1.
Took time off my WCW 1998 game and recently started it up. Now in March 1999 and a bunch of things have happened. Backstage was in shambles when the game started. Resulted in Nash, Hart, Luger, Elizabeth, Piper and a few others walking out on me. That forced me to change up some plans.

Goldberg straight off feuded with Hogan. This also began tension within the NWO. Hogan got sick of people losing and gave them the ultimatum to win or they're kicked out. Slowly the numbers dwindled. Goldberg beat Hogan at Road Wild for the title.

Tension boiled over which started a feud between Hogan and Savage because Savage "accidentally" caused Hogan to lose his title. In an effort to avoid a match with Savage, Hogan kept throwing other NWO people at him. They would lose to Savage and subsequently get kicked out of the NWO for their failure. Scott Hall became the last one left and also couldn't beat Savage at WW3 (A rated match). Savage finally got his match against Hogan at Starrcade where he won in a cage. This was supposed to completely end the NWO, but I wanted to pull as much out of it as I could (typical WCW??) and continued with a Hall/Hogan feud from here. Savage became ultra popular and I gave him some deserved time off. Also because I didn't have a clue what to do with him after this.

I took the opportunity to also elevate some other guys and trying to rebuild the tag division. Malenko/Benoit have been on a good role and are my current tag champions. They defeated the Faces of Fear who also had a nice run with the titles and got over really nicely. Raven/Saturn are becoming a really good team and have been feuding with the Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman).

Scott Steiner defeated Goldberg at Starrcade for the world title after Goldberg passed out in the Steiner Recliner. After Booker T won the WW3 battle royal, he feuded with Steiner. I didn't have Booker win just yet as his popularity's stopped at B+. I'm really hoping that isn't his cap. Instead, I had Steiner defend the title at SuperBrawl against Booker and Goldberg, since neither guy had yet gotten their title (re) match. Goldberg won the title back and is again in a mini feud with Hogan.

DDP became bitter and turned on Sting. They are now feuding. DDP has gotten over a lot and he may get rewarded with a title run eventually. I'm trying to keep Sting busy until Rick Rude comes back from injury. I plan on having Rude return to the ring and feud with Sting, on the basis that he's getting revenge on Sting for permanently injuring him and ending his career. We'll see how good Rude is in the ring for how long he stays after that, but I'm hoping he isn't too bad. In real life before his death, Rude was training for a return. I'm also on the fence about feuding Sting with Goldberg and having Sting be the one to finally cleanly defeat Goldberg.

I was going to reform the 4 Horsemen until Flair walked out on me also. The Giant also didn't renew his contract and went to the WWF where he has been their World champion for awhile. I'm just waiting until I can re-sign Flair and get the Horsemen going again. I signed Vader after he didn't stay with the WWF and wanted to give him a better run than he got. He's a freelancer though and only signed short term. He's feuding with Wrath now.

I was able to get Hart and Luger back, which I'm happy about. People forget just how massively over Luger was and I'm working on getting him back to that. Hart was thrown into a feud with Chris Jericho, who has become hugely popular. Turns out though, they have horrible chemistry in the ring. I found this out after starting their feud, so I had to come up with some alternative for matches. So Hart, who's recruited newcomer Lance Storm, told Jericho ty try and find a partner for their match at Uncensored (which I'm promptly dropping the feud there). To everyone's surprise, Macho Man returned from his hiatus to announce his teaming with Jericho. I was tossing up using either Macho or Scott Hall. I went with Macho after figuring he could give a better match. Hall's been dynamite for me but is still battling drug issues. If I could get him past that, I'd have no issue giving him a solid run.

Jericho was the US champion until he was out with an injury. He was also too over to drop the title to anyone, so I used the storyline of Bischoff stripping him. This started a big tournament and since Meng was doing so awesome, I rewarded him with winning the tournament.

 2. I'm sure it leans more toward the wrestling industry in the US and your product impact. Check those two and it will most likely give you your answer.
 3.
I'm not understanding this, so hopefully someone can explain it.

