That Uncle SAM’s one is wonderful. But sadly not quite what I’m going for. Glory Pro Wrestling is also a great suggestion. I’ve just discovered a promotion called NWA Power which is almost exactly the sort of look and feel (probably a bit too polished for my starter fed though. Am I right in thinking there isn’t an NWA equivalent in the Cornellverse? An overseeing group in the 70/80s which tied all the territories together before SWF came along?

I’ve been struggling with inspiration for a diary I’m planning to write, but I think I’ve got the basic idea down. I’ve fiddled with the Cornellverse to make it much tougher for independent companies and I’ve pillaged most of the top in-ring talent and moved them to the big boys. So I’m ready for the challenge. But, I’m struggling with the company I plan to run. I want to make it a proper throwback to the early 1980s: sort of small scale and regional with old school wrestling flavour (very much like NYCW but not them). What I’m struggling with is the exact location and the company name. I think I’d like it to avoid any mention of the region (for potential expansion), but I’m really struggling for a name. Anyone got any ideas. Also Logos would be great too.

EIGHT-MAN TAG MATCH: Borne, St-Pierre, Stallion & Chamberlain vs. The Miracle Collective In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, The Miracle Collective (Davis Wayne Newton, Perfect Parker Pelton, Rafe Sashay and Ray Cavalero) defeated Geoff Borne, Rousset St-Pierre, Wild Red Stallion and Maliek Chamberlain in 10:23 when Rafe Sashay pinned Rousset St-Pierre with a Forward Russian Legsweep. Rating: 35 Best way to get a lot of guys into a match these days. Added bonus of a good opening win for the Miracles. TAG TEAM MATCH: Papa Swoll & Prime Time vs. New School Principals In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Papa Swoll and Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated New School Principals in 7:59 when Papa Swoll pinned The Masked Mauler VII with The Pounce. Rating: 42 The search for a new partner continues for Swoll. SINGLES MATCH: James Diaz vs. Cobra In a decent match, James Diaz defeated Cobra in 9:48 by pinfall with an Asian Thumb Spike. Rating: 47 Is there anyone Diaz doesn’t have chemistry with? Amazing. STOMPER CLASSIC SEMI FINAL: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Dreadnought & Sweet Sal In a decent match, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated Dreadnought and Sal DiMeo in 9:33 when Eagle pinned Sal DiMeo by using underhanded tactics. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew make defence number one of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 53 Big win for Brooklyn Wrecking Crew, the bonafide best tag team in NYCW history at this point. ANGLE: The French-Canadian Phenom Leonce Robert is out. It’s nice that The Black Order are struggling and not paying attention to him. But he could do without zat giant lug Bash Street up in iz greel. Rating: 43 His character is developing very nicely as a slightly arrogant, French-accented hero. NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Bash Street vs. Leonce Robert © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Leonce Robert defeated Bash Street in 7:31 by pinfall with a Top Rope Crossbody. Leonce Robert makes defence number seven of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 36 That, was a dominating performance. STOMPER CLASSIC SEMI FINAL: The Heartbreak Express vs. The Outriders © In a decent match, The Heartbreak Express defeated The Outriders in 7:47 when Johnny Needham pinned Texas Hangman with The Score. The Heartbreak Express win the COTT World Tag Team titles. Rating: 49 Johnny Needham at this point should start calling himself the Upset King. His entire career is now based on overcoming the odds and winning. The Heartbreak Express claim the COTT World Tag Team Titles on route to a final showdown. GANG WARS MATCH: Justin Sensitive, Riley McManus & Marco Gonzalez vs. The Black Order (Black, Smooth and Corner) In a decent match, The Black Order (Aldous Black, Austin Smooth and Charlie Corner) defeated Justin Sensitive, Riley McManus and Marco Gonzalez in 9:46 when Charlie Corner pinned Riley McManus with a Corner Cutter. Rating: 53 Can’t have them lose too much and these faces are all sort of dead in the water already. Especially with our future plans. Sensitive was a good worker for instance, but he came to us pre-made. I wasn’t a fan of putting him over our established stars. ANGLE: The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew come out to the ring ready for the match. They congratulate The Heartbreak Express on making it this far. But the thing about Fairytales is, they’re not real. But in the name of honour and the American Way, they’re putting up their titles, along with the Stomper Classic Trophy so this match is for all the marbles. Rating: 64 STOMPER CLASSIC FINAL: The Heartbreak Express © vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © The crowd are split straight down the middle. As the bell rings and the two teams lock-up and began the showdown. The tag team specialists have had their problems, but they both obviously want to win and are able to drop straight back into their old groove with ease. The more powerful Wrecking Crew use a series of big moves to try and slow down The Heartbreak Express. After a series of nearfalls, The Black Order make their way down to ringside. But almost immediately Logan Wolfsbaine, Papa Swoll, James Diaz, Leonce Robert, Riley McManus, Prime Time Jack Pryde and DREADNOUGHT breeze past them. Together they form a wall protecting the in-ring action from Aldous Black and his cronies. Realising they’re unlikely to overpower the wall, The Black Order just prowl around as the action continues. With one eye on the shenanigans outside the ring, the Wrecking Crew get into their rhythm. Hitting big move after big move on Ralph Liotta. On the apron a visibly frustrated Johnny Needham is yelling orders at Liotta. Just when the Crew look set to deal the finishing blow, Liotta dives out of their clutches for the tag. Needham is a man possessed. But eventually the numbers begin to take their toll. Eagle lifts a dazed Needham onto his shoulders ready for a Doomsday Device, only for Needham to roll through causing Hawkeye to dive across and out the ring. Needham gets to his feet and BAM! Heartbreak’s Kiss right to the face of Eagle. Needham looks at his fallen foe and then turns to Liotta and tags him in. Liotta, shocked accepts the tag and covers Eagle for the 1-2-3 and all the gold. Rating: 54 Brings a tear to your eye doesn’t it? ANGLE: Aldous Black still at ringside said it’s all very sweet, BUT this doesn’t mean anything in the long term. These are but fleeting moments of sweet victory which give losers the misunderstanding that their winning. It’ll be all for nought when Brother Youngman beats your true hero Mr Wolfsbaine this evening. Only through loss will they grow. But will they stand in the way of the inevitable? The wall parts as Logan gets into the ring. The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew take his place along with Ralph Liotta. Johnny Needham walks through the wall with his two title belts and a trophy. He passes Aldous Black and flips him the bird before leaving. Rating: 56 NYCW EMPIRE AND COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Ernest Youngman © vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © For only the second time in NYCW history, the former best friends square off. The first time was about respect and the King of New York Title. This time its about revenge and rage. Throughout the epic showdown The Black Order keep trying to get to the ring, only for the wall of NYCW employees to push them back. There’s something in the air tonight for sure as Logan seems completely confident. Ernest Youngman however looks lost. It seems since joining The Black Order he’s lost the edge which saw him overcome Tennessee William and any other challengers who came along. A battle for the soul of NYCW is happening before the rampant crowd’s eyes. After half an hour of brutal, hard-hitting action, Ernest Youngman is gassed. The Black Order make one last push to get involved but fail. Logan, with the killer look in his eye yells “Through failure, we grow. PREPARE TO GROW!” He hits an almighty belly-to-belly suplex and hooks both legs for the 3-count. Rating: 67 ANGLE: Having disposed of Ernest Youngman and The Black Order, Logan remains in the ring with both titles and surrounded by the wall who protected him. “It has been a long year. A long, long year. I lost my best friend, I’ve seen that douchebag come in here and corrupt and poison everything he touches. But more than that, I’ve defended this,” he holds up the COTT World Title. “And I am, sick of it! I have been flown around the country, night after night to fight on cards I don’t care about, for company’s who don’t care about me. No more!” He prowls up and down the ring and then holds up the Empire Title. “This is the only title in the sport of professional wrestling that I care about. This is the only title that means you are the man and from this moment on, this is the greatest WORLD TITLE in the whole of America.” He throws down the COTT World Title and raises the new NYCW Empire World Title. Rating: 68 OVERALL RATING: 65 So the event was great, although could’ve been better. BUT, the big story was the promo by Logan Wolfsbaine. And everything that it meant. At least for now. I spoke to Larry after the show, who approved of the move. He then brought in the same stranger as before. ANGLE: Logan Wolfsbaine is out, and he’s clutching the COTT World Title tighter than normal. He’s been searching low and high for the perfect partner to help him take on The Black Order and he thinks he’s found him. Ladies and Gentleman, one half of your future Stomper Classic title-holders… Supreme… Justin… Sensitive… Rating: 61 That’s right. For once we took one of their guys. After noticing he was out of a stable, we saw his contract was up. So we paid big money to bring him in. Hopefully he’ll kick the current story into overdrive. STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Wolfsbaine and Sensitive vs. Miracle Violence Connection (Cavalero and Sashay) In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Logan Wolfsbaine and Justin Sensitive defeated Miracle Violence Connection in 15:14 when Justin Sensitive pinned Rafe Sashay with a Grace Landing. Rating: 45 Hello ZERO CHEMISTRY between Wolfsbaine and Sensitive. Fantastic news. Eurgh. ANGLE: Johnny Needham is out and he’s not happy about teaming with Liotta again for this tournament. But, he does like to win and say what you will, but The Heartbreak Express sure knew how to do that. Liotta then comes out to their old music – Power Rush (A Space Love Adventure) Rating: 54 STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: The Heartbreak Express vs. New School Principals In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta defeated New School Principals in 9:31 when Ralph Liotta pinned The Masked Mauler VII with The Score. Rating: 43 Isn’t it lovely to see tag team specialist notes once again. The crowd enjoyed it and even Needham enjoyed himself, before catching himself and walking off. ANGLE: The French-Canadian Phenom Leonce Robert is out. Tonight he again finds himself against ‘ze order noir.’ It’s fine, he’ll happily fight anyone, but they are coming across a bit needy. Rating: 40 Hah, a nice humorous retort to the seriousness of the Order. NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Austin Smooth vs. Leonce Robert © In a decent match, Leonce Robert defeated Austin Smooth in 10:14 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Leonce Robert makes defence number five of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 55 That, is a HELL of a match. Could Robert actually be worth the hype? What a lucky find. STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Papa Swoll and Riley McManus vs. The Miracle Collective (Perfect Parker Pelton and Davis Wayne Newton) In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Papa Swoll and Riley McManus defeated Perfect Parker Pelton and Davis Wayne Newton in 11:47 when Papa Swoll pinned Davis Wayne Newton, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 44 Once again we changed their names. It was a weird name and perhaps they’d change it again once they got their teeth stuck into a feud. STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Generation Wrecked vs. The Black Order (Youngman and Black) In a decent match, Ernest Youngman and Aldous Black defeated James Diaz and Marco Gonzalez in 24:05 when Aldous Black submitted Marco Gonzalez with a Gloomweaver Clutch. Rating: 57 Surprisingly not comment from Aldous Black this time. Instead he let his wrestling do the talking. OVERALL RATING: 56 197k viewers, but we’d actively lost overness in Tri-State. I don’t blame them either. It’s par for the course with tournaments. Then we got a note saying that a ‘Lack of big names’ hurt our attendance. What the Hell did that mean? We can’t help it if we don’t have many stars. We started to gear up for a star-studded show when we realised a huge number of our roster were working elsewhere. FREEDOM were the culprit. EURGH! A show without: Animal Harker, Davis Wayne Newton, Francis Long, Logan Wolfsbaine (!?!?), Marco Gonzlaez, Texas Hangman and Zippy Deverell. SINGLES MATCH: Papa Swoll vs. Ego Merowitz In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Papa Swoll defeated Egon Merowitz in 9:39 by pinfall with The Pounce. Rating: 30 Papa Swoll is a tasty little worker and we were determined to give him a solid push. STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Cobra & Quarry In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated Cobra and Ralph Quarry in 9:55 when Eagle pinned Ralph Quarry with a Brooklyn Bridger. Rating: 45 Nothing is stopping the Crew without a fight. SINGLES MATCH: James Diaz vs. Johnny Needham In a decent match, James Diaz drew with Johnny Needham in 9:53 following a double disqualification. Rating: 53 Sometimes just good to test out chemistry between single workers especially as we have so little available. And by chance, they had GREAT chemistry. STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Borne & Stallion vs. The Black Order In a decent match, The Black Order defeated Geoff Borne and Wild Red Stallion in 9:53 when Charlie Corner pinned Geoff Borne with a Tombstone Piledriver. Rating: 50 Another chemistry note as Borne is great in a team with Stallion. Did we know that? SINGLES MATCH: Ralph Liotta vs. Aldous Black In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Aldous Black defeated Ralph Liotta in 9:46 by submission with a Gloomweaver Clutch. Rating: 44 The Dark Lord continues to dominate all over the shop. ANGLE: Sweet Sal has the mic for the first time in a long time. He and Dreadnought need to remind people just who the dominant force in NYCW are. Rating: 40 STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 1: Prime Time & Robert vs. Dreadnought & Sweet Sal In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought and Sal DiMeo defeated Prime Time Jack Pryde and Leonce Robert in 9:32 when Sal DiMeo pinned Prime Time Jack Pryde with a Powerbomb. Rating: 44 Actually a good win for the heels, just to highlight how far down the pecking order they’ve fallen. Prime Time and Robert could afford the loss. Leonce Robert makes defence number six of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 41 Big signing, immediately jobbed. Enough stars now??? STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 2: Papa Swoll & Riley McManus vs. The Outriders In a decent match, The Outriders defeated Papa Swoll and Riley McManus in 10:02 when Riley McManus was counted out while fighting Zippy Deverell. The Outriders make defence number fifteen of the COTT World Tag Team titles. Rating: 44 The Outriders on an absolute roll right now. ANGLE: The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew are out and the fightback starts now. If The Black Order are such an unstoppable force, why not put the titles on the line? Rating: 67 STOMPER CLASSIC ROUND 2 (NYCW TAG TEAM TITLES): Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. The Black Order © In a decent match, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated The Black Order in 12:23 when Hawkeye pinned Austin Smooth with a Brooklyn Bridger following botched interference by Aldous Black. Rating: 52 Who doesn’t love an underdog story with warring tag team partners? Massive defeat for The Black Order this evening. One which will live on for at least a week. ANGLE: The Dark Lord Aldous Black is ordering his troops to destroy Needham and Liotta. The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew join the fray but are easily overwhelmed. Then, finally Logan Wolfsbaine recovers and enters the ring. He and Ernest Youngman are the final two men. Former best friends beating each other senseless while in the corner of the ring, Aldous Black watches on with a smile on his face. Rating: 51 OVERALL RATING: 53 198k viewers, which is slightly down. In other news more related to us; Tennessee William was making a change to his style, adopting a far more comedic approach. WE KNEW IT! An evil Elvis impersonator style gimmick can only really work on the independent scene, I knew if he signed with another company he’d be turned into a laughing stock. Rating: 62 What am I going to do? Give Fro Sure a win on his way out? Grow up! Goddamit, I was now starting to really feel Larry’s frustration with the big boys constantly attacking our wrestler base. NYCW Titans of Wrestling Friday, Week 1, May 2021 Pennysylvania Park, New York City, New York Attendance: 2,000 (SOLD OUT!) ANGLE: Aldous Black is out with the rest of The Dark Order alongside him. He’s happy to have moved to this metropolis of dank, disgusting gluttony. It’s exactly the sort of place that he likes. No morals, no kindness, no honour. The perfect encapsulation of the human spirit. Take Sinner Ernest for instance. He tried his best to fight the good fight. And he did it for so long too, but eventually everyone succumbs to the darkness. And when they do fall, here I am to scoop them up and help them back to their feet. Now that he’s here he notices that power isn’t everything, it’s the only thing and as he stands here, he notes that his Black Order don’t have all the power. There are two titles which still elude them. And the mission to capture them begins now. Rating: 51 He is VERY good at getting into his character and he’s perfect for this company. Rating: 30 ANGLE: Logan Wolfsbaine is furious. He’s had it with this place and he’s tired of being pushed around. He’s making it his personal mission to destroy The Black Order and Aldous Black and he won’t stop until he wins or they he dies. But tonight his sights on on that great lump Dreadnought. Rating: 66 SINGLES MATCH: Dreadnought vs. Logan Wolfsbaine In a good match, Dreadnought drew with Logan Wolfsbaine in 12:02 following a double count out after both men were attacked by The Black Order. Rating: 57 Immovable object vs unstoppable force. Result; tie. Doesn’t stop the Black Order getting all up in their faces though. Not sure how sensible it is to anger the MONSTER. NYCW TAG TEAM TITLES: Geoff Borne & Riley McManus vs. The Black Order In a decent match, The Black Order defeated Geoff Borne and Riley McManus in 12:05 when Austin Smooth submitted Geoff Borne with a Smooth Hold after interference from Aldous Black. The Black Order make defence number four of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 55 Remember when Riley McManus was a legit challenger for the Empire Title? Neither does anyone else. SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Aldous Black In a decent match, Aldous Black defeated Fro Sure in 10:24 by pinfall with a Batwing. Rating: 51 If you’re leaving, you’re losing. Easy way to build up the mystique of The Dark Lord too. ANGLE: With Fro Sure unconscious, Aldous Black pricks his finger and writes a cross in blood on his forehead before declaring it ‘For Logan the lost lamb.’ Rating: 52 Turns out our fans weren’t quite ready for this level of dark. But it’s done now and people know he’s not messing about. NYCW EMPIRE TITLE MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Ernest Youngman © In a good match, Ernest Youngman defeated Bradley Blaze in 23:50 by pinfall with The Hit. Ernest Youngman makes defence number seven of the NYCW Empire title. Rating: 63 Ernest looks a shell of his former lively self now he’s effectively an acolyte for Aldous. But that doesn’t mean he’s going to be losing anytime soon. OVERALL RATING: 61 193k viewers is nice, Bradley Blaze leaving was not so nice. We forgot he was MAW’s perennial main event presence too, so this would be hurting Sam Keith even more than us. SWF had started hiring it seemed. Along with Fro Sure, they got Multimillonario and extended Mickey Lau. Elsewhere KC Glenn tore his rotator cuff and is out for a year. Oof. TAG TEAM MATCH: Diaz & Prime Time vs. Elite Players In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, James Diaz and Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Elite Players in 9:51 when James Diaz pinned Ray Cavalero after using a foreign object. Rating: 37 A good win for the good guys in an apparent sea of strong heels and a decent way to kickstart the show. SINGLES MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Masked Mauler In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Riley McManus defeated The Masked Mauler VII in 9:59 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 41 Here look, we felt bad too and that’s why we gave him a nice win. ANGLE: Papa Swoll is out alone. He may have lost his tag team partner, but he’s looking for someone new to step in and teach The Outriders a lesson in West Coast manners. But he could be, one day. ANGLE: Logan Wolfsbaine is out and he’s found a couple of tag partners for tonight who share his goal is ripping The Black Order cancer from NYCW. The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew. Rating: 67 GANG WARS MATCH: Logan Wolfsbaine & Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. The Black Order In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Black Order (Aldous Black, Ernest Youngman and Austin Smooth) defeated Logan Wolfsbaine and Brooklyn Wrecking Crew in 24:23 when Aldous Black submitted Hawkeye with a Gloomweaver Clutch. Rating: 61 ANGLE: With Logan handcuffed to the ring by Ernest Youngman, he can only watch in horror as Aldous and Ernest beat the snot out of the Brooklyn Wrecking Crew. Rating: 45 OVERALL RATING: 60 187k viewers. Cliff Anderson was a problem. He’d been angry at us since the AGM and kept trying to loan our workers on the night of our shows. Fortunately most are loyal to New York rather than the Coastal Zone. So hopefully Logan opting to work our weekly show rather than their Welcome to the Coastal Zone should send a message. I’d have to send a message of my own too. But before then I realised we were building towards the second annual Stomper Invitational Classic Tag Team Tournament. Typically I’d just rearranged my tag division to clear away the bloat. But working on the basis that you should always try to go bigger and better each year, I had a think about what we could do this year to top last year. The wrestling world is in mourning at the tragic passing of such an up-standing person. Horrific way to go too. NYCW Gang Wars 2021 Saturday, Week 4, April, 2021 McGaw Arena, New York City, New York Attendance: 5,000 (SOLD OUT!) GANG WARS MATCH: Liotta, St-Pierre & Stallion vs. Merowitz, Quarry and Mauler In a terrible match, Ralph Liotta, Rousset St-Pierre and Wild Red Stallion defeated Egon Merowitz, Ralph Quarry and The Masked Mauler VII in 10:12 when Wild Red Stallion pinned Egon Merowitz with a Lakota Cutter. Rating: 26 Nice easy start to the show with a lot of our deadwood. Sad that Liotta is included in this, but Needham is the hot hand these days. Sadly the crowd weren’t a fan of it and obviously now need hotter opening matches. Noted. GANG WARS MATCH: McManus & The Valedictorians vs. DWN, Sashay and Cavalero In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Davis Wayne Newton, Rafe Sashay and Ray Cavalero defeated Riley McManus and The Valedictorians in 9:37 when Davis Wayne Newton pinned Gracious Geoff Borne with a Fisherman's Suplex. During the match we also had Perfect Parker Pelton turn on Borne. Rating: 38 Oooo, intrigue as Perfect Parker Pelton finally breaks free of tag team purgatory. Good win for the heels. Unfortunately I’ve had too many turns recently and the fans are burnt out on it. Oh dear. ANGLE: After the match DWN, Sashay and Cavalero all shake hands and hug. The forming of a new alliance? Rating: 37 Why not? GANG WARS MATCH: Prime Time & Generation Wrecked vs. Cobra and The Outriders In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde and Generation Wrecked defeated Cobra and The Outriders in 11:39 when Prime Time Jack Pryde pinned Cobra with a PrydeFall. Rating: 42 I think we’re at an end for another tag team here. Gonzalez is injury prone and Diaz has the goods to go solo. Plus it helps free up our tag division a bit. Which is exactly what we want heading towards a tag team tournament? ANGLE: Fro Sure and Papa Swoll are out and they’ve picked the best man to join them. Someone with something to prove. Bradley Blaze. Rating: 62 GANG WARS MATCH: Blaze, For Sure and Papa Swoll vs. Sweet Sal, Dreadnought and Johnny Needham In a decent match, Johnny Needham, Dreadnought and Sal DiMeo defeated Bradley Blaze, Fro Sure and Papa Swoll in 11:38 when Johnny Needham pinned Bradley Blaze with a Heartbreak's Kiss. Rating: 51 Have to send the cowboy out on his back. And time to move on from this East vs. West story too. COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Animal Harker vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a decent match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Animal Harker in 12:17 by submission with a Boston Crab. Logan Wolfsbaine makes defence number eleven of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 57 Logan asserts his dominance once again. ANGLE: Ernest Youngman and The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew are out. They’re ready for this Dark Lord. So get to stepping and get out here. The Black Order appear, but they are alone and it seems the match will start 3 vs. 2. Rating: 71 GANG WARS MATCH: Youngman and the Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. The Dark Order The match has the epic feel of a NYCW Main Event of old. But with the odds stacked, Youngman and the Wrecking Crew take their time tormenting