I will say, I don't know if you do this in the new games or not but the whole plurality voting was something that I was not very fond of in the recent GDS games played over here. Michgcs would often give me a Day 1 joke vote and so there would be a high chance I could end up going just for that. What would be the point of playing if something like that happens?
That was the only thing that never happened to me, I was never mis-lynched as Town in the however many games I played. The only time I was ever lynched was as the SK or a member of the mob. With the plurality voting that could have very well happened for no other reason than a joke vote.
It forces the town to do something during the day though. Too many town members think the game's won at night. To be fair, some games on here were won by town overnight, but that was our slightly different version of mafia that we played.We are the only site I have played on that does not use plurality.
That said the first 2 games ran didn't use it, but the current one is using it and it is going well. There wasn't an elimination day one but that phase included among other things a denotation by the suicide bomber and a day vig shot on the sk. So it was exciting enough. I understand that you do not like it.
But it as eayragt says, it forces D1 not to be wasted.

There are multiple games running all the time and to have someone accuse someone of being more involved in one game as opposed to another and to make it an argument about what is and isn't AI is just not in the spirit of the game. You should be judged not on things outside the game but on what is in the game thread.</p>

I'm seeing a lot of people who should either rejoin us in our mafia efforts or begin the journey.
Would love to have all our old friends and any new ones that want to give it a go. Games are friendly and fun.

I think I discovered greydog from Thewho. He did this kyky cuts on a different forum and I was obsessed and wanted to find out where this game is. After some digging I landed here. I joined and mostly ended up playing wamma with some tew at first. In the end ended up loving both

Bluestar is awesome! He was the only person to go out of their way to help me learn how to play mafia when I first signed up.
Bluestar and I have been FB friends for as long as I can remember.

I still chat with Taker occasionally. As well as Rev and ier. Even talked with MTJTM the other week. The one I miss is Wallbanger. We are the same age, our kids are the same age. I hate I don't have anyway of contacting him.
I value my friendships with the group that played mafia here. I wish it was like it use to be.
And Bluestar. Hell we had a video chat month or 2 ago.

It's weird but I sometimes look at old threads and I will see Prophet or Dragonmack (Just using them as examples as the used to be frequent posters) post and I will wonder what happend to them.
A lot of the old Mafia players seem to have stopped posting. I said this before but I wonder if it was just an age factor. A lot of them were in high school or college at the time and maybe they either no longer have the time or they just grew out of the site.

Forget what I just posted. I am not sure why I posted that because it was about something totally different.
Yeah I would always look to see who was visible to see if they were reading the thread and not commenting. Sometimes it meant nothing but I would always file it away and if I needed to look at someone who was visible and not posting, then yes I would use my night action against them.
Oh lol. I used it too and in the early days caught more than a few wolves with it.

October 2007.
Done a bunch of things. Diaries. Graphics. Mafia. Angry complaining about RAW. This has always been a nice place to return to... even if I'm not sure if I've ever been away that long. The value for money TEW and these boards have given me is ridiculous.
Although rendering got expensive.

April of 2005, apparently.
Don't remember exactly what happened but there was a bit of a schism over on the .400 Software Studios forums and somebody pointed me here. I've been haunting the place ever since.
Over the years, I can remember that every time a new MMO came out, a bunch of us would start a guild/supergroup (Grey Dog Society 4 LYFE!) and roast the crap out of the game. While we were playing, we'd evangelize about TEW and sometimes people would sign up and buy the game(s). I'm still in contact with several of them.
I have played the Mafia games twice, before it got a subsection. Did a couple of 'meh' diaries that I gave up on because of the time required to do each entry (2 hours because of futzing around with graphics).
I remember when you played. Weren't those the Sadistic Blessing games?

I am still around. I doubt I will ever play Mafia again though. It was no longer fun and started to feel like a chore playing.
Sorry to hear that, always enjoyed playing with you.
But you never failed to entertain me when you did play. Seriously I loved when you played because you were a wild card, I never knew what you were going to do and that was why it was so much fun having you and Destiny in games.
Just like any reality show, if there are too many gamebots playing and not enough people just there to have fun, then the games get boring.
I was in the same boat as you in regards to TEW20. I went back and forth, I finally bought it but I kind of wish I had not. It just does not hold my interest like the others have.
Also, I remember asking you if you wanted to try Mafia out. I think you, as you said, played two games and then stopped playing. I remember you telling me in PM once that you did not want to play anymore.
You could try the Way Back Machine. I was looking at some of the older games a few nights ago.
Will try that as soon as I have time. It was good to hear from you again.

The mafia section being deleted is a shame. Was hoping I could find some of the old threads (info thread with all the statistics, Scummie Awards, etc...) but everything was deleted.

The first version of TEW I bought was 2008 then I joined the forum and I've bought every version since then even 2020 after going back and forth on doing so after the beta issues. I played mafia once or twice I don't remember but I stopped playing mafia because I had no idea how to play.
