  1. Absolutely unequivocally no on that. I'd rather the mod self explode on download than use AI art for renders.

I'm going to expand on this before I get settled into work and add that using AI art will never be in consideration for inclusion with this mod be it officially or renders made by someone to fill a gap in the new pictures pool.

Both jhd and I have the presets if people want to render in the style and we can give tips (jhd more than me) on people wanting to learn how to render but we're both not going to spit out prompts for one of the ten thousand websites that generate the same looking images ad nauseam to do the work.

  2. Okay, both sides have said their piece with this one and the back and forth will benefit no one now at this point. Anything further on the topic can go through PMs.

As advised, if there has been permission granted for work used and should this mod be released on the board then all we need is some form of credit section crediting those who have given the permission and, if necessary, proof of the permissions being granted.

i get what you saying, but im of the opinion that we do not need this permission, because the mod does not use any renders from other people, since none of the renders were created by these people.
The moment these images come out of the AI, they were no longer created by the original creators.

But to be on the safe side, we got premission from all the people whose renders i put into an ai.

Yeah, no. You 100% do need permissions in the same way that anyone using a database to make a derivative mod needs permissions to release the mod using the original mod's work. It's downright disrespectful to the original creators to take the stance of "well it's not their work anymore since it's ran through an AI". People put time, effort and money into purchasing the resources and making the renders.

If you choose to release this mod on GDS, you'll be required to provide proof of permission from every single renderer whose work you've used as a base on launch.

  4. "yes, someone would think the renders looks pretty famailiar, the mod uses renders from creators by the TEW community, but all renders are set by an AI and edited by me, so they are custom Renders."

my brain refuses to understand this. are you taking renders made by the community and running them through some sort of AI? if so, you'll need permission from everyone whose renders you've decided to run through RenderGPT or whatever program is the program de jour these days.

  5. I keep clicking into this thread based on the title and every time I expect it to be something wildly different, perks of my brain misfiring.

Questlove and Flesich have it on the money. Make the mod for you first then for others, the best advice anyone can follow for any type of mod.

  6. Correct. As per current board rules, anything that uses another mod's data has to have permission either by way of the mod creator making the work free to use and stating as such or having permission granted. Whilst I understand and appreciate the issues if mod makers have since went to other boards and seemingly no longer post on GDS meaning it's nigh on impossible to get in touch with them, we've all still got to abide by the rules (lest the mod team then end up with PMs on here or on Discord or wherever about this).

To give more context, this was shortly before the GI Climax. Mark was going to fight Claudio for the ROH Championship since Eddie Kingston couldn't (because he was in the G1 and thus in Japan for the duration of the tournament), but then Mark got injured. I don't remember who Claudio ended up defending against. Or if he even did.

Had the match with PAC instead based on PAC walking out of B&G.

Sheesh, Tony couldn't find a spot for Mark Briscoe's return on Dynamite? Isn't Rampage taped the same night? 😬

This is very much a case of a no win scenario here for AEW. You stick it on Dynamite then inevitably there are complaints about it taking up time on the "main" show for what is akin to a jobber running down the town and then having a lower card dude for all intents and purposes coming out as a return from injury. You stick it on Rampage and all of a sudden it's a case of "Why isn't it on Dynamite?". I assume if the option C was invoked and he did it on Collision, it would have a whole other discussion attached to why did he show up on the C show or something.

AEW isn't perfect by any stretch but this is an absolute non issue having Mark Briscoe ease back into the AEW scene on Rampage.

Tony has got to stop putting these big matches on AEW Collision on Saturday. Omega vs. MJF could draw a huge PPV and they'll be lucky to get 500k to watch it Saturday.

Why even do it now anyway with Omega and MJF face? Shouldn't they turn Omega heel first?

It was never a good idea even when Punk was on Collision and there was a brand split. Now with Punk gone, AEW is just throwing away big matches.

Collision is the C-Show now and should be used primarily for recaps and feature underneath matches, not (arguably) the two biggest stars in the company.

the whole story behind that match is that if mjf wins he surpasses omega for longest run with the big belt in the companies history, they've told that over the course of the last week of tv. this isn't nineteen canteen anymore, they're fine to do that match then have a follow up down the line.

  10. With what he's posted today, I can kinda understand weirdly why he's being as frantic tweeting. It's the anniversary of something no one ever wants to go through and he's got people @-ing him from every angle because the bird app is dumb as hell and no doubt some of the worst people walking the earth will be @-ing him specifically about his ma.

