A few of those things were intentionally challenges as I felt just simply taking over a promotion that's the most popular in their region could get a little boring. But it's all their to be altered to however you like to play, which is the other good thing about INSPIRES is that it doesn't take too much adjusting on day one to get them how you like them. I know it made my game with them more fun. But yeah there are a lot of guys who, outside of losing on tour shows, are pretty useless bless 'em!

WLW starts out a little ahead in company pop and are killing me in the national battles. Emerald Angel has had eight matches in four months, and just one has rated lower than a 94 (four 99s). Sensational Dragon can fart out a 95 match in his sleep too. INSPIRES doesn't have much to compare to that - my best match is a 97 and the next highest is a 95,. It wasn't even the main event!

  2. So I'm about four months in my INSPIRES save and I'm thinking of revamping the structure of the company - cutting the dead weight, getting rid of the brands and sticking to Japan.

    1) Other than Remo and Oleg the Destroyer, there aren't enough workers with high popularity to get high show grades outside of Japan. Which leads to...

    2) Getting killed in the national battle

    3) Didn't realize this when I started, but workers with high pop in the US, but low in Japan, means they can help get high match ratings, but no one with high pop in Japan will want to lose to them (had to redo three months worth of shows)

    4) So many shows to book...

    5) Many of the workers on the Worldwide brand can't work

    6) Can't get high enough show grades to keep from annoying the PPV companies in Japan and the US, which means workers can't gain pop there (they barely gain any for tour shows as it is)

I like the idea of two brands (and this is by no means an attack on what @lavelleuk has done here - it's amazing), but for a human-controlled company (namely, me), it might be best to change things up. I'd consider doing maybe a one-month tour in the US for the US Heavyweight Tournament. And what to do with all of those titles...?

    Thoughts?

First of all I would like to thank you @lavelleuk for this amazing mod, actually I haven't played TEW as much since you released this insane database. I've played saves with TCW, NEO and SNP, which oddly didn't give me too much backstage issues except stars building cliques, but anyways it's a whole lot of fun so far !
I started a save with INSPIRES and i had a question regarding their schedule, I had anticipated that the december tour would be my "G1 Climax" with each block representing each brand. But you set this tour for 26 shows. If i want to do a "G1 Climax" with 10 wrestlers on each block so it means 18 shows with a 19th as the final. As I don't want to modify the schedule you've done I wondered how did you imagine this december tour ?

I'm playing with INSPIRES now and I significantly cut back their schedule, mostly because I didn't have the patience to book that many shows without it feeling repetitive. I currently have each brand running about 7-8 tour shows per month, plus whatever PPVs they have.

  4. This was from TEW 2013, but I assume it still holds true:

1: Is already being tipped as a huge star for years to come = > 95 overness A+
2: is definitely one to watch, the sky seems to be the limit of where his career can go = 88 > 94 A- to A possibly A+
3: is somebody who should be handled carefully, as it's clear that the <30 year old has all the raw materials needed to create a big star in the future = 83 > 88 B+ to A - possibly A
4: " there is a lot of talk that Xis a potential break-out star, there seems to be an almost tangible sense of destiny with the <30 year old" in Hot Prospects <78 > 83 C+ to B
    5: "Worker might still be young...." < 73-78 C+ to B range
    6: Dark Horse for future Success 67- 73 C to C+

1: Turn into an phenomenal worker (highest quality of worker) A or A* Psychology + solid other performance
    2: Fantastic
    3: Exceptional in ring worker
    4: Really Fine
    5: Very, Very Good
    6: Very Good

This is in the "Hot Prospects" section in Creative.

  5. It's the only proper big Japanese promotion in the mod + very interesting roster + inspire factor. Their no. of titles is a bit overwhelming, so I turned off a few of them, and it's a fun company to play around.

People were starved for proper Japanese promotion in the game, considering 2020 BHOTWG and PGHW were bare-bones and underwhelming. Only UPJ (Fantastic promotion) offered that experience, but it's in T-verse.

I just finished my first month using INSPIRES - getting used to the Japanese schedule and number of titles took awhile to get accustomed. I'm also having a really hard time getting good match/show grades using the Worldwide brand. I've found the number of good workers on the Domestic brand far outweighs the number on the Worldwide brand.

  6. So with INSPIRES the worldwide shows obviously take place in regions where the workers don't have the sane level of popularity as the domestic brand. So the reason I can't put every big event as just "normal" is because it would tank the workers pop in Japan due to a bad showing, and the companies popularity in Japan due to a bad event

But like you say I still want the tour leading to an event where title defenses happen and big stars appear

Gotcha - that makes perfect sense.

  7. Yeah by the time I got to INSPIRES I decided to just go crazy! Tbh should be easier enough to delete a load to make a smaller schedule

I definitely think I'll look into doing that - should make it less tedious to get through some of those months.

