Is it possible to turn a level of realism off in the game by removing fatigue? Say if you wanted to run monthly or even weekly shows with the same crop of fighters, is that achievable?

Then it was a case of a few Index and Match formulas to pull the skills and stuff together, then it was just a case of making some radar charts on that data.</p><p> </p><p> I can take a couple screens of the formulas later when I get to my pc tonight. For the last TEW, I popped the whole excel file up for download but the underlying bits and pieces are a bit messy and I'd like to polish it bit before I try that again.</p><p> </p><p> I'm also open to suggestions on how to make it a bit better in terms of cleanliness and additions etc.</p>

CWW definitely seems perfect for a league format.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Cheers mate, in '16 I made my own companies to do this but as you say CWW seemed perfect. I need to take a little bit of creative license such as turning off match aims etc. but really it seems they were ready to go out of the box.</p><p> </p><p> The funny thing is once it's set up its so easy to rattle through shows and you got some genuinely shocking results at times too. </p><p> </p><p> I simply use a fixture list generator (<a href="https://www.fixturelist.com/createlist" rel="external nofollow">https://www.fixturelist.com/createlist</a>) to create the league fixtures and then random.org for the tournaments then that's a full years worth of matches all done!</p>
-
<p>I started transforming my CWW as mentioned above into a Premier League, World Rankings, Cup style promotion.</p><p> </p><p>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Premier League</strong></span></p><p>
This is the list of participants in what will be the first season, ignore the Semi-Finals as they are just lookups against the current positions. Top 4 compete in a Grand Final, bottom gets relegation and 8th/9th compete in a relegation playoff.</p><p>
<img alt="bMyNnVm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bMyNnVm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
This is how the league is going to be laid out. 9 matches so everyone wrestles each other and random wildcard match each to take it up to 10.</p><p>
<img alt="gZ6k9w7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gZ6k9w7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Shield</strong></span></p><p>
Ive also added a couple of tournaments (Shield - lower level, Cup - higher level, Survival - starts 4 vs 4 winners then split to tag team then the winners face each other in the final, and a Battle Royale).</p><p>
<img alt="p4md6rQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/p4md6rQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>World Rankings</strong></span></p><p>
The World Rankings are built up based on achievements over the past rolloing 3 seasons. They key to the right shows how they get their points.</p><p>
<img alt="ylBr0wo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ylBr0wo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
I never pick the winners of the matches but I do put in RA notes to make the matches as good as possible e.g. "Call in Ring" where applicable etc.</p><p> </p><p>
<span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Comparator</strong></span></p><p>
I have also been working on a comparator tool that reads from the saved game data, this will help me identify which rookie wrestler could be the next to get into the Premier League.</p><p>
<img alt="VsWVyd6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VsWVyd6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
This all does make my Events schedule rather busy though haha but I have it all planned out at least:</p><p>
<img alt="0kqz7eI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0kqz7eI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p>
<img alt="OuHuYts.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OuHuYts.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
As the company grows, the plan is to make a second division, a womens division and a tag team tournament. Also a weekly TV Roadshow with a touring champion.</p><p> </p><p>
I appreciate that is a bit of a mammoth post... but yeah thats my plan for CWW haha.</p>

This, the large majority hate this new interface and it’s embarrassing to imply that it’s a “vocal minority” rather than to accept a glaring flaw with an otherwise great game
Nah mate, I think you have the wrong end of the stick on that one. The vocal minority are the ones calling for a complete overhaul. That's just not feasible at this point in the development cycle. What most people have been calling for is simply a review on colour scheme, border thickness etc. and some UI tweaks to make it easier on the eye, which he addressed as something they are looking at.
-
Fair play to Adam, took criticisms on the chin, made a very tough call to knock the date back for release especially from a business aspect. His entire customer base are locked in their homes for a while and many will have bought on release day with this being a driving factor.
Taking a step back, receiving, acknowledging and reacting for the feedback he got, can't really argue with the decision he has made.
I'm gutted as I downloaded Kam's skin and haven't looked back, I've been enjoying the hell out of the game since.
-
I've set CWW as a somewhat legitimate company. They're already my favourite company in the game.
I've got a Premier League, Cup and Shield tournaments set up and its run similar to the darts in real life.
-
I believe we can create default "Call in Ring" or "Script" notes. It would be a nice time saver if we could also add others in as default for example "Slow Build", "Open Match", "Decisive Win" etc. I use these sort of notes pretty much every match so having them pre-populated would be great!
-
I don't suppose any legend of a skin maker can make the briefest of tutorials on how they go about making a skin could they? I have GIMP and have done the odd alt TVerse image but that's where my experience starts and ends ha.
Much appreciated for this Idolized mate.

