I agree with Morrison and Truth all of a sudden getting a title shot they were made a tag team what two weeks ago?
so it's
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Edge vs. Jericho
WWE Championship Match
Cena vs. Batista
Streak vs. Career
Michaels vs. Taker
Hart vs. McMahon
Sheamus vs. Triple H
Money in the Bank
Christian vs. Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Shelton vs. Swagger vs.M.V.P. vs. Hardy vs. ???
Also look for WWE to use Drew McIntyre in some way at this year's Wrestlemania. Punk and Rey also looks like it could be a matchup.

Still, I'm 25, and Cheech and Chong are...well, a bit before my time...Up in Smoke was 6 years before I was born. Does any of the WWE's target audience even know who these guys are? Are they still that popular in the US?
Also, their fame aside...does anyone find it strange that the WWE has tamed down it's content to be more child/family friendly, yet last night's Raw featured numerous drug references and Tommy Chong, who is a big legalisation advocate and spent time in prison a few years back on drug-related charges?
Far out man...
They are still relevant Tommy Chong was on that 70's Show in a reoccuring role also Cheech Martin has done numerous voiceovers in flim (Lion King any1). Now true I didn't like how they used the *magic* cereal were the writers smoking something when thinking about that idea and they are also relevant because they have a comedy tour.

I'll admit I'm not looking forward to Hogan and Flair battling in a TAG MATCH IN 2010... SOMEONE CALL THE RETIREMENT HOME!!!</p>

I haven't watched RAW in maybe two or three months, but I did catch Cole last night. Has he been favoring the heels on RAW or is this just a NXT only thing?
And I was glad that they did not have Matt Striker on play-by-play or color because I personally hate having to listen to him call a match. Not a huge fan of Josh Matthews either but I would much rather listen to him then Striker.
It's an NXT thing and there starting a storyline Michael Cole vs. The Internet Wrestling Community.

Seems with NXT coming on, and the batch of Fall cleaning releases that mostly came out of development, WWE is re-loading it seems.
Some guys, granted, have been under a deal for a while but have just recentley debut in FCW, like Richie Steamboat and Ray Leppan. But they have now added G-Rilla (a returning former releasee) and Mason Ryan, whoever he is. And of course both of Rikishi's sons are now in FCW thanks to the arrival of Joshua Fatu aka Jules Uso.

http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/wilhelmce/G-Rilla.jpg
http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr2/wilhelmce/JulesUso.jpg
Now apparentley there are a couple other guys on their way in. Domino has been at the last batch of shows using his Cliff Compton character, and there are still the unconfirmed signings of Incognito, Barri Griffiths, Jemma Palmer, & Super Nova.
Hopefully development can get its next Blue Chip (aka Orton/Batista/Cena/Lesnar) prospect that I simply dont feel they've had in a while. I mean Jack Swagger is pretty darn good, but he's just not clicking right now for some reason, I fully expect him to though. If you dont count the NXT call ups, the only guys in FCW now that really seem to have any chance of achieving success (and granted WWE has a record of pulling no-ones into somewhat useable guys like Kofi) are Joe Hennig, Richie, & maybe someone like Conrad Tanner can get transformed into a great monster/psycho and hopefully become a successful version of Mike Knox/Vance Archer.
Conrad Tanner aka Kyle Rassmussen: The new Goldberg?
I agree with Rassmussen he could have all the tools to be a huge superstar in the WWE.

Agreed. Have him start thrashing heels and give him all clean finishes vs. cheap old school wins and he's a huge hit as a face. He can still play the loner card, he doesn't have to buddy up with Cena. I think it would actually be a nice change of pace for him to play the favorite but still have a cold reception to Cena, DX, etc.
Give the guy the Austin push!!!!

Well, reality shows are real, so yes I do... Trust me, those shows are casted well, not scripted. It's simply a matter of finding the right mix of personalities and putting them in situations where they can give you what you want from them. Trying to fake it would be a waste of time and it would be blatantly obvious - if you've ever seen these people outside of their reality shows, you would know it's real because they can't act their way out of a paper bag. I would expect NXT to be much more like Raw/SD! than reality shows...but anybody who says they know what it will be is lying.
Back to that discussion about themed pay-per-views, they've announced some changes to the schedule: Extreme Rules moves to April to replace Backlash, Wild Card replaces Extreme Rules in May, and Fatal Four Way replaces The Bash. In July, they added Money In The Bank. MITB is obvious and I'm guessing Wild Card is the Roulette event they talked about, but Fatal Four Way...really? An entire event of four way matches? Wow, they're really desperate now.
I would to know who in the blue hell thought of Fatal Four Way seriously are these writers smoking blunts with Vince in his office.