their opponents. The Black Order, to their credit, take their licks like the champs they are. And every time it looks like they’re about to lose, they kick out. Around twenty minutes into the match as Austin Smooth appears on his last legs, the lights in the McGaw Arena darken and odd, gothic music begins to play. A tall figure emerges in the entranceway draped in a long black hooded robe. He makes his way to the ring where the others are waiting. As he slowly enters the ring, Eagle and Hawkeye make a move to rush him but are speared by the Black Order. A brawl erupts between the two teams, leaving Youngman standing face to face with the ‘Dark Lord’ although neither attacks. Finally, after separating, the two teams stand on opposite sides of the ring. The Black Order with the hooded man on one side, Youngman and the Wrecking Crew on the other. Eagle an Hawkeye bounce against the ropes to build momentum for their charge, when Ernest Youngman spins on his heels and clothesline his partners. The Dark Lord removes his hood. Nelson Callum – “It’s the Prince of Persecution. The Satanic Messiah, Aldous Black is in NYCW.” Aldous Black orders Youngman around and he delivers The Hit on both Hawkeye and Eagle. Then crossing Eagle’s arms in prayer, Aldous pins their opponent of the 1-2-3. Rating: 58 ANGLE: Logan rushes out to confront his best friend. Youngman looks at him and then turns to Aldous Black who gives a thumbs down and Youngman proceeds to destroy Wolfsbaine. Rating: 65 Boom! OVERALL RATING: 58 182k viewers see the arrival of the former Aldous Blackfriar, who inserts himself straight into the main event. AND the turn heard around the world as Ernest Youngman joins the Black Order. The Black Order make defence number three of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 46 Easy win for the champs to kick off the show. ANGLE: The Black Order are holding their titles tight. They see the dissention in the ranks. Hawkeye was so angry he’s taking out his frustrations on Youngman tonight. This makes them happy, but more importantly it makes the Dark Lord happy. He’s coming… Rating: 59 NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Sal DiMeo vs. Leonce Robert In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Leonce Robert defeated Sal DiMeo by putting his feet on the ropes in 9:43. Everyone can relax, the men, the myths and the future legends are here. They’ve driven all night to get to New York and now they’re going to introduce themselves to the world. Game on! Rating: 25 These are two of the newcomers and they might just be megastars in the making. So we gave them a win to establish themselves. Their gimmicks were awful and adequate, which would be an issue. TAG TEAM MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. Rafe Sashay & Ray Cavalero In a terrible match, Rafe Sashay and Ray Cavalero defeated The Valedictorians in 9:43 when Perfect Parker Pelton was counted out while fighting Ray Cavalero. Rating: 34 Sad to sacrifice the Valeys, but they are struggling to maintain a storyline and I’m focusing elsewhere for the time being. As for the newcomers, they have ‘Excellent’ chemistry. Oh my. SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Ralph Quarry In a bout that didn't have much heat and embarrassing wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Ralph Quarry in 7:54 by pinfall with a PrydeFall. SINGLES MATCH: Rousset St-Pierre vs. David Wayne Newton In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Rousset St-Pierre in 10:05 by submission with a STF. Rating: 30 Another newcomer enters, but without the fanfare of the earlier tag team. This is good as his gimmick is considered awful. NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE: Cobra vs. Leonce Robert © In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Leonce Robert defeated Cobra in 10:06 by pinfall with a Top Rope Crossbody. Leonce Robert makes defence number one of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 33 When in doubt, Cobra is your man to take the loss. The Phenom continues his incredible run. ANGLE: The Brooklyn Wrecking Crew haven’t forgotten about The Black Order either and they’ll be getting their tag team titles back real soon. Rating: 58 SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Dreadnought In a decent match, Fro Sure drew with Dreadnought in 11:31 when the referee lost control and stopped the match after interference from Sweet Sal and Papa Swoll. Rating: 49 An overblown brawl angle dressed up as a match. ANGLE: Dreadnought is furious about the match and sets about destroying Fro Sure, Papa Swoll and Sweet Sal. No one is safe from his rampage. Rating: 40 Don’t anger the MONSTER! TAG TEAM MATCH: Generation Wrecked vs. New School Principals In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Generation Wrecked defeated New School Principals in 9:52 when James Diaz pinned The Masked Mauler VII with a DAVEs of Thunder Drop. Rating: 41 Needed to get the former champs back in the ring and doing what they do best. Winning. SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Johnny Needham In a decent match, Johnny Needham defeated Bradley Blaze in 12:08 by pinfall with a Heartbreak's Kiss. Rating: 51 A big win for Needham as their feud continues to bubble away nicely. ANGLE: Youngman and Wolfsbaine are out and while The Black Order may have got the better of them once, nobody beats The Steel Circle twice. Rating: 66 NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Steel Circle vs. The Black Order © In a good match, The Black Order defeated Ernest Youngman and Logan Wolfsbaine in 13:53 when Charlie Corner pinned Ernest Youngman by using underhanded tactics. The Black Order make defence number two of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 57 Oh dear, oh dear. Another match, another loss. At this stage The Black Order are fast becoming the hottest act on the roster. OVERALL RATING: 56 169k viewers, down a bit as we lack the star power of Tennessee William. Something of a holding pattern for now, but things would heat up after Gang Wars for sure. Bradley Blaze meanwhile was the one signed to TCW. So we were losing another of our Big 4 workers, which was a crushing shame. We’d get our revenge one day. Elsewhere USPW signed up Edward Cornell too, because sure, why not? ANGLE: Ernest Youngman is out and he know that Tennessee would love nothing more than to leave this glorious company with the Empire Title. But the problem is; he’s the champ, not Tennessee. So if he wants one last title shot he has to run a gauntlet tonight. Three opponents and all he has to do is beat one of them. Rating: 74 Job him out on the way out? You’re damn straight. SINGLES MATCH: Leonce Robert vs. Tennessee William In a decent match, Leonce Robert defeated Tennessee William in 10:05 by pinfall with a Top Rope Crossbody. Rating: 51 When you see a wave forming, ride it. Tennessee was furious at this booking and frankly, I don’t blame him. ANGLE: Bradley Blaze is out with a microphone. In his Texan drawl he talks about Johnny Needham. Where he’s from that kid Johnny would’ve been whupped for his behaviour. But he’s in New York now, so he’ll kick his ass. Johnny better get some friends together, if he has any, and get ready for a Gang Wars match. Rating: 55 Not the best, but progressed the story and got Needham in with the likes of Blaze. SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Ego Merowitz In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Egon Merowitz in 9:44 by pinfall with a PrydeFall. Rating: 28 ANGLE: The Black Order come out for a match, but the Brooklyn Wrecking Crew ambush them from the crowd. The two teams lay into each other and brawl backstage. Rating: 50 SINGLES MATCH: Papa Swoll vs. Tennessee William In a decent match, Papa Swoll defeated Tennessee William in 9:37 by pinfall with The Pounce. Rating: 56 And Tennessee fails at the second hurdle. Big win for Swoll though. ANGLE: The Outriders cut a promo about Generation Wrecked. Apparently, they hear, Gonzalez is healed up, so by their reckoning they’ve got a two week window to have a match before he gets injured again. Whenever the former champs want a shot, they’ll be waiting. Rating: 52 COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Masked Mauler vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a decent match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated The Masked Mauler VII in 10:16 by pinfall with a Belly To Belly Suplex. Logan Wolfsbaine makes defence number one of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 58 Wanted the champ on the card and here he is. SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Tennessee William In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Fro Sure defeated Tennessee William in 21:34 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 61 And there we go, Tennessee fails to beat any opponents, but he does transfer some of his WHITE HOT momentum to those more deserving. ANGLE: But here comes the champ. He feels bad to see such a great man reduced to this. So he’ll be nice and give him his title shot anyway. The broken, sweating and panting form of Tennessee William takes a deep breath, preparing to fight yet again. Rating: 70 Ernest is a little bit of an a-hole isn’t he? ANGLE: The French-Canadian Phenom Leonce Robert charges the ring and batters Tennessee William to a pulp before turning to the crowd and smiling his million dollar smile. Rating: 38 NYCW EMPIRE TITLE MATCH: Tennessee William vs. Ernest Youngman © In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Ernest Youngman defeated Tennessee William in 0:23 by pinfall with The Hit. Ernest Youngman makes defence number four of the NYCW Empire title. Rating: 25 Short and… sour. OVERALL RATING: 36 Well there we go. Our first popularity-losing show. I took heart that the benefits for the job-a-thon would be worth it in the long run. 132k viewers though. Damn the internet, word travels fast, but we’d make it up to them. QPW held their first show. Mimic won the QPW International Title against Grimm Quibble. Logan Wolfsbaine retained his CoTT World Title against Ant-Man. Ryan Powell won the QPW Intercontinental Title against Devyn Reynaud and Americana Jr & Kenny Callaway beat King and Bishop for the QPW Tag Championship titles. Before our next show, James Diaz was taken before Wrestler’s Court and forced to pay for a round a drinks for his untidiness. The funny thing was, it was Ernest Youngman who was the new judge. Larry was obviously too busy thinking about Cornell. NYCW Titans of Wrestling Friday, Week 3, March, 2021 Pennysylvania Park, New York City, New York Attendance: 2,000 (SOLD OUT!) ANGLE: The NYCW Tag Team champions The Black Order come out to Mozart’s Lacrimosa (GRIM Remix). They’ve done all they’ve been asked. They’ve attacked where needed, won where needed and lost when needed. Everything they do is all part of the grand plan of the dark lord. The man who sits in the shadows with a face which lies. The Wrecking Crew were first, but not last. Attack the heart first. Break it. Then go for the soul. Ernest Youngman… Logan Wolfsbaine. You two are the soul of NYCW. Tonight, you have a chance of winning, but secretly you’ll be losing it all. And then… he will rise. Rating: 53 SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. James Diaz In a decent match, Fro Sure drew with James Diaz in 12:26 when the referee lost control and stopped the match after Dreadnought, Papa Swoll, The Outriders and Sweet Sal interfered. Rating: 47 Great opener here and one which advances multiple stories. Fro Sure looks angry about Dreadnought’s assault. ANGLE: Bradley Blaze is ready for Gang Wars. And hopes Needham is too. He suggests a tag team match tonight and he knows just the partner. Rating: 56 TAG TEAM MATCH: Blaze & Liotta vs. Needham & Prime Time In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Johnny Needham and Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Bradley Blaze and Ralph Liotta in 14:30 when Prime Time Jack Pryde pinned Bradley Blaze after using a foreign object. Rating: 44 Prime Time didn’t look to happy about being chosen, but he did what he needed to. Liotta proved something of a weak link. ANGLE: Sweet Sal and Drednought are out. They know those damn West Coasters like they’re unbeatable, but they’ve called the thunder and the MONSTER has arrived. Stay out of our business, or else. Rating: 42 NYCW TRI-STATE TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Leonce Robert vs. Riley McManus vs. Dreadnought © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Leonce Robert defeated Riley McManus and Dreadnought in 11:48 when Leonce Robert pinned Riley McManus after using a foreign object. Leonce Robert wins the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 40 The French-Canadian Phenom continues his remarkable ascent up the ranks and cashes in on some ill-timed interference from the West Coast Crew. Truth is, Dreadnought had outgrown the title and we didn’t want him being pinned just yet. So time to move on. ANGLE: The Outriders notice that Generation Wrecked haven’t responded to them. It’s cool, they know it’s intimidating when confronting bullies like them. They can wait. Rating: 49 TAG TEAM MATCH: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Old School Principals In a decent match, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated New School Principals in 14:27 when Eagle pinned The Masked Mauler VII with a Brooklyn Bridger. Rating: 49 What are The Black Order playing at? After they help the Crew get the W, hey walk away telling them they haven’t forgotten about them. ANGLE: Youngman and Wolfsbaine are out with their respective titles. They seem relaxed. Apparently they're used to young kids trying to make a name off of them. They’ll happily add the NYCW Tag Team titles to their collection and who knows? Maybe they will make them famous after all? Rating: 64 NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Steel Circle (Youngman & Wolfsbaine) vs. The Black Order © In a good match, The Black Order defeated Ernest Youngman and Logan Wolfsbaine in 13:37 when Austin Smooth submitted Logan Wolfsbaine with a Smooth Hold after blatantly cheating. The Black Order make defence number one of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 63 Massive win for the Black Order as they insert themselves into the main event picture with a bang. ANGLE: The Black Order target Wolfsbaine and beat him down until Youngman, looking shocked that they lost, fights them off. Rating: 54 OVERALL RATING: 61 That’s more like it. A story-heavy show leading into April and Gang Wars. 175k viewers too. We’ve won them back. With eyes on the future we checked all the new rookies coming into wrestling and there were some with some truly astounding skills. One of which appeared to be a trouble-maker, but our backstage area was so serene, what was the worst that could happen. Next time on Titans of Wrestling… Go away Big Three…

