Eisen-verse replied to Eisen-verse's topic in Total Extreme Wrestling 2020 Dynasties
I see what you're saying here. He certainly would fit in with that part of the roster within TCW. Here, he's playing a larger-than-life money man. I think of him as a current Wallstreet-like character; cigars, motivated only by money, and cut-throat at the same time. That said, to be very honest, his star quality is in the 50s; so, it's not like he's going to be a major character long-term. -

I'm taking my time fleshing Davids out; however, I agree that he has an early bad a$$ feel. He's a hard-hitting, real athlete-type persona. Knowing this, he has a believability when it comes to his hard-hitting style. I agree. Golden vs. Remo is certainly worthy of a Supreme Challenge main event. That said, I have an idea of what my main event for SC will be and, to be honest, it's not that one. I'm guessing you mean Morgan? The only Monty would be Trescarde and he definitely is fare more SE than TCW. With Joey Morgan, he's more of a grounded character for the SWF. He's your classic hard-nosed, "I'm going to go bell to bell" and give you what I've got. I think that, while it would fit TCW, it's still entirely possible with SWF. I'm booking a "Ruthless Aggression" style; so, he can be the respected a$$-kicker that wins people over with his blue collar style. I think of a Chris Benoit type. -

Hey, it's been awhile. I hope everyone is doing well! I just wanted to come on here and say that I'm about to release the 5th episode of SupremeTV sometime this week. I'm not sure if anyone is actively reading these days, or how busy the boards are for that matter, but I found some time and I wanted to keep these stories moving along (even if it is a bit since the last time I released a show). -

The upcoming episode of SupremeTV has been booked and I've started the writing process. I'm not sure when it'll be done but just wanted to give those of you reading a heads up. Same... RDJ, in my mind, is much more of a change agent than a simple manager-type. His persona/brand is so strong (ala Texan/Roughneck/Cowboy) that he can really do a lot to help others get a similar rub. He's got The Boys & Masked Patriot at his side right now. There could be more... Thank you! This version of Spencer Spade is overly cocky, self-absorbed, and an overall 'rebel without a cause.' In my head, I see him as an HBK-like character at the start of Degeneration X. It's not as 'over the top' as Shawn was but has that same "You make the rules, and we...will... break em!" kind of vibe. Really, that's what this new faction is all about. They've gone as far to change their name (and a reason given for such) on the next episode of SupremeTV! I have long visualized Edge when booking Rogue. That said, this version def. does have a Trips level to it. He's hardened, he's obsessive, and he'll do whatever it takes to get the gold. Even his pairing with Brandon James, a long time friend, feels like it was put together so he could get back to the belt (having a big man in his corner). His cage match with Rocky Golden this week will be a huge moment for him going forward (wondering whether he can BEAT Golden & be added to the main event at "Nothing to Lose"). If he loses, what will that do to him? Rocky Golden is an anti-hero in the way that he's not out kissing babies, shaking hands, and talking positively all the time. He's more of a modern bad ass of sorts. He's the kind of guy you'd see in an action movie and go - "Yea, I believe that he could kick some ass!" In that vein, there's always going to be a rugged/hard-nosed style to someone like that. He's very much so a 'good guy' though. This version of Scythe, at least at this given point, is far more of an unstable monster of a man. He's not using superhuman powers. On the other end though, he's not walking through the Supreme Gate (to music) like everyone else -- at least not yet. He feels like a guy who rolled in off the street, resides in the shadows, and is that 'real world monster' we see in the news. I find that to be more menacing. -

Yea, I don't plan for it to be a really long burn. He's already pretty over; so, it's not like we're going to have to rebuild from the basement up. That said, this storyline will give him a renewed sense of character as we move through 2020 (ultimately leading up to Valiant vs. Remo -- Part 2). I think it's about preference. For me, I like my babyfaces to still have a little bite to them. The vanilla hero doesn't really resonate with me. Knowing this, I'm booking Golden as a tough-guy babyface; like one you would see in a major action film. To distinguish the two, Valiant is more of the 'white meat babyface' where Rocky Golden is the tweener'ish tough guy. Adding him with Robbie and Hernandez is a great trio, as well. Here, Spade/Unleashed/Awesomeness makes for quite the brash/cocky faction (as we'll come to learn on SupremeTV next week)! Cream rises to the top. Thank you! -

This could cause some issues for those who are accustomed to seeing those pictures with specific people. For me, I had a general vision for each guy and these pictures worked really well for that (after looking through the previous Render Threads created over the years). I couldn't walk away from that.

If it's a tough sell, then I 100% understand and expected that some would be "That's _____ not ______; it's hard for me to buy into this." That said, I thought there was at least some wiggle room as a lot of the pictures are for newly developed characters into the game (versus long-standing ones).
-
