  2. So I've decided to roll back the clock and make a 2016 mod. The difference is, this won't be an imported database from TEW16 but rather a fresh one, in order to avoid any mistakes. This first post will periodically be updated (as will the thread) as I work through the mod, but here's to bringing back GCG...... I mean playing 16 on a much improved engine

  5. EXODUS 2010 on SHOGUN TV Episode #3, recorded in Tokyo Report by Zeal of The Puro Review Announcers: Tanosuke Joshuyo & Takeji Komagata vs. Musashi vs. X-Calibre Neither man has their seconds out with them tonight as their tag title match is on the horizon. For an X-Calibre match, this is pretty straight forward with few comedy spots (if any). Instead, Calibre seems focused (perhaps from not reading Battle Royale all night like a couple of weeks ago?) and while Musashi brings the fight, it's X-Cal who picks up the win with the Springboard 450. X-Calibre d. Musashi, 12:43, 53 vs. The Disco Boys vs. The Order of the Dragon (Young Lions) This is largely a comedy match between one of the best comedy teams on the roster (The Disco Boys) and the Young Lions of the Order of the Dragon. While it seems like the young lions might be able to pull off the upset, Shoda & Hanari show why their experience isn't anything to blink at as they manage to out maneuver the Young Lions at every chance they get and Shoda locks Sumiyuki in the Around the World Armbar for a submission. Disco Boys d. OOTD, 6:09, 42 Tag Entrances, Pretty & Shirai are upset with the referee - 47 vs. Massive Thunder vs. Hustle-X This seems more about Okakura and Tsurimi and putting Shimpei Hirose over before his huge title shot at the tour finale show than anything else. It's pretty academic as well as all four men work in some big spots, but it's Shimpei taking advantage of Okakura arguing with Tsurimi to get the Mountain Sleeper on his partner and the tap out victory. Massive Thunder d. Hustle X, 22:06, 62 EXODUS 2010 Presents APEX PREDATOR 2020 EXODUS 2010 WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Champion, Masao Tsubouchi vs. #1 Contender, Shimpei Hirose EXODUS 2010 WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Champions, H-X vs. #1 Contenders, The Revengers EXODUS 2010 ALL-ASIA JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Champion, Tobei Sugimura vs. #1 Contender, Kaoru Shibasawa Burning EXILE vs. ??? Boom, targeted.</p><p> Am I short on tag teams? I'll find some that fit.</p><p> </p><p> Always try to fit what my promotion will need though. I won't hire a super heavyweight in ACPW for example.</p>
  7. EXODUS 2010 & All Canada Pro announce partnership Fresh off the second weekend of television shows from EX20, a press release from Montreal came out announcing a new partnership between EX20 & ACPW. The partnership entails both a talent trade and an excursion agreement. Burning EXILE commented to Japanese media that "it made perfect sense considering the two promotions' similarities," and promised other similar announcements to come out as it seems that EXILE is attempting to gather more international allies with his TV deal. Daedaius Buchinsky was also excited by the prospect of young lions attempting to cut their teeth in All Canada and toyed with the idea that perhaps one of his men will walk out of the Grand Prix with trophy in hand down the road, also was a promising aspect. "Both companies are on the rise right now, and to do business cordially is the best for both companies to continue to grow. We both offer alternatives in our countries and I am excited to see what will happen." Immediately following the press release, ACPW.com updated their Facebook page to announce that Kyuzo Isogai has signed a 3 year deal and is on his way to Montreal.