Eric LaMonica & Reilly Patton [The Learning Tree] vs Iron Hyodo & Wataru Kikumoto [Twin Cities Promotions]

A display of the partnership with the Twin Cities Promotions in Minneapolis, Iron Hyodo & Wataru Kikumoto ventured over to St Louis to prove a stern test for The Learning Tree. Knowing they needed a big win to get back in their mentor Warren Technique's good graces, the wily duo of Eric and Riley scratched, clawed and cheated their way to the win - Eric blindsiding Wataru leaving a surprised Hyodo in the ring alone with a waiting Reilly Paton. One Cradle Slam later and The Learning Tree were back to winning ways.

The Learning Tree defeated Iron Hyodo and Wataru Kikumoto in 6:59 when Reilly Patton pinned Iron Hyodo with a Cradle Slam.

    Nathaniel Ca$ino vs Robin Newman

The look of disgust on Ca$ino's face at being booked to face Robin Newman could be visible from space as he sauntered his way out for the next contest - the ever oblivious Robin not even noticing that his opponent for the night seemed to hate his existence. The obliviousness ended right after the opening bell rang and the next near five minutes were uncomfortable viewing for Newman's growing bro club. Finally put down with the Double or Nothing, Nathaniel stomped to the back whilst Newman slowly came to his senses to the applause of the audience,

Nathaniel Ca$ino defeated Robin Newman in 4:57 by pinfall with a Double Or Nothing.

Flying Patriot & Drop Kix vs Young & Wasted with Cheyenne

Forced into this match by the ECW matchmaking committee, Young & Wasted complained to referee David Poker about the great travesty they faced in having to be here this month only to be cut off by dual dropkicks from their ever patriotic opponents. A good back and forth encounter occurred once Bret and Taylor shook the cobwebs loose, their bestie Cheyenne at ringside proving to be the difference maker in this one. Distracting David Poker, the momentary lapse from the senior official allowed Taylor Norton enough time to smack the Flying Patriot in the head with Cheyenne's clutch bag and plant the dazed masked man with The Go Home for a cheap win.

Young & Wasted defeated Flying Patriot and Drop Kix in 9:56 when Taylor Norton pinned Flying Patriot with The Go Home.

    Beau Boulder vs Onslaught

Wrestling in his sophomore outing in the USA, Beau Boulder faced a very different match up in the rabid Onslaught. Trying and failing to engage in his preferred technical stylings at the start of the match, the Manchester native showed remarkable adaptability to weather the storm and counter Onslaught's relentless offense. Eventually wearing the angry flier down, Beau took over and gained his first North American win following a Swandive Headbutt after planting Onslaught with a quick release German suplex.

Beau Boulder defeated Onslaught in 11:20 by pinfall with a Swandive Headbutt.

Staring a hole through his opponent, Onslaught looked set to go and gain a measure of revenge until he was interrupted by his handler/friend/acquaintance Nathaniel Ca$ino who looked furious that the night didn't go 2-0 for their partnership. Berating Onslaught, Ca$ino could audibly be heard asking how he even thought he'd get the bigger names put away if he can't even beat someone wrestling their second match ever.

    Kid Fantastic vs Warren Technique

A first time match up in the nascent territory, Warren Technique stood alone with no back up from his Learning Tree charges - a fact that had Kid Fantastic on edge and looking multiple times in the match for the interference that never came. Showing veteran prowess, Warren was at his most methodical here - taking advantage of every lapse in concentration to punish Kid Fantastic and stop him from gaining more of a footing in the contest.

Warren Technique defeated Kid Fantastic in 13:35 by submission with a STF.

    Cheech Kong vs TJ Bailey

The main event for the evening with the lingering threat of a shot at Leftie Wilkes' Junior Prestige championship down the line, TJ Bailey knew the stakes going into this. Unfortunately for the old timer, so did Cheech Kong who wasn't adverse to taking any shortcut necessary to try and gain the win. The advantage to being a near 20 year professional in the sport was that TJ was able to counter most of the cheap tricks and keep Cheech from getting too much control. Eventually sneaking through the match with the TJ Time, TJ stood with a look of relief at getting one step closer to Leftie Wilkes.

TJ Bailey defeated Cheech Kong in 13:54 by pinfall with a TJ Time.

    Leftie Wilkes.jpg TJ Bailey.jpg

....a look that didn't last long as the champion himself came rushing into the ring behind him. Waiting for his victim to turn around, the despicable Leftie nailed TJ in the head with the Junior Prestige championship and left as quickly as he came in - screaming that he'd never ever let TJ get another match with him as long as he could. Ending the show on a sombre note, David Poker and a few members of the ECW roster made their way out to tend to the fallen veteran.