Somewhere in the Mid Atalantic region… New room, new people, same coffee. This was an unusual CoTT meeting. For one thing Larry and myself had been almost entirely silent throughout, although seeing as we saw these people as competition more and more every day that wasn’t surprising. But oddly, Sam Keith was quiet too. The news about USPW getting Tommy Cornell had obviously left a mark. Cliff Anderson, owner of CZCW was doing most of the talking and I had to admit it was weird sitting across the table from Masked Stranger who spent the whole time starring a hole into my head. “And you!” he said sharply and pointed at me. “What are you playing it with your production costs? You trying to bankrupt the rest of us?” I feigned innocence, “Not at all Mr Anderson, just giving the fans what they want. We can’t expect them to watch us instead of the big three without looking half-way decent.” “Nuts!” he replied. “Don’t think it ain’t obvious what you’re doing. Larry, you gonna sit there mute for the whole meeting?” “What we going to do about Cornell?” he said. The room fell silent. “Nothing to be done,” said Sam Keith and he pulled out an envelope and threw it across the table. “I got this in the post. The post. Like it’s the 1980s again.” I grabbed the letter from inside the envelope. It read: ‘Now I have the Cornell; Ho Ho Ho, A. Packer.’ Sam Keith took a deep breath. “We continue as we are. WrestleWorld is keeping us all in the money and providing we manage our rosters well, we can slowly build up. Stick to the plan, it was good then, it’s good now.” There was a murmur of agreement, although not excitement around the table. “That’s dumb,” said Larry, always the voice of gruff opposition. “But what else can we do? He’s got Chord, Cage, Valentine and now Cornell. He’s got money, distribution and fans.” “So what?” said Sam Keith. “You just going to give up?” “No,” Larry fired back. “But we should. We can’t beat him like this. There’s too many of us and not enough power.” “But Larry,” said Cliff Anderson in a more conciliatory tone. “That’s the whole point of the Confederation isn’t it? We stick together to avoid being crushed by his juggernaut. And we’re all still here aren’t we?” “For now.” Larry was getting dangerously close to making a mistake, so I made excuses for us both and we left. I could feel the eyes on us as we walked out the room. “I should’ve told em sooner. We’re screwed,” he said. “Listen old man, don’t you worry about it. Welcome to New York… Where it rains, pours and drenches us,; anything to bring us down… With Callum on the shelf for 8 months we wanted to look to other big 3 to see us through the year. But that was scuppered when TCW came calling and signed up Tennessee William. DAMN IT AGAIN! At least we made $111k. We released Big Cat. We’d effectively buried him immediately. Had we known what had happened to Callum we might not have done so. The COTT World Title now had a broken champion, so we’d take it upon ourselves to fix that at the next show. Elsewhere Masked Stranger set up his own company; Quebec Pro Wrestling. That’s Masked Stranger formerly of NYCW. Masked Stranger. Good lord. He’s even signed up Marv Earnest as his head booker. With us losing both Tennessee and Callum, we thought it best to look at this as an opportunity. Rather than bringing in a big star, we’d look to elevate. We’d also increase our Live Show Experience to ‘Large’ because we were making money hand over fist and wanted to pushing the opposition. Speaking on new stars. Leonce Robert has moved to New York permanently. After one victory. Come on dude. So needy. And as it happens, he has the insecure personality type. Makes sense. Marco Gonzalez has fully recovered now and our ref Matthew White has also moved to New York. Meanwhile Tommy Cornell’s contract is up and has caused something of a bidding war. We thought about releasing Nelson Callum for the time being, but we like to reward our stars where possible. So he’d relocate to the announce booth with myself and we said goodbye to Honest Frank. Rating: 39 Liotta continues to sink without a trace. ANGLE: Swoll and Fro Sure are out to celebrate their recent victories. The people haven’t heard of him before, but his name is Leonce Robert; the French Canadian Phenom and they better get used to hearing it, cos he’s here to stay. Rating: 39 Woah. COTT WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. The Outriders © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Valedictorians defeated The Outriders in 9:48 when Texas Hangman was counted out after being attacked by James Diaz. Rating: 43 Good win by the new champs as we try desperately to keep everyone at a certain level of heat. SINGLES MATCH: Eagle vs. Charlie Corner In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Eagle in 10:15 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 45 The Black Order now have Brooklyn Wrecking Crew off their game. The crowd notice their unusual behaviour and still no explanation of what happened to them the week befoe. SINGLES MATCH: Hawkeye vs. Austin Smooth In a decent match, Austin Smooth defeated Hawkeye in 9:45 by submission with a Smooth Hold after blatantly cheating. Rating: 48 As above. Logan Wolfsbaine wins the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 70 And thus order is restored and we keep our iron vice grip on the COTT wherever possible. OVERALL RATING: 68 173k viewing figures. We realised something on this show. We were burning through match combinations way too quickly. So going forward he’d limit the in-ring matches, but increase the lengths and anyone not wrestling would get a segment of some kind. NYCW Rush Hour 2021 Saturday, Week 4, February, 2021 McGaw Arena, New York City, New York Attendance: 5,000 (SOLD OUT!) 10-MAN BATTLE ROYAL: In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Leonce Robert won a battle royal in 9:52. The other members of the 'final four' were The Masked Mauler VII, Davis Wayne Newton and Wild Red Stallion, with The Masked Mauler VII being the final elimination. Leonce Robert got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Rating: 38 Everyone else who isn’t in a marquee match, but oh my, how did this French-Canadian get the win? A booking mistake or a well-thought-out plan? SINGLES MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Riley McManus in 10:06 by pinfall with a PrydeFall. Rating: 40 Massive win for Prime Time. But poor old McManus, how far has his star fallen? ANGLE: Sweet Sal is out with the MONSTER Dreadnought. He is bored of the games of the West-Coasters, who we won’t even identify by name. Tonight they teach them the meaning of the old DiMeo phrase “Send em to the morgue, before they send you to the hospital.” Rating: 48 TAG TEAM MATCH: Fro Sure & Papa Swoll vs. Sal DiMeo & Dreadnought In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Fro Sure and Papa Swoll defeated Dreadnought and Sal DiMeo in 10:20 when Fro Sure pinned Sal DiMeo with a Sure Thing. Rating: 46 Another big win for a duo on the rise. We’ll probably look to give them both mini singles pushes. SINGLES MATCH: Ralph Liotta vs. Johnny Needham In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Johnny Needham defeated Ralph Liotta in 9:43 by pinfall with a Heartbreak's Kiss. Rating: 43 The Heartbreak Express explode and the results are… fine. Time to move on for Needham though I reckon. NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Black Order vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © In a decent match, The Black Order defeated Brooklyn Wrecking Crew in 9:39 when Charlie Corner pinned Eagle with a handful of tights. The Black Order win the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 50 Another massive result as The Black Order cash in on the momentum they’ve been building for months. But what does this mean for the future? ANGLE: After the match, The Black Order destroy their opponents when suddenly the lights go out. When they come back on, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew are gone and The Black Order look delighted. Rating: 43 EXHIBITION MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. … BIG CAT BRANDON JAMES In a superb match, Bradley Blaze defeated Brandon James in 10:13 by pinfall with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 61 That’s right, the big star of FREEDOM makes an appearance in NYCW and is roundly destroyed by Bradley Blaze. Take that Puerto Rico! COTT WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Outriders vs. Generation Wrecked © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Outriders defeated Generation Wrecked in 10:19 when Texas Hangman pinned Marco Gonzalez with a Hangman's Noose. The Outriders win the COTT World Tag Team titles. Rating: 41 Another week, another set of titles for The Outriders. This feud needs some more juice and no one likes the chase more than me. ANGLE: Nelson Callum is out and he’s worked very hard to get where he is. And this time, is his time. Logan Wolfsbaine has ruled poorly and the World needs a new Champion. And tonight, they’re going to get one. Rating: 73 COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Nelson Callum vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Nelson Callum defeated Logan Wolfsbaine in 22:19 by submission with a Honey Trap after blatantly cheating. Nelson Callum wins the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 64 And there you have it. Another title change in a slew of them tonight. The landscape of NYCW is changing dramatically, but Callum deserved the big win on the big stage. And as is our way, he tears his meniscus during the finish. DAMN IT! ANGLE: Tennessee William is out and he’s making it clear right here, right now. If he doesn’t win the title this time, he will never again fight for it. No more games, no more talk. Two men enter, one leaves. Rating: 72 A surprisingly fired up and serious promo from the challenger right there. Rating: 42 Easy opening win for our guys. ANGLE: Tennessee William is out and he feels like he’s a broken record. But once again he’s giving Youngman and Wolfsbaine a chance to prove that they’re BFFs again. But if he and his boy Needham can beat them, perhaps he deserves a title shot? Rating: 71 SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Sal DiMeo In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Sal DiMeo in 9:46 by disqualification. Rating: 37 It may have been a cheap win, but my word was it a big win for Prime Time. He was starting to grow on the audience too. Hopefully. Rating: 39 The Black Order turn on their own partners and laugh as they’re left alone and pinned. The utter madness of it all. SINGLES MATCH: Ralph Liotta vs. Davis Wayne Newton In a poor match, Ralph Liotta defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 10:19 by pinfall with a Swinging Neckbreaker. TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Wild Red Stallion vs. Leonce Robert vs. Johnny Needham In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Johnny Needham defeated Wild Red Stallion and Leonce Robert in 8:15 when Johnny Needham pinned Leonce Robert with a Heartbreak's Kiss. Rating: 32 Needham dedicated the match to Ralph Liotta beforehand and introduces him new finishing move; Heartbreak’s Kiss, which is a high-crescent kick. NYCW Titans of Wrestling Friday, Week 1, February, 2021 Pennysylvania Park, New York City, New York Attendance: 1,771 TRIPLE THREAT TAG MATCH: Robert & Stallion vs. Merowitz & Quarry vs. The Black Order In a terrible match, The Black Order defeated Leonce Robert and Wild Red Stallion and Egon Merowitz and Ralph Quarry in 9:57; the order of elimination was Egon Merowitz and Ralph Quarry first, and then Leonce Robert and Wild Red Stallion. Rating: 33 The emo-goths of NYCW continue their victory run to the bewilderment of everyone. SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Cobra