These are four of the most decorated men in EXODUS 2010 history and Tsuneyo is the only one over 30. The rebellious attitude of Massive Thunder sits well with the youngsters (as well as some foreign fans on Reddit) but the elders of the crowd as well as the ladies boo. The boos light a fire under the champ, who has seen enough and makes a blind tag in and begins to clean house! But as he is moving so fast, with lariats and hurricanranas and cross bodies, he accidentally takes out partner Tsuneyo Yanagimoto! 9. EXODUS 2010 on SHOGUN TV Episode #1, recorded in Tokyo Report by Zeal of The Puro Review A 2 hour block of puro every Saturday night, plus events? Count me in. For many, this is almost a harken back to the Modern Japan Movement, but EX20 has maintained they will tour, and the first hour of TV will be episodic while the second hour will be tour highlights from the week prior. How it turns out will all depend, but we here at the Puro Review will cover every detail. As an American living in Japan, I personally love it. As a Puro fan, I am unsure of how they will manage to do this. Announcers: Tanosuke Joshuyo & Takeji Komagata The show begins with a graphic showing tonight's main event: the EXODUS 2010 World Junior Heavyweight Championship is on the line between Burning EXILE and the champ, Masao Tsubouchi. Both men point out how Tsubouchi lost to EXILE last time they met. vs. HUSTLE-X (Pretty Okakura & Shirai Yanagawa) vs. The Young Lions of the Order of the Dragon (Dial K for Kotani & Sumiyuki Samura) This is a light hearted match featuring young lions doing what they are bred to do: lose. Okakura gets into it with referee Tsurimi when he attempts to use Tsurimi's original sunglasses as a weapon, but instead forces them on Samura's face which threw the youngster off long enough to be hit with a snap DDT and STF from Okakura for the win at 5:57. HUSTLE-X d. The Young Lions, 5:57, 41 NEXT WEEK: The Legion vs. Kaoru Shibasawa & Orange Tsuchie The announcers discuss Masao's remarks as we get a shot of Burning Exile warming up backstage. They wonder if Masao's losing record against EXILE will come back to haunt him tonight. vs. Kaoru Shibasawa & H-X vs. Art of War This is a bit different than the last match, much faster paced, less comedic and a lot of tags. The Art of War seems to be much more smooth than Kaoru & H-X. The announcers remark how Kaoru is in line to prove he can once again be the All-Asia Champion, but the Art of War members would love to foil his and H-X's plans with a win, bumping them up in both the All Asia and Tag rankings. And foil is the name of the game as a mistimed tag from Kaoru sends an already exhausted X-Calibre into the lion's den, being hit with a cutter and Phoenix Splash from Japanese Phoenix, ending this bout in 12:33.[/i] Art of War d. Kaoru Shibasawa & H-X, 12:33, 59 The Art of War celebrates, as the announcers remind viewers what this means. For those in the arena who are unfamiliar with EXODUS 2010 tradition, X-Calibre grabs a microphone and tells Phoenix that he and Musashi have a title shot in 3 weeks at the tour finale Apex Predator! v. EXODUS 2010 WORLD JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Masao Tsubouchi © vs. Burning EXILE The announcers paint the picture. In one corner, a man who's career is almost longer than the opponent. In the other, a proud champion who can't overcome his mentor, his master, his greatest advisary. Rumors had it this was a match from above, as EXILE was hoping to use this as retirement match. But, this is also a big debut for EXODUS, so why not put two of their best out there? This is a great back and forth, but two things are abundantly clear: the torch has been passed (Masao is the ace) and EXILE is either not happy to work TV or is showing his age a lot quicker than many thought he would. This match would be better if EXILE wasn't gasping for air. It's almost as if the elder has lost any athletic ability. Still, Masao is able to carry him and wins the first main event in EXODUS TV history with his beautiful BRAINBUSTER at 22:02. Masao Tsubouchi d. Burning EXILE, 22:02, 75
  10. Chapter 1. - Not the Yakuza, although our business is similar After World Level's Yakuza scandal and Koji Kojima's departure from the business, it seemed like everyone began to question who ran EXODUS 2010. My name was never a good enough answer, especially since the company was registered under an umbrella corporation. Yoshi (Oshiro) didn't like to talk publicly much, but began to attend conferences in 2018, shortly after the scandal broke. And at every press conference I had questions about not only WLW's demise, but also who the men behind EXODUS 2010 were. And every press conference, I returned the questions back to the event at hand, or the upcoming tour, or the championship match to promote. But I think the worst one was the one at the end of 2019. Whenever we saw "real" press there, we knew it was a Yakuza question. If we were getting it bad, I could only imagine what Komine & Kurofuji were getting. Before we could even begin, the journalist tried to pepper Yoshi with questions about the Yakuza. One of Yoshi's other associates, Takeo, was there and when Yoshi was being peppered, Takeo stood up. He introduced himself as a member of the board of the directors, and clarified that the men behind EXODUS 2010 were not the Yakuza, although our business is similar. And much to the shock of the 10 or so journalists, myself and Watari, Takeo also informed the group that he was a member of the board of directors for Shogun TV. "When my partners and I were brought into this venture, with Mr. EXILE, there was one thing in mind: how can we make money. And Mr. EXILE has done that, to the point that beginning the very first week of the new year, Shogun TV executives have agreed, at my behest, to air EXODUS 2010 exclusively." No more internet streams. No more hawking DVDs on our twitters. No more grainy footage. I looked at Watari, and wondered if he could see I was making the same shocked look as him. I began to calculate what this meant: we were doing 2-3 shows a week already, I had no clue if we could handle anymore. Unless