Where do you guys think these 8 FCW'ers will land in WWE...
Bryan Danielson(Daniel Bryan)-
Skip Sheffield(Ryan Reeves)-
Heath Slater-
David Otunga-
Darren Young-
Justin Gabriel(Justin Angel)-
Wade Barrett-
Michael Tarver-
-
See..if that's how it works, I'm on board. Because that seems genuinely interesting. I'm worried it's going to be like the last round of Tough Enough where everyone was already playing a character and it was "worked-reality"
That isn't how it's going to be though because every single one of these guys are FCW Talent's with characters coming in.
-
Well it's now really official Impact on Monday's and live every other Monday as expected. Hope this increases viewership for wrestling as a whole. And if the ratings dissapoint no real harm in going back to Thursday imho.
I agree and the good thing is that they're doing it for the wrestling fan!!!
-
Tiffany is a horrible choice for a GM, from what I've seen on youtube Abraham Washington would have been much better.
I agree with you but WWE doesn't want to be sexist
-
could you elaborate please?
I'm not initially found of them getting rid of SS b/c I feel the gimmicky PPV in place will probably be dumb and unnecessary like the recent ones they have changed. More than anything I would love for them to bring back the King of the Ring concept and make it important again, bracket tournaments were one of the options in their online survey so im hoping its at least in the running
How they open a show with a skit and at the end they would say live from new york it's Saturday Night.
You could put the city name in for New York and say Live from (city name) it's Monday Night RAW.

Does anyone else think that WWE should use their guest hosts, in the way that SNL uses them.... it's just a thought.

What is going on ECW some of you have asked well here is a simple rundown
Croft and Beretta are feuding with Goldust and Tatsu
Ryder is calling himself the Heart of ECW after defeating Tommy Dreamer and is feuding with The Hurricane
Christian and Big Zeke have been feuding ever since Jackson won the ECW Homecoming.
Vance Archer and Shelton Benjamin are feuding
Koslov has turned face from what I can tell after Jackson and Regal turned on him.

Here is my Wrestlemania 26 rundown
Main Event for WWE Championship
HHH vs. Sheamus
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
Edge vs. Jericho
Unified Tag Team Championship Match
The Hart Dynasty vs. The Dudebusters
Brand Warfare
John Cena vs. Batista
Women's Championship Match
Michelle McCool vs. Mickie James
Money in the Bank
John Morrison vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Evan Bourne vs. Zack Ryder vs. The Miz vs. Matt Hardy vs. C.M. Punk
-
Yeah, that's why Cena is going to win. They're clearly setting up HHH vs. HBK at WM, or maybe even HHH & Vince vs. HBK & Bret. Cena will go after Sheamus. The only other possibility is Batista, I forgot about him. Cena or Batista. Either way, they're both going to face their respective brand's champion so it doesn't really matter who is standing at the end.
Batista vs. Taker, Cena vs. Sheamus, HHH vs. HBK, Vince vs. Bret, Jericho vs. Edge, Orton vs. DiBiase...Punk wins MITB again? I could see it.
Cena is going to take on Batista in a RAW vs. Smackdown matchup.
-
I'm going to call it now Triple H to eliminate Shawn Michaels to win the Royal Rumble in the same place he won the 2002 Royal Rumble to take on the WWE Champion Sheamus.
-
Was this scripted?
Yes Omni it was a worked shoot.
-
Alright,
Guys I thought I'd drop my input on making new stars from Paul's or Triple H's standpoint. I would have to take the Terry Funk defense were I have to make new names for there to be a buisness. So if I was in Paul's head I'd be asking myself what were to happen if there was no John Cena,Chris Jericho,Big Show..etc. who would be the next big star and that is were Kingston,Rhodes,Dibiase,MV.P.,Miz,Henry and others.
-
Red's opponent at Genesis is a "mystery". Joe would fit in nicely there. Who else could it be? Only logical choices are Joe, Hardy, Moore, or Homicide.
I'm waiting for a "Stay Puft Tomko!" chant. Would fit perfect.
Three letters for ya R...V...D and it wouldn't suprise me if the mystery acquistion is Mr. Anderson!!!!!
-
Fun match, even if I hate the pointless re-branding of The Young Bucks.
When they showed Hall & Waltman, I was afraid they would come down & beat all four of them down. I'm glad that didn't happen.
Yeah it was a good match and I agree with the wierd rebranding as now everytime I'll hear their names I'll think off the Hardys.
-
I have no clue who they are on the indy scene or whatever it is called but I like Generation Me!!
The crowd is giving it to you "The Young Bucks".
-
Generation Me? Ugh.
Max and Jermey Jackson nice job,TNA now they will sound like Matt and Jeff.

Seen Spoliers and the Masked Man's identity is...

The Official WWE / NXT Discussion Thread *May Contain Spoilers*

I thought NXT was ok last night as you could see their developing stories which each guy.
Gabriel-Loves his coach because he is a face
Sheffield-Showboater who needs to improve in ring work(that is why Regal was barking orders at him).
Barrett-The big UK Brawler who only fights for the money and enjoys his coach due to he is a heel
Young-Wants to do anything to impress his coach even going so far to as to going Straight Edge
Otunga-The talker who has been around the big lights of Hollywood and doesn't like his coach taking his spotlight(You can see this when he enters because he ignores Truth)
Bryan-The Indy Darling who has more expierence then his coach which rubs his coach the wrong way. His coach then runs him through a series a tests.
Slater-The arrogant West Virginia who thinks he is hot stuff when his coach tells him he really isn't. He is also a hothead and takes everything serious (Carlito spiting the apple in his face)
Tarver-The crossover boxer who has multiple personalites as he has a good side and a bad side (Angel/Devil).
Some of you guys are looking way over some of these guys if this is what I gathered from two weeks of these guys.
Also I thought I'd mention this along with the possibly of Batista,Taker,Shawn and now....TRIPLE H has plans of taking time off after Wrestlemania meaning WWE would be without 4 of it's main eventers. This could be a great time to make Dibiase and others into Main Event talents.
