  1. Prediction Results For EEE Supershow: Halloween Hell 1. John Lions - 8/8 2. eayragt - 7/8 2. Herrbear - 7/8 2. Theheel - 7/8 5. KyTeran - 6/8 5. ToastyCenturion - 6/8 7. DinoKea - 5/8 7. smw88 - 5/8 Overall Prediction Standings 1. John Lions - 52/78 (67%) 2. Theheel - 50/78 (64%) 3. Herrbear - 49/78 (63%) 4. DinoKeo - 48/78 (62%) 5. KyTeran - 47/78 (60%) 6. eayragt - 45/78 (58%) 7. MisterRomanini - 24/34 (71%) 8. ToastyCenturion - 23/34 (68%) 9. Scottie - 15/33 (45%) 10. King Bison - 8/18 (44%) 11. smw88 - 5/8 (63%) PERFECTION! John Lions takes a break from plaguing my thoughts to get every match correct and further establish himself at the top of the overall leaderboard for 2024. Everyone did well though, with some good explanations and no-one below 50%. A big hello to smw88 (one of the top graphical artists on the forum) and the DinoKea curse on Riley McManus continues. Next time; the always tricky Battle Games event as we look at only two shows remaining on this year's competition.
  2. New York City… where we hoped to see a stellar main event, free of toxic aftermath… EEE Supershow: Halloween Hell Sunday, Week 4, October 2024 Greenwalt Dome, New York City, New York Attendance: 47,391 SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. Dreadnought In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Dreadnought defeated The Eagle in 7:52 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 61 Notes: The rise of the Dreadnought continues as he dispatches The Eagle quickly and decisively. Decent match for the big guy considering. SINGLES MATCH: George Trapesi vs. Monty Trescade In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, George Trapesi defeated Monty Trescarde in 9:36 by pinfall with a Star Maker Lariat. Rating: 72 Notes: He may have tumbled out of the main event, but big things were on the horizon for Trapesi. We just needed to keep him hot for the time being and a clean win over an established midcarder like Trescarde helped with that no end. Good match between these two. TAG TEAM MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. The Biggins Boys In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated The Biggins Boys in 9:44 when Rafe Sashay pinned Brett Biggins with a Fantastic Flashbang. Rating: 72 Notes: Probably the most predictable match-up and one which we sort of promised to never run again. But we expected retirement for Bart at the very least. But he just keeps getting carried to good matches by his ultra-fit brother. So they remain in place for now, but there’s no way we were having them bet The Fantastic Express. SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Valiant defeated The Masked Mauler in 9:58 by pinfall with a V-Split. Rating: 70 Notes: Got to try and keep Valiant’s popularity and momentum going. His collapsing merchandise figures were a problem, but I was confident I could build them back up and maybe make more money from them in the future. Good match here against The Masked Mauler. EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Angry Gilmore vs. Honest Frank Jr In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Honest Frank Jr defeated Angry Gilmore in 9:51 by pinfall with a Roll The Dice. Honest Frank Jr makes defence number one of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 66 Notes: Disappointing match as Angry Gilmore’s body really is letting him down. Still Frank Jr beats the old man again, as I find myself recycling old feuds to give the new IC champion someone trusted to beat. Gilmore’s character was amazing, but his in-ring prowess and popularity were waning somewhat. EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The VCC vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated The VCC in 10:03 when Ray Cavalero was disqualified while fighting Andrew Harper with the help of George Trapesi. The Twin Powers make defence number eight of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 72 Notes: Sure the champs keep hold of the titles but The VCC look every bit their equal in terms of intensity, power moves and nastiness. Good match too, which always helps. This story is definitely not over yet. But The Twin Powers live to fight another day. ANGLE: George Trapesi and The VCC lay a beating on The Twin Powers after the match. Having chased them off, they find themselves with Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan. After some taunting, Bryan Vessey levels Keelan with a heavy clothesline and knocks him silly. Rating: 79 Notes: First time anyone has laid hands on Keelan. Big moment in the young manager’s career. Crowd absolutely ate the whole segment up too. GANG WARS MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde, Charlie Corner & Fro Sure vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton, Riley McManus & Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde, Charlie Corner and Fro Sure defeated Perfect Pepper Pelton, Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer in 21:45 when Fro Sure pinned Riley McManus with a Sure Thing. Rating: 73 Notes: The Fro Sure growth has been astounding and this just furthers his cause as a future top-level star. His ability to shine in big matches, combined with his ability to elevate others to his level means he’s the dark horse candidate in our promotions for Most Valuable Player. Prime Time gets a measure of revenge here, but Pepper had already abandoned his teammates when the finish came to protect himself. EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. Davis Wayne Newton (c) In an exceptional match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Aaron Andrews in 25:29 by pinfall by using chair shot and a pin with his feet on the ropes. Davis Wayne Newton makes defence number two of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 77 Notes: We went with a cheating finish here to protect the challenger a bit. But the match itself was a little bit of a letdown. Don’t get me wrong, it was very good, but with these two I was expecting something incredible and it just never got to that place. Still DWN got the win and The Ace has reason to complain, so it’s not the end of the world. A rematch was almost certainly on the cards soon. OVERALL RATING: 75 A solid 774,216 viewers with a $695,095 profit meant it was another successful month for us. But the bigger news was still to come. Next time… Pay Per View…
  3. New York City… where change is as common as victory… In the aftermath of Last Chance, I had negotiated us a new TV deal with Arcadia. East Coast Today had been fantastic for our growth, but Arcadia were big boys and better matched our corporate profile. Rather than changing the show again, we’d stick with All Star Wrestling as it had built quite the following. It was then time to check the monthly merchandise figures, and things were not as rosy as they had been. Monthly Merchandise: 1. Valiant - $173,355 (-$372,084) 2. Aaron Andrews - $84,209 (+$14,858) 3. Charlie Corner - $57,102 (+$7,067) 4. Prime Time Jack Pryde - $51,632 (+$4,285) 5. George Trapesi - $39,073 (+$2,407) 6. Fro Sure - $37,696 (+$2,253) 7. Davis Wayne Newton - $21,200 (+$4,069) 8. Zippy Deverell - $16,829 (+$6,968) 9. Rafe Sasay - $11,229 (NEW) 10. Emma Chase - $10,800 ($0) While most workers were up, Valiant had seen a complete collapse in his merchandising figures, no doubt because of his failure to win the World Heavyweight Title a couple of months ago. We’d missed the peak of his popularity and perhaps should’ve pulled the trigger on him winning. Alas, this is the price you pay for building other stars and while it was a shame to lose that income, the benefits to DWN and Trapesi would serve us well in the future. With that all sorted it was time to begin the build to the next Supershow: Halloween Hell. EEE All Star Wrestling #33 Friday, Week 1, October 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,626 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton flanked by the two attackers from Last Chance appear at the entrance and make their way to the ring. DWN slowly opens his long sequined robe to reveal the EEE World Heavyweight Title. He is then handed a microphone as the two men flank him on either side. “Well, well, well. What did I tell you all? You get nowhere in this life without people watching your back. For months I have been beaten and battered by the endless groups of wrestlers. I knew Last Chance would be… my last chance. So I found myself two friends. Two of the very best in the world to help watch my back, and I think it’s fair to say they did what I needed them to do. Y’see, I cannot trust anyone from around here. And I certainly cannot trust any Americans. So I went back to my homeland and found two members of wrestling royalty. For decades the first family of wrestling have produced the finest workers the world has ever seen. A foundation on which all modern wrestling is based. And I’m happy to say that the new generation have agreed to align with me. It is my pleasure to introduce to you; Michael and Christopher Stone… The Stone Foundation. What you are looking at are Canada’s Finest. The Premier group in professional wrestling today. With the help of the Stone Family, I have reached the top of the mountain and dispatched The Pretender; George Trapesi. I hear he’s so distraught that he’s gone into hiding. Good riddance. So the only question is, where do we go from here…” At this, DEVIL by Shinedown kicks in and here comes Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews. “My man, sometimes you just need to shut the Hell up. Congratulations on cheating your way to the big prize. I bet your parents are proud. And you’ve got yourself the next generation of the Stone Family to back you up. That I am impressed with. As for where you go next, let me help you figure it out. I’m next!” DWN laughs and beckons for Andrews to enter the ring, knowing that it’s three-on-one. The Ace smiles and The Biggins Boys step out alongside him. The three of them storm the ring and DWN and the Stone Foundation bail. Rating: 92 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Monty Trescarde vs. Perfect Pepper Pelton In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Perfect Pepper Pelton defeated Monty Trescarde in 10:09 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Suplex. Rating: 64 [*]ANGLE: After the match the Keelan Family who’ve been at ringside deliver a terrible beatdown to Monty Trescarde. Keelan grabs a microphone. “I warned you Monty. I warned you. I only represent winners. Get out of here. And to you Perfect One. You see what I did? I did it for you. You are the future of this business and your old friend The Brain will always have your back. So what do you say? Are you still part of the Family?” Perfect Pepper Pelton waves his arms away and walks to the back alone. Rating: 88 [*]SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. Spike Sylvain In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, The Eagle defeated Spike Sylvain in 10:24 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 69 [*]ANGLE: Backstage Bryan Vessey has The VCC prepped and ready. He tells them that the next challenge in their climb comes next week with a number one contenders match against The Fantastic Express. Bryan chops their chests one after the other and they barely flinch. He declares them ready. Rating: 86 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Chip Martin & Flip Simpkins vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a decent match, The Twin Powers defeated Chip Martin and Flip Simkins in 9:41 when Bulldozer Brandon Smith pinned Flip Simkins with a Stereo Powerbombs. The Twin Powers make defence number seven of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 62 [*]ANGLE: Honest Frank Jr is admiring his Intercontinental Title backstage, when Thom Barrowman approaches for a quote. Frank declares himself moderately happy with the performance. More than anything it’s just nice that all the slack-jawed losers in New York won’t be able to argue with him about how good he is. After all, he’s the champion. Angry Gilmore walks by and gets close and stares in disbelief at the title. Frank: “Didn’t I retire you?” Gilmore gets angry at that comment and attacks the champion before Dreadnought steps in and chokes out Gilmore. Rating: 90 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Trent ‘The Talent’ Shaffer In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Trent Shaffer defeated Bradley Blaze in 9:45 by pinfall with a Heart Burn. Rating: 67 [*]ANGLE: Backstage in the locker room in near-darkness, George Trapesi is sat alone with his head in his hands. From somewhere else, Bryan Vessey approaches and puts his hand on Trapesi’s shoulder. “You alright kid?” Trapesi looks up and simply says “No.” Rating: 83 [*]GANG WARS MATCH: Aaron Andrew & The Biggins Boys vs. Canada’s Finest (Davis Wayne Newton & The Stone Foundation) In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Canada's Finest (Davis Wayne Newton, Michael Stone and Christopher Stone) defeated Aaron Andrews and The Biggins Boys in 9:44 when Christopher Stone pinned Brett Biggins with a handful of tights. Rating: 75 [*]ANGLE: After the match is over and with Andrews unconscious. Canada’s Finest attack The Biggins Boys, beating them to a pulp in the middle of the ring. Rating: 69 [*]OVERALL RATING: 79 – 0.96 (725,466 viewers), PPV Canada and Japan 0.03 (15,667 buys) Never let it be said that I don’t use every ounce of popularity in fading stars. The Biggins did what I needed them to do; get beaten by an up-and-coming team. Having successfully signed the Stone offspring straight out of the House of Stone training facility, I decided to incorporate them along with DWN and the results already are spectacular. The Stone Foundation Christopher Stone & Michael Stone The third generation of the Stone Family have arrived. Christopher and Michael are the children of Jeremy and Duane Stone respectively and having been trained in the new-and-improved Hands of Stone Academy are two of the more polished in-ring workers at such a young age. Packed with potential; Christopher is a technical master while Michael brings more power-based moves to create a perfect blend of the two. With almost unlimited upside, they have partnered with another uber-talented all-rounder in Davis Wayne Newton and the sky is the limit. EEE All Star Wrestling #34 Friday, Week 2, October 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,427 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time Jack Pryde is out with a mic. “Wassup New York City. As you may have noticed, I have returned. And at Last Chance I got to teach the punk Pep, my former best friend, a lesson about how you should treat those closest to you. I also notice that Pep is up to his old tricks again, this time with the Keelan Family. I’m not surprised, but really Keelan brings it upon himself. But Pep is why I’m here. Nothing else matters to me. Stopping ‘The Perfect One’ from achieving anything is the goal I’ve set myself. It’s a lesson that every man has to learn and now is the time for Pep to understand that he was lucky. Lucky to get a job here, lucky to be teamed with Prime Time and lucky to achieved anything. I’m sure that Pep will find someone else to leach off in no time. But Prime Time has friends everywhere in the world. So whatever Pep can do, I can do better. The hunt begins!” Rating: 86 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Bradley Blaze & Spike Sylvain vs. The Stone Foundation In a decent match, The Stone Foundation defeated Bradley Blaze and Spike Sylvain in 10:29 when Christopher Stone pinned Spike Sylvain with a Stone Strike. Rating: 53 [*]ANGLE: Backstage in the locker room Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer are sparring with one another. Trent asks where Fern is and Riley waves his hand as if to say ‘don’t ask.’ The Perfect One Pepper Pelton approaches them for a chat, but he doesn’t want the cameraman listening in. Rating: 89 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Ben Williams vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Ben Williams in 10:02 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 59 [*]ANGLE: Angry Gilmore is with Thom Barrowman and he’s got some words for Honest Frank Jr. He’s pretty sure the two of them have fought before and he’s angry that the kid took the beating he gave him and continued to wrestle. Not only continue, but actually win a title. Gilmore is pretty sure it’s just because of the tall drink of water who hangs around him like a bad smell. But he’s found himself a new partner to even the odds… The Eagle. Rating: 75 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Angry Gilmore & The Eagle vs. The Razorbacks In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Angry Gilmore and The Eagle defeated The Razorbacks in 9:32 when Angry Gilmore pinned Jamarr Green with a Sky High Elbow. Rating: 57 [*]ANGLE: Back in the locker room and Trent and Riley are still there, but without The Perfect One. The mood seems different than before and they appear to be arguing. Emma Chase approaches to try and find out what happened and neither of the men want to talk about it. Rating: 86 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Charlie Corner vs. William Jetterson In a decent match, Charlie Corner defeated William Jetterson in 10:21 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan brings out The Twin Powers to sit at ringside to watch the number one contenders match, while Billy joins the announce table. He doesn’t really care who wins tonight, because he knows The Twin Powers will beat all-comers. Because they’re winners. Rating: 82 [*]NO.1 CONTENDERS TAG TEAM MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. The VCC In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The VCC defeated The Fantastic Express in 9:36 when JP Barnham submitted Rafe Sashay with a Golden Scissors after interference from Bryan Vessey. Rating: 69 [*]ANGLE: After the match, The Twin Towers get in the ring to attack, but The VCC were expecting it and stand toe-to-toe with the champions. Outside the ring, Billy Keelan is barking instructions to his team. Bryan Vessey gestures to the back and George Trapesi comes to the ring with his hair in a tight ponytail and attacks the Keelan Family, chasing them away. Rating: 87 [*]OVERALL RATING: 74 – 0.86 (645,474 viewers), PPV Canada and Japan 0.02 (11,725 buys) And the next step in the evolution of the former LA Star #1 happens. He’s been the returning hero, the conquering champion and now he’s the no-frills fighter. A man who is putting himself through training at the hands of the one of the best to ever do it. In the limo heading downtown, my mind was almost completely on the upcoming feud between The Ace and DWN. Could we realistically build our promotion around a main event involving Andrews. He was still considered toxic and there’s absolutely no way of being able to predict the response to having a criminal as the top star. That isn’t to say we’d be switching the belt to him. But if the fans knew we wouldn’t do it, would they be invested fully in the story? All these anxieties swirled in my mind as The Masked Mauler and Rick Sanders met me at The Ministry. NYCW New York Forever 2024 The Ministry, New York City 1,000 (SOLD OUT!?!) Pablo Rodriguez defeated Big Jon Walker to retain the NYCW Tri-State Regional Title – 40 Joey Minnesota defeated Marco Gonzalez – 55 Denny King defeated Texas Hangman – 57 Sandman Winks defeated Ray Snow to retain the NYCW Nationwide Title – 57 Christian Plotcheck defeated Karl Greyjoy – 32 Leonardo Fry defeated Benjamin Reeves – 30 Porkchop Patterson defeated Velocidad Jr – 26 Blue Dragon defeated Arnold Jenkins – 37 Merlin Poutin defeated Melvin Walkinshaw – 31 OVERALL RATING: 43 There was a lot of talent in NYCW these days after I’d sent them Big Jon Walker and Joey Minnesota. All in all, the card was an enjoyable way to spend two hours. There was a lack of tag team wrestling for my liking. But you can’t win them all. As for the Andrews vs. Newton conundrum, it wasn’t something I had to worry about for at least a couple of weeks. I focused my mind on bringing along the other feuds. Andrews and DWN were savvy enough on the mic to tell their own story. EEE All Star Wrestling #35 Friday, Week 3, October 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,615 [*]ANGLE: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews is out. He knows DWN is ducking him. But come Halloween Hell, The Ace is going to finally get his hands on him… and his title. Davis Wayne Newton has a microphone, but is up in his personal balcony suite. He’s bored of this section of the show and demands that the producer moves on to something which entertains him… like The Biggins Boys getting beaten, again… Rating: 99 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. Taylor Mitchell In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Valiant defeated Taylor Mitchell in 10:24 by pinfall with a V-Split. Rating: 56 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. Crusher Toko In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde defeated Crusher Toko in 10:08 by pinfall with a PrydeFall. Rating: 67 [*]ANGLE: After the match, ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton hits the ring to confront Prime Time. With his back turned, Prime Time does not notice Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer appearing behind him. The three men beat down Prime Time and celebrate afterwards. Rating: 93 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Stevie Stanley & Bryan Jewett vs. The Stone Foundation In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Stone Foundation defeated Stevie Stanley and Bryan Jewett in 8:30 when Michael Stone submitted Stevie Stanley with a Stone Ankle Lock. Rating: 41 [*]ANGLE: Backstage Thom Barrowman is trying to get an interview with The Twin Powers. Billy Keelan steps in and tells Barrowman to watch himself. All he needs to know is the champs are looking forward to beating The VCC at Halloween Hell. But he doesn’t like the fact that that punk Bryan Vessey has got himself a third man for the outside. Trapesi better not be trying to use the Family to get his mojo back. Because if he is, there’ll be Hell to pay for all of them. Rating: 83 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Jason Patterson vs. Monty Trescarde In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Monty Trescarde defeated Jason Patterson in 8:06 by pinfall with a Cash Bonus. Rating: 58 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Fro Sure defeated The Masked Mauler in 22:04 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. Rating: 79 [*]OVERALL RATING: 82 – 0.98 (741,736 viewers), PPV Canada and Japan 0.01 (9,292 buys) Backstage I noticed Monty Trescarde taking time out of his warm-down to give advice to Jason Patterson. Yet another trainer and protégé situation. Wonderful. With one more show to go and a slow news week in the books, it was time for the go-home. EEE All Star Wrestling #36 Friday, Week 4, October 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 12,134 [*]ANGLE: After the opening pyros, Davis Wayne Newton’s voice can be heard. He’s standing up in his balcony with The Stone Foundation and he speaks down to the audience. The people of The Empire Ballroom may not know it, but they’re in the presence of history. Only in Empire Elite Entertainment can you see the Triple Threat live in person. Only here can you witness Canada’s Finest. And this weekend, you can see him in the hottest main event in years… against ‘The Criminal’ Aaron Andrews. But tonight he has it on good authority that Andrews isn’t here… probably meeting with his probation officer. So enjoy the main event, where DWN will grace you all by putting his title on the line. Rating: 88 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. Samoan Wrecking Crew In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated Samoan Wrecking Crew in 7:53 when Rafe Sashay pinned Loa Afu with a Fantastic Flashbang. Rating: 65 [*]SINGLES MATCH: George Trapesi vs. ‘The Stud’ Phil Anders In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, George Trapesi defeated Phil Anders in 8:25 by pinfall with a Star Maker Lariat. Rating: 69 [*]ANGLE: After the match, Bryan Vessey starts chopping Trapesi’s chest. And Trapesi just takes it without flinching. Bryan grabs the microphone. “Look what I’ve accomplished here. I have trained and beaten the ego out of this man. He was broken when I found him and look at him now. All sense of arrogance gone. He is no longer ‘The Star,’ he is simply George Trapesi. And he’s better for it. And Billy Keelan, you better watch your back. Because we aren’t just coming for the gold this weekend. We’re going to put you out of business.” Rating: 86 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Alistair Shufflebottom vs. The Masked Mauler In a decent match, The Masked Mauler defeated Alistair Shufflebottom in 7:37 by pinfall with a Piledriver. Rating: 60 [*]ANGLE: Honest Frank Jr and Dreadnought are looking for some warm-up work today before they each face Angry Gilmore and The Eagle at Halloween Hell. So get some goobers out here so that they can kick their backsides. Rating: 79 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Garry the Entertainer & Astro vs. Dreadnought & Honest Frank Jr In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought and Honest Frank Jr defeated Garry The Entertainer and Astro in 5:51 when Dreadnought pinned Astro with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 50 [*]EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: The Eagle vs. Davis Wayne Newton (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Davis Wayne Newton defeated The Eagle in 21:44 by pinfall with a handful of tights. Davis Wayne Newton makes defence number one of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 81 [*]ANGLE: After the hard-fought win, Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews music plays. The Stone Foundation form a protective barrier between the entrance and DWN, unaware that Andrews has come through the crowd. He attacks all three men and beats them out of the ring. Rating: 82 [*]OVERALL RATING: 81 – 0.98 (741,394 viewers), PPV Canada and Japan 0.01 (7,575 buys) Over the weekend, we discovered that Running Wolf had been elevated to the main event and had won the USPW World Title for the first time defeating Rocky Golden. That was actually a very smart move. Running Wolf is a superb all-rounder. And with that, we were all set for Sunday: EEE Supershow: Halloween Hell EEE World Heavyweight: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. Davis Wayne Newton © EEE World Tag Team: The VCC vs. The Twin Powers © EEE Intercontinental: Angry Gilmore vs. Honest Frank Jr © Prime Time Jack Pryde, Fro Sure & Charlie Corner vs. Pepper Pelton, Riley McManus & Trent Shaffer George Trapesi vs. Monty Trescarde Valiant vs. The Masked Mauler The Eagle vs. Dreadnought The Fantastic Express vs. The Biggins Boys Next time… All Hallow’s Eve…
  4. Prediction Results For EEE Supershow: Last Chance 1. John Lions - 6/7 1. KyTeran - 6/7 1. Theheel - 6/7 1. ToastyCenturion - 6/7 5. DinoKea - 4/7 5. eayragt - 4/7 5. Herrbear - 4/7 8. Scottie - 3/7 Overall Prediction Standings 1. John Lions - 44/70 (63%) 2. DinoKeo - 43/70 (61%) 2. Theheel - 43/70 (61%) 4. Herrbear - 42/70 (60%) 5. KyTeran - 41/70 (59%) 6. eayragt - 38/70 (53%) 7. MisterRomanini - 24/34 (71%) 8. ToastyCenturion - 17/26 (65%) 9. Scottie - 15/33 (45%) 10. King Bison - 8/18 (44%) John Lions roars into first place after tying for top score. I should note that his desriptions and reasoning is not only pretty on point, but he often guesses in advance the direction of some stories. It's quite incredible. Congrats also to Theheel, KyTeran and ToastyCenturion who share the top prize after some pretty solid guessing. The Fantastics DQ win probably threw some people, but broadly good stuff once again. We're heading towards Halloween Hell, with plenty of points up for grabs.
