  3. Not to hijack the thread...

But, if anyone would like a version of the data I've been working on for the last 4 hours or so, inbox me.

I've made all the corrections mentioned in the thread.

I inflated some stats to my personal liking.

I have added a WHOLE BUNCHA attributes.

THanks for all the great work Fleisch, you always come through!

  4. Not a fantastic idea. Since there could be name changes which the import won't catch.

Like when you try to import modern shit into a database from a couple years back, you're gonna end up with dupes like having a Neville and a PAC.

I assumed he was importing RWC's newest into an older version. If that is the case, unless they changed some names for some reason, there shouldn't be any dupes.

  5. Thanks for all these, I shall get them added. Yeah, it seems a lot of less established wrestlers slipped through the net.... like an entire generation! I've nearly rectified this (I've about 70 left of the initial 411 to do).

I gave both WWE and WCW a boost. Both are now considered Big - (mid to high 80's in US). I attempted to put them in the 90's but that just threw everything off and to be honest, I did not fancy going through hundreds (maybe more) workers to recalibrate the balance for a fourth time! Both being big I think is good enough for TV ratings, there is room for growth, and wrestlers can still grow with the company without the dreaded "We don't have enough stars" warning. I did give a few of the WWF guys a small pop boost as I seem to have underestimated them (Shamrock, Owen Hart, LOD etc...) I need to find a way to stop ECW from cancelling their relationship with WWF on day 1 too.

What happens if you make WWF and ECW sister companies?

Or, maybe even make ECW a WWF developmental, since they were giving them money and talent around this time. IE Brakkus.

  6. I got a list of some people that I feel like would be good user characters.

Here's a list of people who were celebrities in this time period, that were known fans or involved in way.

    Michael Clarke Duncan

    David Arquette

    Ben Stiller

    Mr. T

    Shaquille O'Neal

    Master P

    James Brown

    Jay Leno

    Dennis Rodman

    Adam Sandler

    Arnold Schwarzenegger

    William Shatner

    Donald Trump

    Macaulay Culkin

    Melissa Joan Hart

    Jon Stewart

    Matthew McConaughey

    Macaulay Culkin

    Billy Corgan

    Jay Mohr

    Andy Richter

    Method Man

    Corey Taylor

    Snoop Dogg

    Seth Green

Here's a list of fans, who are now somewhat celebrities for being fans.

Straw Hat Guy - John Bailey

Faith No More Guy - Lenny Bonfiglio

    Vladimir

    Tye Dye Guy

  7. With popularity, what would you suggest I give them in each country/continent? I thought I'd given them pretty good popularity but willing to listen to any suggested changes. Same if anyone thinks any of the companies need boosting.

At what point would you say wrestling was at it's most popular?

To me, if this is the time period when it was at it's most popular (98-99), and WCW is on top, then WCW should be in the high 80's or low 90's for popularity in the US. Then in a year or so, WWF would be in the mid to high 90's.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I always view it on a scale of 100 is perfection.

If you argue there's no better technical wrestler of all time than say Bret Hart, then at his peak in a date he should be in the high 90's.

No better guy on the microphone than a Paul Heyman, high 90's for microphone.

In this case, one of the most popular wrestling promotions of all time, in a time when wrestling is at it's most popular... WCW should be around 88ish in popularity in the US.

    Just my take.

  8. There's a Hurt Business and a THE Hurt Business.

also, I dont watch WWE on a regular basis, but isn't Samaraja inactive?

I dont know if it should be done YET, but I'm assuming The Nightmare Family is dead now.

NXT is using Full Sail as their home arena.

I feel like adam Cole's pop might be a wee bit low.

-1 & Brandi Rhodes are set to have absences.

  9. Ricky Steamboat is set as active and loyal to WCW.

Seems like a lot of peoples stats are off/low (maybe intentional), particularly in entertainment skills. Things I noticed is like Rey Jr. being 78/82 for fly/flash. Stone Cold 67 in Brawl. Chris Benoit brawl a 50. Maybe these are set low for a challenge? But then some people's are set more like where they should be ie Bret and Malenko's technical.

  10. Well, if you can hang on for a few days... still running the test sims and those look okay so far. Don't think I've buffed anyone to the point of them being overpowered, which is mainly what I wanted to avoid. I don't expect I'll be adding a significant number of future workers. Just a few who are becoming more active on AEW, basically.

Well, if you need a second set of eyes to help test... Holla at ya boy. ;)

  11.

Update on Update: I was hoping to have the next update out in August, partly because I had a month-long trip but I got a bit too ambitious on the tweaks. I just finished them and am running some tests. I will also look to add a few more future workers but I'm hoping to release it fairly soon. I don't imagine I'll be adding more than a handful as you can keep adding "one or two more" forever.

    Funny timing here,

I came on to the board specifically to look if there was any recent updates before I started a new game with the mod. LOL

I guess I should hold off just a bit?

  12. While this is probably accurate, there's probably room to do some research because their WWE Goldust/Stardust was fairly successful and extensive.

Based on recent quotes from Punk, left the business is right. Bad neck apparently.

    Bad neck, bad knees.

Both these two should have the attribute meaning that they can't wrestle. Dustin Rhodes should have the opposite (Age Is Just A Number) if they don't already.

I dont see AJ/April wrestling again... But wouldn't be totally shocked if she was part of the show somehow one day. Managing/Authority/Commentary even.... never know.

  13. I've extracted the data from the database and have started working my way through to effectively make sure that the stats aren't horribly overblown or to correct things which don't quite add up. Almost every worker will see some change in some of their stats. Obviously with a database of this size, it's a mammoth job, but I'm hopeful.

For the sake of ease I've changed every male wrestlers Sex Appeal to 8/100 and as I work my way through if there are any which are specifically considered 'sexy' at this time then I'll change it. I've also worked on nerfing the Japanese and Mexican workers both in terms of ability and popularity because in the old version CMLL, AJPW and NJPW would dominate the global game within a couple of years and have basically all the top 50 workers in the world. I think whoever worked on those areas before was a bit over the top.

Finally I've reduced broad popularity as I don't think it's realistic to have promotions at this time putting on 85+ rated matches up and down the cards. Generally the big star for each promotion has decent popularity in their region and the rest are there to suppliment them.

If there was anything in particular you think needs looking at, or changed I'm happy to do so though. Open to suggestions to anyone whose played the data a lot.

When you get something you're ready to share/test, let me know. Also, if there's anything that you think you might need any help with I'd do what I can. I don't have a whole lot of time on my hands, but I'd love to help out!

Hit me up here, or on facebook, whatever works out for you.
