  1. He wigged out backstage on somebody. Beyond that, nobodies talking.
  2. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ef/Hitman_3_artwork.jpg Which is a play on the Hitman: Contracts cover...
  3. It's May homie settle down... It wasn't Shawn Michaels vs Razor Ramon or anything just a solid **** match. And that wasn't even the co-main Ryback-Hunico was... Which was .... whatever that was.
  4. A few too many filler matches... Highlight of the night? Rybeck's "Goldberg" chant... was marvelous. Second to that was Punk-Bryan, which was everything it was supposed to be, good slow-build on it as well. Lowlight was the Cena-Big Johnny match. Played out like a physical version of the raw promo with that telegraphed Big Show heel turn... Overall: if this was TEW I'd rate it a C+ PPV. Better than I feared, still terrible by WWE standards.
  5. First hr I though this could pull it out, last hour I wanted to shoot myself....
  6. I would agree with you, but then there's this real world thing. And it's real and everything... I am not an SoIF guy, so, I can't speak to GoT. BUT TOM BOMBADIL MAN.... COME ON HOW CAN YOU DENY THE GENIUS! I'm more upset by the 78 endings in Return of the King... Dear lord, end the ****ing movie. As for AMC's The Walking Dead... **** that thing, **** it in all imaginable places, with sharp flaming objects.
  7. They also reordered the card and buried it behind the Tag-Title match and almost surely, the US/IC title match. Who's booking this card? TEW AI?
  8. Because the visual medium is always going to be the dominant of the two in people's mind. Like, go ask somebody what they thought of The Walking Dead #78 at the grocery store... Describe the blank stare you get... Unless what you're changing is unanimously for the better, you're doing the property a disservice. See: The Watchmen. Which now nobody talks about because the movie sucked. I'd rather have to sit through the same awesome than something inferior, or worse... Superior. Because the thing I love gets shit on either way. Ones more digestible than the other; hurts both ways though.
  9. There's only 5 matches on this card... Unless Cena-Johnny is going 30, they've got to get the typical 1hr 15-1hr 30 of match time. Unless they're going to have Paul Heyman do a 40min Brock Lesnar legal skit... Which... probably could happen actually...
  10. I agree. Over the Limit is really just a warm-down PPV. But, the WWE has the roster to run 12 great PPVs, so it should run 12 great PPVs. Kane vs. Zack Ryder in 4:01 via sadness; Kane sits in the back ready for when he gets squashed on RAW by Brodus Clay... Battle Royale: Who ****ing cares? Kofi Kingston & R-Truth © vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger - 8:15; via pinfall. Yeah, don't even know why this is on the card really. If the champs don't retain it'll be the worst booking decision since The Gobbledy Gooker was still in his egg. Layla © vs. Beth Phoenix at 5:46 via DQ after Kharma "runs" in and destroys Beth as Layla runs off with her belt... sets up feud for No Way Out... maybe? CM Punk © vs. Daniel Bryan at 15:18 via pinfall; - Words cannot describe how disappointed I am right now. Sheamus© vs. Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio - over Del Rio at 18:14 via pinfall; Orton is the guy right now and this just screams set-up feud for Orton-Lesnar's cage-match at No Way Out. Weather that includes Sheamus or not in some way, who cares? John Cena vs. John Laurinaitis at 11:08 via pinfall following botched interference from Joe Laurinaitis and actual interference from Dean Ambrose... Projected Show Grade: D
  11. Same for The Walking Dead... Rips my comic loving heart out on a weekly basis.
  12. "iPPVs" are fine. Well as long as you're not running brownout territories, and you know how to set up internet on-site. The problem is most of these companies don't know what the **** they're doing. Point Blank. I mean ROH was on GoFightLive... I hope I don't have to tell you what a bunch of clowns run that ****ing service. UFC runs optional iPPVs in 1080p for PC/Mobile and XBOX360. They give away parts of their undercards on Facebook. Bellator runs streams of their shows just fine, with 10 times the viewership numbers on Spike.com, which probably has less working capitol than ROH does right now. It's just ROH being overly stingy. Not paying companies like EdgeCast or any other half-decent CDN is on them. They look bush league, because they are bush league; and their ownership has no desire to see that change.