In a terrible match, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Cobra in 9:35 by pinfall with a PrydeFall. Rating: 31 Solid win for Prime Time… BAY-BAY! TAG TEAM MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. New School Principals In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Valedictorians defeated New School Principals in 9:32 when Perfect Parker Pelton pinned Animal Harker with a Summa Cum Laude. Rating: 41 We were fast developing another overblown tag team division. Normally having two sets of tag belts would help. What isn’t helpful is multiple shows where one of the tag team champs is working elsewhere. That didn’t feel loyal to me. SINGLES MATCH: Marco Gonzalez vs. Davis Wayne Newton In a poor match, Marco Gonzalez defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 9:52 by submission with a Latino Crab. Rating: 34 Speaking of one half of the tag champs. With little else to do we tested DWN’s metal while keeping Gonzalez strong. The results were fine we’d say. Rating: 47 Finally a tag team match and it ends with a draw. We’re no closer to knowing who is the best. Feels like a rematch might be in order. Rating: 64 In MAW Blaze is THE MAN. In NYCW he’s a solid upper midcarder. ANGLE: Tennessee William has the mic following his win. He wants to extend his condolesences to Ernest Youngman and Logan Wolfsbaine. It’s never nice to see your parents fight, especially when the fight is totally justified. But he’ll happily remove the pressure of the Empire Title if they think’ll help? Rating: 70 Hah. Such a douche. I love him. Just needling his opponents and he misses nothing. NYCW TAG TEAM TITLES: The Outriders vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © In a decent match, The Outriders defeated Brooklyn Wrecking Crew in 12:10 when Texas Hangman pinned Eagle with a Hangman's Noose following interference from Charlie Corner. The Outriders win the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 49 That’s right!!! The Black Order cause the Wrecking Crew to suffer their worst defeat in quite a while. And with that the tag titles change hands again. As the Black Order leave, they call out to the Crew: “If the Order want you to lose, you lose.” ANGLE: Nelson Callum is out. He’s been quiet since Empire State Showdown. Yeah, maybe he’s been licking his wounds. Upset at losing out to Wlfsbaine. But tonight he get’s a chance to right the ship. And that’s exactly what he’s going to do. Rating: 65 Good promo. COTT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: Nelson Callum vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Nelson Callum in 10:15 by disqualification. Logan Wolfsbaine makes defence number ten of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 71 Good lord. I knew they were carrying PSW. But I had no idea of the levels they could reach. My heroes. ANGLE: Ernest Youngman is out after the match. He wants to address Wolfsbaine. He’s sorry for his reaction, but he knows to be the best, you’ve got to want to win. Not every know and then. But all the time. You don’t get to be The Second City Saint by losing. But friendship is important to him and to show it, he’s giving a title shot to one of his best friends… right now. Rating: 69 NYCW EMPIRE TITLE MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Ernest Youngman © In a good match, Ernest Youngman defeated Riley McManus in 24:07 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Ernest Youngman makes defence number two of the NYCW Empire title. Rating: 62 Decent main event, although McManus’ gimmick is getting stale apparently. OVERALL RATING: 61 So Gonzalez would be ‘working hurt’ for a month, but he could still go in the ring, which was a blessing. Viewership continues to go up bit at a time as we build a great online following. It would be good to turn that into ‘fans in the stands’ but that would come in time. TAG TEAM MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. Quarry and Merowitz In a terrible match, The Valedictorians defeated Ralph Quarry and Egon Merowitz in 7:51 when Gracious Geoff Borne pinned Egon Merowitz with a Summa Cum Laude. Rating: 32 More experience for the young rookies and a win for the Valeys. They don’t know what’s happened to the Young Jets. But referring to themselves as The Black Order ain’t fooling no one. They ain’t afraid of eyeliner and leather. Perhaps if the skinny boys got in the gym and put on some muscles they might make a bigger splash. Rating: 48 ANGLE: With the match over and Brooklyn Wrecking Crew not entirely sure what is going on, the ring is suddenly flooded with dozens of people all dressed in black who launch a vicious assault while The Black Order laugh from ringside. Rating: 39 Has it been done before? Probably. Would we do it better? Hopefully. TAG TEAM MATCH: The Outriders vs. Generation Wrecked © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Outriders defeated Generation Wrecked in 12:01 when Zippy Deverell pinned Marco Gonzalez, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 41 Non-title match here, but a massive win for The Outriders who have slowly built up a great reputation for themselves. SINGLES MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Cobra In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Cobra in 10:27 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 44 Yeah, so we don’t really have anything better for McManus yet. But least we could do is build up his cred again. GANG WARS MATCH: Youngman, Wolfsbaine & Blaze vs. Tennessee, Callum and Needham In a good match, Johnny Needham, Nelson Callum and Tennessee William defeated Ernest Youngman, Logan Wolfsbaine and Bradley Blaze in 24:25 when Tennessee William pinned Ernest Youngman with a Devil's Crossroad. Rating: 61 A lucky victory for the heels as miscommunication leads to Ernest getting pinned. Good, solid, wrestling. ANGLE: After the match Youngman is hot. He gets into a shoving match with Wolfsbaine, who he blames for the loss. Blaze steps in and calms them down and they shake hands. Rating: 67 OVERALL RATING: 60 We appear to have lost the ability to give speeches after the show, which is unusual. But there we go. We did get a solid 144k viewers. Although we’d lost some heat after Empire State Showdown, we were building it up nicely. Plus he had the big story of the year to work through; but we could slow burn that. Then we heard that Aaron Andrews had turned heel in TCW. That was a massive story to be sure. Steve Flash meanwhile decided to sign a deal with IPW as their new road agent. And in the MAW Rip Chord Invitational XVI Bradley Blaze beat Trix Triumph in the finals. Good for him. A delicious $45k profit this month and we’d look to improve upon our production once again. He’s living his best life here in New York, but he feels bad. He feels bad for Fat Elvis whose life and soul was this title. And he took it. Ah well, he was a kind and giving champion. Therefore he’s giving Elvis a chance at redemption. He has to pick a tag team partner he’s never had before and he’ll do the same. If Fat Elvis can win the match, he’ll give him another shot at the gold. Rating: 74 FOUR CORNERS MATCH: Cobra vs. Leonce Robert vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Zippy Deverell In a terrible match, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Cobra, Leonce Robert and Zippy Deverell in 10:27 when Prime Time Jack Pryde pinned Leonce Robert with a PrydeFall. Rating: 26 Gonzlaez’s absence left Deverell free so I shoved him in here with Pryde and the rookies to kick off the show. Worked ok. Rating: 33 Easy win for a duo on the rise and a nice Welcome to New York for the rookies. ANGLE: Fro Sure and Papa Swoll stay in the ring. They appear to have irritated what remains of the Family. He tells the mocking crowd that he’s spent all Christmas thinking about his loss and how to get back to his rightful place atop the mountain. His problem, it seems, was that he had a bad back from carrying the Southern Superstars, so they are disbanded, effect immediately. And now all he has to worry about is himself; the most important man in the world. With that being said, he’s cashing in his rematch clause tonight. So Youngman better bring his a-game. Rating: 74 FOURWAY TAG TEAM MATCH: Heartbreak Express vs. The Outriders vs. The Young Jets vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated The Outriders, The Black Army and The Heartbreak Express in 9:46; the order of elimination was The Black Army first, then The Heartbreak Express, and finally The Outriders. SINGLES MATCH: Davis Wayne Newton vs. Wild Red Stallion In a terrible match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Wild Red Stallion in 9:50 by submission with a STF. Rating: 33 Larry’s boy gets a singles match, and obviously loses. Thus taking the crown from Brutus of perennial loser. COTT WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: Fro Sure & Papa Swoll vs. Generation Wrecked © In a poor match, Fro Sure and Papa Swoll defeated Generation Wrecked in 10:03 when James Diaz was disqualified after a botched attack by Sal DiMeo. Rating: 40 Oh dear, Generation Wrecked were not happy about that botched interference. ANGLE: Generation Wrecked get into a shoving match with Sweet Sal, but back off when Dreadnought tried to calm them all down. Rating: 37 Dissention in the ranks. Stories for everyone! NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Dreadnought © In a decent match, Dreadnought defeated Bradley Blaze in 10:05 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb following interference from Johnny Needham. Dreadnought makes defence number one of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 48 Well, well, well, Johnny Needham wasn’t kidding when he said he wanted to make an impact. ANGLE: Sweet Sal is out to talk about Logan Wolfsbaine. Although he wants to address Generation Wrecked. They need to remember exactly whose in charge and uses the name of the Italian-Americans to remind them. As for Logan, tonight he’s going to learn a lesson about NYCW and what it takes to be a champion and keep hold of the gold. Rating: 63 COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Sal DiMeo vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a good match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Sal DiMeo in 10:29 by submission with a Boston Crab after interference from Fro Sure. Logan Wolfsbaine makes defence number eight of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 62 Great match between these two, and one which furthers the story of the DiMeo Family and include Fro Sure and Papa Swoll. ANGLE: After the match Sweet Sal orders The DiMeo Family to take care of Fro Sure and Papa Swoll. Dreadnought does as he’s told and gets in the ring, only to have Generation Wrecked double-back and attack the head of the Family. In the ring even Dreadnought can’t handle the overwhelming odds. Rating: 35 That’s right. It’s a turn-tastrophe here in NYCW. SINGLES MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Nelson Callum In a good match, Nelson Callum defeated Riley McManus in 12:05 by submission with a Honey Trap after blatantly cheating. Next up we’d look to change the gimmicks of Austin Smooth, Wild Red Stallion, Masked Mauler, Ralph Liotta, Parker Pelton, Dreadnought, Johnny Needham and Gracious Geoff Borne. Their current ones were rated poor or worse and it was time to try and get them into a comfortable role in the company at least. Welcome to New York… Where we present the SuperBowl of Wrestling… NYCW Empire City Showdown I Sunday, Week 3, December, 2020 The Kingdom Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 2,850 The stage looks different. The entrance ramp is taller, slanted towards the ring. There’s pyrotechnics and even giant screens to help play videos of highlights of our wrestlers. This was the closest we’d ever got to a ‘Major’ show, but after months of growth we were finally carving out a name for ourselves. The alternative to the bloated nonsense of the big boys, but not a cliché of an independent wrestling company. Backstage the atmosphere was electric, everyone knew what they had to do. This was the culmination of a year’s worth of stories and character development. Some of the old hands were saying their farewells, knowing this was it, while other stars were jittery with nervous excitement. Larry Vessey was giving last minute tips to Wild Red Stallion and Brutus Milano. He saw me as I walked through and gave me the faintest of smiles. In the locker room was Tennessee William. “You ready champ?” “I sure am,” he said and smiled. “The King is always ready.” On the other side was Johnny Needham, dressed in his new gear and dancing while Ralph Liotta did stretches. Next to them were Logan Wolfsbaine and Ernest Youngman talking through moves and ideas. Consummate professionals and masters of their craft. I took a deep breath and clapped to get all their attention. “I’m not one for speeches,” I said. They laughed. “Alright, alright. All I have to say is; go out there and show them who we are.” The locker room roared. On, with the show! The first three matches were our standard formula for raising the heat of the audience. 