Also create more gyms - one big issue is that gyms help fighters improve quicker, but there are nowhere near enough spaces, and they are taken up largely by the better fighters.
So the younger developing fighters are stunted by not having gyms to train at, further exacerbating the OPs observation
Adding more gyms will help these guys challenge

World Championship Boxing Manager is still available to buy.
The one I was thinking of and that Boxing Manager on iOS is based on is a different game, and long dead…
-

Boxing Manager on iOS is an excellent game - an upgraded version of World Championship Boxing Manager from back in the day

There’s a new fight card module to be added soon, and it’s also soon coming to Android.

Really excellent game

The suggestion is pretty self-explanatory. Basically a pound for pound ranking system for fighters within one company that can also be viewable in other companies in your save. I'm not sure if someone has already suggested it but I really think it would make playing a company more immersive and see who are the top fighters in your company especially when having fighters that don't make it into the world p4p 25 in your roster.
It used to be in previous WMMA games, not sure why it was taken out as I agree, it does add another layer of immersion

I know there are MANY factors that decides if they will or wont, but a lot of them says that the financial benefits are not worth it... The game should let me offer a retired fighter a contract, before even talking to them, so they could decide from that offer. Declining to come back do to financial benefits, when they don't even know what I'd offer them is kinda weird.
That would be a nice variation, agreed.
Another thing that should be built in is that if a fighter is retired, their contract should not be immediately cancelled, as is the case now.
They should stay contracted to their company/companies until those contracts run out - e.g. in my last game Fezzik retired while contracted to ALPHA, I spoke to him immediately as BCF, then GAMMA & ALPHA also got involved. 3-4 days later he signed with GAMMA. But he previously had a long term exclusive contract with ALPHA - if he came back, he should only have been able to do so with them

It’s not an insurmountable problem

Their contract should remain valid for whatever length of time remains.
Currently, if you talk a fighter out of retirement they become free agents, even if they change their mind 24 hours later. That should not happen

When adding a show, if possible it would be great to be able to change the date and location on the day it is set up, snd it only becomes locked when you hit continue
At the moment a lot of the info needed to be able to decide these things (location particularly) is not on the set up screen, so it would also be good to be able to access the roster screen at least, ideally the booking screen from the show set-up window (even if we can’t actually book a fight, having the booking window accessible would be so much of a QoL improvement

So let me get this straight. When you’re obnoxious and offensive, it can’t be disrespectful because you’re “just being honest” and giving an opinion, but when somebody else is honest and gives their opinion about you, it’s disrespectful and they should apologize? How does that work? Either giving an honest opinion can be disrespectful or it can’t, you can’t have it both ways.
You owe us all an apology for wasting our time making us read you blow out your diaper because nobody cares about your gambling record or how long you’ve been watching MMA.
This isn’t about you. If you want to contribute, learn how to do it without making it about you. Nobody cares if you think the stats are egregious, nobody cares what your hobbies are, nobody cares how old you are. It doesn’t matter if you’re “just being honest” when none of that has jack squat to do with this mod, which is the topic of this thread. Learn how to act like a big boy and stop throwing temper tantrums that could get the thread locked and then maybe you’ll get a better reception from people, it’s not difficult.
Welcome to the 2020s

Would be nice where you could select a fighter and click a button for the game to auto book them in a show.

Would also like to see auto match show where the AI takes on the match making. It can start feeling like a chore when your company becomes quite large.

- Option to have calendar be week to week for quicker sims. Major infrastructure change this would be so maybe something for WMMA6. The time I end up waiting until my next show is really the biggest knock I have against this game. The match ups and watching shows play out is great but so much time wasted waiting to sim to the next show.

- Add ranking next to fighters name in the Match Making screen

- In the fight screen, add ranking next to their name or somewhere on the screen. currently the user has to keep clicking the players photo to view the profile at this point to see it.

