  1. Here is the update for January, nothing major this month, the usual updates for the month, there are a few additions and renames all listed in the editor.

There is going to be an updated BUMP pack which I'll add in a couple of days, just need to upload them to the Google Drive, I lost a couple days due to my internet going down so I'm a day or two behind.

Hey, so let me first say Thank You for all your work.  I am a huge fan of this mod, and have been for a long time.

That being said, I sat down tonight to take a break from my 90's game, and try to run a game as my favorite indy, House of Glory, and have found that there is an entry, but not much else.  A good chunk of the roster does seem to be accounted for, but the company is inactive with no title histories or alumni or anything.  Is that something you would want?  I have seen elsewhere that other posters have provided updates on indy feds, and I would gladly put that together.  Just let me know what you need, or if I can somehow create the history in my own game and share it to you.

Also, am I missing Mantequilla in the database?  I've found several HoG talents that I thought might be more obscure, like Nolo Kitano, but Mighty Mante appears to be missing.  Unless he has another name I am unaware of.  Thank you!

Due to the size of the database I limit the amount of active promotions to a maximum of 50, it's currently 44 but I'm not rushing to make anyone active right now, I include closed promotions to make it easier to open them up and run them, for title histories all active promotions are kept up to date, for the rest I try and keep them active but it's a combination of finding the time to do them, I'm open to adding anyone missing, those with either a Cagematch or Wrestlingdata profile do take priority.

  3. Here is the update for December, another basic update this month, so it's just the usual updates for the month, there isn't even any additions, so not much to mention, if anything is missing post it and I'll change for next month.

I haven't uploaded a graphics pack this month as I've not added anything to it, but I have added a link to a Google Drive as an alternate download, currently it's just TEW graphics but I'm going to spend most of the month sorting out and getting the BUMP pack uploaded.

I Like this database, I want to ask how can i fix NWA-ROH having no titles as companies, Can i edit from inside somehow?

NWA's titles are set to their alliance, ROH's titles are set to the AEW alliance since they are used in both AEW and ROH.

To fix both go into the editor and set the belts to the promotions instead of the alliance, be warned this may break the current champions.

  5. Here is the update for November, bit of a bare bones update this month had other things going on and took some time away, still got the basics updated and added a couple of new workers, as usual the list can be found in the editor, if anything is missing post it and I'll change for next month.

There isn't an updated graphics pack since there wasn't anything added, but  bit of news is that I am looking at setting up a Google drive with all the graphics I have for all wrestling simulators, so it's have all the TEW and PWS graphics as well as my BUMP pack, it's going to take a while to get it all up, but I'm looking to get it finished for January, so you'll have the option to download the packs there or just pics the new stuff.

Hello everybody. Pretty new to tew 2020.  currently using a real world mod by TheWho87 and i love it! My one issue us that there are LOADS of inactive companies. Some of which are still open. I wanted to know how to change them to be open. Is it as simple as going to the editor and changing the date? So picking " set to open" the day the save is set to start? I have a pretty big PC so want as many companies as i can get. Thanks so much for your time.

If using my database, just remove the closed date in the editor and it will be active, the reason I have them closed is due to loading times, the more promotions active make the loading times longer.

  7. Here is the update for October, first major change is the removal of NXT:UK, I've moved over all those who've appeared in NXT and axed the ones who were released, there were only seven I couldn't find info on their status was (Aleah James, Andy Shepherd, Aoife Valkyrie, Isla Dawn, Johnny Saint, Rampage Brown and Stevie Turner), so for now I've released them, if they pop up in NXT I'll add them back. Other than than another key change is with ROH's titles, since they have been used more in AEW, I've given AEW and alliance with ROH and moved all the ROH titles as alliance titles, so they can be used in both AEW and ROH. Other than that it's just the usual changes for the month, I have added the new WOW roster to the game, I was 50/50 on making them active but they are all there so it's easilly done, there were a few more additions and renames, as usual the list can be found in the editor, but beyond that it's been the usual changes you'd expect every month, as usual if anything is missing post it and I'll change for next month.

I have been thinking of my new dataset and was thinking of an alternative current day database. It would be real wrestlers but instead of the WWE/F expanding and taking over, the game world is completely split into territories with workers moving between them. The NWA as an alliance, alive and kicking with only a couple of hold-out companies that didn't want to join (I'm thinking WWF, WCW & ECW). This would encompass USA and Canada.