I have Sting and DDP in a feud (rated A). They are both in multiple areas an A in popularity. I just had them in a match and both had a match performance of A. The only negative remark in the notes is that it was too short of a match (it was a 15 minute match). They had multiple other positive match notes.

Their overall match grade is a B+. How is it not at least an A rated match? I'm having a really hard time getting A rated matches in this mod. Matches that should be getting an A are getting B-/B. Normally I wouldn't complain, but when you are required to put on consistent A rated shows just to maintain a National status, those A's are really important.

 4.
Update of my 1998 WCW mod.

Just held Halloween Havoc '98 and I've finally gotten hold of my backstage somewhat. I'm hovering right around the 65-72 range and when I'm not getting the negative hit for the backstage rating, I'm firing on all cylinders. My Nitro's have been getting anywhere from a B+ to an A rating for a little while now which is gaining me popularity in all regions, after I've finally passed my restricted phase of gaining popularity after dropping to Cult. I'll be eligible to increase in size again in January, and I'm really looking forward to that.

As for the storylines; the NWO continues to fall apart. Hollywood Hogan became furious of the NWO's losing ways up to War Games. He announced a "cleaning of the house" and declared that anyone in the NWO that loses at Fall Brawl and after would be removed from the NWO because the NWO "doesn't want losers!" This backfired on him quite badly because in the War Games match, Scott Norton took the loss to Team WCW.

The following night on Nitro, the NWO (consisting of Hogan, Hall, Scott Steiner, and The Giant) brutally beat down Norton, effectively kicking him out. This has continued the Savage/Hogan feud as Savage has repeatedly tried to get a match against Hogan. Hogan's dodged the challenges, and said Savage first had to defeat The Giant at Halloween Havoc.

Thinking there was no way Macho would get past the largest athlete in the world, Hogan thought he was safe.....Until Savage beat The Giant at Havoc! Continuing his word, Hogan and the ever dwindling NWO ganged up and kicked the Giant out of the NWO the Nitro after Halloween Havoc. Thinking Savage finally had Hogan, he challenged him to a match at World War 3. Hogan was quick to dodge again though, and put up fellow NWO founder Scott Hall in his place. Hogan's more than confident that Hall will end Savage at WW3, but Hall isn't exactly thrilled because there's more than one reason why Hogan put Hall in the match.........

Scott Hall was on a tear as the United States champion since he took the title off of Booker T in August. Even though his defenses were rare, it didn't seem like anyone would be able to take the title off him, especially since the NWO was constantly watching his back. Enter Chris Jericho; Jericho began the summer in a feud with Bret Hart. After Hart had abruptly walked out of WCW (along with quite a few others, Luger and Nash included), Jericho became upset because it ended their feud out of nowhere. After voicing his displeasure, Savage (who was still in the NWO at this point), told him to put up or shut up. This ended up in a feud between the two which saw Jericho come out on top, also starting the Savage/NWO feud because Hall accidentally cost Savage the match. So this saw Jericho start a feud with Scott Hall over the US title.

Their match at Halloween Havoc was a good one which saw Jericho win the title off Hall. So instead of Hogan kicking Hall out of the NWO, he put him in the match against Savage at WW3. Will Hall be able to redeem himself against Savage, or will the NWO woes continue and actually see a co-founder get kicked out of the NWO??

Bill Goldberg continues his winning ways as WCW Champion since defeating Hollywood Hogan at Road Wild. He has defended the title a few times on Nitro's and Thunder's, but his only PPV defense so far has been at Halloween Havoc against DDP. It was a good match, but nothing compared to their real life match. Goldberg has been locked in a physical feud with Scott Steiner since he has returned from injury in September. The two have actually not had a match yet and no one is sure how the ring can contain these two beasts when they eventually do lock up. The crowd is totally into this feud as it's maxed out at A* and if things continue at this pace, it looks as the two will finally collide at Starrcade. It will be interesting to see how the winner of World War 3's battle royal may impact the winner of the projected Starrcade main event.

Other more minor things going on; Ric Flair and Arn Anderson continue to tease a reformation of the 4 Horsemen, although both are working as faces and Flair has become pretty disgruntled with his lack of momentum lately. He may see returning as the "dirtiest player in the game" as his only hope of reversing his momentum.