  13. On this same note: http://botchedspot.com/files/comics/2012-05-09-predator.jpg
  14. In a sports entertainment model where you are in the storylines is all that matters to your long-term prospects. How much money is Sheamus really making the WWE right now? Every ad for Over The Limit right now is about Randy Orton. Cena is getting all of the Raw rub. It's clear where creative want their bread to be buttered moving forward. Orton/Sheamus/Cena/Lesnar. Everybody else can job to Brodus Clay and Lord Tensai...
  15. I wouldn't put myself in that category. I've never seen a ROH show before. I'm a casual, if you're going to typecast me.
  16. He was trolling M-1... He's been feuding on twitter with Egveni Kogan who was coaching Micheal Zayats when he made his last defense because he told them he was walking after his deal was finished. I'm pretty sure the bs bids were probably made my M-1 to save face. It's hilarious.
  17. I think the WWE are setting it up to fail. Punk-Bryan will be great, but it won't sell without a hard push. This is setting up the, "look nerds, Punk isn't a draw" push down the card. The sell on this Cena match with a non-wrestler is pretty dumb. Like... who cares? It's going to suck. At best it'll be Team Teddy vs. Team Laurinitus from WM... which bombed. Shemus and Randy Orton... Yawn. Also the way they put that Raw together was like watching a carwreck... Big Show canned, everybody stunned. Cole somber.... HERE COMES A BRODUS CLAY SQUASH GUYS! GET FUNKY! This seems sloppy on every level, definitively a transitional PPV here.
  18. Rick Rude was fun... Val Venis though... OMG, I think my mom had an aneurysm when she saw his titantron intro.
  19. One dude with an X-name in FCW, Xavier Woods. So, that would be my first guess. Maybe they have a new Mayan calender Y2J gimmick for him?
  20. They have been bringing in prospects though, and guys like Robert Drysdale and Xande Ribero are available. So, maybe they can piece together a half-decent field by January. As for Pro-Wrestling they rushed Ken Shamrock through developmental in a very short period. And, this isn't the WWE. They still use Hogan, Flair, Sting and Foley for god sakes. Also if you look back on "Ron "The Truth" Killings" early career you'll see that the dude barely wrestled in the indy's. He would just come out and literally make fun of random people in the crowd. It got him crazy over too.
  21. From what I understand looking around at financials, and what the media has printed on the topic: TNA is DEEP in the hole. Numbers like 150M have been thrown around... They're paying wrestlers and vendors late, it sounds like they may not last the year. But that's just my outsider interpretation, I'm definitely not invested in the product like you guys, so maybe I'm missing something. I do know this is Spike's(Viacom's) idea, and they're footing Mo's contract on at least TNA's side, probably both sides. That's just from being deeply invested from the MMA point of this.
  22. 1. I'm almost 100% sure they have no idea what they're doing with him right now. He'll go to 3D academy and train with Al Snow and/or Ric Flair, do a match or two in OVW and then they'll figure it out. 2. I agree, but I doubt they'll sell it like that, if I was them I'd just Keyfabe that MMA was just a "new form of fight" neither superior of inferior to Pro Wrestling. But honestly, if there's one thing TNA fans are used to, it's being shit on. 3. I agree. And considering Kurt's push right now, I could see it. TNA actually has a lot of smaller guys. Guys like Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode and Rob Van Damm. Sting and Angle are two of the biggest guys on that roster. Both are MWs in MMA. They're really a high-flying promotion trying to run WWE style matches; Which is to say a serious miss-use of resources.
  23. Bellator runs a seasonal tournament product, 3 fights-in-3-months winner faces champion. Champion fights twice a year, only defends against tourney winner, 1 tourney per year. So it's possible he could work up to 8mos of the year for TNA. Up to him.
  24. He's got legit amateur wrestling chops... could run a solid R-Truth/Next-Big-Thing/Jerry Lawler mash-up gimmick. Going to have to work hard to put together a pro wrestling move-set if they have plans for him to be anything in-ring. For Viacom and Bellator it's good synergy with impending Spike move. For TNA, considering current financial realities, it's not like they can say no.