  5. New York City… where it’s a last chance in more ways than one… EEE Supershow: Last Chance Sunday, Week 4, Setpember 2024 Greenwalt Dome, New York City, New York Attendance: 48,646 TAG TEAM MATCH: The Biggins Boys vs. The VCC In a bout that had great heat and good wrestling, The VCC defeated The Biggins Boys in 10:11 when Ray Cavalero pinned Bart Biggins with a Vessey lock. Rating: 77 Notes: The resurgence of The VCC under Bryan Vessey’s leadership continues with a clean victory over the former champions. Fantastic match-up too. I had toyed with sending The Biggins Boys down into development to help the next generation, but they just keep delivering great matches, so for now we’d broadly look to make them our beatable midcard face tag team. Very hot start to the show. SINGLES MATCH: Dreadnought vs. Crusher Toko In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought defeated Crusher Toko in 5:37 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 43 Notes: The Monster Among Men absolutely destroys failed experiment Crusher Toko to properly establish himself as a danger to the rest of the locker. He was still very much the 1b to Honest Frank’s 1a, but with his upside and us not failing with his development this time, we could be off to the races. SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. Spike Sylvain In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The Eagle defeated Spike Sylvain in 10:22 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 64 Notes: Two originals battle it out in a solid match-up. The Eagle was always going to get the win here, but watching Spike reminded of the time we paired him with Eddie Braddock as the New York Dolls. We’d come a long way since then, but I always felt nostalgic for the good old days of NYCW. TAG TEAM MATCH: Angry Gilmore & Fro Sure vs. Pepper Pelton & Monty Trescarde In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Angry Gilmore and Fro Sure defeated Pepper Pelton and Monty Trescarde in 10:25 when Fro Sure pinned Monty Trescarde with a Sure Thing after Prime Time Jack Pryde ran in and brawled with Pepper. Rating: 73 Notes: Good match, but a little disappointing, mainly because Pepper and Monty don’t work well as a team. Fro Sure continues to bubble along nicely and this was a decent win for Angry Gilmore who has been struggling to find those in recent weeks. Our attempts to make Monty a top-level heel have basically stopped now and he will become the perfect heel counter-point to The Eagle. Prime Time has returned as his blood feud with his former best friend continues. EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated The Twin Powers in 10:20 when Bulldozer Brandon Smith was disqualified for Powerbombing Rafe Sashay through a table. Rating: 67 Notes: A win for The Fantastics, but not one they would have wanted. The Twin Powers continue to cling to the belts for dear life, but also continue their domination. Having seen so many title changes in a short space of time, it’s nice to have some stability and a big Hoss team holding the titles, so when we do switch them it’ll mean something. Hopefully. EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Honest Frank Jr vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Honest Frank Jr defeated Charlie Corner in 22:27 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. Honest Frank Jr wins the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 71 Notes: And the dream run of Charlie Corner comes to a halt at the hands of one of the top antagonists in the company. It’s a big night for both men as Frank Jr finally gets his hands on some gold (and with it some power), while Charlie can afford the loss after months of victories over some of our top stars. With Corner’s momentum riding high, it seemed a great time to transition him up the card towards the top to see what his limits are. It might be quick, but I had faith in him and so, it seems, did a lot of our veteran workers. TAG TEAM MATCH: Aaron Andrews & Valiant vs. Riley McManus & Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Aaron Andrews and Valiant defeated Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer in 10:18 when Aaron Andrews pinned Riley McManus with a Flying Body Press. Rating: 80 Notes: What a match. The combination of overness and in-ring talent combined to create an incredible match-up which got the audience buzzing and would no doubt mean better things for all four men going forward. Eventually I’d have to bite the bullet and permanently team Shaffer and McManus, but for now their ability to be great singles and tag stars was a benefit we’d exploit. EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Davis Wayne Newton vs. ‘The Star’ George Trapesi (c) In an exceptional match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated George Trapesi in 23:48 by submission with a STF after interference from two unknown wrestlers. Davis Wayne Newton wins the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 82 Notes: Just when I thought we couldn’t top the previous match, these two deliver one of our best ever matches. The conclusion of the long-running feud which has seen DWN transition from solid upper-midcarder to top star has been a joy to watch and he has taken it all in his stride with aplomb. And hats off to George Trapesi, who carried the company through our own transition and established himself as a bonafide top-level performer for us. But it was time for something new, and add to it the debut of two mysterious workers helps bring that new era forward. ANGLE: After the match, the two newcomers along with Davis Wayne Newton are destroying ‘The Star’ George Trapesi. Cheerleader Nicki tries to save The Star, but they happily beat her down too. Rating: 71 Notes: Now that is heel behaviour. OVERALL RATING: 80 An amazing show which brought us 740,864 viewers and a very healthy $819,051 profit. Next time… the Canada’s Finest Era has begun…

  8. New York City… where there isn’t a gift horse we haven’t looked in the mouth… Summer Slamboree was a stellar success on paper with 743,851 viewers and $557,696 profit made. In terms of merchandising the clean loss taken by Valiant had not seemed to have harmed his incredible run. Monthly Merchandise: 1. Valiant - $545,439 (+$24,568) 2. Aaron Andrews - $69,351 (+$11,535) 3. Charlie Corner - $50,035 (+$21,929) 4. Prime Time Jack Pryde - $47,347 (+$13,970) 5. George Trapesi - $36,666 (+$2,200) 6. Fro Sure - $35,443 (+$6,479) 7. Zippy Deverell - $10,440 (+$579) Charlie Corner’s continued dominance was making him something of a breakout star in the company and I personally couldn’t have been more delighted as I was genuinely worried a year or so ago that he’d never take the first steps to fulfilling his great potential. In wrestling news from around the world, we discovered that Brother Grimm and his upstart Grimm SoCal Wrestling had finally closed it’s doors after years of financial mismanagement. I’d like to say I was sad, but really they were a one-trick pony who failed to adapt in the long run. The circle of wrestling life continues to spin as news reaches me that Eddie Chandler has founded Gateway City Wrestling in St. Louis. We’d watch their progress with great interest. From our point of view, with Summer Slamboree in the books, it was time to churn the roster and spin the storylines to move people up and down. Valiant’s short stint in the World Heavyweight Title scene was broadly at an end. I had almost booked myself into a corner with his victory at the Rip Chord Invitational as I didn’t particularly want him to lose, but I also wasn’t keen to put the title on him either. EEE All Star Wrestling #29 Friday, Week 1, September 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 12,149 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton is out and he’s furious. He demands President Sam Keith gets out here at once. President Keith says he understands his frustration. DWN cuts him off and says he doesn’t understand anything. He, DWN, the Canadian Hero is the uncrowned World Heavyweight Champion. He’s already beaten the champ and on Sunday Trapesi pinned Valiant. But he’s never pinned him. So he wants his one-on-one match. Valiant storms the ring to attack and DWN stands his ground. Trent Shaffer and Riley McManus then strike to attack the American Hero, but in the confusion DWN once again gets hit and knocked out. Valiant then chases off Shaffer and McManus. Rating: 88 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Chip Martin vs. The Masked Mauler In a decent match, The Masked Mauler defeated Chip Martin in 10:19 by submission with an Iron Claw. The Perfect One better watch his back, because come Hell of high water, Prime Time will get his hands on him. Rating: 81 [*]EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: ‘The Stud’ Phil Anders vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Phil Anders in 10:18 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter. Rating: 92 [*]SIX-PACK CHALLENGE MATCH: Aaron Andrews vs. Valiant vs. Trent Shaffer vs. Riley McManus vs. Davis Wayne Newton vs. Perfect Pepper Pelton In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Valiant, Trent Shaffer, Riley McManus, Aaron Andrews and Perfect Pepper Pelton in 19:54 when Davis Wayne Newton submitted Perfect Pepper Pelton with a STF after interference from The Keelan Family, The Fantastic Express and George Trapesi. Rating: 82 [*]OVERALL RATING: 83 – 0.75 (565,803 viewers), 0.04 Canada and Japanese PPV (24,701 buys) Massive win for DWN as he’s able to avoid any of the multitude of interfering groups and teams. Proving that even working alone, he can get the job done. We were building to the next Supershow: Last Chance… The moniker was a nice, vague wrestling-like title for a show with limited specialist appeal. The main event of Davis Wayne Newton and George Trapesi had plenty of heat, but the show lacked gimmicks. Regardless, I was on my way to The Ministry for my monthly visit to stand in the crowd of the NYCW show. Sometimes it’s hard to really let go. It did not go all that well though. Still he was young, he could bounce back. After the show an old-looking Joey Minnesota asked me if I could call him up to the main roster again. I politely refused the request and told him he was doing great work right here. He was not pleased, but at least I was honest with him. EEE All Star Wrestling #31 Friday, Week 3, September 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,763 [*]ANGLE: Valiant comes out. He needs to get some things off his chest. Mainly about that Canadian Puke; Davis Wayne Newton. Having won the Rip Chord Invitational, he deserves a World Title shot, but because DWN complained he just kept getting shot after shot. That isn’t the American way, but obviously it’s the Canadian way. DWN better keep his eyes peeled though, because Valiant has his card marked. Rating: 82 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. Spike Sylvain In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Valiant defeated Spike Sylvain in 8:11 by pinfall with a V-Split. Rating: 63 [*]TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The VCC vs. The Razorbacks In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The VCC defeated The Razorbacks in 8:12 when JP Barnham submitted TJ Brown with a Golden Scissors. He squares up to his old foe Bulldozer and tells them to lace it up. He’s having a shot at their titles right now. Billy Keelan points out he doesn’t have a partner. Gilmore looks around and points at the skinny Stevie Stanley, who is eating a sandwich. “Hey fatty, put the sandwich down, we’ve got tag team titles to win.” Rating: 76 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Angry Gilmore & Stevie Stanley vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated Angry Gilmore and Stevie Stanley in 7:36 when Bulldozer Brandon Smith pinned Stevie Stanley following Stereo Powerbombs. He’s never done that before and he feels sort of happy and sick. That must be was anger is. And he is feeling it course through his body. He knows the team have made some mistakes, but when there’s chaos, these things happen. He wants the others to know he forgives them. The Twin Powers and Monty Trescarde all roll their eyes. But he finds himself now heading into a Supershow with no match. And that is unacceptable. So he’s offering a free shot at the King for anyone with the stones to take it. Fro Sure answers the call, and he’ll happily take down another member of the family, having already beaten Trescade within an inch of his life. Oof. What's annoying is that for those with reasons, I can totally see why you chose the way you did and in retrospect; I believe your choices were probably the best and mine... well mine caused me some trouble in the immediate aftermath. But congrats to Herrbear and ToastyCenturion who managed to give it a good old college try. And to those beyond that, I feel the need to apologise somewhat. But I'm not going to. Because this is professional wrestling... and you never apologise.
  10. EEE Summer Slamboree 2024 Sunday, Week 4, August 2024 Greenwalt Dome, New York City, New York Attendance: 46,956 SINGLES MATCH Angry Gilmore vs. Trent Shaffer The show kicks off with a singles match which could’ve been a main event a little over a year ago. The two old rivals had little else to do but fight. Fortunately they both love fighting. Angry Gilmore’s search for a young tag team partner has been temporarily put on hold, but weeks of losing with a variety of rookies means he was a little off his game. Trent ‘The Talent’ Shaffer never is. In a somewhat one-sided shoeing, Trent is all business with the middle-aged and crazy opposition and finishes relatively quickly with a Heart burn for the win. In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Trent Shaffer defeated Angry Gilmore in 9:49 by pinfall with a Heart Burn. Rating: 69 EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH Honest Frank Jr vs. Charlie Corner (c) In the battle of two of our youngest and hottest stars; there is a sense of talking the truth into existence. Corner has remained unwaveringly nice and kind to Frank Jr, which has thrown the well-known grouch to get confused. Following a cheat-to-win victory last month, Charlie Corner continues cheating in this match, although he always makes sure to apologise for doing so immediately afterwards. Then, towards the end with Honest Frank Jr actually getting some momentum, he calls for Dreadnought who accidentally hits Frank Jr, allowing Corner to steal a pinfall and the win. Having somewhat blamed Dreadnought before when it wasn’t his fault, we have to wonder how the second-generation superstar will deal with a situation where Dreadnought was partly to blame. In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Honest Frank Jr in 9:34 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter following botched interference by Dreadnought. Charlie Corner makes defence number six of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 69 TAG TEAM MATCH The VCC vs. Samoan Wrecking Crew In a short match, the newly toughened and impressive VCC took their bigger and more physically impressive opponents apart. This wasn’t just a squash, it was an extended squash where The VCC could showcase a variety of their new submission moves. Throughout the whole match Bryan Vessey was throwing out advice and barking orders on which limb to target next. It was about as dominant win as a tag team can get. In a decent match, The VCC defeated Samoan Wrecking Crew in 8:29 when JP Barnham submitted Loa Afu with a Golden Scissors. Rating: 63 SINGLES MATCH Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton In the second match-up between the former partners, Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan was neutralised early one. Prime Time having learnt his lesson from the last match destroyed the agent before the bell even ran, meaning a stretcher had to be brought out. The Perfect One, unphased took out his frustrations and losses from the last month on his former best friend. But it isn’t long before the betrayed begins to regain control. It’s a wild brawl between two of the hottest stars in the wrestling industry and goes back and forth, making up for with intensity, what it lacks in psychology. Just when it looks like Prime Time might finally avenge the betrayal, The Perfect One reaches into his trunks without the referee spotting and clobbers his opponent with brass knuckles. With the crowd mutinous, Pep covers Prime Time for the 1-2-3. In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Pepper Pelton defeated Prime Time Jack Pryde in 9:36 by pinfall after using a foreign object. Rating: 72 SINGLES MATCH The Eagle vs. The Masked Mauler In the Battle for the Heart and Soul of Empire Elite Entertainment, the two bruising middleweight wrestlers; The Eagle and The Masked Mauler spend ten minutes chopping one another. It’s an oddly therapeutic match consisting almost entirely of basic moves performed viciously. Unlike in their most recent match-up, this time it’s The Masked Mauler who gets the edge and is able to best The Eagle, finishing with the classic Piledriver to win. Whether this makes the Mauler the actual heart and soul of the company remains as mysterious as both men’s backstories. In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The Masked Mauler defeated The Eagle in 10:20 by pinfall with a Piledriver. Rating: 64 EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Fantastic Express vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a rematch, the former multi-time NYCW tag team champions attempt to fulfil their destiny and claim their first EEE World Tag Team Titles from the dominant Twin Powers tag team. With Billy Keelan having been removed to the hospital thanks to the assault from Prime Time; The Twin Powers enter the match alone. This is less of an issue when you’re both gigantic, nasty brawlers like Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Andrew Harper are. As expected; The Fantastic Express use their dynamic high-flying offense, combined with a more grounded submission-based attack specifically to take the big men off their feet and remove the power move advantage. For some time it works and a number of near-falls have the crowd on the edge of their seats. With the match reaching a wonderful rhthym, The Biggins Boys make a shocking return to the company after their destruction at the hands of the champions. Their timing couldn’t be worse for The Fantastic Express, who miss an obvious pinfall when the referee is distracted by the spontaneous brawl outside the ring. Having seen enough, the referee calls for the bell and disqualifies the champions. In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated The Twin Powers in 9:38 when Andrew Harper was counted out fighting Bart Biggins at ringside. Rating: 70 SINGLES MATCH Fro Sure vs. Monty Trescarde Following his defeat at the hands of Davis Wayne Newton and his victory over Monty last month, Fro Sure finds himself up against again in the rematch. Even though Monty is without Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan to start the match, the evil taxman does not hold back in his attacks. Realising that he lost due to the dynamic attacks of Fro Sure last time, Trescarde brings the match down to a much slower pace. Hoping to rely on the old adage that ‘the longer the match goes, the better Monty Trescarde gets.’ But you can’t keep a man like Fro Sure down for too long and as he begins to mount a comeback, the crowd are firmly on his side. What he was not accounting for though, was the return of a hobbling and bandaged Billy Keelan who is able to grab one of Fro Sure’s feet. Distracting him for long enough for Monty to hit the Cash Bonus and the win. In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Monty Trescarde defeated Fro Sure in 22:26 by pinfall with a Cash Bonus after Billy Keelan interfered. Rating: 81 SINGLES MATCH Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus The feud between The Ace and The Georgia Bulldog has been heated and long-lasting. McManus’ refusal to forgive Andrews for coming into the company and ‘stealing his spot’ has lead the former collegiate star on a rampage of attacks and assaults. To his credit, Andrews has matched the intensity of the former champion as both men enter the rubber match. And what a match it is, blending multiple styles as our two best ring general performers help each other reach new heights in one of the best matches of the year so far. Neither man gives an inch in a rollercoaster affair. But when all is said and down, Riley McManus lifts Andrews for the Slingshot Suplex, but can’t hold him. The Ace escapes the move and hits a quick Flying Body Press to finally shut the door on the feud and firmly establish himself as an EEE stalwart. In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Aaron Andrews defeated Riley McManus in 23:16 by pinfall with a Flying Body Press. Rating: 83 EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH Valiant vs. Davis Wayne Newton vs. ‘The Star’ George Trapesi (c) After being treated to an incredible show top to bottom, the audience at the Greenwalt Dome are red hot for the main event. Each of the men enter slowly and methodically and we have a big match feel, complete with darkened lights on the fans and spotlight overheads. The biggest cheer of the night goes to Valiant, while Davis Wayne Newton is met with a cascade of boos, which he seems to love. And the match begins… It's fair to say that Valiant does not have the stamina or explosive attributes of his opponents and for large portions of the near-half-an-hour match-time he is unconscious on the floor outside. Trapesi and Newton have obviously identified him as the threat and are happy to tear lumps out of one another to continue their feud. Despite being out for most of the match, Valiant makes a series of last-minute saves which peak the crowd and keep the heat on the match. Then as the match reaches it's peak, Davis Wayne Newton has the STF locked-in on a beaten George Trapesi. Just as it looks like he's going to tap out, Valiant again makes the save. With DWN’s hair in his hands, Valiant lines up a V-Split. He bounces off the ropes, with DWN on his knees in perfect position as Trapesi comes over the top of the prone DWN and delivers a smashing Star Maker Lariat. A quick Super Kick to keep DWN down and the champ covers the All-American Patriot, making sure to hook both legs as the crowd count along with the pinfall. In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, George Trapesi defeated Valiant and Davis Wayne Newton in 24:22 when George Trapesi pinned Valiant with a Star Maker Lariat. George Trapesi makes defence number thirteen of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 82 OVERALL RATING: 81 And that is how you do that. Next time… have we accidentally crippled the merchandising machine that is Valiant…
  11. Yup, no problem and apologies. Amended now, I forget that the finishes aren't always clear even if they are in my head.
