  1. Any update on progress Derek? Very excited about this project!!
  2. Have you ever gotten the "______ and ______ have zero chemistry as a tag team" note and still decided to use them and give them a major push?
  3. Sorry, but I don't think that you can. Hopefully I am wrong and someone can let us know, but I have been unsuccessful in doing so.
  4. 1) Whenever I am listening to a wrestling podcast and they are talking about a specific era, worker or angle, I automatically want to start up a new save and play it out. Do you ever do this? :0) 2) Also, side question: If you are a podcast listener... Very often Bruce Pritchard, Jim Ross, Arn Anderson, Eric Bischoff, Tony Shiavone and others blatantly say that Dave Meltzer is very unreliable in the "Rumors" that he has passed off as fact over the years. Has listening to these podcasts changed your view of Meltzer? I have to admit, I have lost some respect for Dave. If it was just one of these guys that question him, I would mark it off as a personal dispute between them and Meltzer, but each one of them has mentioned that they feel as though much of Dave's stuff is very unreliable. What do you think?

I agree that they are a problem, but it's that they're too loose and allow too many people to get ridiculously popular.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thank you for pointing that out my friend. I will re-examine that. That is good news! Thank you!</p>
  6. I love having the opportunity to have more than 3 brands in 2020, but not being able to click a box and move multiple workers at once makes it a chore to move workers around. 2020 offers ability to move Title Belts. I love this idea, unfortunately, you cannot move the worker with the belt as champion. The belt is vacated. 2016 you can assign a worker to “work down there” in a developmental territory if you have nothing for them at the time (even if they do not need to work on abilities). In 2020 we no longer have this option. I definitely choose the 2016 interface over the 2020 interface. Booking a show screen flows much smoother for me in 2016. I think sorting a worker by skill is so much easier in 2016. I find the gimmick options much better in 2020, but I also find them extremely random when it is applied to the worker. In 2016 we can go to the user talents of the player and adjust how you want to spread them out at any time during the game. In 2020, once you set them you cannot go in and change them. I hate that we have very limited flexibility in the in game editor mode of contracts. I think the “angles” in 2020 seem to be designed to be intentionally more difficult for the sake of just being difficult. If two guys great on the microphone get a lower grade only because I choose “microphone” for both, then I think that is trying to over think the room. In every mod that I have played around with in 2020 the backstage is filled with red “mildly negative influence” people causing way too many “incidents” every show. This tells me that the attributes section has been totally revamped. I am not a fan of the work that we have to go through to adjust every worker to fix this. The forced product for each promotion allows very little flexibility in TEW 2020. The fact that a number of my favorite mod makers have already bailed on making mods for 2020 because they find that the new game is just too difficult for them to work with, means that as a RW mod player, my options will be limited. The predetermined popularity cap in 2020 is just something that I am not interested in. I am not saying that it is right or wrong, I just don’t want it. I feel like this game is made to please “gamers” with a desire to “win and move to the next level” more than guys like me who just want to fantasy book and enjoy reliving and rewriting history. I feel like changes were made to 2020 to “prevent people from cheating” or “working around the system”. While I do very little of that, I think the player should have a right to play any way they choose. I have read the advice of “just play 2020 in sandbox mode” many times. While that may keep some of the changes to the game from taking effect, it does not stop them from popping up on screen constantly reminding you how poorly you are at playing the new version of this game.
  7. I have the 1.00 version. Is there a more updated version? Thanks for all the hard work Mammoth!!!!
  8. I am playing a Real World mod. Where is the setting to stop fictional workers from being generated? I only want real life workers to debut. Thank you in advance!
  9. I thought this was addressed in this version of the game! Gagne is no where near Flair in popularity in ANY area. Flair is Ranked #2 in World Popularity and Gagne is not even in the top 100. Flair is #2 in the Power 500, Gagne is #341. How can this happen? Yes, Gagne is a "Major Star" in Central States Wrestling, but not a Major Star in any of the other organizations that he works for. This is ridiculous. We need a little more control over this. I was sure that I read something about this version being better about Alliance Title Changes. Apparently not. Honestly, to me my game is ruined. Having GREG GAGNE even in the list of former champions totally takes me out of the game. AAAARRRGGGH!