10-MAN BATTLE ROYAL: In a terrible match, Prime Time Jack Pryde won a battle royal in 9:36. The other members of the 'final four' were Masked Stranger, Andrew Harper and Brutus Milano, with Masked Stranger being the final elimination. Prime Time Jack Pryde got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Rating: 36 Odd to see a battle royal without Dreadnought coming out on top. But a win is a win and something of a dominant one for Prime Time. TAG TEAM MATCH: Fro Sure & Papa Swoll vs. The Young Jets In a poor match, Fro Sure and Papa Swoll defeated The Young Jets in 10:18 when Papa Swoll pinned Austin Smooth with The Pounce. Rating: 37 A good outing for the relative newcomers and I suspect the end for the Jets. Corner hadn’t progressed as we would’ve liked and Austin Smooth was wasted teaming with him. ANGLE: Fro Sure and Papa Swoll take the mic. They’ve been here a little while now and they expected some sort of action, but seeing as that hasn’t happened, they’re going to make it happen. Watch this space; the West Coast is Rising. Rating: 58 Turns out both of these guys were naturals on the mic. TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Animal Harker vs. Sal DiMeo In a decent match, Sal DiMeo defeated Riley McManus and Animal Harker in 8:17 when Sal DiMeo pinned Animal Harker with a Powerbomb. Rating: 47 There was a point where McManus and Harker were wrapped up in the main event. And here they are down the card, losing to Sweet Sal. But the Italian-American old school NYCWer deserved a win on the grandest stage of them all and we had new plans for him in the New Year. Backstage – I spoke to the tag teams in the next match beforehand. It was our first big moment of the night and I wanted to make sure everyone knew what was needed. They all agreed excitedly. I wasn’t sure still, but sometimes you have to follow your gut and hope for the best. COTT WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. The Heartbreak Express vs. Generation Wrecked © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Generation Wrecked defeated The Heartbreak Express and The Valedictorians in 10:15; the order of elimination was The Valedictorians first, and then The Heartbreak Express. During the match Needham kept offering a hand to be tagged, but Liotta insisted on trying to do it all himself. Frustrated, Needham climbed down on the apron leaving Liotta to get pinned. Generation Wrecked make defence number six of the COTT World Tag Team titles. Rating:42 ANGLE: After the match Ralph Liotta and Johnny Needham get into a shoving match that ends with Needham kicking Liotta in the face and leaving him laying, before walking out flipping off the crowd. Rating: 14 Backstage – Needham and Liotta returned. “They didn’t like it,” said Needham disappointedly. “Don’t worry kid,” I replied. “That one is on me. But I will make it right.” NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Dreadnought vs. Bradley Blaze © In a decent match, Dreadnought defeated Bradley Blaze in 7:46 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Dreadnought wins the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 50 In his first proper shot, Dreadnought delviers. He’s still way to green in terms of performance, but with his size, look and lineage we could carefully select opponents for him and see what happens. Bradley was already too good for the Tri-State title and we’d elevate in the coming months and see how high the limit is for the Big Apple Cowboy. NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Outriders vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © In a decent match, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated The Outriders in 12:06 when Hawkeye pinned Zippy Deverell with a Brooklyn Bridger. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew make defence number two of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 47 A close and vicious brawl between two of our best. Very tough to pick a winner here, but when in doubt we’d give it to BWC every time. But this feud was far from over. ANGLE: Dressed in a long, glorious golden robe is Logan Wolfsbaine. We walks to the ring with the gaudy COTT World Heavyweight Title over his shoulder. He addresses the crowd of New York and promises them a show against his toughest opponent. But there’s a reason he’s the Glorious One and Nelson Callum was about to find out why. Rating: 61 COTT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Nelson Callum vs. Logan Wolfsbaine © In a superb match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Nelson Callum in 11:32 by submission with a Boston Crab. Logan Wolfsbaine makes defence number six of the COTT World Heavyweight title. Rating: 64 A clean win. And a big one for Logan. Callum would recover from this easily. ANGLE: Tennessee William is out with Cheryl the guitar and Beryl the Empire Title. He’s hear to sing a song. “Woke up this morning, Feeling great, Looked at my diary, Couldn’t believe the date. New it was the Showdown, Biggest in town, Saw my opponent, What a massive clown! They call him Youngman, The Second City Saint, He thinks he’s good looking, Thinks he makes women feint. But I know the truth see, He’s quite the farce, This man is a nothing, And I’m going to kick his ass now!” Rating: 69 With pyros exploding everywhere, Youngman makes his entrance. Surprise! You’re dead blares out the PA around the arena and the crowd are at fever pitch. He struts out with his familiar circular sunglasses and his long, black leather jacket. The epitome of confidence and cool. NYCW EMPIRE TITLE MATCH: Ernest Youngman vs. Tennessee William © And it all comes down to this. A year from his debut, Youngman has been chasing Tennessee William for the Empire Title. Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost, but he never got his hands on the title. But to get here, to the biggest match at the biggest event in the company’s history he had to go through a brutal tournament, culminating in a hard fought win against Logan Wolfsbaine; his brother in the Steel Circle. Tennessee William for all his bluster and shenanigans, was the best NYCW had to offer and tonight he looked ready. No Southern Superstars at ringside. No Cheryl the Guitar stashed away. Just him and his will to win. The match played out like an epic of independent wrestling. Back of forth, lots of near falls and the drama keeping the crowd engaged throughout. In the end, the story had already been written to a certain extent. Tennessee lined up to deliver a Shake, Rattle and Roll, only to see it reversed. Like a moment locked in time. Youngman grabbed his disorientated opponent and deliverd a Hit for the ages. Covering his fallen oppoenent for the 1-2-3 and his place in history. In a bout that had superb wrestling and great heat, Ernest Youngman defeated Tennessee William in 24:29 by pinfall with The Hit. Ernest Youngman wins the NYCW Empire title. Rating: 68 OVERALL RATING: 66 Backstage, in a broom cupboard I’d converted into an office as was tradition, I sat with Larry enjoying a well deserved beer. “I was going to fire you y’know,” he said. “When we went into debt.” “Yeah I know.” “Gotta say, glad I didn’t. 135k viewers tonight. You’re good at this.” “That’s sweet,” I said honestly. “No it ain’t, you dumbass,” he fired back. “We’re taking the rest of the year off. You ready to do this again next year?” “I’ve got some plans,” I said, and I looked at a dossier of the workers on our roster. On top were photos of Fro Sure, Papa Swoll, Austin Smooth and Prime Time Jack Pryde with question marks. “Good,” he said. “It’s gonna be harder next year. After this, they’re going to be gunning for us.” “The Confederation of Territories?” “All of em, big boys too I expect,” he said gravely. “We’re gonna have to get our hands dirty.” “I’m ready,” I lied. “Good, now go home.” Next time on Titans of Wrestling… New Year Roundup…

Welcome to New York… Where we’re riding high and nothing can stop us now… So The King of New York was in the books and was watched by 116,996 viewers, which was comfortably our best yet. In terms of quality; at 65, this was our highest rated show (previous being the 60-rated Titans of Wrestling directly before). Youngman vs. Wolfsbaine was the best match we’ve ever put on. While Youngman vs. Callum was the second best ever. It was our best attended show and most viewed online. I’d call that a success. Not to mention we made… $76,144 for the month. Woah! OK then. More increases in production then. We’d have: Live Event Experience up to Medium. And broadcasting to industry standard. Woof! Outside of the ring we find out that Austin Smooth has started dating Kammy Ling. Interesting. And CZCW increase their production to match ours. We’re making waves. NYCW Old School Wrestling Sunday, Week 1, November, 2020 Pennysylvania Park, New York City, New York Attendance: 1,965 SINGLES MATCH: Johnny Needham vs. Animal Harker In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Johnny Needham defeated Animal Harker in 9:43 by pinfall with a Moonsault. Rating: 37 That’s right. Building off the success in King of New York, we’re attempting a minor singles push for Needham. Injury gave him the opportunity, now we’d see if he could run with the ball. ANGLE: Logan Wolfsbaine is out to thunderous cheers. He thanks the fans for their support and helping him see the truth. It’s all about friendship, which means he thanks Ernest Youngman too and congratulates him on victory before promising to get that win back. Tennessee William then comes out and he’s angry and demands a rematch. Logan says he’ll fight him if he puts up some gold, because the Glorious One doesn’t get out of bed for anything less than gold. Rating: 72 NYCW TRI-STATE TITLE MATCH: Zippy Deverall vs. Bradley Blaze © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Bradley Blaze defeated Zippy Deverell in 9:57 by pinfall with a handful of tights. During the match we also had Dreadnought run in and attack Blaze. Bradley Blaze makes defence number five of the NYCW Tri-State Regional title. Rating: 42 The champ continues his great run and we tease further problems with Dreadnought at Empire State Showdown. ANGLE: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew are number one contenders and they won’t wait till Empire City Showdown. They want their shot right freaking now! Rating: 54 NYCW TAG TEAM TITLES: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Generation Wrecked © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated Generation Wrecked in 12:12 when Eagle pinned James Diaz with a Brooklyn Bridger. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew win the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 44 We move the titles back to the top team for the big show before both teams go in different directions. Slightly disappointing match as it goes. TAG TEAM MATCH: Youngman and McManus vs. Callum and Dreadnought In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Ernest Youngman and Riley McManus drew with Nelson Callum and Dreadnought in 9:50 following a double disqualification. Rating: 64 Time to move Dreadnought into a more prominent role and he did ok. ANGLE: Tennessee William is out, surrounded by the Southern Superstars and he’ll accept Logan’s challenge, but only for the CoTT World Title because he’s not the king so the Empire Title is too good for him. Rating: 59 COTT WORLD TITLE MATCH: Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Tennessee William © In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Tennessee William in 24:26 by pinfall with a Belly To Belly Suplex following interference from Ernest Youngman. After 22 consecutive defences, The King of Tennessee is finally dethroned as we look to have Logan move around the country defending the title and improving his popularity. He believe in him. It was just a case of finding a feud which we could ignite. Our big problem this year is our roster was too big and we had too many half-assed stories. ANGLE: The Glorious One Logan Wolfsbaine is out with the COTT World Title over his shoulder. He wants to thank Tennessee William for being so stupid as to give him a chance, cos all it takes is a slit in the door and he’ll kick the whole thing down. Rating: 67 TAG TEAM MATCH: Denny King and Masked Stranger vs. The Outriders In a poor match, The Outriders defeated Denny King and Masked Stranger in 10:03 when Texas Hangman pinned Masked Stranger with a Hangman's Noose. Rating: 39 Sometimes you just want a simple match where one team beats another. And this was perfect for exactly that. ANGLE: Sweet Sal is out to congratulate Logan Wolfsbaine on his win and to remind him that he took him to his limit at the event. So he should be the first to get the title shot. Tennessee William makes defence number sixteen of the NYCW Empire title. Rating: 62 It’s good to have people like Tennessee lose occasionally, but without victories his act tends to sink fast. Luckily we had Riley McManus for exactly these sort of occasions. OVERALL RATING: 61 Low key show with a lot of filler before the big one. There was only one show left: Titans. And we’d decided that December would simply be Empire State Showdown and then a rest until the new year. We’d all deserve it. 115,940 viewers and note from Tennessee William who now sees Bradley Blaze as a star in the making. Because news is so thin, let’s rattle through to Titans and the setup to Empire City Showdown I. NYCW Titans of Wrestling 11: All Roads Lead to the Empire Sunday, Week 3, November, 2020 Pennysylvania Park, New York City, New York Attendance: 2,000 (SOLD OUT!) 10-MAN BATTLE ROYAL: In a poor match, Sal DiMeo won a battle royal in 9:37. The other members of the 'final four' were Fro Sure, Riley McManus and Papa Swoll, with Fro Sure being the final elimination. Sal DiMeo got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Rating: 43 SINGLES MATCH: Wild Red Stallion vs. Andrew Harper In a terrible match, Wild Red Stallion defeated Andrew Harper in 8:07 by pinfall with a Lakota Cutter. Rating: 29 That’s right, there could be a mini-push coming for one of Larry’s Stable of Boys ™ or maybe we’d forget by next week. TAG TEAM MATCH: Mauler & Harker vs. The Valedictorians In a poor match, The Valedictorians defeated The Masked Mauler VII and Animal Harker in 10:20 when Perfect Parker Pelton pinned The Masked Mauler VII with a Fisherman's Suplex. Rating: 38 Got to start to inject life into our flailing tag team division. I like the Valedictorians, but they have dropped in importance in the face of the bigger teams. TAG TEAM MATCH: Milano & King vs. The Ouriders In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Outriders defeated Brutus Milano and Denny King in 10:20 when Texas Hangman pinned Denny King with a Hangman's Noose. Rating: 32 As before, sometimes you just need to give the win to the team going in the right direction. TAG TEAM MATCH: The Heartbreak Express vs. Generation Wrecked In a poor match, Generation Wrecked defeated The Heartbreak Express in 9:56 when James Diaz pinned Ralph Liotta with a DAVEs of Thunder Drop. Rating: 38 Solid if unspectacular match from two of teams right here. Poor Johnny Needham all that goodness from the mini-push ebbing away. ANGLE: Youngman, Wolfsbaine and Blaze are looking forward to facing their Showdown opponents in a Gang Wars match tonight. The three then joke among one another, exuding confidence equal to their talent. Rating: 57 NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Young Jets vs. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew © In a poor match, Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated The Young Jets in 9:49 when Eagle pinned Austin Smooth with a Brooklyn Bridger. Brooklyn Wrecking Crew make defence number one of the NYCW Tag Team titles. Rating: 42 What happened to the Jets? How did I fail them so badly. All that lovely chemistry for nought. How could I fix this? Or was it even worth it? ANGLE: Tennessee, Callum and Dreadnought respond to their opponents tonight. At least Tennessee and Callum do. Dreadnought just stares at the camera breathing heavily. Rating: 62 GANG WARS MATCH: Youngman, Wolfsbaine and Blaze vs. Tennessee, Callum and Dreadnought In a good match, Ernest Youngman, Logan Wolfsbaine and Bradley Blaze drew Tennessee William, Nelson Callum and Dreadnought in 24:06 when all men were disqualified for brawling into the crowd. Rating: 59 Yup, it’s the classic we don’t want to hurt anyone match leading into the big show with a mighty brawl. OVERALL RATING: 57 Total viewers for the go-home show was 117,112. I sort of feel like we’ll smash this number for Empire City Showdown. Especially with all the fancy stuff we had planned. We made a cool $34k this month, even with the better production values. Welcome to New York… Where we finally settle the debate of who would beat who in a tournament… NYCW The King of New York 2020 Sunday, Week 4, October, 2020 The Kingdom Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 1,933 15-MAN BATTLE ROYAL: In a terrible match, Papa Swoll won a battle royal in 10:03. The other members of the 'final four' were Andrew Harper, Denny King and Masked Stranger, with Andrew Harper being the final elimination. Denny King got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Rating: 35 When Tennessee speaks, we listen. TAG TEAM NO. 1 CONTENDER MATCH: Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. The Valedictorians vs. The Outriders These three teams have risen above the sheer volume of teams this year in NYCW, so it was only fitting that they’d duke it out for a shot at Generation Wrecked at Empire City Showdown. The action was fast-paced and hard-hitting, but in the end Brooklyn Wrecking Crew finished the job by pinning Gracious Geoff Borne and booking their place at the big event. Rating: 44 KONY QUARTER FINAL: Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Sal DiMeo What a year both men have had. In fact they started it fighting each other over the Tri-State Regional Title and here they were fighting for an even bigger prize. It was back and forth, but Logan Wolfsbaine, a man who has been playing it as straight as possible recently gets the well-deserved win after making Sal submit to his patented Boston Crab. Rating: 51 (good chemistry note) ANGLE: And here comes Tennessee William with the Empire Title, the CoTT World Title and Cheryl his guitar. “What a year it’s been for the King of NYCW. And no, I’m going to embark upon a quest to be officially recognised as such. Now listen here, there’s this young kid called Johnny whose done better than anyone imagined. But he’s against the Champ now. There’s nothing wrong with being nervous young man. I would be if I had to face me. But I’ll give you an option. Lay down, right now, and I’ll pin you and I promise, not to hurt ya.” Johnny Needham rushes the ring and demands the ref ring the bell. Rating: 72 KONY QUARTER FINAL: Johnny Needham vs. Tennessee William The match begins with a lot of showboating from Tennessee William who is not taking his opponent at all seriously. As he goes for an old school collar-and-elbow tie up, which Needham quickly turns into a roll-up for a very close 2 count. From that point on the Empire Champion does not give Needham an inch, but the young buck continues to fight for everything he can get. The crowd, sensing another upset are firmly on the Heartbreaker’s side. Eventually, with his back against the wall, Tennessee distracts the referee, allowing Zippy Deverell to slide in and low blow Needham. William then delivers an easy Shake, Rattle and Roll Neckbreaker for the victory. Rating: 52 KONY QUARTER FINAL: Fro Sure vs. Nelson Callum Unlike the previous match with one side underestimating the other, Nelson Callum is all business. Every time Fro Sure seems to get any kind of advantage, Callum has it scouted and escapes harm. With back and forth action, it is eventually Callum who finds a kink in Fro Sure’s armour and with his feet on the ropes, he’s able to small package his opponent to advance to the semi finals. Rating: 55 KONY QUARTER FINAL: Ernest Youngman vs. Bradley Blaze As a sign of respect the two men shake hands before beginning. It’s amazing how far Blaze has come in his short time in NYCW, but even on his best day he’d struggle against someone of Youngman’s pedigree. Despite plenty of nearfalls, a slightly-more vicious Youngman delivers The Hit for the clean pinfall win against the current NYCW Tri-State Regional Champion. Rating: 58 KONY SEMI FINAL: Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Tennessee William Gone is the showboating of the last match as Tennessee makes his entrance with Animal Harker and The Outriders. His face is one of serious determination. He knows Logan pretty well and knows he’s not to be messed with. Logan Wolfsbaine meanwhile ignores the outside interference and has eyes only for the Empire Champ. The action is fast-paced and a change for Tennessee who is used to running away when he can’t best an opponent. But Logan is too strong. With a misstep, Logan rolls through and applies his patented Boston Crab. Tennessee William is screaming in pain and just before he’s about to tap out, the rest of the Southern Superstars enter the ring. Wolfsbaine is wise to them and systematically destroys them all. With them gone, he turns right into a Stroke, but escapes, reverses and lands a devastating belly-to-belly suplex, hooks the legs as the ref counts 1-2-3 and sends him into the finals. Rating: 60 ANGLE: After the match the Southern Superstars lead by a furious Tennessee William storm the ring and are beating Wolfsbaine down; making his victory look like a loss. When Ernest Youngman storms the ring and chases them off. Logan gets to his feet and looks at Youngman, who simply nods and leaves. Rating: 64 KONY SEMI FINAL: Ernest Youngman vs. Nelson Callum Two of the top stars in NYCW look to book their place in the finals to face Logan Wolfsbaine. These two know each other so well that all the moves are chain-wrestling and reversals. It is a joy to see the level of quality competition in NYCW, a far cry from the beginning of the year. As the match goes on, Callum begins to get the upper hand, using a variety of dastardly tricks to punish Youngman. But in an unusal twist, Youngman begins to retaliate in kind. As the two men are brawling outside the ring, Youngman pulls out a set of handcuffs and with Callum distracted, he slips them on and chains him to the ringpost. Unaware of the skulduggery, the referee counts out Callum to the cheers of the crowd. Youngman winks at Callum and gives him the double-guns as he leaves. Rating: 66 TRI-STATE NO. 1 CONTENDER MATCH: Dreadnought vs. Riley McManus Dreadnought made his displeasure known last week and so Sal lobbied hard for his pet monster to get a chance at some singles gold. And what a match this was for the rookie monster. He threw McManus, a former contender himself, around the ring like a ragdoll before finishing him easily. Rating: 41 KING OF NEW YORK FINALS: Ernest Youngman vs. Logan Wolfsbaine Surprisingly the crowd are split between the two men, which irritates Logan and he flips them off to boos. The match begins and it is a feast for the senses. Every type of wrestling is on display from high-flying, to technical chain-wrestling and everything in between. After nearly 30 minutes of back and forth, with dozens of nearfalls, the two competitors fall into an old-fashioned slugging match. Neither wants to give anything, but the sheer power of Ernest begins to overwhelm Logan. In desperation, the former Tri-State Champion reverses a suplex and lifts Ernest up for the belly-to-belly, only for Youngman to roll through and with Wolfsbaine in a tight small package, the ref counts 1-2-3, giving Youngman the King of New York title and the shot at Tennessee William’s title at Empire State Showdown I. Rating: 67 ANGLE: The match is over and sweating messes of both men stare at one another. Ernest offers his hand to Logan, who looks at and tentatively accepts the handshake before sliding out the ring. As Ernest Youngman celebrates his victory however, Tennessee William and Nelson Callum slide in from the crowd and start delivering a vicious beatdown. They are followed by Generation Wrecked and The DiMeo Family. It’s brutal as they each attempt to hit their finishers on the King of New York. Logan is watching from the entrance and the crowd are chanting “Help him out, Help him out!” Logan looks at his bloodied knuckles and back to the ring. And then starts marching with purpose. Sliding in he begins beating a path to Youngman. With their enemies stunned by his appearance, he manages to get Youngman to his feet. The two men look at one another and nod to the rapturous applause of the crowd and stand back to back as the Southern Superstars and the DiMeo Family charge to attach. They’re able to fight the first attacks off and slip out of the ring and back to the entrance way, where Ernest raises Logan’s hand in the air. Rating: 69 OVERALL RATING: 65 Now that’s a show. NYCW Titans of Wrestling 10: Game of Thrones Sunday, Week 3, October, 2020 Yonkers, New York, New York Attendance: 1,738 TRIPLE THREAT MATCH: Andrew Harper vs. Masked Mauler vs. Wild Red Stallion In a terrible match, Wild Red Stallion defeated Andrew Harper and The Masked Mauler VII in 7:37 when Wild Red Stallion pinned The Masked Mauler VII with a Lakota Cutter. Rating: 31 So we changed some booking around to please Larry. No point always trolling him. NYCW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Valedictorians vs. Generation Wrecked © In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Valedictorians defeated Generation Wrecked in 7:49 when James Diaz was disqualified while fighting Perfect Parker Pelton. Rating: 38 They were all free and we wanted to elevate the Valeys ahead of Empire State Showdown. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Johnny Needham vs. Hawkeye In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Johnny Needham defeated Hawkeye in 7:56 by disqualification. Rating: 42 The upset kid books his palce on the main show. Hawkeye could afford a cheap loss, but the benefits to one half of the Heartbreakers was astronomical. Seriously how far could the kid go? Great match as these two have some great chemistry. Noted. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Papa Swoll vs. Sal DiMeo In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Sal DiMeo defeated Papa Swoll in 8:24 by pinfall with a Powerbomb after Dreadnought interfered. Rating: 37 No upset here. Sweet Sal deservs more love from me and this seemed a great opportunity to give it to him. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Zippy Deverell In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Bradley Blaze defeated Zippy Deverell in 8:14 by pinfall with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 47 A really good match from two of our good, young stars. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Texas Hangman In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Fro Sure defeated Texas Hangman in 7:45 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 42 Not a good show in results for the Outriders, but they’d recover quickly. They always did. Fro Sure continues to impress outside of the West Coast promotions. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Riley McManus vs. Nelson Callum In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Nelson Callum defeated Riley McManus in 8:15 by disqualification. Rating: 60 Boom! Two of our bigger named stars clash in the lead-up to the tournament finals. McManus had had his moment in the spotlight for now. It was time for Callum to rise up. Great match though. KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Masked Stranger In a decent match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Masked Stranger in 8:24 by submission with a Boston Crab. Rating: 51 Stranger’s streak dies at one. Logan has had a fairly easy run in the tournament for now, although that would change drastically at the actual event. No cupcakes here anymore. Except Needham. Or is he? KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Ernest Youngman vs. Dreadnought In a decent match, Ernest Youngman defeated Dreadnought in 7:38 by disqualification after interference from the DiMeo Family. Rating: 56 Youngman had to make the main show, but Dreadnought could not be pinned. We made it work for both of them. I think I’m right in saying that’s Dreadnought’s best match to date. The DiMeo’s costing Dreadnought the chance at a title shot didn’t set well with the giant though. ANGLE: Tennessee William gives a quick promo in a packed show to run down Youngman, McManus and the Wrecking Crew. And tonight he’d show them how good he was. Rating: 69 KONY ROUND TWO MATCH: Tennessee William vs. Eagle In a decent match, Tennessee William defeated Eagle in 9:50 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 63 And that’s how you do it. Tennessee was too good a performer not to have on the final show in matches that matter. Eagle has won plenty this year and even got more main event experience. OVERALL RATING: 60 After one of our best shows, Tennessee William takes us aside to tell us we should strap a rocket to Big Papa Swoll. And our viewing numbers came in. Oh YEAH! 108,312. Suck it. NYCW Old School Wrestling Sunday, Week 1, October, 2020 Yonkers, New York, New York Attendance: 1,488 ANGLE: Tennessee William is out alone for once. He wishes Ernest Youngman all the best because he knows this is his only chance of getting near the gold. But seeing as how he’s got to get through the whole roster to get there, William doesn’t like his chances. Especially as the King… is… here! “Now bring out the first-round chump I’m going to deal with.” Rating: 66 KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Tennessee William vs. Brutus Milano In a decent match, Tennessee William defeated Brutus Milano in 11:48 by pinfall with a Devil's Crossroad. Rating: 51 Poor Brutus. He got the pop for being a familiar foe of Tennessee, but the champ made pretty short work of the former main event star. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Ralph Liotta vs. Zippy Deverell In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Zippy Deverell defeated Ralph Liotta in 8:12 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. Rating: 32 Always knew this was going to be one of the low key matches of the first round. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Wild Red Stallion vs. Texas Hangman In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Texas Hangman defeated Wild Red Stallion in 7:55 by pinfall with a Choke Slam. Rating: 30 Not a good show for the ‘Friends of Larry’ unspoken stable… Friends of Larry… Hmmmm… KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: The Masked Mauler vs. Papa Swoll In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Papa Swoll defeated The Masked Mauler VII in 7:42 by pinfall with The Pounce. Rating: 28 Good win for the newcomer as Masked Mauler continues to be lost. Really we need a partner for him seeing as that’s how his predecessor found fame. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Charlie Corner vs. Riley McManus In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Charlie Corner in 8:13 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 41 Decent outing for the tag team specialist, but there’s no upset to be had here as McManus is fresh off his main event run. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Eagle vs. Marco Gonzalez In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Eagle defeated Marco Gonzalez in 8:14 by pinfall after using a foreign object. Rating: 42 Tag Teams explode in this first of a split-round of matches between Generation Wrecked and the Brooklyn Wrecking Crew. These two are the lesser-known of the two, but they are still talented in their own right. ANGLE: James Diaz is out to run down Eagle for ‘CHEATING’ to win his match and he won’t stand for those sorts of shenanigans in his match with that no-good, face-paint-wearing-charlatan. Rating: 43 Bold and big words from Diaz. This guy is great on the mic and that’s something we’d need to play with going forward. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: James Diaz vs. Hawkeye In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Hawkeye defeated James Diaz in 10:34 by pinfall after using a foreign object. Rating: 43 Dammit. These two just don’t click. Did we know that already? Possibly. And just like that, the champions are eliminated from the tournament. It’s not the end of the world of course, but it leaves them free to defend their titles in the future. ANGLE: Ernest Youngman is tired. So tired. He’s been chasing Fat Elvis for a year and the slippery ball of butter just keeps evading him. But he’ll fight his way through NYCW, he’ll win the tournament and get the title shot at Empire City Showdown and then, finally, the world will see what The Second City Saint is all about. Rating: 63 Decent fire shown by one of our top stars here. But can he live up to his word? KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Ernest Youngman vs. Animal Harker In a decent match, Ernest Youngman defeated Animal Harker in 23:46 by disqualification after interference from Tennessee William. Rating: 59 If he’s going to win, Youngman is going to have to get through one of the tougher sides of the draw. But with Harker working in Japan a lot, it made sense to get him out of the way early. OVERALL RATING: 56 88,923 viewers and Richie Riggins bid us farewell. Well, good luck to him I guess. And then Davis Wayne Newton bruised his tailbone in a match against Giant Brody. Luckily he could work through it, but that might cause some plans to be hastily rewritten at the last moment. At least Parker Pelton had fully recovered from his. NYCW Welcome to New York Sunday, Week 2, October, 2020 Three Rivers Club, Pittsburgh, Pennysylvania Attendance: 1,690 ANGLE: The Second City Saint Ernest Youngman is out and he’s at a loose end tonight, so he challenges Tennessee William to a Gang Wars match tonight. Pick your best two against my best two. Rating: 65 No point having a show without two of our biggest stars is there? KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Johnny Needham vs. Davis Wayne Newton In a terrible match, Johnny Needham defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 7:45 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. Rating: 31 In the upset of the first-round, tag team specialist Johnny Needham gets a huge victory over newcomer DWN. Some will say this is because of an injury, but I say the kid deserves it. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Dreadnought vs. Outlaw Wes Revell In a terrible match, Dreadnought defeated Outlaw Wes Revell in 6:15 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 28 Outlaw has a great gimmick and should really be in a team with Bradley Blaze. But, Blaze is out there carving a name for himself in singles competition leaving Outlaw with no direction. Plus, no one beats Dreadnought. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Cobra vs. Masked Stranger In a bout that had terrible wrestling and non-existent crowd heat, Masked Stranger defeated Cobra in 8:20 by submission with a Cobra Clutch. Rating: 33 Cobra is the young star, but we’ve horrible jobbed Masked Stranger for a year almost, so we gave him the big win to progress as thanks for laying on his back so much. A bit like tipping a whore. ANGLE: Tennessee William is backstage in a smoky room, sat around a poker table talking with Sweet Sal and the Family. The two are plotting something. Oddly the Southern Superstars are nowhere to be seen. Rating: 72 KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Sal DiMeo vs. Denny King In a poor match, Sal DiMeo defeated Denny King in 8:09 by pinfall with a Powerbomb. Rating: 40 Good match right there considering. And Sweet Sal outperformed King to boot. Impressive. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Nelson Callum vs. Prime Time Jack Pryde In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Nelson Callum defeated Prime Time Jack Pryde in 8:26 by submission with a Honey Trap. Rating: 51 Prime Time is a star of the future, Callum is a star of today. Hell of a performance by both men though. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Austin Smooth vs. Fro Sure In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Fro Sure defeated Austin Smooth in 7:48 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 39 Look at the new guy getting some momentum and some exposure. Austin Smooth is trapped in our bloated tag team division. We’d sort that out once Empire City Showdown was finished. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Andrew Harper vs. Bradley Blaze In a decent match, Bradley Blaze defeated Andrew Harper in 8:08 by pinfall with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 48 Blaze continues his stellar work and Harper does what Harper does, which in this case is lose. KONY ROUND ONE MATCH: Logan Wolfsbaine vs. Gracious Geoff Borne In a decent match, Logan Wolfsbaine defeated Gracious Geoff Borne in 9:31 by pinfall with a Belly To Belly Suplex. Rating: 53 With his tag team partner only just recovered, he gave Borne a shot in the tournament. But Logan is on a roll at the moment. GANG WARS MATCH: Ernest Youngman & Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Tennessee William & Generation Wrecked In a decent match, Ernest Youngman and Brooklyn Wrecking Crew drew with Tennessee William and Generation Wrecked in 12:01 following a double count out. Rating: 31 HOLD THE PRESSES! Brutus and Stallion win a match. By GAWD it must be the end of the world as we know it. ANGLE: Tennessee William is out with the rest of the Southern Superstars. Rating: 36 I’ve completely misplayed the feud between Heartbreak and Jets. The story has cooled to the point of pointlessness and really neither team is gaining anything from it. What a total flop. SINGLES MATCH: Papa Swoll vs. Dreadnought In a bout that had little heat and embarrassing wrestling, Dreadnought defeated Papa Swoll in 7:48 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 23 HOSS FIGHT!?! And booooyyy did it suck. These two have no chemistry. Good to know. Sometimes you have to establish a hoss hierarchy. Papa Swoll is good, but Dreadnought is the King… or man. Foreshadowing? GANG WARS MATCH: Bradley Blaze & Valedictorians vs. The DiMeo Family In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Bradley Blaze and The Valedictorians defeated Sal DiMeo and Generation Wrecked in 9:56 when Bradley Blaze pinned James Diaz with a Dallas Drop. Rating: 38 A lot of future big time talent in this match providing I don’t sink them all like I have in the previous match. Parker even gritted his teeth and toughed out wrestling with his injury with no downside. ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton is looking forward to being in his first Gang Wars match. He’s also happy about Logan being the team captain. Nelson Callum doesn’t understand why a B+ player is leading them when they have a bonafide star in the team? GANG WARS MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde & Brooklyn Wrecking Crew vs. Logan Wolfsbaine, Nelson Callum and Davis Wayne Newton In a decent match, Prime Time Jack Pryde and Brooklyn Wrecking Crew defeated Logan Wolfsbaine, Davis Wayne Newton and Nelson Callum in 12:01 when Prime Time Jack Pryde pinned Davis Wayne Newton by using underhanded tactics. Rating: 49 Massive win for Prime Time right there as he repays our faith in him by putting him in this match. Ending coming about because of Callum refusing to tag in to Logan. What a beautiful a-hole he is. ANGLE: Tennessee William confirms that Larry has bowed to the fans pressure after a hard-hitting campaign in the last hour and he’s guaranteed entry into the tournament. And tonight he and his Superstars are going to teach Youngman and his ‘super’ friends a lesson. Rating: 69 GANG WARS MATCH: Youngman, McManus and Fro Sure vs. The Southern Sueprstars In a decent match, Ernest Youngman, Riley McManus and Fro Sure drew with The SouthernSuperstars (Tennessee William, Texas Hangman and Zippy Deverell) in 23:41 following a double count out. Rating: 54 Fro Sure is losing his war into the main event. But I really wanted to try him out with some of the big boys to see how he hangs. He did fine.