Added to this, it would be great if the boxes either side of centre (where the belt appears in title fights) were used instead for a list of the fighters last four fights. Ideally you could have opponent (short name), result and short method (just UD, SD, MD, KO, TKO, Sub, etc) - there’s no room for much else, and don’t think you need more than this on the fight screen

As well as the current ranking as per the OP, this would help immersion in the game world, and the title belt could be reassigned somewhere else on the screen)

I asked this Q in the General Discussion forum, but on the offchance we get a minor update, thought I’d log it here too.
It would be great if we could stop the likes of Alpha and Gamma signing green rookies and then feeding them to established stars - it ruins potential fighters and TBH breaks the immersion
Ideally put a minimum experience required to be able to sign for a particular size company, or if the larger companies do sign rookies, they should protect them through their matchmaking.
From the answer in General Discussion, I understand some similar hiring restrictions are in place in TEW, so hopefully it can be ported over as a relatively minor update
I would even pay a little extra to have some of these QOL improvements suggested over the last months as a patch rather than asking for it for a free update, as Adam has said he doesn’t want to immerse himself in the MMA world (hoping this would be a coding update on the base game rather than needing major rewrites)
-
I’m hankering to start a new game, but one thing that outs me off is the biggest companies signing unknowns or LLR guys before they’re ready for that level...
Is it possible to set a hiring restriction that AI companies can only hire people of certain popularities - e.g. National companies can only sign fighters HLR or more, International companies can only sign LLN fighters of greater?

FWIW the website is still not displaying properly on my iPad mini, in either landscape or portrait
The ‘Grey Dog Software’ in the top left corner is now tiny, and still cuts off the end of the name (it reads ‘Grey Dog Softwa’)
-
Going straight to the no-ads skin. It’s annoying
-
I reckoned about 50 was a minimum for the way I preferred to play
-
IIRC 0 potential is actually random potential, so when a new game is initialised with your generated fighters, a random potential is assigned to them every new game
If hou set potential to 70, every time every fighter will have this level
-
Still not right, it looks a bit of a shambles TBH if you cut off part of the company name on the website.
Won’t inspire people about the quality of the games, which at least for WMMA and TEW would be wrong
-
Still not displaying correctly on an iPad mini - only the left edge of the last E is showing, so it looks like ‘GREY DOG SOFTWARI’
It displays correctly on my Andriod phone
-
It still says Grey Dog Softwar on the front page (on an iPad if that makes any difference).
Edit - it’s on all pages I think.
The Q&A with Adam and yourself in the About Us section are horribly formatted, or not formatted at all. I’m guessing the others are the same.
Each question should probably be a separate paragraph?

Has anyone had an issue where you changed the way your fights are judged and it doesn't take effect at the next event? I changed my fights from being judged on the 10 pt. must system to judging the the entire contest, saved my settings, and then when I ran my next event it was still being judged on the 10 pt. must. I double checked my settings afterward, and I clearly saved it to judging the entire fight.
Changing the setting only changes the scoring for cards you book afterwards, so if you had already booked the second event, it would have been created under the old scoring system
All newly booked cards will adopt the new settings

Agreed, a great game, and the only downside is that Adam has said there will be no WMMA6.
I would personally be up for a game that was largely the same, but had more QoL improvements such as less clicking (it has been reduced, but could still be less) a d faster processing times in later years... we can only dream!
-
From memory, I think Flyweight is not within the standard weight classes that Era settings use (along with SHW)
So you may need to add a specific line using the editor to generate any Flyweights or SHW at all
-
You’ll need to add the fighter in another DB and then import them your save
-
The only thing I hope is that he can speed up the day to day speeds.
Otherwise, WMMA5 is probably the closest he's going to get to the "perfect game."
At this point, I hope he can make a boxing sim. There hasn't been a good one in a long time. Title Bout 2.5 has so many issues that prevent me from playing it.
Adam’s said in the past he doesn’t like boxing, and has no interest in making a boxing game.
Agree with you that I would love a more streamlined, quicker and less clicky WMMA, but not holding out much hope
Fighters not fighting shouldn't resign contracts

Playing Boxing Manager on iOS, realised one thing WMMA has lacked is a meaningful fighter happiness model
If a fighter signs for a company on a 5-fight, 2 year deal for example, but only fights once in that time, they shouldn't be happy and shouldn't resign when the 2-years is up: currently the game is set up so that if the company wants to sign the fighter, they resign regardless (AI or player-controlled).
If there is any further development with the franchise, this would be a major addition to the game
Similarly the unhappiness with the booking some fighters report should have consequences - I've never had a fighter refuse to sign/resign because they were unhappy (although it may be that I release fighters on three Ls in a row, which is why I've separated from the main point above)