  12. New York City… where things begin to take shape and life as we know might change… Slow news week, so we rattle on. EEE All Star Wrestling #27 Friday, Week 3, August 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,174 [*]ANGLE: Sam Keith starts the show. He is carrying a set of contracts to the ring. “Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to announce that I have been elected the President of Empire Elite Entertainment in a unanimous vote. My plan is to run this company with honesty and integrity. With that, this evening we are having a contract signing for the upcoming main event.” Valiant, Davis Wayne Newton and ‘The Star’ George Trapesi are out. They play nice for a bit and sign the contracts. Then DWN attacks Valiant and it descends into a brawl. Rating: 84 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bad News Barker vs. Dreadnought In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Dreadnought defeated Bad News Barker in 6:30 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 47 [*]ANGLE: Thom Barrowman is interviewing Bryan Vessey backstage and he brings in The VCC who are bruised and bandaged. Vessey points out that to sharpen the skills of these two hyper-talented workers, sometimes he has to push boundaries. When he came to them, they were good. When he’s finished they will be great. Rating: 73 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Bradley Blaze in 8:01 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 52 [*]ANGLE: The Masked Mauler is backstage with Barrowman just continuous chanting ‘Life and Soul.’ The Eagle joins and offers a chance for the two of them to team. Maybe they can both be the heart and soul of EEE? Mauler thinks and slaps Eagle in the chest in acknowledgment. Rating: 74 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The VCC vs. The Masked Mauler and The Eagle In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The VCC defeated The Masked Mauler and The Eagle in 8:10 when JP Barnham submitted The Masked Mauler with a Golden Scissors after The Masked Mauler got wiped out after a spot of partner miscommunication. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: The Eagle and The Masked Mauler brawl with each other after the match. Rating: 85 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Angry Gilmore & Chip Martin vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated Angry Gilmore and Chip Martin in 8:19 when Andrew Harper pinned Angry Gilmore after Stereo Powerbombs. The Twin Powers make defence number three of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 62 [*]ANGLE: After the match Gilmore beats Chip Martin down in frustration. Rating: 82 [*]EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Pepper Pelton in 21:29 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter following interference from Prime Time Jack Pryde. Charlie Corner makes defence number five of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 73 [*]ANGLE: The match closes with backstage workers trying to stop the wild brawl between the former Cross River Connection. Rating: 82 [*]OVERALL RATING: 76 – 0.72 (541,973 viewers) So following his failure to win the World Heavyweight Title because of Prime Time, The Perfect One fails to win the Intercontinental for the same reason. He’s been white hot for ages, so a couple of losses won’t hurt him. For months I had struggling with having to work as lead announcer on the third show of the month because Mitch Naess insists on running Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling on the same night. To help us through that, I’d asked Larry and our newly created scouting department to find me another announcer to add to the television announce booth to cover because I certainly wasn’t good enough. They found me ‘Babyface’ Lee Bambino from Grimm SoCal Wrestling. Making sure to sign him to an exclusive contract, we stole him away in what might be one of our first ever raids on a smaller company. It had the added benefit of further crippling a company who have been struggling financially. With any luck we’d have them out of business by the end of the year. EEE All Star Wrestling #28 Friday, Week 4, August 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,394 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton is out to talk about the World Title match. Trapesi and Valiant appear and an argument ensues. Then Trent Shaffer and Riley McManus appear to beat up all three men, which draws out Aaron Andrews to try and even the numbers. Then The Keelan Family storm the ring, but are intercepted by Prime Time, Fro Sure and The Fantastic Express. Somehow in all the fighting; Davis Wayne Newton gets hit by each group or side. Rating: 83 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Bad News Barker In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Fro Sure defeated Bad News Barker in 9:41 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 71 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Alistair Shufflebottom vs. Monty Trescade In a decent match, Monty Trescarde defeated Alistair Shufflebottom in 10:11 by pinfall with a Cash Bonus. Rating: 61 [*]ANGLE: The Eagle needs to settle the score once and for all. On Sunday, we’re going to find out exactly who the Heart and Soul of the company is… The Eagle or The Masked Mauler. Rating: 70 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Masked Mauler defeated Bradley Blaze in 9:37 by pinfall with a Piledriver. Rating: 64 [*]ANGLE: The Fantastic Express are backstage and the clock is ticking on The Twin Powers. They beat them at the top of the show and on Sunday they’re going to beat them and take the titles off them. Rating: 88 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Angry Gilmore & Jason Patterson vs. The Fantastic Express In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated Angry Gilmore and Jason Patterson in 10:14 when Rafe Sashay pinned Angry Gilmore with a Fantastic Flashbang. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: Angry Gilmore is angry at his tag team partner again and beats them down. Rating: 63 [*]GANG WARS MATCH: George Trapesi, Valiant & Aaron Andrews vs. Davis Wayne Newton, Riley McManus & Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, George Trapesi, Valiant and Aaron Andrews drew with Davis Wayne Newton, Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer in 10:19 following a double disqualification after both teams refused to stop fighting with one another. Rating: 80 [*]ANGLE: After the match is a huge brawl with the entire locker room seeming to empty to the ring for a fight. Rating: 90 [*]OVERALL RATING: 81 – 0.73 (549,253 viewers) I simply cannot resist a draw or a schmozz. I must remember we’re not some tiny little promotion though and will try and avoid over-using it from this point on. 13. New York City… where the heat wave is on… The Rip Chord Invitational Supershow bagged as a somewhat disappointing 718,846 viewers, but also a very healthy $547,501 profit. So swings and roundabouts. Following the discovery of Valiant’s incredible merchandise numbers the month before, I’ve decided to keep track of how figures and workers fare each month. Merchandise Figures: 1. Valiant - $520,877 (+$4,606) 2. Aaron Andrews - $57,816 (+$10,594) 3. George Trapesi - $34,466 (+$1,533) 4. Prime Time Jack Pryde - $33,377 (+$9,171) 5. Fro Sure - $28,964 (+$2,839) 6. Charlie Corner - $28,106 (+$7,245) 7. Angry Gilmore - $15,898 (+$1,091) 8. Emma Chase - $10,607 (+$0) 9. Zippy Deverell - $9,861 (NEW) 10. Davis Wayne Newton - $8,819 (NEW) Good work from Valiant as normal, but also from Aaron Andrews and Davis Wayne Newton too. The merchandise of the babyfaces outstrips the heels by a large margin, but that is something to bear in mind going forward. But for now we had one of the Big Four of the year to look forward too. Outside of Empire Royale and Battle Games, this was the counterpoint big show to Starclash. And thus arguably our second biggest and most important event. The main event was set with Valiant taking on ‘The Star’ George Trapesi, but there was a month to go until the show, thus… anything could happen. EEE All Star Wrestling #25 Friday, Week 1, August 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,798 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton is out and his not happy. He beat the World Champion and yet he’s stood here without the belt around his waist. And now he hears Valiant is the number one contender. It’s not good enough, so Valiant needs to get his backside out there. Livin in America by James Brown plays and Valiant appears. He feels DWN pain, but he knows the former challenger isn’t some newborn. He understands the rules of the ring. You can only win the title via pinfall and submission. DWN loses his temper and screams at Valiant, who just smiles in response. Valiant is a fighter who does what he does… for the people. Do they want to see these two fight for the right to a title shot? The crowd cheer and Valiant offers the match, which DWN accepts. Rating: 85 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Crusher Toko In a decent match, Bradley Blaze defeated Crusher Toko in 9:53 by pinfall with a handful of tights. Rating: 54 [*]ANGLE: Riley McManus is backstage with Thom Barrowman. He’s sick of that cheat Aaron Andrews stealing his opportunities. Barrowman asks how Andrews cheated and McManus replies “He’s a criminal Thom, of course he cheats. But the people, these idiots all still cheer him. What is up with that?” Still, he’s a collegiate legend and former World Champion. He’s not afraid of doing what needs to be done to win. Rating: 83 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. ‘The Stud’ Phil Anders In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Aaron Andrews defeated Phil Anders in 11:29 by pinfall with a Flying Body Press. Rating: 68 [*]ANGLE: Backstage The Masked Mauler and The Eagle are taking turns to chop each other in the chest, with both me trying to show no pain. Rating: 63 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Stevie Stanley & Flip Simpkins vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a decent match, The Twin Powers defeated Stevie Stanley and Flip Simkins in 12:08 when Andrew Harper pinned Flip Simkins with a Stereo Powerbombs. The Twin Powers make defence number two of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 60 [*]ANGLE: Honest Frank Jr and Dreadnought are backstage in the locker room. Frank is annoyed that that California guy kept the title, but he doesn’t blame Dreadnought. Who looks at him in surprise that he’d even consider it. Frank Jr hasn’t given up though. He’s going to write his name in the history books by winning that title, no matter how he does it. Rating: 78 [*]EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Bad News Barker vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Bad News Barker in 9:40 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter. Charlie Corner makes defence number four of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 61 [*]ANGLE: Billy Keelan is out with ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton. At the Rip Chord Invitational, The Perfect One proved that he’s always been the talent in the Cross River Connection. With that sorted, he’s now looking on to bigger and better things. Just then Prime Time’s music kicks in. Keelan and Pelton look to the entrance, unaware that Pryde is coming through the crowd. He attacks and forces his former partner new manager to retreat. Rating: 85 [*]NO.1 CONTENDERS MATCH: Valiant vs. Davis Wayne Newton In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Valiant drew with Davis Wayne Newton in 9:37 when the referee lost control and stopped the match. Rating: 80 [*]OVERALL RATING: 79 – 0.71 (533,940 viewers) And one week into the month and the status of the main event is up in the air. Exactly as I’d planned it. EEE All Star Wrestling #26 Friday, Week 2, August 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,502 [*]ANGLE: ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton is out with Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan and the rest of the Family. He knows that Prime Time is angry and disappointed. It’s never nice to realise that you’re the weaker half of a team. But that’s not something he should worry about. Anyone comparing themselves to Perfection is going to fall short. He knew that once he’d attacked that he’d be the hottest singles free agent on the market and his good friend The Brain didn’t wait to snap him up. Prime Time interrupts the love in and he’s got backup. The Fantastic Express are alongside him and they’re looking for a fight. So if Pep wants to pick the two best of his new buddies, they’ll take them on in a Gang Wars match… tonight. Rating: 88 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Jason Patterson vs. Trent Shaffer In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Trent Shaffer defeated Jason Patterson in 9:34 by pinfall with a Heart Burn. Rating: 62 [*]ANGLE: Angry Gilmore is with Thom Barrowman. And he’s pretty angry. Today he’s angry about his future. About his legacy. And he’s made a big decision. He wants to be remembered for bringing through the next generation. So from this day forward, he’s looking for a hungry young star to join him in a tag team. He’s searching for the future of professional wrestling who can shape and mould and who will take on his legacy. So he’ll be holding try-outs to find the man. Starting right now. Rating: 85 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Angry Gilmore & Porkchop Patterson vs. Samoan Wrecking Crew In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Samoan Wrecking Crew defeated Angry Gilmore and Porkchop Patterson in 8:16 when Loa Afu pinned Porkchop Patterson with a Samoan Splash. Rating: 55 [*]ANGLE: Crusher Toko joins the Samoan Wrecking Crew after that match to speak in Maori and then issue an open challenge for Summer Slamboree. Rating: 67 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Stevie Stanley vs. Spike Sylvain In a decent match, Spike Sylvain defeated Stevie Stanley in 9:42 by pinfall with a Punk-N-Nasty. Rating: 60 [*]ANGLE: Fro Sure is out to the ring to perform his latest hit ‘Funk till you Drop.’ The rest of his band join him in the ring. And after a short while playing, Monty Trescarde slides in and attacks the band. Fro Sure escapes but has to watch on as his drummer gets brainbustered. Rating: 90 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Honest Frank Jr In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Honest Frank Jr defeated Bradley Blaze in 11:39 by pinfall with a Roll The Dice. Rating: 65 [*]ANGLE: Backstage in the offices of Sam Keith, Davis Wayne Newton to arguing with the legendary road agent. He demands that he gets another shot. Sam Keith responds that he doesn’t have that sort of power. Valiant then enters, a lot calmer to say that he’s the number one contender. Sam repeats that he’s not in control and this is really nothing to do with him. The two begin arguing and after failing to get a word in, Sam snaps and tells them they both are number one contender. He invites George Trapesi in and asks if he’d like to face them in separate matches or in a triple threat? Trapesi takes the triple threat. And Sam tells them it’s all sorted and they should now leave him alonge. Rating: 84 [*]GANG WARS MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde & The Fantastic Express vs. The Keelan Family (The Perfect One & Twin Powers) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Prime Time Jack Pryde and The Fantastic Express defeated The Keelan Family (Perfect Pepper Pelton, Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Andrew Harper) in 9:32 when Prime Time Jack Pryde pinned Andrew Harper with a handful of tights. Rating: 77 [*]OVERALL RATING: 79 – 0.72 (542,765 viewers) So the main event is now a triple threat with both Davis Wayne Newton and Valiant getting their shot. Trapesi has made life difficult for himself, but we had faith. With that all sorted, it was time to head to The Ministry to check in and make sure Joey Minnesota hadn’t burnt the place down. NYCW Fights on Broadway 2024 The Ministry, New York City 1,000 (SOLD OUT!?!) Joey Minnesota & Big Jon Walker defeated Ray Snow & Jay Silver - 54 Denny King defeated Karl Greyjoy - 52 Marco Gonzalez defeated Machine Gun Marino - 43 Captain Canada defeated Lonnie Vessey - 31 Bowden Snoop defeated Blue Dragon – 27 Derrick Crump defeated Astro – 31 Taylor Mitchell defeated Velocidad Jr – 22 OVERALL RATING: 49 Not bad and it was nice to see Big Jon thriving following his removal as Honest Frank Jr’s bodyguard. He needed more seasoning as a worker and from a pure visual POV Dreadnought was a better bodyguard type. Next time… the final build to the Salmboree…
  14. Prediction Results For EEE Supershow: Rip Chord Invitational 1. Dino Kea - 7/10 1. John Lions - 7/10 1. Scottie - 7/10 1. Theheel - 7/10 5. ToastyCenturion - 6/10 6. eayragt - 5/10 6. Herrbear -5/10 6. KyTeran - 5/10 Overall Prediction Standings 1. DinoKeo - 36/54 (67%) 2. John Lions - 35/54 (65%) 3. Theheel - 34/54 (63%) 4. KyTeran - 33/54 (61%) 5. Herrbear - 32/54 (60%) 6. eayragt - 30/54 (56%) 7. MisterRomanini - 24/34 (71%) 8. Scottie - 12/26 (46%) 9. ToastyCenturion - 6/10 (60%) 10. King Bison - 5/9 (56%) Very, very tough series of predictions in the last one; especially with the perhaps surprising winner of the Rip Chord AND the DQ end to the title match. I do feel a bit bad about that. But another series of decent predictions generally. DinoKea remains alone at the top overall after getting a tied victory with John Lions, Scottie and Theheel, although we are seeing a tiny bit of seperation.
  15. New York City… the Cross River Connection EXPLODE… EEE Supershow: The Rip Chord Invitational Challenge Sunday, Week 4, July 2024 Greenwalt Dome, New York City, New York Attendance: 47,279 RIP CHORD SEMI FINAL: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Aaron Andrews defeated Riley McManus in 9:46 by pinfall with a Flying Body Press. Rating: 74 Notes: Clean win for The Ace to move him back towards the top of the card and get his revenge against the Georgia Bulldog. Fabulous opener from to of our best ring generals and one which sees Andrews move into the finals. RIP CHORD SEMI FINAL: Valiant vs. Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Valiant defeated Trent Shaffer in 10:24 by count out. Rating: 76 Notes: Valiant is impervious to loss for now and Trent is a fading top-level star. There’s still juice in his character work and in-ring talents, but it’s unlikely he’ll ascend to the top without a drastic change to his popularity. He saw us through some of our best times and was about as much of a made man as it was possible to be. We’d look after him. SINGLES MATCH: Prime Time Jack Pryde vs. ‘The Perfect One’ Pepper Pelton In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Pepper Pelton defeated Prime Time Jack Pryde in 10:10 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Suplex after Billy Keelan interfered. Rating: 75 Notes: Unsurprisingly, these two not only have great chemistry as a tag team, but in singles competition too. This was great news for me as a booker, because we had such limited good chemistry that having it in two young stars with an in-built story could mean serious money. The Perfect One gets the win via cheating to continue his character overhaul and white hot momentum. GANG WARS MATCH: Angry Gilmore & The VCC vs. Crusher Toko & Samoan Wrecking Crew In a decent match, Angry Gilmore and The VCC defeated Crusher Toko and Samoan Wrecking Crew in 10:29 when JP Barnham submitted Loa Laki with a Golden Scissors. Rating: 61 Notes: With Bryan Vessey having taken control of the former Vessey Combat Club, they had been invigorated. The mini-push for the Samoans and Toko had not been as immediately successful as I had hoped. Not their fault, probably mine. But I just wasn’t buying them as a legitimate threat. Still as a lower card trio they served a purpose. EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Honest Frank Jr vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Honest Frank Jr in 10:08 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Charlie Corner makes defence number three of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 72 Notes: Despite being unbearably pleasant to Frank Jr in the build-up, Cali Cool happily cheats to win and retain his title. This feud has become a showcase of Frank Jr’s reaction to an opponent he cannot work out and they’re delivering beautifully on that. SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The Eagle defeated The Masked Mauler in 10:18 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 69 Notes: In the battle for the role of Heart and Soul of the company (whatever that means), it’s The Eagle who bests the Mauler in a decent little midcard match. Both buys were treading water slightly, so it’s good to have something to keep them busy and interesting to the audience. SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Monty Trescade In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Fro Sure defeated Monty Trescarde in 9:43 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 77 Notes: Great match as Fro Sure continues to show his worth in singles competition. Having rolled on from his feud with DWN he gets the absolute best out of Monty Trescarde and wins clean to boot. Bad times for Monty, but there’s always got to be a loser and he plays it better than most. EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. The Twin Powers (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated The Fantastic Express in 9:53 when Andrew Harper pinned Rafe Sashay following Stereo Powerbombs. The Twin Powers make defence number one of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 71 Notes: After a series of quickfire tag team title changes, it was good to get some stability and The Twin Powers are a great hoss heel tag team. The Fantastics can afford the loss while we rejig the tag team division following the loss of the Cross River Connection. Good match from them too. EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Davis Wayne Newton vs. ‘The Star’ George Trapesi (c) In an exceptional match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated George Trapesi in 21:52 by disqualification after wrestling a chair off of Newton behind the referee's back and hitting him as the referee wakes up. Rating: 81 Notes: DWN gets his win, but Trapesi keeps the title. Newton knew he had one shot, but we’re not ready for The Star to lose just yet. That being said; we’d been really impressed by Davis Wayne Newton’s ability to step up. He was an absolute natural for the main event. Rip Chord Invitational Final Valiant vs. Aaron Andrews In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Valiant defeated Aaron Andrews in 9:42 by pinfall with a V-Split following interference from Riley McManus. Valiant wins the Rip Chord Invitational Challenge. Rating: 80 Notes: The Bulldog vs. The Ace feud MUST continue. Valiant gets the big win and slaps his name on the trophy and is now heading towards Summer Slamboree to face George Trapesi for the EEE World Heavyweight Title. Another Face vs. Face showdown for a big event. Had we made a mistake, or more importantly; had I? OVERALL RATING: 79 Next time… Summer time and the living’s easy.

  17. New York City… where betraying your partner and best friend immediately puts you in the main event… We had two shows to go before the Rip Chord Supershow, and with all quiet on the news front, time flew into the third tv show of the month. EEE All Star Wrestling #23 Friday, Week 3, July 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,670 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. Spike Sylvain In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Valiant defeated Spike Sylvain in 10:09 by pinfall with a V-Split. Rating: 71 [*]ANGLE: Perfect Pepper Pelton is backstage with Thom Barrowman and he’s dressed in a flamboyant suit, with an earring of a title belt and more bleached hair. “Pep Pelton, what on Earth is going on with you at the moment?” Barrowman asks seriously. “Don’t call me that,” Pepper responds. “Pep is what my friends call me. You can call me The Perfect One; because that’s what I am.” “I don’t think your behaviour has been perfect recently. What do you have to say for yourself?” “Look, I get it. Prime Time’s a popular guy. But I was tired of him holding me back. We should never have been a team, with him doing everything in his power to overshadow me. But when you look like I do, wrestle like I do and live like I do, you can’t be caged for long.” “But you betrayed your best friend!” “Now listen humanoid,” says a voice off camera and Billy Keelan enters. “He doesn’t need Prime Time, he doesn’t need anyone. But he has taken the smart move of bringing me in as his agent. The days of seeing this megastar play second fiddle to that nobody are done. Speaking of which; I’ve got him a shot at the World Heavyweight Title, tonight.” “Good stuff Brain,” Pepper says. “Now you’re all going to see that I am what I say I am and that is; absolutely Perfect.” Rating: 87 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Alistair Shufflebottom vs. ‘The Stud’ Phil Anders In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Phil Anders defeated Alistair Shufflebottom in 8:24 by pinfall with a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Rating: 49 [*]ANGLE: The Eagle is backstage with Thom Barrowman. He knows The Mauler is in action shortly, but he’ll be watching closely. It’s time the two of them met and decided once and for all, who the real heart and soul of the company is. Rating: 64 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Porkchop Patterson vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Masked Mauler defeated Porkchop Patterson in 7:53 by submission with an Iron Claw. Rating: 50 [*]ANGLE: Billy Keelan is backstage talking to Monty Trescarde and neither man seems happy. Monty is tired of watching Fro Sure strut around the place like he owns it. At the Supershow he’s going to teach him a lesson that the only things that are inevitable are birth, death, Thanos and TAXES. Keelan has a warning to Trescarde too. He doesn’t represent losers. Don’t go the way of Shaffer and Minnesota. Rating: 86 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Bad News Barker In a good match, Fro Sure defeated Bad News Barker in 10:09 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 71 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton comes to ringside in an elaborate robe. He purposefully ignores the hands of the audience and joins the announce team. He wants to see what the champ has to offer. There’s always people buzzing around the title, but seeing as he’s busy on the night of the Rip Chord Invitational, the only way to make it to the main event, is to beat the champion at what has become his one shot. To be the man, you’ve got to beat the man. And he intends to do just that. Rating: 84 [*]EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Perfect Pepper Pelton vs. ‘The Star’ George Trapesi (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, George Trapesi defeated Perfect Pepper Pelton in 22:30 by pinfall with a Star Maker Lariat following interference from Prime Time Jack Pryde. George Trapesi makes defence number eleven of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 78 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time starts beating on Perfect with the fury of a thousand suns. All the pent up frustration spilling out as he destroys his former partner. Meanwhile the champion has been set upon by Davis Wayne Newton, obviously attacking to try and give himself an edge in their upcoming match. Rating: 87 [*]OVERALL RATING: 79 – 0.71 (532,766 viewers) Nice work all round, with a number of stories ticking along at a good pace. Onwards! EEE All Star Wrestling #24 Friday, Week 4, July 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,353 [*]ANGLE: We open with ‘The Star’ George Trapesi. Tonight he’s facing Davis Wayne Newton in a pick your partner tag team match. He knows that the Weasel Billy Keelan has already moved Perfect Pepper into the slot, so he can think of no one better to join him, than… Sabotage by The Beastie Boys… Prime Time Jack Pryde dressed in a New York Sentinels jersey and a backwards baseball cap appears. The two fist bump. Rating: 82 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The VCC vs. Spike Sylvain & Texas Hangman In a decent match, The VCC defeated Spike Sylvain and Texas Hangman in 7:59 when JP Barnham submitted Texas Hangman with a Golden Scissors. Rating: 59 [*]ANGLE: After the match, Bryan Vessey