he meant highlights of the tours? "It will be recorded separately from the tours, giving fans a chance to watch the best action every Saturday on Shogun! In addition, we will be airing highlights from our live tour show on Sunday mornings and every tour finale will be on Shogun TV, live!" The journalist looked embarrassed and sat down. Then one of the marks stood up and asked what the main event of the first show would be. Takeo responded with gusto: "Burning EXILE will try regain what is rightfully his: the World Junior Heavyweight Championship!!" This was not in the plans. This was not the course Watari and I had planned out for 2020. My goal was to pass the company on, not promote myself as the face of it. I shook my head as Takeo kept talking and promoting, as I scribbled on a notepad furiously. I passed the note to Yoshi who read it, nodded and I counted the minutes until this man finished talking. As soon as he did, Yoshi said the presser was over and happy new year. Thankfully. In a few moments, the four of us were in a limousine, on someone's dime, and getting driven over for dinner. I glared at Yoshi through my mask. He, obviously, didn't notice. Watari, however, had no shame. "So now we know why they sent you Yoshi. This fool would get us all in a ton of trouble!" Takeo laughed at being called a fool nd reminded both Watari and I what he had just done. "Imagine," he said with the same gusto as at the presser, "New Year, New chances to prove yourself Oniji. You're not ready for retirement, you're ready to be a star! And first it'll be on Shogun, but let me tell you something - I have connections with every TV station in Tokyo. You'll be a redemption story! On the cover of every magazine! People will be dying to see you in every action movie! Imagine, a new Godzilla with you as the star!" I didn't respond. The reality was, for a mark like this man obviously was, he did not realize how little my body had left. Soon I would be retiring. I needed to create stars. Or die in the ring. Takeo was right. We're not the Yakuza, although our business is similar.
  11. APPENDIX A An Outline of EXODUS 2010 in January 2020 As I sat down on New Year's Eve of 2019 to begin writing this, I figured I'd throw together a quick sketch of what the company looked like, who the major stars were and champions at the time. I will include other appendices to refer to in the writing to see where we may be during certain times in writing this book. The details will be a weirdo's dream in 50 years when they try to figure out who was in EXODUS at what time. At the top of the card, is the EXODUS World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Masao Tsubouchi. Tsubouchi is the closest we had to an ace in 2020. Alongside Tsubouchi is Tsuneyo Yanagimoto, who has been at the company as long as Tsubouchi has (both were signed in our early days). Then myself. The three of us sit at the top of the card, a triumvirate of sorts. All three of us are the only 3X champions in the history of the company (with Tsubouchi winning the belt for the 3rd time a few months ago) and we can put a match on with almost anyone. As I look towards retiring, however, there remains a few people who can replace me. Two of those men I am considering are Orange Tsuchie and Pretty Okakura. Both run opposite ends of the gimmick spectrum. Tsuchie is a serious shaolin monk type which has gotten over quite well. Okakura's gimmick is actually similar to Tsubouchi's in that both men use theatrics to their advantage. The difference is the ladies love Pretty Okakura's "is he gay? is he camp? is he metrosexual?" as the charismatic one lays it on thick. Both men can fill my spot, although Tsuchie has the edge. For Okakura, this isn't the end of the world as his team with Shirai Yanagawa is a huge hit with the fans, despite only one title reign to their credit. Of course, there are two others: Commander Kawagishi and Shimpei Hirose, leaders of the Order of the Dragon. Along with their young lions, Kawagishi & Hirose have the spent the last year making sure the Order is synonymous with EX2010, getting involved in all 3 title scenes. While the belts have eluded the Order so far, it won't be long until the veterans teach their young lions how to win and it's possible by 2021 that they hold all of the gold in EX. On the other end is the Art of War, featuring Japanese Phoenix, Jotaro Tanaka and Musashi. 2019 wasn't kind to them. 2020 looks to be the year they turn it around however, as the businessmen of EX20 have the chance to reset and reallign, perhaps even going after the tag titles? The tag division isn't an easy one to get through though. H-X, the current champs, DISCO Boys, Galaxy Surgers and Kimiyama & Kogo are all former champs, and while the Art of War's Revengers are the most decorated team in the division, there is not one team that isn't capable of capturing the gold. There is also one more belt to compete with in EX2010 currently: the All-Asia Junior Heavyweight belt, currently held by Tobei Sugimura. Sugimura is another mainstay of the tag division, teaming with Isamu Kijimuta as The Legion, but both men have singles aspirations currently. Kaoru Shibasawa however is the next top contender, after defeating Naoya Shinozaki in a contenders match. Also, there's Kuemon Hotta in the division, acting as a gatekeeper of sorts, being the proving ground before the proving ground for many young lions and youngsters in the company. One such youngster? Midnight Tiger who will be doing battle through the division in 2020. We also have a fairly new young lion. I haven't learned his name yet. Naganori Watari helps book matches, Tanosuke Joshuyo & Takeji Komagata call matches and Toshimichi Tsurimi is our long time ref and rival of Pretty Okakura. Oh, I should probably also include the top trophy a Junior Heavyweight can win: The Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix.A round robin qualifier is set up first, with each qualifier finalist being able to compete in a single elimination tournament in August. It is open for anyone under EX20 contracts, and a great place for young lions to attempt to prove themselves.
