  2. Black Canvas Grappling Road to Heritage Press Conference Mr. Maeda: "Good morning ladies and gentleman, welcome to the Road to Heritage press conference. I would like to introduce first the Black Canvas Grappling Challengers Series Champion' Naozane Goto. First question please". Reporter 1: "Good morning Mr. Maeda and Mr. Goto. I have two questions, my first is for the BCG Challengers Series Champion' Naozane Goto and my second is for you Mr. Maeda. Q1. Twenty one days ago you defeated Yoshisada Matsuzawa to become the new BCG Challengers Series champion for the very first time... do you think you will hold this championship for longer than the five months Matsuzawa did? Q2. We have previously seen this championship defended on "Road to" type touring shows, is this likely to continue?". Naozane Goto: "I cannot speak for when and where I will defend this championship, but I can speak on how long I envisage keeping it.... I contemplate holding on to it indefinitely, and I dare anyone to try and take it from me!". Mr. Maeda: "As for when and where this championship will be defended... I can certainly see that Goto is keen for challengers to attempt to take it from him, so maybe we could see this defended more frequently on our touring shows going forward. I would now like to introduce the Black Canvas Grappling World Heavyweight champion' Funakoshi". Funakoshi: (Funakoshi sets his BCG World Heavyweight Championship down on the press conference table) "It's time to find me a challenger worthy of a shot at the most beautiful championship in professional wrestling, Mr. Maeda. I am eager to find out who will show himself in this upcoming tour and become the #1 contender". Reporter 2: "Mr. Maeda, talking of challengers... (gets interrupted by someone bursting through the press conference doors)". Big Bruiser Findlay: "Yeah, talking of challengers Mr. Maeda... I think it's very obvious that the biggest threat to Funakoshi's championship reign is me, Big Bruiser Findlay, and from this day forward American War Machine are the biggest threat to Black Canvas Grappling! (Big Bruiser Findlay lays down a USA flag on the press conference table)". Reporter 3: "Who are "American War Machine"?". Big Bruiser Findlay: "American War Machine are a group of THE most elite American talents in professional wrestling today and we are here to take over BCG. We comprise of myself (Big Bruiser Findlay), Giant Brody, Animal Harker and the best tag team on the planet' The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)". (Giant Brody is standing at the back of the room with his arms folded looking menacing, The American Cobras are standing behind Big Bruiser Findlay and Animal Harker is in the corner of the room behind Goto pointing at the Challengers Series Championship title). Mr. Maeda: "That is a big statement, I hope for your sake that you can back it up in the ring, because you are going to have a lot of enemies gunning for you now, Big Bruiser Findlay!". Funakoshi: "Indeed. You think you can just turn up to a press conference and declare yourself the #1 contender to the most important championship in professional wrestling today!?, I think not. You start at the back of the line like everybody else. Getting a shot at this World Heavyweight Championship is an accomplishment in itself, and you will have to prove your worth inside the ring. If you can prove that on this tour, then you will get your shot, but I am telling you now that there is only one outcome of that, YOU WILL HEAR ME ROAR!!!". Reporter 4: "Mr. Maeda, with Road to Heritage just around the corner, when will the match cards be announced?". Mr. Maeda: "We will be finalising and releasing these cards by the end of this week, as the shows start next week. Any more questions? No, well that concludes the press conference, thank you all for coming".