Quick question, how do I find my workers alter ego's?
Just had a click around there mate, when you get onto a worker, click their picture, it then has a button in their profile for Alter Ego's.
-
<p>Title / Championship descriptions, what a nice touch. </p><p>
Also, the descriptions for growing in size, it really adds meat to the bones. Talking to workers too, great stuff.</p>
-
It doesnt necessarily have to be gameplay mate, literally any question regarding the game that doesnt require a full thread.
-
I did a search but couldn't find this TEW's iteration of the small questions thread. So I thought I'd make one.
I have a question regarding event revival and dormant statuses. When you select a month to revive an event or indeed make it dormant, a small text box appears next to it, however I cant find what that box is used for, any ideas?
Also, I'm pretty confident that the tournament feature is just cosmetic and for planning purposes, is this correct?
-
I mean, that's hardly a fair comparison. Two of the things you mentioned are licensing issues, and the other is very, very rare and only happens when they quickly patch in an emerging young player (usually after a cup debut).
Maybe, but I don't think the reasoning behind inconsistency is necessarily relevant in this case. I took the point at surface-value of is the inconsistency an issue in other $35+ games. Well, it is. Fair enough there are reasons behind it, but it's still inconsistent regardless.
-
<p>Footy manager has some clubs without badges and some with badges, FIFA has some players without pictures in career mode, PES has some pictures as generic renders and some as real photos.</p><p>
I think a lot of games can be very inconsistent when it comes to static images tbh mate.</p><p> </p><p>
In an absolutely ideal world consistency across would be great, some are showing their age now a bit, but I don't think its an expectancy for the price point personally. I did hope we might have seen a couple of updated ones as some there are still from TEW's first iteration lol.</p>

This has made me go from not being able to play the game to buying it on release. I'm sure it will for many others too. Superb work Kam, I can't wait to play this now. Just installed it and clicked around, it's so much easier.

<p>Shawn has put together some nail on the head posts regarding the UI as far as I'm concerned.</p><p> </p><p>
You can absolutely tell this game has been a labour of love, you can see how much thought and consideration has gone into these new game mechanics. It's also been a service to the fans as many user suggestions have been implemented.</p><p> </p><p>
For me however, this is sadly overshadowed by a very unfriendly user interface. Big blocky bold data grids completely take your attention away from the information, the worker screen is such an eye sore that I cant concentrate on any single element without my eyes being drawn away somewhere else. For the first time playing a video game, I experienced a headache playing it.</p><p> </p><p>
I will never go out of my way to unnecessarily criticise someone's development they have clearly worked so hard on, but as this can and frankly will impact my purchase of the full game I feel I needed to give an opinion.</p><p> </p><p>
I must reiterate again what Shawn has said too, this is in now way attempting to put Adam or the team down at all. I genuinely would have thought some of these issues would have been fed back sooner though.</p>