  12. Welcome to Exile Introduction. When people look back at the career of Oniji Takashita, they will see my career in four stages. The young lion who thought he knew better, that is Takashita in Burning Hammer. There I learned shame, and while I promised never to do it again, I had not yet learned humility. The second stage will be the Takashita comeback and burnout. I had been out of the spotlight for a year, and many thought I had learned to mind myself but my pride took over once again and once again I found my way out of the company. I was one of the top guys, winning their top belt twice as well as multiple tag runs. In those first two stages, I became a very well decorated Junior Heavyweight. I used it when contacted by Yoshi to sculpt the future of the Japanese Junior Heavyweight scene. This was the third stage: the ace of of a new company. Behind my name (and, I admit, past controversy) there was a small and loyal fanbase. The fans who wanted the faster paced action, who weren't loyal to the Burning Hammers, or Golden Canvases. It filled a niche and while we aren't the biggest, we created a loyal base of exiles. Which brings me to my final stage. As I write this, I will write the accounts of my final leg of my journey. The journey which sees me live out my life in exile. I will no longer be in the Burning Hammers or the Golden Canvases. There is no Pride, No Glory and No Honor in Exile. There is no World stages, or anything of the such. It is in front of a couple of hundred rejects like me, looking to change society, that I will live out this journey. One day I will hang the mask up, hang the boots up and simply become Oniji again. But until then: we will not confirm. We will not submit. We will not sell out. We are EXODUS 2010. Welcome to Exile.
  13. Besides Cox, who has been mentioned, I would say Dread. He was the longest reigning gaijin champ, has a school right now and could coincide it with his school. Dread seems richer than Cox, so maybe Cox is his booker?
  14. You could have each default worker run a training academy as well
  15. <p>For those who are saying the sexuality feature was just a switch that would happen, yes. The game is a bit of data and technically it's a switch.</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure you can simulate sexuality properly, especially the closeted aspects. I mean, can anyone simulate properly a closeted homosexual man in a machismo world of a 1980s south texas locker room. Let's be honest, even until recently homosexuality wasn't accepted in wrestling. At least from the fans perspective. So any historical simming of a man out of the closet is going to have some effects. Don't believe me? Look at Goldust who isn't a homosexual playing someone. I remember being told in 1995 by a family friend that we boo him because he was a fag.</p><p> </p><p> I am watching through some early seasons of Survivor with my wife, and it's amazing that terms like "FNF/fat naked fag" to describe Rich or queer are used in a negative sense. Even in the 3rd season, 2002, there's people thinking they voted for someone because they were gay. Billy & Chuck was a comedy angle during this time (2005? I forget). </p><p> </p><p> You have rumors of JBL raping people as a rib. Stuff like that going on in the locker rooms.</p><p> </p><p> Also for those saying it has never had impact: look up rumors of Brawler/Patterson, look up how Chris Kanyon wanted to be the first openly gay wrestler and was forced to come out as Boy George and get his ass kicked. How much did he suffered with bipolar disorder because of his closeted nature. Ernie Roth (the Grand Wizard) stayed closeted his entire lifetime. Even Orlando Jordan can be categorized there. Homosexuality hasn't been positive in wrestling (on and off screen) despite men like Pat Patterson in the background. Those are some examples off the top of my head but don't tell me homosexuality doesn't matter in wrestling when it does.</p>
