  1. Been a while since I've played a non-watcher sim, or hung out here on the forums so I'm sure this question has been asked a million times...but using the search feature to find the answer has proven to be a challenge...

One of the biggest drawbacks I've had with TEW is with long term games and people's popularity ultimately being capped, which effectively hamstrings my promotion's progress.

Am I overlooking something? I try to go for workrate first, but after a little while things start to flatten out and I stop gaining popularity as do my workers, and as such the promotion starts stockpiling cash but never growing. Do I just need to start bringing in more over guys and burying them? I'd really prefer it to be more organic...

Idk...is this a problem for anyone else?

  2. Hoping this has been asked a lot and is an easy question...

Why aren't any retired workers opening dojos/training centers?

I have Picture Requirement set to "Off"...and I had a promotion open up one, but I'm so used to the old world where new ones would open frequently after people retired.

    Thoughts?

It's a converted 2016-2020 database, so is it possible there's a new characteristic that didn't exist prior to 2020 I'm not considering?

  4. Quick question...but I wanted to put it in a separate topic in case this needs to be moved to Technical Support or Suggestions...

Is there any way to access the notepad WHILE you're running a show? I can't seem to find one.

The inability to take notes during the show almost makes me want to switch to an external notepad. Hopefully it's an oversight on my part or accidental omission on Adam's...

I had not watched wrestling in years, but checked out the PPV where Goldberg returned because, you know, old school fan. He squashed Lesnar in a matter of seconds. It was the best match on the card. More than I can for wrestling matches in general these days.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Fair point! ...but how does a simulator account for that? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

...if I had to guess, if it's for a throwaway or a squash match it's not going to hurt anyone too much. </p><p> </p><p>

    But it makes sense. Whoever heard of a 5 star squash match? <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

  7. If it makes you feel better, they're not actually a child company. They're independent, just agreeing to (on a voluntary basis) accept TCW developmental workers.

    It does, actually :)

MAW is one of those companies I always loved to play with because it so closely resembled a lot of real world independent promotions that I've followed over the years.

  8. So as a disclaimer, I usually start unemployed and run as an "insignificant" new company, so I'm more concerned with cheap quality than bringing in "stars"

My usual go-to is "Hidden Gems" in the Creative Meeting area.

I also go to a couple of the promotions that I want to mimic and hire guys at the bottom of their card, as well as some of their secondary title holders.

Lastly, I scout the local independent shows and hire guys that look promising.