  10. I have to admit, now that I have given up on 2020, I am loving 2016 more than ever!
  11. I bought TEW 2020 immediately. Ever since playing EWR many years ago I have purchased every version of the game the same day it was released. For me, 2020 is a game that limits the way that I love playing the game. The disadvantages far out way the advantages. I posted this in the TEW 2020 forum: "I am beginning to think that TEW 2020 is not for me and that's ok. It's my fault, not the game's. Let me start by saying, I have purchased and been playing these games since it's earliest incarnations many years ago (EWR, etc..) and purchased this version immediately. I am also OLD (in my mid 50's). I am not a "gamer". I love wrestling. My earliest memories are sitting in my grandmother's living room in the 70's and early 80's watching her yell at every heel that graced her small tv screen. I am starting to realize that I have no desire to "Win" at this game. I just want to relive or rewrite history. I have these same problems with the cverse, but generally I love to play real world mods, especially early 80's. I guess I do want to grow my company, but even more importantly, I want to book guys that I loved watching over the years against each other. I want to create neat angles to set up big blow off matches. I want to set up feuds with guys that I remember seeing feud before and even more importantly set up feuds that never took place. I play to take myself out of real life. I play to escape to a fantasy time of pretending that I can control a wrestling universe the way that I wanted it to unfold. I do not play to "win" at the game, but the more that I play this version the more I am reminded how I keep "losing". It is becoming very disheartening. I realize I am mostly playing Mods and not the cverse, but I played the same mods in past games and didn't have these problems. Again, the problem is not the "game", it's me. The game is being made to be more competitive against the AI and I have come to realize that I just don't really care about that. I just want to play at being a booker, owner, writer, etc in wrestling. Changes in the new game makes it very difficult to have real life gimmicks work (IE: Andre enters my company as awful at being a Giant, Ivan Koloff being rated poor as an Evil Foreigner, Steve Austin is awful as a Bad Ass). It just seems so random and takes me out of the game. Any game where Ricky Steamboat vs Ric Flair in the 80's gets a 63 match rating at a PPV is just not the game for me since I obviously do not know how to book well enough to get a higher rating. Using the same mod for the same match resulted in more realistic ratings in previous versions of TEW. I shouldn't care about the rating, but it just takes me out of the game. When a Roddy Piper interview segment continues to bomb because I cannot figure out whether Randy Savage is better rated on "entertainer, microphone, star quality or overness" just makes me continue to think, "There is no way a Piper/ Savage interview should bomb in this game when it never bombed in any of the past versions of the game using the same mod. The in game editor removing A LOT of editing possibilities in order to add more "difficulty" to the game is not the "in game editor" that I want. Again, It's not the game, it's me. I am old and not competitively trying to outsmart the game. I just want to fantasy book wrestling. Every step of this game seems to be saying to me, "We changed it to make it harder for you, so you can't beat the system." I don't want to "beat" anything. I just want to enjoy this game the way that I enjoyed every version in the past. I am so excited about new game additions (more brands, playing as child companies, moving title belts and so many more), but I cannot enjoying those options when I feel like I am constantly being reminded at every turn in the game that I am not smart enough to play this game. I admit, it's me not the game so no need to flame this into a debate. I am just telling how I feel playing this version. I know there is a learning curve, but my playing time is limited and I am old. Obviously, the game has past me by. I have never been a competitive gamer who had to beat the next level. I am just a wrestling fan who has a hard time finding joy in a game that seems to have been made to make sure I am as competitive as possible. I don't want to compete against the AI. I don't care how much money other companies make. I just want to enjoy playing my game. I guess that's the real problem. It doesn't feel like this game wasn't made for me. I totally understand that, I just hate admitting to myself that I am being left behind. Oh well, my fault." I have gone back to 2016. I may return to 2020, but honestly, I doubt it.
  12. It really bothers me to type that title, but I am beginning to think that TEW 2020 is not for me and that's ok. It's my fault, not the game's. 13. WOO HOO! Definitely one of my favorites!! Thanks Jaysin!!!
  14. Thanks. Am I mistaken, couldn't we adjust them (add or subtract) them in past games?
  15. This has always been a problem in TEW. Why is it that when I am a part of an Alliance, I cannot sign a fellow Alliance companies worker to an Exclusive Contract because we have an "agreement" to not "steal" each others workers. Yet, they can sign my worker away to an Exclusive Contract? This is a weird double standard. How can they have an agreement with me so I can't steal their worker, but they can poach mine whenever they want? Is this a tech issue? If not can someone explain it to me?
  16. After testing. You cannot move worker and title to child company without vacating title. At least not that I can tell.
  17. If we move a Title Belt to a new Child Company does the belt get vacated when it goes to the new company? What about if I "send away" the worker with it? Will he still have the title belt? I kind of want to be sure before I try it. hehehe
  18. If this is already possible, please forgive me, but I would love to add an entire stable to an angle without having to add each one individually.
  19. I have a 1983 saved game converted to TEW 2020. I have been the owner of the NWA. I recently bought VKM out and now own WWF. The AWA is losing money every week and I am sure that one day in the future I will buy them out. I do not plan to turn them into developmental but I want to pillage them like I did WWF and run three separate shows using three different brands and keep them separate. My question is this: Right now since I began as the owner of the NWA, NWA is my "Company name". I don't really like reading that the "NWA ran WWF All Star Wrestling", etc. I want to change the name of my "parent" company to something different and have a NWA, WWF, AWA brand and keep all three alive. What would be a good name for my parent company. I immediately thought of World Championship Wrestling, but for obvious reasons I am on the fence about it. What would you name the parent company?