  16. What would happen if I tried to put a belt in a catchweight fight?
  17. <p>I just had one of the best main events (from a watching stand point, not rating). It's February 2005, I'm controlling SIGMA. Hassan Fezzik came out of retirement and of course I booked him against my Heavyweight champion, Hanif Hussain who just had a trio of fights with Ari Peltonen (which saw him become a 2X champion). Hussain has been unstoppable in his last 5 fights. 3 TKOs (Peltonen 2X and Ya Konan) and 2 KOs (Van Post, Spencer Rubenstein).</p><p> </p><p> So in comes the fight. It had to be rescheduled from December to February after an injury to Hussain during training, no problem. He's 100%, so is Fezzik. Hussain is immediately taking down (much like he was in the first fight with Peltonen) and I'm thinking that's it. Fezzik does about 6-7 submission attempts but can't finish him off.</p><p> </p><p> Round 2, Hussain keeps it standing for the first couple of minutes and rocks Fezzik, but then breaks his hand! I couldn't believe it, he has a chance to finish Fezzik but not only cannot finish Fezzik, the 1 dimensional fighter is now pretty much screwed! Immediately Fezzik does a takedown and locks in an armbar... And instead of tapping out, the ref has to call for the bell because he won't tap out!</p><p> </p><p> Insane fight.</p><p> </p><p> It sets up Fezzik-Hussain II down the road, if Fezzik doesn't retire again before then.</p>
  18. <p>September 1995 - September 1997</p><p> </p><p> WCW World Champion (unified with ECW World Title) - Shane Douglas (August '97, World War 3, Prestige 92)</p><p> Douglas defeated Cactus Jack to unify the WCW and ECW titles. This actually wasn't the original plan Steven Regal was ECW champion, but after popping for hard drugs (this is after someone OD'd), I sent him to rehab leaving Douglas as the logical champion. Douglas had been feuding with the Horsemen, Cactus Jack with the NWO which led to both factions supporting the other. This is going to lead to a huge War Games match and eventually Douglas vs. Arn Anderson at Starrcade.</p><p> Previous Champs: Cactus Jack, The Giant, Randy Savage, Scott Hall, Mankind, Savage, Hulk Hogan (start)</p><p> </p><p> WCW United States Champion - Toshiaki Kawada (June '97, Great American Bash, Prestige 100)</p><p> Kawada has been on fire since joining the company and the US belt has become sort of the work rate belt in the company. This is Kawada's second reign with the belt, defeating Shawn Michaels for it at Great American Bash. After a Tokyo Dome Showdown with Kenta Kobashi, Kawada finds himself in a feud with former champion Steve Williams heading into Fall Brawl.</p><p> Previous: Shawn Michaels, Kawada, Owen Hart, Bob Backlund, Lex Luger, NWO Sting, Steve Williams, Shane Douglas, Scott Steiner, Lord Steven Regal, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Regal, Eddy Guerrero, Michael Wallstreet, Sting</p><p> </p><p> WCW World Television Champion (unified with ECW World TV title) - Rocky Johnson Jr. (won on Nitro, Week 4, August 97, Prestige 62)</p><p> The man with the shortest reign, Rocky Johnson Jr. has been more of a man of the microphone rather than the mat as he has taken every opportunity to show rival talk show host Roddy Piper who draws better ratings. This has led Rocky to a few embarrassing losses, including at the hands of Sting, Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage, but recently the newly christened "Rock" has been on a hot streak including beating former champion, NWO: Varsity Club member Mike Rotunda. While the two were scheduled to go toe to toe at Fall Brawl, Rotunda has forfeited his title shot to be in the War Games match leaving Rock's talk show rival Roddy Piper to be his first challenger for the belt!</p><p> </p><p> WCW Grand Cruiserweight Champion: Vacant (Prestige: 82)</p><p> The last champion was Rey Misterio Jr. who broke his neck during the World War 3 battle royal. So there's a tournament underway to crown the new champion. Unlike the annual Super J which is a 32 men invitational that takes in the spring, this is an 8 man tournament. Alex Wright, Chavo Guerrero Jr., La Parka and Dean Malenko remain. The name for the belt comes from the fact it was a merger of four championships: the WCW Cruiserweight belt, the WAR Jr. Heavyweight title, FMW Jr. Heavyweight title and the NWA Jr. Heavyweight belt (Florida). </p><p> Previous Champs: Rey Misterio Jr. (broke his neck), Mikey Whipwreck, Chris Benoit, Whipwreck, Vacant, La Parka (broke his arm), Chavo Guerrero Jr., Jay Cage (Christian), Misterio, Jericho, Al Perez, Adam Copeland, Jericho (Inaugural)</p><p> </p><p> World War 3 - Arn Anderson (97)</p><p> Previous: Shawn Michaels (96), Randy Savage (95)</p><p> </p><p> Super J Cup - Mikey Whipwreck (97)</p><p> Previous: Jericho (96), Wild Pegasus (94)</p>