  3. Black Canvas Grappling Press Conference Yoshifusa Maeda: "Good morning ladies and gentleman, and welcome to our first press conference of 2020. My name is Yoshifusa Maeda and I am the owner of Black Canvas Grappling. To my right is Masayuki Shiga and to my left is the BCG World Heavyweight champion' Funakoshi. Questions please". Reporter 1: "Good morning Mr. Maeda. My first question is... with Mr. Shiga taking over the books here at BCG, what is likely to change if anything at all?". Mr. Maeda: "Good question, Masayuki is from a whole different generation than myself and his predecessor' Mr. Yoshizawa, so I am sure things will change and adapt as time goes by, but it is very important that we continue the traditions we have here at BCG, and for as long as I have blood in my veins that will be the case!". Reporter 2: "Good morning, my question is for you Mr. Maeda. There have been rumours that BHOTWG, PGHW, WLW and 5SSW may be attempting another "Modern Japan Movement" by ditching their touring schedules and bringing back their TV shows. What are your thoughts on this and do you see BCG doing the same in the near future?". Mr. Maeda: "My thoughts? Well, I would like to see them try... because we all know how it ended last time don't we!? Those shows were taken off the air, those companies lost money and we all suffered, the fans included. The truth is that it hurt them and that's why they all reverted back to touring. As to what they will do in the future... that is none of my business, maybe times have changed as you say, maybe they haven't. BCG on the other hand will remain true to our roots, did you not see that our 2020 touring schedule is set to be released this week! Next question please". Reporter 3: "Hello Mr. Maeda, I hope your health is well. After two successful title defences, who will be Funakoshi's next challenger for the BCG World Heavyweight Championship?". Mr. Maeda: "Another good question, for now there is no challenger... we begin the new year with a clean slate, it is up to the future challenger to prove himself in this upcoming tour, only then will a challenger show himself worthy of a chance to take Funakoshi's championship from him". Funakoshi: "I would also like to answer this question, if I may Mr. Maeda? It is a simple answer actually, I fear no man and I welcome every challenge that is put in my path. I will defend the Black Canvas Grappling World Heavyweight Championship with everything I have. YOU WILL HEAR ME ROAR!!!". Reporter 4: "Talking of the 2020 touring schedule, can you break down what this is going to look like and what special events/tournaments we are likely to see this year?". Masayuki Shiga: "I can answer this. In 2020 we will once again host our annual special tournaments, such as "TagMania" in February, "Yoshifusa Maeda Grand Prix" in April and "Sole Survivor" in June. We are also working on something special for our "Time Battle" event in July. Announcements will be made in due time, we can't give away the whole year in our first press conference now, cant we!? Hahaha". Mr. Maeda: "That concludes the press conference, thank you all for coming".
  4. Black Canvas Grappling One man embodied the spirit of Golden Canvas Grappling more than any other - the legendary Yoshifusa Maeda, a former five time GCG World Heavyweight champion who stayed loyal through thick and thin. However, when GCG joined the controversial 'Modern Japan' movement in 2011 it proved too much; considering it an insult to both himself and the company's proud 57-year history, Maeda quit. Joined by his close friend Kazu Yoshizawa, Maeda founded Black Canvas Grappling as the true continuation of the 'roaring lion' tradition. Although GCG has since collapsed (thus fully justifying Maeda's decision), BCG continues to go from strength to strength. Following his retirement in December 2019, Masayuki Shiga was given the position of head booker at BCG, thus allowing 67-year-old legend Kazu Yoshizawa to leave the wrestling business for good. Yoshizawa was talked out of retirement by his friend Maeda back in 2011 to help launch BCG, 8 years later and Yoshizawa can finally enjoy retirement as a true legend of Japanese wrestling. Personal Statement I'm still fairly new to the CornellVerse, having only ever dipped my toes in once, with ZEN: Art of Wrestling; which was an incredible introduction into the C-Verse for me! You can find my diary here. I hadn't written in my dairy for a while due to some life changes; I was made redundant, I moved out of my home, I had surgery, I found a new job, I moved into a new home, I got healthy, I got married and I have been keeping myself busy with my son. I finally found some time to start writing again, and after hours of writing and drafting and redrafting (after losing drafts)… my laptop died, and I made the rookie mistake of not backing up any of my data. My plan is to eventually start a fresh save with ZEN and catch up (as well as I can) to where I left off in my diary, but that's a story for another day. I began this journey practically blind, I knew nothing about Japanese C-Verse in general, let alone about Black Canvas Grappling. I had almost zero knowledge on Japanese workers within the database. I have however read and will continue to read every single bio of every single Japanese company and Japanese worker in the database in order to become as knowledgeable as I possibly can be. I want to give a huge thank you to the creator/creators of any graphics I use in this diary. Unfortunately I don't know who created these amazing graphics as I was sent a large file of all sorts of alternative C-Verse add-ons. Thank you for reading.
  5. So you're telling me there's a chance! I really hope we see a new TEW game, whether it is TEW 2024 or TEW 2026, we just need it.
  6. I've been away for a while, too long to be completely honest, but I will be back very soon and this diary will continue. Please feel free to leave some predictions for ZEN: Way of The Healer!
  7. These are awesome. Thank you. Have either of you done any RAW renders?
  8. Thank you. Do you know if there is a list or file with all TCW workers renders? I am not a fan of the C-Verse renders, prefer Thunderverse ones, but I prefer the C-Verse database I think, want to run with TCW, but the renders are horrible for the most part.
  9. Anyone done a "Tana The Mighty"? His picture is awful looking haha.
  10. How best do you get your Major stars to grow pop, without them beating stars (therefore damaging stars pop)? Best way to get your roster poped out?