DDP is continuing to show signs of unhappiness. He wasn't chosen as a member of Team WCW for War Games, which he said didn't bother him, but his actions since that time have began to show otherwise. What's in store for the People's Champion?

Chris Jericho is the new US Champion and there's talk of WCW possibly replacing Hollywood Hogan with him as the new WCW Figurehead. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months though, because rumor is Jericho's contract will be up and the WWF is sure to get into a bidding war.

Speaking of bidding wars, the Giant is up for contract negotiations and WCW is said to be pretty furious. Apparently, the WWF was not interested in the Giant until WCW offered a contract renewal. The two companies are now locked in a bidding war and WCW's said to be at the "max" of their contract offer. WCW has lost quite a few talents to the WWF, notably Kevin Nash and Eddie Guerrero after those two had walked out on their WCW contracts earlier this year. WCW had also attempted to sign Sid Vicious to help add some depth at heels, however, the WWF again got into a bidding war with Sid after showing no interest in him until WCW offered a contract. Sid took the WWF deal, which didn't help WCW's momentum. It's safe to say that the WWF, at this point, is just trying to prevent WCW from signing anyone with any notoriety. As a result, WCW is trying to lock down their top talent to long term deals and they're already planning ahead for the sure battle for Chris Jericho.

 5.
WCW 1998 mod. After Piper, Nash, Luger, Scotty Riggs, Elizabeth, Bret Hart, and now Eddie Guerrero all walked out on me, it's been a rough first couple of months to start. I've dropped to Cult level and am now stuck for at least 6 months.

I was unable to job them out in the 14 days notice I was given because they either refused due to their given creative control or they were suspended. I'm hurting with a big gap of star power between my main event and under card. At first, I thought about scrapping and starting over due to both I had just started the game and because of the horrible morale/backstage issues. I've decided to try and stick with it though. I shouldn't have any other top talents leave. I still have Booker, Jericho, Benoit, Scott Hall, and DDP that I can build on for future main event talent. I've also signed Lance Storm.

I managed to get the title off of Hogan due to his creative control headaches and put it on Goldberg. Scott Steiner has just returned from injury and I plan a big, long term feud between the two. In order to keep Hogan away from the title, I put him in a feud with Savage. After that's over, he'll feud with Scott Hall and put an end to the NWO once and for all. I'll hopefully go right back to National after my 6 month restriction.

 6.
Just now July 1998 in my WCW game. I've only gone maybe a month so far and I'm going into Bash at the Beach.

Thus far, Roddy Piper (thanks to Nash totally turning the locker room), Lex Luger, Elizabeth, Riggs (big deal), and Kevin Nash have handed in their notice on leaving.

I thought I was safe and clear of anyone else handing in their notice after salvaging some morale issues when I was dropped with the bombshell;

Bret Hart is leaving in 14 days.

It's getting to the point where I'm not going to have enough people to build up stars. Booker, Benoit, Jericho, and Guerrero are all only at C overness and I'm building towards a US title match with them for the PPV.

Part of me wants to totally scrap this as I'm barely a month in and this is totally falling apart. The other part of me wants to continue it to see what will happen. It's forcing me to come up with new pushes, but at this rate I'm not going to have anyone to push them against.

 7. Playing the 1998 mod as WCW. I have just begun the game and things are already spiraling out of control. I'm a day out of the Great American Bash (which is the first PPV). Kevin Nash has been on a complete tear since the game started on Roddy Piper. He has continuously created backstage heat on Piper and it's gotten so bad that Piper has handed in his notice and will be leaving in 14 days. I've done what I could via the editor, but there was just no saving this. I considered for a minute canning Nash because of it and keeping Piper, but Piper has so many negative relationships now my backstage rating is a 1%. I'll be relieved to see him go so my rating will improve. Lex Luger was the next to hand in his notice. Luger, who was busted for hard drugs, became pissed when I sent him to rehab. He was previously pissed because Liz, who was also busted for hard drug use, was sent to rehab. My next big concern is Bret Hart. He became furious after the British Bulldog, who was busted for hard drug use (big surprise), was sent to rehab. Call me crazy, but shouldn't friends be happy that someone is going to rehab to help curb their drug use and possibly save their life? I feel like any time now I'm going to get the email that Hart's handed in his notice, which at that point will really screw things over. I'm half tempted to toss this mod in the trash and try the 1997 one.
 8. Thanks. So there's no page anymore that gives a rundown of all the ratings? Bummer.
 9.
Maybe I'm just too tired and completely looking past it, but where can you view TV ratings? I got the email on the rating I had for Nitro, but I want to compare it to Raw's rating and I can't find it anywhere.