The companies will be a mix of newer companies (ROH, PWG) and old school companies (such as St. Louis, AWA, WCCW, Maple Leaf Wrestling etc...).

In the UK it would be companies such as Dale Wright Promotions (or RWS) etc... under a World of Sport Alliance with ITV showing wrestling Friday through to Monday.

Europe might come under an alliance of it's own as well. I'm undecided at this point though.

Mexico will be pretty much be arena shows like they are in real life.

Japan will be touring shows. I may bring back a few older companies such as GAEA.

Australia & India are the 2 places I'm unsure how I will structure them at the moment.

This sounds a lot like the old NWA Domination mod from EWR and later Idol's version of iDOM, however the basic concept there was WrestleMania flopped and killed the WWF while the NWA was able to grow.

I was working on my own version of the NWA Domination that is along similar lines as what you seem to be going in, although my North America would still have a strong traditional NWA feel with some promotions breaking away with alternative styles. One thing I was going for with the UK that you can play with if you want is that ITV dropped wrestling in the late 80's, so the promoters band together and do a wrestling equivalent of the Premier League and jump it to Sky that then devolved back to terrestrial TV later on when it gets more established.

For Europe I had an alliance that built itself around the evolution of the European Union, specifically free movement in the early 90's, since that would help promoters they created an alliance around it with promotions in EU states.

These were just some ideas I had for a mod that will not likely see the light of day, but feel free to take anything and do your own take on it.

  9. Here is the update for September, nothing too major this month, you will note that NXT:UK is still active and has some people who left the company in August, since they have TV taped for part of September I have left them in but with 1 month contracts, considering what seems to be the plan with the brand this will likely be their last inclusion and they will be shut down for October for whatever happens next. Beyond that nothing big has changed, I've added a few people who were missing for a few promotions, you can see the full list in the editor, but beyond that it's been the usual changes you'd expect every month, as usual if anything is missing post it and I'll change for next month.

In the process of updating this, if anyone is creative and uses photoshop that wants to help contribute DM me on discord at Joe#6758. Thanks!

If any of my pics can help out feel free to use them, I can offer the PNG variants if you want, although by that I mean they are in a PNG format compared to the reduced quality JPG's in the pack, not with a cut background.

Thank you for noticing this. It's always helpful for small things like this to be spotted because sometimes it is impossible for me to figure these things out. I will have a look through and set the regenerations as appropriate.

On a different yet similar topic, I recall there was a similar thing with workers short names, it's not all and I think it's in a small minority but for some their short name is the same as their name, took a while to find one, but an example would be Malcolm Onley, another I noticed was Crazy Mary Dobson, although for her you could viably rename her to Sarah Rowe, her real name, plus she used it when working a CYN show this year, but that's your call.

  12. Just out of curiosity, are some threads just broken now?

You can't access the most recent pages on my two threads, in this one you can get to page 16, but if you go to 17 or 18  and get a "There are no posts to show"

    https://forum.greydogsoftware.com/topic/47681-mods-by-thewho87-real-world-updates/page/16/

The same with my other thread you get the "There are no posts to show" when trying to access the last page.

  13. Dunno how I overlooked this or if I screwed something up somehow in the editor but neither CM Punk or Jon Moxley are AEW champion. It's still set as Hangman.

Huh, that's weird, the title history was added for Page, it should be Punk cause I don't mess with that interim stuff cause TEW doesn't work it either. It'll be fixed for next month.

Also something I noticed, I forgot to change the ROH logo, the logo is in the pack if you download it so it's just another thing I forgot.

  14. One last one and I'm done lol. WALTER/GUNTHER's WWE contract is still set as just written as opposed to exclusive written. Doubt the AI could realistically steal him from WWE but still unrealistic. Same for Pretty Deadly in NXT and a handful of the UK boys. I don't watch NXT:UK so I dunno if they're allowed to do outside work.

That was one of the problems with NXT:UK for me, when it started it had a few people who were announced as being signed, then they used a few UK talent as jobber fodder where some became regulars and some didn't, which is similar to how things are done in NXT, they brought in rando talent jobbed them for a couple weeks then announce they were signed.

The thing with NXT:UK is there is little to no info on what's going on, so do you assume everyone working there is signed or some signed and some working as jobbers, although I do admit, I need to go through NXT:UK and give the roster a tidy up.