returns to acknowledge the success of the VCC and that he’s back and going to help them achieve what they haven’t yet. If they listen to him and do exactly what he says, he’ll lead them to top of the mountain. It won’t be easy, but he promises it will be worth it. Rating: 71 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Ben Williams vs. Dreadnought In a terrible match, Dreadnought defeated Ben Williams in 4:46 by pinfall with a Dread Bomb. Rating: 13 [*]ANGLE: Zippy and Rafe; The Fantastic Express in the ring. “Twin Towers,” Rafe begins. “We hear you like to throw your weight around. Well, that’s ok, we like to throw your weight around too. And Come the Rip Chord Invitational Supershow, we’re going to do what we are destined to do. Win tag team titles.” “You’re damn right Rafe,” Zippy agrees. “Seems to me, that it seems to be, The Twin Powers are the bullys of EEE. I don’t like bullies. I didn’t like that at High School in Kentucky and I don’t like em here.” “You were bullied in school?” Rafe asks. “Nope, they tried, but I broke the first one’s hand and from then everyone liked me.” “Hah, I was popular at school too. Nice. But anyway, Twin Powers, your time is up. And if that weasel Billy Keelan gets involved. Well, we’ll have to kick his teeth in too.” Rating: 77 [*]SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. William Jetterson In a decent match, The Eagle defeated William Jetterson in 8:06 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 60 [*]ANGLE: Backstage Valiant is chatting with Thom Barrowman when Shaffer jumps him from behind and beats him down. Ending with the message; “I’ll see you Sunday, chump!” Rating: 82 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Jason Patterson vs. Monty Trescarde In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Monty Trescarde defeated Jason Patterson in 8:07 by pinfall with a Cash Bonus. Rating: 57 [*]ANGLE: Honest Frank Jr is backstage with Dreadnought congratulating him on a successful debut. But he reminds him of the plan for Sunday. Honest Frank Jr exits with the gold, no matter what. Rating: 79 [*]ANGLE: After the match is over the whole Keelan Family storm the ring to attack, leaving Prime Time and Trapesi down. In the melee however Davis Wayne Newton is also hit and knocked out. Rating: 87 [*]OVERALL RATING: 80 – 0.71 (537,301 viewers) And with that we were ready to bring back a classic. 18. New York City… where tag team wrestling will never be the same again… End of an Era bagged us a decent 739,495 viewers while we made a super-healthy $591,845 profit for the month. With the big, twist ending dominating our planning and thoughts in the week after the show, I took some time with our admin and merchandising department to see what was happening and who was selling what. I was also keen to find out how the figures had improved, if at all, since the last time I checked. To say that the figures were shocking, would be an understatement: June Merchandise Figures: 1. Valiant - $516,271 (NEW) 2. Aaron Andrews - $47,222 (+$27,635) 3. George Trapesi - $32,933 (+$10,946) 4. Fro Sure - $26,125 (+$12,082) 5. Prime Time Jack Pryde - $24,206 (+$9,242) 6. Charlie Corner - $20,861 (NEW) 7. Angry Gilmore - $14,807 (+$4,635) 8. Perfect Pepper Pelton - $11,846 (+$1,840) 9. Emma Chase - $10,607 (+$0) 10. Trent Shaffer - $7,770 (+$1,777) Valiant’s popularity was greater than I imagined and I suddenly understood why Larry had wanted to keep him hot. The guys was out-selling people like nobodies business AND with a contract that only gave him 30% of the proceeds, EEE were absolutely racking it in. The only other thing of note really, was Charlie Corner’s sudden appearance in the charts. But after the couple of months he’s had that did at least make sense. With Starclash over and the follow-up show in the books, it was really time to start moving pieces around. I had thought Joey Minnesota would be a main event star for a few months, but I had now decided that he wasn’t and big changes needed to happen before our next Supershow. EEE All Star Wrestling #21 Friday, Week 1, July 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 10,915 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time Jack Pryde is out to Even Flow. He’s bandaged up and walking with a limp, but he’s got some things to say. “Y’know, I’ve been racking my mind for what the Hell happened at the weekend. As I remember it, we fought in an incredible match, we lost and then my best friend in all the world attacked me. I understand that temperature’s run high and Pep’s always had a short fuse. But it had to be a mistake didn’t it? Pep, come out and explain yourself.” No one answers his request and he leaves confused. Rating: 87 [*]GANG WARS MATCH: Bryan Jewett, Flip Simpkins & Chip Martin vs. Crusher Toko & Samoan Wrecking Crew In a poor match, Crusher Toko and Samoan Wrecking Crew defeated Bryan Jewett, Flip Simkins and Chip Martin in 10:30 when Loa Afu pinned Flip Simkins with an Archer Demolisher. Rating: 50 [*]ANGLE: Backstage Riley McManus is being interviewed by Thom Barrowman. He’s delighted at his victory against The Ace. He’s pretty sure that makes him the number one contender to the title now. He’s looking forward to beating Trapesi back to the midcard. He looks shocked and angry to hear that Davis Wayne Newton is the Number One Contender, when out of nowhere Aaron Andrews attacks and beats down the Georgia Bulldog. Rating: 89 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Aaron Andrews vs. Texas Hangman In a decent match, Aaron Andrews defeated Texas Hangman in 11:35 by pinfall with a Flying Body Press. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: Charlie Corner is giving a pre-match interview, when he’s approached by Honest Frank Jr and Dreadnought. Honest Frank Jr said he wanted a title shot and he thinks it’s now time. Dreadnought leans in to intimidate, causing Corner to say ‘Easy there big fella.’ Corner has a match for tonight, but he’s a fighting champion and if it’s important to Frank, he can have a shot at the next Supershow? Frank looks confused at how relaxed Corner seems. Rating: 79 [*]EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: William Jetterson vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a decent match, Charlie Corner defeated William Jetterson in 12:14 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter. Charlie Corner makes defence number two of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 61 [*]ANGLE: Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan leads out The Twin Powers. They’ve been as good as their word. They didn’t interfere at the love-in tag title, end of an era nonsense. But they have a title shot and they’re cashing it in tonight. The Biggins Boys come out and they’re both looking beaten and bruised. Especially Bart who is hobbling. They respect the rules of combat and accept the match. Rating: 81 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Angry Gilmore vs. Spike Sylvain In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Angry Gilmore defeated Spike Sylvain in 9:43 by pinfall with an Anger Management. Rating: 66 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The Twin Powers vs. The Biggins Boys (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated The Biggins Boys in 9:56 when Andrew Harper pinned Bart Biggins following Stereo Powerbombs. The Twin Powers win the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 78 [*]ANGLE: After the match is over, The Twin Powers continue the demolition of The Biggins Boys. They set-up tables, which draws out Prime Time Jack Pryde and The Fantastic Express. Once they hit the ring, Perfect Pepper Pelton comes out carrying a chair. He gets into the ring and stands next to Prime Time, slaps him on the chest and nods. Prime Time smiles as the Cross River Connection and The Fantastic Express line-up side-by-side to face down The Twin Powers. They step forward, but Prime Time notices Pepper hasn’t joined them, he turns as his former partner blasts him in the head with the chair. In the confusion, The Twin Powers attack The Fantastic Express, beating them down. With Pepper on the side of the Keelan Family, they pick up Bart and Brett and smash them through the tables before celebrating at the carnage around them. Rating: 85 [*]OVERALL RATING: 80 – 0.72 (541,375 viewers) And the heel turn is complete. The crowd’s reaction to Pep’s betrayal was wonderful and exactly what I wanted and having him and Prime Time on opposite sides gives us and them the opportunity to grow as workers. Speaking of growth; Charlie Corner, following his incredible recent success has been hard at work in the gym and now looks far more muscular than his previous toned look. It made him more intimidating… maybe I did have a thing about body shape. The night after the show was Supreme Challenge 44 and I watched as Nicky Champion won the SWF World Heavyweight Title in a fantastic match with Jay Chord. The son of the legend was almost the top worker I’d love to one day have on the roster. But we were nowhere near big enough to sign him yet. And in fairness our main event talent was arguably as good as any of the big US companies. EEE All Star Wrestling #22 Friday, Week 2, July 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,270 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Garry the Entertainer vs. Davis Wayne Newton In a decent match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Garry The Entertainer in 11:48 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Suplex. Rating: 71 [*]ANGLE: ‘The Star’ George Trapesi is out to congratulate the Canadian Hero DWN on a hard-fought victory. But winning at the start of a show is different to winning at the end of a show. And at the next Supershow, he’s going to teach DWN a valuable lesson. Rating: 83 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Stevie Stanley vs. Crusher Toko In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Crusher Toko defeated Stevie Stanley in 9:33 by pinfall with a Brainbuster Suplex. Rating: 53 [*]ANGLE: Backstage Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer are arguing with Thom Barrowman about who decided to give their number one contenders slot to the Canadian? Thom Barrowman mentions the Powers That Be, but Trent and Riley quickly start bringing up their history together, notably McManus tossing Shaffer out of the Empire Royale. While they’re arguing, Valiant and Aaron Andrews appear and before they can brawl it descends into an argument about who deserves a title shot. Rating: 87 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. Honest Frank Jr In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Honest Frank Jr defeated Bradley Blaze in 11:54 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: Charlie Corner, whose been on commentary for Honest Frank Jr’s match was very complimentary about his opponent. With Frank Jr in the ring, Corner gets in. Dreadnought moves to defend, but Corner puts his hands up to calm the monster down. He offers a handshake to Frank, who tentatively accepts. Corner then looks at the hard camera and poses as if it were a photo. He then high-fives Frank Jr and leaves. Rating: 87 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. The Razorbacks In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated The Razorbacks in 12:17 when Rafe Sashay pinned Jamarr Green with a Forward Russian Legsweep. Rating: 58 [*]ANGLE: After the match, The Twin Powers strike and deliver a vicious beatdown to The Fantastic Express. Rating: 84 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: Aaron Andrews & Valiant vs. Riley McManus & Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Aaron Andrews and Valiant drew with Riley McManus and Trent Shaffer in 10:03 following a double disqualification. Rating: 80 [*]ANGLE: With all four men brawling in the ring. Sam Keith appears holding a familiar trophy. “You all have a claim at the next shot at the World Heavyweight Title. So to settle matters, at the end of this month we’re going to have a four-man tournament in honour of one of the greatest to ever lace his boots. You four will compete in the RIP CHORD INVITATIONAL CHALLENGE. Winner gets the trophy and a title shot at Summer Salmboree.” Rating: 90 [*]OVERALL RATING: 81 – 0.72 (542,912 viewers) Having revealed Sam Keith as a natural authority figure and of course the man formerly responsible for the Rip Chord Invitational too made sense in the internal logic of our company. I hopped in the limo and headed downtown for my monthly visit to our child company. NYCW Rumble in the Bronx 2024 The Ministry, New York City 1,000 (SOLD OUT!?!) Joey Minnesota & Big Jon Walker defeated Ray Snow & Denny King – 60 Sandman Winks defeated Marco Gonzalez to retain the NYCW Nationwide Title – 51 Jay Silver defeated Machine Gun Marino – 40 Captain Canada defeated Leonardo Fry – 40 Christian Plotcheck defeated Astro – 38 Bowden Snoop defeated Karl Greyjoy – 38 Taylor Mitchell defeated Blue Dragon – 31 Benjamin Reeves defeated Lonnie Vessey – 25 OVERALL RATING: 56 Good show from Mauler and Sanders here. Joey Minnesota was not particularly happy about being sent down there. But he because the de facto top star and could work with the next generation to shape them, hopefully, into a star like him. This marked the debut of a distant cousin of Larry and Bryan’s called Lonnie. Lonnie was a sweet kid, with… limited in-ring talent and barely noticeable charisma. He was also a hardcore specialist. But nothing is more important than family. So curtain-jerking on a minimum handshake deal was as far as I was willing to go in his development. Next time… we continue to build to the Rip Chord Invitational and Perfect Pepper Pelton gets a World Title shot…

Scottie - 5/16 (31%) Massive congratulations to MisterRomanini who gets the perfect score having predicted the card exactly, top-to-bottom. That combined with his pick percentage means he's the most 'in my head' as we've come along so far. Special note to John Lions whose description and reasoning were nearly flawless, with only really the bold draw in the Title match letting him down. And finally a congratulations to DinoKea who takes the lead, whose calculations were also superb. Finally commiserations to eayragt who continues the streak of never getting the tag team titles correct. I confidently predict next months will be a very tough one to pick.
