    One way to possible fix RTE6

    TL;DR: One way to possible see if you can recover your save from perpetual crashes is to turn off finances for a period of time, to see if it'll let you advance the game.  I've done this before and it often works, sometimes when starting new leagues or futzing with salary caps, there are problems I find with leagues moving forward. This has worked for me more than once.

    I've found over the ages of playing this game most of the db errors can be solved by 1) saving often before you have a crash (I will save every day during the free agency period to make sure I don't lose a save) and 2) seeing if you can fix a math problem. One other alternative is after you add new leagues or do a bunch of tinkering, to save an alternate version of your league so that if you do end up crashing a lot, you're able to get back to your last save point 

    Just some .02 from another player of this long dead, but wonderful game.

    I cannot hire my own staff in-game when I play AD. Being the HC is easy, just turn them into a human in the editor and assign them where you want them to go. For assistants, I have more success editing the coaches I want OR you can just offer the people you want A LOT more money but that's also harder to do unless you know how to rig the game to give your program control of your whole recruiting budget (which still only works for a big money program)

     

    So picking your assistants -- all 3 almost impossible -- maybe 1, but otherwise...that's it. Being a coach is easy though.

    I might have them on my old computer somewhere I jsut realized. I'm going to see if they're on there, because I don't have them either but hoped I'd posted them here and hadn't. I put all of my mods on Github now though. If I can find these, I'll post them.

    Here's a link to name/league files for Egypt, Qatar and Japan.

     

    One of these days, I will zip it up and put it in a file of its own somewhere. I just hadn't done that yet. Nonetheless, at least it exists.

     

    Working on a Korean names file now. Dennis Rodman's mucking around in North Korea made me want to make a fictional North Korean pro league.

     

    Goosejuice.com has a bunch of other foreign name/league files for those of you uninitiated with it.

    I created a bowl called the Gotham Bowl. It takes place in New York City at Yankee Stadium (or Giants Stadium, if that suits you better...) and it's a bowl matchup between the PAC-10 and SEC since there isn't a tie-in bowl that does that.