This would be one of the only things I would disagree with Derek on. You can't compare acting on a wrestling TV show with real-life trained movie actors.
I think with a lot of the default angles being based on a combination of the entertainment attributes that does make sense. Acting being relative to the world of wrestling is a sensible approach too. I have always personally been quite stringent to Derek's definitions though with him being very much an in-depth quality tester for the game.
Maybe having them too low will make entertainment angles suffer as a result. My personal preference is to have the angles split out a bit so that a standard promo is purely microphone where charisma would help bump it up, used really to get the "butts in seats". Acting could maybe then be judged on actual storyline segments to help the storylines along etc. I think that is more in-game mechanics though tbf.
Charisma ideally should be an underlying attribute of the whole worker, not just entertainment. Their in-ring and promos etc. could then be influenced by it. That leaves Microphone and Acting as the two Entertainment attributes that can be split on promo work (mic) and storyline (acting) segments.
That's a bit of a digression anyway, cheers for clarifying your approach. As I say, it's a sensible way of dealing with it.
-
Just a quick take on the Acting attribute, I saw Derek B wrote the following:
Acting: Generally speaking, this is going to be a stat that is the lowest of the Entertainment group for most wrestlers. Wrestlers can generally play their own character but they are not trained actors, which can generally be evidenced by how badly their movies do. Hulk Hogan is a terrible actor (probably as low as the 50s or maybe 60s) compared to his charisma and mic skills (80s). Acting is about all the little non-verbal things that people can do, the subtleties that communicate something that words aren’t. It might be a little expression, a look or a tic of some sort… just those little things that you might not even notice but that sell the character to you in the context of what is going on. Given that wrestling is closer to pantomime than movie acting, this stat is something that most wrestlers aren’t as good at since they are looking to scale things up rather than be subtle. There aren’t many wrestlers now that I’d give more than an 80 to in this stat, but one of them would be The Rock, who has proven he is better than your average. Another would be The Undertaker… admittedly he doesn’t do anything except be Undertaker, but he has so many little things he can do that he is one of the best actors in pro wrestling. It might be worth universally dropping Acting a bit if the above is accurate. I would imagine the likes of Bray, Taker, even Dustin Rhodes would be relativley high (say 80 or so?) but there aren't many guys out there at the moment that would maybe be considered really good in the acting department. I think many mods group the 3 entertainment atttibutes together but they are very unique of each other.
Just wondering on your opinions on this?
Cheers.

Oh sorry, I think I've led you on a merry dance. I meant the pdf I uploaded last week at some point, not the one I included with the data last time. He's certainly not in last releases data, but you can rest assured he is in the next one.
Ah haha fair does mate, thanks for clearing it up buddy.
-
He's already in. I shared a pdf with the changes so far and that should have been on it.
Might be my eyes but I can't see him in the pdf mate. Searched for him in the data too but..... no dice. I'll see myself out.
Thanks a lot for taking the other bits into consideration too, much appreciated.
-
Not officially.
Although he
did show up on Dynamite last night
Cobb is still a free agent more or less right now. He's been working with ROH without a contract. And I've read a couple of sources that indicate that he's doing the same with AEW.
If he is making appearances for them, I would say to just whack a PPA on him.

<p>Just a few NWA notes:</p><p> </p><p>
- The company have a very strong working relationship with RoH</p><p>
- The show is called Powerrr (3 'r's)</p><p>
- No logo is set to the company</p><p> </p><p>
- Eddie Kingston works with NWA under PPA</p><p>
- Thunder Rosa works with NWA under PPA and is the Women's Champion</p><p>
- Melina works with NWA under PPA</p><p>
- Sean Mooney is an announcer for the company</p><p>
- Scott Steiner made 2 appearances so far... not sure if that is worth a PPA or not</p><p>
- RoH Tag team "The Bouncers" worked the last Powerrr show</p><p> </p><p>
- Ricky Starks is the Television Champion</p><p>
- James Storm and Eli Drake are the Tag Team champions and both work as faces</p><p>
- The Dawsons should probably both be heavyweights and are managed by Pope</p><p>
- Nick Aldis has a stable called Strictly Business with Tom Latimer, Royce Isaacs and Kamille</p><p>
- Tim Storm should probably have a boost in OVR as he works a lot higher up the card from Opener, maybe Upper Midcard</p><p>
- Sal Rinauro works as a Face</p><p>
- Mr. Anderson works as a Heel</p><p>
- Caleb Konley works as a face</p><p>
- Allysin Kay works as a face</p><p>
- Marty Scurll is set to Midcarder but is one of the company's top stars in their main program with Aldis and probably possesses one of the higher name values in the company</p><p>
- Marti Belle is aligned with Thunder Rosa and Melina as heels</p><p>
- Jocephus works under the name "The Question Mark"</p><p> </p><p>
EDIT: I believe Zicky Dice needs to be created in the game and added to the roster too</p>

Little quality of life improvements like this are what seperate top developers from good developers in my opinion. Doing this shows you are thinking about your consumer base and their ease of use experience at the forefront.
These little changes might not seem as game changing to some as the run child companies feature but they will end up being a huge factor for general game-time. Brilliant.