  21. New York City… where for the last time ever, three of the greatest teams in our history battle it out for all the marbles… EEE Supershow: End of an Era Sunday, Week 4, June 2024 Greenwalt Dome, New York City, New York Attendance: 47,089 20-MAN BATTLE ROYAL: In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Crusher Toko won a battle royal in 10:23. The other members of the 'final four' were Stevie Stanley, Loa Laki and Loa Afu, with Stevie Stanley being the final elimination. Dreadnought got the most eliminations over the course of the match. Rating: 60 Notes: A good opportunity to showcase Dreadnought’s power and impressive talent, while giving a boost to Toko and the Samoan Wrecking Crew. Plus it gets everyone a pay day. EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: The Masked Mauler vs. Charlie Corner (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated The Masked Mauler in 9:55 by pinfall with a Corner Cutter. Charlie Corner makes defence number one of the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 67 Notes: Cali Cool was never losing here against his long-time rival. He’s just got the title and he’s the hot hand of the promotion. So hot in fact that he’s verging on being a main event level worker already, which could only help the prestige of the Intercontinental Title, which suffered a bit after the Hagman injury. Decent little match from these two. SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. Phil Anders In a bout that had good heat but sub-par wrestling, The Eagle defeated Phil Anders in 10:07 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 47 Notes: Ouch. These two obviously don’t click as Phil Anders looks set to become the unluckiest man on the roster. Each time we position him for a potential character-building moment, his opponent bests him or the universe rejects him. We hadn’t given up on him yet. But we needed to find something for him to achieve or go after. GANG WARS MATCH: Bradley Blaze & The VCC vs. Monty Trescarde & The Twin Powers In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, Monty Trescarde, Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Andrew Harper defeated Bradley Blaze and The VCC in 10:24 when Monty Trescarde pinned Bradley Blaze with a Cash Bonus. Rating: 65 Notes: Another fairly obvious result in a string of them as Blaze lets the face team down. The VCC’s momentum was struggling ever since they officially changed their name and dropped Larry as their manager. But the two were impressive specimens who can stand toe-to-toe with The Twin Powers. But they were lacking something, that indefinable thing to get them over the hump. SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Davis Wayne Newton In an exceptional match, Davis Wayne Newton defeated Fro Sure in 10:16 by submission with a STF after blatantly cheating. Rating: 80 Notes: Quite possibly the future of our main event scene deliver and then some in a match with a screwy ending. The crowd were buzzing off of this match and I was too. DWN gets the win, making sure he cheated to set-up the ending. That works twofold; he gets the win, and Fro Sure gains some sympathy in defeat. I was still mildly concerned that Fro Sure could up and go on tour with his band at any moment, which is what has somewhat held him back in the past. But with a couple of years with no tour, it might be time to elevate and see what he can bring to the big matches. SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. Honest Frank Jr In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Valiant defeated Honest Frank Jr in 9:49 by count out. Rating: 71 Notes: Larry had approached me before the show to remind me that we had to keep Valiant at a certain level of popularity. So he gets the win over our rising star, but we worked our way around it by having Valiant be dominant, but Honest Frank Jr deciding that discretion is the better part of valour and he walked out causing an intentional count out. Thus regaining any lost heat immediately. He’s such a wonderfully a-hole heel, especially now that he’s got Dreadnought backing him up. Valiant was an interesting dilemma to have. He was comfortably the most popular worker on the roster, with a legendary Patriotic American gimmick. But he also was older than most of our top stars and lacked the stamina to last in matches longer than about ten minutes. Perhaps we should look to elevate him to the Title scene as a test? SINGLES MATCH: Angry Gilmore vs. Trent Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and decent wrestling, Trent Shaffer defeated Angry Gilmore in 9:49 by pinfall with a Heart Burn. Rating: 65 Notes: Sometimes the dastardly heel just straight-up beats the face. And Angry Gilmore was going downhill fast in terms of his in-ring work. He’d been such a fantastic worker for us for so long that we’d prolonged his career at his request and frankly he was still bringing enough goodness to keep that roll going. SINGLES MATCH: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Aaron Andrews in 21:40 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex after Fern Hathaway interfered. Rating: 78 Notes: The former number one contender falls even further as The Georgia Bulldog gets a solid win, even with Fern-a-ference. This should hopefully increase the blood feud nature of their storyline together and make the blow-off even more satisfying. It helped that they delivered a fantastic match in the process. EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Joey Minnesota vs. ‘The Star’ George Trapesi (c) In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, George Trapesi defeated Joey Minnesota in 10:16 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. George Trapesi makes defence number ten of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 71 Notes: The Star brings out the Uber-finisher to beat Minnesota clean. Confession time, my soft spot for Minnesota may have blinded me to his actual value. He has proven himself as a solid worker, if a little lacking in stamina. But the idea that he’s an immediate main event level worker has been disproven. In fact, he’s been so disappointing, I’ve decided to go a completely different way with the main event. A head booker who cannot adapt as the situation changes is no use to anyone. And I can admit it when I’m wrong. END OF AN ERA MATCH EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH The Biggins Boys vs. The Fantastic Express vs. Cross River Connection (c) Three of Empire Elite Entertainment’s best ever tag teams meet in a match-up the audience have seen many times over the last three years. This is the full-stop on a long-running feud which has defined the division and in many ways, our promotion since we began the climb. At this point, all three can lay claim to being the top team, each with a glittering resume of accomplishments and big wins. The build-up has seen The Biggins Boys looking for one last glory, while the Cross River Connection are the champions trying to prove their worthy of the gold despite some issues between them and The Fantastic Express have been undergoing a transformation from douchebag heels, to somewhat loveable, cocky youngsters. The mixture of feelings is experienced and demonstrated by the crowd who cheer all three teams during their entrances and begin a ‘This is Awesome’ chant before anyone’s even done a move. The action, as you might imagine, is fast-paced, fluid and while lacking in psychology more than makes up for it with wow moves. Bart plays your ‘Face-in-Peril’ role throughout as each team takes it in turns to beat on him as the weak link of the six. But The Biggins Boys are consummate professionals and never give-up despite the punishment. Unable to keep up the pace for long, the three teams exchange incredible high-flying moves with one another. Then with all six men in the ring, a lot happens in quick succession. Pep holds Rafe Sashay from behind as Prime Time lines up a Super Kick, but Rafe ducks at the last minute and Prime Time accidentally kicks Pep in the head, knocking him out of the ring. Rafe takes the moment of shock to hit a shining wizard on Prime Time, but is then bundled out of the ring by Brett who is looking to brawl. Zippy sees his partner being attacked and bonuces off the ropes and hurls himself over the top rope onto Rafe and Brett, which leaves an exhausted Bart and a wobbly-legged Prime Time in the ring. Seeming to get his bearings, Prime Time grabs Bart in a front headlock, but Bart drops to his knees and delivers a crushing low blow, then hooks Prime Time’s legs and rolls forward with the last of his energy into a bridging pin, as the referee counts 1-2-3 to the delight of the crowd. In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Biggins Boys defeated The Fantastic Express and Cross River Connection in 10:25; when Bart Biggins pinned Prime Time Jack Pryde following a low blow and a bridging pin. The Biggins Boys win the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 77 ANGLE: With the crowd chanting ‘Your Deserve It’ to The Biggins Boys; The Fantastic Express get in the ring looking like they’re ready for a fight. Then, instead of attacking they offer a handshake to the new champions to the delight of the crowd. Prime Time and Pep then approach the champions. Prime Time offers a handshake, but Pep snaps and delivers a heavy double-clotheslines. The Fantastic Express jump back into the ring and Pep viciously assaults them too. Prime Time then pulls Pep off when he looks to continue beating the downed men in the ring and the two have an argument. Prime Time is pleading with Pep, whose face is contorted with rage. Finally Prime Time yells “What are you doing?” and Pep gives him one last look, mouths ‘I’m sorry’ and then spears his own partner in half. With Prime Time unable to defend himself Pep kneels over him and punches him in the head again and again. With the assault finally over, Perfect Pepper Pelton gets out the ring as the crowd throws things at him and he just flips them off and keeps walking. Rating: 82 OVERALL RATING: 76 And that, is how you do that? Next time… is this the end of the Cross River Connection?...

  24. New York City… home of the greatest tag team trio in the world… I’d spoken with Sam Keith backstage and we’d agreed that the tag team triple threat match should go on last at the next Supershow (which we’d dubbed ‘End of an Era’). The teams of Cross River Connection, The Biggins Boys and The Fantastic Express had given us so much in our climb to the top already, it was the least we could do. But there was still two shows to go before then and we had a card to fill out. EEE All Star Wrestling #19 Friday, Week 3, June 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,231 [*]ANGLE: Joey Minnesota is out and he’s looking forward to some action. At the next Supershow, he intends to beat Trapesi senseless and reclaim his spot at the very top of professional wrestling. He’s been a World Champion before, but it’s time to prove once again why he’s the absolute best. This brings out George Trapesi who simply says, “You want it, come get it!” Rating: 90 [*]EEE WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: Flip Simpkins & Stevie Stanley vs. Cross River Connection (c) In a decent match, Cross River Connection defeated Flip Simkins and Stevie Stanley in 11:35 when Perfect Pepper Pelton pinned Flip Simkins with a Prime Time Perfection. Cross River Connection make defence number one of the EEE World Tag Team. Rating: 50 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bryan Jewett vs. ‘The Stud’ Phil Anders In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Phil Anders defeated Bryan Jewett in 10:27 by pinfall with a Hangman's Neckbreaker. Rating: 41 [*]ANGLE: The Eagle is backstage with Barrowman and he’s looking for The Masked Mauler because he’s got a score to settle. But no one has seen The Mauler this week. Eagle continues his search. Rating: 68 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Garry the Entertainer vs. Honest Frank Jr In a decent match, Honest Frank Jr defeated Garry The Entertainer in 11:43 by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage. Rating: 57 [*]ANGLE: Honest Frank Jr has seen Corner has gone and won the Intercontinental Title and he wants to be first in line for a shot after Corner has beaten Mauler. Until then, he and his new bodyguard has some Hell to raise. He introduces the world to the man watching his back… Dreadnought. Rating: 78 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Valiant vs. William Jetterson In a decent match, Valiant defeated William Jetterson in 9:35 by pinfall with a V-Split. Rating: 65 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time and Perfect Pepper are back out to join the announce team to watch the showdown between The Biggins Boys and The Twin Powers. They hope to see the Biggins win, but they know just how tough and strong the challengers are. Rating: 86 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The Biggins Boys vs. The Twin Powers In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Biggins Boys defeated The Twin Powers in 9:54 when Andrew Harper was disqualified while fighting Bart Biggins. Rating: 74 [*]OVERALL RATING: 76 – 0.69 (521,691 viewers) George Trapesi’s “You want it, come get it!” catchphrase in that show appears to have taken off online. We’ve leapt into action and stuck it on t-shirts and the hope is that it will sell a lot of merchandise. Over in the Confederation of the Territories, Americana Jr won the COTT World Heavyweight Title, which was certainly a way to go. But the biggest news was the return to wrestling of Buddy Garner who signed a contract with the new company; Pro Wrestling Max. Good for all involved I say, especially as we didn’t need him. It’s so easy to be magnanimous when you don’t care. Finally, Bryan Vessey had agreed to his contract and was coming home to bolster our already awesome group of Road Agents. EEE All Star Wrestling #20 Friday, Week 4, June 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 10,700 [*]ANGLE: ‘The Star’ George Trapesi is out. He’s getting sick and tired of old names coming back and trying to rekindle some old careers at the expense of the new generation. So Joey Minnesota… you used to be a name around here. And now, now you’re not. But he’ll give the broken down has-been a shot at the gold. “You want it, come get it!” Rating: 89 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Bradley Blaze vs. ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus In a bout that had good heat and decent wrestling, Riley McManus defeated Bradley Blaze in 8:53 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: 66 [*]ANGLE: Fro Sure is having a great time. Sure he missed out on some Gold, but he’s got enough bling for the time being. But at End of an Era, he is going to beat Davis Wayne Newton. Rating: 81 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The VCC vs. Samoan Wrecking Crew In a decent match, Samoan Wrecking Crew defeated The VCC in 8:17 when Loa Afu pinned JP Barnham with an Archer Demolisher. Rating: 58 [*]ANGLE: After the match the Samoan Wrecking Crew, along with Crusher Toko deliver a vicious beatdown on The VCC. Rating: 57 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Texas Hangman In a decent match, Fro Sure defeated Texas Hangman in 8:28 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 64 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time and Perfect Pepper are playing video games backstage. “You ready Prime Time?” “Born ready Pep. It’s going to be a tough match, but we know The Biggins and The Fantastics better than anyone. And I know you’re going to say that they know us better than anyone and you’re not wrong. But history has shown when the time comes, the Cross River Connection step up and deliver. We’ve been through too much not to take home the win. More than anything, I want to do something memorable, something better than anything that’s come before. This is our chance to deliver the match of our careers and cement our place as the best team in all of professional wrestling. I want you to know, that I wouldn’t be where I am without you. We have always been better together than apart. So while it’ll be tough. I really am ready Pep. Ready to make history.” Perfect looks at Prime Time and says, “I meant are you ready for pizza?” “Oh… yeah I could go for pizza.” “Sweet.” Rating: 80 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Jason Patterson vs. Monty Trescarde In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but terrible wrestling, Monty Trescarde defeated Jason Patterson in 7:33 by pinfall with a Cash Bonus. Rating: 49 [*]ANGLE: We cut backstage to The Biggins Boys, who are stretching. “How you feeling Bart?” “Been better.” “Leg still causing you issues?” “Leg, knees, hips, back and neck. I’m in a bit a pain.” “You going to be ready for the match at the weekend?” “I always am.” “One last push baby brother. One last chance to prove that we are the best tag team.” The brothers fist-bump. Rating: 82 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Aaron ‘The Ace’ Andrews vs. Trent ‘The Talent’ Shaffer In a bout that had fantastic heat and great wrestling, Aaron Andrews drew with Trent Shaffer in 22:03 following a double count out as the two brawl towards the entrance. Rating: 79 [*]ANGLE: After the match Andrews and Shaffer continue to brawl, which draws out Riley McManus to attack The Ace. Trapesi makes the save, but is jumped by The Keelan Family, leading to; Cross River Connection, The Fantastic Express and The Biggins Boys. The three teams unite to fight away The Twin Powers. Rating: 88 [*]OVERALL RATING: 81 – 0.71 (532,657 viewers) Love a big schmozz ending. So we were ready for our first major event headlined by a triple threat tag team match. 