  1. Cheers Adam, so you're telling me there's a chance..... Seriously though that's all I wanted to hear, that mechanically its feasible without knowing too much. Having an absolute blast with this save BTW most fun I've had in a GDS game. Cheers.
  2. Can I save Brian Pillman? So I started as Bruce Hart (Curse you OSW for making me love this man) in Jan 92 reopening Stampede and we have had an incredible couple of years and are starting to steal some talent from the bigger guys, broke the bank slightly for Pillman because narratively it felt right and I really wanted to change how things went, for the better. So in the 6 months he's been here Pillman has just been beyond all my expectations, hot move, hot catchphrase, everything he's in is utter gold. I was struggling a little to get anyone to break that 70 pop barrier, Pillman has hit 80 in some areas without it feeling like I'm giving him the mega push. He's raised pretty much everyone he works with in pop, it just clings to the man. Drops the tag belts after 6 months to lower guys no problem, making them into stars, didn't even dent him. The plan was to then put my main title on him and let him go to the moon. BUUUUUUUUTTTTTTT...... I decided to just dig a little into him and see physically hes declining badly at 32. Stamina is the worst one, its dropping every month. So I tested the entire roster, I think we had like 15 out of 40 fail it. I sent everyone to rehab. I think he's out for 6 months and is now a former pain killer abuser but I think there's still drinker/smoker on there. So the question is what do I do with him? Do I keep testing him until he gets clean? If he's what say 33 and clean, could things like Stamina improve or is it going to be too late for him at that point and I should just ride the rocket till it runs outta gas?
  3. <p>Simmed through to October 93 so far, will do a more in depth post tomorrow but it looks to be shaping up kind of amazing for the Monday Night Wars. WWF definitely has the lead still and has had quite a few more 90+ shows but on the whole it looks like WCW is picking up more steam, they've had a more consistent product and are crushing them in terms of the signings! Bret left last year after seemingly being wasted by the WWF and is getting a real push. They've picked up the likes of Eddie Guerrero and Cactus Jack and have definitely closed the gap in popularity.</p><p> </p><p> Really interested to see if they can take a lead in the next few years. I'm a little tempted to send over Hogan to really give them a hand but I think I'll give it another year or two and then make a couple changes before joining as WWF booker. I want that utter garbage roster of around Jan 96.</p>

I was a big fan of Justtxyank's work, and I'm sure you've done this mod justice.<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> This gives me an idea to sim up to September 1995 and then start the Monday Night War with the game how it has set up to then <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, it's probably going to be more of an experiment than a long term save but that's my plan, almost through the first year now, gonna stop it and take a look.</p>
  5. Hey thanks for this, a few years out from the save I have in mind but beggars can hardly be choosers so close to release! Gonna sim through 3 or 4 years and see how it looks so will provide some feedback.
  6. Hey all, long time since I've used these boards but found myself lurking more and more with the approach of TEW20, congrats to all involved on the release by the way! So I was born in 91 and with a couple older brothers, I was utterly in love with wrestling (was only ever aware of the WWF except for playing the WCW games at a friend's house a couple of times). By the early 2000's I discovered wrestling was "fake" and a thing called the UFC existed. Apart from continuing to play the games till around SVR 08 that was it for me and wrestling. Over time I've redeveloped a love and respect for it and the influence it has on sports with absolutely no desire to watch it. Then quarantine hit and well after exhausting just about every other interest via youtube I came across a video called Dark Side of The Ring (Montreal Screwjob). I knew the story loosely - just to add some flavour HBK was my favourite and Bret was my brothers - but wow seeing it laid out like this and talked about by the people involved. From there I have just been utterly engrossed in learning the actual business of wrestling and all these fascinating stories behind these figures from my childhood. I've also signed up to the Network and have just started watching from the 96 Rumble (next PPV is the Screwjob) whilst also reading up / watching what was really going on behind the scenes at this time. I watched those rise and fall of ECW/WCW docs and thought they were utterly compelling! So yeah, life is just one big hot sticky obsession with rasslin at the moment and I wouldn't have it any other way! Ohhh yeah why I posted this! So I'm a fairly longtime WMMA player 3/4 being where I was most interested in MMA, weirdly enough RW mods have never had any interest to me in that. Often taking a fictional mod or simming through vanilla to get a world I know nothing about and building a company that caters to the hardcore fans (pitting the best against the best rather than the most popular making very little use of hype). Obviously based on everything I just wrote that is the OPPOSITE of what I want in TEW! I can't wait for that 97 mod to be released and play as WWF and make Owen Hart into the star he deserves to be! I think he would have been pretty much near the top of my list of people I had no interest in as a kid and rewatching now I'm seriously blown away by everything he does in and outta the ring! I'm aware this post is incredibly vague in relation to the title, I had to get my new love affair with wrestling out somewhere! I am checking out a bunch of vids to learn it and messing around learning with the default DB till an attitude era mod is out. So no worries if you got nothing for me, this is more of a share than an actual question! One specific thing I would like to do though is bring some of those ECW stars across (I've fallen in love with Sabu) and put a little of that flavour into the show while still retaining that attitude era product. So any tips on how to best go about that would be hugely appreciated. Thanks for anyone who did make it this far!
