  1. I have a 1983 saved game converted to TEW 2020. I have been the owner of the NWA. I recently bought VKM out and now own WWF. The AWA is losing money every week and I am sure that one day in the future I will buy them out. I do not plan to turn them into developmental but I want to pillage them like I did WWF and run three separate shows using three different brands and keep them separate. My question is this:

Right now since I began as the owner of the NWA, NWA is my "Company name". I don't really like reading that the "NWA ran WWF All Star Wrestling", etc. I want to change the name of my "parent" company to something different and have a NWA, WWF, AWA brand and keep all three alive. What would be a good name for my parent company. I immediately thought of World Championship Wrestling, but for obvious reasons I am on the fence about it. What would you name the parent company?

  2. Without this option I greatly lose my immersion joy of the game. It is not realistic to not have seasoned vets in training territories. Not Shawn Michaels type of trainers but guys who ride the roads and actually work in the ring on shows with younger talent. If most veterans complain about being in developmental and want to leave, who is teaching the younger guys how to work.

I play 80's mods. There were VERY few, if any, what you would call "developmental" companies in the 80's. Yes, there were bigger companies that guys strived to get to but they worked in smaller territories most of their lives and promoters brought in vets to work with younger talent. I like to buy up dying territories and keep them alive by stocking them with Vet and Young talent. The "Working down there" option allowed me to do that. Now, almost every veteran complains and wants to be "brought up". My view is there is no "up" to be brought to. I own six different promotions (takeovers of dying companies) and I want you to work for World Class or I want you to work for Pacific Northwest or I want you to work for Florida Championship Wrestling. It's not about getting to a "main roster" it's about getting over and bringing a dying company back to life, thus keeping the territories alive.

Without being able to buy the dying companies and putting vets there to train the younger guys all the territories die.

  3. Bumping this. I want this option back. It was in past games and made my game play much more exciting as I used it to move talent around the world and keep the "territories" alive.

Also, in 2020 we have to do all the hiring for our child company. Every true developmental company has seasoned vets working the territory to train the young guys. I am not talking "trainers" the way Shawn Michaels is in NXT, I am talking about vets who traveled the roads and worked on the shows with the young talent. Having seasoned vets in small promotions was always the norm in the 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's. We have only in recent years come up with the concept of "Main Roster" and "developmental". Yes, in the territory days there were bigger companies that workers desired to eventually work for, but they worked all over.

If you are playing a 1980's mod the concept of "developmental" is not quite as clear cut and defined as it is now. I want to be able to buy up dying territories, keep them alive by stocking them with good veteran workers AND young talent. I can't do that if every one of my veteran workers want to come up to the "main roster". We could do it in the past games and I would like to do it now.

Yay!"</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I didn't view it that way. I will buy dying promotions to save them. I play early 1980's mods. I don't buy them to turn them into developmental territories, I buy them to keep the territories alive and give guys more places to work. I viewed it as "I need you to head over to Memphis. It's dying. Go get over, baby (Dusty quote) and turn it around."</p><p> </p><p> :0)</p>
  5. In 2016 we could send almost any talent down to Development using the "Work Down There" option and they would not complain about being there. This was great when you just wanted to freshen things up and try new talent or just didn't have anything planned for an older talent. It also helped to populate my child companies.

With that option gone I am getting "Request" from almost every body that I have sent down wanting to come back up to the main roster. Can we please have the "work down there option back????

    Thank you!!

It was a good way to give guys an option to work if you had nothing for them at the time. </p><p> 2020 does not appear to have that option.</p>

  8. In every 2016 database that I convert to 2020, almost all of the workers have mildly negative influence on the backstage. Even ones that were a positive influence in 2016.

I realize that it is because all of the attributes and personalities don't quite transfer from 2016 to 2020 properly.

What attributes or personality traits can I change in the in game editor to turn someone from a negative influence to at least neutral. These negative influences are really taking me out of the game. I know it's not 2020's fault, I just want to know what can I do to remedy it?

I am have a hard time believing that my locker room leader in 2016, Ricky Steamboat is causing so many fights in 2020. hehehehe

Any insight would be awesome. Thanks!!

  10. If you could somehow get this mod to the point where it can run a save from 1934 to 2020 I don't think I'll ever need another mod again.

If there's anything I can do to help make this happen please let me know. This is the dream mod!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I started with Jim Crockett Promotions in 1934!! I would love to be able to make it to the glorious 80's!!

I Know there is a 70's mod out there for TEW 2016. If we only had a good 50's and 60's mod, how great that would be!!

I am willing to help out in any way that I can. I have no idea where to begin, but willing to learn. :0)