25. New York City… where the people are beautiful… and dumb… Former multi-time EEE World Heavyweight Champion and salami-juggling champion Brutus Milano reappeared in our lives in the most Brutus way possible. He’d been online making some pretty wild political comments. The reaction had been predictably terrible, at least as terrible as the comments themselves. I’d always known Brutus was prone to believing everything he read, but judging by his commentary, he must’ve been reading some horrific stuff. What had appeared to be a storm in a teacup had now escalated resulting in USPW having to distance themselves from him and he in turn deactivating his social media accounts. Funnily enough, he’d been on something of a hot streak teaming alongside fellow former-NYCW alumni Richie ‘The Body’ Riggins. They were both currently adorning Joker-like face paint and were playing anarchist, insane asylum inmates in a team called The Psycho Circus. A look at their matches over the last two months had shown them winning every match their in. I had to admit, I would never have thought to do that myself. Fair play to USPW. With the big show in the books and a number of storylines having reached their natural conclusion, it was time to start rearranging the pecking order and moving new players into new stories. We had a nostalgic debut lined up who’d step into the main event and it was time to push the boundaries of what others had achieved to this point. EEE All Star Wrestling #17 Friday, Week 1, June 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 11,303 [*]ANGLE: George Trapesi starts the show and immediately calls out Aaron Andrews. He respects the Hell out of his opponents performance at Starclash. They said they’d set the wrestling world alight. And they did. The two shake hands as Slaves and Bulldozers plays. Here come The Twin Powers, Monty Trescarde and Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan. Keelan takes the mic. He’s disappointed that his Family took all the losses. It told him that he wasn’t doing things right. That there was a missing ingredient and he’s realised what it is. So last night he put in a call and signed the hottest free agent to The Keelan Family… Slither by Velvet Revolver starts to play… Here is Joey Minnesota. The Keelan Family charge the ring and attack. Valiant appears from the back to try to make the save, but Minnesota hits the Empire Spiral on him to announce his arrival. Rating: 85 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The Fantastic Express vs. Ben Williams & Bryan Jewett In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Fantastic Express defeated Ben Williams and Bryan Jewett in 11:49 when Rafe Sashay pinned Ben Williams with a Fantastic Flashbang. Rating: 56 [*]ANGLE: ‘The Georgia Bulldog’ Riley McManus is backstage with Thom Barrowman and he’s asked why he didn’t get involved in what happened at the top of the show. McManus is not an idiot it seems. He’s not going to get himself embroiled in that nonsense. He wants one thing… the EEE World Heavyweight Title and he’s going to do everything to get it. But he’s going to be smart about it. Rating: 89 [*]SINGLES MATCH: The Eagle vs. William Jetterson In a decent match, The Eagle defeated William Jetterson in 12:11 by pinfall with a Freedom Slam. Rating: 62 [*]ANGLE: Prime Time and Perfect are backstage with Thom Barrowman when The Biggins Boys approach. They won the Stomper Memorial, so they want the title shot. But then The Fantastic Express appear having won already tonight and they think they deserve a shot too. “Why?” Pepper asks and the don’t have an answer. After some bickering, Prime Time puts his hands up and says: “Guys, guys, GUYS! How cool is it that we’re all still doing this, after all this time?” The Biggins and the Fantastics reluctantly agree that it is. So Prime Time has a suggestion. “Why don’t we do it one last time, for old times sake, because let’s be honest Bart is a few days from retirement.” “Hey!” Bart responds offended. “Bro,” Brett interrupts. “Come on.” “Still, you don’t say it.” “As I was saying,” Prime Time continues. “Cross River Connection vs. The Biggins Boys vs. The Fantastic Express for the gold at the next big show?” The other teams agree. “You sure that’s a good idea?” Pepper asks. “It’s a great idea Pep.” Rating: 83 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Fro Sure vs. Texas Hangman In a decent match, Fro Sure defeated Texas Hangman in 11:43 by pinfall with a Sure Thing. Rating: 63 [*]ANGLE: The Eagle is now with Thom Barrowman and he’s feeling good. The Heart and Soul of the company lives to fight another day and the tiresome accountant is defeated. At this point The Masked Mauler enters, chanting Heart and Soul. The Eagle thanks him for his support and Mauler applies The Iron Claw, knocking Eagle out before marching off again chanting Heart and Soul. Rating: 70 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Jason Patterson vs. The Masked Mauler In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, The Masked Mauler defeated Jason Patterson in 10:26 by pinfall with a Piledriver. Rating: 56 [*]ANGLE: Davis Wayne Newton hits the ring. He’s only gone and done the impossible. He defended his Intercontinental Title against the talented loud-mouth Fro Sure. Normally he’d be celebrating in his balcony with a nice Pinot Noir, but he wanted to share his joy with all of the lazy underachievers who’ve never won a thing in their life… California Love starts playing… and here’s Charlie Corner. He tells DWN that he’s on a role at the moment. He’s beaten Shaffer, Gilmore and The Stud and he fancies a shot at a title. So they should fight, next week. DWN puts his hand up and says “Before I agree to anything… who are you?” “I’m Cali Cool Charlie Corner.” “Welcome to EEE new guy, normally you have to earn a shot at the champ.” “I’ve been here four years.” “Sure you have rookie. But lucky for you I’m feeling generous. Next week, I’ll make you famous.” Rating: 82 [*]GANG WARS MATCH: George Trapesi, Aaron Andrews & Valiant vs. The Keelan Family (Joey Minnesota & The Twin Powers) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, The Keelan Family (Joey Minnesota, Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Andrew Harper) defeated George Trapesi, Valiant and Aaron Andrews in 10:03 when Joey Minnesota pinned Aaron Andrews with an Empire Spiral after Billy Keelan interfered. Rating: 80 [*]OVERALL RATING: 80 – 0.71 (533,460 viewers) After the show, I gave a quick speech to the boys, when Valiant approached me. “Hey boss,” he started. “Just checking you’re ok with me joining CZCW for their next show?” “Errr, not really. Is this my way of saying that you’ve signed somewhere else? Because I don’t think that’s how exclusive written contracts work.” “No,” he laughed. “On a COTT loan.” “We’re not part of the COTT anymore,” I said. “I’m pretty sure we are.” “…” After an emergency meeting with Larry, Sam and Thom it turned out that our administration department had not actually ever sent the documents through to cancel our place in the alliance. Sam agreed to jump in his personal private jet and go to them directly to explain the situation. I’d be damned if a company almost identical in size to us was going to pinch one of our most over workers for a show. Having sorted that out, I asked our digital team to get a profile of our newest star onto the website: Joey Minnesota Entrance Music: Slither by Velvet Revolver A man known for his vicious in-ring style and even more vicious tongue; Joey Minnesota is a man with a long history. The veteran made his name in NYCW and is actually a multiple-time EEE World Heavyweight Champion, from back when it was called the NYCW Empire Title. Having jumped around in other major promotions around the world, he has returned home alongside Agent to the Stars Billy ‘The Brain’ Keelan, to reclaim the title which made him famous. EEE All Star Wrestling #18 Friday, Week 2, June 2024 The Empire Ballroom, New York City, New York Attendance: 10,676 [*]ANGLE: ‘The Star’ George Trapesi is out with Cheerleader Nicki. He’s a fighting champion. A man of honour and tonight, he’s willing to put the World Heavyweight Title on the line against any challenger. The rock version of O Canada plays and here comes the Canadian Hero from Toronto, Ontario, Canada… Davis Wayne Newton. Dressed in a suit, with shades he breezes past Trapesi without even acknowledging him. He then stops to wink at Nicki before grabbing a microphone. He says tonight he’s giving some Make a Wish Kid called Charlie Corner the wish of a lifetime by facing him in the ring for his Intercontinental Title. Once he’s defended that, he might go for another title. He then spots the World Heavyweight Championship over Trapesi’s shoulder. DWN introduces himself and asks who Trapesi is holding the title for. The World Champ delivers a sudden an unexpected Star Maker Lariat, leaving DWN knocked out. Rating: 91 [*]EEE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: The Masked Mauler vs. ‘The Star’ Gerorge Trapesi (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, George Trapesi defeated The Masked Mauler in 10:19 by pinfall with a Star Maker Lariat. George Trapesi makes defence number nine of the EEE World Heavyweight. Rating: 75 [*]ANGLE: Thom Barrowman is backstage with the Samoan Wrecking Crew. Both have new gear and look more muscular. Barrowman mentions that they asked for an interview. What is it they want to talk about? Loa Afu says they’ve been here long enough to know that if you’re not blond-haired and blue-eyed then you get passed over. They also know that being a tag team without support won’t work either. But luckily, they now have support. Crusher Toko enters, says something in Maori, fist-bumps the Wrecking Crew and they leave. Rating: 61 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Chip Martin vs. Crusher Toko In a bout that had a decent reaction from the crowd but sub-par wrestling, Crusher Toko defeated Chip Martin in 7:32 by pinfall with a Brainbuster Suplex. Rating: 49 [*]ANGLE: Billy Keelan is backstage and he cuts off Barrowman before he can ask any questions. He thinks it’s outrageous that his men; The Twin Powers were robbed of the titles by those cheating Cross River Connection. And then, they don’t even invite the Powers to use their rematch. That’s because they’re scared… all of them. So to all three of the loser teams in this so called match, they’re going to challenge one of them to take their spot. The Biggins Boys are on hand to accept the match in two weeks. Keelan is then keen to note that WHEN they get into the triple threat match, they’re going to keep the rematch clause in their pockets. Rating: 90 [*]TAG TEAM MATCH: The VCC vs. The Twin Powers In a bout that had great heat and decent wrestling, The Twin Powers defeated The VCC in 7:47 when Andrew Harper pinned JP Barnham with a Stereo Powerbombs. Rating: 69 [*]ANGLE: Angry Gilmore is with Barrowman and he’s angry. Angry about the state of the economy. Angry about Italian-Americans thinking they know politics and more than anything angry that the Keelan Family seem to be ignoring the fact that he beat one of their number at Starclash. So he’s on the hunt for another one of them. But first he’s going to finish off Honest Frank Jr’s bodyguard. Trent Shaffer appears beside him; The Talent says that if he’s gunning for the Keelan Family, he’s still got some scores to settle. Gilmore looks Shaffer in the eye and slowly says… I don’t like you. Rating: 84 [*]SINGLES MATCH: Angry Gilmore vs. Big Jon Walker In a bout that had good heat but sub-par wrestling, Angry Gilmore defeated Big Jon Walker in 6:24 by pinfall with an Anger Management. Rating: 60 [*]ANGLE: After the match Honest Frank Jr gets in the ring and starts yelling at Big Jon. He doesn’t like losers being associated with him. Jon gets angry, so Frank Jr low blows him and beats him down with a chair. Rating: 86 [*]EEE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: Charlie Corner vs. Davis Wayne Newton (c) In a bout that had fantastic heat and good wrestling, Charlie Corner defeated Davis Wayne Newton in 19:47 by pinfall with a handful of tights. Charlie Corner wins the EEE Intercontinental. Rating: 76 [*]OVERALL RATING: 79 – 0.70 (526,375 viewers) What a fantastic win for California Cool Charlie Corner as he uses the same tactics made famous by DWN to get the upset win and the title belt. Corner was finally shifting into the phase of his career where he is cashing in on the potential we’ve seen in him for so long. And all it took was a little faith from a couple of our main event stars. The other big news from the show was Honest Frank Jr effectively firing Big Jon Walker. We’d be sending him to NYCW to help polish his skills before bringin him back to the main roster. We also had Crusher Toko (Sione from MAW) debut and to give a little boost to the Samoan Wrecking Crew. We’d dabble with their characters a bit and give them all a try-out. Crusher Toko Entrance Music: Waka Maori by Waka Maori Gang The first native Maori superstar in Empire Elite Entertainment history; Crusher Toko has already made a big impact in the United States and now brings that raw fire and fury to New York City. Already aligning himself with the powerhouse team of Loa Afu and Loa Laki; Crusher hopes to make a big name for himself and to fight back against the oppression and violence he’s seen in his life so far. His plan is to do that by destroying all the blond-haired, blue-eyed superstars who’ve been given breaks he and his people never have. As I was in the limo downtown to the NYCW Summer in the City show, Larry called me. Apparently Bryan Vessey’s contract with CZCW was coming up for renewal and he’d already send across a counter-offer. We’d lost out on the legendary Vessey brother once before to Cliff Anderson, we weren’t about to do it again. Hopefully he’d mellowed out a bit since his last stay, although that seemed unlikely. NYCW Summer in the City 2024 The Ministry, New York City 1,000 (SOLD OUT!?) Denny King defeated Dreadnought – 58 The Historian defeated Geoff Borne – 58 Ray Snow defeated Crockett Tubbs – 55 Sandman Winks defeated Stevie Stanley to retain the NYCW Nationwide Title – 55 The Wild Dogs defeated The Latino Kings to retain the NYCW Tag Team Titles – 51 Stan Manna defeated Leonardo Fry – 32 Taylor Mitchell defeated Astro – 32 Benjamin Reeves defeated Flip Simpkins – 45 OVERALL RATING: 56 Not a bad show overall and I liked most of the pairings and the results. Denny King was having something of a career revival down in NYCW and I loved it. Next time… Joey Minnesota raises some Hell and a new World Heavyweight champion is crowned…