It's not in the same place as it was in TEW '13.

 10.

I think a Piper vs Warrior feud could be fascinating.

I first read this as Piper vs Warlord and was trying to think why you would be promoting that, and then I realized it was Warrior.

Then I thought a Piper vs Warlord feud would be fantastic!

 11.
Simming a COTT mod and a few odd things happened.

The WWF have signed the Ultimate Warrior and put him as the figurehead over Bret Hart.

Yokozuna recaptured the WWF world title from Bret Hart.

Overall things are about as "normal" as they can be in the WWF. I can't say the same for WCW as things have really gotten bizarre.

Terry Funk is the reigning World Champion, having defeated Hulk Hogan at Starrcade '94 and is still going strong (July 1995). WCW just held the Bash at the Beach which headlining was Terry Funk defending the world title against Jim Duggan.

The Giant has debuted and is enhancement talent.

They went on a hiring spree of complete unknown talent and features them on a regular basis.

Meng is the US champion and HHH is the TV champion. Normally this wouldn't be bad, but when they're defending the title against guys like "The Crypt Keeper" and Skip Young, it's quite anti-climatic.

Dusty Rhodes is the booker and they've just fallen to Cult.

The last one that is a complete bummer, is like I said it's July 1995 and Brian Pillman has died. This was not a heart attack, but rather falling into a vat of liquid nitrogen and shattering into tiny frozen pieces. Normally I'd be entertained, but seeing as how this is so close to when he died in real life, it's just sad. I was hoping he'd have a full career in this game.

 12. Awesome! I wanted a proper 1999 mod for so long on '13 and one was never made. Really looking forward to this one. Depending on the reviews, I'll more than likely buy the game once this is out.
 13. I haven't been too successful with conversions because I usually end up with a run time error. I haven't done one in a long time though. I may look into that, thanks for the suggestion! I just want to find one where not many people have done it. I may look into an alternate verse too.
 14. I'm looking into possibly starting a dynasty. It would be a real world database but I'm wanting to get the most interest as possible. I did a fairly successful dynasty with TEW 2010 and then 13 was released which brought an end to it. That mod was with WCW 2000. I don't think I want to do 1994. There's already a couple of those. I'm currently doing a single player WCW 2001 mod and am not interested in that for a dynasty. I'd be interested in 1999 but there's not any mod for that. What are some suggestions from you guys on what you'd like to see?
 15. Really enjoying what you're doing overall with this. I caught up on all of it since last night. The Hogan/Piper swerve at Bash at the Beach was fantastic and really unpredicted. When I read Piper showed up, I fully expected him to blast Hogan and align with Flair. Nice to see you went your own creative way, it really changes how things will go. Not too excited to see Dustin Rhodes getting involved in the main event, but I can let that go. My predictions; "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff - Flair needs the momentum. He won't lose, but you'll do something to keep Orndorff's momentum up. Vader and Ron Simmons vs. Sting and Flyin' Brian - I see a draw or DQ or countout finish on this. You'll need to keep everyone strong. Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Brian Armstrong - Duggan wins. It'd be funny and interesting for a heel turn from him and joining K.o.W. Non-Title: Stunning Steve Austin vs. Terry Taylor - Non title, but Austin still wins. "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright vs. Steve Keirn - Wright wins to build him up. Johnny B. Badd vs. Bunkhouse Buck - Badd gets the win.
