Meh, im not condoning any of this but im also not going to pretend that that this is nothing we didnt already know.

Wrestling has always been a dark place but its never effected mods before and i wont let it effect this mod. Compare what has been going on over twitter with some stories that we already know.

Benoit, no one ever makes him a scumbag etc in historic mods because it didn't affect how he acted in the locker-room environment.

The list is endless, the wrestling world has always been full of scumbags but we ignore it we love them on screen.

Unless anyone is convicted of anything i wont be letting this impact the mod in anyway unless there is an attribute already in the game/added for anything specific which i doubt.

To use David Starr as an example, he may have been a scumbag to his girlfriends but giving him the scumbag attribute doesn't translate well in-game.

Man chill, it's ok. I'll play the game again lol, just was not up for playing it yesterday because of this. lol no need to explain to me that wrestling is a corrupt business (zero need to cite instances lol, and it's definitely not just wrestling) or to act like you're not the least bit surprised.

I'm allowed to be surprised at how much stuff came out yesterday and I'm allowed for it to keep me from playing TEW for a minute. And the "scumbag" thing, I was talking about real life, not the attribute in the game lol smh.

Also, I have been arrested a bunch of times, that doesn't mean I'm a bad person. People getting arrested is not just some horrible thing that makes you a bad person lol. It happens to good people too, just in bad situations.

And about things being "non-wrestling" related, that's not entirely true. A lot of the stories are about girls and their trainers. That makes it wrestling related, because these are the people training new talent and bringing them into the business. They would blackmail them, telling them they'll take their bookings away and stuff. It it TOTALLY wrestling related, in a lot of cases. You're being very weird about this whole thing.

So.. what to do on this?

I had a random moment in my '04 WWE game where Randy Orton got into a fight with Triple H. I'm trying to figure out how to handle this. They are both in Evolution. With Trips actually pull right now, should I pull the plug on Orton in Evolution and slow down his push for time being or should I continue it as nothing actually happened? I'm trying to handle some things in game as true to WWE as possible.

Part of me feels like I should keep Orton in Evolution but slow his push down while another part feels like I should either turn him face and leave Evolution to 3 people stable, pull in another wrestler to replace Orton in the group, or trade him to Smackdown to distance the two. I'm really stumped though at which route I should take.[/QUOTe]

Well his character was kicked out of evolution in august that year, so depending how close you are to that, you could reenact that story.

So, I just took over a company that was having financial issues and made it a child company of mine. I also previously created an alliance which has other child companies of mine. When I send the invite to this company, they decline it but I don’t know why. I even replaced the CEO of the child company with a unifier. I’ve never had one of my other child companies turn down the invite. I’m stumped here - any ideas?

You could take over that company with another player (their owner) and apply to be in the alliance, save it, and then subsequently leave the game as that player.

Most features aren't a picture/graphic but you still can specify them mate. That's the point of a text-based sim, to specify variables that you can then visualise

You could put a full-body picture of them as the picture for them lol, if you're just wanting it for visualization purposes. If you're talking C-verse, you're probably out of luck

Probably understandable if you haven't watched him, but Mance Warner shouldn't be set to not be able to play comedy. That's one of the main parts of his whole shtick. It's more of an offbeat/unstable gimmick so it's fine, but he would definitely be able to pull off a comedy gimmick as well.

The financial system is kind of broken, as many people have already pointed out, however one of the most broken things is the contract system. Currently, workers who are relatively unknown can be locked down on a 10 year 15k per month contract. This means if you sign a 25y old, you have his whole prime for 180k per year. Considering it takes about 2-3 in game years to take a worker from zero to his max, that means you are getting a LOT of value for very cheap.

Sure these workers demand more on the longer deals, however i think they should be asking for more than 15k. Also it should be exponential. Currently they cap at 15k, irrelevant if you sign him to 4 years or 10 years.

So i propose a higher initial cap than 15k and the cap should rise according to the years. If the worker is already "in decline" or has already capped in skills or already in the late 30s it should be the opposite. In other words they should favor the longer deals / hence should give a discount to employers giving a longer deal.

Just trying to clear this up, 15K a month is the largest contract you've seen? I'm paying Jericho like 80k a month, so I'm not sure I follow the issue here.

I just sent them to dev because for some reason I couldnt get them to gain any pop. they were stuck at 16-17 pop and just killed my ratings if i put them on tv. I also couldnt book them to beat anyone without royalling pissing that other team off. Sucks I have to rethink that stable but maybe this is an oppurtunity to try something different and then when this guy is backup for contract negotiations, I can have this big surprise re-formation of the stable kinda like how DX did back in the day.</div></blockquote> Those guys are gonna have a good story to tell on podcasts. To reply to some questions/comments:

I had nothing for those guys at the time, but did have big plans for them in the future once they had some pop built up and a little better skills and experience.

Also alot of my guys were handshake deals from when i first started and wasnt big enough to sign anyone to written contracts.

Also I figured i would save money by keeping someone on a handshake deal for 120 bucks a show vs trying to sign them to a written contract that would cost me like 25,000 a month.

anyone new I sign i give a written contract but i still have/had a bunch of guys left over on such old ongoing handshake deals that i just never offered them a new contract that was written.

Thansk to the guy who said put them on a shortlist. Ive gone ahead and shortlisted all my dev guys.

you don't have to do per month on written contracts. sounds like these guys would've been 1500 a show at most, if they're developmental workers, and that's being super generous. How many shows are you running?

Sounds like a workhorse to me.

If that promotion runs regular events, set the title to be defended at events Where Possible. If it runs weekly TV, set it to be defended at TV "Not Often". This has proven to be most realistic for AI titles in my save game. Good mixture of long and short title reigns, with appropriate amounts of defences. I also set TV titles to be defended Normal or Often at TV shows.
