Everyone!, While the main excitement of this AAR will be on the discord channel posted in the first thread, I will highlight year by year achievements as I continue playing through the G-Verse on this thread. Here's a little tease on how interactive it is on the discord channel, so feel free to join up and follow along that way too! (once you join look under Tyronis - g-verse - mod channel) BTW as you can see the company I am doing is GAMMA! Well's let get into the 1989 year in review, but first everyone should understand my house rules (yea... I know... It's WMAA 5, there are no rules!, but I'm doing it for my personal enjoyment, heh) House Rules: We will not create any new broadcasters. I did import Real Life broadcasters into the Database (based on the MW 3 mod) and that's what we'll be using. So eventually there will be a 150 awesome broadcasters to choose from as the years go by. No recruiting fighters that debut each month in a base region that has a Company. To help drive the early companies that start up, I will not recruit debut fighters in the base region the company is in. This rule does not apply to any American Companies or once the fighter is in the company and have a few fights under their belt and/or they are good, because you want to beat the best, you will have to join GAMMA to find out! Finally while not really a house rule, settings are set to have "No Local Shows" (only Large ones) and the AI hiring set to aggressive, so records don't get over tuned. (no fighter being 32-0 just on small local shows....) Everything else is default settings and "generate new fighters" is disabled per G-Verse recommended rules. (Though regeneration is on) Current GAMMA Weight Classes Belts are created, but I won't give out any Belts until after 1991, this way it gives 2 years for Fighters to develop records and fight for it!. 1989 Year in Review! Greetings Everyone, While unofficial, I did receive permission from London to post and start organizing a thread for, you guessed it!, new renders for the Global Verse aka the G-Verse! Firstly, I'm a big fan of the G-Verse, I like the whole Dawn of MMA type feel to the mod, but most importantly, the fictional route of the characters that debut in this database. Plus the fact that it features over 10,000 Characters is what makes it so unique in my book. Now with a database of this size, Pictures/Renders is a daunting task to come by because, as our artists can attest to, they are a lot of work. Unbelievably, the database already has over 2,000 Renders which is incredible. So, I thought to myself and mainly inspired by these 2 awesome threads: WMMA5 - Re-Render Project Thread: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=551551 Render Thread: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=540002 Why not create something for the Global Verse too! . So that's what this thread will be about. Finally I want to mention this is totally optional, I am not requiring nor expecting anyone to participate, just our Renderers who maybe want to help when they can, whenever they want and maybe you always had some "creative ideas" in mind for renders of the G-Verse, so now could be your chance to show it!. How to Participate: 2 Ways! Visit the official G-Verse thread here: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=540708 and download the Mod Database, put it in your game, then go to the editor and make sure you check the option to show if they don't have a picture, then have at it!.. Look at the names, and their profile and think of a Render that this char may be if you wish. Once you're done with a render, just post on the this thread like the other render projects here. Don't forget to include the name of the actual character you did within the Database! If you don't want to download the mod, (but you really should!), then I will be going through the database, starting by name value (Low Level National first), for those that don't have pictures, and post their names here on this first thread, followed by some description of the character so that you can draw some inspiration for it and then have at it with trying to make the render! I recommend just in case since most images are going to be in "gif" format, especially, if you get that itch to try the G-verse mod again, to go into the database, the characters, and do a Mass Edit and make sure that you pick this option: Picture becomes "Their Name.gif" This way if more and more artists participate, you can easily just download it and install it, and the pictures should update within your current game. However, if you start a new game, then do this database edit, it won't take effect until your start a new game with that database. Alright, so let's begin!
