met by default.</p><p> </p><p> The challenge could be added to the intro screen to give people a heads up. I think it would be cool.</p>
  4. <p>I'll wait for the next update to go into specifics on stats. As for data:</p><p> </p><p>

Set Brock Lesnar to On Hiatus with a starting absence until April 2012.</p><p> </p><p>

Maybe set Brock and Heyman as a permanent unit? Not sure if this will make it so Heyman follows Brock? Worth a test.</p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk should have a one month contract (Maybe three months since promotions could poach him right away, we need a two month option). Set his morale to low/very low. Make it a challenge to keep him, but possible with the right interactions/booking. Finding this balance with Punk should be a key focus imo, due to the theme of the mod.</p><p> </p><p>

Should Punk be set to heel to start? He's feuding with Cena, so the game would give penalities for that. If so, set his last turn to allow a face turn without backlash.</p><p> </p><p>

Delete Lauren Brooke, she last worked in wrestling in 2009. She's currently set to Left the Business.</p><p> </p><p>

Trish is set to Left the Business, have her as a retired wrestler. She showed up a few times as a personality around that time.</p>

  5. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going to be stepping down from working on this and handing it over to my partner in crime NLG who's been a lifesaver since joining me a few months back and I know he'll smash it going forward. The next update will be a little late because I dropped this on him rather abruptly and he's still got C*4 to add, but he'll give you guys an ETA on it soon.

My enthusiasm for wrestling has pretty much vanished recently and on top of that I haven't played TEW in months so there's not much point in me carrying on with it. A current day mod is damn near impossible for me to carry on with properly unless I've got the passion for it because it really is a crazy amount of work and I don't want to half-ass it. I'm super proud of the work I did on the mod and I'd be lying if I said I didn't get a kick out of the appreciation you guys had for it, it certainly made the endless messing with schedules and attributes worth it.

Some quick thanks, in no particular order:

    - NLG for doing more and more great work while my enthusiasm was dropping and now keeping the mod alive

    - Fleisch & southside_hitmen for passing it on to me in the first place

    - joemurphy and Devil_Cyborg for making endless cuts for every worker I added, even if I did them at the last minute

    - dean for his help with the indie puro scene

    - Genadi for his sound advice and reinforcing my belief that I'd be able to take the mod on in the first place

    - TEW Central & Efanga's Discord for helping me flesh out the indies with worker suggestions I would have forgotten and for being awesome people

    - GDS Discord for putting up with my whining, running watchers and for helping get growth caps and Wrestling Nerd Nirvana fixed

    - Anybody who contributed directly or indirectly in PMs, on Discord or in this thread with fixes, suggestions, opinions, etc

Thanks everybody and enjoy the next update!

    Thanks for your work, mate.

  8. Hi all,

When I load up a new RWC (October 2020) with this pic pack activate, all of the workers pictures aren't assigned. The show logos and all of that are fine, it's the wrestlers themselves that don't have anything assigned and it shows the blank one. I would have to go through and manually assign everyones .gif to them

Anyone know why that would be?

Download the mod from here and the pack will work automatically: https://tewdb.com/img1142.htm

Or the instructions to mass edit workers to .gif are in the first post.

I feel like it's supposed to be easy, but it's just not working. I downloaded the Template from TEWDB, loaded it into Krita, saved the picture as gif, etc.</p><p> </p><p> I tried mass editing the pictures into .gif through the editor (convert to .gif, not set as name.gif) and nothing's working.</p><p> </p><p> Has anyone successfully converted ALL of the Sabin pic pack over to be dynamic?