What was your thought process behind the INSPIRES Worldwide brand schedule? They have several 'lesser' events on their international tours and much fewer 'normal' events than the Domestic brand. Are the lesser events intended for major title defenses and appearances from top stars?

  8. Change the timeslot for SupremeTV to Late Night.

I wouldn't even do that, I agree it's tough at first as it's a high minimum, you have to nail the storyline heat. The starting stories make that difficult.

As it turns out, getting dropped worked well for me. I put SupremeTV on my own network and my revenue went through the roof! I earned ~$1.6M in January and in April I'm up to almost $10M. Plus I created a separate PPV network for overseas territories that has worked too. Blessing in disguise!

  9.
Welp - I got dropped by CANN. I'm a veteran TEW player, but I'm having the damndest time getting good grades, in either angles, matches or shows. My top show grade is an 81 (!). My top matches are a pair of 85s, and one wasn't even a main event. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but four-way brawls with Golden, Scythe, Rogue and Remo are giving me jack squat. I've even re-run shows to try and get better ratings so I wouldn't lose popularity and even that didn't help much.

Luckily I already have SWF Network set up, so I guess Supreme TV will go there for the time being - I'll just miss out on broadcast revenue. I really don't want to start over, but TBH, I don't know how much I can do differently.

  10. With the new 'feature' of having certain roles during a segment decay and lessen ratings the longer it goes on (overness/charisma/sex appeal etc...), what do people do for promos where there are workers solely there for their menace or sex appeal (think Chyna during D-X promos or Kane during Paul Bearer promos)? Short angles don't get high ratings, but longer angles get penalized when there are workers there not doing anything.
  11. I recently went looking for Eisen-Verse's TEW13 dynasty Where Men Become Legends, but it seems that it didn't survive the messageboard reorganization. Is anyone able to look in the backend of the board and see if it's still there somewhere? Would be a shame if it was lost forever.

I think this was a link to it:

  12. Has anyone amped up the amount of RIPW shows (in which to give your development wrestlers more in-ring practice)? I was thinking about creating a weekly event; however, I'm not really sure if it would be a waste financially (i.e. a lot of money for little payoff).

On another note, I thought I read somewhere in the past that you could secure TV show broadcasts for your child company. Is that true or am I just losing it? ha. If so, how does one go about that?

I definitely will give them a weekly show - more realistic in my opinion. I did in the demo but never looked at the finances of it - I can't imagine it's that much of a hit for SWF to make it not worth it just from the development aspect of it.

I'm also planning on putting them on the SWF Network, that way when you call them up, they aren't completely unknowns all over the US.

  13. anyone got any ideas on a good manager for a new stable of mine? It consists of Scythe, Primus Allen and Bear Bekowski and its called The Infernal Chaos. They were formed due to Scythe's loss against Golden, so Scythe has recruited other members so he can have enough force to destroy Golden for good. I'd ideally like someone with a demonic/dark undertone to be the mouthpiece for the stable but I can't think of anyone to fit the bill. I thought of hiring Travis Century for the role but he's apparently got an addiction to pain pills.

    any ideas?

John Greed? He has an occult gimmick. That's who I'm using.

  14. so what is your idea for the Des Davids vs Lenny Brown fued.

Basically Davids says Brown has "weak-ass Hollywood blood" in him and he isn't tough enough to take the title from him (Brown has a Hollywood Cool gimmick). Davids defeats Brown at the January PPV.

ZWB wins #1 contender match but his title match is interrupted by a Brown attack on Davids - he attacked b/c of something personal Davids said about Brown. ZWB didn't like his title challenge getting interrupted so he attacks Brown later and they have a 3-way match at the February PPV.

Davids gets upset in non-title match in March so he defends the title the next week and beats down his opponent after the match, but Brown runs out for the save. Davids tells Brown if he wants one more shot, Davids wants to make it count and wants as few rules as possible getting in the way of beating his ass, so he proposes a no-DQ match. Brown accepts, Davids retains.

That's it. No idea who Davids takes on after that.

  15. Anyone else enjoy writing your midcard feuds than the main event ones? The storylines involving up-and-coming workers always seem to come more naturally and are more fun.

For instance, I have a storyline in SWF where I resurrect the DAVE Unified title and have it fought under no-DQ rules. I have Eric Tyler come in and mentor Steven Parker to turn him into a bloodthirsty monster and have him take that title. I have almost the whole thing written out through Supreme Challenge. The Des Davids vs Lenny Brown was easy to plan out, as was John Greed creating a dark cult starring Scythe. I'll soon have one where Bret Starr leads a legacy stable with Matty Faith, SoVen, James Diaz and Dreadnought. Looking forward to that one.

I haven't written a thing on the Rogue vs Remo vs Valiant program, and only have a vague idea on where to go with Golden's title reign. I want to put Gilmore and Atom Smasher together but don't have a good idea for them (trying hard not to rip off Eisen-verse). The heavyweight title programs are almost always the ones I write last and really have to force something decent.
